He [Dr. Nash] was calm and compassionate but when I would become upset (cry) he'd want me to collect myself before leaving and entering the waiting room...He gave me a false hope of success. I was told I'd have only a 1% chance of natural pregnancy and a 50-60% chance with IVF with ICSI. After the failed IVF he said my chances dropped to 30% and I'd have better success with donor eggs...Dr Nash told me I would never qualify for a guarantee program because the "house" always wins...Dr Nash only works in the Westerville office two days a week, when I was a patient there. So if your schedule doesn't match you'll have to see another doctor and I didn't feel connected to him due to this.
I had problems with the clinic [Reproductive Gynecology] sending the proper documents to my insurance provider. Also, they missed crediting my account with payments and they charged my insurance for office visits during my IVF cycle that were supposed to be included in my fees (Already paid for upfront) and then when confronted about a possible refund they said the extra fees went to a balance prior to IVF that I wasn't aware of...My spouse and I had to go to an IVF training class but it was handled by another doctor. Majority of all my IVF visits and retrieval were handled by another doctor at the office.
How was your experience with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr Nash only works in the Westerville office two days a week, when I was a patient there. So if your schedule doesn't match you'll have to see another doctor and I didn't feel connected to him due to this. He was calm and compassionate but when I would become upset (cry) he'd want me to collect myself before leaving and entering the waiting room. I didn't like this because the office only showed one side to treatment. He gave me a false hope of success. I was told I'd have only a 1% chance of natural pregnancy and a 50-60% chance with IVF with ICSI. After the failed IVF he said my chances dropped to 30% and I'd have better success with donor eggs. I felt cheated out of money and hope. I should have been told more about donor eggs and higher chances than taking my money.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Unless your schedule and cycle match to his schedule don't expect him to be at every appointment.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Some of the nurses were not very friendly and while Dr. Nash showed some empathy, nothing felt specialized to my needs. Everything felt routine, from start to finish during my time I never felt they solved my infertility issues and gave me fake hope.
Describe the protocols David Nash used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
Due to my failed IUI attempts I was told IVF with ICSI was my best chance. I went on birth control then high doses of injectables including progesterone shots. I was told this was almost normal protocol except due to egg equality was taking some higher doses to simulate my ovaries. I was told about overstimulated ovaries and signs. My spouse and I had to go to an IVF training class but it was handled by another doctor. Majority of all my IVF visits and retrieval were handled by another doctor at the office.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility. (Assigned nurse: Bethleen)
Bethleen was the IVF nurse. She had printed calendars with medication and directions for me and my understanding had them for each patient. But at times things felt rushed. For my other procedures there was no assigned nurse. Some of the other nursing staff were nice and others were rude and short - Chanel wasn't very compassionate. The medical assistant that took blood samples was very nice and sincerely. The front office staff was normally polite but at times they'd have private conversations leaving clients waiting in lounge area because they didn't feel like greeting them.
Describe your experience with Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
I would not recommend this clinic. At the time I did IVF there was no guarantee and now they have a guarantee program. Plus, Dr Nash told me I would never qualify for a guarantee program because the "house" always wins. That statement alone proves this clinic preys on the despair couples go through trying to get pregnant. Dr. Akain (might be incorrectly spelling) is the only doctor I would recommend others to use. He handled almost all my procedures and IVF but I felt he was only following Dr Nash's notes verses him handling my care. Also, for new patients - due your research. Make sure the doctor is giving you best case and worst case scenario. Also, some of the office staff and nurses were rude and made you feel dumb for asking for more clarification. If any staff member makes you feel that way find another office that treats you right. My opinion might be biased because I left without any success. I know if I left pregnant I would probably have a more positive outlook. But after my negative blood test they didn't have any options but adoption or donor. They left it to me to make a decision.
Describe the costs associated with your care under David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
IUI $500 with HCG shot ($50). Two IUI's $750 plus HCG (extra). One cycle of IVF (self pay) $7500. ICSI $1500, IVF meds (majority came thru Walgreens specialty store, I think I paid $4500 in total), storing embryos was $500 and $475/year there after. (Disclaimer numbers might be slightly off due to memory as this was 4 yrs ago). Laparoscopy to remove endometriosis cost me $3500 out of pocket after insurance. Typical office visits were around $300 after insurance. Saline ultrasound bill was around $500 after insurance.
Describe David Nash's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
I only had 3 embryos that made it to Day 3 and the doctor told me of the best 2 and due to my age at the time (30) we went with 2 transfers.
What specific things went wrong at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?

