This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.
For more information please see our FAQs.
Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.
Dr Hayes was proficient at her job, however she made my wife feel like number. Not often compassionate and during the egg retrieval was late to the appointment...thought that someone else would have to perform it based on her late appearance...Only video chatted a few times with Dr Hayes and each time was how short
[Kindbody - Milwaukee] were difficult to work with and challenging to understand regarding process timing and costs...many of the coordinators and nursing staff had left for other places, making it difficult to maintain consistency...we have been working to secure a refund for services not rendered...$12,000 for over 5 months
How was your experience with Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
Maybe the clinic that she works, however we were certainly a number that was being worked through the process by Dr Hayes. Only video chatted a few times with Dr Hayes and each time was how short, brief, and left with someone will contact later with instructions through the portal
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
Dr Hayes was proficient at her job, however she made my wife feel like number. Not often compassionate and during the egg retrieval was late to the appointment. To the point that the staff thought that someone else would have to perform it based on her late appearance.
Describe your experience with Kindbody - Milwaukee.
My wife and I went to Kindbody, which was VIOS when we started service. Throughout the process, they were difficult to work with and challenging to understand regarding process timing and costs. During our experience with Kindbody, we found out that many of the coordinators and nursing staff had left for other places, making it difficult to maintain consistency within the practice.
Since completing services with Kindbody, we have been working to secure a refund for services not rendered. After numerous attempts to obtain information, we were told that it was always someone else's job and that they would get back to us. However, each time, there was never anyone who reached back out. We have been struggling to get a refund that exceeds $12,000 for over 5 months.
It was already a nervous and stressful time for my wife and I. There are choices that can be made for fertility clinics, and I would caution anyone from working with Kindbody Milwaukee. This is truly a poorly managed operation, and we often found them to be short and rude.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if you have options, DO NOT choose Kindbody during this stressful, yet hopeful journey.

How was your experience with Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
Dr. Hayes is personable, warm and easy to talk to. She was able to give me a clear diagnosis, which I was unable to get from the 2 previous fertility providers that I had seen, and had a bedside manner that was clear and no-nonsense, which is a great combination in a provider.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
I would always encourage anyone looking for medical treatment to become an informed participant in their own care. In doing so, you will understand why Dr. Hayes is such a good option and someone that you would want in your corner for such an important medical concern.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
Dr. Hayes and her team always referred to me by my name, the information they relayed was pertinent to my case and you could tell that they were familiar with my medical history and current treatment plan each time I spoke to them.
Describe the protocols Ellen Hayes used in your cycles at Kindbody - Milwaukee and their degree of success.
Every person is different when it comes to treatment approaches, what works for one person might not be the right fit for another.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Kindbody - Milwaukee.
The nursing staff was amazing! As a nurse myself I hold my peer group to high standards when it comes to providing excellent care. The nurses were well informed of my specific case as well as educated and knowledgeable about fertility treatment and clinic processes. They were always timely in their online message responses. I really do believe they enjoyed their job and you could tell by how they conducted themselves at work.
Describe your experience with Kindbody - Milwaukee.
I have almost all positive things to say about the clinic, the care I received was great, and ultimately my goal of having a baby was achieved. The only two critiques I have, would be that the website was not necessarily user friendly at first and the initial contact with Vios (Kindbody) was complicated. With that said, I will point out that the company I started working with (Vios) integrated with Kindbody during the time I was receiving care and some of the struggle, I’m sure was attributed to the merging of the two companies. The new website is easy to use and since then, I have not had any issues.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee.
I don’t remember.
Describe Ellen Hayes's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Kindbody - Milwaukee.
In my situation, given my age range,
diagnosis and embryo quality, Dr. Hayes and I decided it would be best to transfer one embryo at a time. We used the highest quality embryo and it worked.
I never was actually able to meet Dr. Hayes in person. I had one zoom call with her and she seemed a little aloof...Ellen Hayes runs Kindbody like a business solely. As a physician, I did not feel her compassion toward me and she did not reach out to me to explain all of the testing that they did. I left with >$1000 given and no answers, more questions and more worries. I do NOT recommend her. I suggest going to a different fertility doctor.
The [Kindbody-Milwaukee] app does make it easy to see messages and appointments which is nice. However the app and zoom calls are not a replacement for a thorough consult and explanation of labs and ultrasound results...Ellen Hayes runs Kindbody like a business solely. I would say do not go to this woman. Seek other practitioners
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
This was my first experience using a fertility doctor. I never was actually able to meet Dr. Hayes in person. I had one zoom call with her and she seemed a little aloof. I did not receive any more info than I already knew, granted it was the initial consult and both me and my partner are physicians. I did decide to go forth with diagnostic testing (as did my partner). in the weeks to follow, I never received further correspondence with Ellen Hayes. Her nurse did another zoom call with me in which I was basically told that my numbers show that there was "change occurring" and that it may show some "signs of age." I found myself reading REI journals on my own time and stressing. She did not answer any questions I had. Later when my IUD was removed after I decided to leave Kindbody, I told my Gyn my AMH level and she said that it was good! and that AMH of 2 at my age of 36 is not horrible like Kindbody suggested to me. I felt lied to and felt in the dark with a lot of information.
Describe the protocols Ellen Hayes used in your cycles at Kindbody - Milwaukee and their degree of success.
I got diagnostic lab testing and transvaginal ultrasounds. I was briefly placed on oral contraceptives.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Kindbody - Milwaukee.
Bad at drawing blood even when the vein is massive. Was told that my BP reading of 125 systolic was high and need to see my primary even though that is not the definition of hypertension and my anxiety was through the roof at the time.
Describe your experience with Kindbody - Milwaukee.
The app does make it easy to see messages and appointments which is nice. However the app and zoom calls are not a replacement for a thorough consult and explanation of labs and ultrasound results!
Describe the costs associated with your care under Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee.
I received lab work and transvaginal ultrasounds along with the Zoom consult. On the order of $2000

