We went through a hormone protocol, and an egg retrieval which didn’t result in any eggs [with Dr. Kathleen Brennan]. We spend a lot of money with no results mostly because she doesn’t specialize in DOR...We had a failed egg retrieval. The doctor told me in the hallway and then immediately left without waiting 5 minutes for my wife to wake up to let her know the devastating news...Overall we had good Interactions but only the patient was paid attention to. I am the wife and no one made eye contact with me and I felt we had different treatment as a same sex couple, Not by the doctor herself but by the front desk staff.

How was your experience with Kathleen Brennan at UCLA?
I would not recommend dr Brennan if you have dor. When we had an egg retrieval and she wasn’t able to get any eggs she left immediately and left me alone to tel my wife when she woke up. I get that was insensitive. If you’re not dealing with any complications I would highly recommend her. She’s clearly competent and she’s very nice and blunt and thorough but I didn’t like the way she handled that procedure
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Kathleen Brennan at UCLA?
Don’t expect to have success if you have diminished ovarian reserve

Describe your experience with UCLA.
Strengths: we liked Brennan, she was thorough and explained all the processes, meds, and risks. Weaknesses: she left right after the procedure and didn’t stay to tell my wife the bad news. We didn’t love now that was handled
