I came from a clinic where the provider had told me I should focus on a surrogate without trying IUI or IVF first. I have endometriosis and my bowels are attached to my uterus. My fallopian tubes has been badly twisted and linked due to veins adhered to my fallopian tubes, but they are open. My previous doctor had said my left ovary was no good. Dr. Tobler made it sound like it was a non-issue. He explained it wasn’t ideal and would be tricky to retrieve eggs if needed, but that it was not hopeless. All I needed was hope when I saw Dr. Tobler. I was so physically exhausted from what had happened to my body with the endo. The pain, the vomiting, the flares, the ER visits, the excision surgery, the excision surgery not yielding very successful results. Mentally I was exhausted from almost 3 years of trying to conceive - from telling my husband month after month it was a no and then going from mentally hoping for a pregnancy to then mentally prepping for an endo cycle and the extreme 96 hours of pain that was going to onset. Kyle finally made me feel hope again.

Go see him. Don’t wait. I’d been referred to multiple clinics and had so many people tell me ICRM was the way to go. The first clinic I went to had a shorter wait time, so I went with them. I regret it.

Kyle explained that letrozole was better for endo patients. Clomid can exacerbate endo. I came in for an ultrasound on CD3. Started the letrozole. I returned for an ultrasound on CD10? I had a vigorous response to the letrozole and had 3 mature follicles with 2 more very close behind and almost 4 more not much further off. They had me trigger that day. We did IUI on CD11. I am on day 11 of my two week wait. I believe I am pregnant. I had a very faint line this morning. I am at high risk for ectopic pregnancy, though, because of the condition of my fallopian tubes, so I am cautiously optimistic. We’ll see what happens. Kyle was very clear that ectopic pregnancy was a risk. He also was very clear that we shouldn’t waste time with more than 2-3 cycles of IUI before moving to IVF if we didn’t have success.

I haven’t received a bill yet. I have fertility coverage up to $15000 so I likely won’t receive a bill for this first round of IUI.

Dr. Tobler is open to multiple embryo transfer. He discourages it for a woman my age, but he said he would do it if it comes down to that and it’s what I want.

Dr. Tobler is calm, kind, compassionate, and intelligent. I trusted him to give me the best care and attention when I needed it and he did. He was able to answer my questions and I had a couple consultations even after our second round of IVF didn't work. When he told me that he was "thinking about us often," I believed him and it helped to heal my heart.

Ask all the questions, he'll answer them.

We used Clomid and Ovidrel for the trigger shot for the IUI cycles, but were unsuccessful. We used all the typical IVF drugs- Menopur, gonalF, Omnitrope etc. My first round of IVF was very unsuccessful, I did not respond to the stims as I should have. My second round was much better, yielding 11 eggs. Seven of my eggs arrested within three days and the two that made it to blastocyst came back abnormal as did the two eggs from my first round of IVF. Unfortunately, we ultimately decided that my egg quality is not good even with having higher than average AMH levels. My official diagnosis remains unexplained.

About 25,000 for both IVF rounds. Around 600 for the IUI's.

Our experience was excellent. Due to primary male infertility we were unable to pursue IUI, and Dr. Tobler was honest regarding our chances with IVF. Our outcome closely aligned with his predictions. He was present for retrieval, transfer, saline sonograms, etc. any major appointments. He was easily accessible and I felt comfortable emailing with questions at any time. He would call or email back quickly. I am someone who really likes to explore every possible avenue before moving ahead, and after my first transfer failed Dr. Tobler was willing to try adjustments to my protocol and to perform additional testing. He thoroughly explained why he thought something was helpful or not helpful, great communication. I felt like part of a team in my own treatment which was very important to me, and I never once felt shut down. He is also very professional and compassionate.

If you’re curious about something, anything, don’t hesitate to ask. Dr. Tobler will not make you feel badly for asking, and he’ll provide you with an honest and thorough answer.

