He was friendly enough and made small talk...Offered to answer any questions but did not offer treatment advice or ask me any questions about my history...Transferred both embryos without question...Come prepared with any questions you have already written down.
Cheapest IVF prices, busy clinic [CNY Fertility Center - Latha,]. No hand-holding, must ask many questions and do your own research. Need to be knowledgeable of your medication protocol, may not be good for 1st timers, experienced patients may fare better...Nurses were pleasant and friendly. Upon meeting Dr. Ditkoff, he introduced himself and made small talk. Also, he answered any questions.

Due to my age of 45 y/o, low-dose mini IVF with 10mg Letrozole, 200mg Gonal and 150mg Menopur. Primed 6 weeks with 6 units HGH. 12 eggs, 5 retrieved, 2 fertilized, 2 transferred day 3, no success.

Nurses were pleasant and friendly. Noted some failure to communicate treatment plan between nurses and regarding medication protocol. Responsive to questions when asked.

HCG wash and intralipids ordered before transfer, both were brought with me to the appointment. The nurse administered the intralipids but never mentioned the HCG so I thought it was for the day of transfer. Day of transfer I asked about the HCG and they said it should have been done days earlier with the intralipids so I was not able to have the HCG wash done.

Dr. Ditkoff was excellent. I was nervous the day of my transfer but he really calmed me down and let me know everything would be alright. The FET went very smoothly. My retrieval was difficult due to my fibroids and he was patient and persistent. He retrieved three eggs which resulted in three good quality embryos.
No weaknesses at all. The [CNY Fertility Center] clinic felt like a spa. It was very relaxing and calm. Not sterile. I enjoyed the robes because they were warm. I felt very relaxed...The nursing staff was great...When you’re a travel patient, sometimes the information on your specific protocol is not clear. It can make you feel like a number.

He can come off as very blunt, but he is very caring and wants the best for his patients.

Due to my fibroids, Dr. Ditkoff had a difficult time with my egg retrieval, but he was persistent and was able to retrieve 3 eggs. I believe I ovulated early and lost a lot of follicles so I was happy to get at least three. I returned a few months later and was able to do my FET with him as well and it went really smoothly.

I had the standard IVF protocol and I’m not sure exactly how it went.

The nursing staff was great. I felt like I was at a spa.

No weaknesses at all. The clinic felt like a spa. It was very relaxing and calm. Not sterile. I enjoyed the robes because they were warm. I felt very relaxed. There was a fireplace going which was a relief from the snow.

Monitoring was a bit difficult because I was out of state and my clinic did not always post my results in time. It was not CNY’s fault.

He is now helping us with our next step in the journey with a gestational carrier
I did many cycles [at CNY Fertility Center] but overall each cycle was about $5500-7500 including embryo biopsy, monitoring and PGS testing...Beautiful clinic with nice ambiance. Many people so they may want to add more seating as it can be standing room only at times. They are very accommodating to working with your times/work schedule and they get to know you as a person not just another number

I have not had any follow up with him as other doctors in the clinic have consulted with me regarding my failed transfers. He made conversation with me and made me feel good about my embryos. I was comfortable all my transfers.

These changes aren’t necessarily recommended by Dr Ditkoff as I have had instructions from the other drs at CNY. We added immune protocol, hcg wash, prp, and intrelipids. This next transfer we are trying Lupron because my local clinic refuses to do a lap procedure.

They were mostly great. I had some issues with one nurse having issues finding my vein (I have great veins) and finding my cervix.

There are fertility resources available to you so you can educate yourself. They also have a separate spa for massage and acupuncture which have been known to help infertility....Ivf is roughly $4,000 not including medications or labs. The flat rate includes retrieval, “mixing” embryos and sperm and 1 insemination.

At each appointment he called me by name. Did a quick recap of where we were at in the cycle, what the end goal would be. He was also very good at explaining things for us

We are still in the process. When we did our first testing month I found out I needed a 2nd surgery to remove scar tissue from the 1st. He referred me to the same Dr as it was someone he trusted. He encouraged me to have it done so my uterus was in the best possible shape before starting ivf. He was happy to meet with me asap after surgery to pick up where we left off

He answered every question I had with detail and compassion...The only downside is I wish he was more involved with the process. Once you have original consults, the nurses take over everything. He is very knowledgable and cares about his patients and makes sure you’re completely comfortable with the treatment plan you decide on.

