Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

Dr Skora was very empathetic to our journey and was always available to answer any questions...explained everything in detail before we started...had 2 failed FETs and he explained what testing he recommended and why...never had to wait long to schedule a zoom follow up...used his recommendations and had success with our 3rd FET
I loved the Dallas office [of Fertility Specialists of Texas]...staff was always very friendly and the receptionist always knew me by name...was so sad at our failures and so excited at our success...nurses were also amazing and always seemed happy to explain anything I asked...policy to only transfer 1 under 40
How was your experience with Daniel Skora at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Dr Skora explained everything in detail before we started Stims and was always available to answer any questions I had. We had 2 failed FETs and he explained what testing he recommended and why. I never had to wait long to schedule a zoom follow up with him. We used his recommendations and had success with our 3rd FET. He was genuinely excited at our first ultrasound. I will always recommend Dr Skora to anyone!
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Daniel Skora at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Be patient and if you don’t understand something, always ask.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Daniel Skora at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Dr Skora was very empathetic to our journey and was always available to answer any questions. He never gave up on helping us and celebrated when we had success.
Describe the protocols Daniel Skora used in your cycles at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic) and their degree of success.
For Stims I used birth control, Menopur, Gonal F and an HCG trigger for retrieval. I stimmed for 10 days and retrieved 31 eggs. We ended up with 8 frozen embryos and 6 tested normal. For FET I used birth control, Lupron, estrogen pills, PIO, baby aspirin and z pack antibiotics. I always needed an extra week on estrogen due to thin lining and needed both oral and vaginal estrogen. I also had a testing cycle with an ERA, Emma/Alice, and ReceptivaDX tests and surgical Hysteroscopy between 2 and 3rd FETs.
Describe your experience with Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
I loved the Dallas office. The staff was always very friendly and the receptionist always knew me by name. She was so sad at our failures and so excited at our success. She always made small talk. The nurses were also amazing and always seemed happy to explain anything I asked.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
Monitoring appointments were quick but helpful. The nurses always took the time to tell me what they saw and what to expect next.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Daniel Skora at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
I had Progyny insurance so cost was limited to my deductible and out of pocket max.
Describe Daniel Skora's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
It’s policy to only transfer 1 under 40 but I would never want to transfer more.

Dr Skora's bedside manner is really great. For a doctor that is obviously high volume he spends the time to really get to know his patients. He always has a smile on his face and if you have a question he has an answer for you. He is always willing to have a follow up phone call or telehealth within a week...He respects his patients time and expects that they will respect his. The wait in the waiting room is never more that 15 minutes as a result.
Fertility Specialists of Texas has an eSET policy in place...Great clinic. High volume center so don't expect to be seen for hours...Sometimes hard to get in touch with financials. Accept a wide range of insurances and the lab is in network. All the doctors are highly qualified...Dr Skora's bedside manner is really great. Dr Skora is am amazing physician. He is very efficient. I can see how some can find this to be short. He respects his patients time and expects that they will respect his. The wait in the waiting room is never more that 15 minutes as a result. I have never seen such a well run clinic. He is very to the point but also takes care to answer any questions you may have.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Daniel Skora at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
If you are looking for a doctor to spend hours with you, this isn't the doctor. He cuts to the meat of the issue and has a plan in place. He will review all your records before your visit. He is always prepared. Come with questions and he will answer them.

We did a "normal" IVF cycle with medium dosing meds per Dr Skora. It was an atagonist cycle. With a male factor fertility situation, he felt that this would be best for us. And it was!

Katryce was great. Easy to get in touch with and had answers to my questions.

we had progyny insurance, so cost was low
Describe Daniel Skora's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
Fertility Specialists of Texas has an eSET policy in place. I did want to have twins. Dr Skora himself has twins. But he explained to me that it has to do with insurance policies that limit how many they can do and even now with gestational carriers they have to limit these also.

I was not pleased with Dr. Skora's bedside manner or his ability to fully explain my plan/protocol. He would describe the process and I would ask a question and he would not explain why. This made me lose confidence in his knowledge and judgment because if you can't explain why you are doing things a certain way, then why would I trust you? I am a physician but I wanted him to explain every step to me as if I had no medical background. Unfortunately, he was unable to answer even basic questions...did not have great bedside manner, barely even said "hi" to me when he came in the room to do my ultrasound
I scheduled a new appointment with a different doctor at the [Fertility Specialists of Texas] Frisco location...The day before the appointment they called to inform me that they needed to reschedule my appointment because they were moving offices to a different side of the building. Very incovenient. I am done with FST at this point...Labwork and tests came back quickly. There was not a very long wait in the waiting room. They were very efficient on the days that I was there. The nurses were nice and compassionate. If it were not for the physician, I would recommend this place to other women in my predicament.

