Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

Dr. Kaldas has always shown interest in what I am saying...He has spent valuable time showing me pictures from my surgery as well as medical evidence from textbooks...He has done necessary steps in our fertility journey that have led to answers to why we aren't getting pregnant and I appreciate that...During my first appointment with [him] we discussed and agreed that I had endometriosis. Based on a pelvic exam...
Overall, the clinic [of Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery&Pregnancy] is very welcoming. Sometimes it can be difficult to talk to a nurse and I generally have to leave a voicemail. However, I know they are very busy. My phone call is generally returned within 24 hours...after applying insurance, has been just under $300. I had a laparoscopy for stage 4 endometriosis which was about $25k (billed to insurance) for Dr. Kaldas and about $25k to the hospital (billed to insurance). I have had an HSG test, which after insurance, was about $1,500.
How was your experience with Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy?
Dr. Kaldas has been such a great doctor. He has done necessary steps in our fertility journey that have led to answers to why we aren't getting pregnant and I appreciate that. I think he values his knowledge and enjoys sharing this with his patients. I have appreciated this as I like to know all the information I can! He has set up timelines and plans as to what the next steps in our journey will be, which I appreciate being a planner.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy?
Be open and ask a lot of questions. He wants to share his knowledge so ask away!
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy?
Dr. Kaldas has always shown interest in what I am saying. He provides his insight in what he is thinking on a diagnosis which has generally been fairly in line with the actual diagnosis (pelvic exam thought I had stage 2-3 endometriosis and after laparoscopy surgery, it was stage 4). He has spent valuable time showing me pictures from my surgery as well as medical evidence from textbooks. In the many appointments I have had with Dr. Kaldas, I have felt that he treats his patients with a lot of respect.
Describe the protocols Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) used in your cycles at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy and their degree of success.
During my first appointment with Dr. Kaldas, we discussed and agreed that I had endometriosis. Based on a pelvic exam, he figured it was likely stage 2 or 3. Within a month of my first appointment, we scheduled laparoscopy surgery to remove the endometriosis. After the surgery, it was determined to be stage 4. Within 3 months we were able to conceive on our own. Dr. Kaldas was very helpful easing our nervousness. At 12 weeks, we miscarried our baby. Dr. Kaldas was very compassionate during this time as we had to have a D&C. Dr. Kaldas gave us another 5 months to try on our own naturally before going in again. In January 2020, I went in again which he decided to have an HSG test and a semen analysis. The HSG test (which I had also had one done during my laparoscopy surgery and showed that one tube had been blocked but Dr. Kaldas had said this was likely due to surgery) showed both tubes were open. The semen analysis is TBD due to COVID-19. In May 2020, we are expected to be prescribed clomid along with a trigger shot. I am not sure on the dosage. His plan, in addition to ours, is to try and get us pregnant as soon as possible.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy.
I have enjoyed the nursing staff that I have met at the Kaldas Center. I appreciate how helpful they all are and compassionate they were when we suffered our miscarriage.