I have PCOS so I tend to overstimulate on injections. The protocol [with Dr. David Nash] was adjusted as need be to ensure I had the most umber of follicles safely for my IVF cycle. Once When doing IUI, I had too many follicles so it was recommended we try timed intercourse instead of the IUI...He did the proper tests and surgeries so we didn’t waste our money on treatments that would not have worked due to inaccurate diagnoses. I highly recommend he and his colleagues at RGI.
Everyone [at Reproductive Gynecology] was great...I had a calendar that outlined approximate times ultrasounds would be completed, so I could let me employer know. They were flexible about what time I could come in since I live an hour away from the clinic...The wait time for an appointment varied, but was never unreasonable. Sometimes you may not see your primary doctor at an appointment, but all the doctors I encountered were great. They all have the same goal, and that’s to get you pregnant.
How was your experience with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Dr. Nash helped my husband and I conceive our twins through IVF after 3 years of fertility treatments. He did the proper tests and surgeries so we didn’t waste our money on treatments that would not have worked due to inaccurate diagnoses. I highly recommend he and his colleagues at RGI.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
Never give up! One day, when you get your miracle baby(babies) you will have peace and understanding of everything you went through and why. If it weren’t for my miscarriages and struggles to conceive, I wouldn’t have my twins.

IVF: $10,000 Other treatments we did before moving on to IVF added up to an additional $8-10,000
Describe David Nash's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
I overstimulated during my IVF cycle and had OHSS. Dr. Nash recommended we only transfer 1 embryo due to this. I was upset because we wanted to transfer 2 so badly. On the day of transfer, my ovaries had calmed down significantly, so they gave us the option to transfer 2 embryos. We were so happy and of course said yes. Our fraternal twins came 9 months later!

[Dr. David Nash] is kind but very to the point. Never tried to make a personal connection with my story. Often left unsure of what’s next and also not sure the whole process and details. My first iui the did not tell me time mattered of when I gave my trigger shot, just tonight. Second time told me exact time and was very frustrated...He will only transfer 1 egg
[Reproductive Gynecology clinic] Strengths are schedule check ups, weekend appointments and relaxed environment. Dr Jane performed my iui’s during my second iui he let my husband push the sperm in. It was amazing!! Weakness staff friendliness, feels like a circus sometimes...more patients more $$...One nurse is super grumpy. Main nurse is great but has so much going on that there is no personal connection.

Dr. Nash is very friendly and compassionate. He has a lot of patients so he is very quick with each visit. He does a good job at explaining what is going on and what he is seeing and making you feel comfortable during each visit.... In the beginning I had blocked tubes so i underwent surgery to clear the blockage and remove cysts on my ovaries. Dr Nash gave his approval to try naturally after 6 months we have start clomid and ovidrel HCG shot each month. We are still going through these treatments.
They [Reproductive Gynecology] have made the process very smooth through check in to check out. The front desk staff is very friendly and will answer any questions you may have. If they do not know the answer they will be sure to find it out for you and let you know before you leave. The office as inviting atmosphere however it can be very busy so seating can be limited at certain times of the day.

He [Dr. Nash] has a good sense of humor. Doesn't try to use big words when explaining what is going to happen/happening. He realizes this is something we really want and doesn't make us wait, gets down to business, but doesn't pressure.... I felt very comfortable with him.... Relax, ask questions, and breathe. He is very nice and will answer or re explain anything you wanna ask, or don't understand.
Very clean, warm, well decorated, and very friendly front desk girls [Reproductive Gynecology], also. I felt very calm when in the waiting room in Akron. Comfortable chairs (very important when having uncomfortable tests done).... Jen is a great nurse. I also had one who held my hand during a procedure that was uncomfortable.... We applied for compassionate care and were able to save 50% on medications, plus 20%-30% through becoming customers of compassionate care....
How was your experience with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
I felt very comfortable with him. I've seen another "skinny mini" doctor with whom I did feel judged (completely different clinic, in different city). I'm not a small girl, so my BMI number always was in the back of my mind. Dr. Nash made me feel more comfortable about that number, and the process in general.

He [Dr. David Nash] can be blunt and tells you maybe not what you want to hear but he still does it in a way that doesn’t seem as harsh as I’ve seen from other doctors...We did 2 rounds of IVF using a strong protocol since I would not be a good responder. The 2nd round we added growth hormone to try to improve egg quality. The 2nd round was actually less successful then the 1st but neither resulted in quality embryos and only the first resulted in a transfer with nothing to freeze.
[Reproductive Gynecology] really is a great clinic my only issue is there unwillingness to look at more than just what they use as protocol. I’m in the healthcare field and did a lot of research and whenever I brought up possible options I felt quickly dismissed...They [nurses] took the time to explain things and we’re compassionate when dealing with a very emotional patient. This experience is definitely a rollercoaster and they helped guide me through it.

