This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.
For more information please see our FAQs.
Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

How was your experience with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
Dr Asemota is very knowledgeable about infertility and reproductive health in general. Apart from thoroughly educating us about our diagnosis, treatment options/procedure, and complications, she also signposted us to additional material that helped to build our confidence. She was very honest and transparent with information about our treatment options and what was the most suitable one for our diagnosis. In our case for instance, our diagnosis was male factor infertility with poor quality sperm (abnormal morphology, low count, low concentration and motility). She was candid enough to make us understand that natural conception was very unlikely and that IUI would not do any better especially after trying for almost 10 years. Because we were financially challenged at the time, we insisted on having a trial of IUI which she was willing to do. Once the IUI failed, she advised that doing another round of IUI might be a waste of resources, and that our best option was ICSI. Dr A is not just passionate about her work and getting good outcomes, but she's also very compassionate about restoring the lost hope and confidence between couples by making them pregnant. I would say that this is one of her greatest strengths. Dr A boasts of a great network of donors who from time to time provide funding to support couples who cannot afford the cost of IVF treatment. Once she realized that we could not afford ICSI, she compassionately signposted us to grants that covered free and up to 50% off IVF cycles. We put out a good statement in our application and were lucky to be the winners of a free IVF cycle which resulted to a positive pregnancy. She is not only kind and respectful to her patients but exhibits very cordial relationship with her team. She is very responsive, and queries directed at her during or after working hours are promptly and adequately responded to.
I can hardly make out any weaknesses. Having heard all the negatives about patient doctor encounters, i must say there a very good exceptions out there and Dr A was just outstanding.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
Ask as many questions as you can, Dr A and team are patient enough to listen and provide you with answers. Read all the material provided to you and learn to exercise a little bit of patience. The fertility journey is not a sprint!!
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
From my very first visit in December 2022, Dr A as we fondly call her was very receptive and pleasant. She quickly picked up our names and knew them by heart. She identified with our infertility ordeals and was very compassionate throughout. We developed a cordial relationship with Dr A and her clinical and administrative staff and unlike the strict agency relationship, we shared a lot of humor which was very significant to help us through a very difficult spell of infertility treatment. Dr A never missed or postponed my appointments, neither did she rush us during our consultations. She was always soft spoken and cheerful. She adequately educated us on infertility as a medical problem couples face and in very simple terms explained the cause of our infertility, while providing us with the options available for treatment. The clinical staff were very professional as they respected our dignity and elaborated on any step or procedure taken in our fertility journey. Being a patient at hope fertility felt like being part of a family.
Describe the protocols Obehi Asemota used in your cycles at Hope Fertility and their degree of success.
For egg retrieval follicular stimulation was done with Gonal-F subcut inj, with Low dose HCG 5 subcut and aspirin, then cetrotide subcut added on the 8th day followed by 5000 HCG, Lupron and Carbagoline before retrieval.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Hope Fertility. (Assigned nurse: Kristy Sutton)
There could not have been a better person to be assigned as my coordinator. Kristy has a caring and compassionate personality. She is respectful and fully committed to doing her Job. Kristy ensures that my instructions are posted on time, detailed enough but simple to understand. She is very accessible and always responds to my concerns accordingly. She has good problem-solving skills which were demonstrated several times when I was anxious about mild bleeding following my procedure, or issues with medication dosages. She was able to calm me down and provide the information needed to address the issue or reassurance which were very helpful. She was always available to receive me at the clinic ensuring that I receive dignified and high quality care.
Describe your experience with Hope Fertility.
Hope fertility clinic is situated in a great location, away from the traffic, congestion and noise pollution. They have a great and tidy space, with a nice touch to the interior (including reception area, offices, specimen collection and procedure rooms) which makes for a very patient-friendly environment. The health information management system (patient portal) is easy to navigate and there's always someone available to provide prompt responses to queries not directly addressed to Dr Asemota or the coordinator. Hope fertility boasts of very professional and knowledgeable clinical and administrative staff that made my interest a priority. They were very transparent with all communication surrounding my care including costs of treatment and the line of action that will lead to better outcomes. Detailed information was provided for all procedures and informed consent was sought on every occasion. Being a patient at hope fertility has been one of the biggest blessings in my life, considering the fact that having a baby has been my biggest dream, but affording successful treatment would have taken a lifetime. Hope fertility made this dream a reality through a free IVF cycle grant that we won few months ago. My partner and I are 100% happy with the team and the care they provided. Getting to this point required support that was outside the remits of direct clinical care, and hope fertility as a team were there to support me to surpass those hurdles.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility.
Our Hope Fertility's IVF Cycle was a $12,500 package which could have been reduced to $10K if paid in cash, check or wire transfer on or before cycle due date. Fortunately, we won a 100% (free) IVF cycle which covered the costs of the frozen embryo transfer. Labs were covered by insurance. Cost of medication ranged somewhere between $4000-$6500. Backup medication, coupons and insurance helped to cushion medication cost.
Cost of IUI was around $1650
Describe Obehi Asemota's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Hope Fertility.
Dr A explained single and multiple embryo transfer and explained the risks of multiple pregnancy especially. The option was mine to chose from, but i sensed a preference for single transfer mainly because of her assessment of my risks and the fact that its my first pregnancy
Her [Dr. Obehi Asemota] door was open every time I was there, making her easy to chat with even if I was only there for bloodwork...would reply to my questions in the patient portal promptly...During our IUI procedure, I told her how nervous I was about cervical pain from a past experience...took the time to get Alexa set up for me with music that relaxes me, she was explaining everything so I was not in the dark about what would happen, and again, as it was happening.
The office [Hope Fertility has] a small boutique feel, both in the aesthetics and the level of attention and care...I was given not only personalized care by Dr. Asemota, but I was also assigned a personal care point of contact in the office...We laughed with our care team, we felt heard, we felt like they took time with us, rather than rushing us...Wonderfully warm office all around.
How was your experience with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
I kind of already said this in the previous prompt, but I will just reiterate how warm and friendly and approachable she was. Her door was open every time I was there, making her easy to chat with even if I was only there for bloodwork, not there to see her. She would reply to my questions in the patient portal promptly and even went above and beyond helping me understand things about getting a covid vaccination now that I am pregnant, as well as researching something for me about my dental care as a pregnant person that I was not able to find anywhere else. She connected with us on a human level both in and out of the office and that was really meaningful for both my husband and me. During our IUI procedure, I told her how nervous I was about cervical pain from a past experience, and took the time to get Alexa set up for me with music that relaxes me, she was explaining everything so I was not in the dark about what would happen, and again, as it was happening.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
Just go! She is amazing. No advice needed.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
This is my first experience personally with a fertility doctor. But I work with parents of babies, about half of whom got pregnant using a fertility doctor and who shared with me what their experience was like with their various doctors. Because of those stories, I was expecting to be treated like just another number on a file. My experience at Hope Fertility with Dr. Asemota was significantly better than what I was expecting. I was given not only personalized care by Dr. Asemota, but I was also assigned a personal care point of contact in the office (Niecy) who also got to know me and my husband while we were in their care. The office has a small boutique feel, both in the aesthetics and the level of attention and care. But it doesn't come with the arrogant doctor with no bedside manner. We laughed with our care team, we felt heard, we felt like they took time with us, rather than rushing us. I never felt rushed, I never felt that my questions were viewed as annoying. It felt like she REALLY wanted us to get pregnant as much as we did.
Describe the protocols Obehi Asemota used in your cycles at Hope Fertility and their degree of success.
I wish I could give this information, I forgot the fertility jargon as soon as it was no longer relevant! I know we did a blend of Clomid and injections, and I know that produced 3 mature eggs at the time of our IUI procedure.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Hope Fertility. (Assigned nurse: Niecy)
I loved having Niecy as my care point of contact. She was so calm, and had any answer to any question I had for her. And the random time or two that she didn't, she didn't pretend to know to save face. She was honest and got Dr. Asemota involved to get me an answer ASAP. I never felt anything but totally cared for with Niecy. I'm sure the others were amazing too! I just didn't get to know them as they were not assigned to me.
Describe your experience with Hope Fertility.
The clinic itself is very aesthetically pleasing making it feel more like a boutique with tasteful art, not a cold doctor's office feeling. They are SUPER diligent about cleaning, sanitizing, temp taking, and making you wait in your car instead of in the lobby because, Covid is still a thing at the time of my writing this. The front desk staff remember you each time, and seem to be rooting for you as much as Dr. Asemota and the nurses. Wonderfully warm office all around.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility.
Everything was covered by our insurance.
Describe Obehi Asemota's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Hope Fertility.
[Dr. Obehi Asemota] went above and beyond to answer our questions, listen to our concerns, educate us to make tough decisions, and find the right treatment plan...This was the first clinic where we felt like she planned our treatment cycle specifically for us...helped us decide to pursue treatment for endometriosis before starting a cycle...When challenges occurred she worked hard to reassure us. She doesn’t sugar coat things, but is very honest and scientific with her answers. She uses compassions but is trustworthy.
From the moment you walk into the clinic [Hope Fertility], you will feel welcome, known by name and heard. Seeing the same faces each time you go to the clinic makes a big difference. The online portal makes communication and getting your questions answered easy. The staff go above and beyond to make what can be a scary process feel doable. I would prefer to receive a calendar sooner in the process, but the team likes to make updates and decisions based on your latest bloodwork results. It’s great for personalizing your cycle but not so great for planning ahead.

