I feel like the clinic is attentive and I felt like they knew my plan and what to do. I could trust them and everyone was very knowledgeable. Like I said I feel very safe with dr Goodman and her team.

I would be aware that you really need the portal because it can be tough to get in touch with someone at the office, it’s just easier by using their portal system for sure.

So I haven’t started my process yet but I have a low egg reserve and probably endometriosis so she wants to not go to hard with the medications for egg retrieval and see how my body responds. We are not sure if we can go into a transfer because I also have a low egg count. So the first step for us is to stimulate and see how many eggs I produce and go from there. We might have to take a break before my transfer to do more diagnostics for my endometriosis. She’s very honest that we won’t know much until we try with egg retrieval and go one step at a time.

The group is all about having a safe pregnancy and baby so they only transfer one embryo at a time.

They just treat you as a number in the IVF game. The doctor never personalized or discussed what our end goals are. I never got a good understanding of the process, it always felt rushed through. The doctor says one thing and then does completely different things after the appointment. They do not honor any timelines with the patient. The entire IVF process is more stretched out than it needs to be

Treat them like human and do not make false promises misleading patients

A very standard IVF protocol that you can get from google search- birth control for 15 days, gonal, menopur and triggers. The results are super subpar and we got close to no embryos.

Dr. Goodman has been very compassionate. I originally saw her for PCOS diagnosis and management. She was honest and blunt with me but in a compassionate way. I have recently started seeing her for help conceiving and so far the experience has been great.

As with any fertility treatment you have to go in with realistic expectations and be willing to ask questions and advocate for yourself.

So far I am just in the begininng stages of testing.

I am just in the early stages of testing and I do not have infertility insurance coverage. For my HSG I paid about $900.

Dr. Goodman is very thorough and explains everything in great detail. Sometimes she can talk a bit fast, but I always feel comfortable asking questions when I don’t understand something. She has always been very honest and doesn’t sugar coat anything.

Though you may not see her at every appointment, she has been knowledgeable about our specific journey at each appointment.

After our initial consultation, we went through various tests and bloodwork which lead to our unexplained infertility diagnosis. We decided to start with three IUI’s and regroup if unsuccessful. Each cycle started with a baseline sonogram and initially I was prescribed letrozole 5 mg which was later upped for 7mg. Next we’d have a mid-cycle sonogram and told whether or not to trigger that night. My first IUI was unsuccessful, the next cycle I ovulated earlier than expected so IUI was canceled and the next cycle was successful but unfortunately ended in missed miscarriage. Dr. Goodman recommended a D&C which we ultimately chose to do. Following the miscarriage she had us complete a saline infused sonogram, genetics testing and thrombophilia profile to check for clotting disorders. When everything came back normal, she recommended three more IUI’s and again regroup if unsuccessful. We completed three more IUI’s with the same protocol- all unsuccessful. When we came back for our consult, I was expecting Dr. Goodman to come in with a game plan, but it was very much a two way conversation and it was nice to have our thoughts heard. We signed up for the ART webinar and ultimately decided to transition to IVF.

I feel like Dr. Goodman has so many great qualities and strengths. Each time she walks in and greets you, its heartfelt regardless of good or bad news. I like the fact that she "entertained" my wanting to go "back" and address the previously diagnosed blocked tubes. After the 2 unsuccessful IVF cycles, it was close to Christmas which meant holiday break IF we were to proceed with cycle 3. I decided that I needed the mental rest and decided to ask to relook at the previously blocked tubes. Dr. Goodman saw me after the new year and we decided to start with the HSG which resulted in tubes not being blocked and we decided to proceed with the IUI cycles. The fact that she was willing to allow me to go this route for many reasons is wonderful. She always explains herself and the why BUT always lets me decide. She is not pushy or overbearing or cold. I honestly cannot think of any weaknesses to talk about...

Not only as a prospective patient of Dr. Goodman, but as a prospective patient in general for infertility would be to keep an open mind, and remember that every person's body is different and do not be discouraged by the statistics presented. I would also advise to do your own research as well and build your fertility team.

