This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.
For more information please see our FAQs.
Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.
Dr Cohen is the most caring physician I have worked with, including all specialties...His level of detail, and desire to help you makes him the best candidate for any fertility needs. He truly cares about his patients...We went to ICSI IVF due to MFI. We had failed IUI's, which was expected and basically to appease insurance. IVF was a success, 5 embryos total, 1 transferred for my first pregnancy resulting in a live birth, and he performed an FET for my second (one embryo) resulting in a current pregnancy.
[The nurses at Institute for Human Reproduction] Forgot to call in my meds. Was Olgas [nurse] fault...Olga is difficult to work with. The coordinator was new, so I understood there were some difficulties there, but Olga was truly the unpleasant, difficult person in the office...We went to ICSI IVF due to MFI. I have no idea what's going on at the clinic. I'm given instructions to take medications during evaluation cycles. I'm given instructions to take medications I don't have. When I inquired about this a few days later I was told, oops, sorry, now it's too late, you'll need to wait until next month or come back in for another ultrasound. I have no idea what is going on at that office, what the steps are.

[Dr. Mary] Wood-Molo was on time to our first consultation...it was remote...Before any new procedure we would have a consultation and go over treatment together...was available to chat about concerns and she was so hopeful...Would only transfer one embryo during a cycle. Did not want to increase the risks of multiple births
[Institute for Human Reproduction] doesn’t make you seem like a number...walk you through any procedure and make sure you’re comfortable...nursing staff has been on the patient side of this so it’s comforting to know you aren’t alone. How was your experience with Ilan Tur-Kaspa at Institute for Human Reproduction (Pinnacle Network Clinic)?
I am writing this review as my six week old baby boy is napping in his bassinet. My fertility journey started off at a large and prestigious fertility clinic here in Chicago. I did one round of IVF at the fertility clinic on a maximum stimulation protocol. My hopes were dashed when the cycle failed miserably. I did not know where to go from there. The cycle was so unsuccessful that the doctor started talking about egg donors. I was crushed. I then heard about Dr. Tur Kaspa and decided to switch to his fertility clinic. He’s very detailed, tries to make you feel comfortable. Will answer your questions. I’m a black woman and have been weary of medical bias and racism. The office is diverse and I never felt uncomfortable or made to feel different. In addition, I was pursuing motherhood on my own (using a sperm donor), and Dr. Tur Kaspa was very supportive of that. I felt like my treatment plan was very individualized and ended up being a success. I had 2 egg freezing cycles then came back and had 2FET’s. First was chemical, second resulted in a pregnancy.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Ilan Tur-Kaspa at Institute for Human Reproduction (Pinnacle Network Clinic)?
You can trust him to have your best interest in mind. Feel free to ask as many questions as you have. I would text the nurses if I had questions and they would follow-up with him as needed. I will say, when you do your labs or ultrasound, he will not be there but he reviews all the results and determines your next steps. So while there were times where I wasn’t interacting with him directly, I felt like he was still involved in my treatment plan.

Hard to remember but there were cases where my dosages were adjusted because my lining wasn’t progressing as desired. I did end up having 2 successful egg retrievals at age 33 that resulted in 15 eggs frozen in each cycle, for a total of 30. Funny enough, that was the goal! My first FET was a chemical and the second successful transfer did have a tweak in the dosage. All this to say that the treatment is very dynamic and individualized based on progress and prior results (if applicable).

How was your experience with Ilan Tur-Kaspa at Institute for Human Reproduction (Pinnacle Network Clinic)?
After two years of unsuccessful attempts at getting pregnant at a large Chicago fertility clinic, I sought out opinions from 3 of the top fertility doctors in Chicago with Dr Tur Kaspa being one of them. All the doctors pointed out the mistakes that had been made in my prior treatments. I asked each doctor about the protocol they would use for me. Dr Tur Kaspa was the only one out of the three other doctors that I saw that offered at different viewpoint and protocol. Since I had been doing the same thing for 2 years, I felt it was time to try a new approach and therefore selected Dr. Tur Kaspa. As I write this today, I am 9 weeks pregnant at age 44 for the first time in my life. I couldn't be more grateful to Dr Tur Kaspa for taking a personal interest in my case. Everything transpired exactly as he indicated. He did a ERA test before my transfer which showed I needed an extra day of progesterone. While this was not covered by my insurance, I feel like this test (which no one doctor mentioned) resulted in my successful implantation along with the protocol Dr. Tur Kaspa prescribed. I found Dr Tur Kaspa to be compassionate and caring doctor who above all took a personal interest in me as a patient.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Ilan Tur-Kaspa at Institute for Human Reproduction (Pinnacle Network Clinic)?

