Although when we started Dr. Quintero was very friendly and showed concern as each treatment passed and failed it felt like we were just an obstacle taking his time. In the end he had no answers for us. He didn’t suggest pgs until we only had 3 embryos left.

Make sure you do all your own research before entering your appointment. He will only discuss what you ask.

Although they entered the room repeating my story I many times had to correct them making me wonder if they really knew who I was
Describe the protocols Rudy Quintero used in your cycles at CARE Fertility and their degree of success.
We did one round of IVF. I did injectables. I can’t remember meds.
Our transfers were all frozen. First and second transfer were done with injectables. The third transfer Dr. Q wanted to change things and try a “natural cycle” with oral meds which proved to not work to which he then simply started me on injectables again.
Describe your experience with your nurse at CARE Fertility.
My primary nurse for my round of IVF was heaven sent. Compassionate, understanding, and thorough. She left after our first transfer and I was then given a “primary” nurse which I only saw once or twice and I then had communication which any nurse available

The clinic is very clean and has a friendly staff. Unfortunately, all staff seems over worked which in turn makes you feel like just a number and someone who is coming in for a random physical and not a life changing treatment
Describe the costs associated with your care under Rudy Quintero at CARE Fertility.
The clinic linked us to a loan company and we were able to pull a loan to start treatment. IVF cost were $20,000, $5,000 for meds. Each additional transfer was $1,500, $500 for meds each transfer. With ultrasounds, surgeries and all services not covered by insurance we spent $35,000.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CARE Fertility.
After much research I realized that Dr. Q never gave us all the options for treatment (human growth hormone, pgs testing, PCOS treatment). Even though we had a primary nurse during our first round of IVF we then just had any coordinator work with us depending on the day. Made it difficult to make a relationship and trust. After all failed attempts Dr. Q had no answers and simply suggested we transfer all remaining embryos. Once we informed the clinic we would not be returning and taking our embryos elsewhere emails were left unreturned for weeks until our new clinic kindly offered to deal with the transfer. Which still took 3 months to complete
