Dr. Goodman is a nice enough doctor and is able to answer all your questions. I wish I could have more communication with her rather than her nurse or PA answer my questions through the patient portal.

Make sure to have all your questions written down before you meet with her, she goes quickly through the appointment.

I have PCOS so making sure all my blood work was completed was vital, I was put on Metformin (I can not remember why but I am sure it has to do with my PCOS), I was also put on medication to help induce my period every month. I am about to start my first round of IUI and I will be taking a injection two nights before the IUI procedure.

My insurance unfortunately did not cover any fertility treatment related costs. I would have to pay for every visit, blood work up , and all my IUI related costs.

They just treat you as a number in the IVF game. The doctor never personalized or discussed what our end goals are. I never got a good understanding of the process, it always felt rushed through. The doctor says one thing and then does completely different things after the appointment. They do not honor any timelines with the patient. The entire IVF process is more stretched out than it needs to be

A very standard IVF protocol that you can get from google search- birth control for 15 days, gonal, menopur and triggers. The results are super subpar and we got close to no embryos.

Never made it to transfer as egg retrieval is so poor with this doctor.

Dr. McCormick seems knowledgeable in basic areas of reproduction, but it seemed as though not jumping right to IVF caused her to give me subpar attention and treatment. She diagnosed me with PCOS early on, based only on an ultrasound. No additional testing was done at that point (no A1C, glucose, or testosterone testing). She told me to lose weight, change my diet, and exercise. Unfortunately, if I do have PCOS, it isn’t as simple as going on whatever diets or exercise plans I want. When she had trouble doing my HSG procedure, she did retry several times (and was successful once). However, she never could seem to provide options for how she could access my cervix, as she said it sat funny. I felt she was pretty dismissive about this. Because she could not easily access my cervix to insert a catheter, she said we would just do medicated cycles with timed intercourse. We did this 4 times, with no success. Dr. McCormick never offered to do any other testing or blood work for myself or my husband. I had to ask about another semen analysis for my husband and they realized it had been longer than recommended for another one. So I’m not sure when she would have eventually asked us for one of those. I had to push her to give me some sort of other blood work to check for PCOS. My regular obgyn, my dietitian, and my regular physician were all confused why I was never given an A1C or testosterone test with Dr. McCormick. After pushing for something additional, Dr. McCormick finally had me do a 3 hour glucose test and gave me the name of a dietitian that specialized in PCOS/infertility. I’m still confused why it took 8 months to be given this information. After having an abnormal glucose test, she put me on metformin. However, there seem to be no plans in place to monitor my blood sugar, etc. I was told if I had questions like that, I would need to schedule an appointment to speak to the doctor. I find this rather annoying since each appointment costs me $140. Additionally, after 4 medicated rounds, she decided to do IUI. However, because she could not access my cervix, the technician who was performing the procedure was told to not try and they only inserted the semen sample near my cervix. Overall, Dr. McCormick is extremely dismissive and often abrasive in her delivery. I only saw her in person during my attempted HSGs and a phone call consultation 2 times. Everything else went through her support staff.

Be ready to advocate for yourself with Dr. McCormick. She will usually not listen to you and is very narrow minded in her style of treatment.

We did 4 medicated (letrozole and Ovidrel trigger shot) with timed intercourse. Rationale was that she could not easily access my cervix, so said I was not a good candidate for IUI. Then we did 1 round of IUI, but the semen sample was planted near my cervix, not inside, because she could not easily access the cervix. My husband was told he had low motility, but nothing was done for this. We had the option to do 3 more IUIs, but decided to move to a new clinic.

$700-950 HSG. $150- ultrasound. $350-ish for IUI (sperm wash, insertion part). $92 - Ovidrel trigger shot. $130 - semen analysis. $140 - appointment with dr.