I felt that I was definitely treated like a number. Dr. Skora did not have great bedside manner, barely even said "hi" to me when he came in the room to do my ultrasound. He explained what his plan and protocol would be for me but he was unable to answer any of my questions. I asked questions because I wanted understand why we would do one thing over another option. I like to understand what is being done to me and why.
Describe the protocols Daniel Skora used in your cycles at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic) and their degree of success.
I was diagnosed with DOR so the plan was to start me on oral contraceptives prior to starting IVF. I asked him why he would start me on oral contraceptives since I read that it can be counterproductive in patients with DOR. His response was simply, "Oh well we don't have to use oral contraceptives". I did not like this response. I want to have confidence in my doctor, therefore, I expect him to be more decisive, explain his reasoning, and stand soundly on his reasoning. (Not change the plan because a simple question was asked). He had a very dry demeanor with me and was not very affable.

I don't really recall. My experience with the nurses and ancillary staff was very neutral.

Dr. Patel is compassionate and patient. He takes as much time is needed to make me feel like all my questions are answered. He came fully prepared for my initial consultation having read my extensive IVF medical records from a previous clinic...If there is any question about my treatment plan he will schedule my ultrasounds to be with him specifically so he can personally do my scans. He calls me personally for big events to discuss treatment options. He also takes the time to discuss research in the field and which treatments are or are not supported by the research...
[Fertility Specialists of Texas] has multiple locations across Dallas so there is usually one that is fairly close. I go to the Frisco location. The support staff (nurses, MAs, etc) seem more disorganized than what I'm used to at my previous clinic. They do allow you to sign paperwork via zoom with the nurse as a witness which is much more convenient than my previous clinic (which had to be done in person or via a notary)...The nurse is very nice and quick to respond to portal messages...
How was your experience with Satin Patel at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Dr. Patel is compassionate and patient. He takes as much time is needed to make me feel like all my questions are answered. He came fully prepared for my initial consultation having read my extensive IVF medical records from a previous clinic. This is in comparison to another physician at another clinic who had not read anything prior to my consultation. If there is any question about my treatment plan he will schedule my ultrasounds to be with him specifically so he can personally do my scans. He calls me personally for big events to discuss treatment options. He also takes the time to discuss research in the field and which treatments are or are not supported by the research.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Satin Patel at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
If you want to understand why something is being proposed, just ask. He will be happy to explain it. He is also very open to hearing any concerns you have so will make the treatment plan based on a collaborative discussion.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Satin Patel at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Dr. Patel speaks to me with compassion and takes as much time as is needed to answer all my questions. He will call me personally after failed transfers to discuss what may have happened and how to change treatment strategies moving forward. He takes the time to discuss evidence based medicine but is also open to trying things "outside the box". He makes me a big part of my treatment plan.
Describe the protocols Satin Patel used in your cycles at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic) and their degree of success.

Describe your experience with your nurse at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
The nurse is very nice and quick to respond to portal messages. She is, however, somewhat disorganized compared to what I experienced at my previous clinic. I have caught missed medication prescriptions and errors in my portal instructions. When I arrive for ultrasound appointments there is always confusion by the ultrasound nurse as the why I am in there or how far along in my cycle I am. Most of the MAs are good with lab draws, but a few are not. After being bruised a few times, by attempting to draw from smaller more superficial veins, I now direct them to a deeper larger vein every time even if they do not prefer it, as it is 100% successful. Since there are number of different MAs who draw blood, I have to direct them every time as it is often a new person. This is also something different from my previous clinic who had the same phlebotomist from Quest who drew my labs in the fertility clinic every time for 2 years.
Describe your experience with Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
It has multiple locations across Dallas so there is usually one that is fairly close. I go to the Frisco location. Insurance coverage to a limit. So far have spent $4000 for 2 transfers with medications and hysteroscopy.
Describe Satin Patel's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
My first transfer did not go smoothly. The lab did not call me (during business hours) to inform me of my transfer time the next day as I was told would happen. They also did not call me the morning of the transfer to let me know how the thaw went (which is standard for this clinic). I had a prescription that was not ordered, that I luckily discovered quickly. I had misinformation on my portal instructions that I discovered (this may have been a computer glitch though). I have also been told different information by the nurse compared to the doctor in terms of treatment plan. When I tell her what I was told by the doctor she defers to what he told me (this may be poor communication between the two).

