Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
From initial appointment he [Dr. Allen Morgan] set expectations and shared with us ideal situations based on the treatment course he had planned. He discussed the what-ifs and answered every and all questions we have had. He is so kind and compassionate, and extremely patient. We have never once questioned our ability to trust him...Dr. Morgan brought us into his office, where we sat comfortably to discuss his plan of action. He made us feel like no matter what, he would be there to help us.
The clinic itself [Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine] is beautiful, CALMING and convenient. We were able to get an appointment very quickly, and begin our journey. They have the ability to do ultrasounds and lab work onsite...The online portal makes it so easy to contact them with a quick question, etc...Each and everyone are incredibly kind and helpful, I’ve cried to them, laughed with them, they’ve tried to fight out insurance company for us!
How was your experience with Allen Morgan at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey)?
Dr. Morgan has been our sense of hope throughout our infertility journey. Even though we’ve been under his care for a year now, it wasn’t until a few weeks ago that we found out our final course of action! From initial appointment he set expectations and shared with us ideal situations based on the treatment course he had planned. He discussed the what-ifs and answered every and all questions we have had. He is so kind and compassionate, and extremely patient. We have never once questioned our ability to trust him.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Allen Morgan at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey)?
Trust the process! Dr. Morgan is there to help you!
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Allen Morgan at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey)?
From the very first time we spoke to the nurse while scheduling our consultation, Dr. Morgan’s staff made us feel like a priority and instilled a sense of hope we so desperately needed. My husband and I walked in to his office, already knowing from a previous urologist appointment, that my husband had zero sperm count. We weren’t sure what our options were going to be. Dr. Morgan brought us into his office, where we sat comfortably to discuss his plan of action. He made us feel like no matter what, he would be there to help us. And so far, it’s been true. It’s been a long waiting game, almost a year of HCG injections for my husband. We only recently found out that his sperm count increased to 1,000,000! We will now be able to start IVF, but our insurance does not cover anything. Dr. Morgan sent us the estimated cost, as well as additional information on a loan company they work closely with throughout the years. Dr. Morgan and his staff understand the hardships fertility treatment can cause, and they try they’re best to ease that burden any way they can!
Describe the protocols Allen Morgan used in your cycles at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey) and their degree of success.
Before seeing Dr. Morgan, we had been TTC for a year with no success. I had a gut feeling something was wrong. My husband had been seeing a urologist for prostatitis, and we explained what had been going on. He ordered a semen analysis and I visited my obgyn for prelim testing. My ultrasound came back great, but my husband’s analysis did not. Our first appointment we discussed my husband’s results of zero sperm. My husband has naturally low levels of testosterone, so he had been prescribed test and had been taking it for a bit. Dr. Morgan had a feeling this may the main reason behind the zero sperm count. Previously, my husband was prescribed Clomid, but he had a very bad reaction to it (increased anxiety and depression-unmanageable) Dr. Morgan explained to us how HCG will likely be the best option for us. HCG will go right to the source rather than having to go through the brain to signal to everything like Clomid. My husband began HCG injections back in June 2019. We knew it would be about 4-5 months until we saw any results, so with a few labs in between and a follow up SA in December, we learned his sperm count went from 0-300,000. Dr. Morgan upped his HCG dose in the hopes of it increasing his sperm to a more ideal level. At the end of February we learned his new count was 1,000,000. Before receiving the results, Dr. Morgan explained what the ideal situation would be if we got to a certain count, and if we didn’t IVF would be our main option. We could have jumped into IVF after the first analysis, but our insurance doesn’t cover it at all, so Dr. Morgan was hopeful for maybe IUI, but unfortunately, my husband’s count is just too low for that. Our plan now is to continue the HCG injections (2x a week) until we can afford IVF. Ideally, we are targeting September for IVF due to finances and the pandemic.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey).
Omgosh so much I can say about the staff at Dr. Morgan’s office. Each and everyone are incredibly kind and helpful, I’ve cried to them, laughed with them, they’ve tried to fight out insurance company for us! They have been a dream to work with even if things don’t work out like planned. We have had a lot of issues with insurance and have had to pay for my husband’s treatments completely out of pocket...the nurses at Dr. Morgan’s office directly communicated with our insurance company and tried they’re best to fight our case and then personally checked in with me to update me. They are so easily available to communicate with. The online portal makes it so easy to contact them with a quick question, etc.
Describe your experience with Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey).
The clinic itself is beautiful, CALMING and convenient. We were able to get an appointment very quickly, and begin our journey. They have the ability to do ultrasounds and lab work onsite. It’s so nice that when we just have an appointment to discuss results, we are brought into Dr. Morgan’s office rather than the awkward and uncomfortable exam room!
Describe the costs associated with your care under Allen Morgan at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey).
We are just getting to cost now for IVF and we’re surprised to find out that due to my age and our treatment course, we will receive some sort of a “discount” we were quoted $10,900 not including medicine which would be an additional ~$1,500. If we don’t need PGS or frozen embryo transfer, then It could be less.