What specific things went wrong at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
My experience with Ellen Hayes was wonderful! She is a great doctor that is great at her job. Her character is full of positivity and she brings great passion when you meet her in person. My spouse and I were very excited that we were able to have a doctor that was very empathizing and did not push us to do things that we may have felt uncomfortable in doing.
Although the clinic [Kindbody] is small, it's cozy, tidy and neat. Strengths of the clinic is that they are attentive to their patients when working one-on-one. The weaknesses of the clinic is that there is usually just one staff admin at the desk so the wait time may be longer than expected. Overall, the clinic is great!

Ellen Hayes is wonderful; as long as you keep and open communication and open mind, she would be a perfect fit for you.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
Dr Hayes was very informative on the steps that we needed to take to come out of this journey successfully. She was hands on and when we first met her at our consultation she was very warming and full of empathy in our process and why we are seeking fertility treatment. When I met her in person for my ultrasound exam, she was hands on and was full of positivity that I really enjoyed her company as it made me have hope in our journey.
Describe the protocols Ellen Hayes used in your cycles at Kindbody - Milwaukee and their degree of success.
We are just over the hump of all the testing and results and are currently heading into the next treatment phase of IVF shots. Dr. Hayes was very informative on what my spouse and I needed to do in order to come out of this successfully and help us be in a better position. In the end result, Dr. Hayes recommended IVF for our treatment as my husband had male infertility. She also encouraged us to talk to the male fertility specialist and get their input to have a better understanding. Throughout the process Dr. Hayes stayed on top of our journey and made sure we were on the right track.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Kindbody - Milwaukee. (Assigned nurse: Lindsay)
Our nurse, Lindsay, has been wonderful! She is very communicative to us and very responsive, which I love! She is able to provide us the information that we need and also give us the flexibility of outside order testing since we lived 2 hours a way from clinic. She has been great and I'm very glad that we are working with such a wonderful staff!
Describe your experience with Kindbody - Milwaukee.
The clinic is located on the 4th floor and is a very small area. Although the clinic is small, it's cozy, tidy and neat. Strengths of the clinic is that they are attentive to their patients when working one-on-one. The weaknesses of the clinic is that there is usually just one staff admin at the desk so the wait time may be longer than expected. Overall, the clinic is great!
Describe the costs associated with your care under Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee.
If you don't have insurance then it could get pricey for all the consultation, ultrasound etc. I did not have insurance when we first started, so I had to pay out of pocket of $350 for our 30 min. consultation with Dr. Hayes. Afterwards we had to do the semen analysis and ultrasound plus genetic testing which total up to be around $750.00. My spouse had to go back for another semen analysis which was another $175.00 cost. All our outside order testing such as blood drawn were around the ball park of $50-120.00 per test. Currently right now my prescriptions meds are covered such as birth control pills. We are heading into the next stage of the IVF journey and for the package that we have chosen is the IVF Advantage package, I believe, which is at $15,800.00 that includes the treatment and monitoring but unfortunately does not cover the IVF shots/medications- which can range from $6,000-8,000.00.

