How was your experience with Amr Azim?
Dr. Azim and Dr Elassar are both incredibly warm and professional. Always willing to take the time to talk/explain. I felt like they truly cared about my well-being. Communication was easy and frequent - both by phone and email.
What one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Amr Azim?
They don't accept many insurance providers. So be sure to walk thru the financials prior to any procedures.
During treatment, did you feel like you were treated like a number or a human?
I never felt like a number. All staff members knew me by name. I was never sitting in a waiting room with 10 other patients. Usually it was just me or 1 other patient. Doctor make personal calls himself.
Describe the protocols Amr Azim used in your cycles and their degree of success.
I don't remember specifics. In general it was a very traditional retrieval and transfer procedure.
Describe your experience with your nurse.
Adilen is efficient, friendly and professional. She was a very accurate blood-taker!
Describe your experience with New York City IVF.
Convenient location - 2 blocks from E/M subway stop. Office is new and beautiful. I enjoyed sitting in the waiting room (not that I ever sat there long). Tahira, the office manager, is very professional and organized. All prescriptions were called in immediately - and any follow-up needs or questions were handled easily over email.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Amr Azim.
$3000 frozen transfer, +$300 for each ultrasound (I had 2). plus small lab fees that were covered partially by insurance. I don't recall the cost of the egg retrieval in 2014.
