Dr. Duffy talks fast and very medical. He is extremely confident in what he does and it shows. I think slowing down and giving other ways of explaining things would be helpful. He’s easy to talk to you and ask questions but maybe should ask the patients more questions themselves.

To make sure you ask questions, to write down what you learn at each appt so you can really process later.

Had an ultrasound to check on ovaries, then was put on letrolzol (ovulation meds) for 6 days, back for an ultrasound to see the follicles and take a trigger shot, and then the IUI procedure took place the next day

Dr. Duffy is compassionate and up front. The upfront part is extremely important to me because I am a very to the point person, I don’t like sugar coating or can be, could be or we will see. The previous clinic I went to took 6 months and 1 surgery to give me a ‘maybe’ diagnosis of endometriosis. Dr. Duffy looked at the surgical notes and did one ultrasound and stated that it was endometriosis “. I understand the need for most doctors to be absolutely sure, but there is no need to keep the patient in limbo. I love how honest Dr. Duffy is and I appreciate his honesty.

We haven’t done a cycle yet, we are running some tests which my old clinic ran but again the notes in my file were non-specific.

My first appointment there was no co-pay with my insurance, with the next since there was a scan, I had to pay my insurance co-pay.

He was very kind and we enjoyed having him I would highly recommend him I wish he had not left the practice we wanted to use him again. He always took his time and talked and explained things. I did not feel rushed with him or like we were just a number.

He’s awesome I wish he had stayed at the Firm because we would like to use him again in the future. He was my favorite doctor there!

Medicine first- negative 3 IUIs with clomid and last one with clomid and menopur. The last one resulted in twins, but one was lost at 9 weeks. 1st IUI resulted in ectopic pregnancy.

Dr. Duffy is very smart and very confident. He is willing to spend extra time with you to help you feel comfortable with the process. Sometimes he does talk very fast, so you do have to pay close attention and ask questions. He is very easy to deal with and I felt very good being treated by him.

Sometimes he is overly optimistic about the timing or scheduling to get you in, but you have to double check with his nurses because they are the ones that really know more in this area.

First I had a surgery with Dr. Duffy. He diagnosed me with uterine fibroids. Now I am in the process of freezing my eggs. So far he has prescribed me with Menopur, Cetrotide, Gonal F, and Lupron trigger.

Egg cryopreservation was 7,950 included everything except meds. The medications were almost 4,000 from the pharmacy I used.

I have not made it to this step.

Dr. Duffy is a brilliant fertility doctor. He stays up to date with the current research and applies it to his treatment. He was often rushed with appointments and late, but would take the time to stay and answer all my questions. He sometimes forgot the plan we discussed previously, so I would find myself having to remind him of things we previously discussed more than once. He was mostly receptive to any additional testing I wanted, even if he didn’t completely recommend it.

Be prepared for your appointments to take a long time since he is often late. Be prepared for him to talk fast and seem rushed, but jump in and ask all your questions and he will take the time to answer them. Do your research and advocate for yourself and you’ll have a great working relationship.

For egg stimulation, we used menopur, gonal F and cetrotide. Due to my lower AMH levels, we only retrieved 9 eggs, 3 of which made it to day 5 blast and only 1 was pgs normal. Before transfer, I did a ERA cycle with the receptiva dx biopsy with a protocol of estrogen, endometrin suppositories, and progesterone in oil.

We were lucky enough to have fertility benefits through our insurance, but I was surprised by the amount of tests and procedures not covered by insurance. We ended up spending tens of thousands of dollars on medications and testing, equal the the same amount that people pay for IVF out of pocket.

Dr. Duffy is kind, compassionate and extremely caring. He takes his to time answer any questions you may have and is very thorough in explaining everything. You can tell he is very passionate about helping his patients.

Ask questions and trust him. He knows what he’s doing.