He [Dr. Morgan] explains treatments, protocols, and results clearly while showing compassion and empathy. Even when results are as expected he always has a plan for the future. He dedicates time to answer all your questions and makes sure you have all the information you need to make proper decisions.... 2 timed intercorse cycles using clomid and an ovidril trigger shot. - negative and resulted in thinning of utuerine lining 2 timed intercorse cycles with letrozole and ovidril trigger. - small size follicles and both negative betas 2 timed intercorse cycles with tomaxifin and ovidril trigger
The nurses [Allen Morgan Fertility] know you by your name and are willing to assist you in any way.... Short hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Using the patient portal will get you the quickest response. Organizing the financial aspect of treatment can be a little frustrating as they use an outside finance company. I’ve played phone tag occasionally with the finance department.... Co pay 25 per visit. Blood work and ultrasounds were covered by insurance. All meds were out of pocket and attained at a separate pharmacy.

As a hopeful single mother by choice, I am concerned about multiples. He [Dr. Morgan] therefore kept the dose somewhat low, and we agreed not to do IUI with injectibles on account of an increased risk of multiples. Given my age, he has recommended genetic screening of any embryos I may yield before transferring them. ... I feel as if the treatment plans are tailored to me personally.
They [Allen Morgan Fertility] have an online patient portal, which really streamlines communications and stores all of your test results. The clinic is clean and there is more than one location to accommodate your place of work. ... The staff is very friendly and I didn’t feel judged for proceeding with fertility treatment as a single person. They never made promises or said inapproriate things (I.e., “stay positive”, “it’ll happen”, “my friend got pregnant at 42”)
How was your experience with Allen Morgan at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey)?
My situation is different than most insofar as I have no known fertility issues, and have been using donor sperm. Given my age, we figured we would try a few IUI’s and then proceed to IVF. The doctor was realistic with me and provided statistics, so I was not upset when the IUI’s failed. I am moving to IVF and was explained the procedure and the statistics in that regard as well.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Allen Morgan at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey)?
To bring a list of questions to the consult and do some preliminary research on IUI/IVF in advance.

Three IUI’s with 50mg Clomid. As a hopeful single mother by choice, I am concerned about multiples. The co-pays are $50.00 a monitoring session. My estimate for one retrieval and 2 transfers is about $14,000 exclusive of medications and genetic testing.
Describe Allen Morgan's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey).
I believe we discussed only transferring one embryo in on account of concerns of multiples.

He [Dr. Morgan] does not do the monitoring appointments, but is usually available after the ultrasounds if patients have questions. He makes it a point to sit in an office near the nurse station so patients can approach him.... I think it was the standard antagonist protocol. He also likes patients to be on DHEA & COQ10 for a few months before retrieval to help with egg quality. The first time my follistim was about 250 units and Menopur 150. He did not have me on PIO shots, just endometrium.
Monitoring appointments [Allen Morgan Fertility] were generally quick with not more than a 30 minute wait....if you self pay they do work with you on the costs to discount services. They also have funding programs through ARC... All of the staff is very nice. This is not a fun thing to have to do, and they are all very pleasant. They have an online patient portal, so you get a phone call with your instructions, a text message to check the portal and then the detailed instructions on the portal to refer back to. If you have a question you can send an email to the patient portal and get a response within a few hours.
How was your experience with Allen Morgan at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey)?
I first saw Dr. Morgan in 2016. I would say he has become more personable since I first met with him. I don't need someone to be warm and fuzzy, just to the point, but I can see that Dr. Morgan has made an effort to become more empathetic and personable. He does not do the monitoring appointments, but is usually available after the ultrasounds if patients have questions. He makes it a point to sit in an office near the nurse station so patients can approach him. When I first met him he told me I would get pregnant with IVF. I though that was really bold since it doesn't work for everyone. But with both transfers he has done (single) I have gotten pregnant. Apparently I do not respond as quickly as others to stims, but he did not let me know that. I wouldn't say he was hiding anything from me, but not stressing me out over something I really can't control anyway. This I appreciated, we are already stressed out enough with all this. He patiently answered my questions (I tend to do a lot of research) and did not brush off things I had heard of working, but told me if he thought they would/would not help my case.

