This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.
For more information please see our FAQs.
Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.
I thought that he [Dr. Michael Grossman] was very good. I only had him so far for my retrieval. I still have yet to have my FET. I was told to make sure that I ask the questions to be answered because he does not volunteer information. So if any one does see him, make sure you ask your questions before you go under anesthesia...I had a really good NP or PA who was able to help me dig deep into the rationale behind all the meds and the other meds that I was taking that I thought had nothing to do with my actually treatment.
I think that this clinic system [CNY Fertility Center] is busy. I expected to be treated well, and I was, but I will always compare my experience to how I was treated in Barbados...The files are open to all the providers and they consult each other on these cases. The protocol was different for me based on the other facilities I had gone to. I had a really good NP or PA who was able to help me dig deep into the rationale behind all the meds and the other meds that I was taking that I thought had nothing to do with my actually treatment. The biggest thing with this clinic (and all the ones I have encountered except Barbados) is communication.

I think that this clinic system is busy. I expected to be treated well, and I was, but I will always compare my experience to how I was treated in Barbados. Overall I was still happy with the treatment at CNY in Albany/Lantham

CNY works as a system overall. The files are open to all the providers and they consult each other on these cases. The protocol was different for me based on the other facilities I had gone to. Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
Overall I was very happy with the staff. The clinic system does not have a primary patient coordinator. Since this is a remote treatment situation for me, communication through the portal and phone calls. It has been difficult getting somethings explained in detail until you actually call and explain what you need.
in my case it was my medication and supplement list.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
The one in Albany, Beautiful! a log cabin feel. Then they gave me a plush warm rob and the setting is no where near a hospital feel. I was very pleased with this and it made me feel really comfortable and at ease.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at CNY Fertility Center.
I have to go to a local facility (Texas Children's Pavilion for Women) and do remote monitoring.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center.
This clinic is the cheapest clinic for the basics in America.
Describe Michael Grossman's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
My understanding is that Dr. G will do what the pt wishes in reason but prefers to do 1. The NP explained the rational further for me and all the reasons for me, at my age, should have 1 at a time for FET.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
I went to ATL remote clinic to get plasma replacement and wanted to make sure my partner would be able to get his sperm sample done at the same appointment, ( he was not going to be able to come to NY with me.) They had him scheduled for lab in ATL, but not the donation. It was an easy fix, but it was not scheduled as requested.
[Dr. Grossman is] big on the autoimmune protocol, which was great for me because I have Hashimotos. So they had me on things like low dose naltrexone and prednisone, through our egg retrievals and transfer. They also had me on prograf and lovenox for our frozen embryo transfer, on top of the normal meds...made sure we never had any questions before any procedure. He was nice and straight forward. He was our doctor for our two egg retrievals and one frozen embryo transfer. Procedures were quick but went well.
The advice I’d give all CNY patients is to be your own advocate and join the CNY fb group. Because CNY is a low cost clinic, they don’t hold your hand through every step. The doctors, like Dr Grossman, are available for consults but, for the most part, they just perform the main procedures and leave the rest to the nurses...As a travel patient, we dealt mostly with the nurses on the travel team. They were all wonderful and got back to us quickly. They answered all our questions in a timely manner and were very organized.

We loved our experience with CNY but it’s not for everyone. They don’t hold your hand, so you really have to be your own advocate and do your own research. But their treatment is up to par with the first fertility clinic we saw, which was three times the price of CNY.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center.
An IVF cycle is $3,900 plus $450 for a frozen transfer, plus monitoring. But we were travel patients and monitored in our home town.
Describe Michael Grossman's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
If you’ve done PGS testing on your embryos then CNY typically will only transfer 1 embryo at a time.
I can't speak much to my experience with Dr. Grossman, mostly because I never met him. I only spoke with him twice, once for my initial consult before starting my cycle, and once after my egg retrieval which went poorly...Both times he honestly didn't have much to say. It felt like our conversations were directed by me and my questions rather than him offering any information or thoughts. He only gives what you ask for and even then it's not much.
CNY is a busy clinic, with a high volume of patients. It appears as though the only way they can handle it all is to streamline treatment. You often feel like you are just a little cog in a big wheel churning around you...The only strength is that it's affordable...things are dirty, staff seem miserable, and the doctors are MIA. Dr. Kiltz heavily pushes his keto diet (to all patients regardless of their specific issues) which he's modified for fertility and quotes ZERO research around it.

