Attention to Detail
Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.
For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.
CDC Success Rates
This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.
For more information please see our FAQs.
Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.
Dr. Roseff is heaven-sent. He is not only bright and fully versed on all areas of RE, he is a kind, caring, compassionate and honest doctor. He may not always tell you what you’d want to hear like other fertility doctors might. He will always be honest, and that gets RESULTS, which is ultimately what we all want. Dr. Roseff’s individualized approach to fertility treatment allowed my husband an I to naturally conceive, not once, but twice. If you want to work with Dr. Roseff, he requires you to get your body in optimal shape before starting any treatment.
The only drawback of this clinic [IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine] is the wait times for an appointment and waiting on hold to schedule appointments. That’s the only time I really felt apart of a large practice. But as with all good things in life, they are worth the wait...Although Dr. Roseff is part of a large group, his care is so individualized that you feel like you are at a small practice under the care of one very contentious doctor. He always knows what is happening in your case and makes you feel like you have all the time to ask questions and understand your treatment options.

If you want to work with Dr. Roseff, he requires you to get your body in optimal shape before starting any treatment. This is ultimately why we had success. He addressed things that our prior doctors labeled as cause for unexplained infertility, and he eliminated any cause for treatment failure. In doing so, we were set up for success even without further intervention. I have recommended Dr. Roseff to many friends and will continue to do so. He has a long wait time to see him, but there is no one else who could compare to him. He truly is gifted and my husband and I are blessed to have met him and to have been under his care along with his lifestyle specialist, Marta Montenegro. It was this dream team that allowed us to bring home our healthy son and to conceive our second one on the way. We are forever grateful.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Scott Roseff at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?

Manage PCOS with metformin
Manage MTGFR mutation with Metanx
Manage metabolic conditions with supplements and dietary/exercise plan
This all increased ovulation, increased the quality of my husband’s sperm and allowed us to conceive naturally - twice!! All after failed treatments with 2 other doctors.

I think the office is in line with other clinics if not slightly less expensive. I feel as though the clinic advises the most effective treatments to conserve resources rather than just blindly spending money.

The Dr [Dr. Scott Roseff] was courteous and spent a lot of time with us to explain and review everything. However, he kept saying: "I'm not getting paid for this. How was your experience with Scott Roseff at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?
Again, the comment about how he gets paid for this made us both (my husband and I) feel uncomfortable and wondering why he felt the need to bring it up? We came in for a consultation and felt like we were forced at that moment to decide whether or not we want to go through with it. All the suggested tests, procedures, medication and other forms of treatments were presented under the lens of "how much does the Dr profit from this" which was very icky.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Scott Roseff at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?
I don't really. I wouldnt go back.

I am an employee so whether you go through this treatment or not is irrelevant to me" which feels like something a salesman would say. Why would a Dr need to tell me how he gets paid? It made it feel more transactional and money based (not to mention the fact that 1) I have no way of verifying it 2) He still gets extra for treatments he's performing, regardless to how he's being employed 3) There are other bonuses he gets from all the 3rd party companies he was referring us to, including vitamins, acupuncture, etc)

First we had to get blood tests and ultrasound. then, based on the results, discuss next steps.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine.
Do not recall talking/interacting specifically with a nurse
Describe your experience with IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine.
The staff was very nice, but it was all a show.
1. They kept giving us conflicting information every time we would speak to them
2. We had to wait for 4 months until our next visit. During that time and early on, we've completed ALL the tests required. 1 week before our appointment (which, again, we've been waiting on for 4 months), the nurse called us to say that my husband's spit was not good enough and that he had to come in for a blood draw. In addition, since it will not be ready on time for your appointment, they would need to reschedule it 3 months out. I called and asked: "why are you telling us about this now if you had the results months ago? now we have to wait yet another 3 months. you could have told us about it earlier. In addition, we called the Invitae lab and they said they can send us another kit for free. If we come in for a blood draw, it will cost us more money". The response given was: "If you're not happy with the way we operate, feel free to find another doctor".
3. The told me they'll submit my sample to Invitae lab as "Self pay" so that I only pay $200. In reality, they submitted it through insurance, where I ended up having to pay $300. After hours of back and forth between the office and Invitae, they finally admitted that they made a mistake and that they'll get back to me with next steps. A month after they did not get back to me, I called them up again and now their story was "everyone is paying $300. Unless you and your partner both submit the sample, then its $250". I recounted the story that happened the month prior she had "no memory" of that. When I asked her about why my husband submitted a spit (for less money) and I had my blood drown for more money and we both had to pay $300, she responded with: "its the same thing".
4. I asked numerous times for a recite for the $2000 I paid while in the office, and it took them >2 months to generate it /share with me

Dr Roseff was patient and compassionate. Always taking his time to answer our questions and concerns. Never felt rushed or pressured...Thanks to his treatment and suggestions we were able to conceive our baby. He got to the root cause of our problems and quickly got us on the right treatments. Always being honest and transparent on our chances. We never felt rushed or pressured throughout the process. We plan on coming back to him for baby 2.
[IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine] Clinic is cozy, clean and well organized. All their tools are up to date. The waiting areas are comfortable and spacious enough. Staff is courteous and tries to answer all your questions as best as possible. The only thing that was frustrating was getting someone on the phone or call back. Should improve wait times on phone or call backs.

