Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

Ask all the questions you need to, he [Dr. Matthew Will] will answer them...We did 2 IUI cycles with just Letrozole, I wasn’t ready to do shots yet. The next 2 IUI’s we did Letrozole and shots. The last 2 IUI’s we did the same but with donor sperm. All failed even though each cycle produced 4 eggs...He always remembered who I was and my issues. He was compassionate as well...I felt very listened to and he answered all of our questions thoroughly. He was always in a good mood. He was willing to do things at our pace due to finances. He understood our struggles and offered comfort.
The first two IUI’s were around $800 [at Midwest Fertility Specialists]. The second two IUI’s were around $2500. The last two IUI’s were around $3500 due to donor sperm...The clinic is warm and inviting. The front desk staff were very nice and warm. It’s a great place, especially when you are going through these tough struggles and nervous about what the future holds. They are very responsive to anything that you need...She [nurse] was great! She was always upbeat and funny. She always tried to calm my nerves. She was quick to respond to questions, calls, and emails. She was patient with giving us information we wanted.

we did an FET with Dr. WIll using embryos we transferred over from another clinic. There wasn't a lot that he could differently with them than any other Dr. We did do an ERA before the transfer to make sure the timing was correct.... He was very honest in what he thought we should do and the outcomes he thought we would get. He would call me to go over all test and results. He has plans on what we should do next to try again when we are ready
They [Midwest Fertility Specialists-Carmel] have a good process in place to make things work as smooth as possible. The office staff could be a little more friendly but other than that they are all great. I had a few billing errors that I had to call about but most of them have been taken care of as of now.... Emily was great. She would call with results and updated when needed. She would respond to my emails in a timely manor.

Dr Will told us if we did Pgs he would feel more comfortable transferring one. If we didn’t do the testing due to my age he would transfer two...He always seemed genuine with his help, when we only got 5 eggs at the retrieval I could sense he was upset right along with us...My husband and I had taken ivf off the table years ago but dr will made it seem possible for us. He always seemed very compassionate and very caring in talking with myself and my husband. I felt like he talked to us like people not just another patient.
Everyone was always extremely friendly [at Midwest Fertility Specialists]. Office was always really clean. They are always good about appointment times and we never really had to wait too long even during the stimulation part of the ivf process. They were also really personable I really like the clinic and would recommend to others...Emily [nurse] was amazing. Working full time I couldn’t always pick up the phone to ask questions but I emailed her and she was great at getting back with me right away...I absolutely love dr Will and his office. He [Dr. Colver] was nice, but didn’t seem interested in finding answers or going outside the box. We left the clinic for one that would help us find answers. When we found out our only embryo transfer failed, he wanted us to do another retrieval immediately (expensive) and the worst thing was even given the poor results he wanted to do the exact same protocol again! ... He was kind, but full of fluff. He didn’t have answers to most our questions and read our results to us without adding input. ...
Their [Midwest Fertility Specialists] rates are not high compared to the national average and they are expensive. They do natural cycles which makes it hard for planning. They are good at fitting people in, but our Dr. was on vacation or at conferences a lot he didn’t do any of our procedures!! They have 2 locations, if you do the Fort Wayne location your dr will not be there most days. ... They [nursing staff] were kind and pretty responsive. I liked the weekend staff more than the weekday staff.

Dr. Colver was always very hopeful for us and gave a positive outlook. We felt like he was on our side. We did kind of wish he would have been a little more blunt about the likelihood of success and told us more why we were not having any luck.... We had 3 IUIs. We started with Femara and moved on to Gonal-f injectables. I responded ok-ish to Femara and got a BFN so we moved up to Gonal-f but still go two BFNs.
Sherri [a nurse at Midwest Fertility Specialists-Carmel] was awesome. She was very compassionate and communicated with me every step of the way.... I was really intimidated to call the first time, but it ended up being no big deal and really like any other doc office. When I had bloodwork and/or ultrasound, I was usually in and out in 30 minutes or so, so I appreciated that. They also have early morning office hours for people that work.