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Ilan Tur-Kaspa at Institute for Human Reproduction (Pinnacle Network Clinic)?
I came to Dr Tur Kaspa after two years at a large fertility clinic. My experience here was completely different. Everyone at the clinic knew who I was. I would generally be in and out of monitoring in <15 minutes.
Describe the protocols Ilan Tur-Kaspa used in your cycles at Institute for Human Reproduction (Pinnacle Network Clinic) and their degree of success.
Because I have a high ovarian reserve, Dr Tur Kaspa used low dosage of follistum . His goal was to retrieve 15-20 higher quality eggs per cycle. My prior doctor retrieved 30+ eggs in each cycle which resulted in ovarian hyperstimulation. Dr. Tur Kaspa did a ERA test before my transfer to check my lining. This test showed I needed an extra day of progesterone before transfer.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Institute for Human Reproduction (Pinnacle Network Clinic).
While I love Dr. Tur Kaspa, the disorganization of the nurses is an issue here. Everyday you deal with a different nurse and I was twice given incorrect instructions. Because I am an experienced patient, I was able to catch their mistakes. Prior to IVF, my spouse was supposed to abstain no more than few days. However the nurses never communicated abstinence instructions prior to either IVF cycle. We only found out what was supposed to happen as we read the forms on the day of the IVF. My husband had abstained for longer than the recommended period which caused a lot of unnecessary stress for us at a time when we are trying to do everything possible to maximize our chances of getting pregnant. My advice is to ask the nurses a lot of questions, call them and don't rely on their voicemails. Double, triple check everything they tell you.
Describe your experience with Institute for Human Reproduction (Pinnacle Network Clinic).
Overall being a small clinic you get personal attention. I was a demanding patient given some of the errors by the nurses and they ultimately took care of me. You have to stay on top of them and follow up for things like insurance. I also received incorrect financial letters which took some follow up to get fixed. Overall I was able to live with all this given the success I had with Dr. Tur Kaspa

Depending upon your insurance, your insurance coverage will cover a portion of the cost and the rest was out of pocket or you have the option to take a loan option available to pay for the remaining cost. Sorry, I don't have the specifics as it was done a while ago. But they will let you know step by step what needs to be done before doing the cycle or procedure.
Dr Tur-Kaspa is a great man. His bedside manner was extraordinary and he was always kind. He has a great sense of humor and I appreciated that at such a difficult, stressful time. We met with three doctors and went with him first. Both my husband and I left our first consult and felt like he was the best fit. What we didn't know, being first time infertility patients, was that you rarely see the doctor. While it's extremely important to like the doctor, it's equally if not more important to like the nursing staff
The Oak Brook coordinator [at Institute for Human Reproduction] was horrible!! We LOVED the doctor but rarely saw him, as in Any fertility center, however felt as though the coordinator was horrible. In such a delicate time you HAVE to treat patients with compassion and care, something she was unable to do...Mary was just plain rude, both clinics were old and dirty, and we didn't like having to go downtown for all procedures. I did speak to the doctor about Mary and it didn't seem that there were many options. Also all of my paperwork that I obtained when I left was handwritten notes. There was no portal or way to get results except through Mary

Describe your experience with your nurse at Institute for Human Reproduction (Pinnacle Network Clinic). (Assigned nurse: Mary )
She was horrible. She had a minimal personality and always seemed to be angry. We miscarried both cycles and her choice of words and lack of compassion is why we left. I get that this is a job to her, but each cycle and life that we lost was our life...... I was so incredibly disappointed that we were treated with such a disregard to any of our emotions

He [Dr. Cohen] was very blunt and explained things well, which I appreciate more. He was funny and made a tough conversation light ... He has a very blunt personality, but he tells you what you need to know and thoroughly explains in an appropriate manner. He explained when and where we needed to get tests done, gave us a complete schedule and options for future treatment.
Strength I was the only one in office [IHR] and taken in immediately. Weakness is office hours. I wish I had more print out in terms of maybe orders or personalized numbers for the nurse to call her and get in touch, but I was given an office number which she states she is at and I needed to call at least the day before my period to get my testing done otherwise I’d have to drive to Chicago which would be inconvenient for me and my periods are irregular and hard to discern when I can get done with only two short office days near me
