Attention to Detail
Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.
For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.
CDC Success Rates
This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.
For more information please see our FAQs.
Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.
Dr Kan is very professional as is his staff. He is very caring and seems to really care for his patients... He is very knowledgeable and treats my husband and I as if we are his only patients every visit we have. He is always on time. I hear a lot of stories where patients only see nurses or PAs. I appreciate that [Dr. Sanaz Ghazal] is the one only treating me (obviously I don’t see her on blood draw days)... believes in eSET since the goal is healthy baby and healthy mom and multiples have too many risk associated with it, along with risks with my “advanced maternal age”...is very caring and patient in explaining...She never rushes me...I haven’t had much success with my IUI treatments.
Dr.Ghazal is temporarily using OC Fertility as her office so I don’t believe the they communicate quite as well with her since her schedule is done on her own...They are quite punctual which is a plus...I sometimes have to follow up to get lab results or to confirm my rx is called in...I would say approximately $2500 total per IUI (one cycle was cancelled to too many follicles)...Dr. Ghazal is very caring and patient in explaining. I’m a pharmacist but the level of detail to understand fertility is very in depth. Since I understand medical terminology I probably ask for more information than most. She never rushes me
How was your experience with Sanaz Ghazal at CCRM Newport Beach?
I haven’t had much success with my IUI treatments. Being a pharmacist I’m hyper aware of the side effects of the drugs I’m on. I hear a lot of stories where patients only see nurses or PAs. I appreciate that Dr. Ghazal is the one only treating me (obviously I don’t see her on blood draw days)

Describe the protocols Sanaz Ghazal used in your cycles at CCRM Newport Beach and their degree of success.
The truth is based on my labs and my husband’s SA and my age. The truth was IVF was ideal. But we also believe that diet and nutrition plays a vital part in our health and fertility health so we wanted to try IUI first, now we realize that we will probably have to go one step further and do IVF

What specific things went wrong at CCRM Newport Beach?
She [Dr. Sharon Moayeri] is great at giving you realistic expectations. She is very dry and to the point but I appreciated that. She explains the risks of everything that happens. When I was faced with health issues related to the treatment she had referrals of specialists for everything...She is very busy and the visits are short. If you don’t have questions she will not ask...Have your questions prepared...she always answered our questions.
Easy to go in and out [at CCRM Orange County]. Parking can be tough depending on time of day. There is a pharmacy in the same building which is nice but they don’t carry all fertility medications. The clinic is open until 6 for apt but only until 4 if you call which can be frustrating...The staff was welcoming...They [nurses] were personable and knew you and your cycle whenever you came in. Con is they were always running behind.
