We have actually begun the process of seeking IVF consultation twice now. We first met with Dr. Greene a couple of years ago and life happened, so we discontinued our appointments at that time. Fast forward two years and my wife and I are in a place where we were ready to pursue this as an option and remembered Dr. Greene and his team at Conceptions in Lafayette, CO. They did a great job of explaining the process, discussing possible issues, and making us feel like this was a common problem for couples to have. My wife and I are a bit younger than some others who are seeking this treatment – we are both in our early 30s – but they have been great at explaining to us some of the reasons, causes, and solutions to the issue we have had. They have been very accommodating to our schedule, have followed up with us regarding appointments and testing as well as discussing payment options – this is an expensive process! After meeting Dr. Greene, we are excited to begin the process of working with Conceptions to conceive ourselves! I would highly recommend Conceptions in Lafayette, CO, Dr. Greene and his team of knowledgeable staff and nurses.

Dr Greene was able to help us start our family he was caring and positive through it all. We had a rough road and he made sure to explain everything in depth not leaving out anything. The more we knew about our situation we were able to get around obstacles. Dr Greene helped gives us the hope we needed to do this!

We went through many hormones for egg retrieval as well as for our transfer. Metformin- to help egg quality. We were extremely lucky our health insurance actually helped pay for our treatment. They clinic was very open with costs and the financial options that we have.

With the success rate I believe the single transfer is the best course of treatment

Dr. Greene and O’Shaunessy were copassionate, smart, energetic, positive, hopeful and kind. They refused to do anything that wasn’t the highest and best care. They monitored things like thyroid and vitemin d much closer than other people I knew. They were so careful not to allow me to get OHSS, even though it was tempting to continue stimulation meds.

Take notes, ask questions, advocate for yourself, be patient and have hope. Be ready for a big time commitment. Go first thing in the morning if you can for ultrasounds and blood work.

I did famera and timed intercourse. Gonal-F, Manipur, Lipton and ovadrel for retrieval. Lupron , vitamin d, baby aspirin, progesterone, Estrace and estrogen patches for transfer. I did a freeze all retrieval then icsi with PGS testing and frozen embryo transfer.

They went the safest route with single embryo because they were genetically tested.

Dr. Riggs was an honest, likable individual. He answered all of our questions and was candid about what we should expect. He gave us an honest, educated opinion every step of the way.

Make a list of questions prior to each visit, to ensure they all get answered.

We attempted two rounds of IUI using Femara. I do consistently ovulate, but I have Diminished Ovarian Reserve, so the goal behind this was to stimulate a "good" egg. Unfortunately, we did not succeed at getting pregnant. Next, we tried IVF with maximum stimulation using Follistim, Omnitrope (growth hormone to increase egg quality), and Menopur. Unfortunately, I did not make enough follicles to proceed to egg retrieval. Dr. Riggs was willing to try a different treatment approach in an attempt to make more follicles, but we opted to move on to embryo adoption at that point.

Each IUI cycle was approximately $1500, and the IVF cycle was $15,000 (fresh cycle, no genetic testing of embryos). The additional costs such as labs, surgery, and other procedures brought our total for the year to $30,000

Mark Bush was empathetic to my feelings, and helpful when it came to explaining how we were going to move forward. He didn't seem too interested in the temp/tracking charts I brought in though. Those would have been really helpful.

Just make sure to write down questions beforehand so you don't forget certain things you need more clarity on. A lot is discussed so it is easy to leave the appointment without having all of your questions answered. The questions you do ask will be answered in a considerate and professional way.

I wasn't ovulating or having a period at all. Mark Bush and his nurses adjusted the treatment strategies as we went because my body constantly decided to do stupid things. All I will say is to be your own advocate. Make sure you understand everything you are doing, and it's ok to say no if you aren't comfortable with something. Fertility drugs shouldn't be pushed on anyone, and they shouldn't be given out like candy either. Make sure to get proper monitoring on medicated cycles. I had an issue that could have been prevented with better monitoring.

Anything infertility related is expensive even with insurance. It really hurts your bank account, but that is anywhere. I had decent insurance so it could have been worse.

Dr. Ambler is not overly compassionate and can present information in a blunt manner, but she delivers bad news gently. I prefer physicians who present information factually and avoid sugar-coating bad news, so I liked Dr. Ambler's approach. Infertility diagnoses and treatments can be confusing, so it is challenging as a patient to know what questions to ask during office visits when you hear your diagnosis for the first time. Dr. Ambler and her nurse were available to answer questions after appointments if I had any. Dr. Ambler changed her treatment plan for me as needed based on my results & response to medications. She kept me informed regarding why she was making the changes and what to expect with the new medications. In addition to the initial consultation visit, Dr. Ambler also met with my husband and me after completing 3 rounds of treatments to reassess our plan.

