Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

Dr. Jordan and her team [Augusta U RMIA] worked efficiently to research my condition and bring together a multidisciplinary team of doctors (maternal-fetal medicine specialist and hematologist) who could determine if and how I could undergo IVF, pregnancy and the postpartum period. ... She came back to me within days with a plan for managing my risk for clotting that she said she felt very confident about and that kept us on track for our scheduled cycle (with little tweaks):
Before establishing care, I had trouble reaching the front desk [at Augusta U Repro Med & Infert Assoc] to make an appointment and didn’t receive a call back. And while I was undergoing IUI, I called to inform the clinic that my period arrived, as instructed, but was unable to leave a voice message because the mailbox was full. ... The care is always very warm and friendly. My IVF coordinator, a nurse, is prompt with correspondence. She does a great job keeping everything straight. ... I know that the clinic serves a large volume of patients.
How was your experience with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
Dr. Jordan takes the time to explain treatment options, which is critical, especially in the field of reproductive medicine. I appreciate this quality, because not only do I have important decisions to make about my care and my future, but I’m also paying out of pocket for treatment. Also, while experiencing infertility and undergoing treatment, I always felt comforted by Dr. Jordan's light-heartedness and confidence. Even before we achieved our goal of a pregnancy, I had all of the trust and faith in the world in Dr. Jordan and her care.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
As Dr. Jordan is talking with you, take notes — not just notes on what she says but also notes on questions that come up in your mind while she is talking. There’s a lot of information to absorb throughout the process, but she and her staff are always there to help.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
Dr. Jordan supported me through the ups and downs of infertility treatment. She did so through the individualized care she provided that addressed my unique needs and also through her genuine care and concern. I experienced a complication before my IVF cycle, which we thought would cancel or delay the cycle. Her care and concern, displayed through her phone calls to me during my ER visit and the days following, was also very telling of her human-focused approach to care. And when the tide turned in my husband's and my favor and we experienced a successful IVF cycle and frozen embryo transfer, she showed such genuine happiness for us.
Describe the protocols Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan used in your cycles at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates and their degree of success.
A few years ago, well before my husband and I decided to start trying to conceive, I was diagnosed with a rare genetic blood clotting disorder called protein S deficiency. It didn’t require ongoing management — just no use of most birth control pills, and I’d have to use Lovenox, a pregnancy-safe blood thinner, during the first trimester of pregnancy. Considering my protein S deficiency and our goals, Dr. Jordan recommended taking a conservative approach — meaning stimulate my ovaries to produce a small handful of follicles and, therefore, quality eggs — to manage my clotting risk. Before my IVF cycle, Dr. Jordan put me on a special birth control pill for my condition, but I developed a DVT, which we initially thought would delay or cancel the cycle. Dr. Jordan and her team worked efficiently to research my condition and bring together a multidisciplinary team of doctors (maternal-fetal medicine specialist and hematologist) who could determine if and how I could undergo IVF, pregnancy and the postpartum period. She came back to me within days with a plan for managing my risk for clotting that she said she felt very confident about and that kept us on track for our scheduled cycle (with little tweaks): First, we wouldn’t use birth control pills to maximize how my ovaries respond to the medications, which wasn’t a concern because of my age and egg quality. Not using birth control pills meant timing the IVF cycle off of my natural cycle. Second, we would skip the dose of blood thinner I would've taken right before the egg retrieval, and Dr. Jordan would use as few pokes as possible to grab the eggs. Third, we would do a frozen cycle versus a fresh cycle to give my body time to recover from any potential OHSS between the egg retrieval and transfer. Dr. Jordan's treatment strategy was successful: We started with 10 follicles, which dropped to nine by the second ultrasound and remained at nine through the last ultrasound before the retrieval. Dr. Jordan retrieved seven eggs, six of which fertilized using ICSI. All six made it to day 5 blastocyst. Dr. Jordan didn't recommend PGS testing, so we did not test the embryos.

The care is always very warm and friendly. My IVF coordinator, a nurse, is prompt with correspondence. She does a great job keeping everything straight.
Describe your experience with Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.

And while I was undergoing IUI, I called to inform the clinic that my period arrived, as instructed, but was unable to leave a voice message because the mailbox was full. I know that the clinic serves a large volume of patients. Having direct contact with Dr. Jordan mitigated both of these issues.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
IUI cost around $1,000 per cycle — including ultrasound, trigger shot, sperm collection and washing and the insemination. One IVF cycle will cost around $15,000 — including medications, clinic fees and lab fees.
Describe Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
We transferred one embryo, which according to American Society for Reproductive Medicine guidelines, is appropriate for my age (younger than 35).