I think it was the standard antagonist protocol. He also likes patients to be on DHEA & COQ10 for a few months before retrieval to help with egg quality. The first time my follistim was about 250 units and Menopur 150. He did not have me on PIO shots, just endometrium. The second retrieval was 150 units of follistim and 75 of menopur. Both resulted in about the same number of eggs & blasts (there was 2 years almost between retrievals and in between i did another cycle with another doctor who used very high stims and I had terrible results, so more is not better). I have endometriosis and low stims typically are better. The second time he originally planned PIO shots, but my husband can't give them so I asked if I could just do crinone gel, and he agreed. My progesterone was low and I said I would take the PIO, but he just put me on oral progesterone as well.

Monitoring appointments were generally quick with not more than a 30 minute wait. With the first cycle I was on birth control pills for a bit to get on a schedule. With the second cycle I was not. I do not do well with birth control and maybe I was just lucky that timing wasn't an issue the second time (like if the doctor is at a conference or vacation), but I appreciated the flexibility to not force a schedule.

As I said before I only saw Dr. Morgan twice the whole time I was a patient of theirs but that was all I needed to get pregnant. He seems very knowledgeable and experienced in his field and I felt very confident we would get the results we hoped for.... Before you begin you have to have a procedure to check your fallopian tube‘s and make sure they are not blocked. After that I was put on Clomid to help me ovulate and given hormones to release my egg. After that I was given an IUI and became pregnant the first try
The office [Allen Morgan Fertility] is run like a well oiled machine. They don’t waste any time with unnecessary stuff they get right to the point and when they say they’re going to call you they call you. The staff and Dr. are very friendly although you don’t see the doctor very often. Matter of fact I only saw the doctor twice out of all the times I had to go. But as I said before that was all I needed to get pregnant . I felt very confident after my first visit that we were going to get pregnant. Out of all the doctors I’ve ever seen in my life I felt the most confident being a patient of his.

Dr. Morgan is very knowledgeable. Although I didn’t see him for every appointment, when I did, he explained everything about the next procedure. I never did a new procedure without seeing him first. As a patient it was very easy to trust his diagnosis and treatment because he was very confident about potential results.... Dr. Morgan was very respectful for our circumstances. He explained our options in a humble manner.
The strengths of the clinic [Allen Morgan Fertility] was the skill of Dr. Morgan performing multiple procedures. The weaknesses is pricing for IVF. I had hoped that through the clinic it would be a little less expensive then alternative groups.... The nurse care at Dr. Morgan’s office were absolutely superb. They always answered my questions, showed empathy to our situation and were very throrough with different results that could occur during all of the different procedures. They made themselves available all of the time.

Dr. Morgan was very respectful for our circumstances. He explained our options in a humble manner.
Describe the protocols Allen Morgan used in your cycles at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey) and their degree of success.
With Dr. Morgan we initially tried doing IUI. Unfortunately it resulted in negative pregnancy tests. During the time of IUI I used clomid. Because in our circumstance it was the male infertility factor, IUI was not going to be successful for us. After doing the IUI’s we moved on to IVF. During IVF I used many hormonal drugs. It was a very stressful process for me, but because I knew that it wasn’t the female factor I felt confident on my end for positive results. My husband on the other hand went through a lot, mentally. It was hard for us to hear about his infertility. Unfortunately it was extremely expensive as well. But, Dr. Morgan told us we could do ICSI to get a positive result and we did. We then decided to do PGS and freeze the eggs that remained after the embryo’s were all tested. I did one frozen embryo transfer and the result was our son that is a few months old today.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey). (Assigned nurse: Kelly)
The nurse care at Dr. Morgan’s office were absolutely superb. They always answered my questions, showed empathy to our situation and were very throrough with different results that could occur during all of the different procedures. They made themselves available all of the time.
Describe your experience with Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey).
The strengths of the clinic was the skill of Dr. Morgan performing multiple procedures. The weaknesses is pricing for IVF. I had hoped that through the clinic it would be a little less expensive then alternative groups.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Allen Morgan at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey).
IUI were all covered by my insurance however IVF was not. The medicine was extremely expensive as well as the cost of the procedure. We spent about $25,000 total for everything we did.
Describe Allen Morgan's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey).
Because of my age and the male infertility factor my Doctor seemed very confident doing a single embryo transfer. It resulted in a live birth of our son.