In general, an office visit, after applying insurance, has been just under $300. Dr. Kaldas treats every person who walks in the door as an individual and everyone’s situation is unique...[he]explains things very thoroughly which is much appreciated especially when treatments can become very complicated. [he] suggest treatment changes or increased treatments but ultimately leaves it up to the patient on what the patient is ready for or most comfortable with moving forward
[nurses of Kaldas Center for Fertility,Surgery, & Pregnancy]They answer any questions you have and never make you feel incompetent when asking questions over again...Communication is amazing within the clinic. Everyone is on the same page which speaks volumes for a clinic...If I had to state a weakness the only one I can think of is that since they are a clinic on its own when you need blood work or surgery you have to go to the hospital setting across town in order to do so which can be inconvenient at times.
How was your experience with Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy?
The moment I walked in the door I got to choose which doctor I had. That being said I did at times have the other doctors in the clinic but for the most part Dr. Kaldas lead my treatment plan. Dr. Kaldas treats each person as a person and not a number. Dr. Kaldas explains things very thoroughly which is much appreciated especially when treatments can become very complicated. Dr. Kaldas suggest treatment changes or increased treatments but ultimately leaves it up to the patient on what the patient is ready for or most comfortable with moving forward. Overall the care is the patients decision and Dr. Kaldas is there to support his patients in anyway possible to achieve the ultimate goal of pregnancy.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy?
Ask a lot of questions as Dr. Kaldas may not go into great deal at first but will definitely explain anything if your unsure at first with what the plan is and means going forward.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy?
Dr. Kaldas treats every person who walks in the door as an individual and everyone’s situation is unique. Dr. Kaldas shows empathy and care with every visit.
Describe the protocols Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) used in your cycles at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy and their degree of success.
When I first started my treatments it was checking all things such as blood work, hormone levels, reproductive system with ultrasound. They found cysts and scar tissue on my ovaries which they right away scheduled a laparoscopic surgery to remove that in order to go forward with treatment. Then after that procedure they started me on metphormin. Then I’d do several rounds with clomid or letrozole. That wasn’t working so we moved onto clomid, progesterone and timed intercourse. Than front here clomid, trigger shot and timed intercourse which ultimately lead to my pregnancy but ended in a fetal demise due to chromosomal disorder. After that when we started treatments back up the clinic tried the clomid, trigger shot with timed intercourse for three rounds and those didn’t work. We then moved onto clomid, trigger shot, more ultra sounds, and IUI. That we did for two rounds with no success. The last round we did was a combo cycle where I was put on clomid, follastym, increased ultra sounds, IUI, and progesterone. Which resulted in an early miscarriage.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy.
The nursing staff at my clinic are undoubtedly amazing. They really feel and empathize with you along the journey. They remember you without looking at your records. They answer any questions you have and never make you feel incompetent when asking questions over again or calling and asking about a symptom that may be nothing at all but seems big or strange at the time to you.
Describe your experience with Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy.
The Kaldas Center has several strengths. Communication is amazing within the clinic. Everyone is on the same page which speaks volumes for a clinic. Everyone is welcoming, nice and caring. The facility is clean and well kept. Questions are asked and answered with ease and reassurance. If I had to state a weakness the only one I can think of is that since they are a clinic on its own when you need blood work or surgery you have to go to the hospital setting across town in order to do so which can be inconvenient at times.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy.
The last cycle we did with the trigger, clomid, ultrasounds, follastym, and progesterone cost around $2,300.

Dr. Wang was very knowledgeable and compassionate...explained things so I understood, and was realistic with me about what to expect. I've never seen a doctor who I felt was so on my side...read my file multiple times before I came in to my initial appointment and that speaks volumes...6 months of Letrozol, surgery for removal of endometriosis and fallopian tube (I have unicornate uterus with rudimentary horn), timed intercourse. I was told IUI would not be beneficial in my situation. My husband and I have not been able to afford IVF, but are looking to go that route soon as Clomiphene is not working.
The clinic [ Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy] is very modern in appearance. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The building is clean and spacious as well. How was your experience with Pengfei Wang at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy?
As previously mentioned, Dr. Wang was compassionate and knowledgeable. I felt that I was in great care when I met him. I previously had an endometriosis removal surgery, but was seeking a specialist. I felt the surgery was not successful and the other doctor I saw gave up on me. When I sent my medical records to Dr. Wang he read it multiple times (I truly believe this), and he wishes when they looked inside me at my first surgery that they would have stopped the surgery and referred me to him. I honestly wish that happened, but I later had to seek our Dr. Wang and he performed a second surgery within 18 months of the first. He is a wonderful doctor that cares about his patients.

Dr. Kaldas is extremely intelligent when it comes to fertility treatment. He definitely meets you where you are at as far as how aggressive you want to get with treatment, etc. while also cautioning on the risks and providing recommendations. He has the interest of his patients at the forefront. ... He is all business, meaning he isn't very personable, however I'd take professionalism and expertise over being personable anytime. He is absolutely great. ... He is beyond knowledgeable in this field, and his experience in the field and his successes are really comforting
The Kaldas Center has an excellent staff - from the girl at the front desk to the ultrasound techs that scan me to the nurses who meet with me afterwards. The staff is amazing - they know me by name, call to check in with me and see how I'm doing, and they are sensitive to the disappointments we've experienced with not being able to conceive. They are also very current on where I am at in this journey, which makes it so much easier to meet with them.