I would recommend Dr. Jordan to anyone struggling with infertility, especially if you want personalized, intimate care provided by one provider throughout your journey and if you need someone who is caring, compassionate and patient, but also straight forward, confident in her decisions and plans, and brilliant in her field...she was very straight forward, yet empathetic to our emotions at the time and discussed her recommendations moving forward. She was in no way pushy or negative, but honest in her opinion of how we should proceed with round 2.
Waiting room and [Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates] clinic is small so you might as well just show up at the time of your appointment-they move things along as quickly as space allows, but there is no point getting there super early hoping you'll get seen early...[nuyrse] Stacy is extremely organized and knowledgable about the process. She is easy to get in touch with and communicate with. She is not over the top "mushy" or emotionally involved, but just the right amount for this job/role. She answered any question I had no matter how small or stupid it seemed.
How was your experience with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
I would recommend Dr. Jordan to anyone struggling with infertility, especially if you want personalized, intimate care provided by one provider throughout your journey and if you need someone who is caring, compassionate and patient, but also straight forward, confident in her decisions and plans, and brilliant in her field. We switched to Dr. Jordan after multiple rounds of Clomid and IUIs. I came to her with Diminished Ovarian Reserve and Advanced Maternal Age. She was straightforward with us from the start and explained that because of my AMA and DOR, we may not be able to retrieve many good quality eggs for fertilization and transfer, and that using donor eggs may be our best option. We hated the idea of this and did not really want to entertain that option at the time-we had actually gotten pregnant twice previously with no assistance and obviously with my eggs so this was a very hard concept to wrap our brains around. After one round of unsuccessful IVF (limited ovarian response to stimulation meds, 3 mature eggs retrieved and fertilized, 3 blastocysts, 2 of which were transferred on day 5 and the 3rd not suitable for transfer or freezing), we were devastated and feeling very defeated. We could tell Dr. Jordan was genuinely sharing in our devastation even though she probably wasn’t nearly as surprised at the outcome as we were given my DOR, AMA and poor response to IVF stimulation. She took the time to walk back through each step of the process and answer any questions we had. She did not make me feel like a failure in any way and she was very upfront in her answers to all of our questions. Again, she was very straight forward, yet empathetic to our emotions at the time and discussed her recommendations moving forward. She was in no way pushy or negative, but honest in her opinion of how we should proceed with round 2. She strongly encouraged us to reconsider using donor eggs, but in no way made us feel like it was our only option. She was more than willing to try another cycle using my eggs if that was the route we chose. We took some time to seriously consider our options and once we were ready, we moved forward with round 2 using donor eggs and we are now pregnant! She has been by our side at every single appointment, procedure, ultrasound, etc.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
I tell you all of this in my review of Dr. Jordan in case you are in a similar situation or faced with decisions you didn’t want to make or think you’d ever have to make-just give her a chance, hear her out and really listen to what she is saying. Obviously her end goal is the same as yours so she’s going to have that goal in the front of her mind when she’s making recommendations. Ask all the questions. Like so many of us do, I would get caught up in how my cycle/plan differed from a friend’s or someone I read about on Instagram, or I would wonder why Dr. Jordan was doing this or not doing that-she was always open to my questions and if something was reasonable, she would do it, if it wasn’t reasonable, she would have a good explanation as to why. I would highly recommend that once you make the decision to trust Dr. Jordan with your care, just put all your trust in your decision and in her!

Waiting room and clinic is small so you might as well just show up at the time of your appointment-they move things along as quickly as space allows, but there is no point getting there super early hoping you'll get seen early. They are a well oiled machine and it doesn't take long to figure out the process/timing of the way they schedule appointments. Very efficient!

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
I wouldn't ever say anything went wrong, but maybe twice there was a delay in calling with results/next steps. I still eventually received a call, but much later than normal. I would definitely recommend downloading the app/portal as you can see your lab results on there sooner than they will call you-just be patient waiting for the actual call sometimes.

Dr. Laymen is a knowledgeable fertility specialist. He took the time to look at my history at every appointment and adjusted the next step based on what he saw or what I relayed. Since he took the time to explain everything, I never felt that I was being rushed or just a number. I felt that he cared...I was placed on clomid to facilitate ovulation. When it was determine that one ovary, the one I needed, didn't produce a viable egg, he relayed that and recommended the next month
[the Augusta University Reproductive Medicine nurses are] Very efficient and answered any questions mostly the same day. When I emailed using their system, they responded quickly either by phone or email...The clinic is quick and easy to find. I think that some of the rooms are a little small but it is not cramped. They are quick in processing everyone and you are seen in a timely manner. My insemination appts were less than 40 long.

I was placed on clomid to facilitate ovulation. When it was determine that one ovary, the one I needed, didn't produce a viable egg, he relayed that and recommended the next month. Next month came around, and it had worked. He then recommend to wait for my natural ovulation and when that didn't occur as expected, then a HCG shot was recommended. Insemination happened 36 hours later and that was a quick and easy procedure.

I cannot say enough good about Dr. Jordan. You can genuinely tell she loves her job and adores giving people their miracle child. She is so smart, but doesn't speak down to you and makes sure she answers questions and concerns...I absolutely LOVED how European she was with describing things exactly as they are without beating around the bush or sugar coating things. She was kind, but honest.
The [Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates] clinical staff ALWAYS responded and treated us well. Dr. Jordan is worth dealing with bad front desk non-clinical people. She is amazing. Just remember she is busy because she is the best in the area with amazingly high success rates. The non-clinical staff are not heartless as much as just ignorant to the clinical importance of things surrounding IVF. They rotate them too often for them to get a full understanding of Fertility and that is under no control nor say of Dr. Jordan. Don't punish yourself nor her for factors outside of her control.
How was your experience with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
I cannot say enough good about Dr. Jordan. You can genuinely tell she loves her job and adores giving people their miracle child. She is so smart, but doesn't speak down to you and makes sure she answers questions and concerns. After 7 years of working towards IVF and trying so many things along the way, and so many loses of babies, we FINALLY got the OK from insurance and saved the copay to start IVF... Everything was set up... then COVID-19 hit and the hospital she worked with canceled all non-emergent procedures. We were heartbroken, and Dr. Jordan had tears in her eyes with us as we discussed how long we would have to wait, what it would mean, what it would look like, etc. You could tell her heart was broken too. We waited it out. We followed her advice. We knew she was worth believing and waiting for. It paid off, as she did our IVF cycle in July 2020, and it worked. It was a 1 cycle success! We were all shocked with my medical history, but all so elated. Yes, Dr. Jordan is Russian, and occasionally/rarely her accent can be difficult for southern US people (like my husband) to understand, but, she will gladly repeat herself or find a different word to use to make sure you ate clear if you ask her. She doesn't mind it at all and jokes about her accent. 99% of the time I understand her with no difficulty. 90% for my husband. I absolutely LOVED how European she was with describing things exactly as they are without beating around the bush or sugar coating things. She was kind, but honest. Example, I had weight issues due to PCOS, she very plainly told me, "People with extra weight have added Fertility issues. If you can get some weight off it will make our success chances higher." She didn't say it judging, she didn't say it rudely, she just said it Matter of fact. She also added that she would be happy to support me in any way she can to help me lose the weight. Similarly she said the same to my husband. She was our cheerleader as we fought tooth and nail to overcome metabolic issues to lose some weight. She also told us, "Its ok, you will get it next time, now you know what doesn't work, so you can try something else that can work." if we ever had disappointing weigh ins during the time we were tracking it and trying to lose. She wasn't hard on us, but also didn't just placate us or enable us.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
Be honest, say what you think/feel, and always ask questions even if you think you understand what's being said.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
To this day, when Dr. Jordan sees me in the community, or at the hospital we both work within, she will hurry over to me, give me a hug, and ask to see pictures of my child. This is 2 years after I had my child, and 2 yrs 6 months since I was last her Patient. I worked with her for 7+ years, through numerous type of treatments, and numerous other medical condition surgeries. Dr. Jordan ALWAYS asks how I am doing, how my husband is doing, and how my child is doing. She remembers our names, my child's age, and details from the last time we spoke (even as far out as 6 months prior). I know without a doubt, I am not a number to her.