During the first appointment he [Dr. Scott Roseff] explained the whole process, got multiple exams made (which for me is excellent as it shows efficiency and clarity in their processes, and respect for my time too) and I left his office with a clear path and vision of what was coming, plus prenatal vitamins, and changes in my iron and Vitamin D (which I was taken already due to anemia). He also recommended for me to see a NUTRITIONIST,
Dr. ROSEFF and his staff had set the bar way to high! The Babymaker #1 for sure...Dr. Roseff and his team helped us to navigate this new pregnancy world, resolved all of our inquiries (I went with a >+40 questionnaire) with all the patience in the world, not rushing me for a second, the ultrasounds weren't rushed either, he gave us the opportunity to see our child for the first, second and third time in such a fashion that we could enjoy it instead of rushing it, it was such a lovely / forever in our minds experience. We are glad we didn't have to go through IVF treatment at the end, but if we had to, I would have felt so comfortable and confident on achieving it on the first try knowing it would have been led by Dr. Roseff .
How was your experience with Scott Roseff at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?
Dr. ROSEFF and his staff had set the bar way to high! The Babymaker #1 for sure!!! I went by MID-NOVEMBER 2022 to get help after trying to get pregnant on our own for 2 years and not being successful. During the first appointment he explained the whole process, got multiple exams made (which for me is excellent as it shows efficiency and clarity in their processes, and respect for my time too) and I left his office with a clear path and vision of what was coming, plus prenatal vitamins, and changes in my iron and Vitamin D (which I was taken already due to anemia).
He also recommended for me to see a NUTRITIONIST, so I sought an appointment with one working at the same office and I had it by JANUARY 11th, 2023. The nutritionist was far away from providing me a good and detailed nutritional guideline which was my initial expectation from her based on her practice, BUT little did I know that the correct expectation from her practice was to be just the right knowledgeable person to read my blood work and identify what I was lacking and what my body needed regarding supplements, vitamins and medication for pregnancy. Please mind the date of this appointment (January 11th). BY FEBRUARY 1ST, 2023 I WAS PREGNANT ALREADY. It was like magic. From that point forward Dr. Roseff and his team helped us to navigate this new pregnancy world, resolved all of our inquiries (I went with a >+40 questionnaire) with all the patience in the world, not rushing me for a second, the ultrasounds weren't rushed either, he gave us the opportunity to see our child for the first, second and third time in such a fashion that we could enjoy it instead of rushing it, it was such a lovely / forever in our minds experience.

if you're trying to get pregnant with no success please don't despair, don't lose hope; look after the right doctor and the right team. With Dr. Roseff and the nutritionist on site you're going to get pregnant yes or yes. Mind appointments with Dr. Roseff may take a while (mine took around 5 months) but it's worth the wait. Best of wishes for you: upcoming mommies and daddies :)

All nurses and staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, sweet, even the tone of their voices was calming. And the nurse who took the blood for the exams had the softest hand ever (I'm a real chicken when needles related, and with her I felt nothing).

After unsuccessful IUI’s at a different clinic, we finally saw Dr Roseff. The whole process was very detailed, lots of tests and procedures, as well as meeting with a nutritionist. The attention to detail is the secret of his success. Intralipids, specific vitamins, so many blood tests, uterine biopsies, and an endometrial scratch layer, we got pregnant! Some people want a very quick process, but his motto “do it once, so it right”, really resonated with us. We felt listened to, cared about, and it comforted me to know we were doing everything we could to set us up for success. We can not recommend Dr Roseff enough, we loved our experience and will use him again if need be for our next child.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Nichols. When no one else could figure out why were couldn't get pregnant, she could. After countless IUI and IVF fails, we got pregnant with her. They [IVFMD South Florida Insititute for RM] were easily able to work around my work schedule, answer emails, and phone calls in a timely manor. And they worked well with my insurance company so I can get the meds I needed in time. I went comfortable in their office. I usually didn't have to wait long either for my appointment...They were welcoming, personal, understanding, and made my experience amazing.

