How was your experience with Mary Wood Molo at Rush University?
I wish I could give a review for Dr Wood Molo, but I saw her once, and never again. There is no way to contact her at all, and you have to rely on nurses who will write down your questions, supposedly ask the doctor your questions, and then call you back. I never had my questions answered. It would have been great to have Dr Wood Molo reach out even ONCE to questions.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Mary Wood Molo at Rush University?
Honestly, choose anyone else. I recommend Northwestern, which was a much better experience. Prepare to be a checkbook and nothing else to this office.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Mary Wood Molo at Rush University?
I didn’t realize after an initial consultation that I would never see or talk to Dr Wood Molo again, despite paying copays for specialty provider visits for every single test I had performed. I also didn't know there was no way at all to contact Dr Wood Molo; no MyChart, no phone numbers, nothing. All communication is only through the receptionist, who relays to nurses, and these interactions were terrible. As a former nurse, I have a lot of respect for nurses, however Dr Wood Molo’s staff are rude, condescending, and unable to answer even basic questions about the work up that you have done. You will go in for labs and/or ultrasound, the nurse will call in the afternoon to tell you results, with no explanation at all. Each of my visits, I was told to come in with no idea about what tests or ultrasounds were even being performed. It was a lovely surprise every time I walked into the office to see what tests they were doing, with no explanation to why these tests were being performed.
Of the (many) tests performed, I had ONE abnormal result. I was called and told “oh your level was abnormal”. I had to actually ask the nurse what that test was, why it was being performed, when it was even drawn, and what it meant, and she struggled to answer any of these questions.

I wish I had one! Weeks and weeks of testing and nurses forgetting to call with results. Never once heard about any treatment options or next steps. Just kept coming in for more and more tests and more bills...

The nurses are the worst part of this office. I actually liked Dr Wood Molo the one time I met her, but then never heard from her or saw her again.
The nurses are the most condescending rude clinicians I have ever worked with...and I work in healthcare. They will see you less than 2 minutes every visit and basically just say "ok well I will tell you what the doctor says later". They are unable to answer any questions. I had to call to follow up several results on my own. The nurses have forgotten about tests I had or lost ultrasounds until I reminded them they were already performed.

The worst clinic I have ever worked with. They are not affiliated with Rush at all, and are a small, poorly managed clinic. They are disorganized, you will wait on hold for a long time every time you call, and it is impossible to reach anyone.

Be prepared for ridiculous billing practices. A simple ultrasound visit requires copays for a specialty provider visit, despite never seeing a provider. This felt like borderline fraud; having ultrasounds and lab work done anywhere else does not require a provider copay. The final straw was a prenatal genetic screen, which the office told me would cost one fee, however I was later charged double (which was several HUNDRED dollars more). When I asked CRC why this test was so expensive, I was told “oh, I guess they changed their rates, sorry, that's not really our problem”. I actually asked Dr Wood Molo’s office for a CPT billing code in advance to check the price for this test, and was told “oh, we don’t do that, it takes too long”.

Be prepared to never see or hear from a doctor, have no idea what tests are ever being performed, have no explanation of what abnormal results mean, spend hours looking up tests yourself, deal with rude staff, and pay ridiculous bills. They quote you wrong prices on tests and when you are billed HUNDREDS of dollars more than quoted, the clinic will tell you "oops sorry, guess we had the wrong price!" and say they can't do anything about the bill, since they aren't affiliated with the lab they sent it to.