We tried everything for me and my husband because we both had issues.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
The nurses and IVF coordinators with Dr. Jordan are great. They were amazing communicators, really got invested in your journey, and made sure you got what you needed. The front desk staff were not so great, but the nurses worked hard to try to overcome that factor. From my understanding, due to HR of hospital, neither Dr. Jordan nor her staff have any say in front desk staff, but they would always alert HR when there were issues. The nurses and Dr. Jordan genuinely went above and beyond to overcompensate and make up for any bad experience with front desk staff.
Describe your experience with Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
The front desk staff is not great. They are horrible and answering the phone and returning calls. Once you can get a message to a doctor or nurse they were amazing and prompt, it was just the non-clinical front desk staff that were the issue. Best suggestion to circumvent... "Squeaky wheel gets the oil." I would call over and over until someone actually answered. I left numerous messages. If after a day no response (sooner if for an urgent reason) I would just drive to the office and be face to face with front desk staff. They can't ignore you standing there. I also would punch through to leave messages on the nurse line. The clinical staff ALWAYS responded and treated us well. Dr. Jordan is worth dealing with bad front desk non-clinical people. She is amazing. Just remember she is busy because she is the best in the area with amazingly high success rates. The non-clinical staff are not heartless as much as just ignorant to the clinical importance of things surrounding IVF. No idea, 80% of treatments and appointments covered by insurance and got ARC Fertility loan for the not covered IVF. I know over 7+ years we spent well over many $100,000s between all medical parts of infertility.
Describe Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
At first, due to my age, I was not in love with the idea of single embryo transfer, however, after expressing my concerns she explained the plethora of reasons she felt it was best and made sure I was in agreement with her on a cost/benefit ratio approach.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
It all boils down the front office staff having a lot going on and not a great understanding of the importance and time sensitivity of Fertility Journey stuff. Even when they do mess up at front desk, if you bring it up to clinical nurses and doctors, they make it right with urgency.

I felt like a patient, sometimes like a number [with Dr. Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan]. She had a lot going on. But I had other doctors in her practice that were very helpful. So mainly I felt like a human...She had decent bed side manner. Can be stoic at times, but you have to see past that. She was good at explaining things and giving us realistic advice. I seen her twice throughout the IVF process, the other was through telehealth. Overall good doctor, could be better at time management.
Strengths [at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates]- everyone is nice and caring...Weakness- the equipment is a bit dated, sometimes hard to get a hold of the office, but they end up calling back. The front desk lady can do a better job at greeting guests and getting them checked in at a timely manner. Time management of the clinic could be a lot better

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
Dr. Jordan is extremely intelligent and that was apparent from the first time I met her. She is also very confident in her program which in turn makes me feel confident in her abilities as my doctor. I am naturally a very anxious person and she really put my mind at ease by answering all of my questions thoroughly...She really does care and will only tell you the truth - good or bad
Getting an initial consultation appointment [at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates] takes a long time...Sometimes it also feels disorganized and I think they could do a better job of making the appointments "flow" more smoothly. At times it felt chaotic. My advice would be to not be afraid to double check about things you're not sure about. Things really do change for the better once you are an established patient though. They are great at communicating and answering any questions you may have.
How was your experience with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
Dr. Jordan is extremely intelligent and that was apparent from the first time I met her. She is also very confident in her program which in turn makes me feel confident in her abilities as my doctor. I am naturally a very anxious person and she really put my mind at ease by answering all of my questions thoroughly. She is always very positive and concerned for how I am doing or feeling prior to or during a procedure, which I appreciate. Sometimes she does seem to come off a little "short" in her answers but even still, my questions do get answered. Also, I know when she tells me something that she is not sugar coating it which I very much appreciate and again, makes me feel confident in her care.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
Trust her. There are so many unknowns with fertility, but know that she is truly one of the best. She really does care and will only tell you the truth - good or bad. I had done so much research prior to my initial consultation and worked myself up, but she had really already thought of everything.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
My initial opinion of the clinic was honestly not good. It felt disorganized and the coldness from some of the staff made me feel like a number. However, once I actually started treatment and I was an established patient (which for me was when it really really mattered to feel like a human) I truly felt like they cared and were concerned for my well being and how I was feeling.
Describe the protocols Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan used in your cycles at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates and their degree of success.
I took 20 units of Lupron twice daily for the first 3 days, and then on the fourth day I added 225 IU of Gonal-F and 75 IU menopur. Unfortunately, on the fifth day of my protocol, my cycle got cancelled as a precaution due to Covid-19.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates. (Assigned nurse: Stacy Sweetman )
Stacy always got back to my emails really quickly and answered all my questions. The nursing staff was always kind.

