Dr Mehr answers any and all questions thoroughly. Never once have I felt like she's rushing through an appointment. She does her research before talking with you, so she's up-to-date on the treatment. At no point have I felt like just a number, or patient she's trying to rush through.

Dr Mehr won't sugarcoat things - she isn't abrasive at all, but she's going to give it to you straight.

We used normal protocols for both of our embryo freezings. During our second cycle, we were encountering low numbers and Dr Mehr called me to chat through all options, but we ended up continuing the same course and had good results in the end.

I believe we've paid close to $40,000 for two retrievals.

We have not undergone a transfer yet, but Dr Mehr has stated to us she will do a single embryo transfer.

I think Kindbody and Meredith Brower are scam artists. Do not bother to freeze your eggs with them. They have no interest in your results, probably because for egg freezing, there’s a huge chance you won’t come back for them and they won’t be held responsible for the results. Out of 8 oocytes retrieved, only 3 were viable because they did not adjust my protocol. I did actually come back for mine later and none of the 3 made it to viable embryos. Save your money, do not bother to freeze your eggs here. I went to 2 other fertility clinics as well, and both were much better. Avoid private equity backed clinics like Kindbody.

Do not go here. Kindbody is private equity backed and is trying to prove that through tech, they can cram more patients under a single doctor. She is negligent and I did not see her until day of surgery. Go to another clinic.

$11,000 including medications for the entire round of egg freezing

I answered a lot of this in the first question, as I did not know what other questions there would be, but I will write more. Dr. Brower has been amazing! She is very compassionate towards our situation and makes sure to give us all of our options. When we went in for our first appointment with her, based on our test results, we thought IUI would work. After the IUI did not work (it was our first time with Brower and our fourth time overall) with more tests it became apparent that my husband's sperm are not the best quality; we decided to move forward with IVF. Although some unexpected things have occurred with our first egg retrieval and ICSI (only 1 embryo survived of 8) she has given us all the information she has and what all of our options are. She has called us personally when she gets results and it is always when she says she will or sooner. She has allowed us to talk things through and decide what we want to do with her guidance and not with pressure. Brower has been at all of my appointments, except one, due to Covid-19 and having a limited number of people in the office (the office is now closed, but this was when it was just starting to pick up). Even if I was just getting blood drawn she'd make sure to pop in and say hello. She is also very into the education of a women's body and participates in panels to help educate on fertility/infertility, which I think is awesome! I'd say her strengths are making sure to cover all options, depending on the patients, and being personable- following up with results when she says she will. We can't say what her weaknesses are at the moment, as we have not found any, but I do wish she would have talked to us more about doing more extensive tests on my husband before we did our first egg retrieval/ ICSI- although the tests from his urologist specialist did not make it completely apparent that we needed to do this, so I don't blame Dr. Brower. We really lucked out with finding her and we can't say enough good things on how she has been with us on this journey of trying to start a family.

Don't be afraid to ask any and all questions. Brower is honest and will answer all of your questions to the best of her ability. Also to ask her for recommendations on nutrients, acupuncturist, and therapist as she works along side with all of them and has a handful of people she'd recommend.

