Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

Dr Lynch is very smart and I have had a great experience so far. She understands that I am trying to be very aggressive and I don't want to delay any new treatments or strategy, and she is helping me move forward from my most recent loss. I feel like I am in good hands with her and she will help solve my unexplained RPL.... She has called me and answered all my questions, as did the nurses. She is quick to follow up with me and is helping me choose the best path forward.
I have loved all the nurses [at Baystate Reproductive Med], especially Dottie. They have all been extremely compassionate. My most recent miscarriage was very difficult and they offered me details for a support group. They all follow up quickly with phone calls and seem very knowledgeable... I wish they had an email way to contact for a general question. Sometimes the phone line is a long wait and then you have to leave a message for a call back. It takes a little extra time which can be annoying. Though when I was having a miscarriage, they tried to page a nurse and when they couldn't get one, a nurse did call me back right away and offered to get me in for an appointment within the hour.

So far I have had a $500 initial consult with the doctor. All my ultrasounds have cost $200. I have high deductible insurance so it hasn't covered anything yet.

Dr. Lynch was very compassionate. She went over everything from diet to vitamins and medication. She gave us the time we deserved and so desperately wanted. Both my husband and I went to every appointment together and she spoke to both of us equally. His questions and comments were as important as my own. ... She gave us the option of how aggressive we wanted to be. We started off slow and let me dictate what we wanted to move on to next when something didn't work.
Weakness would be that they [Baystate Repro Med] are really busy but they are busy for a good reason. They are good. I loved the lab technicians that handled the specimen. They always had a great sense of humor. From the lab techs to the nurse that did the IUI's. They would always make you feel comfortable. ... I got a call from UCONN a few days prior to my appointment with them saying that Baystate had not sent my file to them.

Don't expect your appointment to be on time. They are very busy.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Kelly Lynch at Baystate Reproductive Medicine?
Even though the was always running late to appointments it was because she gives each patient the time they need to ask all the questions they needed/wanted answered.
Describe the protocols Kelly Lynch used in your cycles at Baystate Reproductive Medicine and their degree of success.
My insurance dictated the order in which we needed to do things but we had some wiggle room. She gave us the option of how aggressive we wanted to be. We started off slow and let me dictate what we wanted to move on to next when something didn't work. We did timed intercourse the first month. Then moved up to medicated timed intercourse. Then moved up to medicated/monitored timed intercourse the next month finally moving up to Medicated IUI the third month. Before going into treatment I didn't have any strong opinions on how aggressive I wanted to be. Once we actually started appointments I didn't want to wait any longer. When something didn't work we moved on to the next step(that was allowed by insurance) Dr. Lynch was very accommodating to our approach.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Baystate Reproductive Medicine.
I loved the nursing staff. They were very companionate. If you had any questions they answered them. My only complaint with them is that they are a very busy office and would tell you of the next step in your procedure and assume that you knew what to do. For my first injectable they just told me to do it.. Luckily I was able to find a video from the pharmacy how/where to administer the trigger shot. From that point on I knew I had to ask questions immediately.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Baystate Reproductive Medicine.
When we switched to a clinic closer to home when we decided that we were going to move up to IVF I requested that my paperwork be sent down to UCONN well in advance about 2 months. I got a call from UCONN a few days prior to my appointment with them saying that Baystate had not sent my file to them. So I had to leave work to go up to Springfield to get my medical file the day before my appointment with the new dr. Who had required to have the paperwork prior to the appointment to have a full appointment.

I rarely saw Dr sites. Besides my first consult with her. ... I had to suggest/ask to use progesterone bc I felt my 11 day Luteal phase was too short. ... After that we met with Dr. Sites and she gave us the Diagnosis of LOR. she suggested a test to check my tubes (one of which turned out to be blocked). She then said our first course of action would be IUI (due to our insurance requirements). She explained everything well and we were satisfied. But that was i believe the only time we saw her. After that it was only nurses and US techs.
Although the rest of her [Dr, Sutes] nursing staff was very nice and helpful, the clinic [Baystate Repro Med] is large and you situation is not well known by most people you see ... But it is a hospital clinic so you are mostly a number. Nurses are great. Although i did have a problem getting my rx once, their system was down and they hadn't sent it in by the time i got to the pharmacy. Although it didn't workout for us, i don't think that is on them. We moved out of state so we switched clinics for our IVF cycles. We are still waiting for our BFP.
How was your experience with Cynthia Sites at Baystate Reproductive Medicine?
I was able to get my labs done prior to visiting, and had an ultrasound at the clinic.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Cynthia Sites at Baystate Reproductive Medicine?
Be your own advocate. She can be a bit old school. If you think you want Progesterone for your cycle. Ask for it!

Clomid for the first round. trigger shot and IUI after 36 hours. This one failed. Switched to Letrozol, did not trigger since this was on our blocked side. Letrozol again, triggered and IUI after 36 hours. Failed. After this we requested her office send a letter asking for us to start IVF.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Baystate Reproductive Medicine.
The nurses were very nice and helpful. After my first IUI i asked the nurse about progesterone for my short lateral phase. I said my periods/ spotting started very early. She said just ask me for it and I will RX it for you. not a problem.

It's one of the only clinics in the area. They do a good job and are well organized. But it is a hospital clinic so you are mostly a number. Nurses are great. Describe the costs associated with your care under Cynthia Sites at Baystate Reproductive Medicine.
Our insurance covered most of our treatments about 20% was left up to us.