Dr. Morgan is a smart doctor and He diagnosed my endometriosis when other doctors ignored me. But he is always in a hurry, always sounded irritated with spending more than a few minutes answering questions and he had ZERO compassion. He had no idea how to treat a patient with any form of care. During an ivf consult where he told me 80% of my ovaries were covered in endometriosis and ivf was our only option. We were shocked at the price and he actually laughed & told us to think about the fact that it’s still less than buying a new car.
The day I was Told to stop my Meds I had to call the office [Allen Morgan Fertility] several times to get an answer. Around 4:30 (my results had been posted since 1 pm) she said to me “oh ya, Dr.Morgan wants you to stop all Meds and he will see you in a week” then tried to hang up withou any explanation!!! I was Crying and I said Wait what happened? She fumbled for words then said I just Didn’t respond to the Meds. ZERO compassion and most important answers or information !!

During an SHG, he walked in , sat down and while i was in the middle of asking what the SHG results will tell him, he shoved the speculum into my vagina without warning and ignored my question. Of course i knew what was happening but he has zero tact and has no idea how to treat a patient. Most doctors will give a brief warning. . I never Saw him during my failed ivf cycle but on one occasions he did my ultrasound. He walked Into the room, didn’t say hello to me and i just felt upset the entire ultrasound because of his cold demeanor. I never Made it to egg retrieval because after 10 days of stims I didn’t respond. On day 6 of stims I knew Something was wrong because my follicles weren’t growing. I questioned The nurses but they Insisted dr. Morgan said everything was fine and no changes were needed. I was never explained by him what happened .
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Allen Morgan at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey)?
I would tell them to look eisewhere. Infertility is an Increfibly hard journey and if your doctor doesn’t make you feel confident or ease your worries it’s going to cause a lot of unneeded stress. The stress the staff caused me was unbearable
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Allen Morgan at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey)?
I very Rarely got to actually talk to Dr.Morgan. When I requested to speak to him about results they either would say to make an appointment (and pay my copay) or that he wasn’t available. All communication was through nurses who never explained much and sounded very irritated with the more questions I asked. I was told i would have one IVF Nurse but multiple nurses who never knew what was going on with my case constantly gave me incorrect or inconsistent Information. I visited the officd 3x a week and most did not know my name and always looked angry. I never Felt confident with what I was being told. Dr. Morgan also had terrible bedside manner.
Describe the protocols Allen Morgan used in your cycles at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey) and their degree of success.
I started taking birth control pills for about 9 days, then started lupron, then I started gonal f and menopur. The explanations I was Given as to wat each did was brief by the nurse and I had To research most of it myself. I never Knew what the next steps were until they were actually happening, I was Told I was Taking the lowest dose of all the medications. Very little information which was incredibly worrisome but I was Just trying to make the best of the situation
Describe your experience with your nurse at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey). (Assigned nurse: Kelly h)
Kelly H was supposed to be my dedicated IVF nurse as for most part did as best a job she could. She was very caring but extremely busy all the time. Always in a rush on the phone and in person. A lot of my results calls including the call that my cycle was cancelled were made by Jennifer d. Who on their website s listed as a ultrasound tech and not a nurse. She clearly lacked any experience In how to talk to a patient or deliver bad news. The day I was Told to stop my Meds I had to call the office several times to get an answer. My next apppointment would have only been bloodwork and ultrasound so i would not have had a chance to talk to Dr.Morgan. Yet again. There was an ultrasound tech named Diana and she was phenomenal and the only reason I stayed so long before seeking a new dr
Describe your experience with Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey).
The clinics only strength wasyhe technology. Portal/emails receipts. Their waiting area was comfortable and neat. Other than that they were unorganized, unfriendly and unapproachable for questions. I was Told bad news in a front desk area numerous times where another patient checking in could hear if the window was open or if they walked by as it was near the exit
Describe the costs associated with your care under Allen Morgan at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey).
We were given a military discount and we paid $7800 upfront not including medications. They were in 3 checks . One was to embryologist lab, physician and cryopresertion ad storage. Once our cycle was cancelled before egg retrieval we called to pay for the monitoring visits upfront so we could get our money back. They had already deposited our checks. It took a couple of weeks to get the embryology and cryo checks back but they advised they had to wait until insurance approved the monitoring visits before we received the remainder. That took several weeks and then we owed the regular copays. The billing person Melanie was extremely kind, professional and explained things well.