She [Dr. Thompson] is an expert in finding immunologic conditions and treating them as part if the IVF treatment plan...will dig deep to find the root of the fertility problem. During my treatment cycles, I always had every questions answered and if not the same day she would always try and reply as prompt as possible. Knowing my case with Diminished Ovarian reserve, she was very honest on my third attempt after my second had failed before embryo transfer that our second option was a donated embryo...
Part of our IVF team was Marta Montenegro the fertility nutritionist of the group. The two of them are a dynamic duo and gave me the confidence and medical assistance I needed in order to move positively towards my third IVF round....All medications will need to be purchased from SMP pharmacy as that is where you be getting all IVF meds...My IVF coordinator Bianca Hernandez was exceptional and a very good communicator. She always did her best to try and respond in a timely manner and I had no problems with her at all...
How was your experience with Kimberly Thompson at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?
Dr. Thompson is very knowledgeable in the field of Reproductive Medicine specializing in Infertility. She has over 28+ years of experience and is known for working with invasive and severe IVF cases. She is an expert in finding immunologic conditions and treating them as part if the IVF treatment plan. I have no weaknesses to say as my professional and humanitarian experience as a patient was always positive, assertive, and valid.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Kimberly Thompson at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?
I recommend before your initial visit to come in with your partner or spouse. The Doctor will ask "How long have you been trying to conceive" and with this question be as clear as water. It is imperative you discuss with your provider all medical history on both sides and if previous labs were drawn bring them to the initial visit. Chances are your provider may ask to check your ovaries just to have an initial diagnostic before ordering all fertility panel tests on both sides. The IVF coordinator will ask you and your partner to draw labs for SEMA 4 DNA panel unless the patient is using donor sperm. The woman would be the one running the DNA test before any IVF cycle begins. It is Imperative you discuss with your provider if you have any allergies to contraceptives as most IVF cycles begin with contractive suppression to the ovaries to initiate menstruation sooner. If you are allergic as myself, your provider may opt to start a Direct stimulation cycle with your period naturally when it lands on the 28-29th day of your cycle. Ask which fertility drugs would your Doctor prescribe, which doses and for how long more or less would you be undergoing stimulation. A stimulation cycle can be anywhere between 10-14 days and a trigger shot before Egg retrieval. It is very important to ask what are the side effects of these fertility Gondrophins and LH medications as every person is different. I had no reactions but bloating but every female body is different. What are the clinics success rates ? and How many cycles would you plan to undergo if not plan to preserve embryos for the near future.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Kimberly Thompson at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?
Dr. Kimberly A. Thompson is one of the best Doctors of the IVFMD team that specializes in severe IVF cases and will dig deep to find the root of the fertility problem. During my treatment cycles, I always had every questions answered and if not the same day she would always try and reply as prompt as possible. Knowing my case with Diminished Ovarian reserve, she was very honest on my third attempt after my second had failed before embryo transfer that our second option was a donated embryo. We were counseled before treatment and knew our chance was all in the hands of the Lord. Dr. Thompson informed us all honestly she would do everything she could to help us conceive. Part of our IVF team was Marta Montenegro the fertility nutritionist of the group. The two of them are a dynamic duo and gave me the confidence and medical assistance I needed in order to move positively towards my third IVF round.
Describe the protocols Kimberly Thompson used in your cycles at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine and their degree of success.
Yes, Both my protocols with Dr. Thompson were high doses due to my DOR diagnosis. I was prescribed Menopur, Gonal-F 300 IU, Cetrotide, and Novarell trigger shot the night before my Egg retrieval. All medications will need to be purchased from SMP pharmacy as that is where you be getting all IVF meds. My transfer was a fresh one performed with a day five embryo. Due to my DOR diagnosis our embryos were not tested as the Doctor recommended not to affect the embryos we had because of my ovarian condition. The best embryo was selected by the embryologist. On the day of transfer, I was instructed to drink about 32 OZ of water and bring in my estrace pill and Crinone (progesterone supplementation) after the procedure had been completed. The medications were to be continued for 10 days straight with a baby aspirin until a positive pregnancy test in blood ran at the clinic.
Describe your experience with your nurse at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine. (Assigned nurse: Darillis Ramos )
My IVF coordinator Bianca Hernandez was exceptional and a very good communicator. She always did her best to try and respond in a timely manner and I had no problems with her at all. I got to know her along our fertility journey and she was always very compassionate. Dr. Thompson's nurse Darillis, is very direct. She is not very compassionate via email and can be a bit dry in personality but that could just be her persona. As a nurse, she is very clear and always responds in a timely manner.
Describe your experience with IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine.
IVFMD has excellent nurses and phebotomists. The part that I would be very clear and concise with is the financial department. Ask for every record and receipt and before starting a cycle, you will be asked to pay the full cycle before stimulation or use IVF insurance if applicable. Ask because not all plans are accepted. They work with the Prelude network so find out which IVF insurance plan is accepted. They also offer financial plans to asss with your IVF needs. Find out their interest rate before investing in that type of plan. The financials department with Analis and Daymis are great and they are very helpful but above them check everything in your record because they can make mistakes in financial packages. Note: IVF cycles after the first attempt only get a 10% subsequent discount if you are a grandfathered patient.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Kimberly Thompson at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine.
We paid between our Three cycles with Dr. Palmerola at first and then the last two at IVFMD with Doctor Thompson anywhere between $80,000-$100,000 rough estimate possibly including the nutritionist which the medical insurance does not cover and all visits are out of pocket. Well worth the nutirionist visits. The team will orient you with meal plans, supplements that are organic and free of chemicals. They are the top of the line products to help you bring home a baby!
Describe Kimberly Thompson's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine.
Dr. Thompson gave us the advice not to test the embryos on the third attempt as in the second IVF stim cycle my medication doses were very high and we lost our embryo in the IVF lab. My body did not respond well to a very high stim so for my third attempt the first round cycle was used to initiate the third IVF cycle of stimulation.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine.
Yes, Only once If I can recall before starting my third attempt I had to fight my way out of having the assigned IVF coordinator the lab wanted me to have. I had to get my Doctor and also the coordinator I wanted involved in order to have her be in charge of my schedule. Ask if they have changed IVF protocols before starting. I remember I needed a PAP test before cycle stimulation and all preliminary tests ran before cycle start.

