Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
Dr. Chang ordered preliminary testing that included an HSG and SHG, of which he performed at his clinic. As a result of these tests, a large cyst was discovered on my left ovary, which Dr. Chang suggested that I follow up with my primary OBGYN (I am out of state) for treatment options before proceeding with IVF...even though we are choosing to use donor eggs, the cyst could cause future complications with any hormonal treatments used with IVF.
warm and friendly environment, plushy furniture, fireplace and refreshments...the rooms were not soundproof, which made us feel a little self-conscious in talking about our sensitive issues...[CNY Fertility Center] offered same day testing for semen analysis and transvaginal ultrasound...messaging system does not have the "reply" feature as in traditional email, and you are forced to create a new message every time you communicate with a member of their staff, even if it is in response to the same original message.
How was your experience with Eric Chang at CNY Fertility Center?
Dr. Chang was new to the clinic at the time of our initial appointment. Despite this fact, his demeanor and knowledge of the fertility world with his past experience provided us with ease and confidence in his ability to care for our needs. He was very thorough with his explanations of treatment options as well as statistics of possible outcomes, including examples of outcomes he has seen in his practice. Because of the extra care he took to provide us with factual data, we chose to take the next steps in treatment under his care.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Eric Chang at CNY Fertility Center?
He is down to earth and lighthearted. His calming presence will make anyone feel at ease. He will treat your sensitive situation with care and respect.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Eric Chang at CNY Fertility Center?
From the start, Dr. Chang was pleasant and down to earth. His explanations of statistics with regards to our specific situation were very thorough and helpful in guiding us on making sound, educated decisions about our treatment options.
Describe the protocols Eric Chang used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
We are still early in our treatment and had to pause temporarily due to COVID-19, however Dr. Chang ordered preliminary testing that included an HSG and SHG, of which he performed at his clinic. As a result of these tests, a large cyst was discovered on my left ovary, which Dr. Chang suggested that I follow up with my primary OBGYN (I am out of state) for treatment options before proceeding with IVF. Dr. Chang's rationale was that even though we are choosing to use donor eggs, the cyst could cause future complications with any hormonal treatments used with IVF. I am still awaiting the procedure for cyst removal.
Describe your experience with your nurse at CNY Fertility Center. (Assigned nurse: Allyson Santoro, RN)
Our nurse, Ally, has been helpful in describing any processes or procedures that are necessary for our treatment. She has been gracious and kind and always gives us options so that we can make informed decisions. We have had no problems with the nursing staff at the clinic. During my procedures, they have been courteous and thorough in their explanations of what to expect. The nursing staff is available through the patient portal as well as through the clinic if needed immediately. They have always been pleasant to work with.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
CNY is a clinic that was referred to us through my OBGYN. It was a "just in case" option should the need arise. After a few months, I heard about the same clinic from a friend who sought treatment resulting in a pregnancy, so my husband and I decided to try them out. The initial call was just to set up the intake, which was offered either over the phone or in person. The phone interview was a longer wait, so we chose to schedule an in-person intake and take a 4 hour trip to the clinic. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm and friendly environment, plushy furniture, fireplace and refreshments. One thing that took us by surprise was they asked us politely to remove our shoes and wear either disposable booties or their "complimentary" slippers. The rationale for this was not clear, however we complied out of politeness. Once we were called back for our consultation, the rooms were beautifully decorated with modern barn-style doors and comfy chairs. The downside was that the rooms were not soundproof, which made us feel a little self-conscious in talking about our sensitive issues. When Dr. Chang arrived, he set our mind at ease by asking pinpointed questions about our situation and gave us sound information and statistics, which helped us make an educated decision about treatment. The clinic offered same day testing for semen analysis and transvaginal ultrasound, which was helpful. Once the testing was complete, the nursing staff took over and assisted us in completing the necessary paperwork. The main form of communication once established as a patient is through the patient portal messaging system, which can be good or bad. A good point is that you can be thorough in providing them as much information in your message so that they have all of your concerns in one place. A bad point might be that if you do not have the patience necessary to wait on their response, you may find yourself becoming frustrated with the system. Also, their messaging system does not have the "reply" feature as in traditional email, and you are forced to create a new message every time you communicate with a member of their staff, even if it is in response to the same original message. All in all, this experience has been a positive one. As of right now, COVID-19 has halted our treatment, including that of our egg donor. We are waiting for the restrictions to be lifted for elective surgeries to continue so that we can move forward with our plans for IVF.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Eric Chang at CNY Fertility Center.
Costs were for initial intake and testing procedures. Costs and payment options were thoroughly explained.
Describe Eric Chang's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
No comments on eSET vs. MET. The paperwork explains these options thoroughly and are predetermined with package options.

[Dr. Grossman is] big on the autoimmune protocol, which was great for me because I have Hashimotos. So they had me on things like low dose naltrexone and prednisone, through our egg retrievals and transfer. They also had me on prograf and lovenox for our frozen embryo transfer, on top of the normal meds...made sure we never had any questions before any procedure. He was nice and straight forward. He was our doctor for our two egg retrievals and one frozen embryo transfer. Procedures were quick but went well.
The advice I’d give all CNY patients is to be your own advocate and join the CNY fb group. Because CNY is a low cost clinic, they don’t hold your hand through every step. The doctors, like Dr Grossman, are available for consults but, for the most part, they just perform the main procedures and leave the rest to the nurses...As a travel patient, we dealt mostly with the nurses on the travel team. They were all wonderful and got back to us quickly. They answered all our questions in a timely manner and were very organized.

Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
We loved our experience with CNY but it’s not for everyone. They don’t hold your hand, so you really have to be your own advocate and do your own research. But their treatment is up to par with the first fertility clinic we saw, which was three times the price of CNY.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center.
An IVF cycle is $3,900 plus $450 for a frozen transfer, plus monitoring. But we were travel patients and monitored in our home town.
Describe Michael Grossman's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
If you’ve done PGS testing on your embryos then CNY typically will only transfer 1 embryo at a time.

I thought that he [Dr. Michael Grossman] was very good. I only had him so far for my retrieval. I still have yet to have my FET. I was told to make sure that I ask the questions to be answered because he does not volunteer information. So if any one does see him, make sure you ask your questions before you go under anesthesia...I had a really good NP or PA who was able to help me dig deep into the rationale behind all the meds and the other meds that I was taking that I thought had nothing to do with my actually treatment.
I think that this clinic system [CNY Fertility Center] is busy. I expected to be treated well, and I was, but I will always compare my experience to how I was treated in Barbados...The files are open to all the providers and they consult each other on these cases. The protocol was different for me based on the other facilities I had gone to. I had a really good NP or PA who was able to help me dig deep into the rationale behind all the meds and the other meds that I was taking that I thought had nothing to do with my actually treatment. The biggest thing with this clinic (and all the ones I have encountered except Barbados) is communication.

Describe the protocols Michael Grossman used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
CNY works as a system overall. The files are open to all the providers and they consult each other on these cases.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
Overall I was very happy with the staff. The clinic system does not have a primary patient coordinator. Since this is a remote treatment situation for me, communication through the portal and phone calls. It has been difficult getting somethings explained in detail until you actually call and explain what you need. in my case it was my medication and supplement list.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
The one in Albany, Beautiful! a log cabin feel. Then they gave me a plush warm rob and the setting is no where near a hospital feel. I was very pleased with this and it made me feel really comfortable and at ease.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at CNY Fertility Center.
I have to go to a local facility (Texas Children's Pavilion for Women) and do remote monitoring.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center.
This clinic is the cheapest clinic for the basics in America.
Describe Michael Grossman's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
My understanding is that Dr. G will do what the pt wishes in reason but prefers to do 1. The NP explained the rational further for me and all the reasons for me, at my age, should have 1 at a time for FET.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
I went to ATL remote clinic to get plasma replacement and wanted to make sure my partner would be able to get his sperm sample done at the same appointment, ( he was not going to be able to come to NY with me.) They had him scheduled for lab in ATL, but not the donation. It was an easy fix, but it was not scheduled as requested.