How was your experience with Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
I have met with Dr. Hayes just twice now via virtual visits and she has taken copious amounts of time to make sure I have a knowledgeable understanding of the process. She has answered any/all my questions in a timely manner and took the time to speak with me regarding my experience with infertility background.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
The costs of infertility treatment is remarkable. I would highly encourage anyone and everyone to speak with their insurance company directly to seek out any possible infertility coverage and do their research beforehand. Being blind-sided by the unforgiving costs of infertility is just as, if not more, stressful than going through fertility treatment.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee?

Describe the protocols Ellen Hayes used in your cycles at Kindbody - Milwaukee and their degree of success.
I am just beginning treatment with Dr. Hayes. I was to start in January but was blind-sided by the costs of the medicine.
The only treatment I have started is birth control. This is to be taken for 21 days and then we hope to begin the injection treatment phase.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Kindbody - Milwaukee.
The nursing staff has been wonderful to work with. They have always answered any/all my questions in a timely manner.
Describe your experience with Kindbody - Milwaukee.
From personal experience, I believe this clinic should practice being more up front with costs of fertility treatment. The staff has been wonderful on explaining the process and have well-rounded material to educate patients on what to expect during fertility treatment. However, I was never once informed on the expected costs of the medicine that comes along with this.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee.
The costs with infertility treatment is unforgiving. Perhaps one day, insurance will cover most of the treatment, affordable financing will be readily available to anyone seeking fertility treatment.
Describe Ellen Hayes's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Kindbody - Milwaukee.
Dr. Hayes says it is in their practice to perform a single embryo transfer. We did inquire about a multiple embryo transfer and will ask again once we are there.
Dr. Hayes is always upfront in a delicate way. We have had some bad news on our journey to parenthood and Dr. Hayes has always been able to be realistic with us and also give us some hope by trying new protocols and using new technology for each cycle. She was open when I brought up things I wanted to try and always gave us the option to try it if we wanted...
Vios Milwaukee is a beautiful office in an accessible location. They use the most up to date technology. Since there are multiple locations in different states, the doctors are able to meet and discuss the hard cases and new techniques. The only con is you have to travel down to the Chicago location for any surgery type procedures...They [nurses] are all very compassionate and respond to my portal messages in a timely matter...

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
She knows what she is talking about. She does a lot of research and meets with other Vios doctors often to discuss certain cases. She leaves no stone unturned. She wants us to get pregnant just as much as we do. She is invested in our success.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
I feel like Dr. Hayes cares about me and my husband on personal level. She is always looking into new treatments and techniques to help us achieve a pregnancy. I have PCOS and poor egg quality, so getting viable embryos for us is difficult and she hasn't given up on us.
Describe the protocols Ellen Hayes used in your cycles at Kindbody - Milwaukee and their degree of success.
As I mentioned, I have PCOS and poor egg quality, so we have tried many different treatments and protocols.
-Duostim (luteal phase stimulation), Vios recently started doing duostim and have had some early success. We got more eggs, better fertilization, but similar embryo results (2).
-IVM (in-vitro maturation), a newer technique used to mature immature eggs outside of the body (these eggs would normally be discarded). We had 7 immature eggs, 6 were matured with IVM, 6 were successfully fertilized (great results for us), but sadly none of the 6 made it to blast (2 were close).
-Violet/Magenta (egg quality test), this is also new technology that evaluates egg quality by using photos, we confirmed that my egg quality was poor using this.
-RPL Panel (recurrent pregnancy loss), we did this test after my second transfer and I tested negative for everything.
-We've done other testing as well. Dr. Hayes really leaves no stone unturned.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Kindbody - Milwaukee. (Assigned nurse: Lindsay)
The nurses at Vios are great. Lindsay is typically the nurse that works with me, but I have also worked with Kelsey and Molly. They are all very compassionate and respond to my portal messages in a timely matter.

Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Kindbody - Milwaukee.
I was typically always able to schedule monitor appointments early in the morning before work.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee.
$16,000-$20,000 per IVF cycle with meds and additional testing. Our insurance only covered some of the diagnostics. I believe the IUI was $1,500 plus meds.
Describe Ellen Hayes's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Kindbody - Milwaukee.
Dr. Hayes typically recommends transferring one embryo if it is PGT normal. We transferred one PGT normal embryo with our first transfer and it did not implant. She did allow me to transfer 2 embryos with our second transfer after listening to my reasoning. We transferred a PGT normal embryo with an undetermined embryo for our second transfer, one implanted, but was a blighted ovum and resulted in a miscarriage.
Ellen Hayes was nice when I saw her Gentle during the ultrasound. Stopped when I needed to for a break, etc. Explained results, but some results took a year for me to realize the correct results...You only get one consult the rest of your questions will be answered by a secretary primarily or a secretary asking a nurse...
Strengths [of Vios Fertility Institute] are cost, openess to who they treat, etc. Other benefits are the information on their website such as fertility grants and funding. Other benefits are the vitamins and prenatals they offer on their store...They offered various packages for treatments, willing to customize packages based on needs...[nurses were] Gentle when drawing blood. Knowledgable. Talked through sectaries rather then directly.

Nurses did not answer questions directly, relayed information to a secretary. Primarily worked with Dr. Hayes and secretaries and financial navigator.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
Write down questions before the consultation and ask them during the visit. You only get one consult the rest of your questions will be answered by a secretary primarily or a secretary asking a nurse.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
I felt like a human because they answered all my questions. The reason I gave a four out five was because after asking lots of questions they started to want to communicate less, preferring to give their time to patients who were undergoing treatment.
Describe the protocols Ellen Hayes used in your cycles at Kindbody - Milwaukee and their degree of success.
Treatment strategies were going to wait to see what we should do. Possibly IVF or timed intercourse.

They offered various packages for treatments, willing to customize packages based on needs. Willing to put in a five thousand dollar down payment to lock in costs for the next year, which would go towards treatment cost. Very upfront about costs and very understanding about plans to be able to afford treatment.
Going through this experience was so difficult. Dr Hayes made it palatable. She gave us the information and guidance we asked for after each failed cycle. She showed us care and concern as we grieved, but gave us hope for another try. I felt comfortable in her care and was able to reach out to her or the clinic with any concerns along the way...Medications used for IVF: Gonal F 450 IU Menopur 225 IU Omnitrope 25 units Dexamethasone 1mg daily Ganirelix- tbd
Monitoring appointments [at Vios Fertility Institute] we easy and quick. I worked close to the clinic so I would schedule them around the same time every time. They took around 15-20 minutes and I was out the door. They always accommodated me and my schedule....Weakness: must travel to Chicago for long procedures, some communication mix ups from time to time...

Realizing you have fertility issues is a blow. But the ladies at Vios made me feel comfortable and cared for. Having gone through 3 rounds of IVF, I felt extra comfortable with them all and grew quite fond of them and my time there!
Describe your experience with Kindbody - Milwaukee.
Strengths: Kind, caring staff! Beautiful office! Educated doctors!
Weakness: must travel to Chicago for long procedures, some communication mix ups from time to time.
Our overall experience at Vios was a good one, although we are still praying for a baby. We went through 3 rounds of IVF without making a viable embryo. Although we did not achieve the results we hoped for, I would not discourage someone from pursuing their treatment here. Everyone’s journey is different and we are still hopeful one day we will be blessed with a child!

