I don't have a negative comment. Dr Thomas makes an anxiety-prone process as simple and comforting as possible. She treats you like a long time friend and always had a plan ready.

Fertility treatment in general is a process that takes commitment and pateince.

She is a patient and warm hearted person. She understands my pain. She has never treated me as another patient. She always has positivity filled with her. Everytime I am down she pulls me up and says come on we can do it.

Be open to her. Abt ur medical, physical and financial needs. She will find a way to guide u.

I did 3 clomid cycles, 3iui, 3hormone injection,1 ivf and several cycles naturally. Everything was a negative, except one which was a miracle. For me my medication always works as the doctor expects, it always does not mess up. But I dont get a positive. I have never got a reason as why. Everytime i hear is with pcos that's how it will be. So I really dont know wat my problem is.. other than pcos.

The cost is a bit more u think. But very understanding in payment. They also have a payment plan.

We had several embryos but only 2 made for the 3rd day. So doctor suggested two is like giving out best choice. Plus I trust her so I also felt it was the right thing to do.

Dr. Karen Lee is an Angel!!! She was very sweet, easy to understand, and answered any question we had. I look forward to seeing and working with her again in the future. She is the reason I have my beautiful daughter.

That she is a fantastic doctor. She is thorough, sensitive, and genuinely wants to make you dreams of becoming a parent come true.

I can't remember all of the names of the medications. She answered any questions we had. Her nurse was fantastic. She actually answers her phone and talks to you. We were from out of state. They worked with us. Just fantastic service. After one round of IVF, we were pregnant with our little girl.

I was lucky at the time. My insurance covered 70/30 at the clinic. Unfortunately, the lab was ot in network with my insurance. Everything was paid out of pocket in the lab. We spent close to 4 or 5 thousand for the whole procedure.

They recommended just transferring one. They knew the risks of having triplets or more. They gave me a 80% chance of the one working and they were right.

She’s a great and compassionate doctor. She sincerely cares for you and your hopes of having children. She will say it like it is but she offers other options too. She is a good listener. She acknowledged my fears and worries and took along time chatting with me.

She does not like the idea of implanting two embryos, but may if you persistent. But she is adamant of not implanting two if the embryos were tested.

They are not as expensive as other specialists but obviously it’s expensive for us because I am now out of a job. They use to take my insurance and they don’t anymore which is awful. But they will give you one price that includes medications.

Dr Thomas didnt seem to just want me to have IVF treatment for the money. She explained to me the different type of procedures that met my needs and just seem to be very caring. I just couldn't afford IVF but if I could she would be the dr I trust to do it. She seem very genuine as well.

Go in with a open mind and you are in good hands.

I just remember she recommended that I try iui or IVF.

My insurance charges Dr. Thomas off as a specialist which is covered. But my insurance will not cover the IVF part. I have pcos but I guess it doesn't matter.

Letrozole and ovulation shot and then IUI

Dr. Lawrence is extremely knowledgable and talkative. She answered my questions thoughtfully and made recommendations based on evidence and research. She did leave the final decisions up to me, such as when I asked if I might need an ERA to check receptivity, or if I needed to add or change my protocol after a failed cycle and a chemical pregnancy. I am appreciative for her guidance and thoughts through this process. I would definitely return to Dr. Lawrence!

Ask for details and explanations as needed. Expect to go in for frequent quick appointments during treatment cycles - most of my visits were before work and during lunch. I only needed to take time off for the egg retrieval and a couple embryo transfers. Also, ask about support groups and counseling referrals as needed - I'm so happy to have found the Resolve support group! I was hoping to connect with others experiencing fertility issues, and I discovered a group of strong women with stories just like me.

I started with 3 IUIs with Femara and an Ovidrel trigger shot. I produced several eggs each time but all cycles were unsuccessful. I prepped for an egg retrieval with Follistim and Menopur for ~9 days before the trigger shot. Ganirelix was introduced after several days in to prevent natural ovulation. For the frozen transfers (I had 2 each transferring 1 embryo, and 1 transferring 2 embryos), I took birth control to suppress my hormones, and when starting a cycle began Estrace 2x per day (increased incrementally from 1x to 3x per day in the 3rd cycle to build a thicker lining), followed by progesterone in oil injections ~5 days prior to transfer. Regular bloodwork and ultrasound monitoring determined when to transfer the embryo(s).

