Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

Dr Bauer is such a warm and brilliant doctor...managed our expectations along the way while simultaneously keeping us optimistic...with every follow up visit, she kept me well informed on progress, what’s next, etc...ER #1 and #2 we used Gonal and Menopur. Toward the end we used cetrotide
[IVFMD - Jupiter] is a busy office and once you’re in the office, you have their undivided attention...If you have a question outside of your visit, the best way to communicate is on the app...Sheila, Racyne, Taylor, and Leslie are phenomenal and a great support system
How was your experience with Jessica Bauer at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic)?
Dr Bauer is such a warm and brilliant doctor. From the very beginning, I instantly felt connected to her. She is very up with modern medicine and developing approaches. She managed our expectations along the way while simultaneously keeping us optimistic. After my first egg retrieval, we only had one viable egg. Dr Bauer explained the pros and cons of continuing but highly encouraged a second retrieval. I didn’t want to do it but glad I did. She was supportive whatever route we chose but always helped us keep the right perspective. On transfer day, you could just feel the love from Dr Bauer and her clinic that they wanted it to work. And with every follow up visit, she kept me well informed on progress, what’s next, etc. I highly recommend Dr Bauer to anyone looking for a fertility doctor.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Jessica Bauer at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic)?
Trust Dr Bauer and stay off of the forums/websites. It’s very easy to get caught up in forums, internet results, etc. But every case is different and Dr Bauer personalizes every plan to the individual. Trust in her as your Doctor and follow her instructions to a T.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Jessica Bauer at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic)?
Dr Bauer took the time to get to know us. She was always so warm and welcoming. She always knew our case off the top of her head and was not buried in notes like some other doctors. She truly takes the time to get to know you, your journey, and support you along the way.
Describe the protocols Jessica Bauer used in your cycles at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic) and their degree of success.
ER #1 and #2 we used Gonal and Menopur. Toward the end we used cetrotide. We had about 20 eggs retrieved both times and 4 viable options in the end after ICSI and PGT testing.
Describe your experience with your nurse at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic). (Assigned nurse: Coordinator - Sheila. Nurses - Racyne, Taylor and Leslie. )
Sheila, Racyne, Taylor, and Leslie are phenomenal and a great support system. I didn’t realize going into it how much help I needed. But all of them kept me organized and on track. I always felt they had my best interest and advocated for me and my well being. Sheila would send me detailed notes every night of the stims cycles to remind me on the exact medication and dosage to take. She also took the time to prep me on what to expect, tips, and answer all of my questions for both the ER and FET.
Describe your experience with IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic).
This is a busy office and once you’re in the office, you have their undivided attention. If you have a question outside of your visit, the best way to communicate is on the app. Sometimes the response is immediate and others you might hear back next day. It’s not really a place you call into for immediate answers (but they do have an emergency line). Always check the app for updates. Strengths - this staff cares about you. They root for you along the way. You can feel it. Opportunities to improve - I think this is personal. For me, it’d be a way to call in directly vs using the app. But it all worked out.
Describe Jessica Bauer's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic).
Dr Bauer explained that it’s a lower risk to transfer one embryo and ultimately safer for me and the baby.

[Dr. Taylor] is incredibly knowledgable and has a wonderful bedside manner..Although we only see her a few times during the treatments, I feel like she is following along and keeping track of where we are and how we are doing...has pin pointed, as best as she is able, the possible fertility issues and came up with a plan for each one. My husband and I are on different medications and/or supplements to combat certain problems. We have also seen an additional specialist and [she] reached out to that specialist and strategized with them before coming to us with a plan of action
This clinic [at IVFMD] is beyond wonderful. Every person they employee is excellent...Everytime you call you speak with an actual person who gets you the answers you need on the spot. No voicemail boxes to leave a message with your question...After most of my appointments I get a call from a nurse following up to see how I feel or if I have any questions...we believe the pricing to be fair and they accept many insurance policies. All pricing is given to you upfront
How was your experience with Joelle Taylor at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic)?
My husband and I could not be happier with Dr. Taylor and her practice. She is incredibly knowledgable and has a wonderful bedside manner. She explains everything thoroughly and makes sure that you understand and feel good about the process. Although we only see her a few times during the treatments, I feel like she is following along and keeping track of where we are and how we are doing. She truly cares for her patients and I think that all of her patients feel that!