Dr. Duffy believes I was misdiagnosed with PCOS by my previous doctor after going over my test results. Being that my AMH levels are very high, he said I had time so he suggested to do 1 or 2 cycles of IUI’s before going down the IVF route. The day of the IUI, he examined my husband’s sperm and it came back very low. Which was a surprised because my husband has had 2 sperm analysts that not came back normal in the past. He suggested we move forward with the IUI because even though count was extremely low(200k), a small chance of pregnancy is better than no chance at all. We moved forward and Dr. Duffy scheduled another semen analysis for my husband the following week. Those results came in higher but are still a little low(10million). Dr. Duffy requested blood tests on my husband to see if their are any other issues and we are waiting on those. Meanwhile the IUI was unsuccessful but we are moving forward with a second round of IUI because we don’t want to waste a cycle. By the time, of my cycle day 12 ovulation ultrasound, my husband’s test results will come back and we’ll know if he has any hormonal issues that’s causing his low sperm count. If on the day of our IUI, the sperm count comes in extremely low again, Dr. Duffy will go over our options then.

I believe the cost is very reasonable. It’s been less expensive than the last doctor I saw but with a far better experience.

I was told my friends how uncomfortable/painful the HSG would be but when Dr. Duffy did the procedure he was very attentive on how I was feeling and what I was experiencing, the catheter placement was completely painless & he talked to though every step, he showed me the images and made sure I had no pain the entire time. During our weekly ultrasounds he is very attentive and communicates everything he sees and all his concerns and any potential risks that may arise in my treatment plan. I feel very comfortable asking questions and I know I will get an answer I understand. His bedside manner is superb! I’m very happy with my experience at the Firm!

Don’t wait schedule your appointment but save, it’s expensive. I did not realize how often I would be in the office and I love it because I feel like every week I get to be updated and informed on the process but those weekly visits add up and it gets expensive quick. But the experience is worth it! I have only positive experiences so far! We waited 2 months to make our first appointment because we were nervous and didn’t know what to expect, I regret waiting! This has been great so far!

I had bloodwork which included hormone levels, metabolic panels, vitamin levels, standard genetic testing and specific genetic testing because I was born with a birth defect, . My husband had a semen analysis and genetic testing/labs. I had an HSG. My labs showed I am not a carrier for any major genetic abnormalities, my vitamin D level was very low & confirmed I do have PCOS. My HSG showed my tubs were open and not blocked. My husband’s labs came back normal and so did his semen analysis. My weekly ultrasounds showed my follicles we’re not matured until about the 3/4th round of clomid then I had two mature follicles and was given a trigger shot to ovulate. Unfortunately timed intercourse was unsuccessful.

It’s expensive but realistic, all their prices are available on their website. An ultrasound costs $125, that’s fairly cheap, the same ultrasound in a outpatient setting is around $1000+. The worst part is that many health insurances do not cover infertility, like my insurance. Unfortunately it’s all out of pocket expenses.

I have many tiny follicles and Dr. Duffy is concerned about high order multiples, he would like me to consider IVF so he can control the amount of embryos. He shared that I can choose one embryo transfer or two. Anything else is unethical and not worth the risk of high order multiples.

When I first saw Dr. Duffy I had very larger fibroids. Dr. Duffy was able to preserve my fertility. The other doctors I had consults with were talking about a hysterotomy. He was very skilled and was able to remove all 11 of my fibroids and keep my uterus intact.

Take notes during the appointment. He goes over a lot of information and it is hard to remember it all.

Now, I am in the start of the egg freezing process with him. He wanted me to get a myomectomy first and then proceed to the egg freezing. He also suggested I freeze embryo and not just my eggs due to my age. He thought that would give my more of a chance at success when I come back to unfreeze.

The egg freezing with my eggs and with an embryo is 10,050. The medicine was an additional 4,000.

I have not done this.

Dr Duffy is very smart, educated and passionate about fertility. It shows in his detailed communication at each meeting. He does tend to talk fast and a lot so asking questions and getting clarity is important.

Make sure to ask questions whenever you have them. Its easy to leave an appointment without asking anything because of the trust and open ears when he is talking, you tend to forget.

We ended up miscarrying at 8 weeks with our one normal embryo from that cycle and although we are sad, we also are moving forward because Dr. Duffy has gotten us further than any other doctor. We trust him and know he will work his hardest to get us the baby we have been waiting for.

Sometimes dr. Duffy can run behind for appointments but it’s only because he spends as much time as needed with each patient.