I was also On metformin and I specifically told my ivf nurse several times that I felt like my heart rate was elevated and that I was Having facial twitches. She always said she would ask the dr but I never Got an answer. They never even followed up with my blood pressure. When I received my records to give to my new dr. All the records noted that I had Zero side effects which was untrue. My new dr. Informed me I should stop metformin immediately as I do Not have PCOS and was causing me stomach distress and other symptoms. There were numerous times where there were discrepancies in the dosage I was Verbally told and what was written on my portal. And many times where Jennifer d had no idea what other medications I had been on

Dr. Morgan did not explain things fully and was quite dismissive and distant. I was fine with it because I did not need to like him or feel warm fuzzies; I needed his skill set and it worked for us...Be prepared with the questions you want answers to as he will not explain much- if anything. Do not take his affect or personality personally and do your best to check your emotions at the door.
Patient, caring, helpful. She Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine nurse] really made the experience bearable. How was your experience with Allen Morgan at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey)?
Ultimately, he did his job and we were lucky and successful with our first IUI procedure. Dr. Morgan left much to be desired but his clinical staff made up for it. The hours were convenient and I did not have to miss work. Dr. Morgan did not explain things fully and was quite dismissive and distant. I was fine with it because I did not need to like him or feel warm fuzzies; I needed his skill set and it worked for us. Quickly worked for us, too. I think if I was unsuccessful under his care, I would detest him. I feel nothing toward him. His staff, particularly nurse Kelly was wonderful and helpful.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Allen Morgan at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey)?
Try him out if he is covered under your insurance. Be prepared with the questions you want answers to as he will not explain much- if anything. Do not take his affect or personality personally and do your best to check your emotions at the door. If you want someone to be sweet to you or be invested in your well being as a person, consider another practice.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Allen Morgan at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey)?
Dr. Morgan, himself, was distant, blunt, and not warm. His staff is his saving grace. They were responsive, kind and willingly to explain and discuss our care.
Describe the protocols Allen Morgan used in your cycles at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey) and their degree of success.
I do not remember all the strategies but I did have to spend a decent amount of money on two types of drugs that I luckily did not need in the end. That was annoying though-- trying to get the medications and trying to get them somewhat covered by insurance. I did get pregnant after 1 cycle of IUI but we did two inseminations (back to back days). One procedure was completed by nurse Kelly who was fantastic and other was completed by Dr. Morgan. I did have to have one injection at home that was emotional for me. I am impressed by the strength of women who have months- or years- of TTC. My year journey (and about a 1.5 months with Dr. Morgan were very taxing on me. I'd still do it again and am overjoyed with our sweet daughter. I wish we could afford to do it again to give our little love a sibling.

Describe your experience with Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey).
It was adequate. I liked the early morning hours for bloodwork and/or ultrasound so it did not impact my work day. It was stressful though because it did involve early morning wake ups and waiting outside as it is a first come, first serve for those mornings.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Allen Morgan at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey).
I think my insurance covered most and it was somewhere between 9-11 thousand. Please note that my genetic testing was done through my hospital at no cost and this was for one cycle of IUI.

Dr. Morgan was always very straight forward with the process and answered our questions accordingly when we had questions or concerns. He would interact with us with ease and was confident in his capabilities and the process.... We initially tackled my endometriosis and once we took care of that - it was about repeating the cycles with slight adjustments in dosages. We needed to prove "infertility" in order for our insurance to cover IVF so we tried as many times as possible with IUIs
Office times are flexible and they [Allen Morgan Fertility] are very responsive. They provide follow up phone calls and clear instructions for each individual. It is a good that they also have multiple locations...Their financial staff was very patient, caring and tried to make the financial aspect of the procedure as seamless as possible.... They [nursing staff] are certainly busy but they make the best of each individual's situation and they try to accommodate all of the nervousness, questions and concerns.