Describe Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
Dr Jordan explained to me that it is much safer to do a single embryo transfer because a pregnancy that results in multiples is much more of a risk to the mother and the baby or babies.

Dr. Jordan and her staff responded well to the intensity of all my emotions...There is a bit of language barrier which makes communication challenging. There is a lot of information and sometimes she will hand you a packet of information and expect you to read and understand; however, the positive is that she is patient and will go over any and all questions that you may have.
Initially, I was not pleased [with Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates]. I didn't like the contact procedure, call leave a message and wait for a return call. I also thought the initial staff was pretty unfriendly; however, this changed throughout the year. Once I figured out that e-mailing got me a faster response, I didn't have a problem contacting the clinic.

The post-implantation drugs, specifically the progesterone oil made me have knots subcutaneously which was uncomfortable. Menopur also burned while injecting.

[Dr. Gavrilova-Jordan] She uses visuals (pictures, graphs, etc) to describe certain aspects of treatments and procedures...She was honest from the beginning about what steps I needed to take before trying to conceive (lost weight, work with my psychiatrist to change medicines to safer choices) but wasn’t unkind in conveying them...My wife and I were unsure what to expect seeking treatment as a same sex couple. Dr. Jordan was nothing but respectful and encouraging in our attempts to build a family.
The clinic [Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates] was clean, welcoming, and provided confidentiality. The staff was friendly, respectful, and professional. It was easy to find and the lab they used was directly behind their office, making it easy and convenient...No one answers the phones- it is set up to go to different voicemails depending on the reason for your call...Most messages that I left were not returned until the following day. Once, this almost resulted in me missing the start of my ovulation stimulation medicine.
How was your experience with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
Dr. Jordan is a brilliant doctor and is able to convey her knowledge in a way that patients can understand. She uses visuals (pictures, graphs, etc) to describe certain aspects of treatments and procedures. She usually has medical students with her, and takes the time to explain to them what needs to happen to make sure I am comfortable before proceeding. She also explains to us each step of the process. My wife and I were unsure what to expect seeking treatment as a same sex couple. Dr. Jordan was nothing but respectful and encouraging in our attempts to build a family. She was honest from the beginning about what steps I needed to take before trying to conceive (lost weight, work with my psychiatrist to change medicines to safer choices) but wasn’t unkind in conveying them.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
Call way in advance- as their practice is very busy and it takes months to be seen.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
Dr. Jordan and her staff treated my wife and I like we were humans. They understand the sensitive nature of our treatments and expressed empathy at every step of the process. We never felt rushed during consults, appointments, or even during a follow-up phone call with the nurse. Dr. Jordan, her medical students, the nurse, and the staff made sure to explain what was happening, what to expect, and what future steps would be taken in a way that we could understand but wasn’t condescending.
Describe the protocols Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan used in your cycles at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates and their degree of success.
For our first rounds of IUI, Dr. Jordan performed a transvaginal ultrasound to determine if I had any follicles. Then she performed a Saline Infused Sonogram (SIS) to ensure my tubes were open. On my next cycle, she prescribed Letrazole to stimulate ovulation, did transvaginal ultrasounds you monitor the size of my follicles, and after a positive home ovulation prediction kit, performed an IUI using donor sperm. This resulted in a positive pregnancy test and ultimately the birth of our first son. 2.5 years later we are in the process of giving him a sibling. During our first follow-up consult, she ordered an HSG (hysterosalpingogram) to examine my tubes and uterus (she wanted to ensure tubes were open and there was no obvious reason for our son being born premature (i.e. scar tissue, lingering infection). She and the radiologist did see a small image they were concerned about, so the following cycle she performed a saline infused sonogram to further investigate. She determined that it was probably a small amount of scar tissue but was not concerned enough to do surgery. She actually was able to flush it out using the saline. We then attempted the same course of treatment as our first time, using letrazole and donor sperm for IUI. On the first round I also did a trigger shot to stimulate ovulation since home my ovulation prediction kit never turned positive. We have repeated these steps (minus the trigger shot) for two additional rounds, resulting in three negative pregnancy tests. Our next steps were to either attempt a fourth IUI or discuss IVF. Unfortunately, our last IUI was performed the week before the American Society for Reproductive Medicine urged fertility treatments and procedures be put on hold. When her office opens back up, we will meet with Dr. Jordan to determine our next course of treatment.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
The nursing staff was professional and respectful. They communicated Dr. Jordan’s treatment plan for us in a way that was easy to understand. They were willing to answer any questions I had and were patient as I wrote down all the information they shared. One nurse did schedule me for the wrong procedure (SIS instead of HSG) but when I called to confirm my appointment and she realized her mistake, she adjusted Dr. Jordan’s schedule to accommodate my procedure so that I didn’t have to wait for my next cycle. My complaints are that when they would call to tell us the times for our IUI, each one instructed my husband to come to the lab to provide a sample. It wasn’t upsetting, but I did think they should have looked at my charts to know I’m married to a woman and would be using donor sperm.
Describe your experience with Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
The clinic was clean, welcoming, and provided confidentiality. The staff was friendly, respectful, and professional. It was easy to find and the lab they used was directly behind their office, making it easy and convenient. The clinic has an on-call nurse for weekends and holidays that was relatively easy to get in touch with. My biggest, and really only, complaint is that it is really difficult to get in touch with anyone at the clinic, even during regular office hours. No one answers the phones- it is set up to go to different voicemails depending on the reason for your call (new client, to schedule a procedure, billing) and you have to leave a voicemail. As fertility treatments are time sensitive and emotionally charged, it was incredibly frustrating not being able to contact the office when questions around. Most messages that I left were not returned until the following day. Once, this almost resulted in me missing the start of my ovulation stimulation medicine. Had I not called the on-call weekend nurse after I hadn’t received a call back in over 24 hours, I wouldn’t have started the medicine in time and thus would have had to wait another cycle for our IUI.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
Insurance covered procedures related to diagnosing infertility (saline infused sonogram and HSG) but not anything else. As an estimate, each round of IUI (ultrasound, labs, sperm washing, IUI) cost roughly $1,000.

