This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.
For more information please see our FAQs.
Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.
I feel prioritizing patients [by Dr. Michael Grossman] should be recognized. It’s hard not getting answers especially in times when you feel most vulnerable. I didn’t feel valued. This made my experience feel horrible. I was told after my last failed transfer I had to wait 3 months for a follow up call in order...I was rushed during my last transfer. A lot of questions were not answered. I paid out of pocket like most do.
There is potential, but they [CNY Fertility Center] lack patient satisfaction experience. Not everyone is going to be successful using fertility treatment, so talking to patients can go a long way. I was never a nagging or needy patient but I still feel like the care I deserved was far from obtained...They [nurses at CNY Fertility Center] seemed overworked. There was very little compassion an empathy shown.

I was rushed during my last transfer. A lot of questions were not answered. I paid out of pocket like most do. I wasn’t even offered a follow up call until 3 months after my failed transfer. I felt crushed. How can you wait 3 months to confirm talk to a patient. It’s disheartening. I felt like I didn’t matter.

He was amazing. My transfer was very difficult and had to be dilated. This transfer resulted in my baby daughter that is 5 months today. He [Dr. Grossman] was very polite and understanding. I don’t have much to compare to but overall it has been a pleasant experience working with dr grossman. He was prompt with answering any questions we had and when our first retrieval wasn’t successful he changed some of the medications up. We did have success with the second retrieval.... He has been personable and understanding.... Absolutely loved the staff at CNY
Absolutely loved the staff at CNY... One thing I didn’t know was they talk about billing in the waiting room. I watched many people upon check-in having uncomfortable conversations. They really should have a different setup or more secluded was to check in.... [Cost of Treatment] Expensive. From what I hear not expensive compared to most but again I don’t have anything to compare it to.

He [Dr. Ditkoff] is not very comforting. More straight forward ... He was nice, but not that friendly. Sometimes I felt like just another in his vast sea of patients. Don’t expect a ton of one on one time...Dr Grossman was our doctor for the egg retrieval at CNY. The first time we met him was the morning of the retrieval. He was very confident my wife was going to produce a large number of eggs. The next time we spoke to him was after our 10 embryos were genetically tested. We wanted to understand the risks associated with the mosaic embryos as well as embryo grading specifics...
Strengths are the amount of staff they [CNY Fertility Center] have working and how kind the nurses are...never once got impatient or short with us. The ambiance of the clinic is also a huge perk...soothing vibe makes the anxiety go down a bit...The cons are the coordination with the genetics lab and price transparency, or lack there of.

Describe your experience with your nurse at CNY Fertility Center. (Assigned nurse: Sue Koller)
Our initial consultation was with Sue Koller and she was so compassionate, informative and patient. She explained the whole process and listened in order to provide thoughtful answers to our questions and concerns. Sue even followed up with me personally to share especially good news and would often respond directly to messages we sent into the portal. For our daily check ins during the IVF cycle we worked with different nurses each time, but they all were among the same quality as Sue.