IVF 1: Birth control, then upon start of menses/baseline, nightly injection of Omnitrope 27 units, Menopur 2 vials, Gonal F 300 units IVF 1 cancelled due to follicle size expectation IVF 2: Birth control, then flared with Lupron 20 units 2x/day; Menopur 2 vials 2x/day; Gonal F 150 units 2x/day; Omnitrope 27 units 1x/day IVF 2 I had to order more medications because the follicles were a little slow even with this protocol however I produced 9 follicles total, 7 eggs resulted, 5 fertilized, 3 embryos. Zero were transferred due to each embryo resulting in abnormal results after PGT. IUI 1: Letrozale 2.5mg 2x/day for 5 days; Ovidrel trigger shot IUI 1 unsuccessful; unable to have additional intercourse due to military mobilization due to COVID-19 pandemic/response. Now due to COVID-19, we are in a holding pattern for IUI however if we are able to see and have relations we will.

Up until IVF and IUI, my insurance provided coverage in accordance with my benefits. Super expensive but everything is delineated with the exception of prescription costs.

We are required to attend a seminar in which all of this is addressed and the reasoning why. I believe this clinic only conducts single embryo transfers.

A strength of Dr. Goodman is that she does have a lot of knowledge in the area around infertility and she does explain things thoroughly. For example -- After my HSG Dye Test she provided me my results and explained that the Fallopian tube may have a blockage, it may be misshapen, or it may have no issues and I was just laying funny. She explained the reasons why she would want to look for it if I'm considering IVF. She also explained there's a chance that it's nothing and she will go in there and everything will be fine. I appreciated her candor. Weakness: - Conversation feels rushed. - She has no knowledge on pricing -- that always goes to a separate department. - She is not great at follow through and is hard to get a hold of if you're not face to face. After my HSG test I was having pain in my lower abdomen. I went back and they did an ultrasound and also did some bloodwork. I expected to get results of my ultrasound at that point, however, nobody ever discussed with me they just sent me out the door. I was upset, and in pain.. so I went to the front desk and asked them if I can get some answers from my ultrasound. They told me nobody could help me because they were busy, but they will call me before end of day. I did get a call before end of day, but the whole thing was odd. I never saw Dr. Goodman. I was obviously in discomfort and felt very pushed to the side. - No bedside manner. Dr. Goodman is matter of fact. It's black or white. There is no gray.

Definitely have lists of questions ready. She will answer them well. If you're the type of person who likes reassurance and good bedside manner, I suggest looking elsewhere for that.

I haven't gone into IVF with Dr. Goodman yet. I cannot afford the treatment at her facility and have since switched to CNY. Her only protocol to date has been to put my husband on supplements for his sperm count.

I have insurance with a high deductible. To date I haven't gotten my IVF done there but I know without insurance it's roughly $12,000 for one round of IVF. The pretesting blood work was maybe around $150 out of pocket. The HSG Dye test was around $600. Each appointment is around $100 for me. I don't remember specifics but that's roughly right. I know the tube surgery I will be having done is going to run me anywhere from $500-$1000 with insurance.

Dr. Goodman communicates well and make sure my husband and I understood what we are doing. We met after 3 IUI, and talked about the next steps. We decided on 3 additional IUI; however, My husband and I completed 2 more and decided we are done. We would love to move forward with IVF, but the cost is more than we can handle. Dr. Goodman was very supportive during the times we had an appointment with her. I am truly blessed for Dr. Goodman and for her to help us understand our unexplained and always gave us hope.

At this time, I have no advice.

We completed all the testing to make sure my husband and I were compatible. Checked all my bloodwork and everything was great. Checked my husband sperm count and his was great. We started IUI, which we did 2 sonogram to see if I had a cyst and to see if my follicles were ready to complete the IUI procedures. I took Famara during 3-7 CD Took the shot of Ovidrel 24 hours prior to the IUI procedures. If I started my period, I called and started it all over again.

