Dr. Palmerola cares deeply about her work and it shows. She's extremely thorough, always there to answer a question, and very personable. She made us feel comfortable the whole way through even though logistically our IVF cycle was a bit of a challenge.

I was really disappointed from my experience with Dr Gerkowicz. I wanted to like her based on all her good reviews, and her friendly demeanor, but at the first sign of problems, she got very defensive covering up for her staff's mistakes which ranged from botched instructions for medication doses to badly handled prescriptions and even one procedure where they forgot about my partner and I in the room until closing. Rather than acknowledging any failings of her staff, she just avoided me like a high school teen and ultimately ditched me on my retrieval day and for my virtual follow up. Both of which, I had already paid for.

Try an older and more experienced doctor with a more competent and communicative staff.

She did a good job, getting me to produce follicles, when the instructions made it to me. But all the pettiness, prevented her from actually following through on a retrieval. What this meant for my partner and I was that we wasted a lot of money and 4 months of our time on injections and hormones and got nothing from it.

They billed me and my partner 12 grand for two cycles of what ended up being just IUI's. My insurance covers them and also IVF. It was very difficult to get them to work with my insurance. And they would provide you with a start date for IVF and than threaten you to pay in full up front in order to begin treatment.

After feeling rushed to do IVF with my first doctor I decided to switch to Dr. Roseff because he had great reviews and a more holistic approach. He was also recommended for DOR (diminished ovarian reserve). I had to wait 4 months to see him. I was 34 when I first started seeing him with an AMH that fluctuated between .7-1.08 and an AFC that fluctuated between 5-8 (normal FSH). At the consult Dr. Roseff was great---very detailed and took his time and shared stats and research. He was a little pompous but he did have great reviews. I already had some tests done with a prior doctor and he had us do a few more while also meeting with Marta the metabolic specialist who also had us do a lot of testing. I had to wait about 2 months to see Marta. I liked the specialized testing although it meant a longer wait time to get treatment started (about 6-7 months). Marta was okay--I found working with her somewhat helpful (for example she found I had MTHFR). Subsequent meetings with Dr Roseff were very few and hard to book (I saw him about 3-4 times in about a year and that's with me being persistent). He also doesn't do ANY of the monitoring and none of the procedures which was a big con. Those subsequent meetings were more rushed and felt he was more doom and gloom---constantly calling my situation "severe" (come to find out later it wasn't as severe as he made it out to be). On my first ever IVF cycle I had 3-4 follicles growing steadily. I knew with DOR to not expect a lot of follicles and I was just happy my body was responding to meds. However, after monitoring on Day 6 (midway through) Dr. Roseff called wanting to cancel because he liked to see 5 follicles minimum for retrieval. However, he didn't think a different protocol would make a difference and that another cycle would prob yield the same response. He also mentioned donor eggs. I was a pile of tears. I followed my gut and other's advice and went against his recommendation and finished the cycle and ended up with a normal embryo. I'm SO glad I didn't cancel. I met with Dr Roseff one more time after the retrieval and he chucked up my embryo as luck and still referred my case as severe. Comparing my eggs to that of a 42 year old. He didn't apologize for wanting to cancel mid-cycle or mentioning donor eggs so early on--although I told him how devastating that was. He also was very dismissive of questions I had regarding the retrieval process. I then knew he was no longer a fit and decided to switch to someone out of state that truly specializes in DOR and faith in my ability to conceive. I'm currently 24 weeks pregnant from a natural medicated cycle on the first round with that doctor (I didn't even need IVF!). I still have my frozen embryo that will hopefully become a sibling to this baby in the near future

I don't think he's a good fit for someone that has DOR, if you are interested in giving your own eggs a fighting chance. My experience of him wanting to cancel my first ever IVF cycle midway and mentioning donors eggs so soon because he wasn't seeing at least 5 follicles growing was a red flag. With DOR, especially if you have an AFC of 5 or less---the expectation to have 5 or more follicles growing is unrealistic. I had 3 strong follicles growing and that was good for me. I was naive at the beginning and thought because he had such great reviews that he would be great for me---and I was wrong. Especially when it comes to more complex infertility cases like DOR, reviews and clinic stats don't matter as much. What matter is if your doctor truly specializes in your issue. I wish I knew sooner that clinics push donor eggs to bring up their stats and don't really want to work with someone that is "riskier and more complex". Dr. Roseff is very thorough and detailed with testing and tries to find "what is wrong." Therefore, he might be a good fit for you if you are looking for answers and someone that is more open to a holistic approach (supplements, acupunture, etc).

My first IVF cycle attempted I primed with birth control and my body did not react well. I had a cyst and a rash and discontinued the birth control and cancelled the cycle. My 2nd attempt I did a "cold start" (no priming) and did a high dose antagonist protocol with omnitrope, menopur and Gonal-F. Cetrotide to prevent ovulation and a trigger shot (Novarel).