I can't speak much to my experience with Dr. Grossman, mostly because I never met him. I only spoke with him twice, once for my initial consult before starting my cycle, and once after my egg retrieval which went poorly due to only resulting in one poor quality embryo (after having 12 follicles retrieved), to discuss next steps and review things. Both times he honestly didn't have much to say. It felt like our conversations were directed by me and my questions rather than him offering any information or thoughts. He only gives what you ask for and even then it's not much.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
Don't expect much, you're your only advocate, so don't rely on him to advise you or provide you with much information.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
I never actually met Dr. Grossman. CNY is a busy clinic, with a high volume of patients. It appears as though the only way they can handle it all is to streamline treatment. You often feel like you are just a little cog in a big wheel churning around you. I traveled from out of state, and had all consults and meetings with my Dr. prior to my cycle through the phone, and once I arrived it wasn't until I had my retrieval that I actually saw a Dr at all (and I did all my monitoring there). Even then, it was a different RE than the one I'd been working with.
Describe the protocols Michael Grossman used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
Stimulation via 300 IU Gonal F, 150 IU Menopur, 4.5 mg LDN daily until trigger, adding in .25 mg Cetrotide in the morning on cycle day 9 continuing until trigger. Triggered with Lupron. I did well on these meds, no big side effects, had 14 follicles and retrieved 12. I had done a mini stim cycle with a different clinic before coming to CNY and didn't get many eggs, so this was a more typical level of higher stimulation and I did better with it. However it clearly didn't matter since I only ended up with one 6cc embryo.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
Ok, so one thing to note here is that I was getting treatment during the start of Covid-19 hitting NY. Things changed quickly, and while everything around us was shutting down, the clinic stayed open to finish out patients who were mid-cycle (me). That may have affected things. My experience of the nurses was that they were busy, unhappy, stressed out, and stretched thin. Never very friendly, you're always meeting with someone different, and they didn't seem very professional either. One left the room at one point because she couldn't find our consent on her computer, and went to go ask about it. She left the room with her computer open and pointed at us, and we were actually able to see our consent file right there by searching ourselves. That lack of professionalism was appalling to say the least. Not only was she unable to find something staring right at her, but she left patients in the room with her computer open with access to confidential files. Yikes. Also, the clinic felt pretty dirty. Not sure if that's on the nursing staff, but it was unsettling especially given the virus.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
The only strength is that it's affordable. That's why I went here. I have no coverage, and that leaves me with options like this one. The weaknesses are that it's seeing a high volume of patients, and therefor we're all just numbers. You see a different person every time, appointments are in and out before you have a chance to remember what questions to ask, sometimes they don't even take time to review your meds with you, things are dirty, staff seem miserable, and the doctors are MIA. Dr. Kiltz heavily pushes his keto diet (to all patients regardless of their specific issues) which he's modified for fertility and quotes ZERO research around it. He also promotes CBD products with ZERO research or information available on CNY's website as to how its helpful vs. harmful. It feels very much like CNY is a wellness brand vs. and actual medical facility.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center.
3900 for a cycle not including meds (those were another 3500) this was without insurance.
Describe Michael Grossman's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
Their protocol is to only transfer one, unless it's a special scenario or they are pushed by the patient.
I didn’t have tons of interaction w him [Dr. Michael Grossman] other than the FET, but he was a kind, efficient doctor and professional. I had a different protocol this time around, which felt encouraging to me to try something different as we hadn’t had much success at this point...Just be willing to ask questions and go after the information that you need. CNY is a busy place, so you need to make sure you’re clear on everything.
The staff at CNY are very friendly. You do have to ask for help if you want it - they don’t hand hold unless you request it...Super affordable compared to other places, and great financing options. Their pricing is the only reason I am able to move forward.

Other supportive measures, which included steroids, intralipids, and HCG boosters.
I don’t recommend the boosters as it makes results confusing. I’d prefer to try the HCG wash instead.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
There were a few things that got dropped - I wasn’t notified that the HCG wash and intralipids needed to be done the day prior to transfer. Other than that, they were responsive and helpful.

Nothing major, but I had meds ordered that were supposed to be administered the day before. The problem is I flew in for treatment and it was impossible to change things around last minute to do so. However, we found a workaround, so it worked out in the end.
He [Dr. Grossman] was very open to listening to us...Learning everything possible about our unique needs and was open to the things we brought to him. He was willing to look at treatments that we brought to him that might improve our chances and even willing to modify our treatments based on the information when he found merits to the info...He was straight forward with us and didn't try to sugarcoat things....
they [nurses at CNY Fertility Center] go out of their way when you tell them what you need/want...they are respectful of your knowledge about your situation and are open to exploring new or different treatments that you might bring. they have a great online presence and lots of information available to everyone not just their patients including the doctors doing live talks online with anyone interested to ask questions or discuss certain topics...
How was your experience with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
He was very open to listening to us. He was respectful of the fact that this was extremely important for us and that we put in a lot of time Learning everything possible about our unique needs and was open to the things we brought to him. He was willing to look at treatments that we brought to him that might improve our chances and even willing to modify our treatments based on the information when he found merits to the info. This was huge many doctors would never listen to a patient in this was and respect their Medical knowledge almost as an equal. He was straight forward with us and didn't try to sugarcoat things when we told him we preferred not to have that kind of communication. He had no issues with the fact we are LGBTQ and he also didn't make assumptions about what we were Looking for in our treatment or who would be the carrier etc. overall it was a good experience and he is great at giving you what you ask for so long as you can express your needs he was happy to meet them.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
the one piece of advice is to be a self advocate and tell them what you want and need if you do that you'll have a good experience.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
cny is great for people who can express their needs and/or do their own Research and know what they want. At every turn CNY and the doctor went above and beyond when I told them what I needed. they never charged me extra money for any of the extra time and things that we asked for (and there were a lot of things like getting KNOWN Donor sperm from a Sperm bank that required extra paperwork and time for them, setting up our cycle to share our eggs with another couple to cover our own costs and they handled everything that would have cost the other couple way more then the $9,000 split cycle/donor cycle cost at another place like legal paperwork, answering a million questions, giving us updates on the Development of Embryos, giving us pictures of embryos...) The doctor was knowledgeable but was happy to listen to you and respect your decision. the doctors also were very understanding that this was extremely important for us and that lots of us spend large amounts of time doing extensive research on our diagnosis or treatment and they are always willing to listen to what you have found and are open to trying new treatment options that you bring to them after they look at it themselves. this for us was amazing we have talked to fertility doctors all over and most are not usually truly respectful of the knowledge that a patient brings to the table and often they are not willing to even look into anything that someone brings them that they aren't familiar with so having a doctor who was not only respectful of it but sincerely interested and willing to look into and even try new things was great.
Describe the protocols Michael Grossman used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
we had a initial retrieval with a different doctor and dr. Grossman learned from that retrieval and slightly increased our gonna-F does and extended our stimms by a few Days to get more mature eggs even if that means that we might have stimulated past our lead follicle. he explained very clearly the benefit vs risk of potentially stimulating past the lead follicle and gave us the choice allowed us to feel in more control. it seems to have been more effective as if we would have done retrieval at the standard time about 1/3 of our follicles still would have been under 10mm
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
Again they go out of their way when you tell them what you need/want. Wonderful people all around was our experience. of course you have to have reasonable expectations like if you're not in a emergency situation you should expect that it might take a day to get back to you but they always get back to you and they actually find the answers for whatever you need even if they don't know they find out.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
its a large group that takes on a lot of people many of them people that other clinics refuse to give treatment because they don't want their success rates lowered when it takes them a bit longer to get pregnant so this means that you have to self Advocate and tell them what you need. lots of people go to them with knowledge and experience in Fertility treatments and they don't need or want a lot of hovering and handholding but they are happy to do what you need when they know what that is. they are affordable and have support available to you if you ask. they are respectful of your knowledge about your situation and are open to exploring new or different treatments that you might bring. they have a great online presence and lots of information available to everyone not just their patients including the doctors doing live talks online with anyone interested to ask questions or discuss certain topics. overall its amazing for what it is