Take notes!
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Sabrina Gerkowicz at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?
I never knew that I would be able to receive boutique clinic-like care at a large fertility practice. Dr. Gerkowicz is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate when it comes to her patients. She is well-versed in knowledge about the LGBTQ+ community.
Describe the protocols Sabrina Gerkowicz used in your cycles at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine and their degree of success.
My first IUI Dr. Gerkowicz provided femara, ovidrel, and progesterone in addition to intralipid infusion for my elevated natural killer cell count. This resulted in a pregnancy which was miscarried at 9 weeks due to trisomy 16. My second IUI also resulted in a pregnancy. I was prescribed femara, Gonal F,estrogen, and ovidrel, as well as intralipid infusion. I miscarried at 8 weeks due to balanced translocation. My third IUI was a blur, and it resulted in a chemical pregnancy. My fourth IUI resulted in a pregnancy. I was prescribed femara, ovidrel, and Gonal F in addition to progesterone and lovenox for possible blood blotting issues. This pregnancy resulted in a healthy baby.

In particular at the Boca Raton clinic, everyone here is so knowledgeable and friendly. Dylin works at the front desk, and she’s who handles the money aspect. She’s very knowledgeable. The nurses, Leslie, Dulce, and Racine are amazing and patient. All of the medical assistants and phlebotomists are amazing too. They never leave bruises like at my previous clinic. There is usually a very little wait unless you are seeing the doctor (then sometimes you’ll wait 30+ minutes, but you don’t mind once you see the care that Dr. Gerkowicz provided to her patients). Everyone in the clinic knows me and my partner by name. They are the type of people who hug you every time they see you. It absolutely has a family-like atmosphere.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Sabrina Gerkowicz at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine.
Monitoring ultrasounds cost about $285 each. IUI procedure costs about $305 each. Intralipid infusion costs about $215 each. RIVF is on the horizon for us, and I was quoted about $12,500 for an egg retrieval, embryo freezing without medications with an additional $6k for my partner’s transfer without medications.
Describe Sabrina Gerkowicz's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine.
Dr. Gerkowicz and the clinic will only do eSET with patients with advanced maternal age if the embryos are tested. It’s a case by case decision to transfer more than one embryo based on if they are tested and age of patient.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine.
The head nurse, Gladys, failed to call with my results and information about my next procedure. She did this to both myself and my partner on different occasions. I had to call the emergency line, and when Gladys finally called me with my results, she gaslighted and belittled me. I called the CEO to complain about her, and she hasn’t been part of my treatment team since.

I was really disappointed from my experience with Dr Gerkowicz... she got very defensive covering up for her staff's mistakes which ranged from botched instructions for medication doses to badly handled prescriptions and even one procedure where they forgot about my partner and I in the room until closing...I took off work for our call, which was scheduled for a week after my IVF failure, and she just didn't show up. When I reached out to the office, someone else let me know that she dismissed me as a patient.
It feels like a cattle call [at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine]. You will be on their phone's answering service for close to an hour any time you call. Once you've made it through you will deal with rude staff and long wait times for appointments. They will make you pay in full for expensive procedures up front even if you have insurance. And you will have a difficult time being reimbursed when they do not render the services you've paid for
How was your experience with Sabrina Gerkowicz at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?
I was really disappointed from my experience with Dr Gerkowicz. I wanted to like her based on all her good reviews, and her friendly demeanor, but at the first sign of problems, she got very defensive covering up for her staff's mistakes which ranged from botched instructions for medication doses to badly handled prescriptions and even one procedure where they forgot about my partner and I in the room until closing. Rather than acknowledging any failings of her staff, she just avoided me like a high school teen and ultimately ditched me on my retrieval day and for my virtual follow up. Both of which, I had already paid for.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Sabrina Gerkowicz at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?
Try an older and more experienced doctor with a more competent and communicative staff.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Sabrina Gerkowicz at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?
the Doctor put me through two rounds of botched IVF cycles with and canceled my second round with no explanation. I had successfully created the most follicles, possible for myself. I trusted her in good faith, that she had a reason. But on our follow up appointment she left me out in the cold. I took off work for our call, which was scheduled for a week after my IVF failure, and she just didn't show up. When I reached out to the office, someone else let me know that she dismissed me as a patient.
Describe the protocols Sabrina Gerkowicz used in your cycles at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine and their degree of success.
She did a good job, getting me to produce follicles, when the instructions made it to me. But all the pettiness, prevented her from actually following through on a retrieval. What this meant for my partner and I was that we wasted a lot of money and 4 months of our time on injections and hormones and got nothing from it.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine.
This was perhaps the most awful part of working with Dr. Gerkowicz. I was assigned 4 coordinators, none of which knew my case or what I was supposed to be doing. They often forgot to relay important information to me, or when they did it was done poorly. When I addressed this with the staff they got very defensive and rude with me, making the overall experience very stressful.

