Attention to Detail
Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.
For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.
CDC Success Rates
This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.
For more information please see our FAQs.
Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.
The downside to visiting Dr. Moore, for me, was his dismissal of some health conditions that I have as non-issues, as well as not wanting to pursue the treatment course my husband and I were hoping to (gestational carrier)...took us down a rabbit hole of treatments we weren't interested in pursuing at that time...I wish I'd felt more supported in that or had him explain further why he didn't want to pursue that course.
I liked that it [Conceptions Fertility Center] was a smaller clinic. They seemed more personable but I also think they might have been a little understaffed. Our paperwork/contact got lost once and didn't come through to Dr. Moore when it needed to. They also never contacted us after our consult despite Dr. Moore saying very clearly that they would.
How was your experience with Andrew Moore at Conceptions Fertility Center?
I thought Dr. Moore was very kind and personable. He took the time to explain options and went through my history thoroughly. He was very knowledgable about fertility treatments and options. I think had I never done fertility treatments before, he would have been a great place to start. The downside to visiting Dr. Moore, for me, was his dismissal of some health conditions that I have as non-issues, as well as not wanting to pursue the treatment course my husband and I were hoping to (gestational carrier). I appreciated his education and option discussing, but because my husband and I have dealt with infertility for six years, we felt pretty confident in what we did and didn't want to pursue. I wish I'd felt more supported in that or had him explain further why he didn't want to pursue that course.
Dr. Moore also promised some meetings/visits with a few other doctors and specialists, including at his clinic, and those never occurred. The clinic never reached out to us again after our consultation.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Andrew Moore at Conceptions Fertility Center?
I wish I would have been more assertive in what we wanted to pursue as treatments upfront, at the beginning of the meeting. I would say speak up quickly. He is very kind but took us down a rabbit hole of treatments we weren't interested in pursuing at that time.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Andrew Moore at Conceptions Fertility Center?
Dr. Moore was very kind and understanding. I do feel like he saw me as a person and not just a stat.

Our main challenge we had here was the loss of paperwork and lack of communication after the initial consult. We also wish they had listened to our wishes as a patient a little more.
Dr Peregrine always has a smile for you...She was straightforward and clear while still having a good, warm bedside manner. She is a good listener and is very good at answering questions once I ask them...She gave me her personal number and the one time I did need it, she was quick to respond and even asked how I was doing on top of it--doing more than she had to...We used Menopur, Gonal-X, later added Fyremadel, and triggered with Leupron and Novarel. Our issue is male factor infertility, so we used ICSI...
My care coordinator [at Conceptions Fertility Center] was sometimes slow to respond and the calendar was sometimes unclear. My assigned IVF coordinator was very kind and helpful...I had several emergencies that were all handled well. They use an app for your calendar, lab results, billing, and messaging people, and the app was sometimes unclear which was frustrating...I did find some typos and an inconsistency in their contract. They quickly acknowledged the issue and worked to clear it up, and they gave me the answer to my question as soon as they found out...
How was your experience with Jamie Peregrine at Conceptions Fertility Center?
We really enjoyed having her as a doctor. She was straightforward and clear while still having a good, warm bedside manner. She is a good listener and is very good at answering questions once I ask them. If you don't ask any questions, she will give you the basics of what you need to know.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Jamie Peregrine at Conceptions Fertility Center?
If you have lots of questions, try writing them down and don't be afraid to ask them all. If you don't have any questions, she will give you the bare basics of what you need to know and move on.

Dr Peregrine always has a smile for you. There were a few times when she forgot some things I had already mentioned, but she was always happy to answer all of my questions in a warm and still honest fashion. She gave me her personal number and the one time I did need it, she was quick to respond and even asked how I was doing on top of it--doing more than she had to.