I had great insurance that covered 100% minus the following non-covered services: Anesthesia- $650.00 ERC $980.00 ART Media kit $450.00 Zymot $290.00 PGT-A Biopsy $2010.00 Assisted Hatching $658.00 Unilab Bloodwork $3,000 Total- $8,038.00 This does NOT include the nutritionist (Marta), supplements and acupunture that was a part of my suggested "treatment plan". Total spent was closer to $12K overall for one cycle (and that's WITH insurance).

Dr. Bauer is kind, but I wish she explored all the things that we can do for optimal pregnancy and discuss all the possible routes, before going to IVF. Not everyone can have the same treatment and given my condition, age I feel like there is so much more we can do with the supplements which unfortunately she doesn’t go over extra supplements that can support pregnancy besides prenatal and ova sitol and Coq10.

Ask questions and come prepared and do your own research. She will give you general information nothing that is tailored to your condition.

For an IUI we are doing 2.5 mg of femara and injection. That is basically it. Instruction came really in detail from the nurse.

The first time I met Dr. Eisermann, I was in the stirrups covered with a paper blanket awaiting a biopsy of my uterine lining. Dr. Eisermann strolled in and started asking questions about who had referred me to his practice, since I was doing outside monitoring with IVFMD. When he heard who my primary IVF physician was, at a competing practice, he immediately said, "When you have nothing good to say, better not to say anything at all." I felt shamed as I respect my previous doctor, and I felt myself becoming defensive. While half un-clothed. He also warned me that the course of action I was taking was not what he would have done for me - in fact, he made me feel like I was making the wrong decision. He was negative about whether I should do a transfer. On a separate occasion, I asked Dr. Eisermann if he would be interested in lobbying the government for expanded fertility benefits. He gave me an emphatic no, because opening IVF to more coverage and more physicians would dilute the quality of care he would be able to give because he would have more competition. In my book, more competition drives quality, because then you have to start comparing clinics based on their results.

I would strongly recommend against it. I would go in with eyes wide open and attempt to see what the incentives are at play for him. He is not in this business to help you grow your family. He's in this business to grow his bank account, and it shows.

This clinic bills $600 for a simple blood draw and ultrasound. I didn't do a cycle here but can't imagine a the full price. Suffice to say that the copay for a fibroid removal surgery was more than my egg retrieval in NYC.

Dr. Roseff angrily dismissed us as patients after our last consultation didn't go so well. He clearly didn't want to hurt his IVF stats. He is a clever salesperson, because he will go online while you are in his office and show you the stats of his practice that they are number 1 in the state. Although he claims that he understands everyone wants a baby yesterday, his actions as a doctor speak differently. In our initial tests, it came up low thyroid & vitamin D, yet he made us wait over a month & half after the bloodwork was performed to let us know the results and to be put on thyroid medication and vitamin D. Thats a whole cycle down the drain of just waiting for them. There are other examples where he waisted time in our cycle. He makes you wait a month to get test results rather than calling with the results if it means you need to start a medication because your thyroid is low. Dr. Roseff, after all the testing, he will not make another appointment with you until you visit his nutritionist . They make you drive all the way down to miami to meet with a woman named Martha to tell you what supplements to take and then never speak about the supplements or follow up on how its going with the supplements since the the hike he made me take all the way down south Miami. There is a lot of red tape. Then when we tried to leave his practice for another local Dr who seemed to be a little quicker in his treatment practices, Dr. Roseff ended up trashing the Dr. and sort of scaring us into leaving his practice for that other Dr. Dr. Roseff also likes to sell tons and tons of testing to you and he never reviews in thorough the results of the test or what the point of the test was. Its like he makes money on all the tests. Little things too, such as constantly forgetting my medical allergies to latex at every appointment became frustrating. And since Dr. Roseff himself will not perform the IUI or Egg Retrieval other doctors in the practice will perform procedures on you and they fail to read patient notes its like they all don't communicate with one another, so my one of my procedures the Dr wasn't familiar with my anatomy and actually needed to do a ultrasounds guided. I got stuck with another Dr. who had a very poor bedside manner and was extremely mean to me. Overall, Dr. Roseff although had great reviews and is why went to him to begin with, I think that he has been around for a while and has probably had successes, but its more like a factory with a lot of red tape. There is also a lot of new medical research that Dr. Roseff is failing to institute in their practice, such as using 500 IU of HCG for a uterine wash prior to the embryo transfer to jump start the implantation process. Another concern I had was the inositol powder they are prescribing to every patient. Inositol powder actually counters egg support and should only taken if you have PCOS. They have made a lot of mistakes with our case, and time that ticks away is priceless for us. After dismissing us, we decided to go with a practice who has one to one patient care.