We used birth control followed by gonal f and menopur with our stims cycle. Dr. Duffy had us add in human growth hormone to help with egg quality.

Since we have been with dr. Duffy, our insurance coverage has kicked in and has substantially helped with costs.

We came to Dr. Duffy after 3 attempts at another clinic. We had already been through 4 untested embryos, resulting in a chemical and a missed miscarriage. Dr. Duffy recommended PGS screening and the ERA for us immediately. We ended up miscarrying at 8 weeks with our one normal embryo from that cycle with no reason why. Dr. Duffy proceeded by performing a D&C surgery on me the first week of April. We mourned our loss but wanted to remain positive and move forward to try again. We went through two more IVF egg retrievals with the clinic over the summer, neither of them resulting in a normal embryo. One of the cycles was a mini-IVF and the other was a lupron-flare cycle, both were new protocols to us and looking back, not the best protocols for an endometriosis patient. At this time, we asked Dr. Duffy if we should try the ReceptivaDX biopsy to rule out endometriosis. Having no closure from our 3 previous losses, we were willing to try any test possible for an answer. Dr. Duffy did not think we needed to do the test and did not think that was the cause of my issues. He kept circling back to an egg quality issue. Therefore, he felt moving to donor eggs would be the next best protocol. This was a heavy pill to swallow. I am only 31 years old and have normal AMH, FSH, estrogen, progesterone, and every other level. The Recurrent Loss Panel also showed no discrepancies in my bloodwork. However, with the idea of a baby in mind, we proceeded with the donor egg route. We moved on to transfer the two blastocysts created with donor eggs. Once again, we remained positive and hopeful. Dr. Duffy completed the transfer and one week later I had a positive at home pregnancy test. We were very excited and did not take another test until beta day. However, my beta had dropped to show a chemical pregnancy. We did not understand why my body rejected these two embryos. Dr. Duffy even had me on the antihistamine protocol for this transfer with a series of blood thinner shots, antihistamine medication, estrogen and an increased dose of progesterone. We went back to the drawing board and had our re-consult with Dr. Duffy (again). Now, he wanted to perform the ReceptivaDX biopsy and thought I may actually have endometriosis. From the literature in the brochure and on the ReceptivaDX website, it sounded like I would fit the bill. I was unexplained and had a history of 4 miscarriages now within a 2 year span. This is not a normal diagnosis for a 31 year old healthy female. I was a bit frustrated, as I had requested to do the biopsy before diving into donor eggs and was told it was not necessary. We were glad to see Dr. Duffy had warmed to the idea though. We proceeded with the biopsy in November. Three days later my results came back and much to Dr. Duffy's surprise, I had a level of 3.6, indicating that endometriosis was most likely present in my body. Dr. Duffy was shocked and I believe some of his staff were also surprised. We immediately moved to discuss laproscopic surgery to remove the endometriosis. Dr. Duffy explained he would not know what stage it was until he went in for surgery. The lupron depot protocol was not necessary, as we had no embryos left to transfer. I also was very ready to get to the root of the problem and remove it. I was ready to fight whatever was standing in the way of us and our long-awaited baby. Dr. Duffy performed the surgery on December 12th and diagnosed me as stage 2 endometriosis. The photos were appalling. We cannot believe how long I went undiagnosed. We are happy to have removed it by a talented doctor such as Dr. Duffy but we are also frustrated that it took so long to get here and that we lost so much in the process.

Dr. Duffy frequently runs behind for appointments. Better time management overall is needed in his office. Be your own advocate, because sometimes the doctors are not aggressive enough in treatment protocols.

He’s amazing! He takes time to talk to us. He’s always ready to discuss next steps. When our first iui wasn’t successful he adjusted all of my doses and the time frame. He was definitely trying to solve the issue. We are excited to complete our first ivf procedure within the next couple months.

He completed so much bloodwork for me at first. A precious doctor (brown fertility) diagnosed me with PCOS. After the blood results came back Dr Duffy stayed he would have never diagnosed me with that and the medication was a waste. He’s adjusted every cycle so I would become pregnant!

Each iui procedure was $395.00.