It was nice to meet the doctor on the first visit. Negatives - 1. She would not release my medical records to me until scheduling another office visit with her. 2. These delays cost me time that I can not get back 3. Her advise was wrong, she said that my test results would not change within 6 months - it has been 3 months and upon second round of testing the my AMH has decreased further. Half of that time was wasted between testings because of her "policies."

Do not go to her. Ask any clinic you are evaluating when you can expect the results from the reports. Other clinics give them you while the procedure is being done. There is a monitor so that everyone can see what is going on during the procedure with a nurse present to communicate it.

I did not pursue treatment with McCormick. I felt uncomfortable with the attitude of the staff at the saline sonogram and decline the service.

She was in network for my insurance for diagnostic procedures. I never received a formal quote, but she said approximately $20k for a cycle of IVF.

A strength of Dr. Goodman is that she does have a lot of knowledge in the area around infertility and she does explain things thoroughly. For example -- After my HSG Dye Test she provided me my results and explained that the Fallopian tube may have a blockage, it may be misshapen, or it may have no issues and I was just laying funny. She explained the reasons why she would want to look for it if I'm considering IVF. She also explained there's a chance that it's nothing and she will go in there and everything will be fine. I appreciated her candor. Weakness: - Conversation feels rushed. - She has no knowledge on pricing -- that always goes to a separate department. - She is not great at follow through and is hard to get a hold of if you're not face to face. After my HSG test I was having pain in my lower abdomen. I went back and they did an ultrasound and also did some bloodwork. I expected to get results of my ultrasound at that point, however, nobody ever discussed with me they just sent me out the door. I was upset, and in pain.. so I went to the front desk and asked them if I can get some answers from my ultrasound. They told me nobody could help me because they were busy, but they will call me before end of day. I did get a call before end of day, but the whole thing was odd. I never saw Dr. Goodman. I was obviously in discomfort and felt very pushed to the side. - No bedside manner. Dr. Goodman is matter of fact. It's black or white. There is no gray.

Definitely have lists of questions ready. She will answer them well. If you're the type of person who likes reassurance and good bedside manner, I suggest looking elsewhere for that.

I haven't gone into IVF with Dr. Goodman yet. I cannot afford the treatment at her facility and have since switched to CNY. Her only protocol to date has been to put my husband on supplements for his sperm count.

I have insurance with a high deductible. To date I haven't gotten my IVF done there but I know without insurance it's roughly $12,000 for one round of IVF. The pretesting blood work was maybe around $150 out of pocket. The HSG Dye test was around $600. Each appointment is around $100 for me. I don't remember specifics but that's roughly right. I know the tube surgery I will be having done is going to run me anywhere from $500-$1000 with insurance.

She is easily frazzled and incompetent as a fertility doctor. I think sapphic women make her uncomfortable. She seemed nice at first but the way we were treated was unacceptable. She didn’t even finish our consult or give us any actual information but still charged us $225. There was no real apology for what happened. She mostly just seemed very uncomfortable and didn’t know what she was doing! Which is why nothing was done.

Do not go see this doctor or any doctor in this clinic as the staff also don’t seem to have a clue. Maybe, if you are a straight couple or a single woman, but definitely steer clear if you are LGBT+. I read the reviews and didn’t listen, thought maybe they were jaded people but that is not the case.

Dr Goodman is a caring dr. She is very good at what she does. My hsg I didn’t feel a thing. I wish she would do the iui instead of the nurses. I had complications with my iuis and were very painful. My iuis have failed because a problem was discovered and I had to do more testing. Now I am possibly looking at surgery.

When something isn’t right, be sure to speak up. It is a high volume office and you need to be your own advocate

My treatments were simple. Letrozole and trigger shot. We used ultrasound for the timing of the iui. I was a great responder.Unfortunately it did not work for me. I am now looking at surgery bc of a complication that was found during the iui.

My iui were 375. The ultrasound monitoring was 155 a piece. My trigger shot was 92 and my letrozole was less than 15 dollars. I believe my hsg was about 500 but that was with insurance. My copay for consults are 80 bucks.