Once you've made it through you will deal with rude staff and long wait times for appointments. They will make you pay in full for expensive procedures up front even if you have insurance. And you will have a difficult time being reimbursed when they do not render the services you've paid for. They will handwrite their receipts and scribble what you are paying for. For anyone used to using a larger medical system or hospital it will look very questionable. My partner admittedly believed it was a scam at first.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Sabrina Gerkowicz at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine.
They billed me and my partner 12 grand for two cycles of what ended up being just IUI's. My insurance covers them and also IVF. It was very difficult to get them to work with my insurance. And they would provide you with a start date for IVF and than threaten you to pay in full up front in order to begin treatment.

We see Dr. Gerkowicz and I cannot express how much I love her...When we were feeling discouraged, I was able to schedule a mid-treatment check in with Dr. G THE NEXT DAY and she really calmed me down, reviewed all of my labs one by one, and helped us develop a plan moving forward. I love her because she isn’t one of those “just be patient” doctors. She always has advice and something to change things up to make you feel like we’re always optimizing for the outcome.
Appointment times [at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine] were super convenient for working women. I could get appointments as early as 7am. Appointments were quick. Staff was SOOOO kind. They had multiple offices to choose from if needed. Staff responded quickly and educated along the way...Ashley [a nurse] felt like a friend by the end. Super responsive and sweet...[Dr. Gerkowicz] explained our options and set a game plan together - 2 timed intercourse cycles and 3-4 IUI cycles and then we’d regroup. We met halfway through to make sure we both felt good about the plan.
How was your experience with Sabrina Gerkowicz at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?
I cannot recommend her enough. She is so kind, informative and warm. She feels like family and as if she has a personal interest in creating your family. Her entire staff became family over the 9 months we saw them. She gave me hugs after every ultrasound. Spent at least 30 mins educating and explaining everything.
I have no complaints or cons about her.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Sabrina Gerkowicz at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?
ASK QUESTIONS! She is very detailed but if you don’t understand, ask her to explain it more or differently. She absolutely will! A lot of patients are afraid to ask or go home with lingering questions and get mad. Only you know what you know and don’t know.
Also, EXPECT and RESPECT the testing that is needed before treatment. I’ve seen reviews for the clinic that state they do too many tests up front. It’s absolutely necessary to do testing before suggesting treatment. I know it’s hard to wait to get to treatment. They fully understand you landed in front of them because you’ve been trying for a baby for a long time, but without testing how do you expect them to suggest the RIGHT treatment for you? It’s all individualized. Like how it should be.

Dr. Palmerola is wonderful but IVFMD is a bit of a factory, and a disorganized one at that. You need to stay completely on top of the medicines you need, etc., because the nursing and administrative staff will absolutely drop the ball. They will write you the wrong prescriptions, forget to send your prescriptions, forget to verify your benefits with your insurance, the works. If you have any questions, be prepared to be on hold for 20 to 30 minutes, and sometimes longer. You will have to chase them down for every last thing and it really adds stress to an already stressful process.