I especially appreciate that Dr. Guerami is passionate about educating the patient on what will occur during each of the treatment sessions and providing options, based on the risks..is not a Texan, so don't expect the deep fried Southern hospitality of a Texan. Instead, be open to his style of working and his personality - he truly does care about his patients and wants to be confident that you understand the why before the how...
[The nurse at Fertility Specialists of Texas is] warm, friendly, and patient, and she wants to be sure that you are comfortable with the treatment that she and the doctor are providing. I've never been in the same room with Dr. Guerami and Heidi, but they seem to make a good team!...Many times, the front desk would call and tell me my upcoming payment for upcoming visits, but I have received a few bills after the fact. I'm assuming this is due to insurance settlements.
How was your experience with Ali Guerami at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Dr. Guerami has extensive experience in reproductive endocrinology, and he is very candid in his expectations for treatment and the likelihood that the treatment will be successful. I especially appreciate that Dr. Guerami is passionate about educating the patient on what will occur during each of the treatment sessions and providing options, based on the risks. Dr. Guerami does have an accent, so it may be difficult to fully understand him 100% of the time, but he is patient and will repeat himself to ensure that his patients understand their treatment, the steps for treatment, and the expected outcomes for the treatment.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Ali Guerami at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?

Describe your experience with your nurse at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic). (Assigned nurse: Heidi)

She's warm, friendly, and patient, and she wants to be sure that you are comfortable with the treatment that she and the doctor are providing. I've never been in the same room with Dr. Guerami and Heidi, but they seem to make a good team!
Describe your experience with Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
I enjoy going to Dr. Guerami's clinic on Walnut Hill because it's not as busy at the Frisco clinic. The Frisco clinic has the lab and is where the IUIs and IVFs are performed, but it is almost a machine, just based on how much goes on in the offices. However, Dr. Guerami has his own set up on Walnut Hill, and I rarely feel rushed there because it's so small and he's the only doctor in that office.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Ali Guerami at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
Many times, the front desk would call and tell me my upcoming payment for upcoming visits, but I have received a few bills after the fact. I'm assuming this is due to insurance settlements.
Describe Ali Guerami's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
Dr. Guerami is adamant that a woman's body is meant to hold one child at a time during pregnancy, and he will not implant two embryos during one IVF cycle. He would prefer that you have a healthy singleton pregnancy that you can carry to term than multiples that may be delivered early and will be in the NICU after being born.

[Dr. Daniel Skora] respectful of me and my partner, who is a trans woman...When we started care and reviewed our labs, he offered us the choice of IUI or IVF due to male factor subfertility. I am still fertile with a great AFC, but have diminished ovarian reserve for my age (I am 28 and my partner is 33). My partner's sperm was right on the edge of recommending straight to IVF, so we chose IVF due to a higher chance of success, overall diminished cost compared to several IUI cycles + potential IVF, and my partner desiring to start HRT.
IVF with ICSI including FET overall cost is about $17,000 [at Fertility Specialists of Texas]...Strengths: The docs are very personable and skilled as far as I have seen!...LGBTQ friendly! The clinic is clean and efficient, easy to navigate. Staff was all friendly and want to help you. I would definitely recommend. Weaknesses: Expensive, but not any more than most places. Billing team a little disorganized but they are responsive and will help you!
How was your experience with Daniel Skora at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
He was very direct and clear but empathetic. Explained everything thoroughly and treated us as equals in our care. I really enjoy his easygoing and nonjudgmental demeanor. Dr Skora's intelligence and kind personality both come across in his care.

Be informed and ready to talk about your options and questions.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Daniel Skora at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
As a midwife, I have very high expectations for my care providers, and Dr Skora met all of them. He takes the time at each appointment to explain your options and procedures. Additionally, he and his staff were all very respectful of me and my partner, who is a trans woman. We did not have to worry about being judged or misgendered in his office.

He prefers to only transfer one embryo, at least in my case. I am not sure if it would be different for someone older or with other health factors.

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
I've had several miscarriages, like more than 5 with two tubal removals (hence why I have to do IVF) as well, as a premature labor resulting in birth and death of our daughter all between 2006 - 2014. Dr. Goldstein has shown concern as to why I've had reoccurring miscarriages. He is the ONLY Dr to actually take the time to try and figure out why and seen I had uterine polyps/fibroids and removed them. No other Dr has ever even mentioned those or that
I feel everything is going well with this clinic [Fertility Specialists of Texas]. Everyone is pretty attentive and is there for any questions or concerns. They try and work with you with financial responsibilities, which is a huge plus because it gets very stressful at times. Everyone is really nice.... All the nurses have been wonderful. But I do feel Amanda could be a little more communicative. When I can't speak to her I talk to Heidi, she's been great.

No other Dr has ever even mentioned those or that, that could be a possibility as to why I was having multiple losses. That meant so much to me and I couldn't thank him enough to take the time and actually care about my well being and not just rush into doing IVF.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Jerald Goldstein at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Easier said than done, but don't be scared or nervous. He truly has your well being at heart.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Jerald Goldstein at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Dr. Goldstein has been nothing but great through out this whole process. I was referred to him by a friend who was a previous patient of his. His bedside manner is wonderful, he goes into everything in detail, listens to all your questions and concerns. I'm very pleased with choosing him as my RE.
Describe the protocols Jerald Goldstein used in your cycles at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic) and their degree of success.
I have not started my stims yet. I will start those Friday morning 2.8.19. But as of right now my protocol is to start menopur in the early a.m at 75iu and Follistim in the evening at 225 I believe.