I am happy that while he [Dr. David Corley] prefers eSET and will communicate such, he lets the patient make the final decision on the number of embryos to transfer once it is safe...made every effort to personalize my treatment, and unlike doctors at some other clinics with cookie cutter approaches, he was also open to my input on things we could try. It's clear that he cares more about the individual patient/couple's specific case than the clinic's SART success rates - something that I believe has given other doctors tunnel vision.
I did monitoring at another clinic since I was an out of state patient [with CNY Fertility Center]...About $4500 all said and done for one IVF cycle, medications cost another $1200 or so...Beautiful, clean facility, and they seem pretty well organized. We did not have a long wait time when we went there to do our egg retrieval. The staff was great and made us feel comfortable at what is usually a pretty nervous time.
How was your experience with David Corley at CNY Fertility Center?
Dr Corley's greatest strength as a doctor is his knowledge of new advances in reproductive endocrinology, and flexibility and willingness to be open to different protocols or courses of treatment. Infertility is not a one size fits all affliction. Not everyone will have better results with eSET or growing out our embryos to day 5. My issue is poor egg quality, and he came up with a treatment plan that included Metformin, low dose Naltrexone and some other cell building supplements. Because I'm an out of state patient I have not had a lot of face time with him, but I don't think that's much affected the quality of care I've received. The medical team is very responsive to any requests or questions made through the portal.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of David Corley at CNY Fertility Center?
Have all your ducks in a row before your first consultation, be ready to answer any questions on past test results or treatments when you do consult with him, either by phone or face to face. Be your own advocate if there's something new you want to try - he will listen to it and take it into account once it's reasonable.

Dr Corley made every effort to personalize my treatment, and unlike doctors at some other clinics with cookie cutter approaches, he was also open to my input on things we could try. During the consultation phase of the IVF process, my brain was overwhelmed by information and questions. He [Dr. Kiltz] made me feel calm and supported as we decided together on what was best for me. I was seeking an individualized experience and so far he has made the time to give me confidence in the plan. He not only discussed the medical side of the process with me, he also discussed lifestyle and perspective.
To work with this clinic [CNY Fertility], you have to be on top of your stuff. If you are looking for hand holding and a passive approach to your care, I wouldn’t recommend this clinic for you. If you have a strong voice and have done your research, I think this is a great fit! They support the approach you feel best about while giving their guidance and opinions as well.... 4K for egg retrieval cycle with fresh transfer

He not only discussed the medical side of the process with me, he also discussed lifestyle and perspective.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
He is a doctor in high demand, so do not expect him to reach out to you. However, if you have questions or concerns, you can expect him to respond quickly and with compassion.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
I was feeling anxious about the protocol plan and the nurses weren’t aligned to what was agreed to on the phone with the doctor. I texted him about my concerns and frustrations early on a Saturday morning. I did not ask him to call me that day, nor did I expect an immediate response. He called me immediately! He listened and spoke with me about life and the stresses of this process like he was my friend.
Describe the protocols Robert Kiltz used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
His approach is 300 Gonal/Foll and 150 MEN to start. This is my first IVF cycle, so he made an insightful statement that gave me much needed perspective: “We have to shoot before we aim sometimes.” We don’t know how I’ll respond to the medications so we have to start with what we think will be best and adjust as we learn how my body responds. I came to him with studies about Early Egg Retrieval and protocols other REs were using for women my age and he was not only open to discussing them, he said he would go with whatever approach I felt best about. He said a moderate approach seems like a good start because even though I’m 44, I have normal AMH and low to normal AFC (7). He also addressed my concerns about endometriosis and the abdominal inflammation in my body by putting me on LDN and HGH to start. I will write about the results I’m a couple of weeks when we see how many eggs we retrieve and fertilize.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
They are extremely busy and difficult to get in touch with. Done have been overly helpful, while others have made me feel like an inconvenience.

4K for egg retrieval cycle with fresh transfer (if you wanted that), ICSI, and assisted hatching (laser). $450 per frozen transfer.
Describe Robert Kiltz's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
I was relieved that he follows the most relevant and up to date studies for women my age. He is supportive and encouraging about multiple embryo transfers for my age and situation.
What specific things went wrong at CNY Fertility Center?

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
They have new doctors and overloaded nurses because they are becoming so popular. I had a long and informative consult with a newer doctor, but he did not follow through with what was agreed to on the call (I.e., stat prescriptions and follow up answers to important questions). The nurses did their best to help though!

Dr Chang has done all my retrievals and transfers, and each time remembers exactly what my file is - he is so positive, and is really a cheerleader for you!! I only see him for retrievals and transfers because he is so busy...He changed my menopur dose to double for my second retrieval since I got a lot of eggs the first time, but not many mature. He also gives the option of immune protocols which is really helpful...Dr Chang is so kind - he makes you feel comfortable, is always so happy, and tries to make you laugh to lighten the mood a bit....
I can’t say enough about the nurses [at CNY Fertility Center] - they remember you and details about your life, and it honestly seems like a family when you go. When having my miscarriage, the nurses were incredible and so compassionate...the atmosphere is beautiful and calming, you don’t feel like a number, the staff is amazing, it’s so easy to get seen right away if you need blood work or an ultrasound. They are also really fast to respond in the patient portal! Weaknesses - there’s no way to contact the clinic by phone sadly, which would be very helpful!...

He changed my menopur dose to double for my second retrieval since I got a lot of eggs the first time, but not many mature. He also gives the option of immune protocols which is really helpful!!
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
I can’t say enough about the nurses - they remember you and details about your life, and it honestly seems like a family when you go. When having my miscarriage, the nurses were incredible and so compassionate. Alexis is just an amazing human - I remember sitting in the room and she just hugged me while I cried until I felt better. They are honest about treatments and outcomes but also tell you the information in calm way. I cannot say enough about them.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
Strengths - the atmosphere is beautiful and calming, you don’t feel like a number, the staff is amazing, it’s so easy to get seen right away if you need blood work or an ultrasound. They are also really fast to respond in the patient portal! Weaknesses - there’s no way to contact the clinic by phone sadly, which would be very helpful!
Describe the costs associated with your care under Eric Chang at CNY Fertility Center.
For retrieval, monitoring and transfer, about $8.5k. Medications are covered under my insurance, but if they weren’t covered it would be approx. $10k in med costs. PGT testing is about $2k on top of the IVF/transfer costs.

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
It is so important when going to see your doctor that you are treated like a person; especially being a woman of color. The doctors that I would see before, I didn't feel like they heard me but right from the start in visiting Dr Kiltz in Syracuse, he made me feel right at home...Dr. Kiltz wants everyone to be successful. He recommends one transfer but if you want two then he will be ok with that. I've not asked for more than 2
I love coming to this office [CNY Fertility Center]. All of the office staff are very friendly. They are rooting for you! They want you to be successful! Not only do they treat you like a person here and make you feel heard but their options are affordable and they set you up with a payment plan to make things more manageable. I will be done paying for cycles within 18 months.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
You need to be in charge of your own fertility journey. Like other clinics, don't wait around for them to call you to make sure that you're doing ok or to ask if you need anything. They are very busy. If you have a question or if you need help then reach out to them. If you don't understand something then keep asking questions until you do.