I am not sure of the exact naming of the protocol but I was originally going to start my first egg retrieval cycle with taking birth control starting on day 3 of my period for about 10 days then going in for a blood test and ultrasound. If everything look right and my blood test came back good I'd return in 3 days for the same thing and then start my injections. Unfortunately my body did not respond to the BC (I had already started to produce a cyst on my follicle) so I had to stop and wait until my next period cycle. Once I started my period again Brower had me come in on day 2 and if the ultrasound and blood test came back good I would start the injections that night. I was able to start injections in the PM of day 2 of that period (Gonal F - 300 units Menopur - 150 units). I started my injections on 3/11 and had an egg retrieval on 3/21. During that time I went in every other day for blood tests and an ultrasound until 3/18 and then I went in every day until my retrieval on 3/21. I continued with the Gonal F and Menopur until 3/18 and added in the Cetrotide, 1 kit in the AM, 3/14-3/19. I took my trigger medication, Novarel 2500/Lupron Trigger on 3/19 at 9pm, went in for a blood test on 3/20, and my egg retrieval was 3/21, in the morning. The treatment strategy was to try and sync the growth of my follicles and to get the most good mature eggs (and not have the follicles get too big) . I usually have 18-20 follicles showing during ultrasounds before and during medication. My left side ended up under producing more than she thought, and my right side was pretty good. I had 17 eggs retrieved, 11 were mature and 8 became embryos. Of that 8 only one survived after day 5, and came back good from genetic testing. Because my body and uterus/lining seem to be in amazing condition Dr. Brower is hopeful that the one embryo will transfer and become a pregnancy, however she can't make promises and has been very honest about that. Because we want two children I told her we thought we should do another cycle before trying the transfer because I will be 35 this year and it will be better now for egg quality than in the future; she agreed. Because of our first egg retrieval and embryo making cycle came back different than what she expected she advised my husband to do a DNA fragmentation test and then see what we can do and what our options are after we get the test results. She also explained that because of my egg reserve test results (my AMH is 3.24 and AFC is usually 18-20) and age it would be abnormal for it to be all egg quality (as you know there is no way to test of egg quality) so we need to wait for my husbands results before we move forward with another egg retrieval and embryo making cycle. We also found out my husband has a varicose vein in one of his testicles which could be leading to poor sperm quality so depending on his DNA fragmentation test an option could be to remove the sperm directly from the testicles before doing another cycle/ICSI. We hope to get some answers from the test he did soon so we can figure out next steps, what our options are, and put some plans into action, although we are seeing now that plans do not go as they seem they will. For my next egg retrieval cycle, we hope we are able to start in June if everything reopens for medical fertility procedures, Brower is going to try another protocol to see if she can get my follicles to sync up better. I will prep during May to synchronize my follicles with Estrogen patches prior to my June period. I will go into the office 1 week after my ovulation in May for blood test. Once my bloodwork confirms ovulation I will start an Estrogen patch and change it every 3 days until my June period. On Day 2 or 3 of my June period I will have an office appointment with a blood test and ultrasound and if it looks good I will start my Injections that night.

You can also find this and other procedure prices on their website. An egg retrieval cycle with transfer is $12,500 and with genetic testing it is $17000, which is what we did (genetic testing is up to 8 embryo for $4500). If you have 2 cycles of egg retrieval instead of $25,000 they discount it to $20,000, and with genetic testing it is a total of $29,000. Which is what we will end up paying. The medications are $4,000-6,000 each cycle. For me the first cycle, without transfer medications has been about $5,000 or a little more. I will have to see what the cost of transfer medications are however I expect them to be $500-$1,000 since I was told the range for all medications is usually $4,000-$5,000. DNA fragmentation test runs $275-$500, we have not received the bill yet. If my husband has to have sperm removed directly from the testicles it looks like that is $3000-$12,000; from what we have looked up on the web (Doctor Brower would not do this producer).

Dr. Brower explained that this depends on the patient and situation. For us, since my uterus and lining look great, she advised the eSET (and right now that is all we have- hopefully we will get more after the next cycle). She explained how there are more risks for twins if more than 1 egg should attach after transfer. She prefers patients not to go with multiple embryo transfer if the uterus and lining are good and there are no other concerns, however if someone wants to have twins she will talk to them about that. We feel comfortable with her recommending eSET for us and selecting the best embryo if we get more out of our next cycle.

I had a terrible experience with a different fertility doctor before Dr. Mehr. I was skeptical and had very low expectations. Dr. Mehr really did restore my faith in this process and my health. I always felt heard and I truly felt like she had my best interest at heart. When I got my positive pregnancy test she was supposed to call me at 2pm but called me 2 hours early because she was excited and couldn't wait. That's the kind of investment I needed during this process, especially because I was doing it on my own. She was in my corner and I will be forever grateful to her.

Don't be afraid to ask all the questions and be a bit vulnerable. Even if you think they are wild questions. Dr. Mehr will always approach them with respect and an active ear. She'll listen to you and/or your concerns and help you move through them.