My insurance didnt cover any cost. My husband and I paid out of pocket. We paid 155 for each sonogram. We paid for 375.00 for each IUI. 90 for Orivdel Shot, and 8 dollars for Femara. It cost over 100 dollars to do the sperm analysis. Genetic testing cost about 900 dollars but we completed a grant and did not have to pay for this. We paid for blood work as well. We completed 5 rounds of IUI. There were two months were we paid for the Sonograms but did not get to complete the IUI because my body had already ovulated or I ovulated late and I went out of town. A few things stood out to me about Dr. Goodman. First, she is very skilled, confident, and knowledgeable. She spent time with us answering questions and having well thought out and truthful answers. She was compassionate. One thing to note, though, is she is a fast talker. I had to take good notes to review later and also have her repeat things at times because she would talk too fast for me to really comprehend. Infertility and the treatments are very involved and complex, so we definitely needed time to fully understand everything she told us. Dr. Goodman is very compassionate and has a good bedside manner. As an example, a few days after my egg retrieval, I started getting symptoms of OHSS (it was awful!). My husband called the office and was able to get through to Dr. Goodman who assured him I would be okay and to come straight into the office. She saw us immediately and gave me an exam to see if I indeed had OHSS. She determined I had a mild case, but it wasn't severe enough for further medical treatment. She was incredibly sympathetic to the pain and discomfort I was in and took the time to assuage our fears, answer questions, and made it clear that if I wasn't starting to feel better or got worse then we were to come straight back in. Overall, she is smart, quick, but will definitely slow down and take her time if/when needed.

Don't be afraid to ask questions and to ask her to repeat something if you didn't quite catch everything the first time. Bring a notebook to take notes.

After our consultation, we were required to go to a infertility class that was put on by our clinic at a local hospital that gave the basics on treatments etc.. I don't remember the names of the drugs. But I started by tracking my cycle with ovulation test strips and then taking birth control for 2 weeks to regulate my cycle. Once I reached a certain day (confirmed by blood tests), we began injections (3 of them - i forget what they were, but pretty standard for egg retrievals from what I understand). We were given a short training session on how to do the injections as well. Injections lasted, i think, 3 weeks and then I had my retrieval (blood tests, again, confirming I was ready for retrieval as well as ultrasound on my ovaries). After egg retrieval, we were told later that day how many eggs were retrieved, then in the next couple days how many embryos were created and finally how many embryos had survived to be frozen. Next, we had our GC come in for a consultation. After a consult and exam, she was determined fit to be our GC and we went through the legal and psych parts. Once we completed that, we could begin the medical process. Our GC also went on birth control to regulate her cycle and once she was at a certain day (confirmed by blood test), injections began. She had 2 or 3 injections daily (progesterone and something else? I think a 3rd was added at some point). Injections took about 3 weeks and then, after blood tests and ultrasounds, she was ready for embryo transfer. After transfer, she maintained injections for a few weeks, even after confirmed pregnancy. At the 8 week mark, we were released from care and transferred to our own OBGYN for the rest of pregnancy. Everything we did was successful. My egg retrieval, from first consultation to frozen embryos took about 4 months (however we did take a break in december for holidays). The surrogacy portion, from first consultation to actually delivering a baby took 1 year.

We spent about $15,000 at this clinic for treatments (visits, retrieval, transfer, blood tests and ultrasounds etc). Medications were paid to another company and cost about $6,000. Legal was about $4,000 and the psych eval was in the hundreds.