Describe the protocols Robert Kiltz used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
Because of my endometriosis, I'm now on a long protocol using donor eggs. My first cycle of donor eggs was negative, then I was put on the long protocol and I had a slight positive but it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy so I'm on another long protocol and this will be my last cycle.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
All of the ladies here are excellent. They treat you like you're the only person alive when you're with them even though they are super busy. I appreciate each and every one of them.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
I think that at first, I didn't know what to expect, I didn't know about ways to save money so I think that initially I may have spent too much money but there are so many places where you can get your medications from and save which include out of the country. I also would say to make sure you get your meds early and get an extra one of each just in case. Don't try to save money because you will run out and thanks to FedEx, you won't get your meds on time. So even if you don't use all of your meds, just be prepared and have extra.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center.
Very affordable, easy payment plans are available. Discounted when paid in full.
Describe Robert Kiltz's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.

Dr. Kiltz is committed to making fertility care more accessible and lowering the cost, which I appreciated a lot...I never actually met Dr. Robert Kiltz through my treatment, so I'm not sure. In that way I did feel a bit like another person shuffling through a baby factory. But I am looking to have a baby as quickly and cheaply as possible and appreciate his commitment to lowering the costs of fertility care.
The [CNY Fertility Center] clinic is a bit of a baby factory, as stated earlier, and I did feel like another person shuffling through it. I didn't mind because of the commitment to lower costs. I did like that there was a lot of information online and that they have a lot of recommendations readily accessible there as well...The nursing staff were very caring and willing to answer any questions.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
To have another more reliable way to get in contact with his staff than by calling and waiting on hold. I very rarely got answers to my messages on his electronic medical portal and wasn't able to update information there once it was entered (like address, etc.).
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
I never actually met Dr. Kiltz, and the wait times on hold are very long. But we went to this clinic because of the commitment to lower costs and I was ok with this. His staff was very nice.
Describe the protocols Robert Kiltz used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
We did an egg retrieval and did regular monitoring via transvaginal ultrasounds at our local facility and injectable medications.

How competent was CNY Fertility Center at LGBTQ care?
They often misgendered my non-binary partner and we couldn't update the EMR system with their name after it was changed.
What specific things went wrong at CNY Fertility Center?
  • Failed to call with results
  • Lost results
  • Provided conflicting information
Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
Just while we were doing monitoring in our home state they sometimes forgot to call us with results or let us know next steps and we had to be proactive in reaching out.

I didn’t have tons of interaction w him [Dr. Michael Grossman] other than the FET, but he was a kind, efficient doctor and professional. I had a different protocol this time around, which felt encouraging to me to try something different as we hadn’t had much success at this point...Just be willing to ask questions and go after the information that you need. CNY is a busy place, so you need to make sure you’re clear on everything.
The staff at CNY are very friendly. You do have to ask for help if you want it - they don’t hand hold unless you request it...Super affordable compared to other places, and great financing options. Their pricing is the only reason I am able to move forward. ...Just be willing to ask questions and go after the information that you need. CNY is a busy place, so you need to make sure you’re clear on everything...Also pay attention to the protocols so nothing gets missed. I had drugs ordered that I wasn’t given instructions for, which was an oversight.

I am on an immune system protocol for previous miscarriage and some Other supportive measures, which included steroids, intralipids, and HCG boosters. I don’t recommend the boosters as it makes results confusing. I’d prefer to try the HCG wash instead.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
There were a few things that got dropped - I wasn’t notified that the HCG wash and intralipids needed to be done the day prior to transfer. Other than that, they were responsive and helpful.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
This is a high volume center, so be sure you ask lots of questions and advocate for yourself so you get what you need. Also pay attention to the protocols so nothing gets missed. I had drugs ordered that I wasn’t given instructions for, which was an oversight.

We didn’t do genetic testing, so my preference moving forward is 2 embryos for an FET.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
Nothing major, but I had meds ordered that were supposed to be administered the day before. The problem is I flew in for treatment and it was impossible to change things around last minute to do so. However, we found a workaround, so it worked out in the end.

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
He [Dr. Kiltz] is open to self avocation of the patient and practices what he preaches. You can also tell that he really loves what he does and helping his patients to make families is his passion...Dr. Kiltz counseled us on diet which I believe was the game changer for us. He definitely preached the BEBBI diet (Carnivore diet) and I am now a full believer in it....
I absolutely love [CNY Fertility Center] and every staff member there. I have been treated at three of CNY's locations (Atlanta, Colorado and Syracuse)...The nursing staff has been wonderful. I really appreciate their 24 hr nursing line and always getting back to me. The only downside is that everyone has their own way of handling protocols and I sometimes get confused when I get different instructions from different nurses.
How was your experience with Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
I had a consult with Dr. Kiltz after my third failed IVF transfer at the CNY Colorado location. I reached out to him desperate and seeking further help. Dr. Kiltz was very kind and compassionate and showed us that he cared about our situation. Dr. Kiltz counseled us on diet which I believe was the game changer for us. He definitely preached the BEBBI diet (Carnivore diet) and I am now a full believer in it. I followed all of his suggestions and recommendations and within the first 60 days my eczema completely healed, bloating and menstural cramps went away, depression disappeared and my labs came back in the appropriate ranges for the first time in 5 years (Vitamin D, Vitamin B and Neutrophilis) they all ran below normal rages before this. Dr. Kiltz in my opinion, is the perfect example of what a practicing physician should be. He is kind, compassionate, understanding, humble, open to self avocation, and is always open to learning and educating himself. It is easy to see that he absolutely loves what he does.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
Follow his recommendations.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
Dr. Kiltz really cares about his patients more than any doctor I have ever treated with. He is the perfect example in my opinion of how a practicing doctor should be. He is open to self avocation of the patient and practices what he preaches. You can also tell that he really loves what he does and helping his patients to make families is his passion. I have treated at three CNY facilities in the past two years and have been treated very well by Dr. Magarelli, Dr. Fink and NP Jana Cashen as well. I recommend CNY to anyone seeking Reproductive Assistance.
Describe the protocols Robert Kiltz used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
We did a Lupron flare protocol this cycle. Which was milder than the other cycles and known to produce fewer follicles but higher quality eggs. I am currently in the middle of this treatment cycle. My previous cycles with CNY Colorado were much more aggressive and only yielded 6 eggs each time due to my Low AMH. each time yielded 4 beautiful embryos of the 6 eggs.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
The nursing staff has been wonderful. I really appreciate their 24 hr nursing line and always getting back to me. The only downside is that everyone has their own way of handling protocols and I sometimes get confused when I get different instructions from different nurses. Either way I have been taken care of pretty well overall and appreciate the CNY nursing staff.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
I absolutely love CNY and every staff member there. I have been treated at three of CNY's locations (Atlanta, Colorado and Syracuse). My husband and I are blessed to be in their care they treat us like human beings and are absolutely caring and compassionate. The best thing we ever did was switch from our local clinic in FL and travel to CNY for treatment. If you are looking for affordable and compassionate treatment then CNY is the place I recommend.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center.
CNY is 1/3 of the cost in the nation! The chance of growing our family would not have been possible for us if CNY did not exist.
Describe Robert Kiltz's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
A single embryo transfer is recommended because it gives the embryo the best chance of survival. They do however allow two embryo transfer in certain circumstances.