Research infertility treatment options before your consultation visit and come with prepared questions. I recommend reading Toni Weschler, MPH's book, "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" to better understand reproductive health, in general. Schedule time for acupuncture, massage, or relaxation to help you maintain sanity while addressing infertility.

First Cycle: Took Clomid 50 mg for 7 days. Dr. Ambler also prescribed DHEA 75 mg daily (lab work performed to find optimal dose) and 300 mg of CoQ10 daily. I developed an ovarian cyst with Clomid and did not release an egg. Clomid was given to encourage my body to produce more FSH and LH to stimulate egg production. CoQ10 and DHEA help make mature ovaries (maternal age above 35) more responsive and "youthful." Second Cycle: Took Clomid 50 mg for 5 days. Ultrasound showed an 8 mm immature follicle only on day 12 & LH surge detected in bloodwork on same day. No trigger medications given due to follicle immaturity. Natural intercourse with husband recommended but did not result in pregnancy. Third Cycle: Letrozole 2.5 mg pills taken once daily on cycle day 3 to 7. Daily Menopur 75 IU subcutaneous injections started on day 6 until day 9. One mature follicle and one immature follicle were noted with ultrasound on day 10. Lab work indicated I was going to ovulate early, and the egg was released before triggering and retrieval could be performed. Again, natural intercourse was recommended, but no pregnancy resulted. Letrozole (Femara) was given to stimulate follicle development and ovulation. Femara is often given if a woman does not respond to Clomid. Menopur is a gonadotropin that mimics FSH and stimulates the ovaries to produce follicles. Fourth Cycle: Letrozole 5 mg was taken from cycle day 3 until cycle day 7. Menopur 75 IU subcutaneous injection was given cycle day 6 until cycle day 10. Menopur 150 IU subcutaneous injections started on cycle day 10. Lab work and ultrasound performed on cycle day 12, and I again showed signs of early ovulation. Two mature follicles noted. No triggering medications given, and no egg retrieval possible. Fifth Cycle: Letrozole 5 mg taken cycle day 3 to 7, menopur 75 IU injections given days 6 to 9, menopur 150 IU given days 10-11. Ganirelix started on day 12 to prevent ovulation until follicle could mature. Intra-uterine insemination performed, but did not result in pregnancy because of poor sperm quality (low motility, low count, abnormal morphology). Continued intra-uterine insemination, despite low quality sperm, because my ovary had prepared a healthy mature follicle. Prometrium 200 mg (Progesterone) was taken after IUI. No pregnancy resulted. Ganirelix is a gonadotropin releasing hormone antagonist and was given to delay ovulation since I had a pattern of early ovulation.

I don't remember the exact costs of the medications, but I paid between $200 to $500 for the medications each cycle. The IUI cost approximately $4000. My insurance covered lab work and ultrasounds at 80%, so I paid $50 to $150 for diagnostic testing.

Dr. Ambler did not express a strong preference for single vs multiple embryo transfer, but we did not reach a point in my treatment where we were discussing embryo transfer for IVF. At the consultation, she recommended single embryo transfer due to risks associated with twins, triplets, etcetera.

Dr Greene is a busy doctor, but I feel he is genuinely invested in our success, because our success is his success. I would recommend, we have a beautiful baby boy because of his help! We had a failed cycle as well, and he was very clinical and numbers driven in his responses. Overall I feel he is a compassionate doctor willing to do what it takes for success.

Go in being cautiously optimistic. It’s not guaranteed, but if you keep a positive attitude it can happen. Oh, and know it’s gonna cost you, especially I. Colorado! 😫

I did medicated cycles both times, the second time around the Lupron and Metformin really messed with me. I will be adding HGH this time.

In total we have spent $30,000 at Dr Greene’s office, not including medications.

We were advised to do a single transfer since it was just my tubes that were the problem.

I have been overwhelmed with how amazing the care has been at conceptions. The nurses and Dr. Greene have taken exceptional care of both me and my husband. Dr Greene has always treated us like we were his only patients. He has always been prepared for the appointments and knew exactly who he was talking to. I really appreciate when a doctor doesn’t forget that I don’t have a uterus and can’t carry a child— DR Greene has always been sensitive to that.

I would recommend Dr Greene (and have) to anyone seeking help with infertility. I feel like we were given the best protocol to give us the best chance of having a life birth. Without Dr Greene and his team we would not have our baby!