We initially tackled my endometriosis and once we took care of that - it was about repeating the cycles with slight adjustments in dosages. We needed to prove "infertility" in order for our insurance to cover IVF so we tried as many times as possible with IUIs (5 times) until we were able to produce enough times for the insurance to fully cover IVF. Once, we started trying IVF - it was a similar process but with more injections and adjustments of the dosages. Here is a sample: o Gonal F redi ject 75 units, take SQ injection in the evening o Menopur 75 mlU/ml, take SQ injection in the evening o 1/2 dose Ganirelix 0.25 mg, take SQ injection in morning o Metformin ER 500 mg o COQ 10 200 mg, take 200mg in PM o DHEA 25 mg, take 1 pill morning, noon & night o Low dose aspirin 81 mg

The IUIs were not covered by our insurance but finance office was understanding and provided with some discounts. We initially paid out of pocket for first IVF until insurance kicked in (about $7,000). Once insurance kicked in they refunded us our money and we were all settled. Their financial staff was very patient, caring and tried to make the financial aspect of the procedure as seamless as possible. Melanie worked very hard with the insurance and was also very forthcoming in fighting for us to get the treatments that we were supposed to have covered.

The doctor's approach was the more transfers the higher the percentages. Initial IVF was a singleton therefore first IVF trial was a single embryo but second IVF was two embryos so both were transferred back in. Turns out they both stuck!

Dr. Morgan oversaw all of my care, but I had a woman do 2 of the 3 IUI's and another man do my egg retrieval and transfer...I am not sure if I would return to him to go through the IVF process again. Part of me would want to find a dr that I am personally more comfortable asking questions and talking with. He had a way of saying he was the expert and not what I read or who else I knew that had gone through infertility.
[Morgan Fert ] wait times varied, bloodwork and ultrasounds were usually very quick and in and out in the waiting room..Waiting room is comfortable and decorated nicely. How was your experience with Allen Morgan at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey)?
Dr. Morgan oversaw all of my care, but I had a woman do 2 of the 3 IUI's and another man do my egg retrieval and transfer. I believe they both left shortly after. He came highly recommended by a few people in my area as for helping them successfully have a child or children after years of not being able to conceive. So I am of course very grateful for his knowledge and expertise in helping me have a child and achieve the end result. However, I am not sure if I would return to him to go through the IVF process again. Part of me would want to find a dr that I am personally more comfortable asking questions and talking with. He had a way of saying he was the expert and not what I read or who else I knew that had gone through infertility. I understand he is the one with the medical degree in this specific area, but I often felt like he diminished my questions or concerns. For example I could say what a friend had used and asked do you think that could help in my case and he would brush it off. I know every women or couple is different, but he could be a little gentler with his approach or understanding as to how someone in my case with unexplained fertility could be wracking her brain to know what is it? Anytime someone has asked me how I liked who I used, I've said he doesn't have the best bedside manner but got the job done. My husband didn't think he was as bad as I did to talk to. But he also did not interact with him as much as I did. I've met another woman who had success with him after 1 IUI and felt the same exact way, that he'd be nice to her husband and talk down to her. If it weren't for the compassionate nurses, kind ultrasound technician and easy to work with billing staff I would not have continued there. I went for a consult with one other dr. after the 3 IUI's were not successful, but I didn't love the next dr and it was further distance so my husband and I felt like we should just stay with him. I am so grateful I had success with my first egg retrieval and transfer and have a healthy child but talking with Dr Morgan is no where near as comfortable as talking to my regular male obgyn.

When I had the 3 IUI's and IVF, the practice was not as big as it seems to be now. I see they have several locations now where back then I felt like my office, Lakewood was his main office. So I felt like he, especially the other staff knew me.

Clomid with Ovidrel 1st IUI Gonal F and Ovidrel for 2nd and 3rd IUI's This was my choice to do a 3rd IUI, Dr. Morgan seemed to have recommended to move onto IVF, but I was wanting to try one more before moving to bigger process with IVF. For IVF Gonal F, estrace, Medrol, Lupron, Menopur, Metformin, Novarel instead of Ovidrel, Crinone 8% are listed under my file but I don’t remember the details.

