Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

He [Dr. Arroyo] feels that it will be safer to transfer one embryo at a time, to give that embryo the best chance to grow into a baby and potentially decrease risks of having multiples. Ultimately it is up to us...He takes the time to be thorough during office visits and he answers all of our questions... extremely easy to talk to. I appreciate that we have a plan in place every time we leave the office, results are communicated timely, and he is extremely honest. We are never rushed because he has another patient to get to and he tailors treatment to fit our needs.
Anna at the front desk [of Boston IVF] is always warm and welcoming. The phlebotomists are fantastic and very professional. The financial coordinator Abby is incredibly knowledgeable about the insurance processes, submitting PA requests, getting medications approved, and dealing with billing issues...Dr. Arroyo and his staff have been AMAZING...The nurses at his office are top notch as well. We travel 2.5 hours to and from appointments as we live in Buffalo, that’s how confident we are in Dr Arroyo and his staff. Doctor Nps

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Armando Arroyo at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center?
Fertility treatment can be a roller coaster, and I suggest consulting with different providers before selecting one to care for you during this sometimes crazy/stressful time. My husband and I saw a different provider locally and we felt like a number, not patients. Dr Arroyo has never made us feel that way. He wants the best outcome for his patient and is very honest.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Armando Arroyo at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center?

Describe the protocols Armando Arroyo used in your cycles at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center and their degree of success.
After failed IUIs and unpleasant experience at a different practice, we sought the help of Dr Arroyo at Boston IVF. My husband and I had already decided that since our failed IUIs we were ready to move on to IVF. After a lot of testing (ultrasounds, lab work, genetic testing, etc), I started my stimulation protocol of Gonal F and Menopur in December 2019. We had a successful retrieval in January 2020. Dr Arroyo was able to retrieve 9 mature eggs (I’m 38 and only have one ovary, so we were very happy with this number), 8 fertilized without ICSI, and 5 made it to day 5 embryos. We decided to freeze our embryos to give my body time to heal after the retrieval. My first transfer was cancelled in March due to my lab values and a growing follicle, and unfortunately due to the current pandemic all cycles are currently on hold. I am currently taking daily birth control until I am told by the office to stop and start taking my transfer protocol meds as soon as cycles are able to begin again. I will be taking Estradiol 6mg daily, then adding in IM progesterone injections every 3 days, and Endometrin twice daily.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center. (Assigned nurse: Jill, RN)
I don’t have enough words to fully describe how amazing the nursing staff has been. I appreciate that they all know what is going on with our care no matter who I talk to. Jill, Sara, and Jess have been AMAZING. They call promptly with lab results, give clear and concise instructions, and are always willing to listen and provide guidance. If they don’t know an answer (which is hardly ever) they get the correct information and call back timely.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Armando Arroyo at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center.
I had insurance that was used for my treatment from September 2019-February 2020. My costs were on average for office visits, diagnostic testing. My insurance plan carried a high deductible. Between medical services and medications for my IVF stimulation and cycle I met my OOP Maximum of $4200.
Describe Armando Arroyo's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center.
Due to my age, we were given the option to transfer either one or two embryos. He feels that it will be safer to transfer one embryo at a time, to give that embryo the best chance to grow into a baby and potentially decrease risks of having multiples. Ultimately it is up to us if we want to transfer one or two. My husband and I have discussed it and the plan is to transfer one for our first transfer, if that does not work, we may consider transferring two embryos the next time. We have 5 embryos, but we could not afford PGD testing, so we are currently under the assumption that statistically 50% of our embryos will not be genetically viable.

Dr. Klein was so great to work with (and to continue working with for our next cycle). Each time we met with him, I felt like he had studied our case and came to the appointment JUST for us! It felt like he was only treating us and not that he had many patients and needs to meet. We had an ectopic pregnancy and he was so thorough in explaining what was happening and how he was going to treat it that it took a lot of the fear away.
Each and every staff member at Boston IVF in Syracuse has been amazing. Everyone is so nice, so organized and friendly! They understand what a difficult experience infertility is and they all try to make the experience as great as possible...Everyone is so warm- from the front desk (Anna) and getting bloodwork (Courtney) and ultrasounds (Gretchen). It’s a pleasure to see everyone each time I go. The nurses had to give me a shot for my ectopic pregnancy and they were so sweet.
How was your experience with Maximilian Klein at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center?
My experience with Dr. Klein was great. He was so thorough and every time I met with him he came to each appointment so prepared. He was easy to understand and explained things in a way my husband and I could understand.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Maximilian Klein at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center?
Ask all the questions you want and need to ask for your peace of mind. If you don’t understand something he is more than willing to rephrase or explain it differently until you’re comfortable.