I felt that Dr. McCormick didn't address all of my needs. She diagnosed me with Hashimoto's only after I pushed to get more thyroid testing. She didn't discuss any plan to address the Hashimoto's once pregnant. I think she is knowledgeable about certain things, but autoimmune disorders were not among those things. Also during testing I had intense anxiety about repeating my HSG, but she would not budge because we were barely over a year since my last one. It felt like she was more concerned with following a textbook than looking at my individual needs as a person. And in the end my tubes were STILL clear just as I suspected.

Consider your own individual needs and if Dr. McCormick is the right fit. I've met people who loved her, but in the end, she wasn't right for what I need.

She recommended IVF with ICSI due male factor issues. Also recommended PGT because of previous miscarriage due to chromosomal issues. We didn't continue with her, but have followed these same recommendations with new doctor. She didn't address Hashimoto's - but new doctor (Dr. Skinner in Barbados) has plan to help address this to reduce chances of miscarriage.

Expensive. We were planning to pay close to 30k for a multi try plan where you get two tries with egg retrieval and unlimited transfers.

She recommends always doing single embryo transfer. Not open to multiple embryo transfer.

I would not recommend Reproductive Medicine Group or Dr. Goodman to anyone. I have since moved my care and money to a new practice. My experiences with RMG consisted of 2 IUIs (1 resulted in a chemical pregnancy), 1 retrieval and 1 failed embryo transfer. The key issues I had included: lack of transparency, inflexible/nonsensical policies, use of a cookie cutter clinical approach, no physician interaction outside of major procedures, and Dr. Goodman's terrible bedside manner. Lack of Transparency: Don't expect to see your doctor or any doctor during most of your visits. The techs that complete all your monitoring visits are not allowed to tell you anything and that includes potential number of eggs or share any information about the thickness of your lining for your FET. Someone from another department will call you before the end of the day with next steps. You will not be told the gender of your embryos either which I knew going in and dealt with. I foolishly thought this was all standard practice across all fertility clinics but I learned it is not. In contrast, my new doctor shares and educates me throughout the ENTIRE process. There is a monitor directly in front of me so he can point and count the eggs with me. He ensures I know what to expect before each retrieval. Dr. Goodman told me that they will not share this information (reminder: this is about your own body) because they don't want to create unrealistic expectations. So, they choose to keep you completely in the dark. Inflexible/Nonsensical Policies: You will waste a lot of precious time if you embark on your IVF journey with this clinic. RMG refuses to complete the long list of to-dos concurrently. As an example, they have to get all your results before they will let you sign consent forms which they require you to do with Dr. Goodman who has very limited availability. By the time your results come in, they give you an appointment 2-4 weeks away because Dr. Goodman is booked. The office staff insists it is some kind of law that the doctor is present at the consent signing even though she is there for 1 minute to ask if you have any questions before a nurse comes in to help you fill out the forms. I consistently faced delays in care due to her schedule. I understand that doctors are busy but this was ridiculous. I had to wait 4 months between my retrieval and FET due to all the administrative hurdles RMG created. I can't even count how many times I heard,"Dr. Goodman doesn't see patients on Fridays" or "Dr. Goodman is on vacation". On the other hand, my current doctor provides me with his cell number, works weekends and expects me to text or call him if I have questions. THAT is what I expect when I pay $12k-$15k for a medical service and you should expect that too. The Cookie Cutter Approach: I do not feel that Dr. Goodman did or advised on anything that was clinically incorrect and that is based on follow-up questions I asked my new doctor just to see if his answers differ. However, it feels like she uses a standard copy/paste approach for her patients. I was a fast stim for my egg retrieval and she never bothered to adjust my medications to slow the growth and to obtain higher quality eggs. It felt like she set the protocol in the beginning and let it run with no additional follow-up. My 2nd and 3rd retrieval (not with RMG) consisted of a lot more medication tweaking which yielded higher quality embryos. Limited/No Physician Interaction: I rarely saw Dr. Goodman and never spoke to her on the phone. Of all the appointments I had, I saw her for the initial consult, saline ultrasound, 1 FET and 2 follow-up appointments after the IUI failed and the FET failed. She did not do my retrieval or either of my IUIs. I believe their IUIs are always done by nurses. For the retrieval, Dr. Goodman was again not available so this was done by another doctor. Techs complete all the ultrasounds for your retrieval and FET prep. If you're lucky, you may catch your doctor breezing by you in the hallway. If you have questions, you will need to call the office and talk to a nurse. I've never had Dr. Goodman answer any of my questions unless she is sitting right in front of me. Bedside Manner: I don't need a therapist but I also need my doctor to understand how difficult the infertility road is and that I have a lot of questions floating around in my head. There were several occasions when she was outright condescending. One of her responses that I will never forget is when she said, "I can't be here all day going over all these scenarios with you". That was in response to my many questions about what comes next and when. At the end of the day, I should have done more research so shame on me for not doing it. If you want to be valued like a human being, 100% clued into what they are doing to your body and what is happening to it then this is not the practice for you. Believe me when I say, you can find better care elsewhere.