Have an idea of what your limits are - he will assist in any way he can based on how aggressive you want to approach fertility. Research treatment options, etc. and be prepared to talk to him about what you view this journey to be and how aggressive you want to approach it. Do you want to do IUI right away, pills, injectables, etc.? He's great at trying new approaches when one doesn't work, so be prepared on what you are willing to do.

Not having to explain my history, what happened in past cycles, what happened at last week's ultrasound, etc. is so incredible helpful and important. The doctors there are incredible - very, very knowledgeable and willing to try different treatments/paths to help us achieve a healthy pregnancy.
Describe the protocols Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) used in your cycles at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy and their degree of success.
At our initial visit, he did an evaluation and blood tests to understand what our starting point was. From there, we discovered I had polycystic ovaries. We started on metformin (from 1 pill a day up to 3 pills a day, currently) and clomid (1 pill a day to 2 pills a day, currently, for cycle days 3-7) and progesterone 3 days after ovulation for 3 cycles. When that didn't work, we started using the ovadril trigger shot to force ovulation. We did one month of that, along with the metformin, clomid, and progesterone. When that didn't work, we started doing injections with follistim. I've done 3 cycles with follistim (along with metformin, clomid, & projesterone) and a trigger shot and an IUI. This is my 3rd cycle with follisitim, clomid, progesterone, and metformin, while also doing the trigger shot and IUI. For the follistim, this cycle I did 4 days with 225 IU.

Jodi and Kelsey are amazing nurses at the Kaldas Center. Both are very involved with my treatment and are very personable. It's so helpful and reassuring that they are current with where I am with my treatments and what the history of my treatments looked like and what the outcome was. They offer a lot of advice and truly care about the emotions of this entire process. They have also called to check up on me during cycles, which was amazing. They also know us by name and are extremely helpful.

I had met my deductible by the time I started seeing him, so the costs of my visits, with ultrasound, were about $35 each. The HSG was a little more expensive, after deductible, but the Kaldas Center worked with me on the coding to help with billing.
Describe Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN)'s approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy.
Dr. Kaldas always stressed the risk of multiples, and it was made clear to me that the goal was always a singleton.

Dr Kaldas does not have good bed side manner...Never remembered our plan when I was in the office. Neglected to test my husband before starting treatment. Resulting in 9 months of treatment to find out we had male factor as well...Strategy was we'll try fremara and ovidrel for few months then move to IUI then IVF. My husband and I never tried to get pregnant natural. I had ablation surgery for endometriosis. And they said we should try now as it's best success. As the months went on the more he pushed to skip to ivf. Yes. We need IVF now. We know that. However this was all pushed before the testing was done.
Theyre [Kaldas] known for endometriosis treatment. They return calls promptly. The nurse's are wonderful. They have many patients. You never get the same nurse. The doctors will push IVF as main approach...I am confident if we stayed at the clinic we may have achieved pregnancy. However after the months of stress, cost and poor communication. We decided to part ways and explore a separate clinic...
How was your experience with Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy?
Dr Kaldas does not have good bed side manner. We were moving forward to discuss IUI- when he finally tested my husband. He walked in and said - "well sorry to say youll likely never have biological children together. You can do IVF - it's simply look at it as buying a nice used car... Or you can adopt". Then left us with the news my husband had Azoospermia which he diagnosed with 1 semen sample. When I went back to him about my endometriosis pain few months later he asked my why we hadnt gone to IVF clinic yet - and I explained we needed time to process. He then said "you're waisting time this will be the only way you achieve pregnancy". When I got a second opinion - she greatly disagreed. Thinking that main cause of not getting pregnant was my husband's sperm count all along.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy?
Go in prepared to ask questions. Advocate for yourself. Yes there is high success. But it's high success because they tell every patient to do IVF. With out proper work ups. I had wasted months of money, time and drugs when it could have been avoided with the proper care. However, I was seeing a partner at Kaldas practice who was later let go and I was transfers to kaldas - he could still see the appropriate work up wasn't done.