He [Dr. Grossman] was very open to listening to us...Learning everything possible about our unique needs and was open to the things we brought to him. He was willing to look at treatments that we brought to him that might improve our chances and even willing to modify our treatments based on the information when he found merits to the info...He was straight forward with us and didn't try to sugarcoat things....
they [nurses at CNY Fertility Center] go out of their way when you tell them what you need/want...they are respectful of your knowledge about your situation and are open to exploring new or different treatments that you might bring. they have a great online presence and lots of information available to everyone not just their patients including the doctors doing live talks online with anyone interested to ask questions or discuss certain topics...
How was your experience with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
He was very open to listening to us. He was respectful of the fact that this was extremely important for us and that we put in a lot of time Learning everything possible about our unique needs and was open to the things we brought to him. He was willing to look at treatments that we brought to him that might improve our chances and even willing to modify our treatments based on the information when he found merits to the info. This was huge many doctors would never listen to a patient in this was and respect their Medical knowledge almost as an equal. He was straight forward with us and didn't try to sugarcoat things when we told him we preferred not to have that kind of communication. He had no issues with the fact we are LGBTQ and he also didn't make assumptions about what we were Looking for in our treatment or who would be the carrier etc. overall it was a good experience and he is great at giving you what you ask for so long as you can express your needs he was happy to meet them.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
the one piece of advice is to be a self advocate and tell them what you want and need if you do that you'll have a good experience.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
cny is great for people who can express their needs and/or do their own Research and know what they want. At every turn CNY and the doctor went above and beyond when I told them what I needed. they never charged me extra money for any of the extra time and things that we asked for (and there were a lot of things like getting KNOWN Donor sperm from a Sperm bank that required extra paperwork and time for them, setting up our cycle to share our eggs with another couple to cover our own costs and they handled everything that would have cost the other couple way more then the $9,000 split cycle/donor cycle cost at another place like legal paperwork, answering a million questions, giving us updates on the Development of Embryos, giving us pictures of embryos...) The doctor was knowledgeable but was happy to listen to you and respect your decision. the doctors also were very understanding that this was extremely important for us and that lots of us spend large amounts of time doing extensive research on our diagnosis or treatment and they are always willing to listen to what you have found and are open to trying new treatment options that you bring to them after they look at it themselves. this for us was amazing we have talked to fertility doctors all over and most are not usually truly respectful of the knowledge that a patient brings to the table and often they are not willing to even look into anything that someone brings them that they aren't familiar with so having a doctor who was not only respectful of it but sincerely interested and willing to look into and even try new things was great.
Describe the protocols Michael Grossman used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
we had a initial retrieval with a different doctor and dr. Grossman learned from that retrieval and slightly increased our gonna-F does and extended our stimms by a few Days to get more mature eggs even if that means that we might have stimulated past our lead follicle. he explained very clearly the benefit vs risk of potentially stimulating past the lead follicle and gave us the choice allowed us to feel in more control. it seems to have been more effective as if we would have done retrieval at the standard time about 1/3 of our follicles still would have been under 10mm
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
Again they go out of their way when you tell them what you need/want. Wonderful people all around was our experience. of course you have to have reasonable expectations like if you're not in a emergency situation you should expect that it might take a day to get back to you but they always get back to you and they actually find the answers for whatever you need even if they don't know they find out.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
its a large group that takes on a lot of people many of them people that other clinics refuse to give treatment because they don't want their success rates lowered when it takes them a bit longer to get pregnant so this means that you have to self Advocate and tell them what you need. lots of people go to them with knowledge and experience in Fertility treatments and they don't need or want a lot of hovering and handholding but they are happy to do what you need when they know what that is. they are affordable and have support available to you if you ask. they are respectful of your knowledge about your situation and are open to exploring new or different treatments that you might bring. they have a great online presence and lots of information available to everyone not just their patients including the doctors doing live talks online with anyone interested to ask questions or discuss certain topics. overall its amazing for what it is
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center.
our ivf Medical treatment was $5,000 and monitoring was $900 we paid about $300 for HCG was and acupuncture it was extremely affordable and they helped us apply for discount medication too so our meds ended up far cheaper then they would have been
Describe Michael Grossman's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
Again they give you very clear understanding of the facts for both options and they will tell you that its preferred by most Medical bodies to do single Embryo transfers but they seem to be better then many about allowing the Patient to Direct their care in a reasonable way. i don't think for one second if we went in and said we want triplets because we think its cool and we want you to put in 3 high grade blastocyst Embryos at 34yrs old that he would have done that. However going to them with a rational discussion like we have failed previously, we don't have pgt testing and or grading isn't wonderful he is willing to work with you

Coming from NYC from earlier in the process, it was a welcome change to be working with CNY. All of the nurses were warm and friendly, they all took the time to answer my questions thoroughly, they all read through my chart before appointments and remembered my name and circumstances. I felt like this was a highly personalized experience. During the actual transfer, Dr. Klitz was warm and personable, and he had a gentle and encouraging way about him where I felt totally taken care of and respected. There were a few gestures he made that felt truly humane.
Describe your experience with your nurse at CNY Fertility Center. (Assigned nurse: Catherine Falcon)
All of the nursing staff were top-notch. They all were aware of my chart and details, were compassionate and accessible, and they personalized the experience. I did not feel like a number whatsoever, but someone they were invested in. During my times of anxiety or not knowing if things were going well, they were honest yet reassuring and available to hear me out and answer any concerns or questions I had.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
I did all of my monitoring appointments at the Rochester location, which is a lovely and calming space that in pre-COVID times looks like it could have been a spa. Because of COVID there weren't any massage, acupuncture, yoga, or other in-person offerings. I felt comfortable and calmed by the environment. I felt they had good COVID precautions in place. The only weakness of this entire experience is that is it hard to communicate/get a hold of someone on the phone. Again, I don't know how much is COVID-related, but it would have been nice to have a phone number to call and connect with someone without always having to either use the messaging feature on the patient portal and wait a bit for a (non-urgent) response, or leaving a message on billing or another extension and then have to be available when they call back in order to avoid drawn-out phone tag. They WERE accessible if there was an urgent concern through a dedicated on-call nurse's line, so that felt good.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center.
I had already frozen my eggs, so for the thaw, embryo creation with donor sperm and transfer was about $3800, receiving the eggs from the other fertility clinic was $150, and my monitoring appointments (some of which were covered by insurance) were in total about $800.

Dr. Kiltz and his team made us feel at ease, that we could indeed afford treatment, and that he could help us. He made our visit feel like it was the only one he had that day...is a warm and caring individual who loves his work and his patients. He didn't push anything we couldn't afford and he still gave us options. He understood our trials and had compassion for us and our situation. He also has chats online and explains thing to all of us. He spends time online even after his work day is done, it's never done for him. I like that he features both eastern and western medicine as ways to promote fertility.
She [the nurse at CNY Fertility Center] sat down with us for quite a while and asked what we expected and if we had questions. She answered all of them in a knowledgeable and down to earth way. She showed compassion for our previous losses. She told us we would start looking into testing right away and it was a relief. She is a wonderful person with a caring heart and she knows her stuff. She also offered a keto diet and yoga as ways to improve fertility as well. I voiced my opinion on a medicine I didn't want to take and she gave me an OTC alternative.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
Open your heart to possibilities because that is what Dr. Kiltz offers. Don't bother going anywhere else.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
I had made the mistake of seeing a different fertility clinic first and it was a terrible and defeating experience. Dr. Kiltz and his team made us feel at ease, that we could indeed afford treatment, and that he could help us. He made our visit feel like it was the only one he had that day.
Describe the protocols Robert Kiltz used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
He started out with tests, blood, ultrasound, semen analysis, and a procedure to make sure there was no cause for concern before any fertility procedures were mentioned. Once we got the clear we discussed IUI. He knew our insurance didn't cover any fertility treatment so he gave u workable options.

Beautiful clinic, very clean and well laid out. Strengths-This clinic is a well oiled machine. They have a portal where I can access all my tests and records. I can also email the nursing staff and get a same day response. They are knowledgeable in fertility and also both eastern and western medicine. They promote yoga and specialized diet. Weaknesses: None.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center.
All costs were covered for preliminary testing except for deductibles. All other costs can be financed if needed.