When we got there he [Dr. Satin Patel] explained everything that he would be doing, did bloodwork, ran several tests, explained each test and what the results were, said the only thing we could do was IVF but we elected to try IUI so we did, during the whole process of IUI I only saw Dr. Patel once, then be called with the negative results and that’s where it ended...He only recommended IVF which now I see why. We wanted to try IUI just to say we did try it and he wasn’t optimistic at all, which I’m glad he was honest I just wish I had someone that was always hopeful since I’m already feeling hopeless! But he was ultimately right - which is good! He was sympathetic but I could tell he didn’t want us to try IUI, he just wanted us to do IVF. So that’s the route we are having to take now.
The nurses make [The Fertility Specialists of Texas]. They remember your name, they treat you like family and always show up with a smile on their face!...IUI was around $1,000 and then the medicine was around $1,300 and then IVF was going to cost around $30,000...The clinic was very nice! The communication was great and was always available to explain anything you needed explained and answers all questions regarding treatments, medicine, timeline or fincances!
How was your experience with Satin Patel at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Very honest and he explains the whole process so you can understand everything and how everything works! Just wish he would be a little more optimistic for us women who are going through infertility we need someone to be hopeful when we feel hopeless!
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Satin Patel at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Be open-minded about IVF. Don’t be afraid to ask “dumb” questions because he will always answer them and not make you feel like it was a “dumb” question!

At the time I didnt think much either way of him. He [Dr. Goldstein] was awkward in his interactions with others but that was it....We did two IVF fresh rounds....he didnt change it from one round to the next. Both rounds had very poor results.... I had significant fertility diagnosis that he missed and continued to do IVF rounds without addressing the problems first. I had fibroids, Endometriosis, and a Uterine Septum that went undiagnosed through 2 rounds of IVF.
I liked the clinic [Fertility Specialists of Texas] itself and how it functioned. They give you a colored picture of your embryos prior to transfer. They also offer to play calming music and have someone pray or do calming breathing exercises with you after the transfer while you wait.... I didnt have a relationship with the nurses there....Upon leaving this clinic, I received the records. The records are conflicting from one appointment to the next.
How was your experience with Jerald Goldstein at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
At the time I didnt think much either way of him. He was awkward in his interactions with others but that was it. After paying 24,000 for two failed cycles, and seeing a different doctor. I was LIVID to discover I had significant fertility diagnosis that he missed and continued to do IVF rounds without addressing the problems first. I had fibroids, Endometriosis, and a Uterine Septum that went undiagnosed through 2 rounds of IVF.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Jerald Goldstein at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
I would highly recommend that they visit someone else with greater attention to detail, and the ethics to not take patients money without telling them the entire medical picture. I filed a complaint on this doctor for doing IVF rounds on me without treating my other medical conditions. My subsequent IVF doctor performed a surgery prior to IVF rounds so that I could get pregnant. He should have done this, but he didnt. He just kept taking my money for IVF rounds that he should have known would not be successful considering all my conditions.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Jerald Goldstein at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Dr Goldstein has very poor social skills, little affect, and is robotic in nature in his interactions with patients. This makes for horrible bed side manner. When patients (such as myself) were distraught or saddened over poor outcomes with transfers he awkwardly didnt know how to respond.
Describe the protocols Jerald Goldstein used in your cycles at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic) and their degree of success.
We did two IVF fresh rounds. I dont recall the specific medications or injections I used. I just know that he didnt change it from one round to the next. Both rounds had very poor results. only producing 2 transferable embryos with nothing to freeze. I dont even know the embryo grades as that information was never explained or shared with me.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
I didnt have a relationship with the nurses there. I dont recall working with anyone specific person to give a description of.

ABout $12,000 per IVF cycle give or take some medications.
Describe Jerald Goldstein's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
We did 2 embryo transfer each time and I was fine with that. In fact, I prefer that.
What specific things went wrong at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
  • Provided conflicting information
  • Failed to convey critical information
Describe the specific things that went wrong at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
Upon leaving this clinic, I received the records. The records are conflicting from one appointment to the next. He stated in one note I have no fibroids, in another that I do. Either way he never told me about the fibroids or recommended any treatment options. He just proceeded with IVF. Further he missed the fact that I have a uterine septum and Endometriosis. All of this would require treatment prior to IVF rounds. He neglected that.

