Dr. Sasson is warm, patient, kind, and thoughtful. He won’t sugarcoat his expectations for success and won’t waste your time with treatments that he doesn’t think will work. When he can, he goes out of his way to be there for your egg retrievals, even when he isn’t on-call. He has a great deal of compassion and is with you for the good and bad news...he’s willing to flex the plan as you prefer...
the billing aspect could be improved [at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania]. It’s complicated when insurance and out-of-pocket is combined. The financial coordinators can’t really offer financial help; they more or less just tell you what you owe. But there isn’t a breakdown of costs. The nurses are better at offering medication options and can direct you to pharmacies with better out of pocket costs. Often, the front desk person wanted to collect a copay even if you didn’t owe one...

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Isaac Sasson at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
Just be patient. Sometimes it can be difficult to connect with him in between treatments, but once you start it’s smooth sailing. Also, don’t be afraid of what he has planned for you - he’s willing to flex the plan as you prefer!
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Isaac Sasson at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania?
You never felt rushed when you got the chance to see or talk to him.
Describe the protocols Isaac Sasson used in your cycles at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania and their degree of success.
I feel like the 1st ivf round was fairly generic as you don’t know how someone will respond. Found out on this cycle that my right ovary was non-functional. I only had 1 embryo after the 1st round, and it was abnormal when we did the pgt-a test. The 2nd and 3rd ivf rounds were better; my protocol was switched i believe to lupron. I think i had 2 embryos on the 2nd round and 1 was normal. Then, I had the hsg and saline sonogram. And did the mock transfer/ERA transfer. Did the 1st frozen embryo transfer but it failed. Had to do a 3rd ivf round - got 2 normal embryos. Then switched my transfer protocol - took lupron depot and letrozole and then transferred 1. And she stuck!
Describe your experience with your nurse at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania. (Assigned nurse: Debbie)
Debbie is awesome. You could ask her a thousand questions and she would answer them without judgement. I felt like she cared about you and your success.
Describe your experience with Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
Strengths - they all seemed to work well together. If they had issues with each other, you would never know it. If I couldn’t get ahold of my nurse, I would reach out to another to get in touch. Weaknesses - the billing aspect could be improved. Often, the front desk person wanted to collect a copay even if you didn’t owe one.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Isaac Sasson at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
I used insurance and out of pocket. After 3 ivf rounds, I spent roughly $20,000 to 30,000. I was never offered special plans or shared risk program.
Describe Isaac Sasson's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
He’s willing to have a conversation about multiple embryo transfers, but prefers single.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Shady Grove Fertility Pennsylvania.
It was sometimes hard to get ahold of the dr or nurse in between treatments. You generally speak to the nurse who touches base with the dr. Ive had to leave a few voicemails and emails and hadn’t had return calls or replies. However, once I was able to touch base I felt like all was fine.