He’s [Dr. Gelman] very calm, compassionate, also direct when he needs to. I found him very caring, funny & kind. He listened to all my concerns and anxieties, answered all of our long lists of questions. His positive energy eased all my anxieties. He recommended holistic approach: healthy diet, exercise, supplements, accupuncture, yoga, stretching and to keep my stress level low...He was very thorough with all the bloodwork & tests...
The team of billing [at IVFMD South Florida] are great, so thorough. They explained everything. Honest with pricing, billing, provides clear itemized statements. They handled our insurance perfectly...The nurses and the team at IVFMD Cooper City are so kind especially Mica who held my hand during SIS and made me comfortable every visits. Darlene the phlebotomist always smiling and positive. Nurses: Joselyn who made us laugh during IUI, Jennifer who delivered the pregnancy news to us...
How was your experience with Kenneth Gelman at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?
I believe some people are here on earth to make a difference in people's lives, Dr Gelman at IVFMD (Cooper City) is one of them.
I was with a previous Specialist and had the worst experience of my life. I had a very painful and traumatic HSG. I was told aggressively that if I wanted to get pregnant, I needed 2 different types of surgeries and straight to IVF. I felt defeated, scared and gave me extreme anxieties. I listened to my gut and switched to a different Specialist.
I’m so happy I switched to Dr Gelman, I feel extremely fortunate and grateful to have found him. The first day I met him I knew he would be the right Doctor for me. He’s very calm, compassionate, also direct when he needs to. I found him very caring, funny & kind. He listened to all my concerns and anxieties, answered all of our long lists of questions. His positive energy eased all my anxieties.
He recommended holistic approach: healthy diet, exercise, supplements, accupuncture, yoga, stretching and to keep my stress level low. I did them all, what an amazing self care regiment that all women should practice! His recommendations totally work! Trust in him, trust the process, trust yourself.
He was very thorough with all the bloodwork & tests. He was honest that my ovarian reserve were low and percentage of success were lower with IUI but remains hopeful and he said to keep moving forward.
He performed an SIS which he confirmed uterine polyps. He then recommended surgery, then 2 rounds of IUI, if IUI didn’t work then IVF.
Turns out, I didn’t need IVF. I had surgery in January. First round of IUI in February, Second round of IUI in March. By April we are pregnant!
I highly recommend Dr Gelman and his entire team at IVFMD in Cooper City. I am beyond grateful and thankful for the highest level of care and compassion, organization and thoroughness. We were sad to leave his care. What an “A” Team! They are our lucky stars!

Physically and mentally, it was all taking a toll on me. I’m so grateful to have Dr Gelman and his team by my side. During covid I had to do most appointments by myself. The nurses and the team at IVFMD Cooper City are so kind especially Mica who held my hand during SIS and made me comfortable every visits. Darlene the phlebotomist always smiling and positive. Nurses: Joselyn who made us laugh during IUI, Jennifer who delivered the pregnancy news to us. Leslie from Boca who was at the Cooper City office on a weekend to do my IUI, she said she would get us pregnant :) and she did! Dr Wood who did my surgery perfectly! She was very thorough and removed all the polyps, short and quick recovery post operation. She said the reason why I couldn’t get pregnant is because the polyps were in the way, preventing implantation.

IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine
It was VERY difficult to communicate with the doctor [Dr. Roseff]. I wish they had a portal for communication. Dr. Roseff was very adamant about not wanting patients to directly communicate with him...I don't think he's a good fit for someone that has DOR, if you are interested in giving your own eggs a fighting chance. My experience of him wanting to cancel my first ever IVF cycle midway and mentioning donors eggs so soon because he wasn't seeing at least 5 follicles growing was a red flag...
The nurses [at IVFMD South Florida Institute] were the middle person and although they tried their best, sometimes I felt I wasn't getting the answers I needed. Also, the wait times for IVF monitoring were sometimes over an hour. There was one day I was there for almost 3 hours...Insurance paperwork wasn't submitted on time. There was a miscommunication with doctor and staff at one point because the nurses/staff didn't know I was supposed to be starting IVF that week....
How was your experience with Scott Roseff at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?
After feeling rushed to do IVF with my first doctor I decided to switch to Dr. Roseff because he had great reviews and a more holistic approach. He was also recommended for DOR (diminished ovarian reserve). I had to wait 4 months to see him. I was 34 when I first started seeing him with an AMH that fluctuated between .7-1.08 and an AFC that fluctuated between 5-8 (normal FSH). At the consult Dr. Roseff was great---very detailed and took his time and shared stats and research. He was a little pompous but he did have great reviews. I already had some tests done with a prior doctor and he had us do a few more while also meeting with Marta the metabolic specialist who also had us do a lot of testing. I had to wait about 2 months to see Marta. I liked the specialized testing although it meant a longer wait time to get treatment started (about 6-7 months). Marta was okay--I found working with her somewhat helpful (for example she found I had MTHFR). Subsequent meetings with Dr Roseff were very few and hard to book (I saw him about 3-4 times in about a year and that's with me being persistent). He also doesn't do ANY of the monitoring and none of the procedures which was a big con. Those subsequent meetings were more rushed and felt he was more doom and gloom---constantly calling my situation "severe" (come to find out later it wasn't as severe as he made it out to be). On my first ever IVF cycle I had 3-4 follicles growing steadily. I knew with DOR to not expect a lot of follicles and I was just happy my body was responding to meds. However, after monitoring on Day 6 (midway through) Dr. Roseff called wanting to cancel because he liked to see 5 follicles minimum for retrieval. However, he didn't think a different protocol would make a difference and that another cycle would prob yield the same response. He also mentioned donor eggs. I was a pile of tears. I followed my gut and other's advice and went against his recommendation and finished the cycle and ended up with a normal embryo. I'm SO glad I didn't cancel. I met with Dr Roseff one more time after the retrieval and he chucked up my embryo as luck and still referred my case as severe. Comparing my eggs to that of a 42 year old. He didn't apologize for wanting to cancel mid-cycle or mentioning donor eggs so early on--although I told him how devastating that was. He also was very dismissive of questions I had regarding the retrieval process. I then knew he was no longer a fit and decided to switch to someone out of state that truly specializes in DOR and faith in my ability to conceive. I'm currently 24 weeks pregnant from a natural medicated cycle on the first round with that doctor (I didn't even need IVF!). I still have my frozen embryo that will hopefully become a sibling to this baby in the near future
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Scott Roseff at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?
I don't think he's a good fit for someone that has DOR, if you are interested in giving your own eggs a fighting chance. My experience of him wanting to cancel my first ever IVF cycle midway and mentioning donors eggs so soon because he wasn't seeing at least 5 follicles growing was a red flag. With DOR, especially if you have an AFC of 5 or less---the expectation to have 5 or more follicles growing is unrealistic. I had 3 strong follicles growing and that was good for me. I was naive at the beginning and thought because he had such great reviews that he would be great for me---and I was wrong. Especially when it comes to more complex infertility cases like DOR, reviews and clinic stats don't matter as much. What matter is if your doctor truly specializes in your issue. I wish I knew sooner that clinics push donor eggs to bring up their stats and don't really want to work with someone that is "riskier and more complex".
Dr. Roseff is very thorough and detailed with testing and tries to find "what is wrong." Therefore, he might be a good fit for you if you are looking for answers and someone that is more open to a holistic approach (supplements, acupunture, etc).
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Scott Roseff at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?
While the consult was long and detailed---I liked that he took the time to explain many things and answer many questions---all subsequent appointments with Dr. Roseff after the consult felt rushed and sometimes even dismissive when I asked questions and when I wanted something clarified. For example when I asked him to clarify his reasoning for not triggering sooner he said "I've been doing this for many years, you have to trust why I made the decisions I did". At that point I did not fully trust him because he had wanted to cancel mid cycle and if I had not gone against his recommendation I wouldn't have gotten my embryo.
Describe the protocols Scott Roseff used in your cycles at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine and their degree of success.
My first IVF cycle attempted I primed with birth control and my body did not react well. I had a cyst and a rash and discontinued the birth control and cancelled the cycle. My 2nd attempt I did a "cold start" (no priming) and did a high dose antagonist protocol with omnitrope, menopur and Gonal-F. Cetrotide to prevent ovulation and a trigger shot (Novarel).
Describe your experience with your nurse at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine. (Assigned nurse: Lisa)
I was mostly monitored at IVFMD Cooper city since it was closer to me. You have to be really on top of things or they could be overlooked--for example when I was about to start my 1st cycle they had not submitted anything to my insurance. A few times I had to calculate some of my out of pocket costs and realized they had to credit me. Once I reached out with any issues it was taken care of. But if I had not checked I wouldn't have known. Sometimes I had to wait an hour and a half for monitoring and the waiting room was overflowing. There was one nurse there that did the blood draws that was very caring and amazing. She made the experience less stressful. My insurance only covered Quest bloodwork but the clinic "required" me to use Unilab because they said it was the only guaranteed same day results. I wish I would have been more adamant about using Quest because I received a bill for over $3k for just bloodwork. When I transferred to another doctor I was able to do Quest and every time was able to get results same day if I went into a Quest lab before 7am.

IVFMD is a big clinic with lots of locations and doctors to choose from. The con is that you do feel like a number. However a big pro is that although my doctor was in Boca I could be monitored at a location that is closer to me because they has several locations to choose from. The best way to communicate with my coordinator and financial person was via email--they usually responded within 24-48 hours. Although there were a few times I didn't get a response for over a week. It was VERY difficult to communicate with the doctor. I wish they had a portal for communication. Dr. Roseff was very adamant about not wanting patients to directly communicate with him. The nurses were the middle person and although they tried their best, sometimes I felt I wasn't getting the answers I needed. Also, the wait times for IVF monitoring were sometimes over an hour. There was one day I was there for almost 3 hours. The organization of this could have been better.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Scott Roseff at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine.
I had great insurance that covered 100% minus the following non-covered services:
Anesthesia- $650.00
ERC $980.00
ART Media kit $450.00
Zymot $290.00
PGT-A Biopsy $2010.00
Assisted Hatching $658.00
Unilab Bloodwork $3,000
Total- $8,038.00
This does NOT include the nutritionist (Marta), supplements and acupunture that was a part of my suggested "treatment plan". Total spent was closer to $12K overall for one cycle (and that's WITH insurance).
Describe Scott Roseff's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine.
I didnt do a transfer since I wanted to bank embryos but he did mention a preference for single embryo transfer