Dr. Jordan prefers single embryo transfers because the risk of multiples having health problems/death is not worth it...Felt like a human because she is extremely friendly. She gives you her full attention and doesn’t leave any details out. Makes you feel warm and welcome each time she’s in the room...is extremely busy but she makes you feel like she can sit and talk to you all day. She is excellent at telling you what to expect and what each procedure entails. She could do a better job with the details of what comes next in the process. I am a nurse so I feel like I ask appropriate questions as to what to expect. That information isn’t always readily given to you.
Ultrasound appointments were generally done first thing in the morning, starting at 8:00 am [at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates]. Overall the clinic is always very clean. You may have trouble getting in touch to make an appointment because scheduling initially goes through Augusta University Hospital. Once you’re an established patient, communication becomes much easier.

Egg retrieval medications started with SQ Lupron injections morning and night (on a Wednesday). Then a couple days later we added SQ Menopur and SQ Follistim injections in the evening. The next Monday, Wednesday and Friday I went into the clinic and had my estrogen levels drawn and transvaginal ultrasounds for follicle counts. On Wednesday’s visit my estrogen levels were high and I was told to start drinking 40-60 grams of protein every 4-6 hours and to decrease my Follistim dosage that evening. On Friday’s visit my estrogen levels doubled and I was told to stop the menopur and Follistim altogether and begin drinking 80 grams of protein every 4 hours. My retrieval was on the next Monday and I had to do the HCG trigger shot over the weekend prior to. They retrieved 30 eggs under sedation and told me to continue drinking the protein to prevent Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome.

[Dr. Gavrilova's recommendations were] blunt and concise but ultimately helped me to a positive pregnancy test for the first time in my life...was very knowledgeable about fertility. I appreciated the fact that she personalized my treatment plan every step of the way. After seeing 2 other fertility specialist Dr. Jordan was very candid with me about what I could personally be doing to improve my chances of a healthy pregnancy.
The nurse Stacy [at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates] knew my name when I called her. She almost always answered my calls directly to her with my many questions...17 eggs were retrieve at my egg retrieval...[staff was] Extremely knowledgeable, responsive, & compassionate...Due to my age, 39, we decided to transfer 2- 5 day embryos...We were able to coordinate Ultrasounds, & last tests with the fertility clinic in my hometown which made the every other day testing very easy. I would encourage any patient at least to have a consultation with Dr. Jordan. You will not regret it.

The drive to Augusta was a over a 2 hour drive for my husband & I but it was worth every minute. Dr. Jordan suggested to only transfer one embryo as carrying multiples could be dangerous for me...She may not call you by name but doesn't mean she doesn't remember your medical history or what needs to be done under her care...The doctor told me I would be pregnant through IVF with no concern but we wanted to try IUI's first, IUI's are way cheaper than a commitment to IVF..
[Augusta U Reproductive Medicine nurse] was helpful and would respond in the same business day that I would email her with any questions...Around 22-23K (including medication) if not more due to different procedures I needed to have...The office in the beginning of my journey was unorganized and the wait period to see the doctor was very long. When I would call no one ever answered the phone, you have to leave a voice mail each time for a response.
How was your experience with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
I was diagnosed with endometriosis, had 2 cone biopsies which led to a very scarred and short cervix, only have 1 fallopian tube due to an ectopic pregnancy and Dr. Jordan helped me in my journey to become pregnant on my first IVF transfer. I know that Dr. Jordan is one of the absolute best and extremely knowledgeable. She never called me by name but was always very informative and explained everything in detail. The end goal was a pregnancy and that's what I got!
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
She may not call you by name but doesn't mean she doesn't remember your medical history or what needs to be done under her care. She is the best! One day when she was out, the doctor who saw me was raving about her and how I was in the best hands.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
I was treated well. Never felt like the doctor didn't care about my concerns and everything was explained to me in great detail.
Describe the protocols Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan used in your cycles at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates and their degree of success.
The doctor told me I would be pregnant through IVF with no concern but we wanted to try IUI's first, IUI's are way cheaper than a commitment to IVF expenses and we had a good chance with my husband having excellent sperm count and mobility. After the 3 failed attempts, we moved onto IVF with a positive pregnancy the first transfer.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates. (Assigned nurse: Stacy Swetman)
Stacy was helpful and would respond in the same business day that I would email her with any questions for the Doctor. A bit short in responses but to the point I guess.
Describe your experience with Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
The office in the beginning of my journey was unorganized and the wait period to see the doctor was very long. When I would call no one ever answered the phone, you have to leave a voice mail each time for a response. I would get frustrated by these things, but I stuck it out because I had read so many great things about Dr. Jordan and glad I did. After COVID it didn't seem that they had as many patients as normal which made the office/doctors very busy normally and it seemed they were getting better at coordinating appointments as the time progressed.