She [Dr. Noorhasan] reviewed my medical history and talked with my previous doctors since my case was unique. She was very honest and said that it would be hard for me to have kids of my own, something I had not even thought about yet. She is helping treat my cyst on my remaining ovary and then going to freeze my eggs. While other doctors gave me no options, she at least gave me a small chance at having children in the future.
It [Fertility Specialists of Texas] is very modern and has a lot of new technology....I can get all my results instantly and get electronic copies to send to my other providers as well.... They replied to phone and emails very quickly and got insurance issues resolved so effectively... The costs are still occurring and my insurance is supposedly covering some of this because of my past medical history... She [Dr. Noorhasan] was sympathetic and very understanding of my situation.

She was sympathetic and very understanding of my situation. I went from not even thinking about having children to the very real possiblity that I probably won't b able to have kids. Since I am still in my mid 20's, she told me she would try everything to give me at least a shot of having kids someday and that's all I was looking to when I went to see her for the first time.

A lot of programs they offer are not geared towards LGBT individuals. They offered on their website an inclusive package however we were not eligible for this because as a gay couple we were not using our own eggs. Also prices are not discounted after an unsuccessful transfer. For example, a transfer is $5000 (plus medication) no matter how many times you transfer. Our previous clinic discounted after each unsuccessful transfer.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Jerald Goldstein at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
Transfer fees are the same no matter how many unsuccessful transfers you have. Our previous clinic discounted the transfer fee approximately 25% after each unsuccessful transfer.

Dr. Noorhasan knew my husband and me and really care about results and outcomes...Dr. Noorhasan is friendly but can be stern. She tells you all risks and is not afraid to tell you when your decision is not best for optimal outcome. She performed all tests and my egg retrieval. I had to reschedule my embryo transfer because I was activated by the military and she was very concerned and helpful...She is about to leave Fertility Specialist of Texas so you will not be able to choose her as a dr but I recommend the clinic!
The clinic [Fertility Specialists of Texas] offered military discount which was greatly appreciated...If you call the front desk, they are extremely helpful. I had great experience with the billing department. I love this clinic...The staff knew my name and I never felt like they were just talking from my chart, they knew my diagnosis and story...I couldn't have asked for a better nurse. Jami was quick to answer all my questions and explain everything with much detail. When we got bad news she knew just how to tell us and what to do next. I am so thankful for her and her skill.

Dr. Goldstein is quirky and slightly antisocial, but is incredibly intelligent, compassionate and dedicated. He's sometimes hard to understand, due to a slight speech impediment. However, he's highly skilled and I'm astounded by his knowledge in his field. He's an incredible physician and truly loves his patients and his practice....If you want the best, Dr. Goldstein is exactly that. If you're needing a hand holder, he's probably not going to be a fit, personality wise. He has great compassion, but is more clinical in his approach. However, his nurses are incredible at filling the gap.

Nice and clean office. Everyone is respectful and organized. Dr and nurse are amazing at what they do. Can't wait for covid19 to pass through so we can do our frozen embryo transfer. I have faith in Kelly and Skora that things will go smoothly just as egg retrieval did.

Dr. Goldstein and all of his staff made my husband and I feel extremely comfortable.... Dr. Goldstein is very good at what he does! My husband and I came in feeling very nervous and he set our mind at ease. Very friendly and compassionate. Not only that, he explained everything in detail and answered all of our questions. We were not rushed out of the office — we felt very at home and like we’ve k own him for years. Just a wonderful man.
Minimal wait time. Very friendly staff, nurses and doctor Goldstein is wonderful! Dr Noorhasan is knowledgable and knows her limitations as well. We do not present as a typical infertility case, and rather than continue on the same course of treatment, she has recommended a third opinion that is not standard of care knowing that it could help us achieve our goal of having a baby. She has also presented us with other options for treatment such as using a gestational carrier should we choose to go that route instead.

IVF with ICSI and PGS testing of our embryos. We already had done IVF and were unsuccessful so it made sense to try again with more information about our embryos. We still did not achieve our goal of having a baby but it appears that I may not be able to carry a baby due to uterine issues that are unknown at this point.

I felt like he [Dr. Satin Patel] was very confident in his work but it scared me thinking was that just because he wanted to sell ivf...I asked if he could just recommend a specialist to do an essure reversal but he was pushing so hard for ivf and I went to an essure specialist and they told me either way was risky....
the nurse [at Fertility Specialists of Texas] was a rude and said I know your impatient but we will get to you ASAP and I didn’t even get to explain before she hung up and so I called back a week later and she apologized cause she send my stuff and personal information to the wrong place....
How was your experience with Satin Patel at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
I believe he was great I just just a little unsure about if he was just trying to sell ivf or if he could really get us pregnant. I asked if he could just recommend a specialist to do an essure reversal but he was pushing so hard for ivf and I went to an essure specialist and they told me either way was risky

Describe your experience with Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
I got everything done then left and a few months went by and my husband joined the military so we called to have them redo the cost and they seemed upset about that and told me it would be done soon so I called the next day and the nurse was a rude and said I know your impatient but we will get to you ASAP and I didn’t even get to explain before she hung up and so I called back a week later and she apologized cause she send my stuff and personal information to the wrong place she said. They emailed me the next day and the price was the same and said they could only give one discount for the essure and nothing for military discount. Honestly I was okay with that but all that waiting and rudeness was uncalled for