I would not recommend Reproductive Medicine Group or Dr. Goodman to anyone. I have since moved my care and money to a new practice. My experiences with RMG consisted of 2 IUIs (1 resulted in a chemical pregnancy), 1 retrieval and 1 failed embryo transfer. The key issues I had included: lack of transparency, inflexible/nonsensical policies, use of a cookie cutter clinical approach, no physician interaction outside of major procedures, and Dr. Goodman's terrible bedside manner. Lack of Transparency: Don't expect to see your doctor or any doctor during most of your visits. The techs that complete all your monitoring visits are not allowed to tell you anything and that includes potential number of eggs or share any information about the thickness of your lining for your FET. Someone from another department will call you before the end of the day with next steps. You will not be told the gender of your embryos either which I knew going in and dealt with. I foolishly thought this was all standard practice across all fertility clinics but I learned it is not. In contrast, my new doctor shares and educates me throughout the ENTIRE process. There is a monitor directly in front of me so he can point and count the eggs with me. He ensures I know what to expect before each retrieval. Dr. Goodman told me that they will not share this information (reminder: this is about your own body) because they don't want to create unrealistic expectations. So, they choose to keep you completely in the dark. Inflexible/Nonsensical Policies: You will waste a lot of precious time if you embark on your IVF journey with this clinic. RMG refuses to complete the long list of to-dos concurrently. As an example, they have to get all your results before they will let you sign consent forms which they require you to do with Dr. Goodman who has very limited availability. By the time your results come in, they give you an appointment 2-4 weeks away because Dr. Goodman is booked. The office staff insists it is some kind of law that the doctor is present at the consent signing even though she is there for 1 minute to ask if you have any questions before a nurse comes in to help you fill out the forms. I consistently faced delays in care due to her schedule. I understand that doctors are busy but this was ridiculous. I had to wait 4 months between my retrieval and FET due to all the administrative hurdles RMG created. I can't even count how many times I heard,"Dr. Goodman doesn't see patients on Fridays" or "Dr. Goodman is on vacation". On the other hand, my current doctor provides me with his cell number, works weekends and expects me to text or call him if I have questions. THAT is what I expect when I pay $12k-$15k for a medical service and you should expect that too. The Cookie Cutter Approach: I do not feel that Dr. Goodman did or advised on anything that was clinically incorrect and that is based on follow-up questions I asked my new doctor just to see if his answers differ. However, it feels like she uses a standard copy/paste approach for her patients. I was a fast stim for my egg retrieval and she never bothered to adjust my medications to slow the growth and to obtain higher quality eggs. It felt like she set the protocol in the beginning and let it run with no additional follow-up. My 2nd and 3rd retrieval (not with RMG) consisted of a lot more medication tweaking which yielded higher quality embryos. Limited/No Physician Interaction: I rarely saw Dr. Goodman and never spoke to her on the phone. Of all the appointments I had, I saw her for the initial consult, saline ultrasound, 1 FET and 2 follow-up appointments after the IUI failed and the FET failed. She did not do my retrieval or either of my IUIs. I believe their IUIs are always done by nurses. For the retrieval, Dr. Goodman was again not available so this was done by another doctor. Techs complete all the ultrasounds for your retrieval and FET prep. If you're lucky, you may catch your doctor breezing by you in the hallway. If you have questions, you will need to call the office and talk to a nurse. I've never had Dr. Goodman answer any of my questions unless she is sitting right in front of me. Bedside Manner: I don't need a therapist but I also need my doctor to understand how difficult the infertility road is and that I have a lot of questions floating around in my head. There were several occasions when she was outright condescending. One of her responses that I will never forget is when she said, "I can't be here all day going over all these scenarios with you". That was in response to my many questions about what comes next and when. At the end of the day, I should have done more research so shame on me for not doing it. If you want to be valued like a human being, 100% clued into what they are doing to your body and what is happening to it then this is not the practice for you. Believe me when I say, you can find better care elsewhere.

Fertility options are limited in this part of Florida. If you do not have the luxury of going out-of-state then think about the things that are most important to you and make sure your doctor can live up to your expectations. If RMG is your only option, I would highly recommend talking to several doctors in the practice before choosing one. Lastly, if at anytime during the process you feel that your care is inadequate then pause to consider other options (e.g. new doctor/clinic). It is tempting to plow forward given how impatient we are to hold our future baby in our arms but at the end of the day it's emotionally draining to deal with subpar care.

Egg Retrieval: Menopur, Gonal F and Lupron trigger (6 retrieved/2 normal) FET: Estrogen (2X weekly) for approximately 2 weeks and daily Progesterone injections for 5 days prior to FET

IUI: $800 Retrieval: $13k FET: $7k

Dr. Goodman will not transfer more than 1 embryo and will not transfer mosaics.

Dr. Goodman is very knowledgeable and able to answer every question with more than just a vague answer. She clarifies why she chose my protocol, what studies she's looked at and what the Society of Reproductive Medicine recommends. She also was willing to do additional testing that I asked for.

I've heard of other patients having to wait so be prepared for that. Do as much research as you can so that you can ask educated questions. Ask her to break down success rates based on age, not just success rates for that treatment.

She recommended that I start with medicated IUI's rather than unmedicated. Her plan was to do 3 of them and then re-group and decide what to do next. When the IUI's didn't work, she suggested moving forward with IVF rather than an IUI with injectable meds. She did not recommend a mini-IVF cycle (she said they don't do those) and she said they have not started doing INVO-cell. She recommended if I had the finances to do IVF first before moving to donor eggs. This protocol was picked because of my age and diminished ovarian reserve. I don't recall the success rate of IVF for someone with my issues, but I do recall Dr. Goodman advising me of the price and that I would have maybe one or two embryos if I did IVF (without PGS testing them). She did seem to be an advocate of PGS testing, but said they would not transfer an abnormal embryo.

Uninsured ultrasounds are approx. $150.00 (I think); IUI ~$350; IVF ~ $27,000.

