Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

Don’t expect a great bedside manner from him [Dr. Mark Bush], but you can from the nurses (who you primarily communicate with anyway). Also, don’t let that interfere with your trust in him - he is brilliant and knows what he is doing. He is on your side and wants a positive outcome also.... Having PCOS (and being an over producer of eggs) his strategy for the egg retrieval was to grow “low and slow” - small increments of hormone dosages that gradually increased until trigger
[Conceptions Reproductive Associates- Littleton's] Strengths: Everyone is friendly and on your side. When I felt scared and alone, I had the nurses who comforted me. Weaknesses: Althoufh not terrible, I think the communication and organization could improve. Maybe the nurse to patient ratio is too high.... Having PCOS (and being an over producer of eggs) his strategy for the egg retrieval was to grow “low and slow” - small increments of hormone dosages that gradually increased until trigger. Because I had so many follicles, some grew much quicker than others so he adjusted the dosages so the larger ones basically stopped growing and the smaller ones continued to grow. I then had a successful retrieval.
How was your experience with Mark Bush at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
Dr. Bush is excellent at what he does - helping families grow. He is confident and makes you as a patient feel confident. We put all our trust into him and without him we would not have our beautiful 6 week old baby girl. I will continue to refer him to my friends who struggle trying to conceive.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Mark Bush at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Mark Bush at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
While Dr. Bush is excellent at what he does and provides positive results, his bedside manner is not exactly genuine - making you feel a little more like a number. However, the nurses make up for the lack of bedside manner and therefore wouldn’t have it any other way. I appreciate that he is blunt and does not sugar coat things, he gave us our beautiful baby girl.

Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates.
I rarely had to wait. I typically tried to get there early, but it was never overwhelming.
Describe Mark Bush's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates.
Due to my age and health, he recommended a single transfer. He only recommends a multiple embryo transfer (2 max) dependent on age group and diagnoses.

Dr. Bush is meticulous. He was direct and honest, which was sometimes hard at the moment but always appreciated later. ... I had absolute faith in his skills and abilities. And though his communication was blunt and direct, I always felt he cared about me as a patient and was rooting for me. ... While there was no doubt Dr. Bush was trying to sell his services, I never felt like that was his priority.
Strengths - meticulous and extremely knowledgeable doctor and nursing staff. Even the office staff [CRA] was easy to work with. I was honestly sad to “graduate “ and move to my OBGYN. Weakness - Procedures have to be done at the Littleton office which is a lot of travel for people in our part of town. ... The nurse I had for the retrieval portion was incredible. She never gave up on me and my extremely late blooming embryos

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Mark Bush at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
Just because he may not come across as “warm”, trust that he cares and will do everything possible to help you reach your dreams.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Mark Bush at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
Dr. Bush always made me feel like he was invested in helping us conceive. He was patient and willing to go at my slow speed and stayed with me during several delays due to personal reservations. While there was no doubt Dr. Bush was trying to sell his services, I never felt like that was his priority.

I only saw Dr. Bush about 3 times throughout the entire course of events, but he always acted like he cared. I could tell that he had the routines down to a science, which, as a scientist/data analyst myself I truly appreciated. His support staff was very caring and did a good job of managing treatments....Don't expect to be face to face with Dr. Bush at every visit, but don't worry - he is engaged in the process and has everything under control.

Excellent communication and clear guidance through the entire process....Strengths - compassion, knowledge, organization Weakness - location - please open one on the west side of town (Golden/Lakewood)
How was your experience with Mark Bush at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
We recently moved to Denver from Texas, and knew that we wanted another child. My experience with Conceptions and Dr. Bush far exceeded what I went through in Texas for fertility treatments. Dr. Bush and his staff truly listened to me and my history, and they were able to guide me through a successful egg retrieval procedure and embryo transfer, each in one round. I began this journey about 6 months ago, and now I'm 12 weeks along and expecting a little boy in October! Our family couldn't be happier with the experience. Thank you for making it as smooth as possible! We really enjoyed our experience with everyone we encountered at Conceptions!