Describe your experience with Conceptions Fertility Center.
Very willing to work with us, and I had several emergencies that were all handled well. They use an app for your calendar, lab results, billing, and messaging people, and the app was sometimes unclear which was frustrating. I found an inconsistency in a contract and they were open with me about not being sure how to resolve it and that they would ask and get it cleared up for me. I was not given great instructions about who to contact for what and had to figure that out for myself. I wish the website was a little more clear as well, especially with pricing breakdowns and FAQs.
However, we are so glad that we picked them. They were the most affordable place for us and gave us options on how to pay (plan vs upfront). We had a successful egg retrieval and I am five weeks pregnant with the first embryo we transferred. The staff was always happy to help. I always got good answers to my questions. Many of the staff know me and my name, which feels so personal and assuring. It is a smaller, newer clinic, and I think in some ways they're still working out the bugs, but it felt personal and like the staff all cared about us and our journey.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Jamie Peregrine at Conceptions Fertility Center.
$10,500 for egg retrieval with ICSI included as needed, $3,500 per transfer. We received a 10% discount for paying upfront.
Describe Jamie Peregrine's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Conceptions Fertility Center.
She strongly recommended single embryo transfers, stating multiple times that that was the safest type of pregnancy.

Dr. Peregrine is amazing Doctor and person. She not only gives extremely thorough care and explanations to everything but she is a doctor I felt emotionally safe with. She is caring on a level that most doctors are not and she truly is invested in the success of her patients. She is gives you all of the possible/probable outcomes of your care and respects whatever decision you choose to make. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field of practice and makes sure you know everything you need to in order to make informed decisions. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing infertility care.
Everything about the [Conceptions Fertility Center] clinic was great with the exception of the billing being disorganized at the time. I know this has since been addressed and changed so it is no longer an issue. The clinic itself was nice, on time and great to get results back quickly...The nurses, staff, etc at Conceptions are exceptional. Always making you feel like a person and not a number. They are quick to respond and never make you feel as if your concerns are not valid or important.

Know that she is going to give you all the pertinent information to help you make the best decision possible. Do not be overwhelmed by this, ask lots of questions as needed until you know how you would like to move forward with your care.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Jamie Peregrine at Conceptions Fertility Center?
Dr. Peregrine cares about her patients more then any other Doctor I have interacted with. She made sure we were comfortable with next steps every step of the way for our IUI. When it came time to inseminate or not she let us know our small risk of multiples and what that could mean as well. She not only made sure we were well informed but made sure we felt seen and heard.
Describe the protocols Jamie Peregrine used in your cycles at Conceptions Fertility Center and their degree of success.
We had more mature follicles then expected on our IUI cycle as a result of a slightly higher dose of antagonist medications due to a poor response my first IUI. We were able to get pregnant on this IUI with our twins with a 22% chance of twins and a 15% chance of achieving a pregnancy at all with IUI.