Retrieval: My basic fertility testing revealed no issues, and I was on the antagonist protocol. My injections were a lower dose, and I produced 11 eggs (10 mature). Dr. Tobler mentioned possibly increasing doses if I were to undergo another retrieval but the goal is no more than around 15 eggs. I was happy with this number. My husband does not produce much sperm, and numbers have varied between 10 to around 3 milllion total, 20ish% motility. For fertilization, we froze 2 vials of sperm just in case, but he did produce a sample with enough sperm on the day of retrieval and we used ZyMot for sperm separation. Dr. Tobler had not used ZyMot before but was willing to try it out. Studies are limited, so we don’t know for sure if this helped, but we had good results: 11 eggs>10 mature>8 fertilized normally>5 embryos>3 PGT-A normal. Transfer: Our first transfer was a standard fully medicated frozen embryo transfer protocol with progesterone in oil injections, estradiol injections and progesterone suppositories and assuming we fell into the standard need of 120 hours of progesterone prior to transfer. First transfer was a failure so we opted for additional testing: ERA, ReceptivaDX, EMMA/ALICE and some additional blood work to check for thyroid and blood clotting issues. We ultimately did 2 months of Lupron depot, added 10 days of vaginal probiotic, and added Lovenox. 2nd transfer has been successful.

Dr slater does her best to follow ethical guidelines. During consultation she tried to gather as much information as she can to provide the best outcome or treatment plan. I believe that she should provide emotional support for clients that goes through miscarriages or provide resources for grief groups.

Dr slater does t sugar coat anything and she tells you honestly good or bad.

I felt like both egg retrieval was similar in cost. I felt like frozen embryo transfer was similar in cost for all three of them. I saved a lot of money on my medication by using the good Rx, Maria suggested the good Rx for me

Dr slater allowed for 2 embryo transfer and currently I have to get written approval from my OBGYN to do 2 embryo transfer. My history, so far I always miscarry an embryo and become pregnant with one so I don’t agree with single embryo transfer. I know single embryo does work for some because my friend is pregnant with her single embryo transfer but I think it is a waste of money to do only one.

Dr. Tobler is down to earth, easy to talk to, incredibly smart, upbeat, and motivated to make fertility dreams come true. He doesn't give up, and he spends time researching, understanding, and figuring out answers/resolutions. After telling Dr. Tobler my history (a natural intrauterine miscarriage, 2 ruptured ectopic pregnancies, and 3 failed FETs from an IVF cycle at Seattle Reproductive Medicine) I thought he was going to go straight to the IVF statistics (which is what a lot of Doctors do). Instead, Dr. Tobler listened and discussed what he would do differently after taking time to understand what they did and didn't do.

IVF with PGTA protocol 5 Day Frozen embryo transfer - 81 MG Aspirin, 2 mL PIO every morning, 0.15mL Estradiol injection every Tuesday/Friday, 40 MG Lovenox once daily, 8 MG Methylprednisolone one daily during the 5 days leading up to the transfer.

Dr. Tobler's preference was to transfer one embryo; however, I asked politely if I could please transfer two, and he did.

Dr Maas was absolutely amazing. He was very understanding, helpful, compassionate, professional, personable and willing to do whatever it took to help us build our family. He did an excellent job walking me through and answering any questions that I had. He explained things very well and was willing to find out answers to questions I had if he didn’t know. He called and checked in on me several times especially after some complications with the transfer.

Write down all your questions before going in.

I don’t really remember everything we used and did but he did an excellent job. I needed to not do estrogen and do a bit of a more natural cycle and he was willing to help with all of that. He was able to figure out exactly what we should do that resulted in a pregnancy with a negative embryo.

We spent about $30,000 and nothing was able to be covered by the insurance we had. We did an egg retrieval, sperm donation, and embryo transfer as well as the genetic testing and they developed a specialized probe to determine blood type on the embryos. We were lucky enough to receive some help with medications. To keep our embryos frozen we pay $650 a year

With my situation I respected his decision to use one embryo and due to my current placenta previa I am very glad that we did a single embryo transfer. He took into account my small stature, limited embryos and I am grateful he would only do one.

We appreciated that Dr. Slater gave us facts & statistics right up front. We are numbers people so we appreciated that. She had thoroughly reviewed our information prior to each visit & was ready for us. During every visit she was extremely professional yet kind, caring, compassionate & included us both. After the initial consult I was totally impressed by a follow-up email which covered what we discussed plus what the next steps were & who was responsible for what. Her (pertinent) staff were included in on this email as well so everyone knew the plan & their role. Things happened quickly after that, which we appreciated & I was pregnant 3 months after that consult with a successful first transfer and we have several more embryos to use later. That was very different from our previous doctor where we spent over a year with no success. We also live several hours away so we genuinely appreciated that she allowed us to do the labs & ultrasounds locally which she followed closely. She is top notch and the absolute best doctor we've ever met & I've met a lot being an RN myself! She's the full package in that she's not only highly skilled & gets you positive results but she has the "human factor" too in that she's kind, compassionate, patient, & doesn't rush you or treat you like a number. It feels like she's invested in this process with you & truly wants you to be successful!