The waiting room with the fire place and soothing vibe makes the anxiety go down a bit. The facilities provided such as yoga and massages are an added special touch. Their communication generally is really a cut above. Daily they will have doctors doing live streams to discuss updates and do Q&A sessions. The cons are the coordination with the genetics lab and price transparency, or lack there of.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
During my wife’s IVF cycle the nurses would sometimes be wrong as to where we were in the cycle. So for instance if we were there on day 9 of our shots, they would ask if we’re ready to begin the cycle.
[Dr. Ditkoff is a] Very knowledgeable provider, grounded in research, can be abrasive with his wishes and forceful about his plan to acheive the outcome he considers best...Evidently this physician has a strong preference for eSET, only this was not strongly expressed to me before the day of my tranfer. I specifically asked my nurse during prepatory visits if this Dr. was aware of my desire to transfer my three embryos and if he approved. I was told as long as I am aware of the risks and ok with them he is ok with with transferring 3. But this was disagreed upon tranfer day.
Great Nurses [at CNY Feritility]!!! What I didnt like is that you will be scheduled with a random nurse everytime unless you request a specific nurse. They will try to coordinate if you request to see the same nurse which I think is very important. My first cycle things were easily overlooked when seeing a different nurse every time...I had to call twice to get biopsy results located on a benign polyp (if it was important they would have called). I continued to ask about every medication everytime because I would find they've changed protocols on some immunological medications due to current research but would not have been informed or my medications switched had I not asked.
How was your experience with Edward Ditkoff at CNY Fertility Center?
Like I said, very knowledgeable and talented surgeon with a typical surgeon complex. I was told before hand he did not have the best bedside manner and was willing to take that on for his expertise. During my phone consultation he was very thorough and explained everything very well which I appreciated. We came up with a plan based off my previous cycles that adjusted stims and treated possible undiagnosed immunological issues without testing. I've been told it's cheaper and easier to just treat rather than test for these things. My negative experience came on the day of transfer when he decided to change the previously discussed plan while I was already in the surgery suite and my husband in the waiting room. He felt that it would be best to only transfer one of the three best looking embryos rather then all three even though my age and statistics and previous failed cycles permitted this number and we had already discussed this. He was very aggressive during an already emotional and vulnerable moment (naked lying on table without my spouse to discuss). I expressed needing an opportunity and a moment to talk to my husband and was told that he cant guarantee he will perform my transfer then as he cant grantee he wont be busy 5 minutes from now. This is why I felt more like a number. And I will mention they brought me back more then an hour late which means they were willing to give another patient the time they deserved possibly but not me. I felt like I was being rushed to just go along with what he decided and theres nothing else to question. However, being a well informed medical professional myself i felt disrespected that he would not want me to take a moment, be informed, and make a decision with him that I was comfortable with. In the end I decided to stick to my plan but honored him for his concern and interest in my best outcome and he appreciated my respect and we moved forward. I did conceive this round which was the very first time ever after 5 transfers! Unfortunately it ended in a 5wk miscarriage. I feel that I might not have even experienced that if I did not transfer all 3 since nobody really knows which will go the distance in the future. Just a reminder no matter how well meant...they are not God, but well intended Dr's and its important to be compassionate with the human being in front of you....even if it means explaining and understanding their goals, or even a fight, or even 5 minutes.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Edward Ditkoff at CNY Fertility Center?
He is an excellent physician and obviously passionate about his responsibility and the outcomes he is responsible for; a really great thing! He can come off strong at the worst moment so just take a deep breath and know it's likely coming from a good place. Stay focused and dont get defensive or angry and it will likely work out.

This is a beautiful clinic. The care they provide is good. Some things I am questioning and asking around is standardized treatment rather than individualized plans. Since I have not been successful with 3 ivf cycles and 5 transfers I am considering other options.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at CNY Fertility Center.
The waiting room is a bit small but very beautiful; I actually enjoyed waiting in the relaxing low lit well decorated space. Often times you could get a free message while you waited. The nurses work as swiftly as they can without shortchanging patients. I was very happy with my monitoring appointments. They provide very early hours so you can squeeze in before work if needed but these appointments can fill quickly.

Dr Grossman has generally been very patient with me (I am a "difficult" patient who questions everything) and all of my questions throughout this ordeal. It is really important to let him know how you want him to work for you; we made it very clear that we are evidence-based people with no room for questionable forms of treatment ... He'll take his time to speak with you and answer questions honestly and clearly. ...
I was told that one of my lab results were not good via patient portal and was recommend a relatively powerful medication. I called the clinic several minutes after receiving the message and the nurse was gone. ... I messaged my RE about my decision to seek further confirmatory testing and he was highly supportive of my decision and actually told me I did the right thing. This incident left me highly distrustful of the general nursing staff.
How was your experience with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
Dr Grossman has generally been very patient with me (I am a "difficult" patient who questions everything) and all of my questions throughout this ordeal. It is really important to let him know how you want him to work for you; we made it very clear that we are evidence-based people with no room for questionable forms of treatment (like the use of Prednisone during stim cycles, which is their default, even if no immune issues are present). He is otherwise very pleasant, easy to speak to, and welcomes all questions.