I had a medical insurance plan that at the time covered all aspects of infertility treatment and medications. We were very fortunate to pay very minimal co pays and coinsurance %. I don't remember exactly but my estimate for meds was around $6000 before insurance.
Describe Allen Morgan's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey).
We did not do any genetic testing on the embryos and I don't remember it being made to sound so common or like part of the process like I have heard from friends going other places. Or maybe we just didn't consider it much because it would have been around $5000 out of pocket and we were fortunate to have so much covered at the time. We probably paid not even $2000 total through the whole process, counting meds and everything.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (formerly Women's Fertility Center of New Jersey).
We heard from the embryologist the day after the egg retrieval and she said we had 7 out of 7 eggs retrieved fertilize. She was very polite and professional. While I have heard many women have many more eggs (in the double digits usually) than I had retrieved, I felt good that I seemed to have very good quality. We had decided in advance (as we were explained to) we were going to put 2 eggs in as I was just over 30 at the time and pay to freeze any we had left over. We were scheduled to come back in for a day 3 transfer and took off from work, but very early that morning we were told to not come in and that we would wait 2 more days to see which embryos looked better. At that time I think there were 5 or 6. We heard nothing the next day and then the following morning we went in anxiously waiting to hear how many we had and no one told us until they were about to put the 2 in. They said that was all there was. There were none left to freeze. So this was something we would have liked to have known but no one told us. I forget if I asked at the front desk after waiting a little while and that woman said she didn't know and would have to find out, or if I didn't speak up. All I remember is how anxious we were to find out and it seemed strange that no one let us know until I asked while having my legs spread open waiting for the embryo transfer to go down (or should I say up) day 5. And it was disappointing to have gone from 5 to 2 embryos and no one tell us.

[Dr. Morgan] Seems to be very competent and knowledgeable, but bedside manner leaves something to be desired. He does not seem to have much compassion, and makes you feel rushed during the few times you actually see him....I felt like I was rushed once I got in to see the doctor, and he only did 2 of my IUI treatments. The second time he did one he was sort of abrupt when I voiced some concerns with him.... Fertility shots, clomid, iui treatments all combined.
Front desk staff [Allen Morgan Fertility] could be more friendly and patient. New patients should always be ready with payment when they are called. Ask as many questions as you need to, because they don’t always tell you everything you need to know.... Nurses made me feel very comfortable. The front desk and doctor, not so much. I felt like I was rushed once I got in to see the doctor... I was prescribed an antibiotic and told to take them all at once, but when I took them I got very sick.

Dr. Morgan was friendly and helpful. He did many tests and adjusted treatment accordingly. He was honest and caring. He didn’t lie or make you feel bad in anyway. He explained everything step by step and would even donate medicine when I was ready for iVF. I never felt like a number but a single patient like he had no others. Everything was done thoroughly. He even takes the time to reach out if you haven’t called in. From the consultation to every treatment including monitoring, he was always involved.
I love everything about the clinic [Allen Morgan Fertility]. From scheduling to testing everything is done thoughfuly. You don’t wait long and everything moves smoothly. The girls are amazing and so is the doctor. I will miss the staff when I no longer need to go.... The nurses are super friendly and compassionate. They always answer your questions and emails right away. They treat you like family. Not just a patient.

First was testing and blood work and pin pointing any issues. Which were discovered early on. Blocked tubes. Knowing which side ovulation would occur on. Figure it out what needed to be done after blood work like vitamins and medications. Starting fertility pills and monitoring ovulation. Then following with trigger shots and blood work

Dr. Morgan came highly recommended and I was thrilled that we chose him. We had a very successful treatment plan and it worked faster than I could have hoped for. My husband and I always felt like I was in the best hands and received the best care possible.... We tried just the chlomid and the shots and relations the first (3) treatments. The last treatment we decided to try the IUI since relations was not working on its own. Our first IUI we got pregnant. We just needed a little extra help.
All strengths, no weaknesses [for Allen Morgan Fertility]. The patient portal made communication extremely easy and convenient. The office ran smoothly and hardly ever a wait. They have a well oiled machine going on at Dr. Morgan's:)... All of the staff were friendly and genuine. You weren't whished in and out, they took the time to talk with you and were extremely helpful. Any question you had was answered quickly and you were made to feel that any concern was never silly.