Describe Michael Grossman's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
Again they give you very clear understanding of the facts for both options and they will tell you that its preferred by most Medical bodies to do single Embryo transfers but they seem to be better then many about allowing the Patient to Direct their care in a reasonable way. i don't think for one second if we went in and said we want triplets because we think its cool and we want you to put in 3 high grade blastocyst Embryos at 34yrs old that he would have done that. However going to them with a rational discussion like we have failed previously, we don't have pgt testing and or grading isn't wonderful he is willing to work with you
Dr. Ditkoff was extremely thorough. He went over all of my past history and treatments, as well as tests. He even ordered them to be done again just to make sure nothing was left out. He went over which treatment plan would be best for us and when the best time would be to start. I truly appreciate him being thorough and explaining all of my results. The doctor I had seen prior never did this and told me I needed surgery and that his nurse should have told me over the phone 4 months prior! Dr. Ditkoff had these tests done again and went over what the issue was and why I need surgery in order to have successful IVF treatments there after.
The only thing they [CNY Fertility Center] could improve upon is hold time when you call. Sometimes I get through immediately, sometimes I'm on hold for over 10 minutes. Other than that, they are fantastic. ... We have to pay out of pocket and they are very understanding of this, they also work out in house payment plans. They are the only reason we can afford to have any IVF treatments at all. They are literally our only hope in conceiving a baby.

They are the only reason we can afford to have any IVF treatments at all. They are literally our only hope in conceiving a baby. The costs total $5,000 for one egg collection and transfer. Each transfer after that is only $450. The pharmacy they refer to is extremely low cost was well only charging us $4,500. To understand this better, our area in NJ wanted $34,000 for the same treatment and medication.
Describe Edward Ditkoff's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
We are able to try both. But he strongly suggested eSET due to my medical conditions. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and could possibly face premature birth.
Dr. Kiltz spent over an hour on the phone with my husband and I discussing our health, history, and steps moving forward. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and professionally. We could tell he was passionate about his work and we are beyond hopeful to finally do this and hopefully will be carrying our first baby within the near future. I can text or call him and he responds right away. I haven’t emailed him yet, but there is that route available if necessary...took mine and my husband’s health, and pre-existing conditions into consideration for our first IVF treatment. He recommended I go on a keto diet because a lot of what I was experiencing was due to inflammation. My husband and I have lost weight since taking Dr. Kiltz’s advice. I’m not a medical professional so I can’t speak to the medications that were ordered for me. I’m new to this whole process so I don’t have a lot to share.
Whenever I email the nurses [at CNY Fertility Center], they always answer me promptly. When I call, they’re always very helpful and put me at ease. The only negative thing is that when messaging them through the online portal, you can’t reply to their messages...Their nursing and financial team are great. Dr. Kiltz is great. Unfortunately I haven’t dealt with anyone else. They make IVF affordable for all who are trying to achieve their dreams of having children. I didn’t receive the greatest care at other fertility places but at CNY, they treat you with respect, like family and they have monthly IVF grants to help pay for IVF cycles. I’m excited for this journey and for CNY to help my husband and I become first time parents!
How was your experience with Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
I have not yet begun my IVF process since I am waiting for my first cycle to arrive so I can start. When my husband and I consulted with Dr. Kiltz, he was friendly, engaging, explained things so that we’d understand, and offered his cell phone, email and told us to contact him whenever if we had further questions or concerns. What doctor does that??? I have not met a doctor that offered their private cell phones to patients!

The doctor [Dr. Michael Grossman] was kind and has a good bedside manner though he does tend to speak fast and mumble. Make sure if you are unclear on anything you ask him pointed questions. He seems like he genuinely wants to help but is overwhelmed by the volume of patients he sees every day...We are in the midst of our 4th donor egg cycle with no success. We have used immuno protocols due to a history of miscarriage. We have tried alternative therapies such as acupuncture to increase our odds of conception.
Research as much as possible because If you don’t come in armed with questions, they [CNY Fertility Center] will not volunteer information...The nurses are very difficult to communicate with. It is rare that you will hear from the same nurse twice and they don’t check your chart before responding so be very careful with watching your medication instructions. If you’re going the donor egg route, the entire department is overwhelmed and it can take days to get a response at times.

Despite being told we would be contacted with dates of treatments, pregnancy test results, fertilization reports, we had to constantly chase the nurses down for this information. My medication lists were not updated, they left my personal health information on a stranger’s voice mail. They don’t treat my partner like he is part of the process, will not communicate with him. It has been a very disappointing experience and I wish we had read more reviews before choosing this clinic.

If you’re going the donor egg route, the entire department is overwhelmed and it can take days to get a response at times. The nurses called a random wrong number and provided them with my private medical information related to our embryos. I have to call several times to get pregnancy test results and they’re not very compassionate when delivering bad news. The nurses in the room are nice when you go in for your transfer but otherwise it’s been a bad experience.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
The communication is severely lacking. While the pricing looks attractive, I would never recommend this clinic to someone pursuing pregnancy through donor eggs. Their SART scores are really low for a reason and if you ask them for any explanation they chalk it up to bad luck or say they don’t know why things aren’t working. This is technology backed by science-there should be answers other than cross your fingers and hope for the best.
Describe Michael Grossman's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
The doctor was hesitant but did transfer more than one frozen three day embryo at our request.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
They did not call with fertilization reports or pregnancy test results.
Dr. Kiltz sees many patients so it is not always easy to get time with him. However when it’s very important he makes time. I see the nurses every visit and if I can’t communicate with him directly I can do so through the nursing staff...prepared to take a lot of initiative on their own...For my current cycle we are priming with estrogen, testosterone and Omnitrope and doing a Lupron microdose protocol...makes personal phone calls to patients. He also offers his personal cell phone number. When things don’t go as hoped, he is compassionate and eager to make changes to protocol to improve results next time.
Because it is low-cost [at CNY], we are able to do more cycles which gives us a better chance at a successful pregnancy. Conversely it is very busy with numerous patients and you won’t get the same degree of handholding that you would at other clinics...Niccole [nurse] has been my rock in this process, even though she is currently back in school she always makes time to communicate with me either through the patient portal or via phone call. She is also a great liaison with the doctor staff.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
I would tell them to not expect a lot of handholding and that they should be prepared to take a lot of initiative on their own.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
Dr. kilts, despite treating thousands of patients, makes personal phone calls to patients. He also offers his personal cell phone number. When things don’t go as hoped, he is compassionate and eager to make changes to protocol to improve results next time.
Describe the protocols Robert Kiltz used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
Initially I was started on a high dose protocol, 450 gonal and 150 menopur. I also primed with Omnitrope before beginning my cycle. This protocol resulted in cancellation due to poor response. The next cycle we went with 150 gonal/75 menopur and four follicles were retrieved. Two were mature, and only one fertilized which was frozen at day three. For my current cycle we are priming with estrogen, testosterone and Omnitrope and doing a Lupron microdose protocol.
Describe your experience with your nurse at CNY Fertility Center. (Assigned nurse: Niccole Davey)