Take lots of notes and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
Everyone in the office and especially Dr. A goes above and beyond to know your name and your partner’s name and to respond to any questions promptly. She tries her best to make uncomfortable situations feel doable. She is positive but realistic.
Describe the protocols Obehi Asemota used in your cycles at Hope Fertility and their degree of success.
This was the first clinic where we felt like she planned our treatment cycle specifically for us. She helped us decide to pursue treatment for endometriosis before starting a cycle. She even referred us to a surgeon. She was the person we saw at every appointment (except for quick checks mid cycle), especially after pregnancy was achieved. She helped us decide on the best timing for a frozen embryo transfer based on bloodwork. She helped guide our decision to transfer two embryos after a biochemical miscarriage from a cycle at another clinic. She also helped us decide to use progesterone injections and estrogen patches based on my history with medications and outcomes.

Describe your experience with Hope Fertility.
Everyone is warm and friendly. They work hard to make uncomfortable situations feel achievable. From the financial consultation to a Celeste to every visit pre and post cycle we felt heard and cared for. They followed safely protocols but also allowed partners to attend some visits because they put the patient first. Everything is done in the same office by the same nurses and doctor. This was reassuring to me.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility.
The costs are comparable to other clinics in the area. Celeste is very knowledgeable and upfront about costs. She answers any questions and works hard to get as much covered by insurance as possible.
Describe Obehi Asemota's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Hope Fertility.
She will only present scientific data and give you all the choices. She makes sure you know the risks and does not sway your decision. We felt able to make an informed decision to transfer two embryos which resulted in one viable pregnancy. Other clinics did not give us that choice or take the time to present all options.
Dr A is initially very friendly. She explained the IVF process well at the first consultation...she cancelled one of my scheduled follow-up calls because she “didn’t think [I] needed it” the day after I went to the ER for a possible ectopic. She is not proactive in communicating next steps (whether immediate next steps or the overall plan). She refuses to let partners in for ultrasounds. She is the only doctor and runs two clinics. She seems to be way too busy to allow for the proper time and care to address each patient. I’ve seen her a couple of times for a couple of minutes except for my ER and FET.
[Hope Fertility] Strengths: smaller clinic, so you do tend to see the same staff. Organized with providing documentation (bloodwork requests, etc) through the portal. Generally get back to portal messages within 24/48 hours. Weaknesses: lack of compassion and warmth. Terrible at providing information up front. They only give you the very next step (eg. you need a blood draw tomorrow) and not the overall process. When I asked for the process to be listed in the portal, the response was aggressive and I felt like I was bothering them to want to know about my own care!
How was your experience with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
Dr A is initially very friendly. She explained the IVF process well at the first consultation. I transferred to her from an IUI-only clinic. My experience with Dr A compared to my previous clinic: portal messages were responded to within 24 hours but were constantly getting misunderstood (she responded with overt defensiveness on more than one occasion), she cancelled one of my scheduled follow-up calls because she “didn’t think [I] needed it” the day after I went to the ER for a possible ectopic. She is not proactive in communicating next steps (whether immediate next steps or the overall plan). She refuses to let partners in for ultrasounds.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
Expect to have limited communication with superficial responses to questions. Expect to have everything communicated via portal rather than phone call, even if a call would be 10x easier than 10 portal messages in a day.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
We chose this smaller practice in order to feel less like a number, but that hasn’t been the case. No staff remembers my name despite frequent appointments. Dr A has cancelled my follow up calls because she felt they were not needed. No real understanding of the human experience.
Describe the protocols Obehi Asemota used in your cycles at Hope Fertility and their degree of success.
Dr A batches her procedures. Meaning I had to take birth control for 2 weeks to get my cycle onto her schedule. Fully medicated FET. Bc for 2 weeks, Estradiol 3x daily, 81 mg baby aspirin daily, progesterone injections leading up to FET and for 8-14 weeks following.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Hope Fertility. (Assigned nurse: Neicey)
The staff at Hope varies wildly. The egg retrieval care coordinator (Nilsa) is great. Humane, friendly, organized. Gives the information up front so you don’t have to ask a billion questions.
The FET care coordinator/NP (Neicey) has no personality, no warmth, and gives limited info so I’m always having to follow up with additional questions.
The phlebotomist is contracted through a company and they are all AWFUL. Zero friendliness, and one put me in the emergency room after hitting a nerve and continuing the draw through extreme pain.
Front desk (Sarah) always seems to have a passive-aggressive vibe to her voice and choice of words. Not super warm, either.

