dr Traub was always available and super responsive to the emails. Whatever questions I had they were answered. When our first transfer didn't work we were seen the same day we found out and he already had few options for us to choose from. He explained to us all the pros and cons of each...I was told right away my options and best and worse case scenarios. I am as on high dose of gonal F, Menopur and clomid as I am a poor responder. This resulted in 7 eggs retrieved and all of them fertilized. 4 were frozen and PGA tested. 3 were normal.
The nurse [at Island Reproductive Services] always knew my name, I was always called with instructions and the doctor always was ready to speak with me at the appointment...The basic with ICSI was about 11-12k, anesthesia 600, we had a frozen cycle , extra embryo transfer was 3k...We had 3 embryos to transfer one high grade and the other two lower. Dr suggested to transfer just one of the highest quality and my husband wanted to transfer two but dr suggested that it will not raise our odds too much. We decided with one and this did not take. After that we went with two and one took resulting in one live pregnancy.

All of the nurses at Dr. Traub office [Island Reproductive Services] called you everyday with updates after you morning monitoring. They gave you detailed instructions and were kind and compassionate... amazing office that I highly recommend and I am very happy I went with them. They are very well organized and run efficiently. They get things done when they say they will and always call you back the same day. Honestly for the time I have been a patient here I have not encountered any weaknesses in the clinic. As difficult and emotional this process can be they made the experience positive

I underwent surgery for Stage IV Endometriosis [with Dr. Michael Traub] and as soon as I was healed we started the ivf cycle...I trust his choices completely...is a very caring doctor who remembers everything about me as an individual...He is just a caring, knowledgeable man and I’m grateful I chose him as my doctor. He is respectful and has experience bedside manner as well. And he remembers me as a person, not a patient. Every time I go to him he remember everything about me and my entire history.
The nurses [at Island Reproductive Services] were amazing as well. They answered all of my questions and always were there when I needed them...My ivf process was covered by insurance 75%. I still paid well over $20,000 altogether for both of my pregnancy cycles and my failed cycle...I can’t come up with any weaknesses. They are a great clinic overall. Everything there is new and clean. And they are super accommodating to my needs. They always called me back and answered all of my questions. Also their wait time was not bad at all! I love that they have super early hours for bloodwork and sonograms for those of us that have to be at work early.

He [Dr. Traub] told me that IVF was the best option for me because my endometriosis had compromised my reproductive systems- and this was my only way to get pregnant. ... He was very upfront with me and I appreciated his opinion of a more aggressive treatment plan at this stage in my life. He answered all my questions and was with me every step of the way through my treatment process
... it was a great clinic [Island Repro Svcs] - everything was provided for at the clinic- I like that bloodwork was all done internally and results were given they same day. I also like that all my procedures were done at Dr. Traub office and not a hospital - made it feel less intrusive to me ... Dr.Traub and his staff were very patient and respectful to me- they answered all my questions that I had and always got back to me the same day.

Dr Traub was the second RE I visited as I was with treatment from the first. Dr. Traub was candid and plainly explained the entire IVF process and expectations. I like that he was always pleasant, positive and knowlegeable.... My first RE had me on a mini IVF and this I found was wasteful considering the expense. I yielded 3 egg. Dr. Traub disagreed with this treatment. His treatment was just a "norma" IVF protcol. I was able to get 8 eggs and 5 day 5 embryos. All were PGS tested normal.
The wait to see doctor is sometimes quite long [at Island Reproductive Services]. However they never seem to schedule too many patients on one day. I have never seen more than 4 patients waiting. The office staff is quite pleasant and helpful.... Both doctor and nurses and other office workers were pleasant and helpful. They made it a point to know you name and was quick to answer any questions.

Dr Traub always answers any and all questions and explains everything in details without rushing you out. He explained that my chances of conceiving without ivf were extremely slim but went ahead and tried iui as well as a couple of cycles with just fertility treatments but all resulted in a negative pregnancy test... He is an excellent dr with a caring and compassionate personality. He truly puts his all into every one of his patients and explains every thing in detail . I never felt rushed in his office . Always felt very comfortable and knew going Into this what kind of outcome to expect based on our discussion.