Dr. Moore is a wonderful doctor with a very gentle bedside manner...upbeat yet subtle...he has taken the curve balls in stride and helped me to know I was not alone in feeling frustrated and sad for it not going as planned or as we had hoped. He is a busy doctor, but I do feel that he try's hard to be personal and real about every situation...It was a lot of trial and error, but I always felt in good hands with Dr. Moore.
[Conceptions Fertility Center] was fairly new...as they got more busy, I often felt rushed or that I was just another person to get through...something very important to know is that it shares an office with Valley OBGYN and there are constantly pregnant women and women with brand new babies in and out. There are photos of pregnant ladies in the waiting room and this can be very triggering.
How was your experience with Andrew Moore at Conceptions Fertility Center?
Dr. Moore is a wonderful doctor with a very gentle bedside manner. He is upbeat yet subtle. He has been a great doctor. My experience with infertility has been nothing like it should as far as what usually happens for people. But he has taken the curve balls in stride and helped me to know I was not alone in feeling frustrated and sad for it not going as planned or as we had hoped. He is a busy doctor, but I do feel that he try's hard to be personal and real about every situation.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Andrew Moore at Conceptions Fertility Center?
I would say to make sure that you ask as many questions as you want to be answered. Dr Moore will answer any questions at all that you may have, but I sometimes felt like I would have to ask first if I wanted to know. I would say bring a written down list of questions to every appointment!
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Andrew Moore at Conceptions Fertility Center?
At the beginning, I felt like I was treated a lot more like a human. But the clinic was fairly new. So as they got more busy, I often felt rushed or that I was just another person to get through. As we all know, infertility requires emotion and attention and can be very personal. So there were a few times when it left me a little sad, as I felt like I didn't get quite the time I felt I needed or wanted.
Describe the protocols Andrew Moore used in your cycles at Conceptions Fertility Center and their degree of success.
I started medicated cycles with 5mg femara, then moved to 7.5mg femara and then 7.5mg femara and ovidrel. I then moved to 7.5mg femara and 75 IU Gonal f for three days, then 7.5mg femara and 75 IU Gonal f for 6 days and an IUI. All were unfortunately negative and my body did not respond super well. It was a lot of trial and error, but I always felt in good hands with Dr. Moore.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Conceptions Fertility Center.
The nurses are wonderful and down to earth. They each have their own individual personalities which I have learned and some I relate to better than others. For the most part, they are very caring and seek to be understanding. The nurses make a LARGE difference at this office and something that I loved the very most is that they were always available on the phone line to answer questions.
Describe your experience with Conceptions Fertility Center.
I would say one of the greatest strengths is that the office is very clean and neat. Its updated and comfortable. The biggest weakness and something very important to know is that it shares an office with Valley OBGYN and there are constantly pregnant women and women with brand new babies in and out. There are photos of pregnant ladies in the waiting room and this can be very triggering.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Conceptions Fertility Center.
There have been a few times that I have had testing done and I would never get a call about the results. I would wait and wait and finally call in and they would say the results were in a week or more earlier. This was frustrating because with infertility every test and procedure is very important.
He [Dr. Andrew Moore] is good at communicating and is compassionate which is important to me...I appreciate how much time he spends when meeting with us...We chose to do two medicated IUI cycles in hopes to avoid the cost of IVF. The treatment included Letrozole (pills), ovidrel (injectable) and Gonal F shot...after testing we were told IVF was our best option...
The nurses [of Conceptions Fertility Center]are great at answering calls, responding to questions, getting answers if they aren’t sure about my question, showing compassion, encouragement and communicating clearly...[billing department]she really has gone above and beyond for us in working with our insurance in trying to get some of our testing covered...IUI cost was $400 plus medications.
How was your experience with Andrew Moore at Conceptions Fertility Center?
I really love Dr. Moore and how he expresses care, celebrates each positive outcome, compassionately shares negative news and explains things clearly. I appreciate how much time he spends when meeting with us. I trust his experience, knowledge and advice and feel well cared for as his patient.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Andrew Moore at Conceptions Fertility Center?
To keep an open mind. I did not think we would need IVF, I thought it would be more simple. But after testing we were told IVF was our best option. We decided to try two medicated iuis first which failed.
We are now trying to save for IVF which will be self pay, no insurance coverage.
I trust that Dr. Moore will always be straight forward with us with our odds, whether something is worth trying again, what steps we should take next and what our realistic options are.
I feel like he is knowledgeable, pays close attention to details and is good at listening to what we feel comfortable with. He is good at communicating and is compassionate which is important to me. I feel like he is cheering us on!
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Andrew Moore at Conceptions Fertility Center?
I feel like Dr. Moore and his staff truly care about our success and failures and celebrate positive news or express compassion when sharing negative results.
Describe the protocols Andrew Moore used in your cycles at Conceptions Fertility Center and their degree of success.
We chose to do two medicated IUI cycles in hopes to avoid the cost of IVF.
The treatment included Letrozole (pills), ovidrel (injectable) and Gonal F shot.
We got a good response from my ovaries each time. I had for follicles the first IUI and three the second IUI.
I also expressed concern about my progesterone levels because of recurrent miscarriages. I started progesterone vaginal suppositories after the IUI procedure both times and took it until we got negative tests. I preferred to do blood tests and my office was great about listening and addressing any concerns I had.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Conceptions Fertility Center.
The only constructive criticism I would give is I would have liked some follow up calls to check in after failed cycles or to follow up on what we would like to do next or how we are doing. I can see how this would be time consuming, but that would have meant a lot.
The nurses are great at answering calls, responding to questions, getting answers if they aren’t sure about my question, showing compassion, encouragement and communicating clearly.
Describe your experience with Conceptions Fertility Center.
The office shares a waiting room with an Obgyn office so it can be hard sometimes when so many pregnant women are coming in and out. But I don’t generally wait very long in the waiting room which is helpful.
The person over billing can be hard to get a hold of. But she really has gone above and beyond for us in working with our insurance in trying to get some of our testing covered. It’s probably mainly our insurance that has taken so long, but it’s been 6+ months trying to get anywhere with this. I haven’t been followed up with in the past month and I don’t currently know what we owe or if it’s still pending through insurance. I need to leave billing a voicemail again. That’s probably been the main thing I’ve felt frustrated with. But they can’t control insurance!
Describe the costs associated with your care under Andrew Moore at Conceptions Fertility Center.
IUI cost was $400 plus medications. I also did diagnostic testing such as a hysterosalpingogram, genetic testing, blood work, etc. they have been working with my insurance to see if we can get any of these covered. If we pay out-of-pocket I think it will be around $2000.
We were quoted $18,000 for IVF which from my understanding would include medication, egg retrieval, genetic testing, and also an extra procedure to retrieve the sperm. But we haven’t finalized anything with that yet.
What specific things went wrong at Conceptions Fertility Center?

