Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

He [Dr. Wilshire] was very blunt and informative anf seemed very positive about us getting pregnant.... Very personal and informative and answered all questions. Explained all options from the beginning. He was thorough with testing... He suspected endometriosis and confirmed via laparoscopic surgery. He explained all medication and pricing available to us as well as IUI and IVF. We completed 5 rounds of IUI, 4 with clomid and 1 with injections that all failed.
Desk stafg [Mid- Missouri Reproductive Med and Surgery] seemed very lost and uninformed at times. Very nice, but seemed very unexperienced most of the time... Was told a certain insurance was accepted prior to services and then weeks later was informed It was not and I would be responsible for 100% of the bill.... Approximately $10,000 out of pocket... Nurses were very nice and supportive. Very comforting atmosphere. Wilshire was very knowledgeable and had good communications skills and personal experiences. He was very blunt and has a dry sense of humor.

Describe the protocols Gil Wilshire used in your cycles at Missouri Fertility and their degree of success.
He suspected endometriosis and confirmed via laparoscopic surgery. He explained all medication and pricing available to us as well as IUI and IVF. We completed 5 rounds of IUI, 4 with clomid and 1 with injections that all failed. We took a year off and I lost 40lbs. We conceived naturally but miscarried at 10wks under Wilshire's care. He completed another laparoscopic surgery after a d/c to remove endo that had grown back and then completed a 7th IUI with that failed. Currently trying naturally due to finances.

I rarely got to speak to the actual doctor [Dr. Gil Wilshire] and when I did it was in passing, not in his office. He also didn’t like when I asked questions about my treatment...I felt like he didn’t care if I got pregnant or not...He would never advise me if next steps. I was told it was up to me, which isn’t helpful. He seemed offended when I asked questions about my treatment plan...I used Clomid for the first two IUIs and Femara for the other three. I did not have IVF at this clinic...The nurses actually performed the IUIs.
I used Clomid for the first two IUIs and Femara for the other three. I did not have IVF at this clinic [Missouri Fertility]...The nurses actually performed the IUIs. They seems professional enough but not very passionate about their work...I had to wait a long time to get in for my first appointment. I also paid up front for everything, even though my insurance partially covered ultrasounds. Getting a refund of overpayment took a year...I rarely got to speak to the actual doctor [Dr. Gil Wilshire] and when I did it was in passing, not in his office.