I wish that I had the advice that I am about to give. I would have a whole year of my life back. Expect to be treated more as a statistical number than anything else. These doctors are not the owners of the practice which means there will be no sense of urgency, or catering to individual needs. They will refer you to their labs, nutritionists, acupuncturist, sell you supplements and close to a year later they will actually start to discuss IVF.

I was put on synthroid, vitamin D, vita pearl ( prenatal) inositol powder, coq10, pqq, fish oil, probiotic ultra flora balance, and Alph lipoid acid to start. Then we did an IUI with Letrozole. We did lupron, menopure, gonadropin, and human growth hormone during stimulations for about10 days. We go two eggs retrieved which turned into 2 embryos. We did PGT testing on embryos and they came back normal. Dr. Roseff never allowed us to transfer our embryos.

When I. Actually met with Dr Alford I trusted her and liked her a lot. But my treatment mostly was done via the other staff. There was no real follow up from the Dr directly, a lot of it seemed delegated off and I felt like I should be dealing with the Dr. when dealing with the Dr she does seem knowledgeable and she was very nice. I would have loved if she was more proactive and involved in patient care and treatment.

Push her to give you several options. Ask clearly how involved she will be with your treatment.

I have a blocked tube but otherwise I’m healthy. My husband has no issues. So she started with just timed intercourses paired with ovidrel. She estimated I would be pregnant in 12 months because we knew some months I would ovulate from the blocked side as month 12 approached, I (not the Dr) pushed the conversation as to what is next. IUU was the next step and she said 3-4 was ok. Those all failed. We had met and discussed after the iui, if they didn’t work, we would need to do a consultation for ivf. After my last iui, I basically got the neg test and that’s the last I heard from them. When I called to schedule the ivf consultation they never returned my call. I called a 2nd time and did set an appointment (earliest was like 3 weeks later). I ultimately cancelled it because I no longer felt I wanted to do business with them. Which was a shame because I loved the nursing staff.

Each timed cycle cost about $800. Each iui cycle was closer to $1200.

Dr Bustillo was recommended as one of the best in her field. Despite the fact, Dr knew that my first IVF had failed, she did not take in consideration what went wrong, she treated as first time. I was not guided to select the best program, I chose a package that included medicine. At the time of the embryo transfer her cellphone rang and she answered it in the middle of the process. What professional does that. Once we were told the result was negative she indicated that the medicine that I chose was not adequate and that she did like to use it. The medicine that was included in the package that the clinic recommends. How I was supposed to know. I would not recommend Dr Bustillo for anything, it did not have delicacy when talking to us and it did not give any other alternative after the fact. Very disappointing of the clinic and the Doctor

Dr. Roseff met with me at our first appointment. I had heard great things and my husband and I were excited to begin our treatment with him. From the start, he came off as cold and unfeeling. My husband has long hair and is a musician, and Dr. Roseff could hardly hide his contempt for his lifestyle (traveling and playing music in bars). I met with his nurse, Kristi, and she was great. She was caring and explained everything to us. Thank goodness, because after we paid for our cycle, we NEVER saw Dr. Roseff again. The office is so busy and I understand that he is under high demand, but I currently go to a different office in Boca, and they are just as busy, but I see the doctor EVERY time I go.

He has a very high success rate and will try different protocols, but if you like to feel like a human being and have a full understanding of what is happening, do not expect that from him.

Because I am anovulatory and have low ovarian reserve, and because Dr. Roseff found that my husband had poor morphology (negated at our next clinic), he recommended IVF with ICSI. We did our stimulation cycle and then an egg retrieval (at IVFMD in South Miami, because for some reason, Dr. Roseff doesn't do ANYTHING). They retrieved 10 eggs, and 7 fertilized. Throughout the week, I received one call from the clinic in Miami to let me know how the embryos were doing, and was told that I would receive a call on day 6 to let me know if they would be doing PGS and then freezing, or if I would be having a fresh transfer. I am a first grade teacher, and this was the last day of school in Boca. I went to school not knowing if I would be needing to leave my students in the middle of the last day, and did not receive a call. I called repeatedly all morning, and finally received a call from Dr. Roseff as my 22 seven year olds were walking in my classroom. At that moment, he told me that all 7 embryos had dissolved. That's it. Not an explanation, just a forced "I'm sorry", and "I'll transfer you to Chantal (the receptionist) to schedule a time to sit down and talk. Chantal told me that we could come in TEN days later. I was numb and accepted the appointment, then left my class and went home. However, my family was SO angry and helped me to see that it was completely unacceptable that Dr. Roseff couldn't make time to talk to us sooner. I called and expressed my feelings, and I believe we got the appointment changed to five days later.