I would tell any prospective patient that Dr. Slater is worth the amount of time & miles you have to travel to see her because she is the best! If you want the best chance for success here is a doctor you can put your faith & trust in!

The medication protocol for transfer preparation & post transfer at this clinic was quite different from our previous clinic in that we did Estrogen injections here (vs oral), progesterone suppositories were a new addition for us as were a few days of Medrol pills leading up to transfer, & a Valium on the day of transfer. Since we were doing IM progesterone & estrogen it felt like a lot of shots but looking back I feel this treatment protocol prepped my body a lot better & helped ensure a successful transfer & pregnancy.

It was us around $35,000 for IVF but we were pregnant within 3 months on the first try & have additional embryos in storage for use later.

My doctor didn't necessarily discuss this with us, however, we were pretty set on a single embryo transfer so we never asked her about doing more than one. We felt confident transferring one given the statistics she gave us.

I really felt confident in her knowledge and ability. I was grateful for her advice and her willingness to work with us and out unique situation. I would have loved to felt like she checked in with us in person a little more, but I know it's a very busy job. I was always impressed that she seems to work all hours of the day. She sometimes called me after hours to help make a plan and that meant the world to me. She's so knowledgeable and I completely trust her.

Be prepared to make good relationships with the ivf coordinator because you don't work much with the actual Doctor, and take care of your mental and emotional health!

The ivf cycles only last a few weeks. We started on follistem and menopur injections every night at 8pm. It was initially a lower dose and then after five days we switched to 150 follistem and two powder vials per one saline of menopur. We also add one full syringe injection of ganirelix each night also at 8pm. 36 hours before egg retrieval I was directed to take 75 follistem and two powder vials of menopur around 4:30pm and skip ganirelix. Then to take a full Lupron trigger shot exactly at 6:30pm. After that, no meds until after the retrieval. I haven't started transfer meds yet.

It's hard to know specifically but I would say the ivf cycle costs around $27,000 plus meds and transfer costs. We did two cycles, icsi, pgt-a and pgt-m, and will go through transfer plus storing additional embryos. I expect to be closer to $50,000 when we're all said and done.

She strongly recommends that we only transfer one embryo to prevent high risk pregnancy unless I have a good reason for transferring multiples. So far, I feel really good about that but I haven't gone through transfer yet.

Dr. Maas was extremely knowledgeable and friendly during our visits. He was thorough in explaining what to expect, risks, and what would be reasonable expectations from our treatment. He has been responsive to our concerns, and our input on how we would like to proceed.

Come to the first meeting prepared with any questions you have. There is a lot discussed during your new patient visit, it’s easy to become overwhelmed with information and lose sight of questions you may have had.

We were treated for unexplained infertility. Thus far we have completed one cycle of IUI. We began with Clomid. My follicles did not quite reach the desired point so Menopur was added to my treatment. After IUI was completed, we had a positive test that resulted in and ectopic pregnancy. Methotrexate was administered. We are planning to another IUI cycle in the near future.

All costs are completely out of pocket. Ultrasounds (approximately 5 during IUI cycle) $220 each HSG $460 Menopur (x4) $75 per vial IUI approx $350 Methotrexate $38 Additional medications were from Freedom Fertility Pharmacy or local pharmacy and varied in price.

We had an amazing experience in general with Kevin Maas. We won a grant for half off an IVF cycle at another clinic but we chose to go with dr maas as he was just a better fit for us. He explained things in great detail. He wasn’t afraid to tell us about things that he didn’t think would work. He wanted to try the least invasive options first before going straight to IVF. He had great bedside manners. The only downfall was not seeing him every visit to address any questions or concerns we had (but the nurses did an amazing job at this!)

Just make sure to ask a lot of questions so you can know ALL of your options.