All of the nurses at Conceptions are amazing. The care and compassion were so genuine and I feel like I formed special relationships with them.
Describe your experience with RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates.
They are very well organized and manage a lot of patients and moving parts very skillfully. There were times during the RMA acquisition that communication felt challenging but it was short lived. As a new patient, I would recommend that anyone speak up and advocate for what they want and to not lose sight of that.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Robert Greene at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates.
Costs are the hardest part about IVF no question about that. Nothing was covered under insurance which made it more stressful but we got through it

[Dr. Mark Bush is] Very intelligent and blunt which we appreciate. Felt very safe in his hands. He can talk and sometimes lose you with medical terms but he is good at explaining whatever you may not understand. Would reccomend him to everyone.... First round if ivf was super expensive and close to $18,000 and the 2nd round was closer to $8000 after everything including meds and acupuncture

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
Dr. Grob was very pleasant, shared her direct email with me prior to my egg retrieval, and did our regroup when I had no embryos to transfer so that we could talk about next steps. She is systematic, empathic, and relies on facts and stats, which both my parter and I appreciate...You only see [her] once or twice, and may not see her for all of your procedures (based on availability)...[she] sent us an email when all of our embryos were found to be abnormal, sending condolences.
Strengths [of Conceptions Reproductive Associates]: very efficient appointments—especially ultrasound monitoring and blood draws. They have a system and have it DOWN. I was never seen after my appointment time. Weaknesses: communication, especially with the donor team. They are apparently a small team, but there are a lot of balls dropped at the expense of the patient. I have been pretty disappointed and have felt like they just delay every single step despite my efforts to expedite things.

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Natalia Grob at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
Dr. Grob sent us an email when all of our embryos were found to be abnormal, sending condolences. This was the first time a reproductive endocrinologist showed care and expressed a loss that felt very real to us.
Describe the protocols Natalia Grob used in your cycles at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates and their degree of success.
My retrieval protocol with Dr. Grob was very similar to my previous retrieval protocol at another clinic. She added Omnitrope, which my previous clinic had not (until transfer time), citing that this would hopefully help with egg quality given my advanced age. We did get one more egg than my previous cycle, and my embryos were initially rated as higher-quality than at my previous clinic—however, the CCS outcome was that all of our embryos were abnormal, and they were because of my poor egg quality.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates.
There are nurses assigned to different parts of the IVF cycle—retrieval nurse and then transfer nurse. I have yet to have a transfer, but did end up getting shifted to the donor team nursing staff, which has been a more difficult team to work with. My ratings are for the IVF nurses, who, generally, have been compassionate and kind. There was a switch in staff during my cycle, which initially concerned me; however, I did end up really liking my nurse and her very positive approach.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Natalia Grob at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates.
$17K+ for retrieval and genetic testing of own embryos. This cost would normally include uterine testing and a FET, but we had to move to donor eggs, so we have just been paying lots of money with nothing to show for it.
Describe Natalia Grob's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates.
No.
What specific things went wrong at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
  • Failed to call in prescriptions to pharmacy

Describe the specific things that went wrong at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates.
Most of the mistakes have been with the donor team, so most individuals going to Conceptions will likely not experience these setbacks. However, there have been incorrect paperwork shared, miscommunication (results not shared in a timely manner), and delays in coordinating with an egg bank.

Dr. Grindler was very friendly, she was warm, affirming and made it clear that she was here to assist in whatever decision we chose to make...I only saw [her] once, there’s a recap appointment that was set after testing was done to go over results. After that I did not see/hear from her again. I only worked with the nursing staff or ultrasound technicians during my fertility journey
This was my first attempt at fertility treatments and [our Conceptions Reproductive Associates nurse] was patient with my anxiety and constant messaging for questions...I selected the Skyridge location but frequently had to go to another location for all my testing and the actual IUI. I wish they had made that clear in the beginning...They want payment at time of visit and sometimes it’s hundreds of dollars at a time, they kept telling me that my insurance didn’t cover anything and I had to push back so many times to explain that they would cover all the testing