Describe the costs associated with your care under Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center.
$3900 per ivf cycle
Describe Robert Kiltz's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
CNY encourages single embryo transfer, however with women over 40 they are open to multiple.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
I always try to coordinate with one nurse, because sometimes different members of the nursing staff will give different information.
He [Dr. Grossman] was honest, given my age, about the chances of success. Was willing to listen to my input and answer my husbands questions so that he really understood what was going on. He let me be the emotional hot mess that I was (we’ve been trying for 4 years and have now miscarried twice) during the process... We used omnitrope for priming due to my age and a combo of menopur and gonal-f
They [CNY - nurses] were very friendly and didn’t mind my 8y old twins being around. They understood that this is a family affair for us, our children want a sibling, and let us keep them involved as much as we wanted them to be. It was important for me to have them there with us... Communication is something they could work on with their travel team and out of stare patients. It would’ve been nice to have the prices for acupuncture and massage available before making a decision

Communication is something they could work on with their travel team and out of stare patients. It would’ve been nice to have the prices for acupuncture and massage available before making a decision to have the treatments done. I was surprised when I went up and almost cancelled it due to cost since we already spent so much money that cycle. Other than that it was good.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center.
Meds were almost $4000 but would’ve been more without discounts and the few that were covered by my insurance. Cycle was 4750$ with financing fees. Travel was $2000 at least.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
There was a disconnect between cny and my monitoring facility. Results wouldn’t be conveyed and I ended up finding them out on my own or from the monitoring facility first.
He [Dr. Grossman] was very kind to me and explained each step he was going to do. He remembered our phone consult and when I came back for my transfer!... He took the time to make sure I understood the procedures and risks that could appear. He didn’t seem to rush anything and answered all of my questions. He can have a dry sense of humour, which maybe people don’t like, but I found him funny and caring!
The clinic [CNY] is fabulous! Even the atmosphere when you walk in is so relaxing. They are very busy, so the only thing I find is you have to keep on top of everything. If you have a question or concern, email/call the nurses right away.... Nurses at the Albany office are great! I was so nervous going in a few times, but they make you feel so comfortable. Sheila Miller is one of the nurses I have really been keeping in touch with.

I seem to have used a pretty standard protocol for my egg retrieval. Menopur 75u & gonal 225u then added my cetrotide in and a double lupron trigger. I had 21 eggs retrieved, so I felt pretty confident it was a good cycle. I responded well to the medications and stimmed for 8 nights. After retrieval I felt okay as well, which is what I was hoping for!

Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center.
The cost is so reasonable. It of course is still expensive, but much more affordable than other clinics.
Describe Michael Grossman's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
He explained the pros and cons of transferring one or two embryos. He didn’t seem to persuade my choice, just explained what he thought was best and let me decide.
Dr. Ditkoff discussed possible treatments before and after diagnostic testing. He gave me as much information about my chances with different treatment options as I think he could based on my results. We ended up deciding to try three cycles of IUI before moving on to IVF...his bedside manner could be better. He was dismissive of some of my questions, once actually rolling his eyes, which I’m sure he did not notice but I sure did. Something else I didn’t like was that he was rude to staff.
The clinic and staff [at CNY Fertility Center] is wonderful. The facility is very nice and comfortable. There is a spa attached that provides alternative treatments for fertility. Although I do not use the spa, I love how the spa-like environment spills over to the clinic...The nursing staff at CNY is amazing. They are so understanding and knowledgeable. They keep all of my info, which there is a lot of, up to date and organized in the patient portal. I really appreciated how one of the nurses went through and explained all of my test results to me.
How was your experience with Edward Ditkoff at CNY Fertility Center?
Dr Ditkoff is a great fertility doctor. I trust his professional opinion, however his bedside manner could be better. He was dismissive of some of my questions, once actually rolling his eyes, which I’m sure he did not notice but I sure did. Something else I didn’t like was that he was rude to staff.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Edward Ditkoff at CNY Fertility Center?
Make a list of questions and follow up questions before meeting with him. He is on the blunt side so if you need a softer touch speak to the nurses who are great and can answer most of your questions about procedures and what to expect.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Edward Ditkoff at CNY Fertility Center?

My insurance covered all diagnostics and medications. I paid around $450 per IUI procedure, not including monitoring.
Dr Robert kiltz is a very loving and caring man who really seems to want what's best for his patients and he really wants to help them make a baby however with that said, I feel like he is extremely overwhelmed and takes on too many clients and because of that I feel like he is just spread too thin. there have been times when I have sent him a text message and he responds immediately and other times when he never responds. I am assuming this because so many people contact him and he's just overwhelmed trying to help everyone.
You have to be your own Advocate and follow up on everything!!! again I think this is because they [CNY Fertility] have such a huge clientele and they are overwhelmed. They genuinely seem to care about their patients although I feel like the nurses should be on the same page. Sometimes you can call in the same day and get a different opinion depending on who you speak to you and that makes me very nervous when protocol gets changed. I feel like the only person that should be setting protocols are the doctors.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
I just have to be on top of everything and be my own Advocate as some nurses tell you different things and it's very conflicting as to what the appropriate thing to do is
Dr Grossman came into the room before my retrieval and spent time talking to me and answering all of my questions. After the procedure was over he came back in to ask if I had any follow up questions. He was just as accommodating and kind when it came to the transfer procedure....He was able to answer all of my questions to my satisfaction. There were questions he wouldn't out right answer because they were decisions I had to make on my own but he helpful.
The clinic [CNY Fertility] is growing quickly and see women from all over the world because of the affordability they provide. At the moment the nurses are over worked. It is a must to be your own advocate and this clinic is no different....Dr Kiltz, is more concerned patients go home with a baby then over charging for medical assistance. He believes in a combination of eastern and western medicine and is willing to try cutting edge/emerging techniques if you bring him the research.