She spends as much time as needed with her patients and I have never felt like she is in a rush to see another patient. The time she has spent with me has been nothing but excellent.
Describe the protocols Joelle Taylor used in your cycles at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic) and their degree of success.
Currently undergoing my first round of IUI. The treatment strategy was created around our current infertility problems. Dr. Taylor has pin pointed, as best as she is able, the possible fertility issues and came up with a plan for each one. My husband and I are on different medications and/or supplements to combat certain problems. We have also seen an additional specialist and Dr. Taylor reached out to that specialist and strategized with them before coming to us with a plan of action. She has explained evrything thoroughly and made us feel very positive about our current course of treatment!
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic).
The nurses are are equally as amazing as Dr. Taylor. They are very knowledgeable and always make you feel safe and comfortable. After most of my appointments I get a call from a nurse following up to see how I feel or if I have any questions. This is AMAZING!!!! My normal experience with doctors offices is leaving a voicemail for a nurse and hearing back three days later if at all. Instead this office is following up with me! It is amazing.
Describe your experience with IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic).
This clinic is beyond wonderful. Every person they employee is excellent. Each employee really cares. Everytime you call you speak with an actual person who gets you the answers you need on the spot. No voicemail boxes to leave a message with your question but a live person who wants to help you. Their customer service is exceptional. I always feel good when I am there.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Joelle Taylor at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic).

Dr. McCarthy's bedside manner is exceptional...her specialized care and knowledge of your specific situation don't make you feel like just another number at all...she truly feels like a friend...She has this warmness to her and I feel like she truly does care about each and every one of her patients. When none of our embryos made it freeze, she was the one calling me with this news and offering comfort. When we had our follow up appointment to discuss what went wrong in our egg retrieval cycle, she was direct but gentle when sharing all our information.
Due to my diminished ovarian reserve, we did an aggressive protocol [at IVFMD South Florida Institute For Reproductive Medicine] in hopes of stimulating the microscopic follicles. Unfortunately, this didn't work. I started with 4 eggs at baseline and had 4 eggs retrieved...Carly [nurse] was amazing! During each out my monitoring appointments ahead of egg retrieval she was never in a rush to get me in and out. She answered questions and was so thorough. She was also so encouraging and positive which was so needed during my first cycle.

Carly was amazing! During each out my monitoring appointments ahead of egg retrieval she was never in a rush to get me in and out. She answered questions and was so thorough. She was also so encouraging and positive which was so needed during my first cycle.
Describe your experience with IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic).
IVFmd is an amazing practice filled with incredibly talented doctors. The only weakness I see is that they do batch cycles. This is a bit frustrating because it's on their schedule not your own cycle, but it is my understanding that batch cycles are very common in the IVF world. It just takes a little getting used to.

Dr Taylor is an intelligent competent doctor. She explained every step and treatment process along the way. She is compassionate and caring and makes you feel as if you are her only patient. No matter the time of day, if i had a question it was answered. After my first few scans during round 1 of our IVF cycle i requested early morning appointments, however this was before Dr Taylor was in the office.
Always available, very flexible, cheerful, kind and bright. They [IVFMD S. FL Inst] seem to all want to be there helping couples concieve. They treat every case differently based on the circumstances and you are never rushed.... My total package that included all necessary medications, scans, retrieval and transfer plus genetic testing of 10 embryos cost $23,000

No matter the time of day, if i had a question it was answered. After my first few scans during round 1 of our IVF cycle i requested early morning appointments, however this was before Dr Taylor was in the office. So our scans were performed by the supportive staff at IVFmd, but after being half way through the cycle and not seeing Dr Taylor once since our consult she requested to see us personally and all appointments to be performed by her from then on. She always takes time to speak to you after your scans and labs and you never feel rushed. After our failure of round 1, she seemed to be just as hurt as we were, and helped us come up with a game plan for round 2. Although finances were a struggle she guided us and offered alternatives. She is truly one of a kind.

Prepare yourself for success, with the assistance of a dedicated, determined doctor who puts your wants and needs first.

Describe the protocols Joelle Taylor used in your cycles at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic) and their degree of success.
Dr Taylor started my IVF cycle 1 with a low does of Gonal and Menopur. This decision came along with my diagnosis of PCOS. Dr Taylor wanted to avoid Over stimulating me. During the cycle we watched out follicles grow. Once we had retrieval, i was over stimulating and Dr Taylor performed several follow up scans to ensure I was getting better. Unfortunately we lost all embryos and could not get to a transfer. This time will be different.