We were quoted around $25k all in with medications, visits, and procedures. This was per round. There were a lot of variables ie: pgt testing etc...
She [Dr. Ellen Hayes] did not questions us, but let me ask everything single question I had, and she did not cut our consult short. She recommended genetic screening, which I had asked for for with other doctors but they refused. She was very thorough on what needed to be done...she was extremely thorough on her thoughts and concerns about my past treatment. She knew what needed to be done and she wanted to get started right away.

They are GREAT communicators and very thorough when explaining something.
How was your experience with Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
Dr. Ellen Hayes is my third RE, but my fourth fertility doctor. I am at a point where I just want answers and do not want the run around anymore.
When we met with Dr. Hayes in March, she was extremely thorough on her thoughts and concerns about my past treatment. She knew what needed to be done and she wanted to get started right away. She was compassionate and understanding of our hesitations. She answered all the questions I had and was not pushy.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
Be specific with your questions- she will answer them thoroughly.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
My husband and I have been struggling with infertility for 2.5 years. I have had 3 chemical pregnancies and 1 MMC at 9 weeks. We have had multiples failed medicated cycles (resulting in two chemical pregnancies and my MMC), 2 failed IUIs, and a failed IVF round resulting in one of my chemicals. At first, I saw a fertility specialist where I had my IUIs, then after those failed, I saw a Reproductive Endocrinologist who performed my IVF round. During my IVF treatment, I did not feel like I was treated like a person, so I moved onto another RE within that clinic. I worked with him for 1 year and we still had no answers.
I came across Dr. Hayes and read outstanding reviews about VIOS and Dr. Hayes. My husband I met with her and felt an instant connection. We went over my history and she had all the answers. She did not questions us, but let me ask everything single question I had, and she did not cut our consult short. She recommended genetic screening, which I had asked for for with other doctors but they refused. She was very thorough on what needed to be done. She wondered why certain repeat labs and procedures were not done to make sure an infection was definitely gone, and she knew what protocol needed to be done if and when we were going to do IVF again.
Dr. Hayes was amazing. I wish I knew of VIOS before I started this journey. I would recommend them to anyone!
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Kindbody - Milwaukee.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Ellen Hayes at Kindbody - Milwaukee.
Dr. Kara Ehlers is very intelligent and knowledgeable in her field...She always remembered our past conversations. She never rushed through the appointments...I have PCOS with anovulation... I had been through fertility treatments elsewhere before using Letrozole, HCG shot, and progesterone so she agreed that it made sense to stick with that protocol at first...During our initial scans and ultrasounds, she noticed a polyp in my uterus
They [staff of Vios Fertility Institute] all had great bedside manner, were efficient at their job when drawing blood and doing any appointment prep, and they were always responsive on the portal and phone calls...Each medicated cycle was $1,500 for baseline, mid-cycle, and post-ovulation monitoring and bloodwork...Dr. Ehlers was able to keep me level-headed the entire time with all her information and willingness to discuss anything that I wished.
How was your experience with Kara Ehlers at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
Dr. Kara Ehlers is very intelligent and knowledgeable in her field. I am a scientific person and I appreciate her understanding of the medicine and the treatment that she was suggesting. I felt that she was always very upfront with us about what our expectations should be and what issues that we could have. She allowed us to be hopeful in the process while also assessing any risks and possible failures along the way. Fertility treatment is a roller coaster of emotions and I felt that Dr. Ehlers was able to keep me level-headed the entire time with all her information and willingness to discuss anything that I wished. My husband is much more of a blind optimist and felt that, at times, she was too blunt, however, I always appreciated her being straight forward and not sugar-coating the information. I attribute the success with Dr. Ehlers to her knowledge, confidence, and "no fluff" attitude to getting the result that we all desire.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Kara Ehlers at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
Ask as many questions as you want! She is willing and able to answer them and if she can't at that time, she will reach out to you in the messenger later to make sure that you always feel comfortable with the plan.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Kara Ehlers at Kindbody - Milwaukee?
She always remembered our past conversations. She never rushed through the appointments and talked me through every step and every decision that she was making. When we went through the miscarriage, she spent extra time with me that the appointment to console me and make sure that I was okay before leaving her office.
Describe the protocols Kara Ehlers used in your cycles at Kindbody - Milwaukee and their degree of success.
I have PCOS with anovulation. Dr. Ehlers knew that the first step was for me to simply ovulate. I had been through fertility treatments elsewhere before using Letrozole, HCG shot, and progesterone so she agreed that it made sense to stick with that protocol at first. During our initial scans and ultrasounds, she noticed a polyp in my uterus. Since we had already started that first medicated cycle, she was okay with waiting on any possible surgery until we see the result of that cycle. That cycle eventually ended in a miscarriage and we scheduled the surgery for polyp removal. Dr. Ehlers did it herself and gave me reassurance that everything went great. We used the same protocol for the next cycle after my surgery was the cycle since it had been successful the last time. During that cycle, I conceived my current baby--I am 34 weeks along now.

