This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.
Dr. Macer himself ended up returning my call after 7PM that same day to get my Consult on the books for within 48-hours, and that he could begin my Diagnostics as early as Monday that coming week. That was impressive as I felt like he really cared that they are very hands-on...Very human, seems younger and passionate about the profession, not jaded. Well educated. Seems engaged, motivated, smart and involved.
Smaller staff means you get access to the real folks in charge [at Macer Fertility]...Human element, Hands-On Approach, Smaller Fertility Practice, Treated with more attention...Did not charge for video consult. Patient Coordinator Kyle (female) very friendly. Available to Text the Clinic #...Very personalized...Complete opposite of working with a sprawling HMO type of healthcare setup.
How was your experience with Matthew Macer at Macer Fertility Center (closed)?
Very human, seems younger and passionate about the profession, not jaded. Well educated. Seems engaged, motivated, smart and involved. This was a very tough decision, as I really liked Dr. Macer, and he was in the final top contenders to move forward with. Ultimately, it was the distance from my residence to his clinic, along with price comparisons (equal) that was the deciding factor. As a doctor, I would likely have preferred Macer to one of the other choices based on being more personable.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Matthew Macer at Macer Fertility Center (closed)?
If you're looking for a hands-on doctor who is still involved in the day-to-day with his patients (all of them), I would imagine this is the kind of experience you get moving forward with Macer. I was comparing this with another clinic that has quite a sprawling support staff, and I feel both have their upsides. If you live within 30-min of the clinic, if you want somewhat of a human relationship with your RE, this is likely a strong place for you to meet.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Matthew Macer at Macer Fertility Center (closed)?
I called/emailed three finalist clinics in the LA area after having done extensive reading. While I received a call back from the other two first, I believe this is because the team was moving offices the very days I had called. When I did hear back from them, I got both a phone call and a detailed text, and responded same day about possibly trying to get in as soon as possible to meet with the Doctor. While I had eliminated a competitor office due to some mixed reviews, and had scheduled with another clinic - my appointment had to be rescheduled due to a last-minute surgery added onto their calendar.
So It was around 6:30PM on a weekday that I texted the Coordinator that I would indeed like to meet with them. Dr. Macer himself ended up returning my call after 7PM that same day to get my Consult on the books for within 48-hours, and that he could begin my Diagnostics as early as Monday that coming week. That was impressive as I felt like he really cared that they are very hands-on.
Describe the protocols Matthew Macer used in your cycles at Macer Fertility Center (closed) and their degree of success.
Same as was recommended with others. AMH Test, then recommended Day 2 FSH, Ultrasound, etc. Recommended for my age that 20 eggs retrieved would be a "hopeful" number.

Very personalized and seems like you would really get to know both Dr. Macer and Kyle as one of their patients. Smaller staff means you get access to the real folks in charge.
WEAKNESSES: One location (this is great if you live near it, and maybe not as great if you need options for other locations).
Describe the costs associated with your care under Matthew Macer at Macer Fertility Center (closed).
Very consistent with LA Egg Freezing / IVF rates, on the more reasonable side. Surgery + Anesthesia was lumped into the Flat Fee for the IVF / Egg Freezing. 2nd Cycle $2000 Discount.
No Charge for Initial Consultation. This alone almost got my business for the full 2 IVF rounds, as other Clinics charged for the consult and I thought that was a great way to establish initial communication and trust - in an industry where these may be lacking.
Dr. Macer is very personable and knowledgeable...Since he was recommended, I felt very comfortable and confident that things would go as smoothly...I had a good response to the treatment so my appointments were always upbeat and positive, but I feel like he would have delivered the news in a very delicate way even if they weren't.
I loved the [Macer Fertility Center] Incinta facility, the design really made it feel welcoming and less like a sterile doctor's office. The clinic is really modern and has the latest technologies, so I felt comfortable that I would be getting the best results possible. I appreciated that everything was done at the one facility. Even though the staff has switched over, I'd still think they would be able to provide great care.
How was your experience with Matthew Macer at Macer Fertility Center (closed)?
Dr. Macer is very personable and knowledgeable. I felt he explained more to me in my one consultation than I received in all my annual ob-gyn appointments over the years. Since he was recommended, I felt very comfortable and confident that things would go as smoothly. While I didn't have any issues my only gripe would be I didn't know exactly what to expect before starting my cycle. Mostly in terms of preparing for a change and diet and activity level, as well as discomfort from all the bloating. It was relatively trivial but I could have been a little more prepared. I had a good response to the treatment so my appointments were always upbeat and positive, but I feel like he would have delivered the news in a very delicate way even if they weren't.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Matthew Macer at Macer Fertility Center (closed)?
Bring a pen and paper so you can write notes and asks all the questions. I wasn't as prepared for my appointments so felt like I a lot of information was given but I didn't retain much and ended up googling a lot of stuff after the fact.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Matthew Macer at Macer Fertility Center (closed)?
I believe Dr. Macer does well to ensure he treats every patient like a human and that he (along with his team) is there and available while you're going through the process. I am more of a transactional person and just wanted to make sure I was getting the best care.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Macer Fertility Center (closed). (Assigned nurse: Kyle)
I had two primary coordinators I interfaced with. Both were nice, but I didn't know exactly who I should be contacting throughout my cycle.

Describe the specific things that went wrong at Macer Fertility Center (closed).
I had to follow up to ensure I had all the results from my retrieval procedure and other monitoring appointments. I feel like this should be uploaded to the patient portal by default, but it wasn't.