During my cycle we utilized clomid to get my eggs started. After the first few appointments we discovered that my follicles needed a bit of a bump because they were not growing at the rate that we wanted. We added Menopur to the cycle to get everything on track. When the follicles were at the right size I used an ovidrel shot to ovulate one day prior to IUI. During the second round Dr. Mehr she increased my Menopur and we proceeded similarly. My second IUI was a success.

Thankfully a lot of what I did was covered by insurance. Anything that was not I could see on the invoice section of my portal.

Dr Meredith Brower is hands down the most brilliant, skilled but also incredibly kind and compassionate doctor I have ever encountered in my 41 years, living in three countries and two continents. Her passion and joy for the profession are contagious. My husband and I were looking forward to every appointment and walked out lighthearted and confident. You feel in good hands every step of the way. She's a true professional with a highly scientific approach and in the same time sees the humans in front of her. We got pregnant with her at first try and are over the moon expecting our first child. She managed to make a dry, scary, at times overwhelming process like IVF pleasant. I can't recommend her enough. She is nothing short of amazing and I wish all doctors would be a bit more like Dr Meredith Brower.

Trust the magic of this incredible doctor fully and enjoy one of the most wonderful patient-doctor experiences of your life.

First she thoroughly inspected me and discovered a polyp which she surgically removed in order to make a successful pregnancy happen. She presented me with all my options, risks, benefits, and let me decide my best option- Which for me was IVF. She guided me through a very successful egg retrieval process and a successful embryo transfer.

Dr. Mehr is pretty blunt. I can see that being off-putting to some people but I personally appreciated it. It made understanding things a lot clearer. She's thorough and explains her thought process and is willing to talk to you about the science and medical studies that are relevant. Even though we didn't end up with the result we wanted, I still appreciated having her as our doctor through the process.

Write your list of questions in advance and be ready to ask them to Dr. Mehr because I believe she'll be able to answer them.

I had been on Letrozole with another doctor but my progesterone was testing high, so Dr. Mehr suggested I switch to a lower dose of Clomid instead. She was worried about overstimulation. I started on Cycle Day 2 and went back again on Cycle Day 9 to check where I was at. I triggered ovulation that night with the shot and 2 days later went in for my IUI.

$1700 for IUI

As a patient, I felt extremely comfortable with Dr. Brower. She has excellent bedside manor, talks to you like a human (not a number), takes all of your history and testing into consideration, and is very honest and clear with her diagnosis and treatment plan. She takes time to explain everything, answer all questions, and never rushes you.

Be prepared with all of your medical history - everything matters and she will review it all. Also, be prepared to work with other doctors in the clinic as they all work together to accommodate their patients. We were told that, while Dr. Brower is our primary RE, she works as a team with her other doctors and we may work with other doctors during the process.

I went through all of the testing and was scheduled to begin IVF in July 2021, but ended up getting spontaneously pregnant the month before starting IVF treatment (unfortunately, it ended in a miscarriage). That said, Dr. Brower recommended IVF over IUI due to our ages, my medical history, and the fact that we had been TTC for over 3 years with no results. She did not push for genetic testing because I was 33 at the time, and she explained that genetic testing is recommended for women over 35 as that is when the risks of genetic issues become much higher. She also recommended progesterone as I have symptoms that are indicitive of low progesterone.

Kindbody is great about providing prices upfront. My initial virtual consultation was $150, I think follow up appointments with Dr. Brower were $200-300. The entire IVF procedure (not including medications) is $12,500-13,500. If you want to do genetic testing, it is another $4,000. Medication can range from $3,000 to $6,000.

Dr. Brower recommended to single embryo transfer, and provided two reasons: 1) the success rate of implantation is very high for a single embryo (she provided a percentage but I don't recall what it was) and 2) because of the high success rate there is a very high chance that multiple embryo transfer would result in twins. A twin pregnancy is considered high risk, so for that reason they recommend against it.

Dr. Mehr was great. She was always very attentive, meticulous with detail. She really cared for me and I know her evaluation was thorough. She listened to my concerns and came up with a thoughtful and patient specific treatment plan for me. She is one of the best doctors I have had

Dr. Mehr is great, you are in good hands. I would say in general for anyone going through for the IVF process to expect things to take a little bit longer than originally anticipated.