Fertility options are limited in this part of Florida. If you do not have the luxury of going out-of-state then think about the things that are most important to you and make sure your doctor can live up to your expectations. If RMG is your only option, I would highly recommend talking to several doctors in the practice before choosing one. Lastly, if at anytime during the process you feel that your care is inadequate then pause to consider other options (e.g. new doctor/clinic). It is tempting to plow forward given how impatient we are to hold our future baby in our arms but at the end of the day it's emotionally draining to deal with subpar care.

Egg Retrieval: Menopur, Gonal F and Lupron trigger (6 retrieved/2 normal) FET: Estrogen (2X weekly) for approximately 2 weeks and daily Progesterone injections for 5 days prior to FET

Dr. Goodman will not transfer more than 1 embryo and will not transfer mosaics.

I like this doctor because he is knowledgeable and confident. I do wish he had more empathy with sharing results and hearing questions. I also wish he’d acknowledge when you wait over an hour past your appointment time.

Dr Goodman is very nice. I just never see or hear from her. Ever. I only see the techs, and clinic staff. 3 unsuccessful IUI's and I haven't heard anything from a doctor. I've asked the techs if there is anything else I/we can do to increase chances ect and I'm told no. No support or communication from my doctor during this last 4 months.

If you want personalized attention, go somewhere else. She's great when you see her, but you wont see her often.

Diagnosed with possible PCOS and Uterine polyps. Surgically removed polyps. Started Femera. Initially 5mg a day on cycle day 3-7. Ovidrel injection on day 12 and IUI on day 14. Unsuccessful. Same dose for cycle #2. Did not ovulate. Was told to keep checking with OPK's and come back on day 21 for progesterone blood draw. Blood draw on day 21. Positive OPK that evening. Called next day for appt to schedule IUI and the clinic was closed for a staff meeting. Inwas unable to speak with anyone and missed an entire cycle for IUI. Increased dose of Femara for IUI cycle #2. 7.5mg cycle day 3-7. Ovidrel injection on day 13 with IUI on day 15. Unsuccessful. Currently on cycle #3.

The initial testing is the most expensive so far. Greater than $7,000 just for labs, hysteroscopy with polyps removed.

Out of the seven months I spent receiving treatment for infertility I only saw Dr. McCormick twice. This included the initial consultation and then the very last sit down to tell us our 5 IUIs have failed and we should move on to IVF. Seven months and I spent a total of 30 minutes with my doctor. She never once performed a procedure or IUI (always a nurse). She never stopped in during an ultrasound to explain things or simply check on us. Not once. Every month we were left with questions and not knowing how we should handle the next month. Where was my doctor to help us understand? I really don’t know.