At the IVF orientation I went to (ran by Dr. Yeko), I learned that RMG does not prefer to do multiple embryo transfer because of the risks associated with it.

Dr Goodman is a caring dr. She is very good at what she does. My hsg I didn’t feel a thing. I wish she would do the iui instead of the nurses. I had complications with my iuis and were very painful. My iuis have failed because a problem was discovered and I had to do more testing. Now I am possibly looking at surgery.

When something isn’t right, be sure to speak up. It is a high volume office and you need to be your own advocate

My treatments were simple. Letrozole and trigger shot. We used ultrasound for the timing of the iui. I was a great responder.Unfortunately it did not work for me. I am now looking at surgery bc of a complication that was found during the iui.

My iui were 375. The ultrasound monitoring was 155 a piece. My trigger shot was 92 and my letrozole was less than 15 dollars. I believe my hsg was about 500 but that was with insurance. My copay for consults are 80 bucks.

Dr. Goodman is VERY intelligent. She knows the terminology and can explain the procedures in a way I could understand them. The only thing I didn’t like is when I started questioning her or what was happening, I felt like she took offense and brushed me off.

Ask questions. If you don’t fully understand something or if you are questioning a procedure or result keep pushing for an explanation instead of getting brushed off.

On cycle day 3, I was prescribed to take Femara (Letrezol) to help with the development of follicles. On cycle day 10, I had to have an ultrasound to check my lining as well as follicle size, I was then given the ok to take Ovidrel to release the egg for fertilization. Forty-eight hours after the Ovidrel, I had my IUI using donor sperm. All 3 IUIs were unsuccessful.

Office visits were between $150-$300 depending on what was discussed and for how long we met with Dr. Goodman. The ultrasounds were $155 each time and the inseminations were $210. The Ovidrel was not covered by insurance and was $92 each shot. The laparoscopy and hysteroscopy to do a chromotibation, removal of endometriosis and a polypectomy was over $2,000.

Her demeanor is warm; she seems to truly care about me and remembers me and details about my personal fertility issues. I’ve never felt pressured; she was clear about what she recommended but allowed me to feel comfortable in the decision.

Sometimes you may wait a little bit. Most of the visits she’s on time but a couple times she ran behind. The staff was really nice and gave me updates, so it was fine. What i like is that she gives me as much time as I need, too.

Dr Goodman recommended that we try (3) IUIs first to see if we could have success. Due to cost this is what we decided to do. Unfortunately IUIs were not successful so Dr Goodman then said we should move to IVF. Because of my age we decided that PGS testing was the way to go. This required that we first go through a cycle to retrieve my eggs and then freeze all the embryos. We had them testing and ended up with 4 good embryos. I wanted to put in 2, but Dr Goodman told me that it’s better for me and for the sake of having a live birth with less complications to transfer one embryo, so we did.

IUIs were about 1k each, IVF meds around 5k, IVF medical costs around 15k, PGS was about 5k or so. I probably spent 25k on IVF.

She seemed confident that putting in one embryo was the way to go and for us it worked!

Dr Goodman is very nice. I just never see or hear from her. Ever. I only see the techs, and clinic staff. 3 unsuccessful IUI's and I haven't heard anything from a doctor. I've asked the techs if there is anything else I/we can do to increase chances ect and I'm told no. No support or communication from my doctor during this last 4 months.

If you want personalized attention, go somewhere else. She's great when you see her, but you wont see her often.

Diagnosed with possible PCOS and Uterine polyps. Surgically removed polyps. Started Femera. Initially 5mg a day on cycle day 3-7. Ovidrel injection on day 12 and IUI on day 14. Unsuccessful. Same dose for cycle #2. Did not ovulate. Was told to keep checking with OPK's and come back on day 21 for progesterone blood draw. Blood draw on day 21. Positive OPK that evening. Called next day for appt to schedule IUI and the clinic was closed for a staff meeting. Inwas unable to speak with anyone and missed an entire cycle for IUI. Increased dose of Femara for IUI cycle #2. 7.5mg cycle day 3-7. Ovidrel injection on day 13 with IUI on day 15. Unsuccessful. Currently on cycle #3.

The initial testing is the most expensive so far. Greater than $7,000 just for labs, hysteroscopy with polyps removed.