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
Through all of my cycles at CNY I have contacted him via portal several times to check in, to get second opinions, and sometimes, to let him know I'm not comfortable with something. His responses were never cookie cutter, and there have been times that his recommendations have contradicted those of the nursing staff. He was respectful of my decision to dump all the "woo" that Dr Kiltz and his nursing staff were pushing.
Describe the protocols Michael Grossman used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
#1 antagonist cycle; can't recall doses, 2 lead follicles after 3 days of stims (nurses started me too late in the cycle), converted to IUI, failed. Can't recall med doses.
#2 estrogen prime, antagonist, started stims CD2 with 450 Follistim/150 menopur, Cetrotide with dual lupron/lower dose HCG trigger-->12 eggs, 4 mature, none made it to day 3. ICSI used.
#3 estrogen prime, antagonist, with 450 Follistim/150 menopur, Cetrotide, stimmed longer than last cycle, full HCG trigger-->10 eggs, 4 mature, 4 others left to mature, one 3-day embryo cryopreserved. Used ICSI.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
The nurse I worked with (you can pick the nurse you want to do your monitoring with) was very pleasant and optimistic, seemed attuned to details, but the nurses do typically follow a set of guidelines that they apply to everyone, so you need to be careful. Don't be afraid to ask the doctor for a second opinion. The NP there is nice but seems overconfident and misinterpreted previous genetic workup and I left convinced that my infertility was due to a fragile x premutation (I spoke with a genetics counselor who explained I don't have a premutation, and my infertility is likely unrelated). Not all communication well. There is a lab tech/phlebotomist who has an edgy attitude.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
Very cookie cutter. There were times that I felt I was doing DIY IVF because I had to self advocate frequently. Communication is hit or miss. I recently had an experience when a nurse told me about a test result over portal and suggested a medication. The nurse didn't call me and when I called the office shortly after receiving the message, she had left for the day and I had to speak with some random nurse who never worked with me. The nurse manager tried to create excuses like nurses don't want to play phone tag or leave voice mails. I messaged my RE about my decision to seek further confirmatory testing and he was highly supportive of my decision and actually told me I did the right thing. This incident left me highly distrustful of the general nursing staff.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center.
Each IVF is $3900, monitoring is around $850. IUI monitoring was around $750 or so, the IUI itself was approximately +/-$300. Follow up visits with the doctor were $75. Monitoring for an FET was between $750-850.
Describe Michael Grossman's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
It was dependent on preference. Since I only have one embryo stored, I don't have the luxury of having such options.

I was told that one of my lab results were not good via patient portal and was recommend a relatively powerful medication. I called the clinic several minutes after receiving the message and the nurse was gone. I chose not to follow their guidance without further workup that I have obtained from another specialist outside their facility. Dr Grossman was highly supportive of my decision to get more specific follow up which suggests the nurses do their own thing based off a one sized fits all protocol.
Dr Grossman explained each step as we went through the transfers and egg retrieval. He was very good at showing us what was going on the screen and helping us understand what was happening. He was wonderful at making me feel like I wasn't just a number. He made a hard time just a little easier by being upbeat and positive about the results. ... Before they did the transfers I started intralipids and had an HCG wash and I really think all that stuff helped.
I don't think there is anything they need to change the girls at the front desk are welcoming. My husband had one suggestion. The room for samples isn't very sound proof, he said it's hard to get comfortable when you can hear everything going on around you. ... My veins are very small and are hard to get for blood work or IV's. Ann [nurse] usually did my blood work and after 2 or 3 times she's got really good and remembered that my veins sit close to top of my skin and after that she never missed again! ...

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
He not the typical doctor. He's very good at what he does and he's very good at explaining what to expect. He makes you feel comfortable with the plan before moving forward and he helps weigh all the options.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
Dr Grossman and all the nurses at CNY really care about everyone and making sure your in the right place mentally and physically. Everyone knows who you are and calls you by name, they ask how your doing and feeling. They take an interest in your life outside of the fertility.
Describe the protocols Michael Grossman used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
Even though having blood drawn sucks, I like that they take blood each visit to make sure your progesterone and estrogen are where they need to be. Before they did the transfers I started intralipids and had an HCG wash and I really think all that stuff helped. And it did work I was pregnant until 17 weeks and we lost the baby because my water broke early. If I had to go back I wouldn't change a thing. All the medicine and doses worked like they should have and it was all worth it. I'm patiently waiting to be able to try again.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
All of the nurses are awesome! They made it more bearable. My veins are very small and are hard to get for blood work or IV's. Ann usually did my blood work and after 2 or 3 times she's got really good and remembered that my veins sit close to top of my skin and after that she never missed again! And kimmi usually did my IV for the intralipids and she hardly ever missed. And if they did and they weren't comfortable trying again they would ask someone else to look. They really make me feel like I'm a really person not just a science experiment. After everything we've been through they really make it easier to handle. They are the best at what they do and I couldn't ask for better nurses