If you’re not sure of the details/extent of your infertility and sincerely want to figure it out and bring home a baby, find a doctor who actually spends some time on your unique case and helps you figure it out. This doctor will not be Betsy McCormick.

Right off the bat after my bloodwork showed low AMH Dr. McCormick recommenced IVF. We could not afford it so we opted to try IUI cycles with Clomid. My first cycle of treatment I was prescribed 100mg of Clomid (2 pills) one a day for 5 days. I was then brought in for an ultrasound about 8 days later where it showed my body was producing 3 mature follicles and was ready for a shot of Ovidrel the next day. The IUI was then performed 2 days later. This failed, and next month went exactly the same except the doctor decreased the dosage to 50mg of Clomid (1 pill) everyday for 5 days due to the amount of mature follicles it helped produce. This was all told to the nurse and not me. Same timeline of ultrasound (still showed 3 mature follicles), Ovidrel shot and IUI. This failed as well. No changes were made to this plan for the next 3 cycles we completed. All produced the same results and all failed. It was only after the 5th failed IUI that Dr. McCormick scheduled us for another consultation to tell us they obviously didn’t work and our next step should be IVF.

Each appointment was $50. Ultrasounds to check follicle development were $125 I believe. IUI procedure was $350 I believe. Medications were always separate. Trigger shot (Ovidrel) was provided by a mail order pharmacy. The rest (Clomid) I could get at my preferred pharmacy.

Dr. Tarantino was absolutely amazing and explained everything in detail, the thing I didn’t like was I never really saw him after the first two visits everything was done by the staff. I wasn’t sure if everything was going good. It was hard to get ahold of anyone in the office to find out about the embryos.

He is amazing but there needs to be more communication in his office.

We had to do IVF due to the fact that my husband has azoospermia. Dr. Tarantino didn’t give me an aggressive treatment. I was on the lowest dose of medications and was able to make 14 eggs, 12 fertilized, 3 made it to day 5 blastocyst, 2 of them were abnormal and we only had one to transfer. I was on menopur, galirenix, progesterone, estrogen.

Dr. advised it would be safer for me to transfer only 1 at a time because of my age but at the end of the process we could only transfer 1 due to the fact that it was the only one left and it was inconclusive results

Dr. Goodman is VERY intelligent. She knows the terminology and can explain the procedures in a way I could understand them. The only thing I didn’t like is when I started questioning her or what was happening, I felt like she took offense and brushed me off.

Ask questions. If you don’t fully understand something or if you are questioning a procedure or result keep pushing for an explanation instead of getting brushed off.

On cycle day 3, I was prescribed to take Femara (Letrezol) to help with the development of follicles. On cycle day 10, I had to have an ultrasound to check my lining as well as follicle size, I was then given the ok to take Ovidrel to release the egg for fertilization. Forty-eight hours after the Ovidrel, I had my IUI using donor sperm. All 3 IUIs were unsuccessful.

Office visits were between $150-$300 depending on what was discussed and for how long we met with Dr. Goodman. The ultrasounds were $155 each time and the inseminations were $210. The Ovidrel was not covered by insurance and was $92 each shot. The laparoscopy and hysteroscopy to do a chromotibation, removal of endometriosis and a polypectomy was over $2,000.

I was left in the dark most of the time. Often times i felt rushed to even ask questions. If I asked a question sometimes it felt like i should already know the answer to it. Nothing in my protocol changed from the 2 times I did IVF with her even though the first time didnt work at all.

Do your homework and go elsewhere.

I have 2 cycles covered under insurance so I am not sure, but I know they tried to overbill me for everything and I still paid out of pocket costs.

I was urged to do eSET however it didnt matter because I only ever got 1 embryo to make it to blastocyst

Dr. Goodman was very thorough in her work up and explained every procedure and result. It wasn’t until I was nearing my 6th IUI, that I started to feel like I was out of options and instead of fully talking through them, I felt like there wasn’t any hope left.

Get to know her nurses well, because you will not see her much.

