Dr. Couvaras was extremely detailed with the process and made it very easy to understand what we needed to expect. I had a deadline of when I could get testing done so that my insurance would cover majority of it and he had no hesitation to get things going. He made sure we got things going and answered all question. He was absolutely wonderful.

I would tell them to not hesitate and sharing your story and what you expect from the experience. He's a great listener and wants to make sure you understand everything and also gives you a realistic expectation.

We haven't had the opportunity to start treatment because we hit a financial snag with being able to be approved for IVF treatment. We started out being coved by my insurance until the beginning of the year came and benefits had reset. At that point my insurance was not going to cover the treatment. So, we had to take care of the rest on our own. Dr. Couvaras had a financial plan put together for us, but we were still having trouble getting financed and 401k wasn't an option for us. We are still waiting and trying to figure out other avenues to get the money to finish the treatment.

The cost was described to be about 8600 in the beginning. My insurance took care of the testing and medicine. A financial plan was broken down to us in the beginning and as time passed and testing, they told us what we may have to pay for depending on results of treatment. Overall the cost was up to about $14,000.

Be prepared to be wowed. He is the guru of Ivf in my experience / opinion

First strategy was to review previous labs and testing next was to order a barrage of labs and testing we tested for Epstein bar we tested for cytomegalovirus we tested for herpes six we tested for vitamin D‘s we tested for AMH we tested for so many other things to homocysteine we tested for as well. Hey put me on a cleanup schedule with supplements that I was able to afford an order off of Amazon with the help of his nursing staff and they were Coke you 10 PQQSODAGABATMG they were sub lingual B vitamins there was also metal folate there was also several others that I can’t remember right now I decided to follow the natural cycle of my period and would do 11 days of systems with HGH Menopur we would do use Cetrotide we would do ganirelix we would also do omnitrope an heparin with confirmation of pregnancy prior to transferred we would do an intro lipid transfusion as well as 1 possibly 2 more after confirming pregnancy

Being that I transferred double with a prior Re: I had an early loss of one and then resulted in a 25 weeks stillbirth so I wanted to get those chances back and potentially transfer a double again when I explain this to my RV he suggested we try single if we have a healthy euploid and I am healthy and we would decrease the risk being that a double transfer only increased pregnancy by about 5% but the risk of double pregnant double transfer would increase the risks involved with pregnancy and itself this could be preterm this could be so many other factors with multiple pregnancy and also depending on the amount of eggs that I have to even start with what I burn up my eggs and not have any for a second transfer if needed then I would have to re-Stearman collect all over again so the rest for me outweighed my wants and we’ve decided to go with a single euploid versus a double transfer

Dr. Couvaras is very knowledgeable when it comes to curent advancements in infertility treatment. He is also very cautious and meticulous not like other doctors who just repeat the same thing again and again hoping that the embryo will implant in the next try. He was very honest as well when he said that since all my results looked good, a frozen transfer should have worked. When it didn't, we proceeded with another egg retrieval and he suggested to do a fresh transfer, which I never did in my previous clinic. The fresh transfer was a success.

Don't be overwhelmed by all the information that Dr. Couvaras will share. He sometimes does feel a bit clinical, but he truly cares for his patients and will not let you go through a procedure until all the boxes are checked.

Blood work first to determine what needs to bw addressed. Enoxaparin for TPO antibodies. Levothyroxine to control TSH. Gonal-F, menopur to stimulate follicles. Microdose lupron to keep my follicles at about the same growth level. HGH to improve egg quality.

It was covered by my insurance so just $1350 which is my deductible.