She [Dr. Reuter] directed most questions and statements to me, even though my husband was there as well. My husband asked questions, but she mainly just talked to me instead of addressing his questions.... but during our initial visit with Dr. Reuter, she gave us a lot of good information and options for treatment that would be best for us. She mainly addressed me and not my husband, which made him feel uncomfortable and not part of the process.
They [Midwest Fertility Specialists] are very easy to work with in terms of appointment times and scheduling. They see patients as early as 7 am! Nothing but positives so far. They allowed my husband to collect a semen sample at home, which was really helpful for him. The staff is all very courteous and professional.... Shelly is great at responding to phone calls and in answering questions in a timely manner....

I knew he [Dr. Bopp] cared deeply about us and our story. He always took the time to sit with us and answer our questions.... He is wonderful. One of the best men I’ve ever met. He prayed for us before each transfer. He always answered our questions honestly. And he made me feel safe and heard. He is also brilliant! He did everything he could to get us to our happy ending.... He reserves a lot of time for consults, so make sure to take him up on it.
They [MW Fertility Specialist] are competent, friendly and compassionate. I was sad to leave them! I truly enjoyed my time there. If you have issues with them, speak up. They are usually willing to work with you. I had very few negative experiences with them. The negative were mainly due to my own frustrations with my infertility.... [Nurse] She is very blunt, but very capable and available. She’s a good balance to Bopp.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Bradford Bopp at Midwest Fertility Specialists (US Fertility Network clinic).
They were reasonable.
Describe Bradford Bopp's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Midwest Fertility Specialists (US Fertility Network clinic).
He is very concerned about multiples. He cancelled two of our iuis when I had 5 follicles. Always advised transferring only one embryo.

She ]Dr. Reuter] is kind and explains things well. Over time, it was easy to see her compassion shine through. She seems to sincerely care about explaining things and about positive results. She is a wealth of knowledge and she seemed to put our whole picture together well...She is so kind and patient. Her staff is excellent....Give her a chance beyond the first visit. While she may seem informative, one can miss the compassionate side of her.
Our consultation [at MN Fert Specialists] (initial) was about $270. Our second consultation was $85 (and much more informative). IVF costs about $14,000-$16,000 before meds...Her [Dr. Reuter's] staff is excellent...In our early stages, it was difficult to get SA results. That was a one time thing and was quickly resolved....Very responsive and helpful. They were definitely on our side!!...I didn't have much of a say in which of the 4 doctors we saw, but it seems that they are all excellent. I would choose this clinic!!

My doctor [Dr. Colver] was more on the blunt side of things but he still cared about my struggle and emotions.... Strengths were that he knows his field, treatments, statistics. a weakness (in my opinion) is that he started me on a treatment that he admitted up front probably wouldn't work because "it doesn't for most people." That wasn't very encouraging to me since I suffer from unexplained infertility.... Combination ultrasounds, hormone shots, and clomid cycles. Unsuccessful.
The clinic itself [Midwest Fertility Specialists] is very sparse and cold-looking. Since this is such an emotional journey for so many people, it would be really nice for the waiting rooms etc to feel more personable. Information about grants/loans is not plentiful either, which would be helpful....Total cost is due upfront with no options for payment plans, which was not communicated to me prior to my appointments....Staff was kind, organized, and informed on processes and policies.

Dr. Colver took time to explain everything in detail to us and answer all questions we had. We never felt rushed or like just a number or paycheck. He even called us back directly if we had additional questions that needed to be answered...The fact that our donor male had a disease show up on his labs was not released to us until transfer time and we found out from our surrogate. I had to call the office to request more info...Dr. Colver was always upfront with us and took time for us
Sometimes I felt a little left out [at Midwest Fertility] because of the fact that we were using a gestational surrogate. I felt that at times the nurses or coordinator could have contacted with me first and better than she did...The fact that our donor male had a disease show up on his labs was not released to us until transfer time and we found out from our surrogate. I had to call the office to request more info...he costs associated with our donor embryos and transfer were inexpensive in comparison to previous clinics. We felt they were priced right. I wish they had offered discount on multiple transfer though.