He is very thorough and clear. I wouldn't trust anyone else. Dr. Traub knows what he is talking about and leaves me with no doubts each time we have gone to surgery. Nothing he has ever said has been incorrect....He was open about giving me his email to ask any questions at any time. He responds quickly and in a manner that is reassuring... Everyone [Island Reproductive Services] is friendly and caring, right down to the 6:45 bloodwork staff. They do have a North shore monitoring location which I didn't always know about and it made it easier for me to get to work on time in the morning... One time they sent other patient records to my home instead of an insurance company. But it was resolved quickly.

How was your experience with Michael Traub at Island Reproductive Services?
Dr. Traub is very knowledgeable about the latest protocol in regards to fertility treatment. From the first consultation he pinpointed exactly the issues, detailed the likelihood of conceiving, and kept us informed through the whole process. I went into the process intending to trust him and I was never disappointed. The process itself can be frustrating/disappointing but never with his medical decision making. From the first appointment based on my previous labs/experience he immediately stated I had lean PCOS with irregular ovulation cycles. We decided to go with IUI with Ovidrel injection for 2 cycles that were unsuccessful. After the 2nd cycle he brought us in for a consultation, decided IVF with FET was the next step but while we got the paperwork settled we did one more cycle of IUI. When that was unsuccessful we immediately, the next month, moved into IVF which was successful the first try. His thinking ahead of time prevented us from waiting longer to start the IVF process which worked the best for us.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Michael Traub at Island Reproductive Services?
To trust him and the clinic. I cannot speak for other patients with more complicated diagnoses but his straightforward medical approach kept me calm through the process. Being in healthcare I wanted someone who followed the latest research, which he definitely does. He is also very careful in not overstimulating patients with PCOS and I was informed multiple times I was kept on the lowest dose of injections to prevent hyperstimulation and still get positive results.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Michael Traub at Island Reproductive Services?
Dr. Traub and the entire staff at the New Jersey office were very personable. Dr. Traub was always contactable by e-mail, very prompt in responding and even once called me personally on a Sunday regarding the timing of my IVF cycle. Leslie, Sally, Melissa, and Nidhi were always available on the phone and were very reassuring through the whole process.
Describe the protocols Michael Traub used in your cycles at Island Reproductive Services and their degree of success.
From the first appointment based on my previous labs/experience he immediately stated I had lean PCOS with irregular ovulation cycles. I had come to him on Letrozole that was begun by my previous OBGYN. He immediately converted that cycle to a medicated IUI cycle with Ovidrel injection. We did one more cycle after that with both unsuccessful. In IVF I had the lowest dose of injections for 10 days and I finally triggered with two injections. In the NJ office it seems most procedures happen on Friday. After my egg retrieval (16 eggs) I was given updates every 2 days regarding my embryos. We opted for genetic testing. Dr. Traub personally called with the testing results (6 embryos, 3 tested genetically normal) and we decided together which embryo to move forward with. He was clear from the beginning that only one embryo would be transferred and I completely agreed with his medical reasoning. Before my embryo transfer he had a strict medical protocol which involved prednisone and regular bloodwork and calls from Sally regarding my dosages. The whole process was clearly done under a strict protocol based on my biological responses to ovarian stimulation and not just standard dosages. He was very careful not to cause hyperstimulation and serious side effects.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Island Reproductive Services. (Assigned nurse: Sally)
Staff was wonderful. Leslie and Nidhi were always soothing, friendly, and remembered my name and face (even with the mask!). Sally and Melissa were always responsive and informative when calling regarding lab results/instructions. Sally was with me after the egg retrieval and was very helpful.
Describe your experience with Island Reproductive Services.
Strengths: not too long wait times, responsive, good hours in the morning for lab work and ultrasounds, small and personable so one does not feel like a number Weaknesses: none that wouldn't apply to all fertility clinics, the whole process can be overwhelming/frustrating and they cannot predict every single thing that is going to happen; there are no weekend hours for procedures if that is important regarding work scheduling
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Traub at Island Reproductive Services.
Insurance provided $10K toward fertility treatments. We decided to pay for 2 IUI (500 each) out of pocket to save it toward an IVF cycle which worked out the best in the end. Medications and genetic testing were also out of pocket ($6K approx) but I made the decision to pay more to make the protocol easier for myself (clinic pre-mixed injections for me and I chose Crinone gel over the progesterone injections).
Describe Michael Traub's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Island Reproductive Services.
Dr. Traub firmly believes in eSET. I had no particular feeling either way but when I asked his opinion he stated that no doctor should take the risk of a multiple pregnancy in my case (healthy woman less than 35). However, I do think that if we had a differing opinion he would have taken that into account.