Dr kavouris definitely speaks more medically than he does in layman's terms but only seems confused he had a good way of explaining it. He's very straightforward and to the point. Was very detailed in his questions starting from back to when I received my very first period.we were very surprised to have met with dr. Kavouras himself on our very first consultation and the amount of time that he spent with us was incredible. he really felt like he was trying to get to know our particular situation instead of just treating us like he would treat every other IVF patient.we feel he's very revolutionary and his approach to IVF and his understanding of endocrinology and the woman's body made us feel extremely comfortable. when trying to have a baby you want your IVF doctor to be compassionate and understanding of the struggle.this is not the type of doctor you want to go to that is not compassionate considering the type of medical issue this is.this type of treatment is very emotional and personal to each and every family and to have a doctor that understands that and truly cares makes a huge difference. And in the same respect you want a doctor that really knows his stuff. The amount of knowledge he had was great

Extremely reasonable compared to other doctors

Dr Couvaras is the most knowledgeable doctor I have ever met. He doesn't immediately jump to IVF, he is determined to find the underlying problem and fix our issue before wasting our time and finances. We enjoy each appointment we have with him, he's straightforward and hopeful, we can hear the hope in his voice that he has for us.

Give him your time. Dr Couvaras thinks outside of the box and runs any and all necessary tests to find the underlying problem as to why you're not conceiving naturally. He will not toss IUI/IVF your way if he believes there's a chance you will conceive naturally with his help.

Pirmella 1/35 vagionally cycle day 3 thru 10. Prenatal with DHA Vitamin D 20,000IU for 30 days then 15,000IU for 30 days then 5,000IU for 30 days L-Arginine 500mg Vitamin B6 50mg GABA 1800mg Folinic Acid 800mcg Acyclovir 800mg three times per day Heparin 20,000 IU (line 41) two times per day My growth hormone is under producing and he would like to try and correct naturally, my Vitamin D level was only okay, that he would like to increase, and my D-Dimer was very high. Before starting his plan he wants to see my clotting time regulated and has prescribed an antiviral to clear out any toxins that may be in my uterus.

We have not gotten that far in our process. Currently our insurance covers speciality visits with a copay. We will then pay out of pocket for medications and procedures.

Dr. Courvaras has a unique method that I appreciate and have learned so much about my body and the fertility process. He is very knowledgeable. He won’t do anything if it’s a waste of time. He wants to be successful just as much as the patient. He also performed two uterine fibroids surgeries for me. I have had three prior surgeries and his were by far the best. Also, the best thing about those surgeries was how excited the staff at the surgerical center was that he was performing the surgeries. That was cool and I thought it said a lot about him.

Be committed. Be positive. Take notes and ask lots of questions so that you feel a part of the process.

He used different supplements and perscriptions to address inflammation. Having been going there for a year and a half, I can’t say off the top of my head what exactly each one entailed but I do know that he explained everything and I trust him.

We agreed to proceed with IVF, the plan was to prepare the embryos and freeze them after. After couple of months past, it took us 7 months later to do the transfer. In the beginning I was skeptical about the process because I was wondering why was it taking so long for us to do the transfer. But, it was Dr. Couvaras professionalism and best of his knowledge that he would do his very best that if I wasn't giving him the best results when I was getting treatments then he would prolong the process because he told me that as long as I am not giving him the best results then he will continue to work on me and figure out what to do next. He stated that I would a plethora of medication and he even mentioned that my medication area should look like a elderly human countertop.😄He was right, I thought to myself. He knew exactly what he was doing. Because after 7-8 months later we were ready to do the transfer. Alot of emotions came to my mind which I believe that is a natural feeling. Dr. C gave his very best to work on me and knew exactly what to do. When it was time for my pregnancy results, I was crying out loud of joy. After weeks later my first ultrasounds went wonderful. I learned that Dr. C truly cherish what he does and gives it his best knowledge to work with his patients to give the best final results he looks forward to. I don't find a weakness on Dr. Couvaras because I've been to other places and doctors for treatments for IVF and IUI's and they were a waste of time and money. But, Dr. C gave his FIRST best shot and thankfully we are finally PREGNANT and extremely happy after 11 years of infertility.

Medication over the counter, ivf, testing, tranfer, ultrasound, co-pay, specially Medication, with insurance all together around 8,000- 9,000 or more because I am on blood thinners injection for the rest of my pregnancy until I am due.

What amazed me is that of all the eggs that were captured and only 1 single transfer reading 3BB was the best. Even though my egg quality was 25 eggs and 15 fertilize and 2 survived reading 3BB and 4CC. Dr. C investigated what he can do to keep the 3BB alive in me before doing the transfer. That's why it took 7-8 months to work on me.
