He [Dr. Aaron Styer] made special arrangements to do both of my retrievals and made me feel like I was his only patient and paid special attention to me. He checked in several times and made me feel very well cared for . I must say that as a physician, I am very critical by nature. And I felt that every aspect of his care was thoughtful and compassionate...Since I had diminished ovarian reserve, Dr. Styer utilized a estrogen patch protocol with a total of 450 units of Gonal F and Menopur and then an antagonist. Second cycle was same does of meds but a microdose Flare. Very similar high response which a pleasant surpise given my ovarian reserve

Dr Styer was compassionate and a nice doctor. He didn't try any alternative protocols like they did at Boston IVF where I retrieved 8 times the number of eggs. I liked Dr Styer personally but he didn't spend the time to try other protocols...Cheryl was wonderful and compassionate. I loved her. The other nurse was more gruff and not helpful in terms of explaining injections or any part of the process. I can't remember her name but I was less than happy when I would see her at visits
I would go to MGH is you are young and have unexplained fertility. If you are over 37 I would go to Boston IVF or the Sher fertility clinic in NYC. MGH seems less motivated to treat older women creatively compared to other clinics...Cheryl was wonderful and compassionate. I loved her. I wish they had explained options to me such as embryo freezing a year before my treatment when I first visited for information that would have been a decision I would have made earlier or even that financing was available given I was paying out of pocket and it took me a year to save the 12K

The clinic didn't explain any other options beyond fresh transfer. They weren't willing to try other protocols or get to the route of my hormone imbalance like Boston IVF did

He [Dr. Aaron Styer] spent a lot of time talking with my husband and I on several occasions in his office, as well as over the phone...is very compassionate and empathetic. He shared his own personal experience with IVF and the struggles he and his wife went through. He has protocols that are fresh, and isn’t afraid to think outside the box. He takes the patience input genuinely and seriously.
Poor communication with nursing staff [at CCRM Boston]. Specifically, delayed calling in meds to pharmacy and lack of education about medication administration...everything is done on the premise; your doctor does all of your ultra sounds; personal attention; high tech embryology lab. Weaknesses: Communication amongst nursing staff...He [Dr. Aaron Styer] spent a lot of time talking with my husband and I on several occasions in his office, as well as over the phone.

I consider the best way I felt like a human was how Dr. Styer called me when I had issues and really took the time to answer my questions. He also always listened to many of my concerns (even is they were small or insignificant) and made feel like he really advocated for me... He is really enthusiastic about my chances for success and really made me feel like my care was his highest priority. We also had great off topic conversations about the emotional side of fertility. He [Dr. Aaron Styer] was very patient with me!...I am a business professional and I am single and have watched all of my girlfriends get pregnant. I was quite anxious about what Dr. Styer was going to tell me about my eggs. From the first minute of the consult with him, he was so good to reassure me that I did was not obliged to do anything. He really laid out all of the options for fertility preservation and really helped me understand what the real pros and cons of egg freezing were.

He [Dr. Aaron Styer] was very engaging with me and my husband. He spent 20 min at the beginning just asking us questions about who we were and about our struggle with infertility. He really cared about who we were as people...Dr. Styer really wanted us to have the best experience possible. He explained everything in detail and asked for our feedback about our experience in the clinic. He even said "I want your experience to be perfect here". That was so impressive to us!
The nursing team [at CCRM Boston] held our hands and were so compassionate...It was a very beautiful and calm space with soothing colors. Everyone were so polite and really made a point to say hello as we walked down the hall. Very welcoming atmosphere...We plan to do a protocol with Antagonist and Gonal F and Menopur