Monitoring and labs were billed to my insurance Each IUI was about ~600 including the procedure, sperm prep, and Rxs Stimulation meds for egg retrieval & transfer meds ~4400 Egg retrieval, IVF, & blastocyst cryopreservation ~7000 Additional Oocyte cryopreservation (I chose to freeze eggs beyond the first 10 retrieved) ~800 Frozen Transfer ~3200 each

Dr. Lawrence strongly recommended 1 embryo at the first transfer. She limited the second transfer to 1 embryo due to my uterine lining not being at an optimal thickness. The third transfer she approved our request to transfer 2 embryos.

We took time off between IUI and IVF and when we came back, she remembered us and many things about the year of IUI that weren’t just written on paper. It made me feel comfortable immediately. There have been times where I’ve gone home to look things up but not for her lack of trying to explain. She’s very sure in what our treatments should be and has built up our trust in her.

Be ready with questions, and ready to take notes!

For our egg retrieval, we set the timing to ensure it would be done by Dr. Lawrence. We did menopur in the morning and follistim at night. We increased the dosage of follistim during the last week because my body had taken to the birth control a little too well. It worked perfectly and she was able to get a great amount of eggs (19). She said we would be doing ICSI right off the bat, as it was our best chance to get embryos due to my husband’s borderline low morphology. She was right and we got 13 embryos. For our FET, I started estrogen 2x/day 2 weeks before and PIO at 9pm 1 week before.

She said we should do eSET, although I did not ask for multiple especially with the first transfer.

For the person reading this review, I imagine you have some understanding of the challenges that may or may not come with trying to have children. Selecting the right fertility doctor is key in helping you start, continue, or complete your family. I think it’s important to have your own idea of what TTC looks like for you prior to interviewing fertility doctors. It’s also important to learn to trust your gut. I’d be remiss if I did not say a doctor who may not be a good fit for me, may possibly be a good fit for you. This is my experience with Dr. Lawrence, so feel free to eat the meat and spit out the bones because my hope your experience will be different than mine. Long story short, after taking several months to decide if I wanted to pursue fertility treatments. Upon the recommendation of a colleague, I decided to meet with Dr. Lawrence to obtain her opinion of what my options looked like. Though I was pretty confident on the fertility doctor I wanted to move forward with, I figured I owed it to myself and future children to at least get an additional opinion. The day of my appointment I arrived early. After doing the initial blood pressure and weight check, I was placed in examination room and told to take everything off (including ALL undergarments). I was, however, given a paper robe to put on. I was told the Dr. Lawrence would be in shortly. I waited 45 minutes in the examination room with no one checking in on me or telling me the doctor got behind schedule. So, I waited there cold and basically naked that entire time. At the 45 minute mark, I got dressed went to the staff member up front, advised I was leaving and to refund my co-pay. She expressed an apology for the long wait, the doctor was running behind, but was now ready to see me. I politely said no thank you and left. A few hours later I received a call from Dr. Lawrence expressing her sincere apologies---which I deeply appreciated and believe was warranted. She made sure to express that my time was valuable and continued to express her apologies. She then elected to share her diagnosis of me based on the information she had of me from 7 months ago. Not knowing that my numbers had actually improved and her information is outdated. You see, I wanted a thorough second opinion and did not want her to base the opinions of my situation based on the blood work of another doctor. Moreover, the recent bloodwork she was unaware of would have shown a vast improvement due to my lifestyle changes—but again, she didn’t know this information because instead of asking or taking the time to talk to me, Dr. Lawrence elected to spew a bunch of hopeless statistics of motherhood and reducing my chances as IVF being the only way. I don’t disagree that IVF may be the route I take in an effort to conceive, but I also feel IUI is an option or simply giving me suggestions to better my chances at conceiving either naturally or with the help of IVF. I think it is very important when treating someone in such a sensitive area to speak words full of life and hope. Bedside manner starts before coming in contact with the patient and post examination—the overall experience in my opinion. Fortunately I took my ear away from the phone when she recited her discouraging facts of how low my chances at motherhood would be. My overall issue is Dr. Lawrence’s timing and taking away the sincerity of her apology when she turned it into a lecture on a bleak future of motherhood. Bad timing, Dr. Lawrence and simply an unnecessary addition to your apology. Fortunately I am in a good space mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Despite her discouraging treatment and words, I sincerely believe that I will have children with the help of God, my husband, positive thinking, continual lifestyle changes, and my fertility doctor. I’ll be sure to post a picture of my bouncing baby when I do. It’s important to have a physician who will speak life and encourage you throughout this journey—despite the potential outcomes. To end, I wish the very best to every person looking for ways to start their family.