Dr. Klein did a frozen embryo transfer for us which ended in an ectopic pregnancy. In our follow up appointment he told us how next transfer he would lower the entry point of the catheter to try for a better outcome.

Dr.Bove always took time out of her day to reach out to me during our cycles. She truly cared about what I was going through and always was the first one to be my biggest cheerleader...She is very compassionate and empathetic...Dr. Bove monitored my estradiol and progesterone levels as well as my lining thickness to determine my medicine protocols. Typically I was on 6mg estrace orally and 4mg estrace vaginally daily until 5 days prior to transfer. Then I would add 1mL of PIO every 3 days and 400mg of endometrin...
The nursing staff [at Boston IVF] always returned my call before the end of the business day and always answered any questions I had...The clinic is very good at returning phone calls and following up. I have had a few issues with the staff communicating with each other. For example, I had a miscarriage and the nurse told me to still come in for my scheduled ultrasound just to confirm the loss. They failed to inform the ultrasound tech and that made a very difficult appointment much harder...
How was your experience with Erica Bove (Mahany) at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center?
Dr. Bove is hands down the best doctor I have had. She always answered any questions my husband and I asked, explained everything very thoroughly and most importantly gave us our son. She is very compassionate and empathetic. I trust her whole heartedly and value her opinion on every step we had to take throughout our infertility journey.