He [Dr. Corley] always made me feel heard and understood. He is good at looking into all areas (labs, results of egg retrievals and protocols used) to find what may or may not work in the future. He took his time to explain things to me and listen to my experiences and thoughts. ... When I had a follow up with him he looked at all of my previous information in depth and took 60 minutes to talk to me and come up with our an to move forward.
It is easy to get in touch with who you need to via their [CNY] patient portal and get answers fast. If you enjoy in person contact, being a travel patient might not be for you. Some patients have flown/driven to New York to stay for the whole cycle to be monitored there, but I chose to fly in only for procedures and did remote monitoring in my home state. I have liked all the doctors, but they all have very different personalities. Once I found the one I clicked with it made it easier.
How was your experience with David Corley at CNY Fertility Center?
He always made me feel heard and understood. He is good at looking into all areas (labs, results of egg retrievals and protocols used) to find what may or may not work in the future. He took his time to explain things to me and listen to my experiences and thoughts.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of David Corley at CNY Fertility Center?
Make sure he has access to all of your previous tests/results so he can give you good feedback. He has been doing this for awhile and has a lot of information to share but needs to know where you are coming from.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with David Corley at CNY Fertility Center?
He is a very sweet man and prayed for me after each FET. When I had a follow up with him he looked at all of my previous information in depth and took 60 minutes to talk to me and come up with our an to move forward.
Describe the protocols David Corley used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
While Dr Corley has performed my egg retrieval and 2 transfers I have just recently had a follow up with him regarding a 4th FET. The clinic has many doctors and I had yet to find the Dr that fit with me until I had Dr Corley for my 2nd FET. He listened to me and looked into my chart to help me come up with a plan for my next FET and potentially next egg retrieval. He actually did not change my protocol from my last FET other than to add an HCG wash before and HCG boosters after. I will be using Estrogen to prime for FET along with the immune protocol that includes Lovenox, baby aspirin, Tacrolimus, prednisone, zpak, doxycycline and PIO along with progesterone suppositories. I am getting the immune protocol due to having endometriosis. The previous cycle I had good results as far as lining and levels and he doesn't believe a big change would change the outcomes.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
The clinic has a team of nurses devoted to patients who travel to NY for their treatment (which I do). It is easy to email them and get a response in an hour or two. You have to give them very specific questions otherwise you will not get specific answers. When I have talked to them on the phone regarding results or setting up retrieval or transfer times they have always been very nice and caring.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
This clinic has a lot of travel patients due to their low cost procedures. This being said I felt less like a number than I did at my local clinic. It is easy to get in touch with who you need to via their patient portal and get answers fast.
Describe the costs associated with your care under David Corley at CNY Fertility Center.
CNY Fertility's cost at the time of me starting there were $3900 for an egg retrieval and fresh transfer and $450 for an FET. I did monitoring in my home state and paid $150 to CNY for remote monitoring for each cycle(also the cost to monitor wherever I was at). I have insurance that covered a portion , so the cost structure is different (they senda higher amount to insurance, which is typical). The cost also did not include medications.

He [Dr. Robert Kiltz] is so knowledgeable & up to date with procedures & medications. Love how he integrates eastern & western medicine! He truly treats the whole person all while doing this & offering affordable fertility which people deserve!...Recommend transferring one embryo...We haven’t personally gotten to see Dr. Kiltz yet, but hopefully soon for retrieval. We are working with his clinic in Syracuse & so far, staff has been great! I’ve read Dr. kiltz’s Keto articles, watched his TED Talk, & watch his Fireside chats every night. He answers questions there & is always available
Our communication with them [CNY Fertility Center] so far has been over the phone & through the patient portal. Despite this, I have felt 100% treated as a human & not just a number, even by such a large clinic handling a lot of patients. CNY has been quick to respond, attentive, & keeps track of my results & answers my questions timely. I did my initial phone consult with Katie Falcon & she was awesome! So educated & took time to listen to my questions & answer them to the best of her ability. CNY even called after I submitted blood results into my portal & wrote my a prescription because I currently am not working with another RE close to home.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
Have questions & plans of actions ready to go. They can be quick with you, but they are running a large clinic with a lot of patients trying to offer affordable fertility treatment to as many patients as they can, which is a great thing! If you’re thinking of trying a new protocol or med, just ask! They seem very open & Dr. Kiltz actually promotes that openness in his nightly virtual chats!

egg retrieval & IVF. Can start as soon as we are ready to get medications, secure monitoring with a local doc, & make plans to travel to NY!
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
Very good at communicating & knowledgeable! I have noticed you talk to a lot of different people / nurses though. That’s fine with me though, I understand it’s a large clinic seeing a lot of patients.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
I wish they were closer or had a location in Michigan!!! I know they’re growing & offering a lot of state of the art treatment & procedures which I think is great! I am so excited to travel to the Syracuse Clinic, from reviews I’ve read & pictures I’ve seen online, it looks very nice. Like a spa.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center.
$3,900 for IVF plus add-one we are still looking into (ex embryo glue & PRP - these will add a couple extra hundred dollars). Plus, mediation that was quoted around $2,500 & travel. This is still significantly cheaper than the $20,860 we were quoted by a local RE for IVF!
Describe Robert Kiltz's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
Recommend transferring one embryo , although when it’s time, I’m going to ask about transferring two as well as PRP & embryo glue.

He [Dr. Corley] is very knowledgeable and I liked that he has been changing my protocol as we make progress finding out more about our issues every transfer. He has been aggressive when needed, which I like. He has very nice manners, explains everything well, gives you time, explains the risks and likelihood of something going wrong. He’s always prayed with us after a transfer which is so nice of him to do
[CNY Fertility Center cost] $3900 for ER, ICSI, assisted hatching, fresh transfer and embryo storage. $150 monitoring fee $450 in add ons- PRP and HCG wash, intralipids, embryo glue $450 FET within 1 year of ER plus another monitoring fee and add ons...Had 4 5day blasts and 1 6 day blast...[clinic error] I can’t blame them specifically since I’m a travel patient and my lab is not the best to fax results. After a positive beta I didn’t get a call to learn my results. I called next day and they had to call the lab and called me right back after getting my results.

He is a sweetheart and makes you feel very confortable before any procedure.
Describe the protocols David Corley used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
For our ER we used and antagonist protocol with menopur and gonal F. After 5 days I started cetrotide. I trigger with double Lupron. ER gave us 10 good quality eggs out of which 9 fertilized with ICSI. Had 4 5day blasts and 1 6 day blast. Did a fresh with 2 day 5s and resulted in ectopic but because I caught a UTI that messed it all up. For transfer I did an immune protocol with intralipids, lovenox, prednisone, LDN, neupogen, estrogen and progesterone both in oil and vaginal tablets.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
They are very nice and always helpful. Pretty easy to communicate with.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
Best clinic I’ve been to! They make you feel welcome and at peace from the first second you come in. It feels more like a spa than a clinic. Everyone is very attentive and they go their way out to make you feel comfortable at all times. Prices are unbeatable which is a plus!

He was not my first doctor and I had two failed FETs prior with 2 embryos so he decided to transfer 2, the first two times and after a second ER with him he went for 3, 3day fresh which resulted in pregnancy of a singleton but I had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks.