For egg retrieval I was given a mild dose of all the medications and I was very reactive to them. Dr Greene did not allow me to produce too many eggs and I was closely monitored for OHSS. I only had one normal PGS embryo and was given intralipids to help the chances of implantation.

I was able to stop by the clinic in the mornings before work. They were easy and quick.

IVF and one FET were a total cost of $18,000. Medications ran from $4,000 for FET to $6,000 for IVF.

Single embryo transfer was our only option due to only one embryo testing PGS normal.

Dr. Greene explains everything thoroughly, takes and answers questions seriously, and replies to emails with information and kindness. He always has encouraging words for us as we leave each appointment.

Dr. Greene is very knowledgeable, so come with all of your questions, whether you think they might be silly or not! He is honest and direct but also encouraging and optimistic.

I have mild/moderate endo and potentially some male-factor in my partner. IUI was presented as a reasonable option for us. We have done 2 rounds with 5 mg of letrozole. The first was unsuccessful, and we’re waiting to find out about the second one.

We had an initial $450 fee for the consultation and testing, then each IUI cycle was $700 (our insurance paid the other half). We also had to pay for medication and injections.

We have not done IVF.

I felt so comfortable and at ease under Dr. Greene’s care and felt confident that he was going to do everything in his capabilities to assist my husband and I with building our family. He was extremely patient with me, very communicative, and responsive. He is the reason that I am a mom and that we have a son and for that, I couldn’t be more thankful!

I have a Robertsonian’s Translocation and had two failed egg retrievals and transfers with a previous physician/clinic. When we saw Dr. Greene after a failed adoption, we were ready to proceed with egg donation for which he assisted. We received 14 embryos that were chromosomal normal from the one donor cycle and the first transferred embryo became my son who was born full term and healthy in Dec 2022

Dr Greene is extremely approachable, eager and open to answering questions. I like that he didn't try to push my husband and I toward making a decision about choosing IUI vs IVF. He was honest and forthcoming with what he believed our chances would be given our numbers and test results and allowed us to make a decision on our own. I tried really hard not to cry during our follow-up consultation but I did, and he was very understanding and caring.

If you are doing IUI, you need to be prepared that you will not have a lot of interaction with Dr Greene apart from the initial consultations.

I was 100% self pay, insurance only covered diagnostic testing at the beginning. Each IUI round was about $1,500.

We saw doctor Bush in 2012 and 2014,he was way more compassionate and helpful in 2012 then he was in 2014. He treated us like he didn't want to bother with us even though circumstances changed. The first few times we met him in 2012 we really like him but in 2014 when we questioned some things he acted very arrogant and basically said he knows best. We opted not to continue with his clinic.

If you are looking for bed side manner he might not be your best choice.

Dr. Green was very straight forward and kind. He offered several options and gave pros and cons and helped us pick the best route and guided us on next steps. He explained everything very thoroughly and answered all of our questions. He took his time to make sure we understood everything he said and what is going on.

Dr. Green is realistic, he doesn't sugarcoat but he is very kind and knowledgeable.

My initial workup was around $600 and then one round of IUI was a little over $1000.

From the first day I met Dr. Greene we felt welcomed and important. Not only from him, but from the entire team at Conceptions. Right away I felt like I was in the best hands possible for this trying time in life. They immediately built a trusting relationship with us, and because of never having to doubt their recommendations, we were able to move through the difficult process with a little more peace of mind.

Strengths: He knows his stuff, some of his staff is good. Weaknesses: know it all, blunt but doesn't explain. Feel rushed and some answers feel incomplete or confusing. He has his PA abd staff take care of everything. He doesn't respond to or see the patient unless you're paying a copay and doing a regroup.

Ask questions, write everything down and ask for copies of everything!

All diagnosis testing. Sperm testing, boodwork and HSG. Health history. TTC history. Given a prescription Prenatal - Vitapearl. Did a medicated cycle, then an IUI, got prego lost due to ectopic and had to hqve surgery for further testing and diagnosis. All IUI treatments used Letrozol 2.5 mg and Ovidrel trigger shot. Progesterone suppositories. Needed Vitamin D supplements as well. I have had cysts and currently skipping a cycle to prevent possible ovary torsion. Everything thst has been done is due to being unexplained infertility and to give my chances tge best environment.

I wish there was more of a patient doctor relationship. I enjoy him as a person but there is not much of a relationship and that is hard when you are spending thousands of dollars to feel like a number.

If you want a relationship and to see your doctor I would advise them to go somewhere else.