Besides personalizing care and being empathetic, she [Dr. Bove] is extremely detail-oriented and triple checks everything...was well prepared, had reviewed all our files, and tailored her recommendations to my unusual combination of medical issues...But my access to her has been extremely limited--an initial consult, a post-test-results consult, and no way to talk to her directly about issues that come up in between. How was your experience with Erica Bove (Mahany) at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center?
Besides personalizing care and being empathetic, she is extremely detail-oriented and triple checks everything--great qualities to have in a fertility doctor. She didn't dumb things down and was patient with all my questions. I have a really complex medical history and unlike most doctors I've seen, she didn't gloss over any of it and wanted to make sure she understood everything. She also offers good advice without forcing you down one path. I was agonizing about whether to delay treatment while taking care of another medical issue, and she was able to give a good assessment of how waiting might affect things personalized to my age and AMH/follicle count, while also understanding the psychological toll that waiting was taking on me. The flip side to her being so detail-oriented and rigorous was that I was a little overwhelmed by all the information she was throwing at me--being on Zoom may have made this more challenging. I ended up recording our second Zoom appointment on the phone--this is legal in NY state--just so I could refer back to any detailed information she provided. The one thing I wasn't happy about was that she didn't go over the risks of fertility treatment at all. It may have been because I had clearly done my research and was informed and knew what I wanted to do, but I still expected this to be covered. The fact that we had to spend so much of the appointment time going over my medical issues may have also played a role--she may have been short on time. I had to sign a document saying my doctor had discussed the risks, and I did--but we actually hadn't.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Erica Bove (Mahany) at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center?
She's helpful and will answer all your questions, but will not get to talk to her outside of limited appointments, so prepare and use the time wisely! Have a prioritized set of questions, and deprioritize anything you could call the nurses about. She can throw a lot of info at you fast, so either assign your partner to take notes or record the session.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Erica Bove (Mahany) at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center?
During my actual appointments with Dr. Bove, the care felt extremely personalized. She was interested in getting to know us as people, was well prepared, had reviewed all our files, and tailored her recommendations to my unusual combination of medical issues. Whereas my previous doctor at another clinic had looked at my age and nothing else, Dr. Bove took my entire history and workup into account. She was also very empathetic and sensitive and could sense what a hard time I was having with how long it was taking me to get pregnant. But my access to her has been extremely limited--an initial consult, a post-test-results consult, and no way to talk to her directly about issues that come up in between. And in between appointments, when I'm not talking to her, I have felt more like a number, even though this is a small clinic. I hope this changes when I finally start my treatment.
Describe the protocols Erica Bove (Mahany) used in your cycles at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center and their degree of success.
Dr. Bove recommended I go straight to IVF based on both my age and my desire to have more than one child. I haven't started my IVF cycle yet, but Dr. Bove said she would start with a higher dose of stims and then back off as needed. She said she wouldn't try to retrieve more than 10-20 eggs from anyone, even if that meant they would require more cycles, because it would be unethical given the medical risks--I really appreciated her honesty about this. She encourages PGT-A testing and single embryo transfer (in older patients like me, at least), if you can afford it.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center. (Assigned nurse: Erin)
I have only worked with Erin briefly as we prepare to start my IVF cycle, but she's always been very friendly and informative and called back promptly. She seems to anticipate a lot of questions I have and answers them from the start. She helped ensure we were able to start treatment as soon as possible. I've had more difficulty when I end up communicating with multiple nurses--perhaps because my primary nurse is off that day. I once received the wrong information from a different nurse about when I should receive an answer from my doctor about something. This made me anxious when I hadn't received the answer, and wasted both my and the clinic's time as I kept calling every day trying to find out why I hadn't received the answer. I also didn't receive a call about an abnormal test result and recommended medication for a few weeks after the result came in--I hesitate to blame the nurses, since I don't know if this is due to the nurses forgetting to call or the doctor taking a long time to review my results.
Describe your experience with Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center.
I have loved working with my doctor and nurse, but have some major problems with the bureaucratic and patient-unfriendly manner in which the clinic is run. The clinic does not have portal messaging enabled and requires almost everything to be done over the phone, which makes things incredibly stressful for people who don't work from home/in a private area. Every time I call the clinic with a question or an update, I get a live front-desk person who needs my name and DOB--but then she can help with very few things and almost always routes me to someone else's voicemail, so it's really no different than calling a phone tree that routes to voicemail. I can almost never get a live human to answer my question. I've also had different staff members tell me different things about when I'd get results or start treatment, and I've felt forgotten about--like when a follow-up appointment was never scheduled, and the doctors' requested follow-up actions not performed, after we did our initial round of testing. The nurses' line promises a call back the same day, and while most of the time this has happened, it hasn't always. The office, though small, is a complex bureaucracy to navigate. They have divided tasks narrowly between different staffers, which means you get a lot of "that's not my job" and have to hop from person to person and often land in voicemail/phone-tag hell. For example, when it was time to schedule our initial tests, I scheduled mine and then asked to schedule my husband's, and the nurse curtly said she didn't do that, but she could have someone call us about that. No one ever did. It seemed there was only one person who could schedule semen analysis, and my husband got transferred to her voicemail and waited days for her to call back, playing phone tag. Limiting such a simple task to one person really made our lives difficult. Another example is billing--the billing person does not order the medications, which makes sense, but as a result she cannot answer general questions about medication prices and insurance, and I don't see why she can't learn the basics so that we can talk to one person about the initial financial aspects--or it would have been helpful if she could have at least transferred us to someone else to talk to, so we could actually get an answer to our question. Even the first time I called to set up an initial appointment, I got transferred to the "initial appointments" line and had to leave a voicemail and wait by my phone. The physical atmosphere could be more relaxing. I really wish that for the early-morning appointments, they'd put the TV on mute with closed captions, rather than blaring it--I'm trying to relax before my appointment/procedure--and having a loud TV screaming into my ear at 7:30 AM is not great for that. And I do wish they'd ask their staffers to put pictures of their children in areas where patients--who don't need to be reminded about other people's children--cannot see them.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Erica Bove (Mahany) at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center.
A single round of IVF without ICSI was $8400. PGT-A testing for 5-8 embryos was $3600, with the cost adjusted up or down if more or fewer embryos needed to be tested. A frozen transfer cycle is $3000. Average estimated cost of medications for an egg retrieval cycle is $6000-$9000.
Describe Erica Bove (Mahany)'s approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center.
She was very encouraging of single-embryo transfer with PGT-A testing, if we could afford it. We decided to do this. I am unsure what her approach is for patients who cannot afford/do not want to pay for PGT-A.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center.
It took weeks to hear back about an abnormal value from my initial tests, which resulted in me losing time to treat it with medication. During my first round of tests on day 3, the ultrasound tech told me I'd get a call with results that afternoon and the blood tech told me I wouldn't get a call for diagnostic tests. The blood tech turned out to be right. When I asked for a doctor to review an outside test result that was crucial to my upcoming treatment, the first nurse I talked to said she'd call me with an answer the next day. No one called, and eventually I talked to another nurse who said the review would take a few days. The second nurse ended up being right.