Dr. Bauer is kind, but I wish she explored all the things that we can do for optimal pregnancy and discuss all the possible routes, before going to IVF. Not everyone can have the same treatment and given my condition, age I feel like there is so much more we can do with the supplements which unfortunately she doesn’t go over extra supplements that can support pregnancy besides prenatal and ova sitol and Coq10.
[the IVFMD S Florida nurse] is amazing and always gets things done and ready when I need them. She answers all the questions and so far she is absolutely brilliant...Front desk definitely needs training. Girls are not organized and miss information all the time...No one explains you what you have to do and you will Most likely have to figure it out on your own and ask where and what..

Dr Roseff takes his time with each patient. He is the kindest and even gives hugs...He tested for every possible thing and I trusted him the entire process. I never once felt the need to ask a question, as he always went I to depth about anything that wasn’t self explanatory...I had a thyroid problem to Ken and my right tube was weird, not blocked though. Dr Roseff went above and beyond checking every little IMPORTANT detail in both myself and my husband that other fertility Doctors do not bother to look into. Throughout this process I saw his staff A LOT! Every single one of them has been AMAZING!! I can’t thank you Dr Roseff enough for ALWAYS making me feel special, important, being honest with us and never making me feel like a number! Our last appointment was filled with happy emotions but I will say my husband and I were extremely sad it was our last appointment with Dr. Roseff. Thank you so much for your care and guidance during this incredible blessing of an experience. Thank you for making our dreams come true!!!! We Love you forever!!
Anyone looking for the BEST IVF DR in the world look no further!!! You will have a doctor and staff who truly care about you and treat you feel like family!! Describe your experience with IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine.
Everything went amazing the staff is super friendly the only thing that sucks for me now is that I need to do intralipids and they use to do it at the boca office that is near my house but they stopped so i have to travel almost an hour away to get them done. Its not a terrible thing just annoying but its only once a month so it is what it is and im pregnant so im not complaining =)

Dr. Gerkowicz, "Dr. G," is the kindest, most intelligent, patient and unfailingly positive doctor I have ever met. She dealt with my anxiousness surrounding the IVF process like no other, and was always there for me whenever I had a question or concern...She switches between the Cooper City and Boca Office, know that certain procedures are only done in the Cooper City office....
They [IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine] were usually on time, they confirmed appointments in advance. I would have wished I could have done all my treatments at the Boca office because it was more convenient but I understand they did not have the staff and equipment to be open on the weekends and perform all the procedures necessary...one time they did not draw the correct blood test for me and I had to go back to the office the next day, it was not a big deal...

She dealt with my anxiousness surrounding the IVF process like no other, and was always there for me whenever I had a question or concern. I wish I could continue on as her patient, but because she is so good at her job and I am now pregnant, we had to part ways. I cannot recommend her enough, she is a gem.

I have good insurance, even so I had to pay often to an out of network lab for STAT blood work, along with whatever testing/procedures/ treatments my insurance company did not cover, I would say I ended up paying around $8000 out of pocket

Dr. Roseff will do whatever it takes to get to the root of the problem for each individual patient to ensure the common goal of getting pregnant is achieved. Dr. Roseff is incredibly detail oriented, thorough, and cares so much about his patients...natural modified cycle with letrozole, prednisone, intralipids, HCG trigger shot...Dr. Roseff requires extensive testing on both partners to ensure any issues are taken care of before you jump into cycles...
Nursing staff [at IVFMD South Florida Institute] is the best. So patient and caring, I always knew I was in the best hands. They were my biggest cheerleaders and celebrated all my wins and supported me through all the loss...never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes for an appointment. Clean. Finance team is excellent. Great overall experience. I would try to stay away from the copper city location if you need to go to another location for any testing or intralipid appointments, Jupiter is a great secondary location...
How was your experience with Scott Roseff at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine?
If you are looking for the best Reproductive Endocrinologist in the state of Florida, look no further. Dr. Roseff is the best around and surrounds himself with an incredible team including Dr. Montenegro (focuses on lifestyle and nutrition). Dr. Roseff will do whatever it takes to get to the root of the problem for each individual patient to ensure the common goal of getting pregnant is achieved. Dr. Roseff is incredibly detail oriented, thorough, and cares so much about his patients (which is incredibly hard to find). The IVF process with Dr. Roseff is carefully explained every step of the way and patients are given options about care that are truthful and straightforward. Dr. Roseff requires extensive testing on both partners to ensure any issues are taken care of before you jump into cycles that could potentially cost thousands of dollars with nothing to show for it in the end.
Our lives have changed because of Dr. Roseff and I have recommended this team to so many close friends and family, and will continue to do so for as long as he is in practice.
