How was your experience with Stephen Sawin at South Jersey Fertility Center?
Dr. Sawin is very compassionate and explains the processes well. However, I like to know how the process works in detail. I like to know the lab results, what numbers they're looking for, and why. I think maybe other patients are overwhelmed by all that information, so they do not overload you with more than you can handle and just let you know what needs to be done without much explanation. This is my only gripe, and it's not necessarily a bad one to have. In ways I am grateful because it makes me put my trust in Dr. Sawin which is an important part of this journey. But my type A personality and background as a RN makes it frustrating at times.

Describe the protocols Stephen Sawin used in your cycles at South Jersey Fertility Center and their degree of success.
My stims included menopur and gonal-f for 10 days. I started ganirelix on day 8 and triggered with lupron on day 11. I was not told the rational for my protocol. I trusted they had a strong idea of the appropriate protocol based on my prior IUIs completed with stims.
Describe your experience with your nurse at South Jersey Fertility Center. (Assigned nurse: Amanda)
My IVF nurse has been pleasant and helpful. She responds to most of my calls in a timely manner. I have worked with other nurses prior to my IVF cycle and most of them were good. Only one made me feel more like a number than a person.
Describe your experience with South Jersey Fertility Center.
The front desk is the first impression for any practice. There is one staff member in particular that is very unpleasant and does not give you a warm and fuzzy feeling when you walk in. However, the rest of the front desk staff is incredibly pleasant and helpful. This is just one individual but they are the first impression to some, and it's not a great one. The practice is otherwise efficient, clean, and has a great team of people that work well together to ensure you have everything you need.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at South Jersey Fertility Center.
My schedule is difficult since I work 12 hour shifts, but the appointments are fast and they open at 7am to ensure patients can be seen. Unfortunately, if I have work I have no opportunity to be seen unless I go in late to work (not really an option) or switch shifts with a co-worker
Describe Stephen Sawin's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at South Jersey Fertility Center.
I am only advised to transfer 1 embryo at this time due to my age, no history of miscarriage, and clean hysteroscopy.