[Dr. Nash was] Friendly and nice. Didn't seem to have other coarse of actions besides clomid/letrozole and trigger. Went straight to IVF quote instead of trying other things. My follicles were 27-29 which may have meant not good numbers. Seemed rushed many times...IUI day 14. Always negative pregnancy. Letrozole...day 14 iui. Always negative pregnancy...Felt rushed to leave after IUIs.
Tried to schedule another cycle of IUI [with Reproductive Gynecology]. Had to come in for labwork and no one would call me back. The nurse was rude. On the voicemail it didn't want details just name and phone number to call back. Ultimately by the time they called back had missed the whole cycle and would have to wait...Gets the ball rolling as far as scheduling hsg, semen analysis, lab work, surgeries

Tried to schedule another cycle of IUI. Had to come in for labwork and no one would call me back. The nurse was rude. On the voicemail it didn't want details just name and phone number to call back. Ultimately by the time they called back had missed the whole cycle and would have to wait.

He [Dr. David Nash] put us through the appropriate testing and got us a lot of answers and set out a plan for us. He made sure we understand and took time with us to explain. He gave us all of our options along with success rates and pricing info...We haven’t started any treatments yet due to covid-19. We will be starting our first IUI treatment when this is over.
[Reproductive Gynecology is] Clean, small, and organized. Very welcoming!! The front desk manager is amazing. They always make sure you know what your cost is going to be and make sure you’re aware. We had a lot of testing done and they knew me by name after my second name. I loved the personal feeling!

Dr. Nash is very experienced and business oriented. He shows kindness but rushes through appointments. He will change his action plan for optimal success and takes your concerns into consideration...Did hysteroscopy and laparoscopic surgery due to conflicting test info. Have done 1 round iui but covid has paused further treatment...

All the doctors in the office are highly recognized for their success in fertility treatment. Weakness: hard to get ahold of front desk for initial appt and questions

He [Dr. David Nash] will answer anything you want to know. He won’t hide things from you as he wants you to know what to expect...always is kind and sincere...has been amazing through this whole process. He is honest but kind. He knows this process is hard and he does everything he can to help get you through it. He did all the procedures himself and even my tube removal surgery. We feel 100% safe in his hands...
My nurse and my coordinator helped me get through this process [at Reproductive Gynecology]. You can call or email them at any time and they will get right back with you. I probably asked 1,000 questions and they never seemed annoyed or frustrated with me...We had to pay $17,500. That was with PGS testing and everything that went with the retrieval and transfer...The clinic is amazing. The lab is fantastic and everything is done in house. Labcorp does the blood results but they draw it on sight and all the procedures are done on site. We had to go off site once for surgery but it was still Dr. Nash doing the surgery and they made sure my insurance covered where we were going.

He [Dr. David Nash] prescribed me the lowest dose of clomid to start my first 3 cycles of iui. We werent successful. The next steps were to do more testing a pelvic test but opted to go for ivf instead...He was great and caring. Upfront about my chances. He didnt treat me like a number. He listened to my concerns. He wanted to try the next step of IVF but I decided to go elsewhere for affordability...He answered all my wuestions and was very upfront with me on my chances of conceiving
They [staff at Reproductive Gynecology] want to keep things moving. Very caring staff. Dont be afraid to ask questions. The nurses are great. The doctors are caring and really want to help you with your goal of creating a family. Make sure your proactive with your treatment...About 1000 per iui...When we went to the required class the nurse said they would only transfer one embryo. Thats part of the reason i wanted to find a doctor that would be willing to do 2.

Dr. Nash was always so nice and friendly. He gave us information in a blunt, but caring way. He never gave us false hope. I feel like my treatment plan was very tailored to my needs. He is extremely knowledgeable. He was very compassionate when I had my miscarriage and when he did my D&C...We started out with lots of testing to confirm I did have PCOS and infertility. We did IUI once and it didn’t work. We also did injectibles at home. We discussed IVF at one point and he understood that we wanted to try IUI again. We did and it was successful.
Every staff member [at Reproductive Gynecology] had an amazing, caring bedside manner...The clinic is very organized and welcoming. They do a lot of tests and procedures in their clinic so it was nice to just be at one place for the course of our treatment. I never had to wait very long in the waiting room...The nursing staff is wonderful! They were always so caring and understanding. They always were very positive and it really felt like they were ‘cheering’ us on.

We would frequently leave his office thinking we were going to meet with him [Dr. Nash] again only to be told we were done. We would be confused as to what the next step would be and would have to schedule another appointment. Overall, I feel like Dr Nash knows what he is doing but he doesn’t have quite the bedside manner I had hoped.... He only does late appointments one day a week.... Dr Nash seemed to be spread thin between offices.