Describe Obehi Asemota's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Hope Fertility.
Dr A said she rarely transfers multiple embryos due to risks. Only if untested and in certain age ranges.
What specific things went wrong at Hope Fertility?
Dr.A was wonderful with presenting us with all the options as two moms to be. We were able to do reciprocal ivf for our first son and ivf for our twin boys...Dr. A is not only a compassionate physician but an ally to the community...She always took time to check on us and make sure we understood everything. We are now again successfully pregnant with twin boys through ivf ( one egg transfer) and so thankful to her for our beautiful family!
Hope Fertility couldn’t have been any more welcoming to our family! Both my wife and I were evaluated and Dr. Asemota provided all options for us to create our family...The staff quickly responds to questions on the portal (even on weekends) and they provide you with a day by day calendar of medicines and protocols. Don’t wait, book your appointment now - even if you have had past failures with other doctors!

Dr.A was wonderful with presenting us with all the options as two moms to be. We were able to do reciprocal ivf for our first son and ivf for our twin boys.
Describe your experience with Hope Fertility.
Dr. A treats you like a person and not just a number. She ensures that the best plan is in place for success and she’s supportive throughout the entire process (retrieval, transfer, etc.). There is so much to know and learn when going through this very sensitive process. The staff quickly responds to questions on the portal (even on weekends) and they provide you with a day by day calendar of medicines and protocols. They were also accommodating for scheduling monitoring appointments.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility.
Compared to other offices that we visited during our initial stages of planning our family, Hope Fertility is significantly more affordable.
How competent was Hope Fertility at LGBTQ+ care?
Hope Fertility couldn’t have been any more welcoming to our family! Both my wife and I were evaluated and Dr. Asemota provided all options for us to create our family.
Describe your experience using 3rd party reproduction (donor eggs, donor sperm, or gestational carrier) at Hope Fertility.
It was super easy! California Cryo shipped directly to Hope Fertility.
Dr. Asemota was very knowledgeable, professional and warm. She was very upfront and realistic about treatment and cost. We were able to reach and communicate with her via a portal. She or the staff responded to us swiftly, even on weekends...She preferred a single transfer, however I advocated for a double transfer. Dr. A, thoroughly communicated the risks involved with a double transfer, and agreed to do so.
[Hope Fertility] Strengths: amazing, caring and knowledgeable staff. The process prior to the retrievable really set the bat high. Weaknesses: I didn’t feel as prioritized after the retrieval as I did prior to it...Dr. Asemota and her staff were very personable and informative. I was assigned a care partner (a nurse), in which I was able to message them at any time and they usually responded within a few hours. I felt very cared for.

Get comfortable with communicating via a messaging portal. I enjoyed it because I am comfortable with that level of communication, however I can understand if some patients preferred to communicate verbally.

I don’t recall the specific rationales for treatment, however I do know that they were explained prior to the treatment.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Hope Fertility. (Assigned nurse: Nelsa and Neicey )
My first coordinator (Nelsa) was amazing. She coordinated the treatment prior to the embryo transfer. She was very communicative, patient and knowledgeable.
My second coordinator, Neicey (after transfer), was not as amazing as Nelsa, however she was still very knowledgeable and caring.
Describe your experience with Hope Fertility.
Strengths: amazing, caring and knowledgeable staff. The process prior to the retrievable really set the bat high.
Weaknesses: I didn’t feel as prioritized after the retrieval as I did prior to it.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility.
My health insurance covered the majority of the cost. The only thing we were responsible for was the double transfer fee (not covered by insurance). That price was $4,500.
Describe Obehi Asemota's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Hope Fertility.
She preferred a single transfer, however I advocated for a double transfer. Dr. A, thoroughly communicated the risks involved with a double transfer, and agreed to do so.
During my retrieval cycle I saw her [Dr. Obehi Asemota] twice. Once for a monitoring appointment and again at my retrieval. She’s very nice and personable but didn’t introduce the person shadowing her and what that person’s role was. What we discussed during my consult wasn’t what happened. She told me we’d freeze on day 3 if it looked like my embryos wouldn’t make it, that didn’t happen. My embryos were frozen on days 5 and 6. The calendar she showed me wasn’t the one I received.
I love that Dr. A is the only doctor [at Hope Fertility] but that’s also a drawback as she doesn’t have much time for patients. My care was mostly done by nurses. The office is a bit small and when they try to cu me everyone around the same time it gets pretty crowded especially when others bring spouses or friends to monitoring appointments. Seating is limited as well as parking...There’s a lot of miscommunication, inconsistencies, lack of communication, and information hidden. The staff doesn’t seem to communicate around each other well.