We tried IUI first with dr maas. I had 2 mature eggs with the help of clomid. When we went in for the transfer, dr maas recommended that we don’t go through with it since my husband’s sperm count from the sample he gave was very low. We made a personal decision and continued with the transfer. This resulted in a negative pregnancy test. We decided to move to IVF. We had to do ICSI and decided to do PGS as well. I got 13 eggs retrieved. Only 3 of those eggs became embryos on day 5. One of the embryos couldn’t result in pregnancy from the pgs testing results. We did a frozen transfer that resulted in pregnancy but miscarried at 6 weeks. I had another cycle and then decided to transfer our other embryo while taking baby aspirin and progesterone shots and suppositories. This resulted in a healthy pregnancy with our baby girl delivered at 40 weeks.

There was a fee for the IVF procedure, a $500 anesthesia fee that you paid, a fee for the PGS, ICSI, and for the frozen embryo transfers. All in all, we paid $30,000 for all of that.

Dr. Slater is great, she explains everything very thoroughly , I enjoy that she is blunt because it nice to know things upfront, but she also is caring, everything that was done was explained to my spouse and she gave us the best recommendations for the best outcome.

I have no advice I was please with the care I was given.

I used menopur, gonal F, ganirelix & lupron(Trigger) for my stimulations medicine. to prepare for my transfer i started IM Injections of Progesterone (1ML) and Estradiol ( Tuesday and Fridays .15ML) i was doing lab work and she did adjust my Estradiol dose to .2ML & towards the end my progesterone was a little low after my 2nd BETA test (14), so she adjusted that dose to 2ML. I also used vaginal progesterone suppositories at night 50mg.

Dr. Slater did not express a strong preference on the elective amount of embryo transfer.

Dr. Maas was very open and honest in providing feedback about our fertility chances but did it with a very warm bedside manner. Even though our chances were very slim, he kept a very upbeat, positive attitude and said that he would do everything he could to help us have a baby.

Come with a list of your questions and concerns because he is great at talking through them and answering them thoroughly but in a way that's still easily understood.

We did one round of IVF through Dr. Maas. I started on injectable Menopur, and he was diligent in watching my follicle growth. When the follicles were not responding to the medication as quickly as we hoped, he created a plan to slowly increase the Menopur dosage to see what the lowest level needed was for follicle growth without increasing chances of ovarian hyperstimulation.

I did an IVF trial through a medical study, so there were no costs associated with my care.

My husband and I love Dr. Slater. My husband suffers from male factor infertility and she knew exactly how to approach our difficult situation on our first consultation. Our first consultation with her really put my mind at ease as I could tell by her candid conversations with my husband and me that she tried to get to know us before even meeting us and had a game plan already mapped out for us. I’ve never had a doctor do that before! It felt great to finally be seen by medical professional who actually chose to “see” us for what we were and the struggles we have endured. She was enthusiastic about our chances of conceiving and gave us hope, while also being honest and truthful with what her and her staff could provide for us. We’re 8 months into our IVF journey and I can still say that I would not choose another provider to trust with my care.

Make sure you send her all of your medical records of any previous infertility or endocrinology tests you’ve had ahead of time. That will help her out at the first consultation. Also, do not expect her to be at all of your visits. I’ve only seen her at our 2 consultations.

She choose for me to do IUI right away as my husband and I have been trying to conceive up to that point with timed intercourse. She put me on 50 mg of Clomid which made me hyper-ovulate my first cycle of hormones. I couldn’t do my IUI that month as I had 12 mature follicles. I had to be put on birth control right away so I wouldn’t have a chance of having multiples and to try to combat possible ovarian cysts. The next three cycles I was put on Femara which resulted in three negative IUI’s November-January. I felt like her putting me on Femara after failing on clomid was wise as I only had two mature follicles instead of 12 when I was on clomid. I totally agreed with her decision to have me do IUI first before trying IVF. I think her rationale of trying the least invasive treatment first was wise. If she would have tried to have me do IVF first, I would have disagreed with her and chosen to do IUI, but luckily she had us do IUI first.

The costs are very comparable to the National average of fertility treatments.

I haven’t gotten to this part in my treatment yet.

Cristin was wonderful from the beginning. She took her time during our consult and shared every option for treatment, the risks, the costs, and the timeline. She is very honest yet hopeful. We have had an incredible experience.

Be ready with your questions. She is open to answering any and all questions so make sure you have them ready so you feel confident during treatment.