Nothing was included for our insurance. IUI was quoted to be $1,500 not including meds. Ultrasounds out of pocket were $250 of we paid upfront. If it went to insurance and was denied it was $500. IVF with sister clinic $15,000

The clinic [Kaldas Center] is very spa like and comforting. The only complaint I would have regarding the clinic is that sound travels from room to room. They are organized and the exam room set up facilitates conversations with the providers....Everyone I spoke to during my time at the clinic was very helpful and compassionate. On the day of my surgery one of his nurses came to sit with me in the OR during prep time.

My only complaint is that the tube was left in non-functional which, if I developed pool a hydro, will reduce my chances at IVF. But his main concern seems to be focused on fertility preservation.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy?
Ask questions because if there is anything you dont understand, you will after he explains it. Outline your goals with him so he has a clear understanding of where you want your fertility journey to go.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy?
Dr Kaldas understands the importance of fertility preservation. He is caring and compassionate and took the time to explain everything he was going to do during my surgery.
Describe the protocols Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) used in your cycles at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy and their degree of success.
I saw Dr Kaldas for gynecological surgery to try to increase my chances of getting pregnant on my own or to remove my only remaining fallopian tube if it was unhealthy. He also removed spots of endometriosis and a uterine fibroid that I did not know I had
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy.
Everyone I spoke to during my time at the clinic was very helpful and compassionate. On the day of my surgery one of his nurses came to sit with me in the OR during prep time.
Describe your experience with Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy.
The clinic is very spa like and comforting. The only complaint I would have regarding the clinic is that sound travels from room to room. They are organized and the exam room set up facilitates conversations with the providers.

Dr. Kaldas is sensitive, intelligent and has such a passion for what he does. I recommend everyone to him and trust him with mine and my babies life!... We started with some fertility testing. Lab work, HSG, ultrasounds. Found endometriosis, cysts, uterine fibroids and a heart shaped uterus. Scheduled surgery to get everything taken care of and if I wasn't pregnant 6 months after surgery we were going to start clomid and go from there. The clomid was never needed.
They all resemble Kaldas very well. They show compassion and concern. Along with being very personable.... Strengths would be compassion and all so personable. From the care on the phone, to the receptionist who know you by name, MA's, ultrasound techs to all the doctors. Amazing. No weaknesses that I can think of.... Dr. Kaldas is sensitive, intelligent and has such a passion for what he does. I recommend everyone
How was your experience with Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy?
He never turns anyone down, explains everything before you even have a chance to ask the question. He took care of me after trying for a baby and all the testing. Emergency surgery for an ectopic pregnancy, along with fertility surgery to take care of endometriosis, cysts, fibroids and heart shaped uterus. Then my first pregnancy my water broke at 27 weeks pregnant, scariest time of my life. Every time he came in to round on me he told me of a success story of someone similar or worse off than myself. 2nd pregnancy found incompetent cervix, had an emergency cerclage placed at 18 weeks. Dr. Kaldas always is so confident in his decisions, do not have enough good things to say about this man.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy?
Trust him and let all your anxiety go. Which is much easier said than done, but you are in good hands. Give him time to figure everything out, because he will figure it out.

We were very scared and discouraged at the point in our journey that we met Dr. Kaldas. I had 3 miscarriages including 1 D&C at this point and have had years of disappointment and many many months of fertility medication. Dr Kaldas was the most kind, companionate, smart, confident Dr we had ever met. He spent 30-45 minutes just talking to us about our journey, telling us about experiences in his career, what probable causes could be and reassuring us that he will come to a conclusion and will deliver us a baby in our future. Within 2 minutes of a pelvic exam he diagnosed me with endometriosis, ran additional blood to gain more insight than the fertility blood tests results that we had previously to provide him. From the surgery to the birth of our daughter and every single biweekly visit inbetween Dr. Kaldas was unwavering in his approach and expertise. I've referred SEVERAL friends, family, & complete strangers to him and have seen so many of them turn into overjoyed first time parents shortly after. He is absolutely wonderful and I am and will continue to see him for all future pregnancies. I'm excited for him to deliver our second child in march!
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Rami Kaldas (OB/GYN) at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy?