Very kind doctor [Dr. David Nash], just uses a standard formula for patients instead of listening to their cycle. I was also reminded of my age way too often...Dr Nash is very knowledgeable and compassionate towards his patients...[Protocal] Call on cycle day 1, go for baseline and blood work. Get meds. Go for mid cycle ultrasound. Trigger shot. IUI. 2 week wait.
All the nurses [at Reproductive Gynecology] were very nice...This office billed my insurance and then I paid them monthly for the remainder costs...I recommend RGI for basic fertility needs for young couples. If you’re over 35, single and needing advanced fertility needs this is probably not the clinic for you. I was minded of my age way too often...Very kind doctor, just uses a standard formula for patients instead of listening to their cycle. I was also reminded of my age way too often.

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
Dr. Nash and his staff took his time to explain everything to me. He made sure all the treatment options were explained, accurate information was given and didn’t rush me...We reviewed every detail and he went the next steps, including additional testing and other consults...spent our first appointment completely exploring my history and my husbands.
We switched from a much larger clinic [to Reproductive Gynecology] and couldn’t be happier that we did.. the larger clinic treated us like a number and didn’t customize anything. RGI treated us as people, making sure they had a thorough review and understanding of every step along the way...I had interactions with several staff members and each of them took their time with me. They outlined everything and made sure we had a Full understanding
How was your experience with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
At my previous clinic I wasn’t given any detailed information and very limited testing was done. Dr. Nash spent our first appointment completely exploring my history and my husbands. We reviewed every detail and he went the next steps, including additional testing and other consults. He always made sure that all my questions were answered thoroughly and completely
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?
He is extremely patient and thorough so be prepared for a longer than expected appointment
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with David Nash at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility?

Describe the protocols David Nash used in your cycles at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility and their degree of success.
We haven’t moved into a treatment setting yet but Dr. Nash was very upfront about the percentages each treatment would yield us. After reviewing all of these we decided to move on to IVF

Dr. Nash used language in our consultations that made me feel that he was minimizing our fertility situation and showed little optimism. He is very blunt and clinical. I felt like he was lacking in compassion. He never adjusted my medication (oral meds and injectables) even though we did 4 rounds of IUI...I felt like he was rushing while talking through fertility options just to get me to settle on IVF
The nurse [of Reproductive Gynecology] was nice however she was always really busy, so a few times she rushed through some follow up items for my care and made some mistakes...The laboratory was efficient. Scheduling was pretty easy. The clinic doctor was somewhat pushy when it came to genetic testing and IVF options. At times I felt the doctor and staff guilted me about personal decisions I made about testing and treatment.

Be your own advocate. His associate, Dr. Jain, is much more personable.

I was prescribed Letrozole and also had to take an HCG trigger shot prior to the IUIs. Dr. Nash never adjusted this protocol for any of the four cycles.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility.
The nurse was nice however she was always really busy, so a few times she rushed through some follow up items for my care and made some mistakes. If I hadn’t been vigilant and my own advocate, some parts of my care would have fallen through the cracks.

Each IUI was $400, plus sperm washing was $100, the trigger shot was about $130. We did four cycles, plus lab fees and consult, so I’m total we spent about $5,000.

[Dr. David Nash used an] aggressive antagonist protocol. He uses birth control to calm the ovaries before stimmulating. Which produced a cyst and a cancelled cycle multiple times for me which i told was unusual. Stimulating produced 3 eggs, 2 PGS tested embryos. Failed frozen tranfer...I was told only 1 embryo at a time...He is a very nice person.... He Shows compasion and feels for you..... He seems to care about his patients but He also Seems very busy and doesn't have a lot of time during all of his appointments......
Weakness [at Reproductive Gynecology] would be parking & clinic pricing. They are very expensive and not a lot of help with figuring it out other then " cash or credit". Offer advice, suggestions, anything. The parking lot is terrible and always full. Strength would be seeing a dr at every appointment...Most of the nurses are great. Nurse coordinator could be better...aggressive antagonist protocol. He [Dr. Nash] uses birth control to calm the ovaries before stimmulating. Dr. Nash told us our odds at every turn...We still remember our last visit. We were given less than an 8% chance of getting pregnant. Our age was also a big factor with complications associated if we even did get pregnant. Our healthy beautiful daughter is now 4. So thankful for how you treated us Dr. Nash...Don’t be a patient, but be patient. Listen and learn
[Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility was] The only clinic we attended, so can not give a parallel evaluation. They were awesome to us! Timely responses with any questions. We could tell they cared and knew we cared. Got back to us immediately, even if it was not promising news...[nursing staff] Always expecting arrival, and knew our situation. The level of our treatment was always understood.throughout.