Dr. Mehr was very honest with us about what the course of treatment would look like. She worked from the moment that we came to the clinic to help us explore how best to address an autosomal dominant genetic disorder that I am a carrier for. Dr. Mehr remained optimistic about the possibilities of having our own biological child. However, when we completed PGT-M testing and found that all of our embryos were affected by the disorder, Dr. Mehr was empathetic and tried to offer the best guidance about how to move forward if that was what we wanted. She was an expert but also a kind human being. I felt like I could not have asked for more from her.

Thoroughly explore all of your options before you dismiss something as a possibility you don't need to think about. Dr. Mehr is great about exploring these things but I often didn't want to explore things I thought wouldn't be relevant. Dr. Mehr still educated me about them, but later I wish I had engaged more with exploring all options.

During one of my cycles, it seemed I may have ovulated prior to egg retrieval. For every following cycle, Dr. Mehr made sure that we used an antagonist to help me not ovulate. Given my age, I don't believe there was anything else medically indicated that Dr. Mehr could have suggested. I felt we received good results from the treatment she offered.

I had an insurance benefit so I only paid $2000-$3000 for PGT-A testing and then $5000 for PGT-M testing through an outside lab.

We did not do any embryo transfers while I was under Dr. Mehr's care.

I really loved my time as Dr. Mehr's patient. I came to her in 2022 as I was approaching 40 to pursue the single mom by choice path. She was extremely supportive of my journey and made me feel comfortable from the outset. We were all surprised when my first IUI resulted in a pregnancy and when that pregnancy miscarried she was so kind and stayed and chatted with me for a while after the confirming ultrasound. She is very good about talking through each procedure, expectations and possible results. I always felt well informed throughout each step of my journey. She also spent a good amount of time with me during visits talking about next steps and what to expect. I never felt like our appointments were rushed or like she was too busy to answer questions. She is also great about infusing you with confidence because I would often go to appointments with a lot of built up anxiety and leave feeling so much relief.

Write out all of your questions and don't feel shy about asking them.

For my first IUI, after discussing it we went with a natural cycle because I wasn't presenting with infertility. This IUI produced a pregnancy that ended in miscarriage. My second IUI we did a course of Clomid to up the chances of multiple eggs and increase the chance of a successful pregnancy. While I did release 2 eggs during this cycle this IUI resulted in a negative pregnancy test. My final attempt was a round of IVF. I made the decision to move to IVF after consulting with Dr. Mehr because it was covered under my insurance. I believe we followed a standard IVF protocol, which resulted in 11 retrieved eggs, 5 embryos and 1 genetically healthy embryo (which I understood to be average for my age range).

I was very fortunate that my procedures were all covered under my insurance. As a result, I paid only co-pays for all of my visits for IUIs and for my IVF treatment I paid a total of around $2000 (including medication costs) for the entire process, not including PGT testing which cost around $4000.

I am thoroughly impressed and thankful for Dr. Mehr. She helped me with a tube removal, and encouraged (but didn't pressure) me to start IVF. After 4 years of infertility, it is exciting to have a little one on the way with the help of Dr. Mehr. She is patient, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. She is always referencing new studies to keep information at top of mind when pursuing the best treatment. I would recommend Dr. Mehr to anyone and everyone.

Trust her knowledge, don't trust Google.

My husband and I went to Dr. Mehr for our workup after experiencing recurrent pregnancy losses. Simply put, she is a breath of fresh air in the medical field. While under her care, we unfortunately experienced another loss. I can vividly recall that day in her office. Her patience, empathy, undivided attention and willingness to sit and answer EVERY question we had helped us keep calm during the storm. It was the first time I walked away from a loss with clarity and a full understanding of what might be happening. She takes her time, answers your questions, gives you her absolute undivided attention and is great at her job. She's a blessing!