He was the most patient, caring, confident doctor of the 4 we have seen. He NEVER rushed a visit and he always explained everything in a way that my husband and I could understand. He told us the only way he wouldn't be delivering our baby was if he was out of the country...and he DID deliver our miracle rainbow.

Success w/ Doc Not sure
Dr. Menya is easy to work with. He listens to me and asks questions to understand. I feel very comfortable with him and always leave the office with all my questions answered.... I was nervous to meet a male doctor but after our first meeting I knew he was the doctor I wanted. He felt I had PCOS and explained what it presented like in my body, including drawing pictures of what a hormone cycle would look like. We moved on to tests to confirm.
Beautiful office [Kaldas Ctr] in a nice area. Parking is great. Fast check ins. Always has cookies and coffee or teas available. Large waiting room with bench seating. Patient rooms are comfortable and have a table and chairs for discussion.... Nurses would follow up after meeting with Dr Menya to follow up and give a brief overview of what Dr Menya had said or prescribed or ordered and allow for any other questions to be answered. Nurses hace also provided me with pamphlets of information for IVF and recommendations for urologist for my husbands care.

Took his [Dr. Rami Kaldas] time to thoroughly go over each step of the way. Never felt rushed or as if we were just a number. Bedside manners are amazing!!!...Upbeat, passionate, friendly, down to earth, positive, honest, values his patient relationship..... Our previous OBGYN we were seeing sore up and down I didn't have endometriosis. At our consult with Dr. Kaldas he dx me with endometriosis, had surgery and was pregnant 2 months later!
[Kaldas Center for Fertility is a] Brand new facility site with spacious rooms. Everyone to even the front desk staff is so welcoming each and every visit. There have been times when they're running quite a bit behind. However from our own personal experiences I know situations come up. When we had our miscarriage dx in the office, they were so loving and compassionate. No one rushed us out at all. They even sent us a card after calling to check on us a few days later.

Dr. Kaldas was the first doctor who treated me like i deserved to be able to get pregnant even though I am overweight.... I did 2 cycles on Clomid with monitoring and iui, 1 cycle on femara with monitoring and iui, and 1 on gonal-f with monitoring and iui. He also prescribed metformin and prednisone, and was comfortable with my doing a keto diet, yoga and acupuncture.
Strength of the clinic [Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, and Pregnancy] is the staff and the atmosphere. It has a very peaceful, spa-like waiting room, stocked with water, keurig and cookies. Weakness is the cost and the financial department. It was more difficult than it should be to get proper records for FSA and tax purposes.... There is one main fertility nurse, Kate, who I spoke to for all my medication and next steps. She was incredibly sensitive and easy to work with. I can't say enough about her! There are also other nurses who handle all the temperature checks/ weight checks, etc. They were also fabulous!

Dr. Kaldas was honest and had clearly reviewed my chart. He expressed his condolence for my full term stillborn daughters and recent cervical cancer diagnosis...He’s honest and blunt with a perfect mix of being hopeful. He also explained things that my precious provider missed or should have done. He was thorough and ran tests. AND, he was creative with billing so insurance would cover some of his services...Injectable meds rather than oral as my lining was suffering greatly (for IUI).

Dr. Kaldas is an amazing doctor. He is very informative and listens to what you have to say. He is one of the best that I’ve seen. He also performed my excision of stage IV endometriosis, and was wonderful about explaining the procedure and setting my expectations. He was good about setting up a plan that worked for me, and him...Take notes if possible, or bring someone with to your appointments. He provides a lot of information, and sometimes it’s a little overwhelming.
I think they [Kaldas Center] are overall a wonderful clinic, they are good about communicating with you and always friendly. The one thing I would like to see is a change in how they billing works. It is very old school, and would be much easier if they would move to an online system...Nurse Kate is fantastic. She was so on top of everything and would usually know my treatment plan without having to look at every note in my chart. I really enjoyed working with her.

Nurse Kate is fantastic. She was so on top of everything and would usually know my treatment plan without having to look at every note in my chart. I really enjoyed working with her.
Describe your experience with Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy.
I think they are overall a wonderful clinic, they are good about communicating with you and always friendly. The one thing I would like to see is a change in how they billing works. It is very old school, and would be much easier if they would move to an online system. It would’ve saved a few headaches.