Describe Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
Dr. Jordan suggested to only transfer one embryo as carrying multiples could be dangerous for me with having a short cervix and also not recommended in general unless we had failed transfer attempts.

She [Dr. Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan] truly listened to our worries and concerns with both our fertility needs and my husband's cancer treatment. She did not try to rush us into starting ivf treatment as she new getting him healthy needed to happen first. The only rush was to get semen frozen prior to the start of chemo. She was a lifeline in a very difficult time.
[Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates] Strength is that staff is always friendly. Weakness is that its common to have to leave a message when calling, although they do answer back quickly... gave upfront pricing and so did the lab which was next door...I just recently started dealing with the ivf nurse coordinator and she has been very friendly, compassionate and done things I'm a very timely manner.
How was your experience with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
Dr. Jordan listens to her patients needs and wants, but also makes sure the treatment is the safest and best options for all medical issues the couple may face. The clinic is small but has everything they need just without a lot of unneeded extras. Her clinic is also very aware that cost can be a barrier and they really try and let the patients know of resources maybe available. She also gives as much info to patients such as a 25 page info packet and recommended I use FertilityIQ for more references.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
I'd make sure they know that most insurance companies don't cover things involving infertility issues about getting information about your options will be worth it.

[Dr. Gavrilova-Jordan] discovered that for us IVF was the best option. She followed my cycle closely, and I saw her at each appointment. She was very involved and knew exactly what was going on and what I had already been through. She knows her patients very well and never forgets little details. Always explains very well and is willing to answer any questions her patients may have. For each result she explained what that meant and what the next action plan was. She covers every base and if there is a chance in a pregnancy, she will not give up on you..We are not a number, but people who she strives to help and to make us a successful outcome. She connects with patients like no other doctor and goes above and beyond to help us understand and to get positive and desired results. I am only coming back for her for future pregnancies, and do not wish to see any other clinics or doctors if I move.
All of the nurses [at Georgia Regents] have shown compassion and deep care for us. When we came in one morning and we discovered that we had just lost a baby, there was always one nurse with us at all times, while Dr. jordan was contacting one of the high risk doctors for us to see, making sure we had the best care, instead of simply sending us to the emergency room. The staff in this clinic would never abandon us or send us somewhere. During this most difficult time in our lives, they were our rocky, like family! I absolutely love this clinic and it’s staff and Dr. jordan. Amazing experience!!!
How was your experience with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
If could, I would rate Dr. jordan as a 20 instead of a 10/10. She is amazing and so knowledgeable of what she is doing. If anyone can help, she can and I value her opinion very highly. I would say that Dr. Jordan is the doctor that I most trust and would not want to see any other. We have moved cities and we are already planning to return to her for future embryo transfers. I would travel hours to see her. I have suggested her to some friends going through infertility. She is simply amazing and will be completely honest with you, never deceiving or creating false hopes. Very truthful! She cares and is extremely compassionate. I value her very much!
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
There is no advice needed as she will do everything to understand you and your case, and will do everything to help and turn your visits into a positive pregnancy test. After many years of trying, my husband and I met with her, and she never gave up on me. I have PCOS and other barriers that prevented me from getting pregnant and she never gave up, always wanting to understand what was not working. Her perseverance allowed us to find out what was wrong and how to overcome it. She is amazing!

When I first visited Dr. Jordan , my cycles were irregular. She prescribed me Provera to bring on a period. After my period started , I was able to schedule an HSG with the clinic. The HSG was performed & that’s when Dr. Jordan discovered my tubes were blocked. After a few more visits - it was determined that I would have to undergo tubal removal , to better enable IVF...She listens to my goals & my issues INTENTLY! She even ensures that I understand what is going on & what to expect. She comforts me when I cry & remains positive
The clinic [Georgia Regents]does a great job updating me of progress, schedule changes & providing further information. They also work really close to Dr. Jordan & ensure they are supporting her directions It can be better in answering phones & returning calls in a timely manner...[the nurses are] Very knowledgeable & super caring ! Very attentive to Dr. Jordan...You most make a deposit of 3600 that goes towards the clinic. I was told medications would be around 3000-5000. And the lab procedures would be around 5000

Dr. Jordan is an excellent doctor...She took her time and explained every procedure and what she was seeing. She answered any questions I had. Even though she is super busy, she never seemed rushed when talking to me...Since she is associated with AU, there are students studying with her. They always introduce themselves and I am sure if it was an issue, then they don't have to be in the room.
The nurses [at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine] have been wonderful. One even held my hand during a procedure where there was a bit of pain. The nurses have called me back ASAP to reassure me about things. The nurses are the best I have ever had at a doctors office...The clinic forgot to order one lab, but at my next appointment they ordered it. It was an extremely minor error.

I felt that Dr. Jordan could be pushy at some point when it comes to treatment. Our biggest issue would be that I had to travel over 2 hours for each appointment. This means a lot of time off work. When discussing the ivf process, we thought we could monitor in our home town but due to PCOS that was quickly shut down. I was upset with the fact that she wouldn’t allow me to monitor in my home town but as we went through the ivf monitoring
I don’t like that the equipment is on the outdated side. The TVs in the monitoring rooms were not used so it was hard to see exactly what was going on with the scans. I do like the fact that the clinic [Georgia Regents] is in it owns building and there isn’t a lot of traffic in and out....Stacy was the ivf coordinator for the clinic. She always returned emails and phone calls efficiently and answered all my questions.