I have PCOS and endometriosis and so I did an antogonist protocol and triggered with HCG because we were planning to do a fresh transfer. However I developed severe OHSS and our fresh transfer was cancelled. The day I started treatment for my frozen cycle COVID19 lockdown started and all treatment was cancelled until further notice.

After all was said and done we paid about $15,000 for one retrival and transfer costs.

Cristin has been open from The beginning that transferred one embryo is better but has been open to my requests to transfer two, especially since we did not do PGS testing. They have been open about risks and very clear on what they recommend.

Helpful, described things in detail. Said if blood tests came back normal I wouldn’t hear from them but he personally called me to let me know it came back fine. Then when I needed to have a dye test he also wanted to do a water ultrasound but decided we could achieve the same results with 1 test and save me some money. It was nice knowing he was considering that as well so that I would be paying for an extra test.

I’m still starting, we were set to start my first round of clomid when everything shut down. He warned me before hand this could happen and made sure it could be impacted. Know that he’s going to tell you what’s going to happen and not pull punches, but he’s going to keep you in mind when he’s doing treatment plans. Make sure to lay it all out and tell him everything, if your constrained financially, tell him, he will do his best to help with his treatment recommendations that will also fit your needs.

We will be starting clomid and then doing IUI for a few cycles, 3-6, then we will look into IVF if IUI doesn’t work.

So far the initial office visit, the blood testing and the dye ultrasound.

I always felt comfortable and very open with Dr Maas. He is very relatable because he has gone through treatment himself with his wife. He understands my chromosome issue and is going to find whatever way he can to help my family grow.

Be ready to have a notepad! He is full of knowledge and ready to help you.

First transfer of donor embryo just the normal cycle with progesterone and estradiol. 2nd transfer very similar just tweaked the meds a bit. Since then I have done and ERA and now have a new protocol. I will be taking prednisone as it was recommended (I declined on my own for the first 2 transfers and that could have been the issue). My body is possibly rejecting the embryo and treating it as a foreign body.

I have done donor fees, ultrasound fees, blood draw fees, transfer fees. Last year my husband and I spent close to 40k with them. Also, Dr Maas has been very good and helping out where he can and cutting some of his own fees.

He does prefer single embryo transfer, although after my first failed I did request 2 embryos the 2nd transfer. He allowed me to do this and made sure I understood the risks.

Dr. Maas took the time to set realistic expectations and walked us through every step of our journey. We have done multiple medicated cycles, three failed IVF cycles were my body refused to produce eggs no matter what medication we threw at it. Collectively Dr. Mass, my husband and I to explore the possibility of using a donor egg. Dr. Maas explained the complete process and encouraged us to take the time we need as well as reach out to him with any additional questions or concerns.

He is always willing to listen to your concerns and he always wants you to be an active part of your treatment plan. Collectively you will come up with a game plan and then he will do his best to make sure it succeeds

4 Medicated cycle- starting slow to see if we could kick start my ovaries in to producing follicles. Follicles grew but resulted in no pregnancy 3 IVF egg retrievals- one failed to produce any follicles, one I ovulated on my own and the other produce three embryos that failed to make it to day 6

Walking into a fertility clinic full of fear and the thought that starting a family might not be in my future was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done. I was a basket case, Dr Maas made me feel at ease instantly! He went over my test results as well as my husbands and laid out the steps that needed to be taken to fulfill our dreams of starting a family. He used terms I could understand as the infertility world was very new to me. He shared personal experiences that made me feel I wasn’t the only human in the world struggling with infertility. It’s a lot more common than people realize it’s just not talked about. He gave me hope when I felt so lost. His plan of care worked amazingly well for me and I now have a beautiful baby boy, I’m also expecting a second and I have him to thank for giving me my family. I will be forever grateful and there aren’t enough words to describe how he changed my life in the best way possible.

Trust the process and ask questions if you don’t understand something.

I don’t recall the names of the drugs but I did stims for 9 days in preparation for my egg retrieval. Almost three months later I had a frozen embryo transfer supported by progesterone in oil, progesterone suppositories and estradiol. I weaned off medication at 10 or 11 weeks I don’t recall. My second frozen embryo transfer was supported with the same drugs as well as methylprednolosone for maybe 2 weeks.

