Fertility for Patients of Latinx Heritage

In this course, we cover the basics of conception, IUI, IVF, how success rates differ for Latinx patients as well as the impact of male factor, PCOS, and environmental exposures (e.g. pesticides, BPAs). We include deep dives on fertility-related diagnoses, from endometriosis to male factor, in both Spanish and Portuguese.

What you'll learn

In this course, we cover the basics of conception, oral medications (e.g. clomiphene, letrozole), IUI and IVF. We then analyze the data on how often Latinx communities access fertility treatment and the comparable rates of success. We then look at how factors like PCOS, BMI, male factor infertility, tubal factor infertility, and environmental exposures can warrant adjustments in approach and rates of success.