Write everything she says. Ask to record the consult. Ask her to recap everything in an email. Keep a running list of questions. Ask her to meet the financial team, what her processes are for post retrieval and post transfer. Ask her if anyone will follow up with you.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
It was a bit in the middle. I specifically transferred to see Dr. A. I saw her at my consult when we discussed my plan and calendar, one during my monitoring, and at my egg retrieval. The support staff never introduced themselves when coming to do ultrasounds. When I asked those names I got weird looks like I should know who they are.
Describe the protocols Obehi Asemota used in your cycles at Hope Fertility and their degree of success.
The rational was never explained to me so I don’t know why I have the treatment plan I do. I felt we could’ve been more aggressive, but I never got a chance to speak with her about it. .
Describe your experience with your nurse at Hope Fertility. (Assigned nurse: Nilsa)
Firstly, I do y know many of the staff as they never introduced themselves and didn’t seem to want to tell me their names. Nilsa, my nurse coordinator was easy to reach and was very personable until after my retrieval. I could barely reach her. We set a date and time to talk by phone to discuss my concerns and she never called. I had to call the office and speak to someone else. To date, I haven’t heard from Nilsa even though I’m told to speak with her about my next cycle.
I can’t send portal messages directly to her. It only allows messages to staff or front desk.
The nicest person is the phlebotomist, she has the best personality and is really sweet.
The other staff seem to hurry people in and out.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Hope Fertility.
There’s a lot of miscommunication, inconsistencies, lack of communication, and information hidden. The staff doesn’t seem to communicate around each other well. The embryologist comes off as rude in messages and doesn’t answer any questions instead telling me to talk to the doctor, who the staff say I need and appointment to speak with but won’t set one.
Everything was semi-smooth until after transfer. After the transfer is when it went downhill. I tried to schedule my next retrieval but they claim they need proof my insurance paid the claims. My insurance has never heard of a clinic doing this and I have progyny insurance.
Dr Obehi was very caring, warm and up front about my options to freeze my eggs. She gave me her honest opinion while allowing me the space to take some time and think through my options. Even when I I still was fully sure about moving forward she offered that I at least do the baseline testing to see where I am. After the results came back and everything looked good I was assured that this was the time to freeze my eggs. She presented me with the full expectations of the timing, schedules and drugs which eased my mind...
Monitoring appointments [at Hope Fertility] were pretty seemless; bloodwork, urine, ultrasound. You’re pretty much in and out very quickly 30-40 mins...Nilsa was AMAZING! She was patient, thorough and persistent when it came to my drugs not coming on time. One clinic failed to deliver my order not once but twice. She personally called and gave them the business in a professional way but I was able to receive them the next day and still meet my expected timeline. Also on the day of retrieval she could sense I was very nervous and offered to hold my hand until I drifted asleep...

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
I would say be prepared to know what you want first as an outcome and take in the information and suggestions. You will also need to carve out time for the appointments so having a flexible work schedule is important
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
Dr. Asemota and her staff were extremely personable and empathetic at all times. The initial appointment was more of a conversation between friends with the insertion of medical suggestions based on my goals in fertility.
Describe the protocols Obehi Asemota used in your cycles at Hope Fertility and their degree of success.
Dr Asemota assessed that since I have not been on birth control in over a decade, that it would be best to start with a low dose birth control to prepare my body for the hormone treatments thereafter. It worked as I had very minimal side effects throughout the full course of medications

Ok Nilsa was AMAZING! She was patient, thorough and persistent when it came to my drugs not coming on time. One clinic failed to deliver my order not once but twice. She personally called and gave them the business in a professional way but I was able to receive them the next day and still meet my expected timeline. Also on the day of retrieval she could sense I was very nervous and offered to hold my hand until I drifted asleep. I’m so thankful for her kindness and support through such an emotional journey.
Describe your experience with Hope Fertility.

Describe Obehi Asemota's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Hope Fertility.
[Dr. Asemota] makes you feel as if you’re her only patient. During my first IUI procedure I was so nervous. She calmed me down by talking to me about my love of plants & before I knew it the procedure was over. When the 2 rounds of IUI were not successful she met with my husband & I and showed empathy. She assisted us in planning for our next steps, which are IVF...[she] makes sure that you have a full understanding & answers any questions you might have. She is the most personable Dr. I have ever had.
At Hope Fertility you feel like family! This is a boutique clinic so there is only one doctor. However, you never have long waits in the waiting room and it is never difficult to get an appointment. When you walk in the staff knows you by name and are always pleasant. I have never had any issues with the staff including [Dr. Asemota]...The nurses are always available by message in the patient portal and by phone. They are compassionate, professional, & always display a great deal of patience.

Describe Obehi Asemota's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Hope Fertility.
I appreciated my doctor letting me know that she was willing to do a multiple embryo transfer if I wanted to but any pregnancy that’s multiple is a little risky...Dr. A is extremely compassionate for every single person who walks into her office. She’s so open and helps you understand every single process you or your partner will be going through...
All of the staff at Hope is truly incredible, the patient coordinator and she is extremely informative and extremely helpful...This clinic is amazing. Dr. A is extremely compassionate for every single person who walks into her office. She’s so open and helps you understand every single process you or your partner will be going through. One piece of advice I’d give a patient is “be hopeful” I know it’s so hard when woman struggle with infertility. It’s hard to keep the hope alive after being let down so many times.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
I love Dr. A’s facility just because of how small and intimate it is. I feel like going to such a big hospital people tend to look at you just as a number but with Dr. A, literally every staff member knows me on a first name basis. It feels like such a tight knit family when I walk into the door.
Describe the protocols Obehi Asemota used in your cycles at Hope Fertility and their degree of success.
I originally did an IUI with Dr. A, it was my third IUI but my first with her. Insurance denied my request to do IVF and they said another IUI cycle had to be done before IVF. So we did that and unfortunately it failed. We then moved onto IVF and right now I’m in the middle of that cycle. I am scheduled for an FET on April 18th if all goes well.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility.
My out of pocket cost is a little over 2,000 dollars because I did have insurance. Unfortunately insurance doesn’t cover everything. The 2,000 is the procedure alone. That doesn’t count the millions of meds I had to pay for out of pocket because I hadn’t hit my deductible yet or insurance just wasn’t covering that specific medicine.

I feel like she [Dr. Asemota] has great potentials, but her clinic was just new when I went...I specifically remember them doing a salin ultrasound and were not and don't have all the equipment to even take pictures, Obehi just wrote note down and send me to a specialist to removed pyllops. Which I feel like that I was being charge for things they were not able to perform correctly...The environment is nice and cozy, I just honestly think I went when it was too new....

How was your experience with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
I feel like she has great potentials, but her clinic was just new when I went and I remember always hear them state "we thriving" but now that I realized it it was that there were afloat on the money coming in. I specifically remember them doing a salin ultrasound and were not and don't have all the equipment to even take pictures, Obehi just wrote note down and send me to a specialist to removed pyllops. Which I feel like that I was being charge for things they were not able to perform correctly.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
I will say do you research and try to have some type of knoweledge of IVF or of whatever route you go. This will allow you to be able to advocate for yourself and ask the right questions.Aldo they will try to convince you that they are one of the cheapest but it's not true, search around. I can say they gave me a discount on my second retrevail after I negotiated.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
The clinic had just open and therefore, they where just trying to "thrive" as they would say. I remember on of the NO being so rude where my husband had to ask for a new one. It was my first ever retrieval and I didn't even know what they were checking for in the ultrasound until like after my 4th monitor appointment and the dr came in to the room and said oh your eggs are looking good. I had no Idea that my follicles is what we were watching to grow, lol.