Describe the protocols Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan used in your cycles at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates and their degree of success.
Dr. Jordan had us complete 3 months of letrozole and time sexual inter course. When this didn’t work we moved on to IVF. We skipped iui because our issues weren’t producing eggs or sperm. The issues was the egg and spent coming together. Once we decided on ivf we set up a consultation appointment and everything move along quickly from there. My ivf monitoring only took around 10 days as my eggs progressed very well on the meds prescribed. We were able to retrieved 14 eggs all fertilized but only 6 made it to 5 day blastocyst.

We chose to only transfer one embryo at a time. This is due to age and the fact that at this time we have no other issues.

[Dr. Gavrilova-Jordan's] protocols are unparalleled. She succeeded in getting me and my husband pregnant with our first embryo transfer...is confident, dedicated, caring, intelligent, wonderful, amazing and I could go on and on. It is truly an honor and privilege to have a doctor so invested in your success...The level of communication that Dr. Jordan provides is unlike any other doctor I've been treated by. She made me and my husband feel extremely important, and we never felt like a number. She takes time to answer all of your questions and is genuinely invested in your success.
Stacy (the IVF care coordinator) and all of the nursing staff [at Georgia Regents] are incredible. Stacy is reachable by telephone or email at all hours of the day and constantly on top of everything. I cannot stress enough how incredible she is. She and Dr. Jordan make an unbelievable team...I know it is much more affordable compared to other clinics in Georgia and surrounding states... From the moment you walk in the door, you know you are in a caring facility. The team doesn't make you feel like a number. They are willing to work with you on appointment times and extremely accommodating. The clinic is efficient and organized. There isn't one weakness of this clinic.

How was your experience with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
Dr. Jordan is very knowledgeable and has a great track record. She is highly structured, very professional, and uses her years of experience to guide clinical judgement. She explains the treatment path and can back it up with research references. She was present at all of our appointments and spent 30-45 min with us each time. I can be a pessimist, and she has been very good at shining light on the positives through examples of prior patient outcomes and how our results relate.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
Her demeanor is very matter-of-fact and some could view as not-relatable, but she has your best interest in mind. She truly wants you to have success through your treatment and will do all that she can to make it happen.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
She meets with you at every appointment and discusses your situation thoroughly. She either performs or oversees the performance (in the room guiding the process) of all your treatments. I like to know EVERYTHING about my diagnosis and treatment plan, and she gives me as many details as I like.
Describe the protocols Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan used in your cycles at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates and their degree of success.
We started with three IUIs, because there was no evidence of any issues on my behalf and my spouse had slightly lower sperm count. With each IUI, it became more apparent that my spouse's sperm count was lower than initial tests showed. We paused treatment for my spouse to go to a urologist; he had varicoceles on both sides and had a variocelscotmy. We restarted treatment and were told we could attempt IUIs again, but we chose to move ahead with IVF. We had a straight-forward IVF treatment and were planning on a fresh transfer. The COVID-19 situation stopped our treatment at egg retrieval. She retrieved 19 eggs, 4 inseminated that day, 7 others were inseminated via ICSI the next day after maturing for 24 hours, and 4 eggs made it to the embryo stage. The four were biopsied and sent for genetic testing. Two were recommended for transfer. We are currently waiting for our first frozen transfer.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates. (Assigned nurse: Stacy)
The general nursing staff are satisfactory, not great or bad. The care coordinator seems to care but isn't a great communicator. I'd ask questions and get simple answers with no details on why.
Describe your experience with Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
The clinic is part of the hospital, so it is not the most glamorous office compared to private practices. They had all the necessary equipment needed, and the lab portion is located right behind the clinic (note: the lab is billed separately from the clinic and doesn't always accept the same insurances).
Describe the costs associated with your care under Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
$3600 for IVF $4000 for IVF medications $4600 for lab $1200 for IUI $5000 for genetic testing (costs include clinic fee, lab fee, and genetic testing facility fee)
Describe Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
For our situation, we were told there would only be single embryo transfer, because we've had one successful natural pregnancy and I'm under 35. We were told the risks associated with multiple embryo transfer and understood her approach.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
After egg retrieval and initial feedback for three days from Dr. Jordan, there were a few days of no communication. When an update was requested through the care coordinator, a simple number of embryos was given without explanation of what happened to the others. It felt insensitive and left us wondering what happened to our other fertilized eggs.

How was your experience with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
Dr. Jordan adjusts to the situation and there were a few times I thought we would be doing something and then we weren't. This last visit I thought I was getting an ovulation trigger shot for example and she decided I was late enough in my cycle that we would wait for my period and do another round of Clomid before trying IUI next month. It was more confusing than upsetting - but I would rather my doctor adjust to the situation than to stick to their guns stubbornly and not get the results.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
She takes your infertility personally and will adjust to the situation to get you to where you want to be - pregnant. She is blunt and will tell you what you need to hear.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
Dr. Jordan objectively evaluates us as a couple. She treats our infertility as a puzzle and adjusts her plans as needed. She has taken the time to explain every aspect from timing, biology, and procedures to us. She performed a SIS on me and explained everything as she was doing it and I felt very comfortable with her in a rather uncomfortable situation. She has been optimistic and has helped me to be more optimistic about our situation.
Describe the protocols Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan used in your cycles at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates and their degree of success.
The first appointment was meeting the team, discussing family and personal histories, and getting blood work workups to get hormone levels and to test me for genetic screenings. The following appointment was a saline sonogram (SIS) and she was very clear about what she was doing and made sure my husband and I could see what she was explaining on the sonogram. The SIS was to see if my uterus was fibroid/polyp free, fallopian tubes were patent (open), ovaries - to check my egg reserves. At our 3rd appointment she went over our mild infertility issues. She discussed that there is likely a cervical mucus issue for me along with my anovulation and my husband's slight motility issues. She suggested that we do IUI to bypass the cervix and insert more sperm straight into the uterus to help more sperm be where they need to be. She explained the whole process and was very reassuring that we should get pregnant within 1 or 2 IUI procedures. Since I respond to Clomid I will take Clomid and I will come back for an ultrasound to check that I responded to the medication and that my egg/s are ready to descend on CD 10-12. Then about 2 days after that my husband and I will both come in to do the IUI.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
I have paid $275 for my SIS. My genetic preconception tests and hormone blood work was almost completely covered through my insurance - I owed $10 of a $1250 bill. Dr. Jordan works very hard to keep the clinic's costs reasonable compared to what I have seen some other clinics charge.