The clinic is growing quickly and see women from all over the world because of the affordability they provide. At the moment the nurses are over worked. It is a must to be your own advocate and this clinic is no different.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
The primary strength of this clinic is the affordability. The clinic owner, Dr Kiltz, is more concerned patients go home with a baby then over charging for medical assistance. He believes in a combination of eastern and western medicine and is willing to try cutting edge/emerging techniques if you bring him the research. One of the weaknesses is that the clinic is growing very quickly and the staff has a hard time keeping track of everything.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center.
$3900 for egg retrieval, icsi, anesthetic and fresh transfer; $150 for travel clients monitoring at home or $600 for monitoring at the clinic; $250 for frozen transfers. Medications cost will vary depending on protocol.
Describe Michael Grossman's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
CNY as a whole strongly encourages only one embryo to be transferred at a time. They will make exceptions for women who have recurring miscarriages or who are older.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
I asked to have two procedures done an intravenous infusion and an HCG wash. They only scheduled me for one of the procedures so I had to come back later in the day for them to do both procedures. It was frustrating but at least they were able to get it done the same day.
Dr. Grossman although very dry, he is warm, light hearted but also unbelievably caring. He explains everything very clearly and in plain terms without sugar coating things but in a manner that is not harsh or cold. You can genuinely feel that he wants you to succeed and is just as heartbroken as you are if things do not go as planned.... My protocol with Dr. Grossman was very different from my previous clinic including the use of Prednisone to reduce inflammation, Prograf, Lovenox, Endometrin, Estrace, LDN and Intralipids the week before transfer, the day before transfer and weekly once I got a positive beta until 12 weeks
At CNY you only see your doctor for the big procedures... You are not assigned a nurse off the bat but once you click with someone you can request to see them for all visits.... There are times when you will be on hold for a long time to speak with a nurse with questions during normal business hours. The on call nurses call back very quickly after hours and my experience with them has always been fantastic. I recommend joining their support group on FB as well as their regular FB page to learn about other patients
How was your experience with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
At CNY you only see your doctor for the big procedures but he is always very responsive and thorough to email questions throughout the process and will always come in to the room if available while in for regular monitoring appointments. My confidence level when working with Dr. Grossman went up so much from my previous experience. I felt much more educated throghout the process by him and much more at ease.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
He believes in evidence based medicine so some of the diet recommendations, or other changes that can be made that have loose correlations he will more or less tell you it can’t hurt, but may not recommend directly. You do have to be your own advocate but he is always supportive and will have in depth discussions about alternative treatments or add ons.

I feel that the lipids was a big help with the success of this cycle and the higher dosage of Endometrin from the beginning. There are other meds that I know I didn’t list but it’s a lot!!
Describe your experience with your nurse at CNY Fertility Center. (Assigned nurse: Rebecca Eskin)
You are not assigned a nurse off the bat but once you click with someone you can request to see them for all visits. There were a few times I had to see other nurses, but there was only ever one nurse that I felt was in a rush but she was still very nice and thorough.
I can’t say enough good things about Rebecca. Her compassion, her sense of humor, her attitude helped me so much through out the process. She is extremely knowledgeable and very clear about all options but also if she doesn’t know she will find out and while you are there. She takes her time and you never feel rushed.
When I was in for my 10 week scan and she had to tell me there was no heartbeat she was my rock as my husband wasn’t there for that appointment. She called and texted with my husband and I over the next few days and helped us with the decision to have a D&C and continued to follow up until the procedure and after. She is amazing my husband and I LOVE her!!!
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.

The on call nurses call back very quickly after hours and my experience with them has always been fantastic.
I recommend joining their support group on FB as well as their regular FB page to learn about other patients, their protocols, etc so that you can ask your nurses and doctor about additional treatment options etc.
Make sure you download the patient portal app on your phone as that is generally the easiest way to communicate with the office and upload needed documents etc.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center.
Including the 3 rounds of shared cycle Donor Egg retrieval/fertilization’s and 2 FET we have paid around $30k excluding medications for my FET.
Describe Michael Grossman's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
Dr. Grossman has been pretty strong on recommending eSET because we did PGS testing with our donor egg embryos. We never asked to transfer more as the risk of twins is a little worrisome for myself and my husband financially.
In both person and follow up over the phone he [Dr. Ditkoff] takes the time to answer questions and to make sure you are personally doing ok with the whole process... He was very personable. He took the time to speak to me and not st me and he didn’t make me feel like I was just another number. He genuinely cares about his patients and what they are going through. When I expressed concern during my treatments, he made sure that they were addressed and if something needed to be changed or there was something he could do to make treatment easier he helped.
They [CNY Fertility] need more staff. While the staff is amazing in helping with everything, it sometimes takes a little bit to get an answer due to what seems like short staff issues. They will however always answer you even if it takes longer than expected. They genuinely care about your treatment and try their hardest to get things done in a timely manner.... they schedule your appointment time and you are always taken back within 5 min of your appointment time

Describe Edward Ditkoff's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
They ultimately give you the option of how many embryos you want to transfer but they suggest one.
Dr. Grossman is very knowledgeable and polite but very quick. He is in and out and that's it. He does an okay job at explaining things but not to mh expectations.... I will say I felt more like a patient than a paycheck compared to another doctor we've seen. I felt like Dr.Grossman cared about my outcome and that means alot.... Though you are the patient, you will have to be your own advocate, your own nurse and researcher.
The nursing staff [CNY Fertility Ctr] on the phone can be a mess.you feel as thought you NEVER talk to the same person. HOWEVER once you are there in the office the staff are AMAZING.. PHENOMENAL actually. Kristen has been through this herself and never lets you feel like you're alone. She held my hand the entire time I was there on multiple occasions.... I loved the clinic, once I arrived. This clinic has a TON of travel patients so they are most definitely BUSY.
How was your experience with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
As a patient I wanted more straight forward answers, less 'what do you think' type of responses. I do not know for certain if my cycle would have been different at a different clinic or not but some things have still been unanswered. I will say I felt more like a patient than a paycheck compared to another doctor we've seen. I felt like Dr.Grossman cared about my outcome and that means alot.