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Conceptions Fertility Center.
I was waiting on a pregnancy blood test result for a non fertility related procedure I was needing and I assumed the test would be negative but I need to make sure. They rushed the results, but I didn’t hear the next morning like I was suppose to. I gave it a few hours, then called in to check (as I was headed to get the procedure I needed). They had the results since late the day before, but hadn’t called which was frustrating. But timing is everything with fertility so I’m sure they have to prioritize patients at times!
[Dr. Moore] really makes a point of knowing his patients individually and meeting with us personally as often as his schedule permits...After my first IUI failed, Dr. Moore called me personally, after hours, to talk about next steps and see how I was doing. He’s very good at adjusting protocols, even in the middle of a cycle if need be. He gives his expert opinion, but ultimately leaves your treatment up to you and how aggressive you’d like to be
I love that my doctor worked at a couple other clinics before starting his own [Conceptions Fertility Center] because he saw different ways to do things and chose the one best for him and his patients. When I call, they know me by name and they’re all so personable...It is a small clinic but growing and getting busier every day, so sometimes I have to call twice to talk to the person I need to (they don’t always call me back)

Describe the protocols Andrew Moore used in your cycles at Conceptions Fertility Center and their degree of success.
My first monitored cycle with Dr. Moore, he started me on 2.5 mg of femara and while I responded well at first, my follicles did start shrinking. He acted fast and started me on 7.5 mg immediately and I was able to get 2 follicles and used ovidrel to trigger.
My first cycle of IUI was also 7.5 mg femara with ovidrel trigger. I got two follicles, but I didn’t get pregnant.
My second IUI, he reduced my femara dosage to give my follicles longer to grow, so I took 5 mg and and ovidrel trigger.
My third IUI, we did 5 mg and trigger again, but the response wasn’t quite as good. No pregnancy.
What was supposed to be my fourth IUI, we did 7.5 mg femara and 75 iu gonal f every other day (three gonal f injections). I only ended up with one follicle, on the side of my blocked tube so he determined it wouldn’t be worth doing an IUI and we just did TI. After that month failed (expectedly), we decided to move on to IVF.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Andrew Moore at Conceptions Fertility Center.
I think it was about $400 per IUI.
My IVF cycle with ICSI and FET cost about $11,000.
Embryo storage is $40 per month.
Describe Andrew Moore's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Conceptions Fertility Center.
His preference is to transfer one embryo at once, for me, he doesn’t want to transfer more than one unless I have multiple failed transfers because I’m high risk for HG.
Dr. Moore was very factual but sensitive. When we went in for an early ultrasound, he found that our pregnancy wasn’t viable. He was very careful in explaining what that meant and what that would mean moving forward. We luckily didn’t need further treatment because we had two cycles where we got pregnant in just femara; however, I knew that if we wanted or needed other treatments we were allowed to discuss these options with him. He also was super accommodating to questions and my anxieties with our second pregnancy.
They [Conceptions Fertility Center] knew us by name and knew our situation and what we were going through. I always felt like they cared about us and our well being throughout the treatment. ... One weakness is that we didn’t get our bills for a few months and they all came at the same time. They were timely in billing insurance however. When we started visiting, the clinic was very new so it did feel like they were struggling at first to keep up with paperwork, etc. I think the billing may be getting better now that they are more established but I’m not sure since it’s the end of our treatment with them. The strengths of this clinic are truly the people that work there. They are very sensitive and knowledgeable.

