Everything was ran through insurance the only out-of-pocket cost not associated with insurance was the frozen embryo storage ($1000 initial and $195 a quarter).
I had to wait 6 months after a partial molar pregnancy before going through IVF [with Dr. Vishvanath Karande], I suggested doing the retrievals during that time. Dr. Karande was on board...Dr. Karande was open about the process, explained every step and was supportive during my miscarriage. He was at multiple ultra sounds, checked in when he saw me, even if I was just doing blood work, and performed every procedure himself. I felt comfortable with him and his staff and completed supported the year I was in his care.
The receptionists [at InVia Fertility Specialists] were personable, the nurses were all outgoing and remembered you, and everyone explained everything I needed to know. I had to wait 6 months after a partial molar pregnancy before going through IVF, I suggested doing the retrievals during that time. Dr. Karande was on board. I was on clomid and 1 HCG trigger for my IUI's. I used menopur and follistrom and added gonal-f for both retrievals. I then was on Estrace and progesterone suppositories (3months) as well as progesterone injections (1 month) during the transfer/IVF.

Back in 2019 we went to InVia Fertility for our first baby after trying to get pregnant naturally for 2.5 years and no success. We went through 3 rounds of IUI with no success (statistically chances are slim anyway - about 12% for success) and then we did our first IVF cycle and it was successful. I got pregnant, pregnancy went well with no complications and in August of 2020 I gave birth to a wonderful healthy baby girl.
2023 Update - We went back to InVia Fertility for our second baby. Again the first IVF cycle was successful and I'm 12 weeks pregnant now. I feel so blessed and grateful, I tell everyone that for me, it's God and then comes Dr. Karande. Pregnancy is progressing well and we are so excited to find out the sex of the baby soon. I would highly recommend this clinic for any fertility needs, the whole stuff is extremely nice and makes you feel welcome. They almost weren’t accepted but since I have a child from the specific embryos already - they took the frozen ones, then found the paperwork. It was all going to work out, it was just a scary few minutes.
Every time I spoke to Dr. Karande he was very well informed of what my unique situation was and the treatment options available to me...From the initial consultations for both of my pregnancies to my graduation appointments I was completely impressed with Dr. Karande's knowledge of the field and his passion for helping his patients become parents. He explained what the process would be based on my preferences for treatment. He has a great bedside manner and during transfers and retrievals he had a sense of humor which helped with my anxiety while also reassuring me and my partner that he was extremely prepared and capable.

Almost everything was covered by my insurance. For my first pregnancy, I had an HMO, I paid about $500 for everything out of pocket including all co pays for office visits and medications. I also paid around $5,000 to have my embryos tested which was optional. For my second pregnancy, I was able to use embryos that I had frozen. This time with a PPO, I paid around $500 total out of pocket. I did have a hospital visit that resulted from a rare complication from my treatment that cost around $1,000 out of pocket. I also was paying $600 a year for embryo storage. This year, that increased to around $750.

I was placed onto Cabergoline to treat high prolactin levels prior to starting any treatments.
I had 3 IUI cycles and protocol was the same for all 3. Letrozole CD 5-9, and active monitoring from CD 10 every other day with bloods and ultrasound until follicles were large enough (DR prefers over 20mm) before triggering with 10,000 HCG injection. Following 2 days would have IUI procedures back to back from husbands washed sperm and was given all the information and signed off prior to procedure. Resulted in 1 pregnancy ending in miscarriage and 2 negative tests.
Was starting IVF cycle which would of been an all freeze due to PCOS and his concern ovaries would hyperstimulate into OHSS. But had spontaneous pregnancy prior to starting my stims.

I wouldn't say gone wrong. When i experienced my miscarriage i was working and wasn't available on my phone. I saw my normal message stating i had a portal message after my weekly ultrasound and opened to read a message stating they were sorry but my pregnancy was lost. I was very upset to receive that information that way but as it was explained to me not typical procedure and they believed i had already been talked to by the doctor which i hadn't. Dr called me and apologized profusely for the miscommunication and explained to me that embryo was not growing as expected and heart beat was not showing when it should be seen (6 weeks 4 days) He told me while most likely was going to be nonviable he wanted to give baby a chance and had me come for a follow up 4 days later which confirmed no heartbeat. I don't believe this is typical of this clinic and would not want someone else to be afraid of this same scenario. Overall my experience here was amazing

We went in for a FET. We were open to transferring 2 but she suggested only one- said that one would do the trick. And it did. I was on Estrace, Endometrin and PIO. Very easy protocol that wasn’t at all hard on my body or my mind. My procedure day was a ton of fun- and went perfectly. 10 days later I got a call from Dr. Klipstein on a Sunday afternoon saying “ok, we’re in business. It’s positive!”