My stim cycle was pretty typical.
Gonal F 150
Menopur 75
Cetrotide
FET 1:
Prednisone 10mg, Endometrin, Prenatal, Estrace, Progesterone in oil, Intralipids, hcg wash, Prograf

Prednisone 20mg, Estrace 2x, Endometrin 2x, Prenatal, Progesterone in oil, Lovenox, Neupogen, Intralipids, Plaquenil, Prograf.
Describe your experience with your nurse at CNY Fertility Center. (Assigned nurse: Kristen)

Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
I loved the clinic, once I arrived. This clinic has a TON of travel patients so they are most definitely BUSY. I will say this being my first round of IVF I really didn't know what to expect and because I've only gone to this clinic for the full process I can not compare to how ivf is done elsewhere. But with my experience with this clinic, I had to be in charge of my own medicine more than I wanted to. When starting a cycle I never spoke with the same nurse on the phone, some times one nurse would tell me something and then another would upload something different into my portal. If I weren't paying attention and seen their mistake would that have ruined my cycle? I don't know, but I didn't like having this happen more than once.
When you arrive at the clinic you are the queen and I mean that. They are SO over the top nice to you. They make you feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. They take REALLY good care of you and I LOVED it. The communication is wonderful once inside the clinic and I wouldn't change a single thing about my experience with the nursing staff upon arrival. They have a healing art spa and although I opted out of using it, it is BEAUTIFUL!
I think every patient looking at this clinic needs to know they are BUSY and I mean BUSY. They will not remember your name until your second or third time visiting them in office because they see so many people. Things may be different if you monitor there but I stayed local to monitor so I was asked multiple times about myself (job, kids, where I'm from) and although it seems like no big deal when you're paying thousands of dollars for the treatments you kind of expect your doctor to remember your face.
Aside from those few issues, this clinic is clean, well put together and has an amazing staff. They are affordable and because of that, they are a little too busy and understaffed for the number of people requesting their help.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at CNY Fertility Center.
I did not monitor at this clinic. It is in a different state and I found it easier being a traveling patient to stay local for all ultrasounds and blood work.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center.
My Egg Retrieval, ICSI, and Fesh transfer were $4,050.
Medicine obviously varies but somewhere close to $3,500
Monitoring (all ultrasounds, blood work including my two FET cycles as well) $3,200
FET are $250 for the first year, I've had two FET $500
Then you have the costs of traveling if you decide to travel to this clinic.
We drove the first time which still costs us around $800, the first flight and stay were $1,500 and the third (we stayed a bit longer this time around) $1,900.
So far without a healthy pregnancy, 2 negative pregnancy tests and 1 miscarriage we have spent roughly $15,500 so far.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
The nursing staff is wonderful but I feel they are too busy so mistakes happen. I was given a protocol over the phone and then when uploaded in my portal that afternoon things were missing and some of the dosages was different. I wouldn't have thought much of this but it seems to be a common thing for this clinic. I was asked to take a specific amount of medicine that costs me over six hundred dollars for only twenty days. When I began taking this medicine it was four days in before I realized I was taking the wrong dosage because they uploaded it wrong into my portal. Talk about frustrating, it's too dang expensive for mistakes like that.
Dr. Diktoff introduced himself right away and was very kind and understanding. He explained the process in detail and food not leave until I understood. ... I thought he was very kind. He knew about me and what I was there for. He explained Everything he was doing and also gave me the opportunity to make my own Decision of how many embyro to transfer. He made sure I was comfortable.
The place [CNY] was easy to find, warm, cozy and welcoming. They had a lot of comfy seats for everyone and the lights were down low which made it relaxing. ... They offered robed, slippers, lockers and showers. They had a little kitchen for patients to use. I have no weaknesses to talk about. ... She [nurse] came back timely each time and asked me often if i was ok. She was very Gentle when drawing blood and administering the lipids.

Describe the protocols Edward Ditkoff used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
We chose to transfer one embryo after discussing the option of transferring two. I had lipids before hand along with bloodwork. I had a warm blanket and was in a very nice relaxing room. He explained to me when he was starting the procedure, what to expect and he showed me on the u/s screen where he was injecting the embyro. Afterwards he told me that he was finished and what to look for. I stayed on the table for 15 minutes and was on my way.
Describe your experience with your nurse at CNY Fertility Center. (Assigned nurse: Kelsey)
She was very compassionate. She was warm and welcoming. She explained Everything she was doing and the reasons why. She offered extra if needed. She came back timely each time and asked me often if i was ok. She was very Gentle when drawing blood and administering the lipids. She turned the lights down to let me relax. I would highly recommend her.

Describe Edward Ditkoff's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
I never saw Dr. Kiltz directly because I went to the Albany clinic. Labs and prescriptions, however, were ordered under his name. I have reached out to Dr. Kiltz numerous times and he did call me back but his call was missed because I was at work and never spoke with him directly over the phone. I have emailed him after I was given inaccurate instruction by one of the CNY's CRNP's. My plan was adjusted in my favor after I reached out to him and that mistake was compensated.
CNY has a vast amount of patients due to their attractive prices. I understand that mistakes happen but I have encountered too many with CNY to look over. The mounting mistakes make me have doubts about the clinic... The nurses that answer calls can be nasty and rude depending on who you speak with but some of them are very kind and helpful. All of the nurses I encountered in person at the Albany clinic were wonderful.