With genetic testing, Dr. Arroyo discouraged multiple embryo transfer...never knew my case prior to our meeting, was constantly re-asking me questions, etc...provided very few details about his treatment plan, would always speak very vaguely. He never included us in decision-making or made any adjustments to the standard care plan. His bedside manner was awkward and made me uncomfortable on many occasions...I did one egg retrieval with fertilized with frozen sperm and did genetic testing on the embryos. I can't remember the medications or doses. Though I remained on several through 10 weeks of pregnancy.
There were several points where my treatment was delayed or nearly delayed by 4-6 weeks due to poor communication on the clinic's [Boston IVF] part...When I was getting treatment, the clinic was newly-established. The clinic itself was mostly easy to navigate. One challenge is that (at least at the time that I was receiving treatment), there wasn't a large enough patient population to support an embryologist on-site. This meant needing to sync up cycles with all patients undergoing retrieval or transfer so that an embryologist could come from Boston and do all the procedures in a single week. This led to a prolonged course of treatment that I hadn't expected.

He [Dr. Armando Arroyo] knew exactly who we were and what our details were at every visit...I had a very tricky schedule as I had moved to Canada before transfer. He was very good about arranging phone calls and making a protocol easier for travel. He is warm and always seemed happy to see us...Trust that he is part of a larger, highly successful team. He knows the latest research and is open to talking through your ideas. You have a voice in the path ahead. He is an interlocutor, not an authoritarian.
The main nurse [at Boston IVF Syracuse], Jill, was wonderful. First, there is one main nurse! At my last clinic, you saw a new person every visit. This clinic offers a single contact person which makes things MUCH easier. Jill knew exactly what our plan was and was always quick to get back to me to help organize meds etc. I "graduated" from the clinic at week 8 and she continues to email to check on us every three weeks!...This is a new clinic with a great staff. Abby at the front desk is cheerful and Mel is a wonderful embryologist who spent a bit of time to assist with moving my embryos across town and then prepping them for transfer. The blood and ultrasound team is also small, so you see the same faces often and they are all very good!
How was your experience with Armando Arroyo at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center?
He really gives patients the respect they deserve. I am a professor and I felt like my last clinic spoke to me like I was dumb all the time. Dr. Arroyo assumed I was knowledgeable and engaged with any research I had done and never dismissed it. We had good conversations and we felt very confident that we made a good choice to move clinics. I had a very tricky schedule as I had moved to Canada before transfer. He was very good about arranging phone calls and making a protocol easier for travel. He is warm and always seemed happy to see us.

Trust that he is part of a larger, highly successful team. He knows the latest research and is open to talking through your ideas. You have a voice in the path ahead. He is an interlocutor, not an authoritarian.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Armando Arroyo at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center?
Dr. Arroyo is a good mix of understanding and straightforward. He sat with us and looked at our results and talked to us about a treatment plan for my situation. At my last clinic most women were on the same protocol with a dozen medications. Dr. Arroyo showed me why I didn't need most of them. I spoke to him more in my six months at this clinic than I spoke to my previous specialist in 2.5 years. He called regularly as we organized moving embryos from another clinic. He attended most of my ultrasounds and helped me understand how things were progressing. He knew exactly who we were and what our details were at every visit.
Describe the protocols Armando Arroyo used in your cycles at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center and their degree of success.
This was my third frozen transfer (not PGS tested embryos). We debated another stim plus PGS of all, but I wasn't up for it. I had a lap/hysteroscopy before and that could explain success. I did a longer estrogen protocol than I was used to. My lining wasn't great so we gave it an extra week. I was on progesterone suppositories and shots (only ever 3 nights) up to 10 weeks pregnant. My previous transfers at another clinic I was on a dozen medications, many out of pocket and thousands of dollars. It was great to have fewer meds to keep track of. I made the process less stressful. We had two frozen day 3 embryos. Transferred 2 and now 19 weeks with a singleton!