Dr. Grossman is a very caring man. He genuinely listens to your concerns and what will make you most comfortable. While his schedule is very busy, he sees you in a short time if you need to connect with him again once you’re treatments begin. I wish he could delivery babies too! He’s wonderful

CNY provides an affordable option for those who otherwise couldn't afford it.They are good at what they do and have a high volume of patients.... What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Edward Ditkoff at CNY Fertility Center?
Be open, ready to pay attention to your charts, bloodwork, and you will be fine. Having gone through IVF at another clinic already I knew more than a first patient would. Probably would be overwhelmed if I had to do it first time through CNY so ask questions and use the portal to your advantage.

300 gonul, 150 menopur, and double lupron trigger! Results was 11 embryos made it to day 5 all send for PGS testing 3 normal, 1 low level mosaic, 1 abnormal. 2 transfers of normal embryos resulted in negative pregnancy test.

He is willing to try new techniques and autoimmune protocol to help with implantation.... We used high dosage gonal 450 and menopur 150 for the first retrieval. The clinic [CNY] has many patients. So understanding that you need to do your research yourself and ask a lot of questions to get the information you need. The doctors will try anything to get you pregnant, even new or holistic approaches. They also have an autoimmune protocol... Consultation was free. IVF cycles are 3900 which does not include monitoring.... The nurses were nice and helpful but sometimes the instructions were conflicting. It would be better to have more consistency with standard responses.

so sometimes you feel like a human but other times you feel like a number [with Dr. Edward Ditkoff]...If you’re looking for warm and fuzzy, this isn’t the doctor for you. He’s super knowledgeable and a good doctor but he’ll tell you straight up facts, no sugar coating, no cheering squad. He is a man of few words that gets procedures done efficiently and effectively. You either love him for his candid approach or hate him for lack of bedside manner.
As a travel patient [at CNY Fertility Center], sometimes results get lost in transit, so it’s important to be on top of this. If it happens, sometimes the nurses don’t call with the update...I’m a travel patient so I monitored elsewhere...IVF was $3900 which included FETs for a year, embryo storage for a year, ICSI and egg retrieval...an amazing clinic with fantastic nurses and doctors. They’re super busy though, so you have to be your own best advocate. If something seems off don’t be afraid to speak up. They do their best to make sure everyone feels like they’re the only patient, but with the amount of people that use CNY and many bring travel patients, there will be issues, so you need to roll with the punches.

The nursing staff is phenomenal! The silver lining here is that at CNY, you don’t deal with the doctors every day so you interact mostly with the wonderful nurses.

very clean place [CNY Fertility Center-Latham]. it feels like a spa which is a good idea because it takes away the stress and really helps you relax. i felt very call during all my retievals and transfers. they are also very on time with their schedule. you won’t be waiting long there.... the whole medical team is very educatued in their field. they are nice and very pleasant. they are available 24hrs a day should you have any questions. i’m an out patient. they are always on time when i need to hear about my results or medical treatments from them.

Dr. Grossman has always been willing to answer any and all questions that may arise that anytime. He always explains what is going on in a detailed manner in which it is easy for me to understand. He is always direct but in a compassionate way...I have a rare history of an ovarian torsion at the age of 5. He understood right away I’m use to feeling like a Petri dish and didn’t want that feeling when trying to become a mother. He has been blunt but in a nice manner telling me and my husband things he would recommend fixing before beginning and our chances if we do not take those recommendations. I love that I can always reach him or someone in the office and they never act like I’m bothering them when I have a question or I’m crying due to a set back. I love the clinic and Dr. Grossman.
Anytime I have called the nursing staff [at CNY Fertility Center] they have been compassionate, willing to either answer my questions or find out the answer from the doctors...The clinic is excellent they have their own lab with an embryologist , they have several locations in NY, they explain how out of state patients will be taken care of and things we need to do differently, they make treatments affordable for all people including payment plans. I haven’t seen any weaknesses as of yet.