I believe Dr. Kiltz is a good person and I believe he would help everyone if he could. But there are too many patients for him to manage himself (of course) so he has recruited help and opened clinics in different locations to manage the amount of patients attracted to CNY's prices. Although I have never met Dr. Kiltz in person, the positive and negative occurrences at all of these other clinics reflect back on him.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
If you work and are a travel patient undergoing IVF, you will not know when you will need to be in CNY until that week or the week before you need to be there. Make sure your employer is flexible and can work with you.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
CNY has a vast amount of patients due to their attractive prices. I understand that mistakes happen but I have encountered too many with CNY to look over. The mounting mistakes make me have doubts about the clinic and thoughts that my hard earned money may have been better placed elsewhere. The diagnosis of infertility is heartbreaking in itself but to feel like your not a priority after investing so much effort, time, and money is even worse.
Describe the protocols Robert Kiltz used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
I have undergone 1 IVF cycle so far. I used Gonal-f and Menopur to stimulate my ovaries. I triggered with Pregnyl prior to retrieval. 9 oocytes were retrieved, 5 of which resulted in 5 day blastocyst using ICSI. I did 1 fresh medicated embryo transfer that was unsuccessful and a medicated FET that was also unsuccessful. I am young, I ovulate on my own, and have no lining or hormonal issues. I have bilateral tubal factor infertility and for the next FET, plan to do an unmedicated FET.

The nurses that answer calls can be nasty and rude depending on who you speak with but some of them are very kind and helpful. All of the nurses I encountered in person at the Albany clinic were wonderful.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
Strengths: affordability, flexibility
Weaknesses: You are your own advocate, continuity of care is compromised because multiple healthcare professionals handle your case, many mistakes are made, the stress of traveling out of town, finding your own monitoring facility, patients rarely speak directly with physician's, nurses coordinate patient care, long wait for initial consultation
Describe the costs associated with your care under Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center.
My meds costed around $5,000 and IVF was $3,900. FET's are $250 for a year after retrieval but increases significantly after year is up
Describe Robert Kiltz's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
I was strongly suggested single embryo transfers and I think that is reasonable considering I am young with only tubal factor infertility
What specific things went wrong at CNY Fertility Center?
Failed to call in prescriptions to pharmacy

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
I've had meds called to my pharmacy with wrong name, I have been given inaccurate instruction regarding ERA cycle, nurses have been unfamiliar with the natural cycle protocol
Dr. Grossman offered his suggestions on new medications to use, potential risks, and when things didn't go as planned he asked for more tests, and looked through 5 years of history from OB's and other RE's. He then spent over an hour on the phone with me after our cycle ended in an early loss. And finally diagnosed me with silent PCOS. NO other doctor ever took the time to look at my bloodwork and see the trends.
CNY has a nurse team that you work with. It may not always be the same one, but it didn't seem to matter to me....If you need your hand held through a cycle, then you may struggle. I was fine with the communication style via email. You can contact them 24/7 and someone will look into your issue that same day. They have multiple offices so you can choose what works for you.
How was your experience with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
Because I was listed as unexplained infertility our first round of IVF was somewhat of a guessing game. I am forever grateful and looking forward to another cycle.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
Trust that he is trying to do what is best for you. Understand that IVF is a process and can take many months. Ask questions and be honest.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
Dr. Grossman was the first doctor in 5 years to figure out a real diagnosis for me. He took time to review my past history, and to make a plan for my next cycle that I was comfortable with. He acknowledged how hard this process can be and made me feel like he really cares about me. I never felt like a number, he and his staff really care!
Describe the protocols Michael Grossman used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
My protocol was IVF with injections of menopur, and lh-hcg. I also did and intralipid IV, and acupuncture. My body responded somewhat to these medications and I did get 8 eggs, however due to having undiagnosed pcos, my egg quality was bad. So for the next cycle I will be on metformin as well.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
CNY has a nurse team that you work with. It may not always be the same one, but it didn't seem to matter to me. I always got a quick response, good information, and all of my questions and concerns answered. They showed compassion when things were hard and made me feel comfortable for the retrieval when I was nervous.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
Price is the lowest in the US. This also means they have a high patient load. If you need your hand held through a cycle, then you may struggle. I was fine with the communication style via email. You can contact them 24/7 and someone will look into your issue that same day. They have multiple offices so you can choose what works for you. I was a travel patient from another state, and they have a dedicated travel team to help with logistics.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at CNY Fertility Center.
My monitoring was done remotely from a different state as I was a travel patient. So I can not comment on CNY's monitoring.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center.
IVF with ICSI was $3900. Medications for me totaled $3000
Describe Michael Grossman's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
We only had one viable embryo, however before we knew that we had discussed my history and the risks of putting in more than one. It was ultimately left up to me to decide.
He [Dr. Grossman] was very thorough going over all our documentation and listening to what we wanted and supporting our decisions by saying he would do the same thing. I like that he wasn't pushing PGS testing (a lot of doctors do) but we wanted to do it because of prior miscarriages and he said yes in your case I think that is a smart idea because that is the main reason we are doing IVF.
Since CNY as a whole is so busy because of what they offer you really need to be proactive and advocate for yourself. The best way to communicate is the portal, however you are unable to have an ongoing conversation, it always has to be a new message which I find annoying. Calling them you will likely be on hold a lot and the phones go down more than you would expect.

Relax, he is easy going and knows what he is talking about and will listen to you as much as he shares with you.

Although this is an extremely busy office the doctor took over an hour with us to discuss our case and look at all our paperwork. Although they generally give everyone the same protocol, he was not pushy about any of it and told us he would do what we want. He took the time to answer all our questions and listen to us and he even made jokes to help lighten the mood.
Describe the protocols Michael Grossman used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
We haven't yet started our protocol as we have had a setback healthwise and are reevaluating our plan and may switch to RIVF instead.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
I've only had communication via the portal with the nursing staff and everyone has been super responsive to all my questions and concerns.