Dr. Goodman has always spent the time I needed to answer all my questions warmly yet candidly. After my lap, she explained my results in laymen’s terms and was optimistic. My only negative comment is I felt she tried to use fear tactics into convincing me to get my husband a genetic test. When I never wanted any of that testing to begin with.I had to explain to her more than once I did not want it, but she finally understood and respected my decision.

She may not always volunteer the information you may need, but Will answer it if you ask. This means you need to do your research to be your own advocate and make sure all the right questions are being asked and answered.

I had good coverage for testing and procedures but my out of pocket costs were sometimes high. I was fortunate enough to have been able to save to cover this. Everything was due upon service with no options for payment plans.

Dr. Goodman is very straight to the point and does not beat around the bush. On my first visit she told me I needed to lose a specific amount of weight for treatment to have a better chance of success. She said this without judgment or meanness, but rather as a fact of treatment. I completely agreed with her assessment and felt she was willing to have a potentially difficult conversation with me because it was in the best interest of my treatment.

Be prepared to hear the good, bad and ugly because Dr. Goodman is willing to do whatever it takes to get the result you want.

We had surgery to remove cysts, then fertility treatment with IUI. The rationale is that the cysts were pressing on my Fallopian tubes and removal plus fertility treatments would help. As of right now they have not been successful but I have high hopes that our next cycle would be a winner!

I found costs to be much more reasonable than I expected. I do have insurance to help me, but my out-of-pocket costs were much less than the national average.

Dr. Sandy Goodman is very compassionate in the way she explains each concern and process. I've never felt lost after seeing her because she explains each treatment or surgery in complete details. The day of my surgery after being diagnosed with Endometriosis she did an excellent job with the actual surgery with only having one excision which is amazing. She's easy to talk to without judgement and is truly concerned in regards to your overall health with pregnancy.

Overall she is a great doctor and person. She is very straightforward which is what I love.

I am not quiet there yet. I had to have laparoscopic surgery to remove my Endometriosis so I am now finally able to start the IVF process. I am actually starting in the next week with the birth control pills once I get my menses and will be meeting with their ART department with my schedule so i wont know more until then. I am fully confident in their professional experience to have a healthy pregnancy.

Well my insurance paid for the diagnostic procedures prior to infertility treatments. I had copays so that wasnt too bad. My insurance doesnt cover IVF so that was definitely a harsh hit but it did cover my medications so I had some relief. I already knew that going into the appointment so I wasnt shocked.

I actually just spoke to my doctor about this because with the cost of IVF being so high I was confused if we should be doing one or two embryos. But she reassured me that the odds are just as high with doing one verses two. Plus she wants to make sure that I have a healthy pregnancy since there's a high chance on one of the embryos splitting causing me to have triplets if I elect to do two embryos which then increases my health and the babies.

I feel the doctor is very knowledgeable and up to date with the latest treatments. She understands what will help or not in order to have success. She gives a realistical outcome for your situation. Very honest and open to questions.

Be prepared for short sessions, and possibly another doctor to perform a procedure on you as well as nurses doing the iui.

Vaginal ultrasound to check for cysts on around day 3 of period. If all looked normal, begin taking 5mg of Femara that night for 5 nights. The choice of this drug because it worked better with less side effects. In about another week and 1/2 have another transvaginal ultrasound to check for folicle size and quantity. If either ovary side had one folicle over around 18mm, I was instructed to either take an injectable that night or the next night between 8-10 pm. In order for the follicle to mature in time for an iui procedure in around 3 days later. The morning of the iui, husband would go in to give sperm sample. After the process of the sperm, I would go in about 3 hours later for insemination. After a very painful 1st insemination, the nurse instructed me to have a full bladder the next time which did help. I would then lay on the table after the iui for about 15 mins.

My insurance only covered exams and consults leading up to the diagnosis of infertility. After that was exhausted, my out of pocket expenses were $150 for each ultrasound, and $380 for the semen wash/preparation and insemination.

I'm sure dr. Goodman is a wonderful doctor, but other than the consultation, I never want saw her for any three of my procedures. She was pretty dry, never cracked a smile, was not warm. It's a pretty emotional time for most couples, and she didn't really make our first experience comforting.

