How was your experience with John Frattarelli at Fertility Institute of Hawaii?
He is methodical and knows what he’s doing. He has a large practice too. He also explains what’s going on for you so that you understand. He also makes a printout of your plan for you to take home. Lastly he creates a timeline for your initial testing for you to take home with you and then creates a tailored timeline after testing is complete
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of John Frattarelli at Fertility Institute of Hawaii?
Make sure you bring a pen and pad for notes. It is very overwhelming with all the information but that’s the way it goes. You enter a fertility clinic already embarrassed and probably not in your best state of mind so it’s a good idea to bring a notepad with you to take a bunch of notes for you and maybe your partner.

Describe the protocols John Frattarelli used in your cycles at Fertility Institute of Hawaii and their degree of success.
Firstly dr. Fratarelli creates a testing timeline for you with the types of tests being conducted and where in your cycles you should time each one. Most are done in his practice and one is done at a hospital. I had a saline ultrasound first and it came back fine. Then I had an HSG test in the hospital which felt pretty terrible but that’s because I had tubal blockage. It was very painful for me but at least now I know my fertility problem.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Fertility Institute of Hawaii. (Assigned nurse: Myra)
My care coordinator called me up and introduced herself. She was very nice and sweet and explained in detail what was going to happen next. She also sent me an email of everything we discussed because again there is so much info. The nurses at the clinic are nice and the phlebotomist is super super good.

Strengths are that they have almost everything you need from top to bottom inside the clinic itself. They also have lab technicians, scientists nurses and PAs that work with you. You will see a lot of new faces every time you go but that’s just because there’s a lot of work to be done and also a lot of patients that go here.