Describe your experience with your nurse at Hope Fertility. (Assigned nurse: Dunlap, Lajuinese)
She was the second one because the first one, who name was Sutton, Kristy, was not friendly at all. It was like a chore to ask her any question regarding my care. Hope fertility is such a small clinic, so you just get bad vibes when you complain about the one out of two Nurse Practioner, they even share the same office.
Describe your experience with Hope Fertility.
At the time I started they didn't have all the equipment hooked up, but I'm sure all that is together now, I mean the lab wasn't even completed when I first started, so I feel like I was just tagging along. The environment is nice and cozy, I just honestly think I went when it was too new. they went through a couple of front desk people in my time with them. So Celeste, which was awesome, we're doing more than one job sometimes. I learned and got more of my questions answered from Celeste and she was the office manager.

One time they gave me instructions to take my trigger and the amount she listed and the Vals were not correct I couldn't get an on call nurse, so I literally got in touch with the Dr on Instagram, which was too late when wmshe replied. I had already google and prayed that I did the trigger correctly.
Dr Asemota cares for her patients as though they are her family and she provides direct, compassionate, competent care...She spoke with the pharmacist and made arrangements that they would not close until I arrived...I have never even heard of a physician being that engaged towards your needs but SHE is ALL IN!...you could have your labs drawn in her clinic or at an outside clinic. The process was very easy, smooth, and understandable
This clinic [Hope Fertility] is phenomenal! They are efficient yet compassionate, directed yet patient, and absolutely empathetic. I truly appreciate that they are a one stop shop for everything you need in your process and they are well attuned to what eachother is doing....They [nurses] all work as a team and Dr Asemota leads that team with grace and competence. The world talks about nurses and physicians as patient advocates. I truly see Dr Asemota as the advocate for my family...even though I do not have the entire family born just yet. She gave me confidence in her and myself, a realistic viewpoint, and treated me as though nothing was more important than me and the family I so long for.
I have referred every friend I have (and acquaintance) that seeks consultation or more to her - both in state and out of state. She is just that good and her care is just that necessary. I trust her with my family and I believe you should trust her with yours as well.

Describe the protocols Obehi Asemota used in your cycles at Hope Fertility and their degree of success.
I do not remember my specific protocols but I do remember that I took a specific regimen based on labs and obtained labs essentially once or twice a week thereafter to titrate the medications appropriately. This was made very easy because you could have your labs drawn in her clinic or at an outside clinic.
The process was very easy, smooth, and understandable.
I will share one thing specifically. I needed an induction dose of something (sorry, don't remember the name of the med) but it needed to be compounded I believe. I went to a pharmacy to pick it up and the pharmacy alerted me that 1) they do not make this medication and 2) the place that does is 45min away and they close in 30min. Dr Asemota was on it! She spoke with the pharmacist and made arrangements that they would not close until I arrived 67 minutes later (bad traffic!). I have never even heard of a physician being that engaged towards your needs but SHE is ALL IN!

I did a 2nd try with IVF and was not successful . I do not believe it was because of any lack of care. Just more about my DOR. My husband and I decided for our own personal reasons to not try again. Had we decided to do so we would have used Dr. Asemota again totally!