Dr. Verdiales goes over your information before walking into the room. She smiles and greets you before asking what you want to do or achieve. She took the time to get my name right and understood that I wanted to start with the less invasive procedures before going full steam IVF. She offered vitamins to help along with hugs. During each cycle she would offer words of encouragement, prayers, and positive vibes. I love her vibes and even when I come in to see other members of her staff she always says hi to me and gives me hugs as if we're friends.
I like that they [the nurses at CNY Fertility] speak English and Spanish. The ultrasound techs are great and describe everything so you don't worry. The nurses are always friendly and explain why they are doing what they are doing and what to expect. If there's a negative it would be sometimes they're not all on the same page...I paid for labs and Fertility exams which is discounted for paying people. Each cycle I did was allowed a payment plan with a down payment. Vitamins are there and can be purchased. They will provide a med list, not included with cycles since each person is different, to Integrity Pharmacy. You can get you meds discounted or from other pharmacies if you decide. There are also add ons depending on what you are comfortable with and they will go over prices as well.
How was your experience with Maribelle Verdiales at CNY Fertility Center?
Dr. V enjoys what she does. I can reach out to her any time and she gets back to me right away. She actually did my annual checkup in addition to my fertility workup so I wasn't all over the place. I love how she explains what she's doing while doing it. She was very patient with me and let me decide what/how I wanted to get started. Some people go straight to IVF but I wanted to see if something as simple as iui would work for us and she agreed. She listens to all my concerns and frustrations without being judgey. I love her heart and dedication. Even when things failed she gave me hugs and discussed what we could change or do to improve.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Maribelle Verdiales at CNY Fertility Center?
I would say be prepared for her positivity. Some people don't like that. Also, she does alternative medicine, like vitamins and massage, to help increase chances. Some people are more interested in the end result but she wants to heal the body as a whole to make getting pregnant easier.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Maribelle Verdiales at CNY Fertility Center?

Describe the protocols Maribelle Verdiales used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
My first cycle we did low dose Letrezole with iui. I took vitamins she suggested, which gave me extra energy. That cycle was bad because I used opk to test and ended up triggering early but she held out hope. My second one I ovulated too early so she still did progesterone just in case. We called it timed intercourse. My second real cycle we did Letrezole with an injectable but added cetrotide to stall ovulation. She then added prp to get me more follicles since my body was going slow. Once she saw enough great follicles I triggered. The prp is still new but it revitalizes the flushed area. She was concerned about my husbands count but prayed with us that it would all work out. I did progesterone inserts to help with hopeful pregnancy but it was negative. We spoke again about what to change for the future and decided IVF is our best bet. She still gave my husband clomid to see if we could get his counts up but if not she said we wouldn't need much to get IVF to work. It's nice that she's still helping us but also letting us try to fix it as well.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
Some are still new. I like that they speak English and Spanish. The ultrasound techs are great and describe everything so you don't worry. The nurses are always friendly and explain why they are doing what they are doing and what to expect. If there's a negative it would be sometimes they're not all on the same page so it's good when they confirm with Dr. V before leaving.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
So, I love the vibe. It's clean, they play relaxing music, there's a mini store to get you vitamins from, and you don't get lost finding it. It's a decent size since it's still new. They do so much there. If your stressing you can get a massage and/or counseling. Now the down side, they are still new. They are a part of CNY in New York so you're getting great care but this location currently doesn't do IVF. They are getting everything ready, building, hiring more staff, getting trained, to start IVF maybe next year. This is a plus and negative. I would love to get everything done here but that means waiting and tons more changes. However, that means they're doing a great job. If you can't wait CNY Monroe will get all testing, labs, and scans done until you're ready to retrieve and transfer in New York. They will then monitor you again until release to OB or next cycle. Once they become fully functional I know it will take some adjustments but just having Dr. V be there from start to finish would be amazing.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Maribelle Verdiales at CNY Fertility Center.
There's actually different ways of payment. My insurance covered only my female exam. I paid for labs and Fertility exams which is discounted for paying people. Each cycle I did was allowed a payment plan with a down payment. Vitamins are there and can be purchased. Describe Maribelle Verdiales's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
She wants what's best for the patient which can be hard sometimes. She prefers to do one but will ask if it's ok

Dr. Ditkoff was extremely thorough. He went over all of my past history and treatments, as well as tests. He even ordered them to be done again just to make sure nothing was left out. He went over which treatment plan would be best for us and when the best time would be to start. I truly appreciate him being thorough and explaining all of my results. The doctor I had seen prior never did this and told me I needed surgery and that his nurse should have told me over the phone 4 months prior! Dr. Ditkoff had these tests done again and went over what the issue was and why I need surgery in order to have successful IVF treatments there after.
The only thing they [CNY Fertility Center] could improve upon is hold time when you call. Sometimes I get through immediately, sometimes I'm on hold for over 10 minutes. Other than that, they are fantastic. ... We have to pay out of pocket and they are very understanding of this, they also work out in house payment plans. They are the only reason we can afford to have any IVF treatments at all. They are literally our only hope in conceiving a baby.

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Edward Ditkoff at CNY Fertility Center?
He treated me like a human. He was very gentle with a warm soft bedside manner. He was very straight foward and answered all of my questions. He was extremely thorough and never left me in the dark as far as tests treatment goes.

The costs are the absolute best and lowest price for the highest quality of care. We have to pay out of pocket and they are very understanding of this, they also work out in house payment plans. They are the only reason we can afford to have any IVF treatments at all. They are literally our only hope in conceiving a baby. The costs total $5,000 for one egg collection and transfer. Each transfer after that is only $450. The pharmacy they refer to is extremely low cost was well only charging us $4,500. To understand this better, our area in NJ wanted $34,000 for the same treatment and medication.
Describe Edward Ditkoff's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
We are able to try both. But he strongly suggested eSET due to my medical conditions. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and could possibly face premature birth.

Dr. Corley was very warm, friendly and easy to speak to! I felt like he loves what he does and genuinely wants to help me achieve a healthy pregnancy even with just one phone consultation. So far, it's been a great and exciting experience! ... We went over a few of my lab results and discussed how the process works and what my next steps would look like. I'm so excited to meet Dr. Corley in person and to finally have a baby of our own!! Baby dust to all :)
PRICE, PRICE, PRICE!! CNY has the best IVF pricing in the USA!! They also have a great FB group and amazing live convos with Dr. Kiltz himself on a nightly basis. It's a huge strength and keeps me so interested & excited to start my cycle with them!! No weaknesses as of right now! So far so good! Things are moving pretty quickly. ... I have not completed my IVF cycle just yet. I hope to complete this by July/August and it should run about $10k total including medication and about $2k for travel expenses.

Choose Dr. Corley! :)
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with David Corley at CNY Fertility Center?
Speaking to Dr. Corley at CNY Fertility made me feel like a regular human being due to the fact that as soon as he got on our consultation phone call, he simply asked me to tell him about myself. It was the first time a doctor seemed genuinely interested in my story and what brought me to CNY. We went over a few of my lab results and discussed how the process works and what my next steps would look like. I'm so excited to meet Dr. Corley in person and to finally have a baby of our own!! Baby dust to all :)
Describe the protocols David Corley used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
Continue to take the vitamins that I'm currently taking along with my husband. He then stated he will have the nurse e-mail me a list of the standard IVF medications for a regular cycle.
Describe your experience with your nurse at CNY Fertility Center. (Assigned nurse: Elizabeth)
I have spoke to Elizabeth, RN with the Global Team at CNY. We spoke for about 30 minutes and she was able to answer all of my questions and concerns regarding being a travel patient from California to NY. She put me at ease with taking the time and not showing any frustration with holding my hand through the process as they would say.