I believe that a cycle cost about $20,000 plus medications. However, we went through WinFertility after being made to feel by Chantel that that was the only way we could go. After leaving IVFMD and going elsewhere, I have learned that I can find cheaper medications elsewhere and that I need to be my own advocate.

I was referred to Dr. Wood from a friend who had a successful first try at IVF. From our first consultation, I felt she was very optimistic when she suggested that at the age of 42 we should try: three attempts at timed intercourse with meds, one attempt at IUI and if no results, we try IVF. I think, we should have tried IVF from the start, since my AMH numbers were extremely low from the start. This would have saved us time and thousands of dollars.

Do your research before seeing any fertility doctor. When seeing Dr. Wood, ask many questions about how effective does her office staff communicate with patients. If something does not feel right, trust your gut and quickly get a second or even third opinion from another fertility doctor.

We had three attempts of timed intercourse with meds, one attempt at IUI and two attempts of IVF. The first attempt at IVF was canceled due to the medical staff not preparing me for retrieval on time (I ovulated) . On the second attempt at IVF, 4 ova were retrieved, two of which were fertilized and only one egg was transferred).

The hours for monitoring appointments were fine.

IVF package treatment $16,000. IVF Meds/injections both attempts approximately ~$5,000 (~$10,000).

This did not apply to me, since only one egg was transferred of two that were fertilized.

I had nothing against her being young but when we had setbacks she didn't really know what to do. It wasn't until we left and went on the national level to A Class level doctors we really understood how little she knew. After I prematurely ovulated, but didn't, she should have offered to extract the eggs anyways. She didn't tell us until it was too late. Instead she pushed us into another expensive cycle which ended in similar results-again from her inexperience. IVF seems pretty straight forward until it's not. Then you want your time, money, and hope in a doctor who knows what she's doing. It's not her.

Time is not something you can get back. If you have no choice, allow them to do your monitoring but go to a nationally top doctor at SDFC in San Diego, CCRM in Denver, or ORM in Oregon. IVFMD only looks good in numbers because of sheer volume not successes. Do your homework but don't go here. Trust me.

They use a very straightforward protocol which seems nice at first but they just push you into another and another cycle, not changing the protocol enough to make a difference. If nothing else, you owe it to yourself to at least do a phone consult with national A Class docs to see what they would do. IVF is not all created equal. Doctors make a huge difference! It wasn't until we went to SDFC , our fifth doctor that we had succcess!

We had to pay upfront all at once. In the documents we signed I specify remember reading that we waived our right to legal action. Honestly that should have been our first red flag.

The Dr tells you everything you want to hear but I got no results. She relies to heavily on the staff to provide info she requests and they are not helpful at all. I feel like a number and I am looking for a new clinic.

Dr. Kenneth is a very enthusiastic and passionate about his work he will always give me good advice like taking specific vitamins and he believes in Oriental medicine as well. He is a very open doctor but at the same time grounded.

There was not enough explanation for each part of the process. She did not really evaluate my husband and myself until after the procedure failed.

Dr. Wood is a very good clinician and is very knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable and explained every procedure as she performed it. I just feel she could have had a better bed side matter in the sense of being compassionate vs strictly clinical in explaining and discussing our lab findings. We left feeling sad and hopeless

Understand that even though this is new to you, the doctor sees many patients a day with the same issue, so compassion may be lacking as information is presented in a very clinical matter of fact manner vs in a compassionate way

We just had blood work, an HSG, and a semen analysis. My husband was referred to a urologist and our next visit is in 3 months with Dr. Wood

We had to pay our specialist copay at each visit. My HSG was covered by our insurance and my husband paid out of pocket for his semen analysis.

I never saw the doctor except at the beginning. Notes were written on my account that were inaccurate. They just kept upping my meds. She never spoke to me about my treatment plan and there was constant confusion. They never charged the correct amount.

Don't expect to see her

She told me to only try two IUI's after that move into IVF because IUI'S would become ineffective. Since I was on so many meds during the IUI. I took time off before the IVF.

Dr. Alford is very thorough, warm, and respectful. She provides tons of information in a clear way and sets expectations reasonably. I felt that all of my meetings with her were helpful and clear. Her staff, however, I had very poor experiences with

No one, not Dr. Alford nor the nurses at IVFMD Naples, is going to be your case manager. You must be prepared to be your own advocate and further your treatment plan

He listens. That’s his biggest strength. However, after many failed cycles, I am disappointed that we kept doing the same things again and again. There was not much of a drastic change in treatments.

It was on the expensive side and we have spent more than $80,000 through this process with nothing to show for it :(

He is experienced and did provide the information and wealth of knowledge needed. Will it work? Too early to know. We will know when we have gone through the frozen embryo transfer or fresh transfer with him.