My husband and I had our first consultation with Dr. Sundheimer via Zoom, as KindBody conducts initial consultations virtually. The half-hour appointment allowed us to discuss our history and concerns in detail. We had already undergone some lab tests and were considering IVF or IUI options. Dr. Sundheimer was candid about the success rates of both, advising additional lab tests for a more informed decision-making process. While we uploaded our previous tests, some were outdated, necessitating new tests through KindBody. Despite the extra cost and effort, these tests provided a comprehensive understanding of our situation. Remarkably, after six years of exploratory tests with our primary care physicians, KindBody’s thorough approach led to the confirmation of PCOS and a genetic disorder diagnosis. This revelation offered us more insight into our condition than we had received from any other medical consultations. Dr. Sundheimer’s methodical and comprehensive approach reassured us that we are on the right path. While we haven’t yet met Dr. Sundheimer in person, KindBody’s online portal facilitates ongoing communication. This feature allows us to reach out to her with questions at any time, enhancing our comfort and confidence in the process. Our follow-up appointment was conducted by her Nurse Practitioner, who impressed us with their knowledge and personable demeanor. However, interacting with multiple staff members across KindBody’s nationwide network sometimes creates confusion. Distinguishing between administrative personnel and the team of care professionals directly involved in our case can be challenging. Despite this, the overall experience remains positive, and we appreciate the accessibility and support provided by KindBody's diverse team.

If I were to offer one piece of advice for a prospective patient of Dr. Lauren Sundheimer, it would be: Be Open and Prepared for Your Consultation: Dr. Sundheimer is known for her thorough and candid approach. To make the most of your consultation, come prepared with your medical history, any relevant lab tests, and a list of questions or concerns you have. Being open and honest about your medical background and treatment goals allows Dr. Sundheimer to provide the most personalized and effective care. Additionally, her straightforwardness in discussing treatment options, including success rates and necessary procedures, requires patients to be prepared for clear, sometimes direct, medical advice. Embrace this as an opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of your condition and the potential treatment paths available to you.

My treatment strategy is not yet final. I am undergoing this process right now.

KindBody's IVF package is $15,800. Additional services such as medications, storage fees, freezing, etc. cost extra. Their embryo PGT testing is roughly $3,300. Initial lab work can go up to $2,000+. KindBody has a Black Friday deal for 15% off IVF package, but certain agreements apply, and I'm not sure how often they run these.

Dr. Sundheimer is amazing as a physician. She is knowledgeable and passionate. She has probably figured me out in terms of my plans during IVF. She has been hands on and highly involved during this whole process. And things get done very quickly. She’s super awesome and cool to talk to and she has great bedside manners. She has an amazing story of her motivation for helping people going through infertility. I look for not only the credentials, but the passion. Dealing with me and my emotions and worry through the process, I felt at ease talking with her and her team. Communication is important and Dr. Sundheimer has been stellar. Really love her enthusiasm and reminders of even the “little wins”.

Everyone coming in should come up with a plan A and B of what they want like goals (how many children, gender, age to have children etc). Dr. Sundheimer works with you in those goals and give some stats to expect. She is also open and does not just give you a one way answer or just the plan. Instead, she will ask you your thoughts and what route you want to do.

IUI - standard I think, clomid PO and then Ovidrel trigger. Negative pregnancy. IVF egg retrieval #1: Menopur and Follistim for stimulation, Novarel and Lupron to trigger -6 eggs, 4 fertilized, 2 genetically great embryos. Egg retrieval #2: same but add on Omnitrope for egg quality (added a bunch of supplements: CoQ10 (taking ubiquinol) 600 mg daily. 7 eggs, 5 fertilized, 2 embryos that had genetic abnormalities. Egg retrieval #3: same as #2, added additional Ganirelix for twice a day since cycle ran longer - added magnesium threonate supplement on own. 7 eggs and 5 fertilized, 3 embryos - one euploid, two aneuploid. Cabergoline - for potential OHSS because estradiol levels went above 4k. Egg retrieval #4: same as #3, and cycle ran even longer, added NAD+ supplement recommended by Dr. Sundheimer. Just had egg retrieval - 11 eggs, 8 successful fertilization pending PGT-A.

I loved working with Dr Sundheimer and her team! My daughter now is almost 1 and I’m pregnant with my baby boy (10 weeks), both by the help of Dr Sundheimer. Her and her team make you feel at home and comfortable in the whole process and explain things thoroughly. I will miss going to see them since now I’ve graduated. They do an amazing job and I have already recommended Dr Sundheimer to a couple friends and they are happy as well!