Describe the protocols Natalia Grob used in your cycles at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates and their degree of success.
She was positive that I would be able to conceive without medication, which was very reassuring. I was told to report my next period and they would go from there. It was going to be a pretty straightforward approach and I was excited to get started after our meeting
Describe your experience with your nurse at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates. (Assigned nurse: Melissa Vrban)
Melissa was AMAZING! I cannot say enough about her. This was my first attempt at fertility treatments and she was patient with my anxiety and constant messaging for questions. She definitely helped make the process enjoyable and not so stressful
Describe your experience with RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates.
Conceptions is a good facility, they helped my wife and I achieve our goal of reproduction, we got pregnant on the first try with minimal medical intervention and the medical staff couldn’t be better. I selected the Skyridge location but frequently had to go to another location for all my testing and the actual IUI. I wish they had made that clear in the beginning. The Skyridge office seems to only be useful for administrative visits. The receptionist at Skyridge was amazing, I looked forward to my visits in that office because she was always so nice. The Highlands Ranch receptionists were often short and rude with me and I didn’t like going there but had to do all my testing there. Billing was a nightmare. I had a very thorough understanding of my health insurance and what was/was not covered. Yet I’ve had to constantly debate with the receptionist about having my visits submitted to insurance. They want payment at time of visit and sometimes it’s hundreds of dollars at a time, they kept telling me that my insurance didn’t cover anything and I had to push back so many times to explain that they would cover all the testing. It took 6 months to get them to have the ultrasounds I got right before my IUI submitted to insurance for payment, and that was only after my insurance company called them directly to request that they submit the charges. Once that was done I received a final notice invoice and my account was sent to collections. I suggest anyone going through this process have a detailed discussion with their insurance carrier so that they know for sure what their coverages are, because it felt like they were only after money and didn’t want to be bothered with insurance or didn’t want to take the contractural discount. They’ll offer a discount for paying in full at the time of the appointment (even if you have a deductible that you haven’t met, urge them to submit to insurance, you still get the discount if they are in network), and at one time they finally got it updated to submit to insurance but then switched it back to self pay primary and wouldn’t change it back.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Natalia Grob at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates.
They give you a handout pretty early on with a cost breakdown which was awesome. I knew what to expect right away. All of the testing was about $1100, I had to have a lot of ultrasounds which were covered by my insurance thankfully, and the IUI was about $250 which I paid cash the day of the procedure

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
Dr. Mark Bush is very welcoming. He is straight forward, but with good bed side manors...We started out by trying IUI’s. When those didn’t work we moved to IVF...Since I only have 1 good embryo he suggested I do an ERA biopsy to give us the best chance...Through our journey he has informed us of each step...That is currently where we are at in our journey as covid-19, has pushed everything back a little.
offices of [Conceptions Reproductive Associates] I have been to are very clean and the staff is organized...IVF was about 15,000, egg retrieval medication was about 5,000, genetic testing was 1,500, ERA biopsy was about 1,600...nurses have been great and very organized through this whole process...You feel like a priority.
How was your experience with Mark Bush at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
Dr. Bush is very welcoming. He is straight forward, but with good bed side manors. I feel like Dr. Bush truly cares about my husband and I and wants to see us have a baby. Through our journey he has informed us of each step, and when the IUI’s did work he went over why and we looked at our next option.

Trust in the process, Dr. Bush would not steer you in the wrong direction

Describe the protocols Mark Bush used in your cycles at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates and their degree of success.
We started out by trying IUI’s. When those didn’t work we moved to IVF. On top of the normal protocol I did have to have my uterus scraped as I had polyps. Since I only have 1 good embryo Dr. Bush suggested I do an ERA biopsy to give us the best chance. That is currently where we are at in our journey as covid-19, has pushed everything back a little.
Describe your experience with your nurse at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates. (Assigned nurse: Erika and Ali)
I have been lucky to have the best Nurses! Erika was with me after egg retrieval through my surgery and then I was transferred to Ali for FET. Erika kept an eye out for medications That were donated to try and lower my cost. Ali has been great and very organized through this whole process
Describe your experience with RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates.

For the most part Dr. Bush transfers one. As he states twins/multiples are hard to carry.

I appreciated that he [Dr. Mark Bush] told us the likelihood of getting pregnant and how he could help...Our conversations with him were very quick but again it didn’t really matter because we were always taken care of very diligently by his nurses and staff and could ask them any question. We knew Dr Bush was very busy and couldn’t sit and chat for hours and that was fine. He just needed to be there for the transfer and consultations and that was good with us.
I think any new patient would love to work with this clinic [Conceptions Reproductive Associates]. I would definitely recommend them to a friend. Even though my transfer was unsuccessful I know the nursing staff , Dr, embryologist, etc did everything they could to make it successful...I loved everyone that I worked with and thought they were very compassionate and understood the anxieties and hardships that come with fertility struggles

He doesn’t have the best bed Side manner but that didn’t really matter to us because we know that he knows what he’s doing and gets the job done. To not be discouraged by his lack of bed side manner. He isn’t meaning to be rude or dismissive.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Mark Bush at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
I felt like he was to he point and gave us the facts. I appreciated that he told us the likelihood of getting pregnant and how he could help.
Describe the protocols Mark Bush used in your cycles at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates and their degree of success.
Uterine testing, blood work, and mock transfer before moving forward with a FET cycle. Once all that was clear and good to go I got on birth control. When my period started and we were ready for the actual transfer part I got on several medications such as Lupron, estrogen patches, estrogen pills, estrogen suppositories, progesterone in oil , HCG injection , baby aspirin, vitamin D, prenatal. I’m probably forgetting a couple but there were a lot to remember.