For my medications I paid about 250-250$ a month. Intralipids were 56$ every two weeks, endometrin were 15$ for 3 boxes, progesterone in oil were 15$ for 2 vials, the HCG wash was 15$ for one vial, the LDN was was 50$ for a 3 months supply. During the egg retrieval the gonal -f was $15 per pen and I used 3 or 4 total, the metopur was 15$ for 4 boxes, and cetratid was 15$ for 4 boxes. After it was done all of the medicine I had left I donates to the doctors office to give to peope who don't have as good of insurance as we do and can't afford to buy them.
Describe Michael Grossman's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
The choice was left up to me and my husband. The first two transfers we did 2 each time and they failed or I had an ectopic pregnancy. The last transfer we did we chose to do one embryo and it was successful. I think it makes a different some people (me included) can't handle more than one embryo at a time.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
Once or twice I had to call to get my results. It's not a big deal I know the nurses get busy and if it's not critical they for get to call. I would just call the next morning and find out my results.
I loved that during my consult Dr. Grossman wrote everything down for me. He went through complications that could happen from any of the treatments that were offered. He also wrote down success percentages for my diagnosis and age. He left so much time at the end of my appt for questions that either my husband or I had. He really took the time to make sure that we left with all our questions answered and I appreciate that so much.
CNY is very impressive! I love the patient portal. I love that we can communicate with doctors, nurses, billing, embryology all on the portal. When I went to my consultation the waiting room was packed, not an open chair but luckily we were called in pretty quickly. The office itself is beautiful and clean. I love that massage and acupuncture is offered right in the office.

Dr Grossman was so warm and welcoming. I came to my appt so nervous and he put me at ease. He made us laugh and just made us comfortable. He knew that I had prior treatment elsewhere but still reviewed the basics with me.

So far I have only had a consult with Dr. Grossman. But I am getting ready to start an egg retrieval soon. I am ordered follistim 225iu,menopur 75, ganirelix, and Lupron. This is a higher dose of follistim than I was on at my previous clinic, so we will see how it goes.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
I love that CNY has means of communication on the patient portal. Everyone answers pretty quickly and so far I am very pleased. I have only met one nurse in person so far and she was very caring, nice, and professional.

Describe Michael Grossman's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
After I had 2 FET failures at my pervious clinic, Dr. Grossman said that we can transfer 2 embryos if I would like.
We didn't interact much with Dr. Kiltz, but we felt that everyone was extremely helpful and made us feel comfortable and confident in the process...didn't ask to speak with him since I felt so confident with the nurses and the staff...never felt like I really needed the doctor to explain anymore than what the nurses are telling me...It was a very standard IVF protocol...
The nurses and staff at CNY Albany are amazing and have been there to answer all of our questions along the way. We didn't interact much with Dr. Kiltz, but we felt that everyone was extremely helpful and made us feel comfortable and confident in the process. We are very grateful for the nurses and staff...they run the clinic like a well oiled machine...told it would be beneficial to have a frozen transfer.
How was your experience with Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
We didn 't have any interactions with Dr. Kiltz so I can't say honestly anything about him personally. We spoke with Dr. Grossman initially on the phone, and he was wonderful and answered all our questions with some levity.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Robert Kiltz at CNY Fertility Center?
We are having success, so he knows what he's doing and the nurses and staff are wonderful.

Describe the protocols Robert Kiltz used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
It was a very standard IVF protocol and we began with stimulation. I was on a low dose since I have lean PCOS and had a lot of follicles. The retrieval went well and they retrieved 25 eggs. We did the testing since they said I should since I'm "older" which helped us see we had a boy and a girl, 2 unknowns, and 1 mosiac. It was very expensive but it allowed us to use the strong male embryo first. We were also told it would be beneficial to have a frozen transfer. So I went on a couple weeks birth control so we could time the transfer with my next cycle. I'm glad we did, but it was uncomfortable "holding off" the period but it was worth it since we were able to do the transfer just 10 days after the results came back from the genetics lab. Now I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and everything is looking great. I am on the current progesterone and estrodial (3x/day) and the injections are painful so I also use patches the nurse recommended and it's been very helpful since I still have 4 more weeks! As far as I know, I'm on a very standard medication protocol.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
The nurses have been incredible! I've had amazing conversations with all of them and they have been extremely positive in our journey and every time we see them. Even the nurses on the phone have been extraordinary and will answer any questions and stay on the phone with you as long as you need. It's been so helpful and a blessing speaking with them.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
The strengths are that they run the clinic like a well oiled machine and still take time to answer all of your questions. I didn't have interactions with the main doctor, but I also didn't ask to speak with him since I felt so confident with the nurses and the staff. I knew they knew what they are doing and never felt like I really needed the doctor to explain anymore than what the nurses are telling me.