He explained when things would be uncomfortable. His team is responsive. The initial consultations can get costly so you have to be prepared for all the out of pocket. With insurance we still spent over $1,000. Dr Skora keeps it real, doesn't over-sell...He was straight-forward and ro the point. I liked all the pricing info and recommendations he supplied for additional treatment and care.
Good location and parking garage access. They explain procedures in depth but not the pain for the Hsg test. I feel like I know what is required from me, I just need financial assistance to get started. They offer support tools...[the Fertility Specialists of Texas nurses] provide needed information and are professional..

[Dr. Jerald Goldstein] is very intelligent and clearly tries to do what is best for his patients. He can be a little difficult to follow at times, and I had to push for time to ask questions. He's not a super warm and fuzzy person, which is okay with me, but not for everyone...Be prepared to advocate for yourself...I had to remind him of details about my situation, and corrected him a few times... I struggled to get clear answers to issues with my medications needing to be sent to specific pharmacies.
I had a lot of miscommunication with nurses [at Fertility Specialists of Texas]. They made mistakes on my medications and did not anyways return my calls. I struggled to get clear answers to issues with my medications needing to be sent to specific pharmacies...I like having multiple locations, but it's very frustrating that you can only call the Frisco office. Having multiple offices was a big part of the miscommunication I experienced, as I rarely even saw my primary nurses.

She [Dr. Dorette Noorhasan] is a good doctor with a lot of patience and is able to explain treatments. We enjoyed the experience, but due to excessive stress in my job the treatment did not work for us. We are in the process of trying again for the last time...We had a multiple embryos transfer...She did explain all the treatments and procedures to us. She made us feel good about the decision we were making at that time.
My nurse [at Fertility Specialists of Texas] was excellent she kept in touch through the process and was accessible for any questions I had...I like the clinic because it was close to my job at that time. The other problem was the surgery center is located in Frisco which is a little far for me...She [Dr. Dorette Noorhasan] is a good doctor with a lot of patience and is able to explain treatments.