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
Dr. A always came across as relaxed with a warm demeanor! She remembered details of my care that gave me confidence in her attention to me as a patient.
Describe the protocols Obehi Asemota used in your cycles at Hope Fertility and their degree of success.
Because of my age (42) we did IVF right away. I became pregnant on my first cycle. Had my baby successfully. I did a 2nd try with IVF and was not successful . I do not believe it was because of any lack of care. Just more about my DOR. My husband and I decided for our own personal reasons to not try again. Had we decided to do so we would have used Dr. Asemota again totally!
Describe your experience with Hope Fertility.
Both times I saw Dr. Asemota she was at a different clinic from now. The first time I thought her supporting staff was great. The 2nd time I felt they were slightly less attentive to details but nothing alarming.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility.
[Dr. Obehi Asemota] was always kind, compassionate, honest, truthful, and warm hearted...never felt rushed or like I had limited time with her...I could message in the portal and get a quick answer as well...antagonist mini-stim egg retrival with both oral and injectable meds...frozen embryo transfer with a medicated cycle
Being a queer couple we knew we wanted to be at a clinic that was inclusive, accepting, respectful, and transparant. We found all of that at Hope Fertility...small size and personal care feeling...staff is very friendly and kind. I never had a problem getting ahold of them with questions
How was your experience with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
Dr A was always kind, compassionate, honest, truthful, and warm hearted. I always felt like I had the time to speak and she answered appropriately. I never felt rushed or like I had limited time with her. If I didn't get all my questions answered I could message in the portal and get a quick answer as well.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
Hope Fertility is a relatively small clinic compared to others in Atlanta. While this gives you very personalized care, sometimes this can meant that there is a lot of patients trying to use a smaller system. Wait times to get things scheduled can be a challenge, especially if you need after work hours. Your care coordinator will be the best person to reach out to with scheduling and questions.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
Dr A made my wife and I feel like important patients and that she had our best interest in mind. Dr A always gave us the real truths, even when hard, and we always felt like we could trust her in what the next steps should be. We never once felt othered by being a queer couple and wanting to grow our family in a unique way.
Describe the protocols Obehi Asemota used in your cycles at Hope Fertility and their degree of success.
My wife and I did two medicated rounds of IUI (letrozole, trigger shot, and bloodwork and ultrasound monitoring), then antagonist mini-stim egg retrival with both oral and injectable meds, then a freeze all cycle, and a frozen embryo transfer with a medicated cycle with estrogen and progesterone- pills, patches, and injections.
How competent was Obehi Asemota at LGBTQ+ care?
My wife and I did multiple rounds of fertility treatments at Hope, the last of which ended in a successful ongoing pregnancy. Being a queer couple we knew we wanted to be at a clinic that was inclusive, accepting, respectful, and transparant. We found all of that at Hope Fertility. From our first appointment with Dr A discussing all of the options for treatments being that we both are women, to the procedures themselves, and ultrasounds after we found out we were pregnant, Dr A made my wife and I feel like important patients and that she had our best interest in mind. I would highly recommend Hope Fertility to any queer couple in the Atlanta area looking for compassionate and honest fertility care.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Hope Fertility. (Assigned nurse: Nilsa)
The care coordinators handle everything at Hope from scheduling, medication ordering, relaying info from Dr A and more. The care coordinators were always easily accessible via the portal and gave quick response times.
Describe your experience with Hope Fertility.
Strengths of Hope would be their small size and personal care feeling. The staff is very friendly and kind. I never had a problem getting ahold of them with questions. I had all the information and medication schedule uploaded into my portal so I could see it at anytime.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility.
My insurance covered everything except my co-pays and co-insurance. I never had any issues.
Describe Obehi Asemota's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Hope Fertility.
Given my age of 31 years old with no other fertility issues besides being queer, Dr A strongly suggested only one embryo transferred at a time due to the risk of multiples. My wife and I agreed that we only wanted to do one embryo at a time to have the best chance of success with the least risks
[Dr. Obehi Asemota's] demeanor was extremely pleasant and she never made us feel rushed, or unheard...all her practices and equipment are very modernized and technologically up-to-date...Prep for egg retrieval: IVF GnRH Antagonist Protocol...Trigger - 80 IU lupron (trigger shot) and 2500 IU HCG .5 mg
[Hope Fertility] is very strong in almost all facets...patient care, embryologist technique (handling of embryos) and overall technical competency....slightly lacking was the conduct of the financial personnel; their communication wasn't the best...nursing staff were extremely pleasant...always receptive to our questions, providing us with all the answers we needed
How was your experience with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
Dr. Asemota (or Dr. A as everyone so affectionately calls her in the office) always greeted me and my wife with a smile and asked how we were doing. Her demeanor was extremely pleasant and she never made us feel rushed, or unheard. She always ensured that all our questions were answered and always provided detailed explanations of any and all processes and protocols that would involve me or my wife. My wife always felt comfortable with her during her private appointments and trusted her expertise. Additionally, all her practices and equipment are very modernized and technologically up-to-date.
My wife had to undergo 3 embryonic transfers and although our first two did not successfully implant, Dr. A was extremely compassionate and we always huddled up to discuss what may have happened. The good news was that all biomarkers and other biological metrics that correlate with successful transfers were present during the transfers, so (here comes the bad news) the negative outcomes may have simply come down to the probability that those particular transfers "just didn't work".
However, after those first 2 unsuccessful transfers, Dr. A was not simply content with leaving everything to chance and went back to the drawing board. The 3 of us had an extensive discussion about alternative IVF protocols that may be more natural and she proposed one that she had past success with.
Sure enough, it worked! Of course, we cannot be sure if it was solely attributed to the change in protocol or if the probabilities swung in our favor after 3 attempted transfers, but we do know that the protocol did not hurt our chances and we would definitely stick to it for any potential future transfers.
My wife is currently knocking on the door of being 10 weeks pregnant and we couldn't be happier!
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
Remember that nothing in IVF is 100% certain, whether positive or negative. There is always a chance things will work in your favor, and likewise, there is a chance things will not, and there isn't always a clearcut explanation for the outcome; that's the God/spiritual component of the process. Dr. Asemota will always have your best interest in mind, and even if you are going through a rough streak (subpar egg retrieval numbers or unsuccessful FETs), trust the process and know that you are in some of the best hands available for your circumstance.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
Dr. Asemota always greeted me and my wife with a smile and asked how we were doing. Her demeanor was extremely pleasant and she never made us feel rushed, or unheard. She always ensured that all our questions were answered and always provided detailed explanations of any and all processes and protocols that would involve me or my wife. Her personnel were equally as compassionate and pleasant, so she certainly led by example. My wife always felt comfortable with her during her private appointments and trusted her expertise.
Describe the protocols Obehi Asemota used in your cycles at Hope Fertility and their degree of success.
Prep for egg retrieval: IVF GnRH Antagonist Protocol
- Based on my wife's blood work and other readouts, this was Dr. A's recommended protocol (presumably her standard protocol for generally healthy people)
Trigger - 80 IU lupron (trigger shot) and 2500 IU HCG
.5 mg Cabergoline once per day
Frozen embryo transfer #1 (Dr. A's standard IVF protocol):
81 mg aspirin
2 mg estrace (oral estrogen), 3x per day
.1 Estrogen patch every other day
50 mg progesterone in oil injections
16 mg medrol
Frozen embryo transfer #2 (removed estrogen patch as it was suspected to induce a tiny uterine polyp during the first transfer cycle)
81 mg aspirin
2 mg estrace (oral estrogen), 3x per day
50 mg progesterone in oil injections
16 mg medrol
Frozen embryo transfer #3 (Alternative, more natural IVF protocol):
81 mg aspirin
250 mcg ovidrel (one time right before LH peaks)
50 mg progesterone in oil injections
16 mg medrol
Transfer 3 was a more natural method, allowing my wife's body to prep for ovulation and then Dr. A leapt into action right before ovulation occurred, implementing IVF to take advantage of the window of endometrial receptivity, which worked.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Hope Fertility. (Assigned nurse: Neicey Sutton)
The nursing staff were extremely pleasant and our primary nurse/care coordinator was always receptive to our questions, providing us with all the answers we needed. Everyone clearly followed Dr. A's lead.
Describe your experience with Hope Fertility.
This clinic is very strong in almost all facets, especially when it comes to patient care, embryologist technique (handling of embryos) and overall technical competency. If there is anything that was slightly lacking was the conduct of the financial personnel; their communication wasn't the best. A prime example would be after getting our positive pregnancy from our 3rd transfer, we were not informed in a timely manner from the finance team that we would have to pay for obstetrician services out of pocket if we stayed with them, and as a result we ended up accepting some of those services at a subsequent visit before that was communicated. HOWEVER, Dr. A swooped in to save us and covered those services for free, as a courtesy; she also let us know that she addressed the finance team to make improvements to that process. This was a top-notch example of Dr. A's integrity.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility.
Costs will vary depending on health insurance type or if you're paying out of pocket. We had most of our medical costs for IVF covered, including many of the medicines, but I'm aware of the FET costing $4500 out of pocket, and for the post-transfer OB services as a package (2 ultrasounds and 2 bloodwork visits) cost about $800. I think a visit for a blood work-up in preparation for a transfer was about 500 dollars through labcorp (out-of-pocket).
Describe Obehi Asemota's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Hope Fertility.
Dr. A's go-to was for single embryo transfers but she was open to a multiple embryo transfer in more pressing circumstances or if we really desired to try it.