He [Dr. Colver] was very kind. He told me what to expect with my case and didn’t sugar coat anything. He even went outside the box and tried a few things he almost knew wouldn’t work. He went out of his way to see to it that I understand everything and the process it was going to take....I was having trouble with my uterine lining being too thin. He recommended I try sepository viagra to help with it.... We were doing pgs testing so we knew we were only going to transfer one embryo.
Overall I was pleased with my quality of care with Dr. Colver. His staff [Midwest Fertility Specialists] and himself were all very kind and compassionate. Dr colver did a good job and explaining everything to me and made sure I understand what we were doing. He also was up front about what my potential outcome was going to be.... [Cost of Treatment] In comparison to other RE clinics he was just slightly the highest

He [Dr. Bopp] was amazing and very positive along the way which is what I wanted...Be prepared for friendliness - the first time he hugged me I was shocked! I wasn't prepared for the personalization.
They [Midwest Fertility staff] would always call me back or get back to me quickly with what I wanted or needed to hear - I very rarely had to call for updates - they called me!
How was your experience with Bradford Bopp at Midwest Fertility Specialists (US Fertility Network clinic)?
He was amazing and very positive along the way which is what I wanted - it is a hard enough venture - and I was traveling and working and not even living in Indiana full time. But this clinic also had one nurse that I would talk to all the time - which was important to me and not to go thru multiple discussions every time I had a question. He kept me updated and I never had to call for results - which was nice.

He [Dr. Robert Colver] is extremely kind, caring and truly cares for his patients. We’ve always felt comfortable with him. He asks questions about our desires, our son and family and he remembers your answers months later. We appreciate his honesty because our situation is difficult...He will only do single transfers...At the very first consultation Dr. Colver had clearly studied our case, discussed his thoughts with my OBGYN and got to know us as a couple. He was honest with his thoughts regarding our treatment, gave us realistic expectations and tried to find ways to save us money. He truly cares about his patients and we are so excited to continue on this journey with him!

Everyone at the office we've encountered was great and helpful. We have a clear path of what's going to happen. They called me in a timely manner with results and always made sure I was in the know. I would choose this office again and again.... It's a great clinic and has everything in house.

Felt like Dr Reuter really cared about helping us start our family...She was very detailed in her care and made us feel very at ease despite going through something so stressful. After meeting her during our consultation/second opinion, I really believed if anyone was going to get us there, it would be her...I would take vitamins daily. Fermera, an ultrasound to check follicules, then the trigger shot, and then the iui procedure.
Each iui [at Midwest Fertility Specialists] was about $700...I really loved all the staff. Everyone was always upbeat and compassionate. I felt comfortable and full of hope at each appointment which I did not feel at the first clinic/doctor I met with. I felt valued...[All the nurses are] very polite and made us feel very welcome and comfortable during a stressful time...I would take vitamins daily. When I first went to see Dr. Colver, he thought that he was going to be able to use artificial insemination without any issues. Then when my tests results came back, he diagnosed me with depleted ovarian reserve. He was very kind and understanding and worked very hard to come up with an alternative plan for me.... The nurses are all very friendly and easy to talk to. They are always willing to answer any questions and take their time with you.

Dr. Will was extremely kind and knowledgable. Even during my miracle pregnancy after using donor eggs and surrogate, he followed my first trimester and sat in at every ultrasound. I will never ever forget how amazing he was....I did my monitoring for CCRM here. I also did one IUI with injectables....They are a well organized and friendly clinic. Their 7-day a week hours and quick on-site lab made things easy-breezy. The staff are impeccable.
While I did minimal treatments at the clinic [Midwest Fertility Specialists], I did ALL of my monitoring here. The staff at this clinic was simply amazing. Heartfelt, compassionate and made everything simple and easy. Even when I got a surprise miracle pregnancy, they followed it even though they had no skin in the game. He is kind. He's honest about treatment, but always takes the time to schedule an appointment or call/talk to you on the phone if you need to speak with him. He shows a great deal of empathy....I think he's the best (and is clinic) is the best in the state. I've recommended him on a number of occasions to other friends and colleagues and have nothing but good things to say about him.
The entire staff at the office [Midwest Fertility Specialis] is wonderful - caring, compassionate and takes the time to answer any and all questions and listen to your concerns....We did the Attain program, so I think it was 26k for a set number of cycles plus meds which were about 2000