She [Dr. McCarthy] is very thorough and does her due diligence in testing and analysis prior to starting fertility treatments...Used various protocols for the each retrieval and then for frozen egg transfer. All retrieval’s started with regulating menses with birth control. Then with careful monitoring started adding Follistum, then Menopur, and then Cetrotide. Used HCG for trigger. Another time used microdose Lupron prior to stim start...
Carly, my IVF coordinator [at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine], has been a god-send. She responds to every email and call that I have and is typically very swift with her responses. She is the glue of the operation...Strengths are their fabulous doctors, clean facilities, wonderful staff and accessibility. One weakness I would say is that they could improve on the education they provide patients on the whole process and medications
How was your experience with Jenna McCarthy at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic)?
Dr McCarthy is very good at her job. She is able to balance her expertise, training and education with compassion and humor. She Is great about responding to questions and concerns and is always open to any insight and suggestions we bring to the table. During various procedures, she is wonderful at communicating what she is doing and why. She is very cautious and careful and does a thorough evaluation of all potential variables that may be contributing to our inability to have a baby.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Jenna McCarthy at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic)?
Be patient. She is very thorough and does her due diligence in testing and analysis prior to starting fertility treatments.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Jenna McCarthy at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic)?
Been able to get to know the staff at the clinic. Typically staff and Doctor are easily accessible and quick to respond to inquiries, concerns, etc. After 2+ years going to this clinic, we have been able to forge relationships with most of the staff. Also, there is very few turnover of staff which is nice. Relatively small office with 2 doctors and appropriate staff so it’s not a huge practice where you see different doctors each time.

I have insurance which would cover some parts of my IVF; at this point I have maxed out my benefits. Medications are super expensive and then all of the labs and tests were as well.

Dr. Joelle Taylor was very knowledgeable and accessible throughout the whole egg retrieval process and now through the IVF process to date... For my egg retrieval everything went very smoothly with all medications and the injections. I am currently undergoing the IVF process and did not get my period in time to start the birth control, so Dr. Taylor's protocol is to start the Lupron and not take the birth control at all.
Miami office [of Fertility & IVF Center] was great. I didn't have any issues regarding the process, the nurses, the medications or the procedure at the end. The Jupiter office overall is very communicative about everything going on so far in my IVF process. I am just starting the last month before my transfer... Dr Taylor was with Miami office when I did my egg retrieval and all the nurses were organized and polite and very knowledgeable about all medications administered and showing me how to use them. Dr Taylor is now in Jupiter (her name was not shown there to choose) and the nurses are all very sweet and polite, but don't seem to be as knowledgeable as the ones in Miami.

She [Dr. McCarthly] is a very educated Dr and follows and stays up to date with research. She listens and is flexiable and really just one of the BEST drs I have ever dealt with in my life. She did surgery on me in 2014 and it was perfect and she was just very helpful and really showed compassion in all of my visits. ... I didn’t do any fertility treatment with Her as I could not afford it, we discussed options for IVF and she did some monitoring and bloodwork for me and surgery on my ovaries on 2014.
The front desk staff [IVFMD-S FL Inst Jupiter] could be a little friendlier, I always sort of felt they had an attitude but once you get past them it’s great! They are helpful just not too friendly compared to the nurses or Drs so it’s a little odd. I’m sure they deal with a lot but we all do. I can’t say though I’ve had much better experiences with desk staff too many other places maybe it’s a trend idk. Overall though still the one of the best experiences.

The front desk staff could be a little friendlier, I always sort of felt they had an attitude but once you get past them it’s great! They are helpful just not too friendly compared to the nurses or Drs so it’s a little odd. I’m sure they deal with a lot but we all do. I can’t say though I’ve had much better experiences with desk staff too many other places maybe it’s a trend idk. Overall though still the one of the best experiences.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Jenna McCarthy at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic).
Appointments for consults were in the $200-309 range. IVF was going to be around $18k

Dr. Taylor has the warmest disposition and truly cares for her patients. She was very realistic with us and did not give us any false hope. We appreciated her caring manner and ability to make us comfortable at all times...our approach was to use a lower dose than my previous doctor recommended in order to prepare my eggs for retrieval. We were impressed that Dr. Taylor always referred to the literature for her recommendations. She keeps her knowledge current.
The costs [at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine] were exactly as expected...Overall, the clinic was welcoming. It was a professional environment that was bright and clean. Appointments were kept as scheduled and the overall clinic did their best to conform to the schedule of their patients...Whomever we worked with (it has been a few months and I cannot remember specific names), we were very comfortable with. Very kind and friendly. Also very supportive.