Dr. McCormick is very knowledgeable and kind. She explained all treatment options & her recommended course of treatment. The negative is you RARELY ever see her. You never also receive phone calls from her. Only the nurses.

Be prepared to deal with mostly nurses.

Dr. McCormick suggested after all test results came back that we had unexplained infertility. I have PCOS and Stage 2 endometriosis. The doctor offered laparoscopic surgery to clear my tubes but they were not blocked after a hysteroscopy was performed with dye. She suggested we try IUI which we have done 2 times with femara and HCG trigger shot unsuccessfully my husband and I will try one more IUI and then we are moving on to IVF if unsuccessful. I am disappointed that the doctor would not increase my dosage of femara for our last IUI.

Dr. Yeko was pleasant. Being overweight, you are sometimes worried when you see a new physician. He did not address is make us feel unsafe uncomfortable at all. We did feel he was matter of fact. He ordered some tests, some of those didn't give conclusive answer. I feel way better those should have been ordered again. He did not address my husband's low sperm count with suggestions to see a urologist or offers to put on clomid or anything. He gave us a potential treatment course with his recommendations and the odds get thought each treatment held for us.

Trust your gut, be your advocate. It's ok to question any doctor.

We went through two iui cycles that were not successful. We are taking a break to decide if we want to pursue additional treatment.

Insurance covered diagnostic testing, but no coverage for infertility. Prices will vary per person based on number of ultrasounds needed, etc. A complete iui cycle including meds, ultrasounds, and procedure cost us @$850. We have not done ivf yet, but we were told to expect that to be between $15,000-$20,000.

I'm sure dr. Goodman is a wonderful doctor, but other than the consultation, I never want saw her for any three of my procedures. She was pretty dry, never cracked a smile, was not warm. It's a pretty emotional time for most couples, and she didn't really make our first experience comforting.

Pretty cut-and-dry. I had three IUI procedures, all 3 medicated with letrozole. She told the nurse to tell me when to start my meds, when to come in for an ultrasound, and when to have the semen sample there for the procedure

She was very dismissive. Seemed more concerned about the clinics success rates than me as a patient. They might be fine if you don't have a complex situation, but I got the feeling that she was only interested in how much money she could get without jeopardizing success rates.

She will order every possible test up front and if the situation looks complex she will not be sympathetic or helpful.

Although most of my numbers looked good, since my AMH was low she did not want to even try a cycle w my eggs. Recommended going immediately to donor eggs.

I paid for the individual visits and all of the tests up front out of pocket, about $2000 without ever actually getting to an attempted cycle.

Dr. McCormick is very knowledgeable. However, she failed to monitor my IUIs as I think she should. I had 3 failed IUIs under her care. I had to repeat several sonograms because they scheduled my visit at wrong dates. Each sonogram was $150. I was paying out of pockets since my insurance does not cover fertility treatments. The IUIs cost more than expected.

Do your research before you go to this doctor and if you do decide to go see her, make sure you get a diagnosis before starting any treatment.

Dr. McCormick was compassionate which we appreciated. We were disappointed that our treatments were not more aggressive when we were unable to get to where we needed to be for the most successful transfer in our eyes. After we had a failed pregnancy we were saddened that she would not suggest trying anything different for a second round. We are not looking to seek out the same protocol and have found other doctors that are. Overall she was very kind throughout the process and took time to meet with us when we had questions or concerns.

Don't just find out what they can do. Find out what they will do when something isn't going according to plan.

We only had one embryo to transfer however had we had more we were told they would only want to transfer one to eliminate multiple births during a first round of IVF.

Horrible compared to the clinic I came from. No appointments were ever on time. No explaining was done - just verbal directions I had to record myself or try to remember. He wrote out the options with the percentages and just left the decision up to us. I feel like as the doctor he should be telling us what his recommendations are (IUI vs IVF) not just saying here are the stats you can decide.

Be prepared to wait, ask many questions, record everything yourself, and challenge the relaxed attitude if you want results