[Dr. Kara Ehlers] was comfortable and relaxed in her chair as she spoke with us...I was not impressed that I had to go over my chart with her after I had took the time to fill it out online and again with the RN. Then we had to go thru the same stuff with her. It was a waste of time and felt like a time filler. I’d prefer the chart to be read the highlights to be touched on and let’s get to figuring out a plan...We do not have a [protocol] strategy at this time.
The lab order was not complete and there was a lot of miscommunication [at Vios Fertility Institute]...The price varies. We have already spent over $1000 for the consult my husbands bloodwork my bloodwork a ultrasound and a HSG...The office is nicely decorated and private. Then consultation room is very comfortable with plush chairs and sofas. Staff is nice when you are in the office visiting. A lot is discussed to bring a notebook and make sure to take notes. This will keep you on top of your care.

Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Kindbody - Milwaukee.
I was told more than once different pricing when checking out. Twice I paid at time of service and then received a bill. I’d ask for a lab order request and it was missing labs. The staff said my husband needed semen analysis and genetic testing but we are suing a donor. It always seemed like there was miscommunication and no one was reading my chart before responding to questions.

Dr Ehlers is always smiling and appears positive. I didn’t appreciate that each time we had an IUI, she told me what she would do next month (sounded as she was assuming it wouldn’t work) while I was still on the procedure table. ... You better have tough skin ... Used letrozole 5mg for First two and 7.5 mg for last one. Triggered with ovidrel each time. Took progesterone suppositories after each
Friendly, flexible with scheduling. Quick to response on the patient portal. We struggle with getting them to bill insurance and have been right about supposedly uncovered claims on a few occasions ... Getting them to bill insurance was nearly impossible. Nurse and doctor weren’t always on the same page ... [nurses] Always positive, answered questions but felt like they sometimes contradicted Dr Ehlers

I had to have a uterine ultrasound, full blood panel and my husband had to be tested [by Kara Ehlers]...I had to have a uterine ultrasound, full blood panel and my husband had to be tested...compassionate and took great detail about explaining things...seemed to be more progressive than the last physicians I had...She was direct and gave me some hope...I did feel a little more compassion and hope would have been better for my own personal situation.
The nurses were great [at Vios Fertility Institute] but I struggled with navigating insurance and things fell through at times and I had to reach out myself. I sat down with someone who personally told me they would help me navigate my insurance. I was disappointed as I feel they did not help as much as I expected...They are a newer clinic and a satellite office and I believe they are working out the kinks. You would have to go to Chicago to have ivf performed which was a struggle for me. Overall, the staff was friendly but I would have liked more hand holding and contact and guidance.

I did not get to that phase with my physician as I had to switch doctors due to insurance. But due to my age we were going to try for two embryos possibly with IVF. It depended on grading of eggs.