I did not have infertility coverage on my insurance. I believe the clinic fees for my 1st cycle were $15,000

During my first transfer 1 embryo was suggested I agreed with Dr Maas’ recommendation. During my second I was given the option, I opted for 2 and Dr Maas fully supported my decision.

Dr. Slater states the facts in terms a patient can understand, she takes her time explaining your options. She is caring and wants the best for her patient. I was very hesitant during the first exam, and she calm me down and explained each step as she was doing it and was gentle during the exam.

She gives blunt, honest answers, and real facts. She wants what is best, so she says what is best and doesn't try to beat around the bush.

I'm just starting my protocol, but in the initial meeting she set a approximate timeline on how the cycle would look, and we have still been on track with her timeline.

Approximately 25000$ is what we were quoted so far.

Dr. Slater explained most options and also frozen embryos and PGS testing. She did recommend what she thought was our best option given our age, condition, etc.

Dr. Maas continues to prove time and time again that his compassion and empathy for this process are values when he is treating patients. Dr. Maas always is open and available to any questions and concerns we might have. His conservative yet deliberate approach to treatment is reassuring and comforting in an otherwise scary and uncomfortable experience.

Be open and ask as many questions as you have. Know that his direction and opinion are there for a reason.

IVF cycle: Agonist with menopur, gonal-f, and Lupron. Produced 16 eggs, 10 embryos, 6 survived and 4 PGS tested embryos. FET: progesterone and estradiol valerate injections. Resulted in ectopic pregnancy.

Treatment costs were significant. The clinic worked with us to provide a discount when a research protocol didn’t work in our favor.

Dr. Maas is an advocate for single embryo transfer and his rationale is supported with data and the comment “I would hate to tell my children their delays are due to a decision I made.” He is very persuasive in this regard.

She’s smart, approachable, and treats patients kindly. She talks fast sometimes, like hard to understand, but she is respectful and explains things if asked. My only complaint is that I had previously gone to a naturopath and had some hormone tests done (saliva) and she didn’t acknowledge them because they weren’t blood and so they didn’t make as much sense to her traditional medical experience. I trust her with the treatments she’s given and I appreciate her successful experience.

Don’t be afraid to ask about what to expect next. She is good about answering questions.

I had an HSG done before starting and at some point, a water ultrasound. Cycle 1) medicated cycle with letrozole and a trigger shot while monitoring follicle growth. Food follicle sizes, no pregnancy Cycle 2) same thing, except I think I needed an increased dose of letrozole and gonal-f (I think) with a trigger shot, timed intercourse, got pregnant, miscarried at 9 weeks Cycle 3) same as the first, timed intercourse, chemical pregnancy. Thyroid panel and RPL blood work-up done. I had high anti-TPO, nothing more. Cycle 4) timed intercourse again (it seemed to be working for us). Letrozole with a trigger shot was used, no pregnancy. My husband and I requested to do a round of IVF. Dr. Slater agreed. She recommended a frozen transfer as I would probably be a high egg producer, we opted for the pgs testing anyway, so we started with the BCP, (oh and I started taking levothyroxine because she retested my thyroid at some point and it was low) stims included menopur, gonal-f, and and a lupron trigger (don’t know if I’m remembering all) Egg retrieval yielded 30 eggs, 15 fertilized (no ICSI), 10 biopsies at day 5, and 6 were chromasomally normal. We’re now waiting to transfer in a few days. Medications to prepare for the transfer include: low dose aspirin, estradiol valerate and progesterone in oil, and medrol.

IVF/PGS freeze all cycle: 10,728 Pgs biopsy and shipping: 100.00 Anesthesia: 550.00 Meds and the pgs testing were separate. Transfer: 2,970 Plus meds. I don’t remember the costs for the medicated cycles.

She was ok with us transferring two, but provided statistics of likelihood of multiples and the average gestational period for twins and triplets. It was our decision to transfer one or two. We decided on one and are waiting for our first transfer

Dr. Maas is extremely thorough. He goes over every detail and every scenario. I had a LOT of questions and he answered them all. He was absolutely amazing. He was earnest and honest and made me feel so comfortable, like we were two friends chatting. He even had power points, and as a visual learner I found this very helpful! He was open and honest about his own fertility journey with his wife, and it made him seem even more understanding. Knowing that I was new to the area, he even gave me a list of restaurants to try! I didn't feel rushed at all, it was a great appointment.