ASK Questions, he [Dr. Kaldas] is always willing to answer them...He started me out with clomid and monitoring. Due to my body not releasing the eggs he always gave me a shot to do so. After two failed rounds of Clomid we moved on to Femera and then Femera with an IUI...I heard many good things before I went to see him for the first time and he met all my expectations and more. I had seen two doctors before him and they stated they couldn't help me due to my weight, and in fact, my weight issues were due to my PCOS. I have since lost 40+ pounds just from medication alone. I wish I would have found him sooner
The overall clinic [Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, and Pregnancy] is amazing, they have a new building and it's beautifully designed. The Overall practice is great! They do a great job with the wait time. Almost every time they get to you at the time of your appointment. The whole staff is very friendly. The offer beverages and cookies in the waiting room...ASK Questions, he [Dr. Kaldas] is always willing to answer them...He started me out with clomid and monitoring. Success w/ Doc Too early to know
Dr. Pengfei Wang was very thorough and kind...he wanted me to give him a full history starting from when I first got my cycles at age 12, all the way through the present. He took notes and he was very professional. He was able to squeeze me in that same day to do an ultrasound in order to properly diagnose me with adenomyosis...offered to do whatever I felt comfortable with as far as proceeding with my fertility treatment.
The front desk staff [at Kaldas Center] is not terribly nice but...dealing with insensitive front desk staff is worth it to me to treat with an excellent doctor who has my best interests in mind....ultrasound tech was also very nice and compassionate...Dr. Wang suggested that we do medicated (clomid/letrozole) cycles and IUI together and he did seem confident that would be successful for us.
How was your experience with Pengfei Wang at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy?
Dr. Pengfei Wang is compassionate, caring, very thorough, professional, trustworthy and knowledgeable. I trust him very much with my treatment and all of my options moving forward with fertility treatments. I just wish his office was closer to where I live. I drove over 2 hours to meet him and have a consult and ultrasound and it was worth every minute of round-trip travel. He is a fertility genius.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Pengfei Wang at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy?
The front desk staff is not terribly nice but dealing with them was worth it because Dr. Wang is amazing. The ultrasound tech was also very nice and compassionate.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Pengfei Wang at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy?
Dr. Pengfei Wang was very thorough and kind. When I came in to his office, I was one week post laparoscopy and I was confused and didn't know how to proceed following my diagnosis of endometriosis stage one. He was very kind and gentle. He wanted me to give him a full history starting from when I first got my cycles at age 12, all the way through the present. He took notes and he was very professional. He was able to squeeze me in that same day to do an ultrasound in order to properly diagnose me with adenomyosis. He gave me what he felt were our odds for success with trying to conceive. He was honest and very caring. He offered to do whatever I felt comfortable with as far as proceeding with my fertility treatment.
Describe the protocols Pengfei Wang used in your cycles at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy and their degree of success.
Dr. Wang suggested that we do medicated (clomid/letrozole) cycles and IUI together and he did seem confident that would be successful for us. He said with my endometriosis and adenomyosis being "mild" that we are unexplained and we should be able to conceive, it might just take longer. He said he would do whatever path we were most comfortable with.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy.
I didn't have much interaction with the nursing staff.
Describe your experience with Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy.
The front desk staff wasn't very nice to me but I didn't let it bother me because I really like Dr. Wang and dealing with insensitive front desk staff is worth it to me to treat with an excellent doctor who has my best interests in mind.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Pengfei Wang at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy.
My costs were covered by insurance but from what I could tell on my insurance EOB, it was reasonably priced.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery, & Pregnancy.
The only thing that went wrong was I asked them to please send me my records in the mail on a flash drive. They did so, but the post office lost the flash drive because they mailed it in a regular envelope (with no padding) so the flash drive fell out. It was never found by the post office even though I filed a claim (which was a headache). I called the clinic and asked them to send a new flash drive with my records but to use a padded envelope next time and they told me "we don't have padded envelopes" so I had to request she wrap it up in a few envelopes to protect it. I eventually got my records.