Around 5k for IVF, 3k medications, 3k genetic testing, 1,400 frozen transfer, another 1k for additional medications (first trimester pregnancy) additonal 1k since we can't pay upfront. So far it's been 14, 400
Describe Robert Kiltz's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
They highly recommended single embyro transfer and we also wanted that from the beginning. We want to go one at a time and have the best opportunity for each embyro. I'm very happy we did just one :)
Cookie cutter protocols [with Dr. Michael Grossman]...The medications he put me on for stimulation and egg retrieval worked wonderfully for me. He listened and considered my concerns of ohss. I felt completely safe and comfortable with him doing my egg retrieval. Which went great! On the negative side I feel that my specific situation wasn’t considered and was placed on a cookie cutter protocol for embryo transfer. I was not given a chance nor different options discussed with me about different transfer protocol options. When I asked about different protocols I received a very negative response.
Great cost and compassion [at CNY Fertility] but they see ALOT of people. In my opinion this is both a strength and weakness. Being your own advocate here is important. Their main weakness I think is treating so many people that it puts a lot of pressure on the patient to make choices they may not fully understand with lack of guidance...Their [nurses] caring and compassion is outstanding including the staff in the finance department and the front desk. Some of my conversations with them have left me feeling doubtful of their overall knowledge though
How was your experience with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
In general I found him to be a knowledgeable and caring doctor. I would definitely recommend him. Sadly I think my story and experience with my FET echos to many other women’s. Who’s cases are treated generically lacking guidance or understanding of options available.

What specific things went wrong at CNY Fertility Center?
For my second IVF, I wanted to work with Dr. Grossman because I think he has a more practical approach. During consults, he takes the time to listen and answer your questions. During procedures, he is more pragmatic...Added Cetrotide 0.25mg on day 6. Triggered with Lupron on day 12 as my estrogen went too high - I think I was stimulated for too long. Retrieved 16 eggs but only 2 made it to day 5 and 6...While you can schedule a call with the doctor over the phone, it is best to have an in-person meeting before you start your cycle. I actually came away with some free medications that they had to spare.
You don't deal with the same person [at CNY Fertility Center] so it's hard to get consistency but they are usually friendly. Your main interaction is with the nurses but sometimes you don't know if they are all on the same page...IVF with remote management fee $4050. My medications were donated so the costs were minimal for this round. FET transfers are $450...I think that many people choose this clinic because it is affordable. I would say this would be a good option if your fertility issues are not too complicated. The clinic doesn't feel like a hospital - there is a lovely fireplace that is always on. You can have a complimentary massage in the waiting room before your procedure.
How was your experience with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
I initially had another doctor at CNY and felt confused by the alternative medications that I had been prescribed, some of which are still sitting in a box at home. For my second IVF, I wanted to work with Dr. Grossman because I think he has a more practical approach. During consults, he takes the time to listen and answer your questions. During procedures, he is more pragmatic.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
Be proactive. Many patients probably travel to this clinic as it is one of the most affordable. While you can schedule a call with the doctor over the phone, it is best to have an in-person meeting before you start your cycle. I actually came away with some free medications that they had to spare.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
As a travel patient, there is no consistency with who you are dealing with. Sometimes someone picks up the phone right away. Other times you are on hold for 20 minutes. You don't really know who you're going to speak with and whether they will give you the right advice. Some interactions are more pleasant than others.

Strengths [of CNY Fertility]: 1)Excellent care and communication 2)Affordable treatments 3) Technology (I was able to view lab results right away and keep track of my progress thanks to their patient portal) 4) Holistic/Alternative medicine approach resulted in a viable embryo and less side effects Weakness: 1) Treatment offerings... How was your experience with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
Dr.Grossman was very good. He did explain the good with the bad. I am glad he was able to answer all my questions while not making me feel rushed or unimportant. He actually addressed my concerns which was unlike my experience at another clinic I won't name here. Basically after my 1st cycle with this other clinic I was afraid and upset. Dr.Grossman has renewed my faith in the process. He still answers my emails even though my cycle has been completed.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
He's not like others you may have dealt with. He genuinely wants you to understand the process and help in your journey.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
The team genuinely care for me. Dr.Grossman met with me to explain the problems getting to my left ovary then referred me to Dr.Kiltz. The team worked with me to make sure I could save money by using meds from a previous cycle with another clinic as well as understood a more holistic approach.
Describe the protocols Michael Grossman used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
Used natural low dose IVF because I had plenty of meds left over from a cycle at another clinic. I also had overstimulation from the other clinics high dose protocol. Diet was changed to organic Keto because I was overweight.
Results were an embryo formed, weight loss and overall better health than when I started.