I went through 2 cycles with Dr. Sundheimer. Dr. S is very thorough in communicating expectations which makes the process a little less stressful. She was available to answer all my questions whether it be in-person, over the phone, or through the online portal. She's very compassionate and a true patient advocate. I'm very pleased with my experience and recommend Dr. S to everyone.

You're in good hands with Dr. S. The process can be stressful and scary but Dr. S makes it a bit easier.

First cycle was an estrogen priming cycle - my body was slow to respond and the outcome was successful but not ideal. Second cycle was a luteal phase cycle - my body responded much faster and the results were better.

First cycle was approx $6k without medications. Medications were about $6k through MDR. Second cycle was about $5k (Kindbody was running a promo) - medications were approx $5k. These prices were aligned with my expectations for costs.

Dr. Sundheimer is fantastic and optimistic. She is very down to earth and explains things in an accessible way. She had to deliver hard news multiple times to us and always approached it with compassion and options moving forward.

Working with Dr. Sundheimer is a fantastic experience. If you have had rough experiences before, Dr. Sundheimer is a breath of fresh air.

We had several cycles have to be postponed due to my hormones being weird. Dr. Sundheimer did research and consulted with colleagues and didn't leave us without potential answers. We ended up completing our cycle with POI, progesterone suppositories, and estradiol tabs. We had a successful transfer with our adopted embryos (we transferred both, but only one took).

We went through our insurance so we were only billed what our copays and coinsurance were. The only out-of-pocket expense was the fee for transporting our embryos into their clinic which I believe was $500. In total, we paid around $800.

We asked to transfer both our embryos at the same time. After looking into our history and the history of our adopted embryos, Dr. Sundheimer was very clear about the risks of multiples, but agreed to transfer both. We were grateful. We had one embryo end up implanting.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Anupama Kathiresan. From the very beginning, I felt like I was just another number to her, rather than an individual with unique needs and concerns. The entire process felt like a farm, lacking the personal touch and care that is crucial in such a sensitive and significant journey. When I would insist on phone calls to gain better understanding, she made it pretty clear how inconvenient it was for her since she's hoping to just meet with you once or twice over zoom for the whole process (the nurses take care of the everything else). Throughout my treatment, I never even saw her in person. This lack of face-to-face interaction made me feel disconnected and uncertain about the care I was receiving. It became clear to me that she was more focused on getting money out of me than providing genuine care and support. She even told me it was basically impossible to get pregnant naturally with my AMH levels, but three other fertility experts have pointed me to studies that say otherwise (I went to see other experts because I frankly could no longer trust her). I am convinced the only reason she told me that was to scare me into doing more fertility treatments. This kind of manipulation is unethical and deeply troubling.

I'd honeslty suggest not seeing her at all. She is clearly not passionate about making sure patients have a good experience and is just making sure she spends as little time with the patient as possible.

I inquired about other protocols because I had started doing my own research, as it felt like the information I was getting from her was superficial. When I asked why we were following one protocol over another, she simply responded that it was the most common one. In hindsight, I should have walked away at that point. It was evident that she didn't consider my specific situation before choosing a protocol and was likely just defaulting to what she was most familiar with.

I could not attend monitoring appointments at times that were convenient for me; instead, I had to work around their rigid schedule. This added a significant amount of stress to an already difficult process. It became increasingly clear that the clinic's definition of "success" was not focused on achieving the best outcomes for each patient. Rather, their priority seemed to be getting people in and out quickly, merely checking off boxes to show they had completed necessary steps. This impersonal and rushed approach made me feel like just another number in their system, and I genuinely believe that the decisions made during my treatment likely had a negative impact on my egg freezing process. The lack of flexibility and personal attention was deeply disappointing. In hindsight, I truly wish I had chosen a clinic that emphasized a personal touch and patient-centered care. A clinic that values the individual needs and circumstances of its patients would have provided a much more supportive and effective environment for such a critical and sensitive procedure. The experience has left me with significant regret and a strong sense that I should have sought care from a place that genuinely prioritizes patient outcomes over procedural efficiency.