They knew us by name and knew our situation and what we were going through. I always felt like they cared about us and our well being throughout the treatment.
Describe the protocols Andrew Moore used in your cycles at Conceptions Fertility Center and their degree of success.
After a baseline ultrasound, I took 7.5 mg of Femara (Letrozole) on days 3-5 of my cycle. An ultrasound was performed on one cycle to determine if a follicle was maturing. He advised using ovulation test strips to help in timed intercourse but gave a general time frame for when ovulation should occur based on the ultrasound. The first round of femara was unsuccessful because I didn’t actually take the medication on days 3-5. The baseline ultrasound was not completely accurate. The second round of femara was successful in that I was pregnant, but the pregnancy ended in a miscarriage (blighted ovum). The third round of femara has also been successful and I am currently pregnant. To help prevent miscarriage, I take progesterone vaginally each night. I also take baby aspirin daily.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Conceptions Fertility Center. (Assigned nurse: Ashley)

[Dr. Andrew Moore's] Strengths include deep understanding of the fertility process, ability to explain it simply, and clear treatment plans. Dr. Moore took the time to thoroughly explain what was happening in my body. Before I started treatment with him, I didn't know many terms and things about my own body. He was patient and genuinely interested in my good experience. He also set realistic and hopeful, not unattainable, expectations.
Describe the protocols Andrew Moore used in your cycles at Conceptions Fertility Center and their degree of success.
Used letrozole as opposed to clomid. When I showed initial resistance to letrozole, he upped my dosage. For the two cycles I did with him, I had an intra-vaginal ultrasound to see if eggs had been released. I would also have blood tests to confirm ovulation.

I loved [Dr. Andrew Moore] & loved working with him. He’s very knowledgeable & trustworthy. If we ever called, emailed, or text he was quick to respond or have the necessary staff member reach out. He was very patient & took our religious beliefs into consideration too...is very personable & kind. He was willing to explain what we asked about...Dr Moore’s communication is great.
Dr Moore’s communication is great. But the coordinator & financial staff [at Conceptions Fertility Center] were trickier to get a hold of. However, if I did reach out to Dr Moore I heard from his staff within a day. I’m just the type of person that needs to see all of the numbers & details in front of me to feel ready...For Dr Moore’s office alone (not genetic testing or meds) just under $15,000 for IVF.

Dr Moore’s communication is great. But the coordinator & financial staff were trickier to get a hold of. However, if I did reach out to Dr Moore I heard from his staff within a day. I’m just the type of person that needs to see all of the numbers & details in front of me to feel ready.