We did an embryo adoption so there were a few thousand dollars for lawyer fees and genetic parents blood work. Then a couple more thousand for uterine testing, mock transfer, and blood work. Medication was about $1,800 and the actual transfer was $5,610

After two failed cycles where I had 25% of my eggs mature on both cycles at retrieval, I never had any embryos make it to freeze...Dr. Greene told me that at 38 with secondary infertility my eggs were “dysmature” and suggested donor eggs. We were devastated...asked for a three day transfer. Dr. Green said no and told me that if my embryos wouldn’t make it in the lab, they would not make it in my uterus. My next clinic made blastocysts but then actually suggested freezing at day three for my final cycle. I’m currently pregnant with a day three embryo.
We spent $20k+ for the first retrieval and about $10k on the second retrieval plus $20k total on meds [at Conceptions Reproductive Associates]...advertises frozen embryo transfer success rates. This implies that you actually get an embryo from retrieval for transfer and is not indicative of per cycle success rates. I wish I had understood this when I was selecting my clinic. I would have skipped conceptions had I understood that point. For women like me with diminished ovarian reserve, embryos are hard to come by so their success rate assumes that you have made a quality embryo to transfer which never happened for me in their lab.
How was your experience with Robert Greene at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
If you were young and have a very straightforward case, then he might be able to help you. If yours is more complicated like mine was, go to CCRM or a mini IVF clinic. After two failed cycles where I had 25% of my eggs mature on both cycles at retrieval, I never had any embryos make it to freeze.Dr. Greene told me that at 38 with secondary infertility my eggs were “dysmature” and suggested donor eggs. We were devastated. A friend suggested CCRM. At 39, a year later, CCRM managed to get 100% of my eggs mature at retrieval by letting me follicles go larger than what Dr. Greene considers ideal and changing my protocol. We had success on our first transfer with CCRM and have three more embryos in the freezer.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Robert Greene at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
Realize he has a cookie cutter approach. If you don’t fit it, they will blame your eggs. If you are a complex case or need to go outside the box, go elsewhere. We have trouble making blastocyst, and asked for a three day transfer. Dr. Green said no and told me that if my embryos wouldn’t make it in the lab, they would not make it in my uterus. My next clinic made blastocysts but then actually suggested freezing at day three for my final cycle. I’m currently pregnant with a day three embryo.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Robert Greene at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
Dr. Greene is very personable.
Describe the protocols Robert Greene used in your cycles at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates and their degree of success.
We did antagonist twice. If he had let me stim a day longer each time, we would have had more than 3 mature eggs between 2 cycles. At CCRM I had 19 mature eggs from 3 cycles. And I was a year older. Switching to microdose lupron flare at my next clinic was key for my body to produce lots of mature eggs.
Describe your experience with your nurse at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates. (Assigned nurse: Lindsay )
Lindsay is wonderful. She is like a good friend.

Dr.Bush suggested doing a standard protocol with injectables, however, when his nurse was out of town and no one returned my call, Dr.Bush attempted to rush my treatment by just starting just to start. To be quite honest, I can not tell you what his rationale is/was because his nurse handles everything and appears to be making decisions on dosage and such. The results were failed cycle because no one was really handling my care.
Nurse Erika [at Conceptions Reproductive Associates- Castle Rock] wa just all over the place and disorganized in general. She would leave for vacation, fail to put in orders, fail to put in prescriptions and fail to make appointments. What really frustrates me most was that it felt as if Erika was handling me care, for instance, I asked her about the high dosage of medication, her response, just add a little more, we’ll figure it out, were “very casual here”.
How was your experience with Mark Bush at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
Dr. Bush put me in the mindset of a pit boss at the casino. With that, I mean that he was thee to make sure you were going to spend/lose your money with him and only him! During my one and only consultation, all he spoke about was money and other clinics, he really did not discuss with me how his clinic was better and/or how he was going to help get us pregnant. Which is all we care about. We do t care about his feelings toward other clinics and why we should not use other clinics, but tell me why you’re clinic is the best choice. Additionally, Dr.Bush misled me with stats where he boasted that his clinic was the best, after things didn’t make sense, I looked on SART only to realize that his clinic was not even listed on SART, so how can he state that his clinic has best stats in Colorado if he is not a member of SART? Just very disappointed with him and his practice.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Mark Bush at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
If I were going to advise a prospective patient, I would tell them to find a clinic that is SART certified. I would let them know that Dr. Bush will not meet with you because he is too busy, he is too busy to do a regroup, his one nurse sometimes takes days to get a response from him and more importantly that Dr.Bush will not adjust any treatment, he pretty much will just keep going and hope it turns out good which makes for ineffective treatment.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Mark Bush at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
I only met with Dr.Bush once, during consultation. After that, all of the care or lack there of was managed by his nurse, who was always out of office, always on vacation and had no idea of who I was or what was going on at all with me, just another paycheck, no real service. Just passed around and along

