After the results came back as azoospermia, he ordered a testicular biopsy to confirm the presence or absence of sperm in the testicles. The biopsy showed there were sperm present. Viable sperm was collected during the biopsy to be stored for later use. Then, Dr. Kovac prescribed Clomid for four months to increase hormone levels and try to stimulate sperm production. Finally, another round of blood work and a sperm analysis were performed to check if the Clomid was effective.

How was your experience with Jason Kovac at Urology of Indiana?
Our experience with Dr. Kovac was mostly good. We had a lot of questions for him and he always seemed happy to answer them for us. He was very thorough in explaining the treatment plan and the diagnosis. After he performed a testicular biopsy, he called me at my home after a couple days to check in on me. Overall, it was a good experience.

Describe the protocols Jason Kovac used in your cycles at Urology of Indiana and their degree of success.
Dr. Kovac started with a semen analysis and blood work to determine testosterone levels and other hormones.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff.
The nursing staff was knowledgeable and open to questions. It was difficult to contact them by telephone.
Describe your experience with Urology of Indiana.
Urology of Indiana has good doctors. It is extremely busy most of the time though. It's difficult to reach anyone by phone. The best time to call the office is after 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Expect to get into your appointment later than scheduled. The waiting room is usually full. That being said, the staff is knowledgeable and seem happy to answer any questions. They are also flexible with appointment times and are willing to work with patients in that regard.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Jason Kovac at Urology of Indiana.
Each office visit cost about $100. Blood work was about $300. The biopsy was several hundred dollars.

My husband had 3 sperm analysis done [with Dr. Jason Kovac]. After the first analysis we discovered the problem and answers our questions as to why weren’t getting pregnant. After it was discovered my husband has slow, immobile sperm, Dr. Kovac wanted him to get a series of blood tests to make sure it was genetic. These blood tests were very expensive and since we were paying out of pocket we decided to stop seeing him for financial reasons.

Describe your experience with Urology of Indiana.
The clinic and staff were wonderful the room my husband made his sperm analysis was clean. There was plenty of room and variety of items to “help with your deposit”. My husband said the only thing that he would change is that while he was making his deposit, he could hear the nurses at the nurses station laughing and talking to one another. He said it was a bit awkward but not overwhelming to where he would never go back.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Jason Kovac at Urology of Indiana.
We paid out of pocket for treatment. For 3 sperm analysis it was between $500-$700 if I remember right