Dr Morgan is great he is very truthful and he gives you all of your options and goes over the pros and cons and helps with what will be the right treatment for you. For me we ran a few test before we chose to try iui first with 2 negative pregnancy test we went forward with ivf...Dr Morgan will only transfers 2 embryos at a time. When transferring multiple embryos you run the risk of those embryos to split and therefore becoming high risk
Kelly [at Allen Morgan Fertility] was AMAZING!! Very hand on answer all my questions always called me with my results with my 3 negative pregnancies she showed real compassion and when I did become pregnant she shared in my excitement she alway made me feel like I was her only patient...The clinic is great they have everything you need Right there on site and will even open on weekends if they have too all cycles are different. It’s very clean and inviting . They also have a room for the men to do “there deed” they way it is fresh and it stays at the right temperature

While I didn't have much personal interaction with Dr. Morgan, he put me at ease during our consultation and I trusted him fully. I know he was reviewing all my information after each visit and always said hello when I saw him at the clinic, even when he wasn't performing the procedures...Ask all the questions you can during your consultation. He's extremely patient and very knowledgeable.
It's [Morgan Fertility & Reproductive Medicine] a beautiful space and makes you feel very comfortable. They are extremely prompt when relaying information and will answer any and all questions. They work around your schedule to make sure that the multiple appointments you need to have don't disrupt your schedule...The team was very attentive and lovely every step of the way. Whenever I had a question, I knew I could call and be treated with respect. Everyone was very knowledgeable and made me feel like we were all on the same team.

Dr Allen Morgan is one of the best I have met. Going in this process for the first time he made me to understand everything I needed to know. I will always recommend him to anyone that need this kind of treatment.... I think they should have ask me if I wanted a single transfer or multiple embryos but instead they just told me that one was enough because of the risk.... Always ask him and he will explain anything you do not understand better to you.
They [Allen Morgan Fertility] care for everyone. Is there strength. The weakness is that when a person lost their baby in the process there should be a program to help them get over it but they never call to check about that.... Monitoring appointment was every other day any it was great because they work around my work schedule.... The treatment cost us out of pocket until insurance started to cover it. The total cost was 18,000

He [Dr. Allen] was extremely professional and blunt from the beginning. I knew what I was getting from day one and I loved it. There was never any guessing. Dr. Morgan was always happy to answer all my questions and explain the process to me. He was also sensitive to the fact that I am Jewish and always wanted to follow Jewish law. I felt he had my best interest in mind. He made the experience as pleasant as it could have possibly been.... We did a dose of clomid in the beginning of the cycle. I would come in for ovulation monitoring and I would give myself ovidril when told to do so.
Every time I walked into the office [Allen Morgan Fertility], I knew I would be greeted with lots of smiles. The staff and Dr. Morgan were always there to answer all my questions. The experience isn't fun but they made it easier than I could have ever imagined...Everything done here was with a smile. I felt they wanted the best for me!... Though Dr. Morgan is a more serious to the point doctor, I always felt that he understood my concerns and treated me and my husband with respect. He would pop in during ultrasounds and pop out just as quickly. His nursing staff made up for the quick interactions with their compassion and excitement.... Don’t expect a warm and fuzzy doctor. Expect a doctor and staff who will do everything they can to make sure you end up with a positive experience
As a patient it is important to remember to have patience. The office [Allen Morgan Fertility] is very busy but the nurses will give you your undivided attention when it’s your turn. The only weakness I had was with the billing department and figuring out insurance information. As a new patient I had many questions that went unanswered until I made an appointment with the billing department.

I never saw doctor Morgan for any of my IUI’s, the nurse completed them. I did not see him until I did IVF....I got the results I wanted in the end but felt the doctor should have done my IUI’s. Maybe it would have worked if he had done them. I also feel he could be a little more compassionate and discuss more what he thought was happening with me and why I wasn’t getting pregnant.... You will feel like a number instead of feeling an important patient.
It’s crowed, the patients are always waiting but the facility [Allen Morgan Fertility] is very clean. The front desk staff as well as the ultrasound technician is very nice. The phlebotomist changed a few times when I was going there.... Kelly was very nice. I spoke to her about all my medicications and what my course of treatment was....I never saw doctor Morgan for any of my IUI’s, the nurse completed them. I did not see him until I did IVF.