Clinics strengths are that they do accept military insurance for workups. Additionally, they offer military discount which is great for disabled veteran like myself. Clinics main weakness is that they are soo wrapped up in trying to compete with Ccrm that they lose the real focus of why they are her, to get us pregnant. It is disappointing to be at a clinic whom always makes mention to another clinic, it makes the treatment inefficient, they lose out on the focus of making sure that the patient is taken care of and it is for that reason that I decided to leave conceptions and am now at Ccrm.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Mark Bush at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates.
I don’t recall. He did accept military insurance and did offer military discount for service.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates.
As I have stated before. I was assigned to nurse Erika, whom was off a lot, vacationed a lot and just in general very substandard approach to treatment and getting things done. She dropped the ball numerousbtomes and then would just try to go along to keep it going withoutbtaken into account my overall health and my body. I felt as if I was getting my care from her versus the actual doctor and that is a serious problem for me.

If you are looking for hand holding throughout the process, Dr. Bush might not be for you, but he certainly will do everything he can to get you pregnant...He might not be as forthcoming with your treatment but will answers questions that you have so be prepared when you meet with him...Even though we only met with Dr. Bush in the initial meeting to plan the frozen transfer and the transfer itself, I knew he was managing care behind the scenes and trusted the decisions he was making.
The benefits of a larger practice [Conceptions Reproductive Associates] are that there are a lot of resources and you get results back incredibly quickly. Challenges are that you don't see the doctor too much and it can at times feel like you are one of many. For me that wasn't an issue since I just wanted to get pregnant and they did that twice for me successfully, but if you are looking for very personalized care and hand holding, you might not get that with a larger practice and should look to a smaller practice.
How was your experience with Mark Bush at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
Dr. Bush is extremely knowledgeable and even though he isn't the warmest personality, he knows what he is doing and is committed to the best course of treatment for a successful outcome. Our previous doctor at Conceptions left to start a practice in another location and he had done a fresh transfer that resulted in our son. It wasn't even a tough decision on who would take over treatment for our frozen transfer for baby number 2 as we knew Dr. Bush was the best and would get us pregnant. Even though we only met with Dr. Bush in the initial meeting to plan the frozen transfer and the transfer itself, I knew he was managing care behind the scenes and trusted the decisions he was making. Describe your experience with your nurse at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates. (Assigned nurse: Jessica)
Hands down, the best part about our experience was Jessica and the nursing staff. Infertility/IVF was one of the scariest/nerve wracking experiences and Jessica was an angel. She always responded to my emails within a few hours and even some within a few mins and would call me anytime I needed to talk. She explained the treatment and didn't hesitate to give me good/bad/ugly with what it was and was honest in her answers. Additionally, you can tell that she is very knowledgeable herself and knows exactly what to do! I genuinely believe she is the absolute best in what she does.

Dr. Bush felt strongly that we only transfer one single embryo which was absolutely the best medical course of action and in the best interest of myself and a pregnancy.