$3900 for the cycle including monitoring. Medications were around $4000 but used meds from previous cycle from another clinic 1st.
We haven't seen Dr. Kiltz yet but we have heard nothing but good things about him... and in helping us plan the process of egg retrieval he has worked hard to create a personalized plan just for us... We are on a less aggressive ivf treatment, where i will provide the eggs and my partner will carry them. So I am taking the injections such as: gonal f 450 iu and cetrotide 0.25mg, along with an Hgc-lh supplement that they substituted for menapur
They [CNY Fertility] try to give you a catered, exact plan to your family needs and even gave us a military discount because I'm active duty army.... when we went to the clinic in Albany, my wife and I were blown away by how homey and nice it was. There was gentle lighting in the waiting room and even a fire going with coffee and tea. The clinic was very clean and professional. One of the better ones we've seen.

Definitely go to CNY fertility and use Dr. Kiltz, we have full confidence in him and his abilities.

My partner and I felt like we were treated like human beings because the nurses were always friendly and willing to help and we appreciate that Dr. Kiltz tries to see as many patients as he can so as many couples can finally start their family.
Describe the protocols Robert Kiltz used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
Dr. Kiltz uses multiple different strategies or plans for his patients, depending on the level of treatment that they need. We are on a less aggressive ivf treatment, where i will provide the eggs and my partner will carry them. So I am taking the injections such as: gonal f 450 iu and cetrotide 0.25mg, along with an Hgc-lh supplement that they substituted for menapur because my insurance doesn't cover menapur and hcg-lh is more cost effective and still a good match for me. I really appreciate them understanding that this is an expensive procedure and helping us in any way they can. After we complete the injections and retrieve my eggs, we will then do genetic testing of the successfully retrieved eggs and then implant them in my partner when she is ready to receive them.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at CNY Fertility Center.
The nursing staff here is patient and helpful. They answer all of our questions and get back to us in a very timely manner if they don't know right away.

My doctor sufficiency educated us on the trade offs and we have chosen a multiple embryo transfer just in case
He [Dr. Grossman] was very straightforward and methodically took us through our different options and the success rates of each. He gave us time to ask all of our questions without us feeling rushed. We were seen right on time and the appointment lasted the expected amount of time....I am having issues with my uterine lining thickening during my mock cycle. It has been suggested to take Intramuscular estrogen, use Viagra to increase circulation to the area, and take a course of antibiotics to minimize inflammation and local flora.
Beautiful facility [CNY Fertility]. Very clean and organized. Staff is polite and efficient. I love that they have acupuncture and massage on site- I appreciate the mix of eastern and western medicine and it Makes a stressful process more relaxing....During my mock cycle I had to be on top of the results and when they came in. I am a healthcare provider so I understand what’s going on so I didn’t need as much support, but I was surprised how little was communicated without me inquiring.

He took the time to thank us for the long wait for our appointment and for traveling far to receive care at the clinic. He asked us a few questions about ourselves to get to know us better. He also took the time to explain about his background and experience as well as what his role will be in our care.