I would encourage you to educate yourself and have as much of an understanding of your fertility issues as you can. Be mindful that you will have to advocate for yourself during this journey, but probably more so with this physician. Trust your instincts and go with the doctor you believe is designed just for you. There will be challenges, but who you pick as your doctor is important to your journey.

I did not reach this stage with Dr. Lawrence. My initial experience with her was enough for me not to want to move forward with her or her office.

Dr. Lawrence was very nice and she seems incredibly intelligent! I do feel that she was not very aggressive even after 3 failed IUI attempts. I never saw any doctor for any of my sonograms, it was always only the nurse or the sono tech. Ultimately, I felt Dr. Lawrence was not able to determine the best route to get me pregnant, so I switched clinics.

Ask her to slow down and allow you to write everything down. Dr. Lawrence will give you a typed up sheet of what you discussed so you don't have to take notes however, I often left forgetting many things she said that were not on the sheet.

IUI cycle one- natural cycle with trigger only. IUI cycle 2 letrozole and trigger. IUI cycle 3 letrozole and trigger. All 3 unsuccessful. I felt that I was ovulating too soon and the IUI was too late, I did verbalize these concerns.

Each IUI was about $350, not including medications or sonograms. My sonos were covered by insurance so total was about $500 per IUI cycle.

Dr. Lawrence is a top notch doctor. She is well credentialed, she is respected by her peers (I was referred by my OB), and she is up-to-date on current issues in the field. She is an open book, I never felt as though she wasn't telling me the whole truth or steering me in a direction that was good for me. She always explains things to the absolute detail (as does her staff --- they are always available 24/7). The negative is that she talks A LOT. I don't see that as a negative but if you have to say one thing, that would be it. She will pow-wow with you on a decision, a direction, a treatment schedule and requires that you give your opinion and blessing to move forward. She wants to have pregnancies but she always obviously wants the patient to be okay through the process. She was open with me about my timelines (my declining fertility due to age) and the plan to best position myself (and my family) for a good outcome.

Go in prepared. Do your research and ask her any and all questions. She will answer ALL OF THEM. I found her to be caring, intelligent, friendly and hard working. She was always knowledgeable about my case despite seeing a lot of patients.

I was approaching 40 and have low egg quality. She wanted to do back to back retrievals to give me the best chance at PGS tested positive embryos before transfer. I few times I had to cancel or change treatments. I ended doing several mini-cycles as I responded to these protocols better. I probably did 5 retrievals last year. She was with me every step and deciding whether we would make it to retrieval based on egg count and size. I would typically start with about 11-15 follicles and get 1-3 eggs each time. The last retrieval I got none.

I was extremely lucky and my insurance through work paid for a majority of my IVF costs.

She is very adamant about eSET unless your case calls for a different approach. I am comfortable with that and confident should I need something else, we would discuss it as a group and make the next right decision together.

She talks very fast and it’s not always clear what she’s talking about. She can use a lot of medicinal terms and then try and explain all of them which can get confusing. I trust her knowledge and capabilities.

Ask her to repeat herself if needed or slow down when talking. Also I found it helpful to also consult with the nurses.

I am currently in the middle of my first IVF cycle. Using cloned, Omni trope, follistim, Ganirelix, and Ovidrel. Using low doses of each given my age, low AMH (.95), and high FSH (13).

Luckily our insurance covers most of our cost. But the IVF lab isn’t under contract so we had to pay $5300 for those costs. Additional $400 for doctor fees and $2000 for PGTA testing. Meds were about $1000

We both agreed on single transfer which we are very happy about.

Going through this process despite numerous dr.google searches, there is still way too much information to digest at once. We immediately told her IVF was not of interest to us and she respected it 100% no "can I ask why" guilty nonsense. She respected our decision and said let's make sure the iui works perfectly! That made both my husband and me a lot more comfortable and at ease.

Don't be afraid to ask questions. She can go through everything a little too quickly but has no problem going back and repeating herself or going into more detail.

I have unexplained infertility. I have a great egg reserve and my husband's sperm is good. We did 50mg clomid for 5 days and then used ovidrel to release my eggs, which I had plenty of that were large in size. We then did our iui with a good semen sample. Now I'm waiting to see if it worked!

All said and done for my iui, I'll be sitting around $1,000.

Laura took the time to fully explain what was wrong with my uterus. She also helped us understand the percentage of Iui vs ivf would work for us. We never felt pushed one way or the other. Laura was very thorough in my diagnoses and did not leave anything up to wonder about. She was very open about the cost and she even helped make a rough schedule of IVF for us so we could understand what to plan for.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Don’t be afraid to ask her to repeat something and don’t be afraid to tell her you are confused or don’t understand what she’s talking about.

