This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.
For more information please see our FAQs.
Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

Describe the protocols Kimberly Schumacher (OB/GYN) used in your cycles at Chena OBGYN and their degree of success.
Began with diagnostic including vaginal ultrasound. Found endometrium was very think and diagnosed endometrial hyperplasia. Underwent D&C to remove excess buildup of endometrium. After D&C was on daily progesterone for six months. After six months did biopsy and ultrasound to confirm that endometrium was now normal. Proceeded with fertility evaluation. Conducted HSG to evaluate Fallopian tubes. Found complete blockage of one tube.
Continued with fertility treatments. Started with lowest dosage of clomid prescription to encourage ovulation. After evidence of clomid success moved forward to clomid + IUI. After 5 unsuccessful rounds of IUI added follicle check and HCG trigger shot to process. Have found that most ovulation occurs on side with blocked tube. Proceeded to have two more IUIs with trigger shot when follicle check showed mature follicles on unblocked tube. After no success Dr. has recommended removal of blocked tube via laparoscopy. This will also give her the opportunity to better assess the environment and remove any endometriosis if found. Planning to undergo this surgery in the next few months. We will then proceed with additional attempts at home and possibly via IUI.