Kiltz is always knowledgeable and gets us information that we need. He helps trying to figure out issues that have come along. He also connects to via social media and always responds to as many questions as possible. Has answered several of ours. He also has given us his personal cell phone and he has always responded.... On our case Kiltz has done 2 egg transfer and a single egg transfer. Both our decision, Kiltz didn't see anything that would not allow multiple egg transfer.
Long wait times at the clinic [CNY], but they have people from around the world coming to CNY. You have to be understanding. Strengths they are always their, always apologetic when there is long wait times or issues with pregnancy. Very sympathetic very compassionate. Always understanding, very knowledgeable. The price is lower then most by thousands, that's including travel and hotel. Always avaliable.... We live out of state. So Kiltz and his office would schedule the test needed with my health care provider.

I've cycle and meds. He puts you on hydroclorique and a z-pack to help make the uterus better suited to host an embryo. He also adjusts meds based off of your blood work and ultra sounds. He does push keto to help bring down inflammation in the body.

Dr. Kiltz spent over an hour on the phone with my husband and I discussing our health, history, and steps moving forward. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and professionally. We could tell he was passionate about his work and we are beyond hopeful to finally do this and hopefully will be carrying our first baby within the near future. I can text or call him and he responds right away. I haven’t emailed him yet, but there is that route available if necessary...took mine and my husband’s health, and pre-existing conditions into consideration for our first IVF treatment. He recommended I go on a keto diet because a lot of what I was experiencing was due to inflammation. My husband and I have lost weight since taking Dr. Kiltz’s advice. I’m not a medical professional so I can’t speak to the medications that were ordered for me. I’m new to this whole process so I don’t have a lot to share.
Whenever I email the nurses [at CNY Fertility Center], they always answer me promptly. When I call, they’re always very helpful and put me at ease. The only negative thing is that when messaging them through the online portal, you can’t reply to their messages...Their nursing and financial team are great. Dr. Kiltz is great. Unfortunately I haven’t dealt with anyone else. They make IVF affordable for all who are trying to achieve their dreams of having children. I didn’t receive the greatest care at other fertility places but at CNY, they treat you with respect, like family and they have monthly IVF grants to help pay for IVF cycles. I’m excited for this journey and for CNY to help my husband and I become first time parents!
How was your experience with Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
I have not yet begun my IVF process since I am waiting for my first cycle to arrive so I can start. When my husband and I consulted with Dr. Kiltz, he was friendly, engaging, explained things so that we’d understand, and offered his cell phone, email and told us to contact him whenever if we had further questions or concerns. What doctor does that??? I have not met a doctor that offered their private cell phones to patients!
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
You will love him!

He [Dr. Kiltz] was so friendly and outgoing. He made me and my husband very comfortable during our retrieval. He did two of my transfers and always made me laugh during them. He made sure all of our questions were always answered and we never left confused or questioning the next steps...Our retrieval protocol was very basic I believe. We did ten days of stims with ultrasound every few days. We triggered with Ovidrel and did our retrieval and fresh transfer...
The entire clinic [CNY Fertility Center] was amazing. They were there for me every step of the way. I miscarried my first transfer and they always checked on me to see how I was doing. His nurse practitioner called me from home during her own health crisis to make sure my protocol was correct for our next transfers to get the best possible outcome...Any questions I had they were quick to get back to me. If I ever had any problems they would bring me right in to get looked at...

Our retrieval protocol was very basic I believe. We did ten days of stims with ultrasound every few days. We triggered with Ovidrel and did our retrieval and fresh transfer. I miscarried. They changed my protocol to an immune protocol because of the miscarriage. That transfer failed. Then changed it back to a basic one for my third transfer which resulted in my son.
Describe your experience with your nurse at CNY Fertility Center. (Assigned nurse: I believe her name was Donna.)
The nurse was amazing. They all were so nice and caring. Any questions I had they were quick to get back to me. If I ever had any problems they would bring me right in to get looked at.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
The clinic is very clean. It's like going to a spa. It's amazing. They sometimes are very busy and it's a little bit of a wait but they are worth it and I wouldn't go anywhere else. You have to stay on top of the billing if you see them at a location other than Syracuse. I've had to have my insurance correct most bills due to my insurance having a glitch with it having kiltz as both in and out of network and the way claims are sent to them.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center.
The cost was allot lower then I expected. In total we paid around 5k between the ivf and transfers. We didn't have any coverage for IVF but my insurance did cover the monitoring
Describe Robert Kiltz's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
We did two transfers of one embryo. The first I miscarried. The second didn't take. Knowing I had two lower quality embryos left. And it being a three hour drive each transfer. I asked that we transfer our last two together and they were willing to do that because if the two previous transfer results. That third transfer ended up resulting in my son.

[Dr. Maribelle Verdiales] empathized with me because I had to switch Doctors in the middle of fertility treatment due to my insurance not covering IVF due to me not being married...she put me at ease...ensure I know that I am not alone... great listener and takes all of the information, test results, blood work, etc. and develops an individualized fertility plan just for you!...passionate about the work she does...
they [CNY Fertility Center] provide every aspect of assisting with achieving the best fertility outcomes by having a full spectrum of health & wellness treatment options available on top of the medical treatments...costs are exactly what was listed on the CNY Fertility website...it does let you know that the price doesn't include the initial consultation or blood work, so I was fully prepared with how much out of pocket expenses it will be and what can be financed through them.
How was your experience with Maribelle Verdiales at CNY Fertility Center?
She is extremely educated, compassionate towards the patient, passionate about the work she does, and truly desires to assist individuals in bringing their dreams into existence through the help of science, natural vitamins/supplements, yoga, meditation, and assists you in exploring other ways you would like to help your body prepare to create life!
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Maribelle Verdiales at CNY Fertility Center?
Absolutely choose her to be your fertility Doctor/Specialist because with her, you are not just a number but more like a family member she cares about. She is a great listener and takes all of the information, test results, blood work, etc. and develops an individualized fertility plan just for you! She is so genuine and sincere in helping you create life with a little assistance. :-)
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Maribelle Verdiales at CNY Fertility Center?
She empathized with me because I had to switch Doctors in the middle of fertility treatment due to my insurance not covering IVF due to me not being married, so I had to start the process over again. However, she put me at ease by letting me know that she is going to help me get through this process and ensure I know that I am not alone.
Describe the protocols Maribelle Verdiales used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
So, since I switched to Dr. Verdiales after 3 failed IUI's at Emory (because my insurance wouldn't cover IVF since I am not married), I had a consult with Dr. Verdiales, she requested all my labs, blood work, and tests from Emory, ran another baseline blood panel, and then decided what I should do first. Since I'm turning 40 next week, she decided to start me on insitol, pre-natals, a twice daily female endocrine natural supplement pack, Q10, Vitamin D, and a thyroid medication because my levels were not ideal for pregnancy and all the other items are to assist with egg quality since I'm old. Then came the list of IVF medications that I will start in a couple weeks for my 1st round of IVF. I would love to tell you the outcome of my IVF treatment plan if I get the opportunity!
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
Always extremely friendly, sweet, and kind.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
The fact that they provide every aspect of assisting with achieving the best fertility outcomes by having a full spectrum of health & wellness treatment options available on top of the medical treatments is extremely beneficial.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Maribelle Verdiales at CNY Fertility Center.
The costs are exactly what was listed on the CNY Fertility website and I do want to note that it does let you know that the price doesn't include the initial consultation or blood work, so I was fully prepared with how much out of pocket expenses it will be and what can be financed through them.
Describe Maribelle Verdiales's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
My doctor said that it depended on how many embryo's make it to the blastocyte phase and their quality before they determine/make suggestions.