Dr. Greene was the absolute best! Friendly, knowledgeable and very intelligent. He was good at explaining everything. He worked to make my body healthier ahead of time which was life changing. His kindness, friendliness and amazing sense of humor made the process so much easier to endure. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Greene. I highly recommend! You won’t regret!

Do whatever he recommends. He’s incredible at what he does and you won’t regret it!

Ivf cycles but due to poor egg quality he recommended donor eggs. We were successful on first donor cycle. In addition Dr, Greene worked in my overall health which was life changing.

Dr Greene recommended no more than two embryos transferred in case of multiple pregnancies and I agreed wholeheartedly!

Dr. Greene was very optimistic about our chances for success, our results were surprising to everyone - zero viable eggs retrieved. During our regroup, he was compassionate, caring and encouraged us to consider donor eggs. When asked what he would change about our protocol if we were to try again with our own eggs, his response was unclear.

Take his optimism with a grain of salt, ask about expected results and best/worst case scenarios. Push for details in changes to protocols if needed.

The antagonist protocol was used with birth control prior to the cycle. All my numbers looked good and it was thought that I would respond well. It produced no viable eggs.

Dr. Greene often seems distracted during our visits and burned out. It was really upsetting when he didn't even reach out after my miscarriage. When I ask him specific questions about my treatment or concerns he acts annoyed.

We did a donor embryo transfer cycle with Dr. Greene which resulted in a miscarriage at 7 weeks. We did a modified natural cycle after having to cancel several cycles with Lupron. We also elected to use Omnitrope and intralipids which were optional add ons

We had to pay a $4,500 "donor embryo coordination fee" which was not billable to insurance. All of the fertility treatments are extremely overpriced

Dr. Greene is very compassionate, he explains everything in detail and backs up his information. Dr. Greene makes sure that all his patients questions have been answered before they leave the office. Dr. Greene made sure that my iui's and my ivf and frozen transfers that I was always comfortable. Dr. Greene definitely is a doctor that I trust and recommend to anyone.

Trust Dr. Greene he does an awesome job, he backs up his information and treats you like family.

We went to him in April, started the process in late May, and I'm currently 7w2d pregnant with my first. The nursing staff has been great and it's been as smooth of a process as this can be (knowing this is never a smooth process)

Dr. Greene gets to know you as a person. He is very related. He is very knowledgeable and makes you feel like your apart of the decisions. Dr. Greene will do everything he can to help you become successful on your journey.

Don't be able to ask question. Dr. Greene will take the time to answer them and help you feel confident. You are still in charge of your journey.

My first cycle was monitored carefully. Dr. Greene had suspected PCOS but I never showed symptoms so it was hard to diagnose. As my retrieval grew closer Dr. Greene made the decision to move my retrieval up. I think this was a good idea as my eggs quality were decreasing each day. After my first transfer failed, Dr. Greene gave us ample options as to what to change this time and why. He told us his professional opinion but ultimately let us choose the path to go down.

We went through the BUNDL program

Although I didn’t see him often, he was very warm and friendly. He kept me optimistic and positive. He also was sure to share information and make sure I understood my treatment. Dr. Greene was honest with treatment and what we should expect in our situation. I am very thankful that he kept it real, but still knew how to present the information in an appropriate manner.

Listen to what he has to say! He might not tell you what you want to hear, but he is giving you the appropriate information.

We went straight to IVF after the infertility diagnosis. My Fallopian tubes are occluded bilaterally and the only option for treatment was IVF. He explained that surgery could happen for me, but most insurance doesn’t cover it, I would have to wait to see if the surgery was even successful, and most women have to do IVF anyway. I did research and he was right. I don’t remember the exact protocols used, but during egg retrieval Dr. Greene monitored my follicle growth throughout and did have to make adjustments to my meds. This was successful as 19 follicles were retrieved. As for FET, we only had to transfer one embryo one time for a successful live birth.

It was extremely expensive, but it is expensive at any clinic. My IVF treatment including genetic testing was over $19,000 and the medication was around $7,000. I do wish the clinic was more helpful in “shopping” for medication vs using the expensive specialty pharmacies.

Dr. Greene explained the rationale for transferring a single embryo, but he still let us make that decision for ourselves. He presented us with facts and let us discuss what we felt was right for our family.

We had a protocol that was tailored to our circumstances. He shared his research and if he needed to know more about an issue, he would research it for himself to know what was best for us. Very knowledgeable and positive..He really tried to get to know and understand us as people and patient's.

For first timers, it may feel like you are waiting for "next steps" constantly, but the wait is worth getting your treatment specialized for you and what you need.