Dr. Duffy is kind but factual. He was always straight with me without making me feel uncomfortable. I almost always was seen by Dr. Duffy himself and when I wasn't able to see him he made sure I was aware of whi I would be seeing and reassured me of their ability.

Ask questions. He will tell you what you need to know.

I was fortunate enough to have won a free IVF cycle from FIRM. I paid for medications and anesthesia totaling approximately $6000.00

I was given the facts for transferring 1 or 2. Dr Duffy was clear that it was mine and my husband's choice while also offering his professional opinion.

He is very knowledgeable but majority of the time he seemed scattered and unprepared. After a failed egg retrieval, he was unable to discuss the results effectively with us since he did not review the notes.

He is nice and knowledgeable but you need to be on top of things.

I was placed on a lupron flare protocol with human growth hormone to give me the best chances. Ultrasounds looked good up until egg retrieval, which resulted in less eggs than expected. Unfortunately the eggs were of poor quality and did not form any viable embryos.

There was always a wait at the South office as opposed to the Downtown office.

No insurance coverage.

They prefer to transfer 1-2 embryos.

I saw Dr. Duffy after I saw the head of the practice. Dr.Duffy has been so proactive in my care and has done everything in his powers to help my husband and I build our future family. After seeing the head of the practice and then switching to Dr. Duffy it has been a positive change for our family. Dr. Duffy has found multiple things that the other provider skipped over. Dr. Duffy never makes you feel awkward in appointment and treats with lots of care.

Trust his process. HE truly cares and wants whats best fort you.

I was diagnosed with Uterine septum. Dr. Duffy set up my schedule and stated it was the best for me and my future family.

Dr. Duffy works hard to help you get pregnant. He tries to figure out what might be causing the issue and find the right treatment to help. After the trigger shot with the first IUI I developed a cyst. He explained everything and showed it to me on the ultrasound. I love that about him. He always includes me on what he is seeing on the screen. I decided to take birth control for 2 weeks to help the cyst shrink. I went back in for another ultrasound and it had shrunk. I will begin clomid on day 3 of my cycle and menopur on days 9-11. The first IUI with him was just clomid. So, this round he wanted to do a little more aggressive meds.

Understand that no treatment is 100%. He will work to figure out the problem, but there are so many unknowns, it’s hard for him to know exactly what the cause of your infertility is. But, he will keep assessing your situation in hopes to find it.

We began with 100 mg of clomid for 7 days. I had an 18mm follicle on day 12 so I did the trigger shot that night and went in for the IUI on day 14. This cycle will include clomid days 3-8 and menopur injectables days 9-11. He would like me to have 3 good follicles, so upping the meds will hopefully help with that.

Dr. Duffy is an extremely educated RE who is also extremely compassionate and warm. As a more sensitive individual, I needed a RE with a warmer bedside manner and I believe I've found that with Dr. Duffy. I always feel as though he has enough time to answer any and all of my questions and I never feel rushed. He is always very positive about the course of treatment, which I appreciate.

Be sure to prepare your questions in advanced. While he does a decent job educating you about the course of treatment you will likely have other questions that he won't address unless you bring them up.

I'm still under treatment but Dr. Duffy reviewed my records from my OB and determined I had unexplained infertility. My husband already had a SA so he sent me for more Bloodwork. Afterwords he wanted to do an IUI (I had two previously with my OB). My husband and I felt like another was a waste of time so we asked to go straight to IVF and Dr. Duffy agreed. We are about to start medication for IVF and hoping all goes well!

IUI ~ $700 IVF ~ $9000 - $25000 We are choosing to do the 3 cycle IVF package at $18,000 and PGS testing at around $4000.

Dr Duffy is a generally kind man that is knowledgeable about his profession. On most Occassions I feel he is slightly rushed, however, he listens to my concerns as long as I’m forward enough to stop him from leaving. He is the 2nd Dr I’ve seen at this clinic, and while he is a vast improvement from my 1st experience, sometimes I feel like he is board or complacent with my treatment. Overall, I choose to continue to see him because I have faith in his knowledge & we did get pregnant once under his care... it ended in loss.... but we are getting ready to try again.

Ask him to explain what he is telling you if you don’t understand... sometimes it’s like he forgets to explain things where anyone could understand them- but answers questions well. Don’t be too timid.