Dr. Grossman is very knowledgeable and polite but very quick. He is in and out and that's it. He does an okay job at explaining things but not to mh expectations.... I will say I felt more like a patient than a paycheck compared to another doctor we've seen. I felt like Dr.Grossman cared about my outcome and that means alot.... Though you are the patient, you will have to be your own advocate, your own nurse and researcher.
The nursing staff [CNY Fertility Ctr] on the phone can be a mess.you feel as thought you NEVER talk to the same person. HOWEVER once you are there in the office the staff are AMAZING.. PHENOMENAL actually. Kristen has been through this herself and never lets you feel like you're alone. She held my hand the entire time I was there on multiple occasions.... I loved the clinic, once I arrived. This clinic has a TON of travel patients so they are most definitely BUSY.
How was your experience with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
As a patient I wanted more straight forward answers, less 'what do you think' type of responses. I do not know for certain if my cycle would have been different at a different clinic or not but some things have still been unanswered. I will say I felt more like a patient than a paycheck compared to another doctor we've seen. I felt like Dr.Grossman cared about my outcome and that means alot.

My stim cycle was pretty typical. Gonal F 150 Menopur 75 Cetrotide FET 1: Prednisone 10mg, Endometrin, Prenatal, Estrace, Progesterone in oil, Intralipids, hcg wash, Prograf FET2: Prednisone 20mg, Estrace 2x, Endometrin 2x, Prenatal, Progesterone in oil, Lovenox, Neupogen, Intralipids, Plaquenil, Prograf.

Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
I loved the clinic, once I arrived. This clinic has a TON of travel patients so they are most definitely BUSY. I will say this being my first round of IVF I really didn't know what to expect and because I've only gone to this clinic for the full process I can not compare to how ivf is done elsewhere. But with my experience with this clinic, I had to be in charge of my own medicine more than I wanted to. When starting a cycle I never spoke with the same nurse on the phone, some times one nurse would tell me something and then another would upload something different into my portal. If I weren't paying attention and seen their mistake would that have ruined my cycle? I don't know, but I didn't like having this happen more than once. When you arrive at the clinic you are the queen and I mean that. They are SO over the top nice to you. They make you feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. They take REALLY good care of you and I LOVED it. The communication is wonderful once inside the clinic and I wouldn't change a single thing about my experience with the nursing staff upon arrival. They have a healing art spa and although I opted out of using it, it is BEAUTIFUL! I think every patient looking at this clinic needs to know they are BUSY and I mean BUSY. They will not remember your name until your second or third time visiting them in office because they see so many people. Things may be different if you monitor there but I stayed local to monitor so I was asked multiple times about myself (job, kids, where I'm from) and although it seems like no big deal when you're paying thousands of dollars for the treatments you kind of expect your doctor to remember your face. Aside from those few issues, this clinic is clean, well put together and has an amazing staff. They are affordable and because of that, they are a little too busy and understaffed for the number of people requesting their help.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at CNY Fertility Center.
I did not monitor at this clinic. It is in a different state and I found it easier being a traveling patient to stay local for all ultrasounds and blood work.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center.
My Egg Retrieval, ICSI, and Fesh transfer were $4,050. Medicine obviously varies but somewhere close to $3,500 Monitoring (all ultrasounds, blood work including my two FET cycles as well) $3,200 FET are $250 for the first year, I've had two FET $500 Then you have the costs of traveling if you decide to travel to this clinic. We drove the first time which still costs us around $800, the first flight and stay were $1,500 and the third (we stayed a bit longer this time around) $1,900. So far without a healthy pregnancy, 2 negative pregnancy tests and 1 miscarriage we have spent roughly $15,500 so far.
What specific things went wrong at CNY Fertility Center?
  • Lost paperwork
  • Failed to call with results
  • Failed to inform you of changes in protocol
  • Lost results
  • Provided conflicting information
Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
The nursing staff is wonderful but I feel they are too busy so mistakes happen. I was given a protocol over the phone and then when uploaded in my portal that afternoon things were missing and some of the dosages was different. I wouldn't have thought much of this but it seems to be a common thing for this clinic. I was asked to take a specific amount of medicine that costs me over six hundred dollars for only twenty days. When I began taking this medicine it was four days in before I realized I was taking the wrong dosage because they uploaded it wrong into my portal. Talk about frustrating, it's too dang expensive for mistakes like that.

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
I felt that Dr. Kiltz listened to me and came up with a plan of care based on my individual needs. After our first cycle was less than we hoped for, he made adjustments to the protocol for the next cycle which we have yet to do. Our phone consult was good, but he talked about the keto diet a little too long.... At the retrieval appointment, Dr. Kiltz was very positive, nice and reassuring when he saw I was nervous. Great bedside manner! My husband liked him a lot, too. He is honest and talked to us like human beings.
The clinical staff [CNY Fertility] is very caring, informed and always available even long distance on the 24hr phone line which was great since I was a travel patient.... I used the portal a few times, but didn’t have good luck with getting wuestions answered that way. Nursing phone line was the way to go. The nurses were very nice in person, too.... It takes a while to get a phone consult with the dr.s because they are one of the least expensive clinics in the country, but once you do, things start moving quickly.
How was your experience with Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
I felt that Dr. Kiltz listened to me and came up with a plan of care based on my individual needs. After our first cycle was less than we hoped for, he made adjustments to the protocol for the next cycle which we have yet to do. Our phone consult was good, but he talked about the keto diet a little too long. I would have preferred talking a bit longer about our medical history and read his documents about diet later (which he emailed right away). At the retrieval appointment, Dr. Kiltz was very positive, nice and reassuring when he saw I was nervous. Great bedside manner! My husband liked him a lot, too. He is honest and talked to us like human beings.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
Make sure to ask any questions you have about the plan and take notes about what he says so you can make sure his info got through to all the nursing staff. They have many patients and it helps to know what the doctor suggests to make sure it aligns with nurses orders. As a travel patient, you’ll really only talk to Dr. Kiltz for consult, retrieval/transfer and follow up phone call. The rest of the time it’s with the clinical staff. Dr. Kiltz does give out his cell #, though and patients do call if needed.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
The clinical staff is very caring, informed and always available even long distance on the 24hr phone line which was great since I was a travel patient. Dr. Kiltz really cares and made me feel like I wasn’t just a number. He thinks about each patient as an individual even though he has MANY patients.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
The nurses are always available to talk with over the phone. I think they have a few staffing the phones, so they were never rushed or didn’t answer. They were prompt about getting orders out to me or calling back with answers. They were also really caring and helped me understand the process better and made me feel at ease. I used the portal a few times, but didn’t have good luck with getting wuestions answered that way. Nursing phone line was the way to go. The nurses were very nice in person, too.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
It takes a while to get a phone consult with the dr.s because they are one of the least expensive clinics in the country, but once you do, things start moving quickly. They send your meds protocol to integrity pharm and get really good deals with them because of the volume they do. I wish they had some kind of checklist for new patients because I was a bit lost about what to do after the consult. I just had to call and talk with nursing staff several times to get it all figured out. Also, their CNY Facebook support group was extremely helpful! The clinic is pretty well organized for how many patients they seem to have, but I think the patient needs to know what they should be doing, or ask a ton of questions if you’re new to IVF because you don’t get a nurse that walks you through it. Also, documents on the portal were hard for me to find. Some stuff I didn’t even see until way later. If you’re a first timer, use the FB group to ask questions and search postings for answers. That really helped me.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center.
$4200 for retrieval and one FET. Each additional FET during the 12 mos after retrieval are $250. Meds wound up being about $1600 (225 gonal f and 75 menopur 1x day for 10 days). With travel (for retrieval and a second trip for FET), total cost for us will be just under $10k.
Describe Robert Kiltz's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
We haven’t transferred yet, so I’m not sure what he’ll suggest.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
After our first retrieval, Dr. Kiltz changed our protocol, but it wasn’t in my portal records. I had to remind the nurse that the Dr. wanted to decrease dosage for the 2nd retrieval and then she saw the Dr. notes.