[Dr. Obehi Asemota] made sure to explain everything thoroughly. Any questions my husband and myself had, she had an answer...GnRH Antagonist Protocol...was told to do only one embryo which would be safest...appreciated her explanation and care for why it’d be best to listen and do one embryo

Dr. A will help you achieve your dreams but not always it’s possible. Go in with an open mind and be ready for the challenges your body may face.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
I was always called by name and treated as if they knew me. It was amazing being a patient at Hope.
Describe the protocols Obehi Asemota used in your cycles at Hope Fertility and their degree of success.
I believe we did a GnRH Antagonist Protocol. I started off with
81MG Aspirin Once Every Day Take 1 tablet daily
300 IU Gonal-F in P.M. Inject 300 units subq (in the belly) between 6-9pm
150 IU Menopur in P.M. Inject 150 units subq (in the belly) between 6-9pm. Then we increased the menopur to 375 IU Menopur in P.M. I believe I started birth control for the following month for about 21 days after my period (can’t remember if after or before) then started 75 MG P4 Oil in A.M. Inject 1.5ml IM (butt muscle) AT EXACTLY 11:00AM.
81 MG Aspirin Once Every Day take one 81mg daily
2 MG Estrace Three Times A day Take one in the morning, afternoon and evening
0.1 Estrogen patch Every Other Day apply one patch to belly and change every other day.
Now that I have achieved pregnancy, I have started a weaning schedule to slowly finish my progesterone injection and Estrace pills.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Hope Fertility. (Assigned nurse: Kristina Lam & Mariana Pineiro)
The nurses that I had for each part of my ivf journey were both attentive. They would answer all my questions if I was concerned or needed explanation of anything. Both Kristina and Mariana were very helpful and kind.
Describe your experience with Hope Fertility.
I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible care and support I received at Hope Fertility (Alpharetta). This was my first fertility clinic I was recommended by a friend so glad, I didn’t look elsewhere. First IVF treatment and was successful. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed and understood by the entire staff. The doctors and nurses were not only highly knowledgeable but also genuinely compassionate, making every step of the journey as smooth and stress-free as possible. They called me by name and that just made it extra special, knowing I wasn’t just another patient. At Hope they truly show how much they care and are always attentive to their messages through the portal.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility.
I had insurance at my workplace so cost was very affordable for me.
Describe Obehi Asemota's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Hope Fertility.
I was told to do only one embryo which would be safest. If we were to do two embryos she explained it could’ve been risks. I appreciated her explanation and care for why it’d be best to listen and do one embryo which we did.
[Dr. Obehi Asemota] addressed all of my concerns and made sure my partner and I felt informed and comfortable with the process...was extremely cautious and paid close attention to my body through extra monitoring and visits as needed...two rounds of egg retrievals... assured me we could try again with a different protocol...Dr. A recommended a single transfer due to my age and the risks involved
[Hope Fertility] was always friendly...felt welcomed and supported...staff was routing for me, on good days and bad they never lost hope...careful and kind in their communication...they made every effort to be accommodating and make the process as convenient as possible. Although there were times I sensed they might be overwhelmed themselves with such a busy clinic, they always made time for me
How was your experience with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
Dr. A has the demeanor and professionalism you would hope for and expect with the most important medical treatment of your life. She addressed all of my concerns and made sure my partner and I felt informed and comfortable with the process. To be fair, IVF is a journey and your body/cycle and course of meds will vary. Dr. A was extremely cautious and paid close attention to my body through extra monitoring and visits as needed. When we needed to change course, she was aware and attuned to respond in a way that provided successful results.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
I would tell any patient to be as informed as possible before starting your IVF journey. While Dr. A will provide you with lots of information, it is best to have a general understanding of the process, your cycle, and your body so that you can communicate accordingly. Be sure to have your questions prepared in advance.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
Dr. A took the time to communicate results and expectations personally. She was very clear and patient while remaining determined and diligent.
Describe the protocols Obehi Asemota used in your cycles at Hope Fertility and their degree of success.
I did two rounds of egg retrievals. The first cycle we were able to retrieve 7 eggs, 5 embryos were fertilized, and none of them survived to Day 5. I was devastated, but Dr. A called me personally and reassured me with a different course of meds we could try again. She also suggested that I immediately begin taking supplements to improve my egg quality: CoQ10 and DHEA25. I took the supplements and a month to let myself recovery physically and emotionally before trying again.
The second egg retrieval was a success. 7 eggs retrieved, 5 embryos fertilized and 3 made it to day 5 to be frozen. Those 3 embryos were genetically tested and all three were healthy.
I attempted my first FET 3 months later with a standard estrogen/progesterone protocol. My lining was too thin for a transfer and the cycle was canceled. Dr. A assured me we could try again with a different protocol.
During my second attempt at a FET, the doses of Estrogen and Progesterone were increased, adding Estrogen patches. My lining was more than sufficient and the FET performed. The pregnancy test came back "inconclusive" with very low HCG levels very low. I was retested two days later and it was determined to be a "chemical pregnancy."
Dr. A again was determined and reassuring. She suggested another protocol all together. 3 months later I began the Letrozole protocol. Overall, my body felt better and more ready. My lining was 8mm, and the FET performed successfully. 9 days later I received a positive pregnancy test.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Hope Fertility.
The staff was always friendly, professional and most of all, hopeful.
Describe your experience with Hope Fertility.
The Alpharetta clinic was always friendly. I genuinely felt welcomed and supported. The staff was routing for me, on good days and bad they never lost hope. Although there were times I sensed they might be overwhelmed themselves with such a busy clinic, they always made time for me.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility.
Hope Fertility accepted my Progyny fertility insurance coverage.
Describe Obehi Asemota's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Hope Fertility.
Although I was open to a multiple embryo transfer, Dr. A recommended a single transfer due to my age and the risks involved. Being that it took multiple attempts for a successful pregnancy, I'm grateful I only transferred one embryo at a time.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Hope Fertility.
There was only one miscommunication with a medication cycle that confused my days/dates. With a quick call to the office, it was remedied the same day.
[Dr. Obehi Asemota] had a great balance of professionalism and warmth...calm demeanor was especially helpful during the stress and anxiety...Embryology Transfer- Estrogen patch, Estridiol, Aspirin, Progesterone, Medrol, Azithromycin Blood testing for pregnancy
[At Hope Fertility] some of the communication as far as dealing practical details, such as determining insurance coverage, was less than smooth...Everybody I encountered during this process was patient and polite, even when we were working through problems, and I fully trusted the medical staff and always felt safe in their care
How was your experience with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
Dr. A had a great balance of professionalism and warmth. Her calm demeanor was especially helpful during the stress and anxiety of the IVF process. I always trusted her advice and felt very safe during all my procedures and visits.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
For anybody considering IVF, please note that it is a complicated and kind of sucky process by nature. I fully believe that Hope did everything they possibly could to help my partner and I make it through this in one piece, and I am nothing but grateful. Just know that this journey will be long (we first contacted Hope in September 2023), expensive (sometimes even with insurance), exhausting (months of meds means months of side effects) and stressful (most of this process is completely out of your control).
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility?
It was great to consistently see the same staff, and when I had a miscarriage scare, I was brought in within an hour for an ultrasound and reassurance that everything was okay.
Describe the protocols Obehi Asemota used in your cycles at Hope Fertility and their degree of success.
Baseline testing and transfer of medical records
Financial consultation- discussion of insurance
Several rounds of bloodwork and ultrasounds throughout the process
Hysteroscopy- Assess the uterus
Birth control to coordinate cycle for interventions
Egg retrieval- Follistin, Low Dose Hcg, Aspirin, Metformin, Cetrotide, Ganirelix, Lupron, Cabergoline, Azithromycin, Letrozole
Embryology
Transfer- Estrogen patch, Estridiol, Aspirin, Progesterone, Medrol, Azithromycin
Blood testing for pregnancy
Post-transfer- Weaning of transfer meds
Describe your experience with Hope Fertility.
If I could offer some constructive feedback, I would say that some of the communication as far as dealing practical details, such as determining insurance coverage, was less than smooth. While using the portal as the main source of communication was often convenient, more complicated conversations with multiple back and forth responses were difficult to have in a timely manner and sometimes the written responses were unclear or answered incompletely, dragging the process out even further.
Hope helps you make the best of your individual situation, and while I’m not out of the woods yet, I’m slowly starting to feel more excited than worried for this baby. Everybody I encountered during this process was patient and polite, even when we were working through problems, and I fully trusted the medical staff and always felt safe in their care. If we ever decide to try for another pregnancy, I would come right back to Hope, and I recommend Hope Fertility for anybody struggling with infertility.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility.
My insurance covered most of the procedure costs after I met my deductible but did not cover medication. I am still working with insurance to determine if PGT-A will be covered.
Describe Obehi Asemota's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Hope Fertility.
Dr. A recommended a single embryo transfer for me.