We are about to start IVF treatment with Dr. Grossman from the beginning he has treated me like a person not an experiment. I have a rare history of an ovarian torsion at the age of 5. While he [Dr. Ditkoff] was informative, he was not an encouraging person throughout the process. When our cycle didn't work, we didn't hear from him to discuss other options. So he did give us a lot of initial information, which was helpful, but then he basically disappeared when we began the process. Then, when it didn't work, he never followed up.... I was supposed to have a genetic test done before my first IVF cycle and a nurse never ordered it. They didn’t realize this until right before I was going to begin my second IVF cycle. Fortunately they ordered it and paid for it due to the mistake... They [CNY - Latham] help address issues efficiently and the nurses go above and beyond to be helpful. He referred my husband to a urologist. The urologist gave him advice on how to improve his health to improve his sperm health. During that process he started me on a pill to make try and make me have regular cycles and sometime in between that we finally conceived my little boy

He always responded to my questions in a timely and caring manner....We started with the “less is more approach” and only retrieved 3 embryos at first. We did a fresh transfer that failed. We repeated a similar protocol with higher stimulating meds next, and produced more embryos.
They [CNY- Albany] care about women’s rights to get affordable IVF treatment. They care about the woman as a whole human focusing on all aspects of the journey. They were caring and compassionate and treated me like family.... 800 monitoring fee 3900 fresh cycle 1500 frozen cycle Not included meds...The staff was so caring and sweet. They became more like friends. I trusted them and their advice. They had a huge role in helping me through the emotional/mental aspect of IVF.

We started with the “less is more approach” and only retrieved 3 embryos at first. We did a fresh transfer that failed. We repeated a similar protocol with higher stimulating meds next, and produced more embryos. That fresh transfer failed. We did a frozen transfer that resulted in eptopic. I asked to be put on lovenox and intralipids for the following FET, he agreed, and I had. Live birth Singleton.

The staff was so caring and sweet. They became more like friends. I trusted them and their advice. They had a huge role in helping me through the emotional/mental aspect of IVF.

Dr Grossman made us so comfortable. Coming from another facility where we did 4 cycles and were treated so much like just a paycheck it was so refreshing to feel like our doctor cared. Dr Grossman made us feel like he was on the journey with us and wanted us to succeed.

Of the doctors at CNY we have been most happy with Kiltz.... He is a big fan of the keto diet and you should be prepared to hear a lot about keto.... My wife has been on many different medications and he has changed her treatments a few times.

My wife has been on many different medications and he has changed her treatments a few times. The first she was on high doses and didn’t get a good quantity of eggs so we canceled the cycle. The next time she was on lower doses and got a much better result. She took gonal, menopur and several others.

[CNY Fertility Center is] growing so fast that sometimes I think they struggle to keep up! It takes several months to get your first consultation. But the facilities are state of the art and look very nice and once you get your appointment, you’ll be happy...Not all the nurses were the same. There were a couple, especially on the phone that seemed inconvenienced by your calls. I attribute this to being so busy! But most of the nurses were so sweet and caring.

Not all the nurses were the same. There were a couple, especially on the phone that seemed inconvenienced by your calls. I attribute this to being so busy! But most of the nurses were so sweet and caring.

They are growing so fast that sometimes I think they struggle to keep up! It takes several months to get your first consultation. But the facilities are state of the art and look very nice and once you get your appointment, you’ll be happy.

He [Dr. Grossman] was very educated in his explanation and options based on my medical history. To be honest we only saw him for our consultation and I have only seen nurses for the actual monitoring and procedures.... He only mentioned the course of action when we decided to try IUI before any other invasive treatment. After our decision the nurses have made all the calls.... He explained things realistically and scientifically which was a good balance.
CNY Is great at scheduling. The nursing staff is amazing. Billing is great, I’ve never had issues. They are prompt in calling with any issues or results you’re waiting for. I can’t say they have any weaknesses, they’ve only corrected issues I’ve had with my pharmacy in a and timely manner. Always know I’m talking about if I call about something frantically. During my last cycle, my insurance only paid for my meds so i paid around $3900 for the first cycle and then he clinic allowed me to add on to pay for my second too. They had packages where you could buy multiple cycles for less but i didn’t do that. Thankful the financial team was very understanding and allowed me to “upgrade”. I think in the end we paid around $10000

For IUIs with injections I was on 75iu follistim/75 menopur. I have PCOS so a low dose for an IUI worked like a charm. I have 2 children from IUIs For my first IVF cycle I was on 225 follistim/75 menopur. 21 eggs retrieved. Only 4 embryos. None made it to day 5.