I had 4 failed IUI's under my belt when I went to Dr. Maas. I thought for sure he would recommend going straight to IVF, which he did not. I appreciated the fact that I didn't feel pushed into anything. He said he thought we could push my body further with injectable medications. We used Gonal-F, and I did end up with five follicles. My IUI still failed, but I did learn that I respond fairly well to meds, so that was good to know moving forward.

They have you pay as you go along. With our other clinic, you had to pay a flat fee before the IUI. Here you pay after every appointment.

Dr. Slater has been comprehensive in explanations. She has always answered questions and addressed conserns and been good about checking in and adjusting treatment as we go. As a Single women going through treatment she has done all she can to help and at the same time helped to keep costs down to the best of her ability. I’ve felt comfortable with her from the beginning. She as well has always been open and honest about treatment options and given recommendations but not pushed me into a treatment before I was ready.

Ask questions and if you don’t understand, ask for clarification.

Most of my protocols have included clomid, trigger and IUI. I have reacted well to the clomid so there wasn’t any reason to use high doses. But given my age, a blocked tube, a high number of failed IUIs and several failed pregnancies, my current option to continue is IVF. Which I’m in the beginning stages of starting.

Dr. Maas was very receptive to hearing my concerns and admitted that some of the issues were related to him not having me come in to see him when changing from natural to medicated IUI cycles. He has been candid and compassionate and is making changes in the clinic processes

I underwent 2 IUIs naturally with my cycle. Then was given Clomid 100mg for the next 2 IUIs. My 5th IUI was with Letrozole 5mg. I was not educated about trigger injections and how they can give you the best possible chance. The staff assumed I had been given information and every time they asked me if I had a trigger injection I said I was given one it was documented that i adamantly refused them. I found out later I was supposed to have baseline US prior to starting Clomid and Letrozole and was never told to do so. The IUI was mismanaged by the clinic staff. All IUIs resulted in negative HCG tests.

IUIs $285 US was $225 IVF $15k (this is coat for single cycle) and $3000 for FET. Will be proceeding with IVF this month through Attain 2 cycle program. Consultations $350

Dr Maas surprised me on our first visit. My husband and I walked in with worry, trying to understand and hoped to get answers about my body and its unwillingness to retain a pregnancy. Other obgyn's and Family MD's tell you, "Make whoopie more often" to address infertility issues. Not Dr Maas. During our consultation he reviewed our history, listened to our story of our loss ending in a stillborn. He watch me cry...and consoled me and my husband. He was very caring and empathetic to our situation. If I didn't understand something, Dr. Maas literally drew a picture of my uterus on a piece of paper so I could understand the need for surgery for removing a septum. I felt at ease and hopeful but realistic each time I left his doctors office.

Its okay to share your experience and trust him. He isn't just a doctor knowing how to correct some infertility issues, he is human and knows we are too. He will do his best and give his most honest option in a realistic way. He smiles too!

First we had to address the reason for my miscarriages and stillborn. We did water ultrasounds and dye ultrasounds to see what the shape of my uterus was. Then diagnosed with a Septum in my uterus. That prevented any egg or embryo to attach to that section of my uterus to receive full nutrition during pregnancy. Despite it being not so great news, I understood the why. Next remove that septum with surgery. After the surgery we received color photos of before/during/after shots of my interior uterus. Very informative and interesting. We had to get my uterus up to par to carry a child. So then proceeded with IUI because it was the least expensive option for our needs. Each month with Clomid and other injections (not covered by insurance) to help with my Egg growth. Turned out because of my age, we learned my eggs are not of the best quality. Next step - Egg Donor. We hoped we could afford an egg donor so I could feel at ease knowing there is still part of my husband in our child but the costs there are not covered by insurance. Since we had done three IUI's, Egg Donor and IVF for both the Donor and Myself would be required. I am currently on a waitlist for a donated Egg from those who've completed their families. Overall this is a difficult and stressful process but it was easier knowing I could reach out to Dr Maas for guidance on what is next. He is devoted to helping us build our family as we move forward.

Our health insurance covered everything but the Medications and Dr. Maas portion of Surgery Expenses. Other than that we were good with what we received. Moving forward with a more extensive procedure like IVF, it might be more only due to our Insurance.