Not to expect much. They won't ever see her past the initial consultation anyway

Pretty cut-and-dry. I had three IUI procedures, all 3 medicated with letrozole. She told the nurse to tell me when to start my meds, when to come in for an ultrasound, and when to have the semen sample there for the procedure

Dr. Goodman has a heart of gold. She always talked to me like a friend. She always was aware of my facial expressions and could tell if I was not understanding something she was saying. Dr. Goodman always spoke in a soft gentle tone and would go over everything from the beginning each visit and ask if anything changed from visit to visit.

Go in with an open mind and all you knowledge of your past history, both for yourself, your spouse and both family sides. Dont be afraid to ask questions or to have questions written down for your first appointment.

We used clomid early on, and after we got a positive pregnancy test we tracked my progesterone levels, to ensure they are where they should be. When we were noticing the levels not being there she prescribed me progesterone vaginal injections for a daily basis and then she would continue to check my levels and monitoring of our little baby.

Our problem was very specific. Dr. Goodman did not sugar coat the news when she saw my diagnosis. She explained in detail the problems that we would face and the difficulty ahead. She also explained her treatment, success, and failures with previous patients with the same diagnosis. After the first cycle failed to produce any viable embryos she sat down with us and explained my condition was even more severe than she had anticipated. She was very honest that we could try again but there was no guarantee the results would change. Through out this entire process, I never felt any pressure from her to make decisions. She wanted us to take out time and feel comfortable with what we were deciding.

Ask questions. The more knowledge you have the more power you have and the easier it is for her to work with you in coming up with a treatment plan.

I suffer from stage 4 endometriosis and ovarian cysts. Because this diagnosis was not made until I was in my 30's, there is extensive damage to my ovaries. I was not a candidate for any treatment other than IVF. For both my cycles we have used the Ganarelix protocol. cycle 1 produce 14 eggs of which 12 fertilized but only 1 matured to blastocyst. We are using PGS screening and that 1 blastocyst was found to be missing a chromosome. After the unsuccessful first cycle the dosage of my meds was upped in the hope of producing viable embryos. The second cycle was more successful. We had 19 eggs and in the end were able to send 6 blastocyst samples to be screened with 4 coming back as genetically perfect. At this time we are in the process of begiing injections to let to our 1st transfer.

The monitoring was a well-oiled machine. Hours were int he morning before work. Wait times were kept to a minimum.

Dr. Goodman is a nice enough doctor and is able to answer all your questions. I wish I could have more communication with her rather than her nurse or PA answer my questions through the patient portal.

Make sure to have all your questions written down before you meet with her, she goes quickly through the appointment.

I have PCOS so making sure all my blood work was completed was vital, I was put on Metformin (I can not remember why but I am sure it has to do with my PCOS), I was also put on medication to help induce my period every month. I am about to start my first round of IUI and I will be taking a injection two nights before the IUI procedure.

My insurance unfortunately did not cover any fertility treatment related costs. I would have to pay for every visit, blood work up , and all my IUI related costs.

I was left in the dark most of the time. Often times i felt rushed to even ask questions. If I asked a question sometimes it felt like i should already know the answer to it. Nothing in my protocol changed from the 2 times I did IVF with her even though the first time didnt work at all.

Do your homework and go elsewhere.

I have 2 cycles covered under insurance so I am not sure, but I know they tried to overbill me for everything and I still paid out of pocket costs.

I was urged to do eSET however it didnt matter because I only ever got 1 embryo to make it to blastocyst

I feel Dr Goodman listens to my concerns as a patient and addresses them. She clearly defines the treatment process and expectations. She went over treatment options and is conservative with treatment plans.

Be honest about what you want and what you want to avoid.

First we did diagnostic testing to see my ovarian reserves and egg quality. We did multiple ultrasounds to see if my ovaries were at the right stages. They tested my tubes with dye for blockages abs went over the results. I completed 2 unsuccessful IUIs that involved medication. At this point I'm moving onto IVF treatment.

The IUIs were covered by insurance but I'm waiting to see what portion is covered for IVF.

She was firm that I would only receive one embryo transfer during IVF. She stated this us for the benefit of the mother and baby. It's better to be conservative then aggressive and face problems.

She was very good in the office but was hard to get reach on the phone. She has a pretty serious personality so if you like a doctor with a sense of humor she may not be the one for you, but she is thorough

Make sure to keep following up yourself.

We had specific meds left over from a previous cycle we wanted to use and she worked with that. Looking back i’m Not sure if that was the best thing for us or if she felt we were pushing her that way. I wish she would have given us more professional advice.