I have not gone through a new cycle yet so I cannot comment if this worked.
Describe your experience with your nurse at CNY Fertility Center. (Assigned nurse: Allyson Santoro)
Allyson responds very quickly via their online portal. It is hard to call and get in touch with her unless it’s been planned via the portal. She has directed me through the initial phases of my treatment and has contacted the doctor when needed.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
During my mock cycle I had to be on top of the results and when they came in. I am a healthcare provider so I understand what’s going on so I didn’t need as much support, but I was surprised how little was communicated without me inquiring.
I do not have enough experience personally with Dr. Ditkoff, I simply saw him briefly for my retrievals, however he seemed to be very serious about his job. I felt as if he doesn't like to waste his time or mine as a patient. I would agree with most that he lacks bedside manner, however what I do appreciate is his attention to details. I also must say that out of all the egg retrievals I've gone through, the ones performed by Ditkoff left me with no pain, symptoms, or even slight bleeding afterward.
I cannot say enough good things about the entire staff at CNY. A well-oiled machine that runs efficiently. At the same time, the vibe in the office is warm, inviting, and everyone seems to love their jobs....The patient portal is very inefficient and having a global travel team sounds good in theory, but ultimately you get passed along multiple people who make various decisions throughout a given cycle that do NOT always correlate to one another. I have been prescribed different doses of meds by two separate nurses for the same cycle (causing serious confusion).
How was your experience with Edward Ditkoff at CNY Fertility Center?
I do not have enough experience personally with Dr. Ditkoff, I simply saw him briefly for my retrievals, however he seemed to be very serious about his job. I felt as if he doesn't like to waste his time or mine as a patient. I would agree with most that he lacks bedside manner, however what I do appreciate is his attention to details. I also must say that out of all the egg retrievals I've gone through, the ones performed by Ditkoff left me with no pain, symptoms, or even slight bleeding afterward. I wouldn't have even known I went through the procedure had I not been there myself!
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Edward Ditkoff at CNY Fertility Center?
I would not recommend him to a patient that needs a doctor to coddle them. But I would him to a "veteran" fertility patient who admires a doctor's precision and experience.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Edward Ditkoff at CNY Fertility Center?
Dr. Ditkoff was very straightforward and clinical in his approach to me as a patient. However, he was also very thorough in his approach. I was only able to meet Dr. Ditkoff on the days of egg retrieval.
Describe the protocols Edward Ditkoff used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.

Describe your experience with your nurse at CNY Fertility Center. (Assigned nurse: Justine Taylor)
I cannot say enough good things about the entire staff at CNY. A well-oiled machine that runs efficiently. At the same time, the vibe in the office is warm, inviting, and everyone seems to love their jobs. Justine was so helpful. She took the time to sit with me, discuss my options and treatment plans. She empowered me as a patient, and relieved much of my stress and anxiety. I felt in control of my personal outcome both mentally and physically because of the way she spoke to me and informed me through every step of the way. I have never felt so sure of my decisions through my treatments until now and that is because she patiently educated me about the process, something that is highly unusual in this medical field.
Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
The staff is this clinic's strength. I would also say that the setting and environment in the clinic is phenomenal. This process is stressful enough, so the environment they have created which is warm, relaxing, and inviting is one of a kind. You truly feel appreciated as a patient. Their website patient portal however is absolutely terrible and is a terrible weakness. Communication is completely lost if you as a patient rely on the portal.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
The patient portal is very inefficient and having a global travel team sounds good in theory, but ultimately you get passed along multiple people who make various decisions throughout a given cycle that do NOT always correlate to one another. I have been prescribed different doses of meds by two separate nurses for the same cycle (causing serious confusion). I have had my protocol changed based on numerous nurse's strategies during the cycle, which is not instilling me with confidence. Half the emails that I send never even get a response. And if I do get a response, it's days later. After the 2nd cycle, I had to stop using the patient portal altogether, and I never went back. I just called directly in to the clinic and essentially became my own advocate.
My protocol was not very intense for my first cycle which I appreciated. I was thankful for this because overstimulation was a concern of mine during my initial consult. ... Dr. Grossman was patient, kind, and took the time to answer all of mine and my husbands questions before retrieval and transfer. He had a demeanor that made me feel safe. ... The two interactions I did have with him were very pleasant. He was thorough in explaining the procedures and expectations. He was honest and gentle in not only his treatment but in his manner.
I will say being a travel patient faced it’s challenges in just finding a proper place to monitor. Making last minute travel arrangements was also a bit stressful and costly. ... The nurses at CNY are godsends. These women are wonderful at talking you off a ledge, especially when its your first time and you have a million questions and uncertainties. They are kind and informative and compassionate.
How was your experience with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
I was a travel patient which made it difficult to truly build a relationship with Dr. Grossman, however I knew all of this coming into it. The two interactions I did have with him were very pleasant. He was thorough in explaining the procedures and expectations. He was honest and gentle in not only his treatment but in his manner.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
To trust the process although you may not be directly dealing with him the entire time.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center?
While CNY is a high volume clinic, and during the stimulation process and transfer preparation I mostly dealt with the fabulous nursing staff, Dr. Grossman was patient, kind, and took the time to answer all of mine and my husbands questions before retrieval and transfer. He had a demeanor that made me feel safe. He explained everything he did during transfer and was realistic about our chances of success that cycle. I appreciated him not planting false hope, but suggesting that we remain optimistically hopeful for success.
Describe the protocols Michael Grossman used in your cycles at CNY Fertility Center and their degree of success.
My protocol was not very intense for my first cycle which I appreciated. I was thankful for this because overstimulation was a concern of mine during my initial consult. I was on relatively low doses of menapur and gonal for my retrieval.
However, because I was a travel patient, and I had an extremely difficult time finding a facility to monitor me during stimulation, I believe that may be where my cycle failed. Accurate results were not reported to Dr. Grossman and he worked with what he had. For transfer I was on the usual estradiol and progesterone while continuing all of my vitamins. This part of my cycle monitoring was much less complicated and results were reported to the clinic that were accurate.