I began treatment with metformin and timed intercourse. We conceived and experienced our 1st loss. Then we did Clomid 50mg cd5-9 with Time Intercourse again. Upped Clomid to 100mg cd 3-9 + IUI. Upped Clomid to 150mg cd3-9 + IUI, positive pregnancy test & beta. Then miscarriage. We decided to take a break trying after this loss.

My insurance pays for anything diagnostic - my copay is $40. Any fertility treatment is not covered, $125 for trigger shot, $30 for Clomid per cycle, $165 for hcg blood draws, I’m unsure how much each baseline and follicle check u/s was- I believe $130. IUI was $390 plus all the other costs mentioned above.

Dr. Duffy was the first Dr. to diagnose my husband with severe male factor infertility. At the time this was a lot to take in and very emotional. I felt he was too blunt (he isn't really) and I wanted a second opinion. We ended up doing IVF at another clinic. Through the years of this journey I've grown a thicker skin and learned blunt is good. We are now back at FIRM and back with Dr. Duffy set up to try IUI using donor (a known to us donor) sperm. After being at 2 clinics I've realized Dr. Duffy (and perhaps all the doctors at FIRM) are more aggressive and more willing to try new treatments/tests than our previous clinic. This is something we need right now... aggression. Dr. Duffy is also very curious and excitable and truly wants to get to the bottom of the problems.

Dr. Duffy is very knowledgeable, kind and curious. He's a bit hyper and can delivery news (sometimes bad news!) in a way that feels lacking in care but it's not. Sometime's he talks a bit fast and can run through the course of action quick and he'll need to repeat again. Just ask him to.

We are about to do our first IUI at FIRM with Dr. Duffy. We are doing a pretty straight forward medicated IUI cycle which I'm in the middle of. We did however put the cycle on hold to get rid of an ovarian cyst that was found during a visit last month. Two weeks of BC did the job and the IUI is on track to happen soon.

Dr. Duffy is all around a pleasant person to be around. He acts like your coach and pumps you up to feel confident that you can get a win. When and if things don’t go as planned, he is supportive and compassionate. He works with Boyt my husband and I to help us understand the Science, physiology, and lays out the path to have a successful pregnancy. My first cycle I worked with a few other doctors in the practice and wish that I hadn’t but I didn’t know I had the option to solely request Dr Duffy. He has a special way to help you remain positive when with others you left feeling hopeless.

Do your best to schedule all your appointments With him rather than others in The office. Ivf is a tough journey and you want to go through it with a doctor that is a champion on your side through the entire thing.

I have low AMH/DOR. We went with max doses of Gonal F and Menopure and Stimmed for 14 days, I was a slow responder. We retrieved 5 eggs. 4 blatocysts came from that. 2 transfers, 2 embryos each time both a pregnancy was achieved. The first got all the way to ultrasound to find a miscarriage and the second was a chemical pregnancy. We completed an ERA , awaiting results and currently on meds to grow new eggs. Similar protocol but added HGH.

3 cycles was $15,500- meds separate. Frozen transfers are about $2500 each, not including meds

The max they will transfer is 2. Reason was the increased number of embryos doesn’t substantially increase your chances but absolutely increases chances of multiples and health issues for mom.

Dr. Duffy is one of the best doctors I have seen. He is very compassionate and encouraging. I started seeing him the third year into my journey and I was a nervous wreck and depressed. He was so calming and he believed in me even when I didn't believe in my own journey. I remember after my HSG when It was discovered that I had Ashermans syndrome and my cervix was blocked he explained everything with pictures and explained exactly what will need to be done. He also told us that my case was difficult but he will give it his all. He consulted with one of his other partners and decided that they would do my surgery together and it was a success. After the surgery I was so genuinely happy for us and being able to move on to our first IVF cycle. During my first cycle h again explained everything in detail and listened to all my concerns during the process and always addressed all my list of questions with no hesitation. I never felt rushed. One thing that some may see as a negative but i don't mind is the wait time but that's because he never rushes his patients and he will talk to you and explain every single detail with pictures and videos and answer all your questions do appointments are never 10 minutes. Due to scheduling he was unable to do my retrieval but he called me the next day to check on but he was able to do my transfer. I had a positive pregnancy test but a few weeks later I had a miscarriage. After 4 years of trying, stage IV endometriosis, uterine fibroids I was completely devastated. I was depressed and it was hard but he continued to be positive and together we discussed different options and new protocol. Before my next cycle he wanted to repeat the HSG in which was discovered that I have hydrosalpinx in both tubes... and yet here we are another setback. Again he sat with us for a complete hour discussing different options until we made a decision. Although I am still in my TTC journey I would recommend Dr. Duffy to everyone. He listens to his patients and value your input and EXPLAINS EVERYTHING! He is calm and so compassionate and excellent bedside manner. I never leave an appointment feeling confuse about anything.