Overall I like Dr. Goldstein, I am the type of person who wants to get to the point so I appreciate his straightforwardness...We are doing IVF because my husband had a vasectomy...I felt disconnected on what to expect. Side effects of the injections were not discussed...[He] came into the room prior to the retrieval just to see how it was going which was nice. Did not see him afterwards...none of our embryo's made it...
[nurse at Fertility Specialists of Texas] explained things well and spent time with us...quick to respond to any of my questions that I sent through the portal...financial department could not give clear guidance...as someone paying out of pocket it would have been nice to know that there is an option that is a set price for 3 cycles...asked for an itemized statement however have not received it.
How was your experience with Jerald Goldstein at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
We saw Dr. Goldstein a total of 3 times. At the consult, at the follow up consult to discuss the bloodwork results, and then on egg retrieval day. COVID-19 hit so then our follow up after none of our embryos made it to day 5 was via phone. Consult: Dr. Goldstein went over the IVF process with us an answered our questions we had. He spent quite a bit of time with us and didn't seem to rush us out when our appt. was towards the end of the day. Follow up from the Consult: Dr. Goldstein only we over the AMH and FSH numbers and described what those measured. There were several other tests performed and I had to google what they were. I was surprised they did a blood type test, because I could have told them I was A+ and not have to pay for that. Retrieval: Dr. Goldstein came into the room prior to the retrieval just to see how it was going which was nice. Did not see him afterwards. Follow up appt from the retrieval: This was 2.5 weeks after our retrieval, far too long in my opinion. I feel like this should be scheduled along with your retrieval for day 7 or 8 afterwards. We had none of our embryos make it so it was a devastating wait to see what they heck happen. Especially when your only diagnosed fertility issue is that your husband had a vasectomy. Overall I like Dr. Goldstein, I am the type of person who wants to get to the point so I appreciate his straightforwardness.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Jerald Goldstein at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Understand that it seems like he thinks as he is talking so he may pause as he is working out what is he trying to say.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Jerald Goldstein at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
We are doing IVF because my husband had a vasectomy, I am 30 with good numbers. IVF is a whirlwind journey and I felt disconnected on what to expect. Side effects of the injections were not discussed, no one during the many visits asked if I was having any side effects, after my retrieval, no one called to ask how I was doing. Through IVF it seems like you are in a constant state of being uncomfortable/in some kind of pain. I feel like it is important for a patient to know when something isn't normal, especially on their first go around. Personally I am the type of person who doesn't even want to take a Tylenol for a headache so I figured I was fine as long as I could function but it could have been dangerous if something really was wrong and I just went about my life for two days before my next testing appointment. However, when I did have questions Maureen was great. She answered usually the same day, and would follow up with a call if needed.
Describe the protocols Jerald Goldstein used in your cycles at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic) and their degree of success.
I was on birth control for 17 days. Four days after stopping BC I went in for the labs/sono. The next day I started on 300 Gonal F, 75 iu Menopur for 8 days, on day 9 my menopur was increased to 125 iu. Day 10 I triggered with two syringes of Ovidrell. Also on day 8 I started an antibiotic for 5 days. Day 12 was my retrieval. As far as reasoning I have no idea on the dosages or why it was increased. I can only assume it was because the Doctor felt it needed to be raised.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic). (Assigned nurse: Maureen )
Maureen was the nurse that I saw, she is fabulous. She explained things well and spent time with us. When we had our med teach, as someone who has never even held a syringe she was extremely patient with me as I fumbled through working how to draw up and mix menopur. She was quick to respond to any of my questions that I sent through the portal. One day 1 of injections I had an incident (I passed out), I sent a message through the portal and she called to make sure I was okay. Additional, the office is quite far from my house and work so I would always arrive by 730 for my monitoring and instead of waiting until 830 when my appoint was, she would get me in an out quick. I was usually out of the office by 815 and at work by 930. She also would show me what she was measuring. Also there is one lady, I do not know her name. She takes the blood samples, she has glasses and is Asian, she is the best at it. Not once did I bruise when she took my blood. The nurse on retrieval day was nice, but man did it hurt like hell when she put in my IV. I've never had an IV so I don't know if that is normal, but it was painful to almost bring me to tears. Although bonus, they had snacks after retrieval which is awesome because I was starving and didn't think to bring any.
Describe your experience with Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
Strength - nurse team, front desk, scheduling. Everyone was always pleasant and responsive. The waiting area was clean. Kimberly in the lab talked to me quite a lot during the updates. She was fantastic and was able to get someone on the phone with my on the last day so that I could schedule a follow up appointment. Weaknesses - financial department. When I was told I would have a financial coordinator, I thought that I would have a meeting with something in the financial department. I did not. I received an email with my estimate and a bunch of links to different financing options. What I did not receive was information about the Shared Dreams program. I only found out about this during treatment when I was on hold and it was on the message. I'm actually really upset about this because as someone paying out of pocket it would have been nice to know that there is an option that is a set price for 3 cycles, when we are about to go into our 2nd out of pocket cycle. Not only the lack of information, but just communication. Payment is due 2 weeks prior to starting the injectibles and I asked Maureen the nurse about it, and she said someone from finance would reach out to me. They didn't I had to reach out to them to coordinate payment and she didn't even respond to my email until after we had dropped off the check. The last issue I had with them is that after retrieval on the day the lab called to tell me how many fertilized they asked if we were going to do testing on the embryos. I let the lab know I would follow up after I got confirmation on the price as the estimate form I had said on $2500, but that didn't seem right. So I left a voicemail. Did not receive a call or email back. When the lab called on day 3 she asked again, when I told her I hadn't heard from financial back she was able to get in touch with them and financial emailed me a price for $6600 and said that because I wasn't a part of the package it was more expensive. But then someone else from financial called and said it was only $4400. When I emailed back about the $6600 to ask about this package she is referring to because on the phone I got a different number, I never heard back and still haven't to this day. Turns out we didn't need it because none of our embryo's made it. So if not having correct answers doesn't stress you out when you are spending the equivalent of a used car, then you're fine. If not, be prepared to feel lost and ill informed on the financial side. Also I had asked for an itemized receipt and was told it would takes 2-4 weeks. I have not received that either.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
The financial department could not give clear guidance on the cost of PGS testing. On the estimate I received it was $2500, on an email I was told $6600, on the phone I was told about $4400. Never got a clear answer. Didn't matter for our first cycle, but would eventually like to know it should our next cycle produce any embryos.

Dr.G took his time during my consult and actually seemed to care...We went over my history and he seemed to really help me want to understand why I can't get pregnant...All of my testing that he requested was ordered in a timely manner...[he] has a speech impediment but it did not affect how I understood him. He was still clear and concise...
No problems with scheduling or rescheduling any of my [ Fertility Specialists of TX] appointments and no issues with billing. Just communicate and advocate for yourself and you will be fine. If you do happen to run into any issues, just be patient, stay on them and remember the end goal...[the nurses were] They were quirky, funny and very easy to talk to and relate with. They made me feel welcomed up until I walked out of the office.