[Dr. Kate O'Leary] is very compassionate and nice...think she cares and is very smart...feel like I spend very little time with her...don't feel like I get a clear answer all of the time...would like to hear more about data and what drives our decisions...IUI we used trigger shots and progesterone suppositories...IVF, we used a variety of medications, Gonal-F, Menopur, progesterone.
[Midwest Fertility Specialists] Weaknesses is how busy they are and how little you see the physician...nursing staff is very nice, but I often feel like they are the middle man. They can't answer your direct clinical questions...they will get back to you later once they talk with the physician...$35K...
How was your experience with Kate O'Leary at Midwest Fertility Specialists (US Fertility Network clinic)?
She is very compassionate and nice. I truly do think she cares and is very smart. I do feel like I spend very little time with her and that I still don't have a clear path to pregnancy. I don't feel like I get a clear answer all of the time. I know sometimes the answer is not clear, but I would like to hear more about data and what drives our decisions.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Kate O'Leary at Midwest Fertility Specialists (US Fertility Network clinic)?
Keep pushing and asking questions. It is your life and you have to advocate for yourself. This isn't specific to Dr. O'Leary, this is all of healthcare sadly.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Kate O'Leary at Midwest Fertility Specialists (US Fertility Network clinic)?
At the clinic, I often am not able to talk to Dr. O'Leary without a consult, which is $120. All of the communication goes through the nurses, and is very quick. If you call, you have to leave a message and they will get back with you.

The nursing staff is very nice, but I often feel like they are the middle man. They can't answer your direct clinical questions. It feels like a game of telephone.
Describe your experience with Midwest Fertility Specialists (US Fertility Network clinic).
The clinic is very close to my house which is nice when you have so many appointments. Weaknesses is how busy they are and how little you see the physician. I have seen other providers on Instagram say their patients always have their email to ask questions. They do not do this at Midwest. You have to call the nurse, leave a message, then they will get back to you later once they talk with the physician.

[Dr. Erica Will] and her staff took time to answer our MANY questions and never made us feel silly for asking...We were seen twice for blood work and analysis before we ended up getting pregnant. I had a prolactinoma that was missed by another doctor which meant I was not ovulating. My husband had no morphology which meant we had an even lower chance of being successful. Once my thyroid and prolactin levels were fixed through medication we had a successful pregnancy. Dr. Will had me come in right away and prescribed Progestrone because mine was low. She took no risks with making sure my pregnancy continued. We got ultrasounds right away and she was clearly happy for us.
staff [at Midwest Fertility Specialists] took time to answer our MANY questions and never made us feel silly for asking. We got email follow-ups and the staff were genuinely excited for us when we had a successful conception...nurse, Chelsea, was so sweet as well!...We got email communications from Chelsea who was easy to talk to and very calming and compassionate!...They occasionally ran a little behind but no worse than any other doctor's office. The front office staff is kind and well organized. We had an easy time getting everything transferred to a traditional OBGYN once I was at 12 weeks.

She [Dr. Erica Anspach Will] did an amazing job listening and being attentive to our needs. I really appreciate her compassion and professionalism. She [Dr. Reuter] is so knowledgeable! If you’re looking for facts, absolutely. If you’re looking for someone to help navigate the craziness that is fertility treatment maybe someone else...After my egg retrieval i didn’t have any embryos make it, i received a phone call that was cold, and she did not try to comfort me at all. I understand she’s a doctor but that left me feeling hopeless and cold.
[Midwest Fertility Specialists nurse] helped me through my bad days, and helped guide me through the good days...Overall, it truly is a great clinic. It’s private, not too crowded and great nurses! I love that you can have labs done right there in office, plus they usually get the results within a day or so. I loved the billing team being available through it all so you can do small pieces instead of a huge amount!