Dr Vaughan was a great doctor with wonderful bedside manner. He made the extra effort to communicate outside business hours when needed, and he would always take the time needed to answer questions. He made the extra effort to get me scheduled for a procedure that needed to be done at an outside facility...[he] recommended a mock cycle with a biopsy as well as surgery to remove a uterine polyp. He provided a sound rationale for both procedures even though it would delay our transfer. He also performed my embryo transfer which was successful
[Boston IVF] is a small clinic but the staff is generally very nice and helpful. I chose this clinic over the much larger facility in our area because of this clinic’s good reputation and recommendation by my previous clinic...I was not happy with the first nurse assigned to me, as she was impatient with my questions and didn’t take the time to listen. I requested a change to a different nurse, which was granted without a problem. The new nurse was great and very helpful.
How was your experience with Denis Vaughan at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center?
Dr Vaughan always explained things thoroughly and we never felt rushed when meeting with him. He was very compassionate and informative. He would call after business hours when needed to address questions or provide updates.

[Dr. Klein] always made time for me. Remember specific things from past appointments and he's very personable...Always had a positive outlook and that was very appreciated during this stressful time. He was informative and respectful. He always took the time to make sure we understood everything that was happening and what the next steps were. It was very easy to work with him.
[At Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center] I was treated like a human, every single person I talked to knew my name. That was incredible for me. They are organized, working as quickly to get you in and out of your appointments, but not in a rushed way...The nurses are just as knowledgeable as the dr. I always felt like I was in good hands. They were able to answer questions and calm any concerns.

It's expensive, don't get me wrong. BUT - you get what you pay for. For a round of IVF (egg retrieval, transfer, including medication) we spent a little less than $20,000

[Dr. Bove (Mahany)] has a great bed side manner and has so far approached my fears/issues with complete sensitivity. She also taught me that a lot of what I thought was abnormal about my uterus was actually completely normal...Very kind and sensitive, throughly has explained my test results and what we should expect our plan to be in the next few cycles..
The [Boston IVF] appointments that are just to talk about results and such are through zoom. Which for me living an hour away is very convenient. So if you live a while out don’t be afraid to ask for tele-visits if possible...The nurses are very thorough and always make sure to get back to you when you have questions for the provider. They’re flexible and understanding of me living an hour from the clinic, especially if I have to reschedule last minute.
How was your experience with Erica Bove (Mahany) at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center?
Very kind and sensitive, throughly has explained my test results and what we should expect our plan to be in the next few cycles. Let me that my uterine scan would maybe be as painful as my HSG, which was an experience. But I’m in a better headspace to go in and know what to expect exactly.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Erica Bove (Mahany) at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center?
Ask every question, they won’t treat you like you’re dumb and they want you to be informed.

The doctor [Dr. Armando Arroyo] never greeted me. Never asked me what I wanted to accomplish. Nor asked me questions about myself to understand who I was... didn't want to talk through anything at all. He signed me up for a list of over 30 tests. Most that either I had already had done...Never once did he ask if I had any questions or concerns. Just "see you in 6 weeks for your follow up" and ushered me into another room to talk to a financial adviser. I have NEVER left a doctor being so confused as to what was going on, and I was in tears. It was AWFUL. If you are a woman, who is looking for help, he is looking for money, he does not care about your well being at all.
[Boston IVF- Syracuse Center is] a homey feeling clinic...The receptionist didn't know anything, and took 10 minutes to check me in. It is near impossible to find the office as its inside a huge building and when you use your GPS, good luck getting there. and The receptionist when you call for help can't help at all...I was handed off like a package [by the nurse], one for my weight, one for the 50000 questions they ask you, then one who's job was to talk to me about how I am going to pay for it. She literally said "Well, everything will be billed to insurance, but we don't know what they will cover, and you will have to pay the rest." Which didn't help me at all.
How was your experience with Armando Arroyo at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center?
I was sat down in Dr.Arroyo's office, and told that he would talk with me about everything. He said okay, you have PCOS. Great, your options are get pregnant or get on birth control. That was it. I tried to ask various questions about managing my hormone levels, and he brushed off the questions. I told him what my concerns were and he pretty much didn't care. He told me that it was what he planned or nothing. And didn't want to talk through anything at all. He signed me up for a list of over 30 tests. Most that either I had already had done, or were absolutely un-necessary, as validated by another doctor later. Never once did he ask if I had any questions or concerns. Just "see you in 6 weeks for your follow up" and ushered me into another room to talk to a financial adviser. I have NEVER left a doctor being so confused as to what was going on, and I was in tears. Describe the protocols Armando Arroyo used in your cycles at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center and their degree of success.
Dr. Arroyo wanted me to do 30 different blood tests, including genetics, STD (I have never had a positive pap in my life and had just had one done a few weeks earlier), wanted me to come and do about 6 different ultrasounds, and have my husband do a semen test. NONE of these were actually needed ( as told to me by my new doctor).