Dr. McCarthy is a very kind and understanding doctor. We have had a very long journey, and she made us feel like there was still hope. She is very data oriented and monitors you closely. She made me feel safe and reassured me anytime things seemed overwhelming...She is understanding, she listens, and she takes her time going over all test results...currently doing a stim cycle for an egg retrieval. We are using the same protocol as my last cycle because I had a good result...
All of the nurses [at IVFMD South Florida Institute] are very kind and compassionate. They always explain test results and follow up steps. They also are available on the phone or email and always get back to you...Some strengths are organization, systems in place, always get you in if you need to be seen. Some weaknesses are their hold time when calling in can be very long. They also only leave you a message with next steps. It would be easier to have an email as well...

She was very easy to talk to. Not judgementel and easy going but educated me all along the way. She really took the time with us. I felt like she was more educated on the latest treatments available.she was extremely knowledgeable on what type of medication that was appropriate for pcos and my certain situation ...BecUse I couldn’t afford another round of ivf. She thought I would have a good chance of being successful with donor sperm and iuis.
Wait times were not bad but the personalities of the front desk were somewhat challenging and when your going through fertility treatments that’s the last thing you need. Overall it is a good clinic [IVFMD South FL Institute for Repro Medicine] and I would go back for further treatment because of the doctor ... I would usually see different nurses but they were all pleasant

I received very professional and knowledgeable advice from Dr. Joelle Taylor...had to increase my medication on the third day of injections and I think it was the right decision based on my estrogen levels. We agreed that I probably should have waited an extra day to trigger...Have all your questions prepared before the appointment because most appointments are with nurses...Menopur 300, Gonal F and Cetrotide because I appeared to be a “slow responder.”
[Nurses at IVFMD South Florida Institute for Reproductive Medicine are] Very nice and helpful when available...Very good clinic but a bit on the higher end expense-wise. It was not explained clearly to me that NOT doing the genetic testing was an option. If I did, I would not have tested my embryo and would have transferred my day 5 blastocyst...Menopur 300, Gonal F and Cetrotide because I appeared to be a “slow responder.”

[Dr. McCarthy] was there for every step and was great in each conversation with us...was always encouraging and so personable...I wish I could have seen her more during treatment but she was there for procedures and important test results...I was a single embryo transfer, as she was concerned what twins would do for my health...She gave us our son and I’ll always be so grateful.

Infertility treatment is a very difficult journey for any couple. Dr. Taylor and her team will provide you with your absolute best chances of success! We are beyond grateful to her and wanted to share our positive experience. Dr. Taylor is highly competent, extremely knowledgeable, and a very skilled surgeon (if any procedures are needed). She individualizes her approach to treatment based on the specific details of each case. Since treatment directly relates to the biology/ natural cycle of the body, she is able to adjust protocol when needed to optimize success. She is confident in her decision making and guides you through each step of the process which is highly appreciated since treatment is stressful by nature. I highly recommend Dr. Taylor.

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
dr MCCarthy is kind and has a great bedside manner. She is down to earth and friendly and I immediately liked her. I did have to travel to Jupiter when I thought I would be able to be seen in Viera. So that is frustrating but if it gets me a discount I’m okay with it.... We are still in the planning stages. My husband has done a semen analysis and blood work and I have done blood work and a saline ultrasound and we have our follow up on Friday to see where to go from here. Most likely IVF
It’s diffuclt to reach the clinic [IVF MD S FL-Jupiter] immediately. Your directed to the main office and then have to wait to be connected to your office. Scheduling isn’t very easy either because of the new office and where I live. I had problems with hearing back from the financial department regarding discounts for certain insurance.... Carly and the MA’s were all very nice and helpful. The scheduling is a different story.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic).
Not wrong really but they were supposed to get pap results and didn’t. They had post op report but didn’t see it. I think it’s because of the new clinic opening and trying to work in both places.