You can easily go to morning monitoring there and still make it to work on time in Brooklyn or Manhattan.

The office was a well-oiled machine, treating patients in a pleasant and efficient manner.
How was your experience with Michael Traub at Island Reproductive Services?
I highly recommend Dr. Traub. He performed surgery on me to remove my uterine fibroids, got me pregnant with my one year old son through IVF, and I’m currently pregnant with my second child through IVF. I was Dr. Traub’s patient from April 2019-March 2022. Dr. Traub is warm, kind, responsive, compassionate, and honest. He took his time to explain things to me and I always left his office understanding my next steps. He understood how badly I wanted children and always made me feel heard. He responded to emails quickly and even took a call from me on a Sunday when I had a concern. Struggling with fertility is extremely difficult, but it wasn’t as scary with Dr. Traub guiding me through it.

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Michael Traub at Island Reproductive Services?
Dr. Traub is warm and kind, while still being direct and honest. He also hires an exceptionally pleasant staff who always treated me like a person and were sensitive to how difficult this process is. Even though I’m relieved that my fertility journey is behind me, I’m actually going to miss everyone at Dr. Traub’s office.
Describe the protocols Michael Traub used in your cycles at Island Reproductive Services and their degree of success.
First, Dr. Traub did a saline ultrasound to assess how many uterine fibroids I had. Then, he performed surgery to remove them. It took 3 months to recover, then we started IUI. After 3 failed iui’s, we started IVF. (IUI success rates are low to begin with.) My first IVF attempt was successful and I have a healthy one year old son. I returned to Dr. Traub to get pregnant again. We did two embryo transfers with embryos left over from my previous egg retrieval, but I miscarried. We did another egg retrieval and then an embryo transfer. It was successful; I’m currently ten weeks pregnant.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Island Reproductive Services. (Assigned nurse: Sally)
Sally and the rest of Dr. Traub’s team are lovely people. It’s clear that he takes the hiring process seriously. They called me every afternoon after my morning monitoring appointment and clearly explained my next steps. I enjoyed chatting with them at my frequent appointments. They made me feel comfortable at each visit.
Describe your experience with Island Reproductive Services.
One of their main strengths is clear and frequent communication. I always understood exactly what my next step was. They always answer the phone and get back to you quickly with any questions. Their other strength is their kindness. They always put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. I wish all doctor’s offices were as nice as Dr. Traub’s!

I can’t remember the total cost, but I remember Sally and Shannon sat down with me and clearly explained my upcoming costs.
Describe Michael Traub's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Island Reproductive Services.
Since I needed a pretty involved surgery to remove my 28 uterine fibroids, we did not even consider transferring multiple embryos. My uterus would not have been able to carry two babies.

Describe the protocols Michael Traub used in your cycles at Island Reproductive Services and their degree of success.
I had to undergo two egg retrieval cycles due to a poor egg quality in my first retrieval. The second egg retrieval cycle was much more successful because Dr. Traub increased the dosages of some stimulation medications. He said this has brought success in the past, and luckily had been successful for me, as well.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Island Reproductive Services. (Assigned nurse: Sally)
I mainly saw two nurses in Dr. Traub's office; Sally and Karen. Both nurses are fantastic. They are two of the sweetest nurses I've come into contact with. They always called to communicate results. They took the time to answer any questions you may have.
Describe your experience with Island Reproductive Services.
Everything is done right here in this office. There is not much that you need to get done outside of the office. The doctor does all of the procedures himself. The nurses are always available to assist. The office staff seems to have good communication amongst themselves, which makes it a pleasant patient experience.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Island Reproductive Services.
Monitoring hours were in the morning, and I found it to be busiest when they would open. It still ran smoothly.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Traub at Island Reproductive Services.
Very comparable and competitive pricing compared to other fertility clinics. The nurses helped in finding the cheapest medications available.
Describe Michael Traub's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Island Reproductive Services.
Prefer the single embryo transfer as opposed to multiple embryo transfer because it is about keeping everyone safe and healthy. Single embryo transfer is safer for the mom, and also the baby.