Dr. Jordan is very knowledgeable. She pays close attention to results and looks for the underlying issue. I had been seeing my OB for 2.5 years before visiting Dr. Jordan and not once was anything said about my TSH level. Dr. Jordan put me on thyroid medicine immediately. She also noticed that my husbands blood results were off and was the one to determine he had an issue with his pituitary gland. She was laid back, honest, and always patient with us.
The clinic [Georgia Regents-Augusta] is very small. Their facility is tiny and nothing fancy. It is clean and they get the job done but it was different from what I had envisioned. They are very laid back which is kind of nice.... Stacy was amazing! She knew my case, responded to all of my concerns, and just had a good personality.... Doctors Fee - $2900* Lab Fee - $3650 Anesthesia Fee - $375 Embryo Cryopreservation <=8 - $475 First year of storage - $435 Injection Training - $25 *I received a discount on my doctor fee due to the clinic being 4 hours away from my home.

...Dr Jordan [Georgia Regents] also didn't seem concerned with a diagnosis because it required an extra surgery, but when she saw an endometrioma on my saline sonogram and a separate uterus, she scheduled a laprascopy ASAP. How was your experience with Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
Dr Jordan is a very straight-forward person who immediately gives the impression that she is highly experienced, well trained, specially educated, and fully capable of handling your case. She presents all of the facts as they are and then tells you your chances, possible setbacks, and even explains the financial details. It's easy to see that fertility/infertility is her passion and that she cares more about success than money. Her bedside manner can come off as slightly flippant because she is so knowledgable, but she will listen when you advocate for yourself and gives you her full attention.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates?
Be willing to let her have control because she knows what she is doing, but also be prepared to speak up for yourself when you have concerns.

Dr Jordan always referred to me by name and knew my case history without having to look it up each time. When there was a setback, she took extra time to assure me that she was very dedicated to getting me pregnant and genuinely cared for my wellbeing.
Describe the protocols Larisa Gavrilova-Jordan used in your cycles at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates and their degree of success.
I am 31 and always suspected endometriosis but it was never confirmed. Dr Jordan also didn't seem concerned with a diagnosis because it required an extra surgery, but when she saw an endometrioma on my saline sonogram and a separate uterus, she scheduled a laprascopy ASAP. Within two weeks I was in surgery and diagnosed with severe Stage 4 endometriosis. My Fallopian tubes both needed to be removed and Dr Jordan spent an additional 3 hours excising adhesions and scar tissue. My AMH was 3.4 so my protocol for IVF was micro-dose lupron antagonist. I did 20mcg lupron twice a day with 75mg menopur and 250mg Follistim each night for 10 days. I had 11 mature follicles at my last scan and 13 eggs were retrieved. All were fertilized using ICSI due to male factor infertility. 8 fertilized, 6 grew normally, transferred 1 (we were given the option of transferring 2 since my endo was so severe but we chose 1) and 5 embryos made it to freeze. My beta 8 days later was positive and I'm currently 37 weeks pregnant with one boy.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
I has many painful setbacks during my care and each time I saw a nurse, they seemed truly sympathetic and compassionate. They all cheered a great deal when my Tests were positive.
Describe your experience with Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates.
The clinic is small and operates on a university research budget, so office setting, decor, and atmosphere suffer. It is clean and efficient, but it isn't like the fancy clinics you'll see in commercials. However, the staff more than makes up for the appearance.

Dr. Jordan took a vested interest in my treatment and success at becoming a mom...was always honest about the likelihood of sucess. She discussed all options fully and made recommendations, but ultimately supported our decisions. Although we had a very tough case involving Diminished Ovarian Reserve and male factor infertility, we continued to try every option including donors and IVF. I would recommend her to anyone...Be aware that she is very blunt, but she cares deeply about patient sucess...We tried 3 IUI cycles, then IUI cycles with donor sperm. After years of continued good response to clomid, Dr. Gavrilova-Jordon felt comfortable moving forward with IVF. We were able to do one IVF cycle and transfer a 3 day embryo, which did not result in a pregnancy. I would have moved forward with another cycle if we hadn't moved.
Stacy [nurse at Georgia Regents] was phenomenal and answered any questions with compassion and understanding. She had a quick response and took her time to make sure we understood all the steps...If I arrived early enough, the monitoring appointment was quick. If you end up being the last on in the door, you might wait for hours...Over the course of our 7 IUIs and 1 IVF, we spent $25,000...All of the nurses on staff are friendly and helpful. The clinic is hard to get in touch with. Often you are left with answering machine and leaving messages. If you choose the right option your call is returned promptly.