I will be a high risk pregnancy due to a medical condition. So I asked, but we agreed a singe transfer would be best,
I had told him [Dr. Moore] the issues I had when I was at another office. He gave me his cell phone number and told me to call him if anyone in his office wasn’t up to par, even him...He understood that we were on a budget to get pregnant as it’s not covered in Utah... He was totally respectful of that and offered to help us find a doctor there if needed.
Be forewarned this office [Conceptions Fertility Center] is in with and Obgyn office. Which was a little bit of a shock and insult to me. I did like that there was no judgment from the staff the office is quite. So there is no distraction when you are trying to listen to what is being said or done...the receptionist told me “let’s see what your insurance will pay before you pay anything.” Which I though was very nice. I was under the impression that we had to pay cash.

Ashley asked me when we were going back for the Iui if I was ready. I burst into tears, she sat me down and wanted to know what was going on, what they needed to do to help me. She was concerned that I wasn’t mentally prepared to take on the stress but after talking to her I was much better.

Dr. Moore was very inviting to talk to. He always seemed prepared for our appointments and would address all our concerns. He always made sure we understood our “roadmap” to success. I felt like he took his time in our appointments. I get like he truly cared how we were feeling and was doing his best to help us get the outcome we wanted. Dr.Moore had great bedside manner as awkward as those appointments can be he was always caution and explained all the steps of the procedure so you didn’t have any surprises. Dr. Moore is a very kind, caring doctor that we recommend to anyone of our friends having infertility issues.
[Conceptions Fertility Center] Strengths: friendly, informative, intelligent, make you feel like you are heard and are ready to address your questions and come up with a game plan to see you succeed. Weaknesses: Billing department. I know this has already improved since we first began going to the clinic...The nursing staff was always friendly and welcoming when we came in. We loved the nurse practitioner, Mauri that did most of our ultrasounds. She was always very informative and explained everything we was seeing and what the next step in the process would be. The only hiccups we ran into was with the lab tech that did our labs. There was a miscommunication on what test we needed and they were time sensitive. Once the issue was address Dr Moore and his team accommodated and did a rush on our tests so we could get the results in time.

Describe the protocols Andrew Moore used in your cycles at Conceptions Fertility Center and their degree of success.
When we first started seeing Dr. Moore my husband had just started taking 50mg of Clomid daily to boost his sperm count. I had previously form another Dr had fibroids and polyps removed. When starting to see Dr. Moore he realized I had been taking progesterone that was prescribed by another doctor on days that could be acting like a birth control. I stopped taking that and we continued to try and get pregnant naturally for 3 months. After no luck we moved onto the next step of IUIs did 3 rounds of IUIs with negative pregnancy test for all 3. He thought for sure an IUI would work but unfortunately it didn’t. So we moved on to IVF, I don’t remember my exact does of medication. We had a very successful egg retrieval and retrieved 36 eggs, 12 turned to embryos. We opted to do genetic testing on those embryos to have a better chance at convincing. Out of the 12 we ended up with 6 viable good heathy eggs. We needed up having to wait a month after the egg retrieval before we could do the transfer due to me having a small complication after the egg retrieval. Dr.Moore and his staff were so great and helpful during that time of complication and stayed late in the office to see me and check the swelling of my left ovary. They checked in on me through the nest few days to make sure I was continuing to get better. After waiting the month and doing the first round of IVF they made sure I understood everything and the steps leaving up to the FET day. The day of the frozen transfer they made me feel so good. The nerves and stress levels are high as your trying to relax and not think to much into all that can go wrong. They had a basket full of lucky transfer socks for me to pick and wear during the transfer. Everything went smooth and found out 2 weeks later we had a successful first round of IVF and we’re pregnant with our sweet baby boy.

He said at that point we could consider and weight the pros and cons of a multiple embryo transfer but lucky in our case our single embryo transfer was a success.

My wife and I both underwent egg retrievals using stimulation medications. Of those embryos we transferred one to my wife after cervical dilation and a cervical stitch. This ultimately failed as her cervix is partially stenosed. Then we followed up with a transfer to myself which was successful.

He went above and beyond to help in situations where things went wrong (one of the tests I needed came back inconclusive and he fought the company to make sure they didn't charge me again for a repeat test, as it is $2000 each time).