We completed three IUI cycles using Clomid, Omnitrope, and Estradiol. Two were unsuccessful and the third gave me my daughter! I also completed an egg retrieval and embryo freezing out of pocket. I was prescribed Menopur, Gonal-F and Lupron. We retrieved 12 eggs, 10 fertilized, 6 made it to blast and 3 were normal.

Dr. Traub takes the time to investigate and explain what your plan is to get pregnant. He is honest and very knowledgeable. He’ll quickly respond to emails and even give you a call. The morning after my egg retrieval I was having a difficult time. He called me and assured me that what I was feeling will subside and he was correct...Dr. Traub only transfers one embryo which we also agreed with...
The clinic [Island Reproductive Services] is very professional and efficient. Going for early morning monitoring was very easy to do before work. Due to the multiple treatments I became friendly with a lot of the staff. They were all so kind...Sally [nurse] was amazing to talk to. She is so kind and patient. Sometimes I would forget part of her instructions and have to call back shortly after. She was always pleasant. Melissa walked us through the IVF medications. Even though we had an in person consult she still spent the time with me on the phone talking through how to mix the medications.

Describe the protocols Michael Traub used in your cycles at Island Reproductive Services and their degree of success.
Due to insurance reasons we had to do 3 IUIs before IVF. After the first cycle took longer to develop mature eggs, Dr. Traub upped the medication for the second and third cycles. When they didn’t work we jumped right into IVF. I responded very well to the injectables and had a large egg retrieval with 13 PGS tested embryos in the end. Through any test and procedure I knew I was in excellent care with Dr. Traub.

They are always accommodating with appointments, and very helpful with insurance and medications.
How was your experience with Michael Traub at Island Reproductive Services?
Dr. Traub has treated both my sister and myself. We both have PCOS. My sister is now pregnant with her second child, and I am pregnant with my first. All thanks to Dr. Traub. He treats each patient individually, is patient and has a calming demeanor. He understood how anxious I was throughout this process and never appeared annoyed by it. After failed IUI attempts, we moved on to IVF. He prepared us that this could be necessary and the process was explained clearly. We were heart broken after our first IVF transfer failed, Dr. Traub took the time to meet with us and go over everything and helped us move forward onto our second, and now successful, transfer. He is very responsive in emails day or night and always right to the point. I appreciate his attentiveness. You can tell he really cares about his work and his patients.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Michael Traub at Island Reproductive Services?
It can be a lengthy and difficult process, be sure to write everything down, and don't be afraid to ask questions. Dr. Traub and his staff are kind and patient, they will answer all of your questions and show you compassion during what is likely one of the most difficult times you will face.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Michael Traub at Island Reproductive Services?
I felt like a human because I was always spoken to respectfully and compassionately. All questions were always answered. All staff was always very professional and kind.
Describe the protocols Michael Traub used in your cycles at Island Reproductive Services and their degree of success.
We started with IUI. The first attempt was a combination of Letrozole and Clomid, and led to a chemical pregnancy. After that we tried adjusting medications for the next few IUI cycles, and after it didn't work we were told to be prepared IVF would likely be necessary. We had to continue with another IUI cycle because of our insurance, which was of no fault to Dr. Traub and he shared in our frustration with this. We moved on to IVF and had a successful egg retrieval. Our first transfer failed, we were not sure why besides sometimes it just doesn't work. Dr. Traub then performed a saline sonogram to check for any possible missed issues although we all knew it wasn't likely. Then we proceeded on to our second transfer which was successful. I continued to be monitored with blood work and sonogram and now preparing to go to my regular OB (and sad to leave Dr. Traub and his staff although very happy this is the reason why)
Describe your experience with your nurse at Island Reproductive Services. (Assigned nurse: Sally (and sometimes Melissa))
Sally was very patient and caring. She explained everything clearly and was always available to answer questions. She always helped me stay organized and tells her patients to write everything down and repeat it back to her so she can make sure you understand. Fertility treatments are very time consuming and require a lot of medications and organization. It means a lot to have a nurse that takes the time to listen and explain. Melissa was also very informative, she is right to the point and showed compassion when she had to deliver any bad news, which I imagine is not easy. The nurses, and nursing staff such as phlebotomists and sonogram techs were always very kind, after seeing them so much you form relationships and it is honestly sad to move on once you have become pregnant and ready to go on to your regular OB.

Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Island Reproductive Services.
The monitoring appointments are done at two locations on opposite sides of Staten Island which is convenient. The monitoring is done early in the morning so that patients can go before work which is very convenient and appreciated. The monitoring hours are always organized and run-well.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Traub at Island Reproductive Services.
My insurance did cover a lot but the copayments and medication copayments do add up. We also paid for the genetic testing which was not covered by insurance. The finance person at the clinic broke down all the costs and when they would be due so we could prepare.
Describe Michael Traub's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Island Reproductive Services.
We understood why this is his recommendation and trust him.

He listened to me and had no problem doing what I wanted first...Dr Traub was extremely professional every step of the way. I always felt very comfortable and he always gave me all the information I needed for any test or procedure. I felt he was rooting for me and was very happy for me when I became pregnant. He responded to all my emails and even offered to see me when I was worried and had concerns. I never hesitated to reach out to him and that meant everything to me.
I would recommend [the Island Reproductive Services] clinic because the communication was great, people friendly, hours and locations convenient. I never waited more than 10 minutes and always knew my next steps. One of the nurses stayed on the phone with me when I had to take my first trigger shot and walked me through the steps and made sure I felt comfy, that really meant a lot.

Describe the protocols Michael Traub used in your cycles at Island Reproductive Services and their degree of success.
We started with medicated IUIs, our plan was to try only 2-3 times because of my age, he had suggested I start with IVF, but I wanted to try IUI first. He listened to me and had no problem doing what I wanted first. Luckily the second IUI resulted in pregnancy.

How was your experience with Michael Traub at Island Reproductive Services?
Starting the fertility process at 39 (later in the game) is always scary and concerning. You give up your faith, everything you're taught to believe, and give in to science. I initially started my journey at NYU and somewhere along the way you just start to go through the motions and start to feel like a robot, forced to accept whatever hand is dealt to you. It becomes very impersonal and with each unsuccessful procedure you start to give up. When I was done feeling that way, I found Dr. Traub and everything changed. He changed my course of treatment and my thinking in the process. He was sympathetic, personal, knowledgable, accessible and raised my spirits. After my 1st successful egg retrieval, my embryos tested abnormal and I was devastated. I will never forget sobbing with him over the phone on a Sunday then in his office 2 days later when he told me "If you were my wife, I would tell you to try one more time before we consider alternate treatment." He basically talked me off the ledge and guided me emotionally, told me to take a break, regroup and let's start again. I did. Today, at 42 years old, I'm a mom to a beautiful little boy (almost 2) and 10 weeks pregnant with my 2nd (little girl). I always say I owe it all to him. He restored my faith. I recommend him to anyone who asks and he has treated several friends with much success. The hardest part is always saying goodbye but he is always in my heart and my prayers.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Michael Traub at Island Reproductive Services?
Let him do his job. We tend to get in our own way with our preconceived notions and create issues when there are none...let him guide you and have faith in the process.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Michael Traub at Island Reproductive Services?
My treatment was specific to me. He remembered issues we discussed without having to look in a folder. He took the time to talk to me and made me feel confident and hopeful in the process eventhough there were bumps along the road. After leaving NYU and feeling like just a number, meeting Dr. Traub and his staff was refreshing and reassuring.

I currently work with Dr. Traub. I would highly recommend him. I wish I came to him sooner. This has been a hell of a year but he worked hard to figure out exactly what I needed. Throughout any process for fertility treatment it is very scary… they’ll be moments when you’re home and needing to ask questions for clarity and/or peace of mind.. Dr. Traub is excellent with email. He emails you back almost immediately. I have to say during this process that helped relax me and remain calm. I full heartedly thank him for where we are today.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Michael Traub at Island Reproductive Services?
Trust him. Be patient. Ask questions and don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Michael Traub at Island Reproductive Services?
Dr. Traub and his nurses made it their priority to get information to me ASAP. They answered calls. Called back as soon as possible. Dr. Traub even responded to emails way outside of work hours. I felt like they didn’t want me to feel stressed. They listened and they answered you in a very sufficient and timely manner. When you’re hormonal you don’t feel like yourself. You need support. They provided that support during the scariest time of my life.
Describe the protocols Michael Traub used in your cycles at Island Reproductive Services and their degree of success.
IVF- we did two cycles as my first egg retrieval only resulted in one healthy egg. After second retrieval I was on meds again and closely monitored for transplant of one frozen embryo. I am on lovenox and baby aspirin as I have a low grade blood clotting disorder. Mostly for precaution.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Island Reproductive Services.
When sending out biopsy of one of my eggs for genetic testing it had been misplaced. Unsure if it was the third party clinic who lost it or if the clinic never sent it out. The clinic had signatures stating they sent it out so it’s possible the mistake was not within their clinic. The doctor did what he can to make it up to us financially… emotionally it was a lot. He expressed his heartfelt apology. Upon my second retrieval we sent out a biopsy of the same egg to be tested. I’m just scared that it will need to be thawed a second time for transfer one day. I just hope it’ll make it and remain healthy.