I have no idea, because the financial person could not tell me what ANYTHING was going to cost. I thought I would walk away with an idea but nope. She didn't know and had nothing she could tell me, even with what my insurance would cover, even though the whole point of sending my insurance information in early was so that I could have an idea of the costs ahead of time.

Dr. Klein was very sympathetic to our previous and recent miscarriages. At our follow up appointment to go over the results of our testing he remembered personal details from our previous appointment...During a very difficult time being under Dr. Klein’s care has been reassuring. Not only does he have an incredible “bedside manner” he is clearly an expert in the field and I am lucky to have him as my physician
You definitely don’t feel like a number when you visit the office or call [Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center]. I feel like it is more intimate and you are treated individually depending on your circumstances. My only frustration is not being able to send messages through the portal...Everyone we met has been great...will thoroughly go through all possible causes and do the appropriate testing

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Maximilian Klein at Boston IVF - The Syracuse Center?
During our initial consultation Dr. Klein was very sympathetic to our previous and recent miscarriages. At our follow up appointment to go over the results of our testing he remembered personal details from our previous appointment. He was excited to learn that we had a positive pregnancy test THAT morning. Unfortunately that pregnancy resulted in another miscarriage. Again, we were met with compassion by Dr. Klein. We look forward to beginning IVF in January.

He [Dr. Armando Arroyo] never knew our names and had the same exact meeting with us TWO times and didn't know it until my husband reminded him...He seemed like a nice enough guy and did explain things to us but he should have had a nurse in the office when he was explaining the plan to us because once we got outside his office everything was different...We were doing a few rounds of letrozole and trigger shots with relations then going to IUI.
once I tried to pay [at Boston IVF- THe Syracuse Center] and they told me I had no balance. When I left the office they called/emailed me IMMEDIATELY asking me to clear up my balance that didn't exist a few minutes earlier. If only they called with MEDICAL information as quickly as they called to collect money...Some [nurses] were very nice, some literally never spoke to me when doing 10+ minute ultrasounds. One nurse checked me in as the wrong patient and started a procedure on me as said patient!! I only found out because the doctor called me the wrong name!

Dr. Klein is very down to earth and very patient with every questions we’ve had throughout the process thus far...We are still in the process of figuring out what our specific treatment plan is but throughout our appointments thus far, Dr. Klein has been very clear, concise yet compassionate in discussing our options with us. Dr. Arroyo was super friendly! He seemed to repeat himself a lot but was very knowledgeable. He explained stuff so one would understand if they had no knowledge of the process. I learned a lot. I think we saw him about 4 or 5 times...He is good at what he does but can be a little weird, if you are not comfortable with someone commenting on your insides then don’t meet with him but if it doesn’t bother you he will get the job done, fast!
The nursing staff [at Boston IVF] is outstanding! So happy and nice! They were so excited for us when we got our positive result! They were super responsive when i called or emailed and always answered my questions...You don’t meet the doctor often the nurses seem to do everything...Their scheduling is super early and doesn’t work around many work schedules

You don’t meet the doctor often the nurses seem to do everything. The nurses and receptionist are literally amazing! So welcoming and personable! Their scheduling is super early and doesn’t work around many work schedules (it did mine; thank god) but i highly recommend this clinic

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
Dr arroyo was polite and respectful. He made us feel like we were “normal” even though we have been feeling like something is wrong with us. He addressed our fears and worries and reassured us that we WILL get pregnant one way or another :) ... I felt like Dr. Arroyo addressed my concerns and talked to me as if we were on the same level. He does a very good job of giving information while also treating you with kindness
Boston ivf in Syracuse is a brand new clinic and it is beautiful. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and I have very little wait time when I get there. They have been great about scheduling appointments and taking my phone calls ... We are just starting out so I am not sure what it will all cost but their rates are pretty decent! ... So far we have had a consultation and baseline blood work & an ultrasound for my follicles and uterine lining. We will go back for a follow up appointment early March and starting iui when my March cycle begins