We went with an antagonist protocol as he [Dr. Mark Bush] has seen s lot of success for DOR women. I primed with birth control for about two weeks, while also taking dhea, co q 10 and the vitamin cocktail. I started with 2 vials of menopur, .7cc of omnitrope and 225iu of follistim. Dr bush kept an eye on how I was responding and made adjustments as needed. Towards the end of my cycle I was up to 5 vials of menopur, 375 follistim and .7cc of omnitrope. His rationale for upping my meds each time was to keep increasing my estrogen level and to also grow my follicles last 16cm.
Omg my nurse [at Conceptions Reproductive Associates] was outstanding!! I mean absolutely phenomenal! She always returned emails within a timely manner and I'm talking like 2 hours give or take. She called me immediately with results and was very genuine through this entire process. She also helped us get medicine when I ran out due to having to extend our cycle a day longer. She was a blessing and I am forever thankful for her. Also, the staff was always courteous and helpful! One time I had to call the on call nurse and I received a call back within 5 minutes with a response. My phlebotomist was amazing as well! I can't say enough great things about my experien
How was your experience with Mark Bush at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
Dr Bush knew we had been under Schoolcraft prior to seeing him. He saw no reason that I should only be given a donor egg route. He was willing to fight for us and with us. He made the correct adjustments every time they were needed. He was very genuine and thorough. We knew exactly what we were getting into. He wasn't nearly as cocky as Schoolcraft and I knew it was a great fit from the beginning. Also, his stats speak for themselves. I never felt like just a number and he was always available if I needed him.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Mark Bush at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
The mans brilliant! Trust what he has to say. He really looks out for the best of his patients and will fight for it just as much as you do!
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Mark Bush at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
Where do I start? My clinic has been amazing! Dr Bush was willing to let us continue even if I did not meet the minimum standard of follicles which is 4 for his office. He wanted us to have success, just as much as we did! My nurse went above and beyond, even helping us with medication!!

I had an Antral follicle count of 7 and once retrieval day came I had 6 eggs and 5 of them fertilized using icsi and then we received the day 5 call. I should add, my clinic will not allow day 7's or grade c embryos as they feel these are not the best quality. Day 5 we had 3 that were in the running with one making it is a 5bb and then waiting for day 6 results. Day 6 came in and we had another 5bb while the others did not make it. They were then sent off for pgd testing, where both came back abnormal. I was told my cycle was great in comparison to my numbers and now it's a numbers game to get a normal.

Strengths, you're not just a number here! Their numbers are outstanding and they take an approach like none other. They actually fight for you and not against you. I honestly can't say I would change anything! In comparison to my experience at ccrm where I was there for two months, this experience was a night and day one. Ccrm I usually waited for hours for a response and they were not willing to work with me, even give us a shot!
Describe the costs associated with your care under Mark Bush at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates.
$26000 was our first cycle which included almost everything from egg retrieval to transfer and all monitoring appointments. We had to pay an oocyte fee and anesthesia is all that was extra. I have the paperwork and can send it to you as well!
Describe Mark Bush's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates.
We unfortunately did. It make it to transfer because our embryos came back abnormal. We had discussed embryo transfer and he is known as an one embryo man. He would had transferred two if we pushed hard for it.

[Protocols with Dr. Althea O'Shaughnessy included] IUIs with letrozole...met with Dr. O'Shaughnessy once, and had pretty much zero interaction with her about my actual case...There was an unexpected obstacle to an impending IUI. This was our first effort at treatment, so we were understandably worried about the problem. Given the remainder of our fertility efforts so far, I would no longer be super concerned about that outcome; however, Dr. O'Shaughnessy didn't help us understand the lack of need for concern. The most unpleasant part of the interaction was that we kept asking about a potential solution, and she was extremely dismissive while also misunderstanding what we were suggesting. Combined with the lack of consistent care, it gave the impression that no one in the clinic was actually following our case carefully.
Generally speaking I had mediocre communication experiences with Conceptions. It was often difficult to reach someone, and I had to be pretty on top of it to make sure initial ultrasounds for IUIs were scheduled early enough. Part of the issue is that it's a big practice (another part is the horrendous customer service standard in fertility as a whole but I digress). I worked with a lot of different nurses, and that lack of consistency was often frustrating because I would need to explain things repeatedly.

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Althea O'Shaughnessy at RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates?
I saw different practitioners for pretty much every meeting: the first NP who did my intake left the practice before I could begin treatment, I saw another NP for a regroup, met with Dr. O'Shaughnessy once, and had pretty much zero interaction with her about my actual case.

Describe your experience with RMA of Colorado - Conceptions Reproductive Associates.
It's a big clinic with a lot of doctors and locations. That can be good and bad. The Rose location was honestly a nightmare in terms of customer service: the front desk folks were overtly hostile and rude, lost STI test results and made us redo them (they were like, yeah, we lose faxes all the time), made obvious billing errors. The Littleton main office was much better: friendly staff, no lost test results, correct billing. Overall Conceptions is pretty heteronormative and I often found that exhausting. However, andrology is mostly great. Dealing with the lab there was the best aspect of Conceptions.