Dr. Traub was caring and compassionate. He always answered every question I asked. Whenever I emailed him I received a reply within minutes. He took his time and always explained everything thoroughly...We did IUI so I took letrozole during my cycles and then was monitored daily with blood work and Sonograms during the cycle. When [he] knew I was ready he would inform me to take the trigger injection (ovidrel) and then I would come in within 36 hours to have the IUI procedure done
We paid out of pocket for one cycle of IUI and it cost 1,250. This included all monitoring and blood work...Throughout this process you will hear from the [Island Reproductive Services] nurses constantly and the fact that they are so nice really helps...Everyone in this office was helpful. Describe the protocols Michael Traub used in your cycles at Island Reproductive Services and their degree of success.
We did IUI so I took letrozole during my cycles and then was monitored daily with blood work and Sonograms during the cycle. When dr traub knew I was ready he would inform me to take the trigger injection (ovidrel) and then I would come in within 36 hours to have the IUI procedure done. It was quick and easy and not painful at all.

Based on the results of my retrieval years ago, there was no indication to transfer multiples. I appreciate [Dr. Traub's] approach to single pregnancies whenever possible...He was always responsive and answered my questions. He made sure I understood my treatment, the processes and expected results...He was always knowledgeable and straightforward, putting nerves and anxiety at ease, but always lets you know the risks of things. He was always timely, caring, spent the time with you, always available via email.
We had 13 embryos frozen since our first go-round [at Island Reproductive Services]...I was on crinone gel, progesterone pills, baby aspirin, estradiol, prednisone (all different doses/times). The bloodwork was consistently done to monitor my status and where I was at with my cycle and thankfully now, my pregnancy!...Sally and Melissa [nurses] are always kind and compassionate. They always listen and take the time to explain things either over the phone or in person. I had a bleeding scare a couple of times early on, and sally was always there by phone and even came to check on me during my ultrasound visit with Dr. Traub to check the baby.

Listen to him! He knows best. Better than you, better than google! Google will freak you out, and his advice may contradict what you read, but every time I felt something was missing based on what I read online, Dr. Traub always knew best and put my google obsession to rest. TRUST your doctor.

Describe the protocols Michael Traub used in your cycles at Island Reproductive Services and their degree of success.
This transfer was a 5 day frozen transfer. We had 13 embryos frozen since our first go-round. I was on crinone gel, progesterone pills, baby aspirin, estradiol, prednisone (all different doses/times). The bloodwork was consistently done to monitor my status and where I was at with my cycle and thankfully now, my pregnancy! We are in the process of weaning me off the meds after just about 2 months. I am a couple days shy of 10 weeks pregnant.

Clean facility, quick service, thorough care. Most of my appointments were in Staten Island at Richmond Valley location but I did my transfers in NJ. Staff at both places both morning and evening were always nice and accommodating.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Island Reproductive Services.
The only thing that happened is that I changed insurances over the summer before my transfer. (Old insurance covered partial, new insurance did not cover anything IVF- related) I informed the front desk but the change wasn’t communicated so once I started my meds for my transfer cycle, a few days later i got a call saying I had to stop everything and wait until next cycle because the authorization would take too long. I was upset and confused - called back and informed them that i changed my insurance. They were unaware that now I was self-pay. They apologized profusely for the misunderstanding and told me to continue my meds and my schedule as planned. All worked out fine but It was a momentary freak out for me!
