[Dr. Toloubeydokhti] pretty much instantly saw an abnormality with my uterus on the first visit that nobody else told me about...she does all your exams, you're not sent to some other office or someone else to perform you US...She explains everything before she begins, and she describes what's occurring during the process...The one thing that really stuck out for me were the 3 cycles of lipid injections she recommended after the transfer...She further described how the research has shown how the lipid infusions help calm the uterus in a way where the embryo is more successful. I'm really happy we did the lipid infusions just in case because thankfully our pregnancy was successful with the first transfer!
PROS [of The Center for Fertility & Gynecology]: -Even though their main office is in Tarzana, they also have an office located in Bakersfield on Tuesdays where you can go to some of your appointments so you don't have to drive as far. -Extremely professional and friendly MD and staff...CONS:...partially negative experience was the financial aspect. They do give you a breakdown of what to expect cost wise, but it felt like the actual cost was way more for everything. Yes, everybody has a unique case, but we definitely spent more then what we were anticipating. On a positive note, even though they don't accept payment through insurance they still tried to help me get reimbursed, which was difficult I know so I definitely appreciate them for that!
How was your experience with Tannaz Toloubeydokhti at The Center for Fertility & Gynecology?
I knew instantly that Dr. Tolou was the MD I wanted for my IVF procedure. Before seeing her I had gone through many appointments with other MDs, completed numerous diagnostic testing, completed numerous failed cycles using fertility medications, IUI procedures, etc; however, she pretty much instantly saw an abnormality with my uterus on the first visit that nobody else told me about. Thankfully, it wasn't a cause for concern, but the fact that she saw it and nobody else did just verified I wanted her as my MD! Not only that, but she does all your exams, you're not sent to some other office or someone else to perform you US, she does them which is also very comforting and reassuring. She explains everything before she begins, and she describes what's occurring during the process. I honestly can't say enough good things about Dr. Tolou, we are extremely happy with our experience with her, she made our dream come true!

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Tannaz Toloubeydokhti at The Center for Fertility & Gynecology?
Dr. Tolou and her staff were all very personable and professional. I've seen a few MD's regarding our fertility complications and I knew from the first day meeting Dr. Tolou that she was the one! She is honest and caring and has a way of helping you stay positive throughout the experience! The entire staff always greeted us by our names and with a smile!
Describe the protocols Tannaz Toloubeydokhti used in your cycles at The Center for Fertility & Gynecology and their degree of success.
The one thing that really stuck out for me were the 3 cycles of lipid injections she recommended after the transfer. She explained how some women have a uterus with a toxic-like environment that doesn't allow for a successful pregnancy and she described how you can only test for it by doing a biopsy while you're pregnant. She further described how the research has shown how the lipid infusions help calm the uterus in a way where the embryo is more successful. I'm really happy we did the lipid infusions just in case because thankfully our pregnancy was successful with the first transfer!
Describe your experience with your nurse at The Center for Fertility & Gynecology. (Assigned nurse: Tiffany! :))
Tiffany and the other nurses were wonderful! Again, they all would always greet me by name and they would always smile. The fertility journey can be a long, stressful, heartbreaking, and expensive one so having nurses that were always so thorough and pleasant was definitely helpful! Their positive attitudes helped relieve some of the nerves and stress I had.

PROS:
-Even though their main office is in Tarzana, they also have an office located in Bakersfield on Tuesdays where you can go to some of your appointments so you don't have to drive as far.
-Extremely professional and friendly MD and staff.
-Again can't say enough great things about Dr. Tolou, she is honestly AMAZING!
CONS:
-The only thing I have to say that was a partially negative experience was the financial aspect. They do give you a breakdown of what to expect cost wise, but it felt like the actual cost was way more for everything. Yes, everybody has a unique case, but we definitely spent more then what we were anticipating. Describe the costs associated with your care under Tannaz Toloubeydokhti at The Center for Fertility & Gynecology.
The financial aspect was a little bit confusing. I feel like I called the financial advisor a lot with questions/concerns. They give you a cost breakdown and "Other expenses" being pretty broad. When I originally got my cost breakdown it was during a time where they had a special going on, but the discount didn't apply to the whole cost of the procedure which was confusing. You pay up front for the procedures before you start, but the labs, medications, and I believe US had additional fees/costs too.
What specific things went wrong at The Center for Fertility & Gynecology?
- Provided conflicting information
Describe the specific things that went wrong at The Center for Fertility & Gynecology.
Just the financial aspect. We ended up paying more than we were anticipating and it was just a little confusing. Sometimes they would have me pay like $50 for labs when they drew my blood, but other times they didn't, so I was confused with that part because I never really knew when I was going to need to pay for something. You pay the lump sum up front but then there are additional expenses that come up like the labs and medications.