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
She [Dr. Jenna McCarthy] took her time with me in her office, even though she’s a busy woman! she explained things throughly & established trust...She’s very helpful. Always explains things. She gave me a timeline. She told me specifically that she wanted me to get pregnant by August of 2022. It was nice that she had set a goal for me & made it seem like she was gonna do everything in her power to get me to that goal.
The [IVFMD S. FL Institute for Reproductive Medicine] staff is great! No complaints. Always very friendly...I’d say the weakness would be that sometimes they tell you, you’ve got a credit & you owe nothing for the appointment, but then you don’t & they end up calling you and demanding payment after the fact. That’s a little frustrating because these things are expensive. You come prepared to pay & than they say you don’t need too.

We absolutely loved working with [Dr. Joelle Taylor] , she was always so compassionate and caring and she was genuinely so happy for us when we were successfully pregnant. She is so down to earth and professional, yet SO knowledgeable on all things fertility...Her approach is letting the patient decide what they are comfortable with and when instead of forcing a plan or jumping straight to IVF...Our first frozen embryo transfer was successful, and I know it’s because of Dr. McCarthy’s knowledge and care...shows so much empathy for her patients makes all the difference.
IVFMD in Jupiter is a great clinic with great staff! I think every clinic has pros and cons, but majority of my many appointments were fast and efficient. There were some rare times I had to wait longer or experienced some lack of organization, but overall I had no major issues...All the nurses were always so helpful and supportive in my journey! Thankful for them as well...Our first frozen embryo transfer was successful, and I know it’s because of Dr. McCarthy’s knowledge and care!

Once you visit Dr. McCarthy, you will wish every Doctor was just like her! I cannot recommend her enough, and I am so glad she was part of our journey on growing our family! She is so down to earth and professional, yet SO knowledgeable on all things fertility. Infertility is one of the hardest things to go through, and having a Doctor like Dr. McCarthy that shows so much empathy for her patients makes all the difference. Her approach is letting the patient decide what they are comfortable with and when instead of forcing a plan or jumping straight to IVF. We started off with an IUI after all of our initial testing in 2020. We took a break in 2021 , and then decided to return in 2022 to try again. We started again with 4 medicated cycles, and once those failed we finally turned to IVF. Dr. McCarthy and her staff make the complex IVF process easy and clear to understand, and they are always available for all questions. Our first frozen embryo transfer was successful, and I know it’s because of Dr. McCarthy’s knowledge and care! If you are struggling to conceive or even just want to understand your options, go see Dr. McCarthy at IVFMD! I will forever be thankful for her!

Dr. Taylor always knew what was going on with my current cycle even if it was only her nurse that had seen me for my visit...She listened to our history, came up with a plan for us...wanted us to try IUI before IVF for not just unnecessary financial constraints...had to time everything so there was a certain thickness in my uterus as well as give time for my husband to have increased semen analysis.
[staff of IVFMD] was extremely nice and welcoming. They always made me feel at ease even when I was uncertain about what would happen next...I was under the impression an IUI would cost $2k but it cost less than half of that...Dr. Taylor was very kind, methodical, and knowledgable about how we could move forward. She already had a plan B in mind months before we were even at that stage
How was your experience with Joelle Taylor at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic)?
When my husband and I had out first visit with Dr. Taylor we knew things would go differently at this IVF clinic than the previous one. She listened to our history, came up with a plan for us, and didn't want to put either of us through anything she felt wasn't necessary. Dr. Taylor was very kind, methodical, and knowledgable about how we could move forward. She already had a plan B in mind months before we were even at that stage. It was very reassuring.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Joelle Taylor at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic)?
Follow her advice!

Everyone in the office knew all of their patients by name. Dr. Taylor always knew what was going on with my current cycle even if it was only her nurse that had seen me for my visit. She was very involved in the whole process.
Describe the protocols Joelle Taylor used in your cycles at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic) and their degree of success.
Dr. Taylor had wanted us to try IUI before IVF for not just unnecessary financial constraints but also because it was physically and emotionally difficult to go through. She had wanted us to get all of our testing done and wait for my period to arrive before we went through anything. We had to time everything so there was a certain thickness in my uterus as well as give time for my husband to have increased semen analysis. I obviously wanted to start right away but knew Dr. Taylor knew what she was doing and her reasoning behind everything.

Describe your experience with IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic).
IVFMD was a great clinic. I was recommended to them by a friend after having a couple years of no success at a near by clinic. They were never there just to get your money and always cared about you and your partner as a person. They were with you every step of the way and every cycle. The team there was amazing and helpful and very knowledgeable.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Joelle Taylor at IVFMD - Jupiter (Prelude Network clinic).
They were very reasonable. I was under the impression an IUI would cost $2k but it cost less than half of that.