The costs for my treatment at the clinic exceeded $10,000, but looking back, I would have gladly gone elsewhere and paid even more to receive better treatment. The financial aspect was just one of many frustrations. Despite the substantial amount I paid, I continue to receive unexpected bills long after the treatment was completed, adding to the stress and dissatisfaction of my overall experience. The recurring and delayed billing issues are indicative of the disorganization and lack of transparency at the clinic. Knowing what I know now, I would have preferred to invest in a clinic that offers superior care, clear communication, and a more personalized approach. The peace of mind and higher quality of care would have been worth the additional cost, ensuring a more supportive and less stressful journey through such a significant medical procedure.

Dr. Armstrong was compassionate and nonjudgmental; she took time to understood my needs within the timeframe of my cycle and beyond. She explained how the egg freezing process works in a way I could understand, and she helped me set reasonable expectations based on my overall health. Dr. Armstrong also caught some symptoms that could have led to a relevant diagnosis and ordered blood work to confirm. My general practitioner never put those clues together, so I'm so glad Dr. Armstrong did! I did not meet diagnostic criteria for that condition, but it's something I now know to keep my eye on. I got the results I wanted—actually, even better—and I'm grateful for her guidance!

I totally trusted Dr. Armstrong with whatever questions I had, and she did a great job answering them. Don't be shy—if you're confused or have concerns, ask!

I did egg freezing, and we used Follistim, Menopur, Ganirelix, and a Lupron trigger. Every couple of days, Dr. Armstrong reviewed my dosages; I was responding strongly to the medication and she lowered my doses accordingly.

I had coverage through my work; they had issues charging my FSA directly (which was my fault), so we charged my credit card for the full amount at the beginning of my cycle, and I had to reach out to my FSA for reimbursement. I had issues getting an itemized receipt from Kindbody at the beginning of the cycle, but they said they would get one to me when my cycle was over. (They did not take initiative to follow up with that itemized receipt; I had to request it again.)

Majority of my visits with Dr. Kathiresan was done virtually. It did feel a little distant in the beginning but throughout the course of our journey, I was assured that even though our visits are virtual, she is attentive and was able to assess my situation based on my blood work and ultrasounds. She is empathetic, compassionate, and personable during our phone calls and virtual visits- which I appreciate. I did 3 egg retrievals with Kindbody and all 3 was performed by the doctor who was operating that day. During my 3rd retrieval, we noticed that my right ovary is hard to get to and they noted it in my chart. Prior to the retrieval, Dr. K assured me that it is noted in my chart and the Dr. operating that day is well aware. That retrieval was the one that got the most eggs- so I do believe the doctors talk amongst each other to prep each other. Prior to the FET, she suspected that my uterus has a uterine polyp after viewing one of my ultrasounds during the egg retrieval process. I saw Dr. Kathiresan in person for my saline sonogram procedure and she is the same in person- personable, attentive, kind, and reassuring. I'm so glad that she did my saline sonogram because it was like a mock FET transfer; during the saline sonogram, we realized my cervix dips down and it makes it hard for the catheter to get to the uterus. She suggested that we add a stitch to my crevix so during the FET, she can tug on the stitch to make my cervix straighter and for the catheter to easily go in. She patiently went through all our options for the FET (adding a stitch or some patients are put under general anesthesia), discussed the FET process in detail, answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. Adding the stitch to the cervix is something new that we've never heard and she explained that she learned this while practicing in Texas. It was common at the last clinic she practiced at and less so here. She also said she's done it quite a bit which is reassuring. We decided to add a stitch to my cervix during my hysteroscopy surgery. For my FET, the clinic unfortunately had a water leak and we could not perform the FET at the clinic but rather at a 3rd party clinic. That sent my anxiety through the roof. Dr. Kathiresan called me and reassured me that the whole team (her, the nurse, and embryologist) will be there and make sure the clinic has everything they need and set up properly. I was still nervous because it is a different environment for the team and there is sooo much room for human error but the FET went smoothly and I can't thank Dr. K enough for reassuring me and making sure everything was under control. Dr. K was calm the whole time and that calmed me down as well.