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Jerald Goldstein at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Dr.G took his time during my consult and actually seemed to care. He actually genuinely wanted to know what Fertility IQ was and how I found him on here as well as his reviews and what people had to say! Lol We went over my history and he seemed to really help me want to understand why I can't get pregnant AGAIN and it's been two years since the birth of my last child. I have no known fertility issues and he is my first fertility specialist so, so far so good! All of my testing that he requested was ordered in a timely manner. I don't think I could have picked a better Dr!!
Describe the protocols Jerald Goldstein used in your cycles at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic) and their degree of success.
So far after my consult I was scheduled for blood work, an ultrasound then after the start of my next period I will be scheduled an HSG. Getting my blood work done at the office was a simple in and out. The office ladies are so kind and funny! Getting my results through the portal was also seamless.

Dr. Chilvers unfortunately never once looked at me in the face. The visits we did have together she was on her computer typing and reading my results...She just kept pushing IVF~ which is fine, but we had question about other things we could consider like drugs etc. I hate to say it but she felt like a sales person and not a great one...
The billing staff [at Fertility Specialists of Texas] was knowledgeable, you schedule a zoom visit with them after your first consult visit. They broke down pricing for all the diagnostic tests and gave me the potential cost for IVF (and only IVF) as $20,700...The ultrasound and xray equipment is dated. I waited for a long time every time the doctor was involved. The front desk was constantly changing and everyone was leaving...
How was your experience with Rebecca Chilvers at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Dr. Chilvers unfortunately never once looked at me in the face. The visits we did have together she was on her computer typing and reading my results. During our final consultation to discuss our results of all the diagnostic tests and what course we should try. She never discussed options or gave us any idea of what was entailed for IVF or IUI. She just kept pushing IVF~ which is fine, but we had question about other things we could consider like drugs etc. I hate to say it but she felt like a sales person and not a great one.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Rebecca Chilvers at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Read her reviews.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Rebecca Chilvers at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Unfortunately from day one it felt like a sales consult. She is very disorganized and reading your labs to you as she reads them for the first time. She never really looked up from her computer even during the first visit she is just vigorously typing what you are saying. I have been told in the past if a doctor doesn't look at you when getting to know you~ run.
Describe the protocols Rebecca Chilvers used in your cycles at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic) and their degree of success.
She never gave us any treatment strategies~ which is exactly why we chose to not do any IVF etc with her .

Grace is unfortunately NOT with this clinic anymore.
Describe your experience with Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
Clinic location is great and the hospital is pretty. Inside the clinic is average, it is not amazing. The ultrasound and xray equipment is dated. I waited for a long time every time the doctor was involved. The front desk was constantly changing and everyone was leaving.

Chilvers' is very science based. She is not personal, but again, she's a doctor. I don't need my doctor to be warm and fuzzy. If you do seek someone who is compassionate, do not see Chilvers'. Dr. Chilvers' never knew what was happening with my treatment. She missed a significant uterine abnormality...while preparing for transfer. Rebecca wasn't willing to stray from her clinics standard protocol. It felt very uniform and not individualized care.
Fertility Specialists of Texas Frisco - 1. When doing an IUI a nurse made a racial slur...They market themselves as very LGBTQ+ friendly, and they AREN'T...Heidi was an amazing IUI coordinator. She was very detailed and always heard my concerns...When preparing for an IUI the nurse called to tell me not to have intercourse with my husband - I AM IN A SAME SEX RELATIONSHIP

Dr. Chilvers' never knew what was happening with my treatment. She missed a significant uterine abnormality, only to find it after 5 IUI's - while preparing for transfer. What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Rebecca Chilvers at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Seek another clinic and doctor.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Rebecca Chilvers at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic)?
Dr. Chilvers' never knew who you were or what your past history was. She would always refer back to the chart at consults, while you were there in the room. She was never ready for appointments. She was never willing to try any different protocol.

7mg Letrozole IUI cycle- asked to be bumped up to injectables and was denied. Struggled to get my lining thick for FET - asked for more estrogen, patches, etc. and she unwillingly gave me patches.

Heidi was an amazing IUI coordinator. She was very detailed and always heard my concerns.
Describe your experience with Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
Fertility Specialists of Texas Frisco - 1. When doing an IUI a nurse made a racial slur when using the speculum referring to it as a black man. 2. When preparing for an IUI the nurse called to tell me not to have intercourse with my husband - I AM IN A SAME SEX RELATIONSHIP 3. When we sat down to sign consent forms for IVF, they gave us forms that were for a same sex couple. Their solution was to just cross out "husband" etc. They market themselves as very LGBTQ+ friendly, and they AREN'T.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Rebecca Chilvers at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
We were able to use WINfertility at this clinic as they are a partner with FST. Our total cost for egg retrieval, meds, and one transfer was near $16,000. Without using WINferility we were quoted $21,000 for the retrieval, without meds or transfer. IUI's were $1800
Describe Rebecca Chilvers's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Fertility Specialists of Texas (First Fertility Network clinic).
Chilvers' and Fertility Specialists of Texas will only transfer 1 embryo because they lost accreditation with Blue Cross Blue Shield in the past.