At this time I am still in the process of ivf and cannot answer this question accurately.

Dr. Lawrence was to the point and didn’t waste anytime. She got us started with testing on our very first appointment. She was easy to talk to, willing to answer every question, and was reassuring the whole time. I felt so comfortable and at ease with her. Can’t wait to continue with treatment!

Go to her!! Don’t waste time anywhere else.

Dr. Lawrence is very knowledgeable and went out of her way to make sure i understood every detail of the treatment. I always felt like I was the only patient she had that day. She never made me feel rushed.

Be honest with her. She is very open to listening and accommodating to your needs.

First cycle we used max drugs because of my low ovarian reserve. I only produced 2 eggs that round. The next 2 cycles we used less drugs. It was more successful. We added ICSI to help with the fragmenting.

the drugs varied depending on the protocol anywhere between $2000-$5500. Doctor fee was about $2500 and lab fee was about $3500.

She said she would transfer no more than two considering my age.

She is amazing. She was understanding and compassionate. I never felt like I was just a number. She has incredible bedside manners!

You will not go wrong! Be ready with questions so will answer every one!

I honestly can not remember, I do know she was cautiously aggressive with my treatment.

Everything was told to us upfront. There wasn't any hidden fees or last minute charges. The only thing we didn't know off hand was the cost of the medications because they varied.

I was grateful and always felt confident in her abilities. We had a different doctor in the practice so one retrieval and her faith in him helped me still feel confident if she could not be there. I appreciated her.

Ask every question you have! And take notes. She talks fast

On accident, we ended up “priming” my ovaries before my retrieval. We ended up with a LOT of eggs. Everything else seemed pretty standard.

With all additional testing we chose, it ended up being about $20k with meds.

It was not advised to do multiple embryos because we did PGS testing. The risks were explained and they would discuss it further if we wanted to. We did not

Dr. Lawrence has been great. She has had to deliver some unpleasant news to us, but did so compassionately. She gave us a heads up that IVF is likely in our future, but did not pressure us to make that decision and was willing to try however many IUIs we wanted prior to making that jump.

Keep a list of questions. She is a talker, which I like, but make sure you have yours ready so you don’t get lost in conversation and forget them.

My husband had very low count and I appeared to be ovulating, but there was a question on my egg quality. Dr. Lawrence was very upfront with us that IUI may not work because Clomid would not fix my short follicular phase, but she let us try it anyway. I was on 100mg of Clomid on CD 3-7. I went in for monitoring on CD 9 and 10 and had two follicles that were ready to go so I triggered the evening of CD 10 for a CD 12 IUI. On IUI days, my husband's number were less than half of what they had been on previously so our hopes were not high. Luckily, we got a positive pregnancy test 14 days post IUI!

My insurance has covered all of the diagnosis testing, but iui and IVF are out of pocket. The prepaid iui is only $1000.

Dr. Gada was direct but showed compassion. He explained to us our situation and what are options were. Again, he is very direct but it helps you understand the situation without having to go through fluff. You can tell he cares a lot about his patients and that he is very knowledgeable.

Understand that Dr. Gada gives unpleasant diagnosis to patients every day. His directness may seem somewhat harsh but he will do whatever he can for his patients.

He was very personable and warm as a doctor. Was very informative and open to any questions or concerns. No appointment felt rushed. All my questions were answered. I felt like all my needs and wants were met with each appointment. During the initial consultation he made both me and my husband very comfortable talking about a difficult subject to be able to open up with. He took time to sit and converse about all options and monetary needs for each plan of action. For all procedures performed he made me feel comfortable and at ease and explained each step of the procedure as it was performed. Not once did I feel uncomfortable or rushed during the appointments. On the day of the egg retrieval he came and checked on both my husband and I and made sure we were ok.

Dr. Gada had the unfortunate task of being the first doctor we saw and delivering the awful news about our prognosis for pregnancy without major medical assistance. He was compassionate, but brutally honest and I appreciated that and still do. He gave us a clear picture of what we were facing. However, as we went through multiple transfers without success, he refused to adjust the protocol or try different procedures or medicines.

You will need to be your own advocate.

For our FETs, we used oral estrogen (2X/day), POI injections. After our miscarriage, he added a regimen of baby aspirin and vaginal estrogen to the protocol.

There were multiple snafus with our insurance filings and we went back and forth so much that I cannot completely recall. I do recall that an FET cycle runs about $1800 in lab fees - we paid that in cash so that sticks in my brain.

Given my advanced maternal age, he would only transfer one embryo, which I understood and appreciated.