The journey is not easy but he makes it less intimidating. He truly cares about all his patients and completely invest his time and effort in you and works hard to help you reach your goal of becoming parents. Don't be afraid to ask questions because he answers them.

I will try my best to remember dosages. I was on birth control for a few weeks then I stimmed with Gonal F (I believe 600) and menopur 75, halfway through I added cetrotide (don't remember the dose) During retrieval 9 eggs were retrieved and 7 were fertilized from left ovary. Due to my severe endometriosis my right ovary was severely adhered to the back of my uterus and none of the eggs were able to be retrieved, total disappointment. (Plan to address this issue during my next surgery procedure along with the blocked tubes). 4 made it to day 5 for freezing and sent for PGS testing. only 1 came back normal (Heartbreak!!!) changes that will be made for next cycle will be adding growth hormone due to poor egg quality. Preparing for transfer I remember being on endometrin supp. Positive pregnancy test but low beta although doubling. The day before my first ultrasound I started bleeding.

I do not remember exactly but the cycle was $6,900 and transfer was $2,500

My doctor prefer and recommends single embryo transfers but said we can possibly transfer 2 next time. The office recommends one at a time though.

Dr. Duffy is very personable and knowledgeable. The only downside for treatment with Dr. Duffy is that he is almost always running late. I know hat he spends extra time with his patients and answers questions, so I tended to overlook his lack of punctuality.

Prepare to wait awhile at appointments.

I was 350iu Gonal F, 150iu Menopur, Cetrotide, and Lupron trigger. I don't remember any rationale given for this particular protocol.

My total costs at FIRM was around $8000, plus $4000 meds at an outside facility.

FIRM typically transfers one under 35 and two over 35. One was recommended for me at 33, but transfer isn't for another few weeks.

Dr. Duffy was very easy to talk to. Any questions I had concerning anything he made sure they were answered. He gave me copies of my information when needed. When going over labs he broke everything down and explained it to me. He is a awesome doctor with an awesome team of nurses.

Be as kind as he is. Always ask questions if you don’t understand

Dr. Duffy wanted me to do 1 round of ivf with icsi due to male factor. Due to the cost of treatment and insurance not covering, I have not been able to proceed with treatment.

For ivf it was 8,900. For mock ivf transfer it was $470 and for regular visits it was $35

Dr. Duffy is very thorough when explaining the step to diagnose infertility. He will walk through how each process works and why he wants to go a certain route. Due to his thoroughness, he tends to run behind schedule.

Be patient on wait times.

For one cycle of IVF, including medicine, we have spent $15,000.

Dr. Duffy is amazing. He makes sure you completely understand everything that needs to be done, from the first appointment where he breaks down the whole reproductive process to every detail of receiving a IUI. He makes you feel like you are more than just a number and that he is there 100% to make sure you get pregnant successfully.

Be patient, have faith and pray a lot!

On day 12 had an ultrasound and then did Orvidrel injection on day 15 because the follicles weren't measuring to the maturity that Dr. Duffy wanted them. On day 16 we went in for IUI. Resulted in a chemical miscarriage. 2nd round of IUI: clomid 100mg days 3-8, went in for ultrasound on day 12 and the follicles were only half the size the needed to be, 3more days of clomid 150mg. Went in again on day 19 and they were to maturity they needed so they gave me a hcg shot(unsure of brand since they did in office) and we went back on day 20 for IUI. Resulted in a negative pregnancy.