Describe your experience with CNY Fertility Center.
Strengths this clinic has is all of the wonderful nurses available to you to answer any questions. The facility is beautiful, the lobby is inviting and comforting. The price is affordable so that every single couple can realize their dream of having a family.
I can’t think of any weaknesses that I would directly relate to the clinic. I will say being a travel patient faced it’s challenges in just finding a proper place to monitor. Making last minute travel arrangements was also a bit stressful and costly.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at CNY Fertility Center.
I was a travel patient so I had to locate a facility that would do my monitoring. The most stressful part of my IVF journey was this. Where I live I could not find one place that would agree to monitor me. Once I did find a facility that was almost 2 hours from where I live, they did not count and measure all follicles. This did not have anything to do with CNY and they were extremely patient, understanding, and at one point tried helping me find a place where I could go monitor. I had my labs drawn at lapcorp which for the most part did get my results by end of day to CNY.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Michael Grossman at CNY Fertility Center.
IVF was $4,050
Transfer cost was $250
Travel and accommodation costs $2,000
Medications around $1,500
Describe Michael Grossman's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
In most cases CNY will only transfer one embryo. I however had two embryos, one of fair quality and the other poor. Because of this I asked Dr. Grossman to transfer both, as to not prolong starting a new cycle, if the first failed. He was open and honest and explained that it wouldn't increase my chances of pregnancy but my chances of multiples which could have its own set of complications.

Describe Edward Ditkoff's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at CNY Fertility Center.
This was not discussed. We anticipate transferring two embryos due to my age, if Ditkoff permits.
Dr. Grossman is a great doctor, good bedside manner. He makes some jokes to try and lighten the mood and makes sure to ask if you have any other questions. I've never felt rushed by him. ... Be prepared for him to be a little wishy washy with some answers to your questions. IVF is not an exact science, so when asking "what should we do differently for the next transfer..." unfortunately the answer is often "well, we could try x, y or z" if there was a 100% option that worked it would be done from the first transfer.
The clinic is great, we travel from out of state to go to CNY. It is very relaxing and cozy. They sometimes run late (2 hours for my egg retrieval!) but I imagine all doctors offices have that issue sometimes. Embryology lab is right next to retrieval and transfer rooms, which is nice. ... For both of my negative betas, I was told to "have a nice day!" at the end of the phone call. Read the room, I am not going to have a nice day after my embryo transfer has failed.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at CNY Fertility Center.
One of my FET meds wasn't called in, and when I got my meds list the day that I needed them, I had to drive that day to an out of the area pharmacy that had it in stock. It ended up being okay but was definitely stressful and could have ended up being a disaster if it hadnt been in stock in the area. A simple thing that should have been avoided, and it ended up ruining my plans for the day due to the drive to pick it up.
I have yet to meet with him [Dr. Kiltz] other than he introduced himself and was inviting and welcoming. A very likeable man. I watch his videos on FB and feel that we are in good hands to add on to our family. His demeanor apears open and honest and he genuinely wants to help couples conceive ... I am in my first cycle of IVF. Im day 9 of an 11 day meditation session. 300 units of menopur 1 prednisone 2 a day One injection of cetrotide which started day 8.
The staff [CNY Fertility] is very kind and welcoming. We get to choose our sonographer and I always choose Anna. She always makes me feel at ease and answers any questions I have in a way I can understand. The NP was amazing at listening and making sure we understood why certain medications would be better than others so we wouldn't waste time or money.