Another strength that most clinics don't have is the option for accupuncture or massage upstairs on the days of retrieval or transfer to help your body, make sure you ask about that as they don't always offer it proactively.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center.
We are still evaluating, we have some insurance coverage for IVF so we plan to use that first, but the PGS testing will be out of pocket and run around $3000.
I definitely felt like a human because my feelings were greatly crushed. [Dr. Grossman] was a very nice man, but insensitive towards my fragile emotional state when it comes to trying to have a baby. He truly needs to work on improving his bedside manor.... The Dr. basically told me that I was too heavy to have a child at this time. I understand his concern, but there is a better delivery that he could’ve with the whole situation. He seemed uncaring towards my breakdown when he told me his thoughts.
There is a lot of information the patient needs to collect for the office. The clinic [CNY] should have the ability to request all records, on the client’s behalf, from their drs. I was told this could not be done. I did all this work to get my records sent over, and nothing ever became of anything. I don’t even know if the dr looked at them. He seemed to know nothing about me.... I didn’t have much interaction with the nurses

The Dr. basically told me that I was too heavy to have a child at this time. I understand his concern, but there is a better delivery that he could’ve with the whole situation. He seemed uncaring towards my breakdown when he told me his thoughts. I went there so excited to try to have a child and left there crushed and in tears with nowhere else to turn. Exactly a year later, I’m in a worse boat than when I saw him. I have gotten nowhere closer to having a child and my clock is almost done ticking on my ability to have a child. I’m very disappointed, to say the least, with my treatment and heartbreak from this office.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
I have no doubts that he is a wonderful and successful Dr. My sister has 3 beautiful children because of him. I just wish he wasn’t so awkward when it comes to dealing with sensitive women and their dire situations. Compassion and understanding go a long way in my book.

I saw him once right before my retrieval. I was a travel patient and my consultation was with Dr. Kiltz. He was very straightforward and to the point. If total compassion is your thing, he probably wouldn't be the one I would go to. However, the way that CNY works things, you don't see the same Doctor or nurses every time. Once again, they are giving greater amounts of people access to care that would otherwise be beyond their means. That in and of itself makes CNY worth it.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Edward Ditkoff at CNY Fertility Center?
Ask every single question you can think of. Write things down. He's a nice guy, but very straightforward.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Edward Ditkoff at CNY Fertility Center?
CNY, in my opinion, is trying to do a good thing. They are trying to give clients access to treatment that wouldn't otherwise get it. They definitely don't hold your hand through treatment. I would have liked for someone to sit down with me and actually explain the goals of my protocol. However, things, so far have worked out for me. We have 4 really great looking embryos. I did extensive research and I tried to follow every instruction to perfection. If I had questions, I tried to be my own advocate and called into the nurses. Everyone treated me with respect and honored my wishes. I just wish there were a little more transparency.
Describe the protocols Edward Ditkoff used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
I was on an antagonist protocol I believe. I was on 150 Gonal F, 75 Menopur, and .25 of Cetrotide (starting day 3). I triggered with a double Lupron trigger on day 10. I produced about 10-15 follicles, but only had 5 eggs retrieved. I was pretty devastated at this, but 4 out of my 5 embryos were frozen on day 5. Those 4 embryos are graded really good. This was my first medicated cycle of any fertility treatment and I know I'm an easy responder to other medications. I believe the rationale behind my protocol was that we just didn't know much about how I would respond. I maybe have a very mild case of PCOS in my one ovary and my husband has some male factor issues. My blood tests were all pretty normal. This was kind of a basic first protocol to see how I would respond. Luckily, after getting over the fact that I only retrieved 5 eggs, things have worked pretty well. I have yet to transfer anything yet.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
The nursing staff at CNY-Albany are great. They really do try to get to know you and are very compassionate. They will answer any and all questions that you have.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
Strengths - Cost is a huge one. IVF would totally be out of the question if not for them. They all try very hard to make you feel comfortable and taken care of. They have their opinions on how things should go, but they ultimately listen and honor your wishes. They try a mixture of Eastern and Western medicine to try and get things to work.
Weaknesses - If you want a clinic to hold your hand through the entire process, this one isn't for you. You really have to be your own advocate and not be scared to speak up and ask questions. My only regret was that I wish I would have had easier access to a doctor. i would have liked to have some of the things about my protocol explained better. My husband and I went in with the attitude that this whole thing is a big risk and it's either going to work or it won't and we're not paying for someone to hold our hands. If you go in with the right expectations, CNY can definitely work for you.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Edward Ditkoff at CNY Fertility Center.
We paid $4,500 for our entire IVF cycle. That included monitoring and everything. That was honestly our biggest draw to CNY. We paid just over $3,500 for medications.
Describe Edward Ditkoff's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
I have yet to transfer, however, I know because of my age, they highly encourage you to only transfer one embryo. They will, however, honor your choice and transfer two. They will not, unless under very special circumstances, transfer more than that.

IUI with letrozole x4.
IUI with injectables - follistim and menopur x3.
Overstimulated with IUI #7 and converted to IVF.
Retrieval resulted in 7 fertilized embryos with 4 frozen and day 3.
First frozen transfer was successful, but resulted in a miscarriage at 16 weeks.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center.
CNY is known for making IVF affordable. My IUI treatments were covered under insurance, I paid my co-pays for every visit, along with any costs for medications. For IVF, total cost was $3,900 plus medications. Within a year of your retrieval, any additional transfers are $250 (first is covered under the $3,900).
Dr. Ditkoff treated me like a human because he was compassionate and he always read my file and knew exactly what was going on with me before starting any conversation...straight forward which I really appreciate. He is very knowledgeable in his field. During treatments he tried his best to minimize my discomfort. When my first cycle failed he insisted I stay on the same course of treatment which I was not happy about.
I was on a high dose of both Gonal-f and Menopur [CNY Fertility Center] because of my diminished ovarian reserve. This did not yield good results...While the nurses are very compassionate and knowledgeable, they would often forget to upload documents to the patient portal. Also, because you are not assigned a particular nurse, sometimes you get conflicting information from nurses. Additionally sometimes I experienced situations where the nurses left my care up to me. Meaning I could do one thing or another and they let me decide. This was always very unnerving.

The number one reason to attend this clinic is their cost. It is the most affordable clinic and if you have to do multiple rounds, then it is totally worth it. They are very knowledgeable in what they do and include holistic views in their treatments. The clinic is more like a spa then a clinical environment. The doctor is innovative and always looking at new ways to treat patients. On the down side they are too busy to give individualized care. You 100% must advocate for yourself and be very well versed on your own health. Do not expect them to catch anything. You must double and triple check your own results with what research shows.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Edward Ditkoff at CNY Fertility Center.
Cycle cost $4,000 and included everything except pgs/pgd testing and medications.
Describe Edward Ditkoff's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