When I would have appointments, the lobby was not too full. I was called back individually and was able to speak with the doctor candidly. She is very caring and involved throughout the entries process.
Describe the protocols Obehi Asemota used in your cycles at Hope Fertility and their degree of success.
Dr Asemota was our 3rd and FINAL Fertility Doctor. In my experience, Dr. Asemota employed a controlled ovarian stimulation protocol, Regular monitoring through ultrasounds and blood tests were conducted to assess follicular growth.
Once the follicles reach an optimal size, a trigger shot, was administered to induce ovulation. Following the egg retrieval, ICSI was performed successfully, the blastocysts grew and were prepared to be frozen at day 5. Two embryos were transferred. This resulted in positive pregnancy test. Unfortunately, we did not have embryos tested the first round and both fetuses had irregular chromosomes. One died at 9 weeks, spontaneously, and a few weeks later, the pregnancy was then terminated.
In our final attempt, my husband and I opted for donor eggs. We purchased 6. We used ICSI and PGTA testing and had 3 “normal” resulting embryos. I went through the transfer protocol for 1 embryo using progesterone and estradiol, etc and this also resulted in a positive pregnancy which I am currently 18 weeks pregnant and baby is measuring “perfectly” the OB doctor says.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Hope Fertility. (Assigned nurse: Lajuinese “Neicey” Dunlap)
I had the pleasure of working with a remarkable nurse coordinator, Neicey, during my fertility treatment journey, and I can't emphasize enough how invaluable her support was. From the very beginning, she exuded warmth and empathy, instantly putting me at ease during a time filled with uncertainties and emotions.
Her guidance and expertise were evident in every interaction. She was not only highly knowledgeable about the entire process but also had a unique ability to explain complex medical details in a clear, understandable manner. This made me feel informed and empowered throughout my treatment.
What truly set her apart, however, was her genuine concern for my well-being. She listened attentively to my concerns, offering reassurance and practical advice when needed. Her calming presence provided a sense of comfort during moments of doubt, and I always felt heard and supported.
In the midst of a challenging and often overwhelming journey, having such a compassionate and knowledgeable nurse coordinator by my side was an absolute blessing. I am grateful for Neicey’s unwavering support and the crucial role she played in making this process as smooth and positive as possible. Her caring nature and expertise are truly exceptional, and I am confident that she brings comfort and confidence to every patient she encounters.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Obehi Asemota at Hope Fertility.
As self pay patient, IVF protocol was $10,500. Embryo only Transfer of donor egg was $4500. HSG test was about $1200. Bloodwork was generally included in the cost unless there was a “special” test that needed to be done. Semen analysis was about $300
Describe Obehi Asemota's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Hope Fertility.
Dr Asemota asked if I wanted to transfer 2 or 1 embryos in our first attempt with transfer with her. Because we did not elect to have PGTA testing, it was explained to us that there may be a chance that one embryo would not survive, and this may increase our chances of a successful pregnancy for 1 baby. On our second attempt with tested embryos. She also asked if we wanted to elect to have two embryos transferred, but emphasized the risks of a twin pregnancy. When I expressed my concerns, she gave me plenty of information, took note of my concerns and recommended a single embryo transfer, which we opted for.
She [Dr. Obehi Asemota] listens, good bedside manner, doesn't beat around the bush, and skilled. She would always find my ovaries that loved to hide always when the nurses found it them difficult to find. I particularly like her cos I feel like she's personable...In both cycles, Antagonist protocol was used. My dose was upped in the 2nd cycle after 1st was cancelled due to low follicular response at day 9 of stims. 2nd cycle led to retrieval of 12 mature eggs. 6 blasts, 4Pgta normal embryos
They [nursing staff at Hope Fertility] were quick to update information on portal, Phone calls aren't their best suit but portal very effective...Quick visits, Quality care. They also give you financial aid information if needed. I was self pay so I had some visits where I was requested to pay before service and wasnt warned ahead of time. Besides that I love the care I received.