I understand Dr. Kathiresan has a lot of patients and sometimes, I have to remind Dr. Kathiresan of our last conversation. She does double check my chart during our conversations just to be sure.

My first protocol was a follicular phase protocol with estrogen priming. The estrogen priming gave me really bad migraines for days and it was debilitating. Dr. K explained that it is common as it's the same hormone that causes headaches during your period. If you're likely to experience headaches or migraines during your period, you'll most likely experience the same during estrogen priming. The migraine went away after day 3. I started with 150u menopur, Gonal-F 225u then increased to 300u on day 5, Omnitrope 35u, Ganirelix, and triggered with Lurpon and Novarel. 7 eggs retrieved, 3 fertilized, 2 blasts, and 1 PGT-A Euploid. I wanted to go into the 2nd ER right away so Dr. K suggested we do a Luteal Phase protocol (this is after I ovulate). I was on Clomid 10mg for 5 days, Provera 5mg for 10 days, Menopur 150u, Omnitrope 35u, Gonal-F 300u, and triggered with Lupron & Novarel. During my monitoring, we noticed my right ovary was hard to get to and we retrieved 4 eggs, all 4 fertilized, 3 blasts and 3 PGT-A eupoids. For the 3rd ER, we decided to go with the same protocol as the 2nd ER yieled the best results. We kept everything the same and we retrieved 13 eggs, 9 fertilized, 7 blasts, and 1 PGT-A euploid. Unfortunately, the 3rd ER yielded the worst results out of the 3 even though we copied the 2nd ER protocol exactly. This is when we realized science is never 100% and it really does differ each time.

Our fertility benefits through our insurance covered up to 20k, which was 2 cycles of ER. We paid $13,100 for a 3rd ER cycle+ 2 FET. Genetic Testing was $2880 each cycle (so multiply by 3 since we did 3 ER). All lab work and diagonstic (ultrasound, blood work, consults) was covered by insurance after we met our deductible and out-of-pocket max.

Dr. Brower was knowledgeable and patient with me. I tried three IUIs with kindbody that were not successful and when IVF was suggested my partner and I were not ready. When we were, Dr Brower answered our questions and gave us the time and information we needed to move forward in a way that was comfortable for us and our plan was of the utmost importance to Dr Brower because it was important to us. She was wonderful to work with

I cannot recall too many specifics but I remember responding really quickly to folistim injections during our IVF cycle and Dr Brower made a quick adjustment. She was always ready with alternate meds and protocol tweaks which made me feel so well taken care of!

They were very upfront about costs beforehand, but my insurance has a special fertility benefit so I believe I paid a much smaller amount after insurance was billed than a traditional out of pocket patient

Dr. Brower is brilliant, cautious, thorough, warm, attentive, and thoughtful. I couldn’t have asked for more in a doctor. As someone who often feels anxiety in doctors offices, I never felt anxious around her and found her presence so comforting. We had a surgical procedure performed and she was the perfect balance of professional and compassionate and was so sweet to me when I was coming out of my anesthesia. We were so sad to leave her!

Wasn't able to see her at every visit (my issue, not hers, because I had to come super-early for work) and she called me every afternoon to talk about results. Was wonderful about being to able to both make her own recommendations on how I should proceed but also give me the space to make my own decisions. So warm and reassuring during ER process (my first time getting any kind of procedure). Staff is also so organized and professional; communication was top-notch. Ann, her nurse, is amazing. Felt very well cared for. Oh and office is beautiful.

Go see her for a consultation at the very least. Is both very honest and doesn't give false hope, but also warm and open. A great combo.

Coming completely out of left field, at twenty-nine I found out I have a genetic problem that might affect my own fertility as well as the health of my future children. Feeling apprehensive, my fiancé and I began creating embryos under the supervision of Dr. Mehr. Emotionally she gave me exactly what I needed providing hopeful optimism without giving me unrealistic expectations for success. She demonstrated patience with my steep learning curve, taking the time to explain complicated concepts and my options. Also, she paid attention to my individual reactions to the medications. This meant that even though I enjoyed more success in the first round than anticipated, Dr. Mehr adjusted her protocol for the second round and doubled the number of blastocytes that successfully grew to day 5! I cannot recommend her enough.
