This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.
For more information please see our FAQs.
Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.
During my IVF cycl [with Dr. Jay Bolnick] I was monitored every few days through ultrasound and advised to drink a lot of fluids and consume extra protein. I don’t really feel that he used any special protocols. Just basic IVF meds and monitoring...He took the time to explain at consultation and procedures but when I was having issues for baselines for frozen embryo transfer there were issues that weren’t addressed and when I tried to call the office I never received calls back.
I was happy with my care at this clinic [Ob/GYN Associates of WNY] up until the point the infertility nurse left the practice mid-cycle and months passed by without an adequate replacement...For the most part there were no issues until the fertility nurse left the practice. After that point I had issues getting my prescriptions called into pharmacy and had issues getting responses and call backs about treatment options
How was your experience with Jay Bolnick (OB/GYN) at OB/GYN Associates of WNY?
Dr Bolnick explained things fairly well at consultation and when we proceeded with IVF The retrieval went smoothly. I was disappointed that we only had 2 embryos frozen out of 13 retrieved and were unable to do a fresh transfer. When I returned to the office for baseline testing, there were issues with lining thickness and I was unable to go forward with frozen embryo transfer for 3 months in a row. I attempted to address the issues and figure out what we could do to move forward and got no response in several occasions from the dr or nurses

There was always long waiting times in the office [OBGYN Associates of WNY], doctor [Bolnick] was always in hurry with other things to do...Doctor was a nice person, made little jokes to ease any awkwardness during iui. However, it was always a long wait when it came to seeing him, he talked somewhat fast and seemed to be in a hurry with a lot of other things to take care of. So I wouldn’t ask many questions. I’d call the office at a later day with any questions I may have.
The clinic [OBGYN Associates of WNY] is overall very busy. Waiting times are long and everything seems rushed. The nurses and doctor [Bolnick] always have a lot to tend to so you never know what’s next...She [nurse] was nice, she seemed to have too much on her plate and couldn’t keep up. She always seemed a little stressed when asked questions and it was playing phone tag to get answers...

I used oral fertility meds for a while before switching to follistim. I used provera to bring on a period. Then started on a high dose of follistim for the first time. Which created to many follicles, overstimulation and a canceled cycle. The next cycle we did a low and slow procedure which produced a couple good sized follicles. Did an iui procedure, got a neg pregnancy test.

Dr. Todaro is down to earth, honest, gentle and open to answering all the questions you may have. He provides excellent referrals, and has connections for all my associated needs... has been my gynecologist for over a decade and recently performed a laparoscopy-hysteroscopy-cyst removal. I felt completely at ease when he did the surgery because he explained the procedure fully, met with me before hand and followed up both with me and the other doctors involved in my fertility treatment. I healed exceptionally well and have nearly no scarring.
Overlook the brisk and less than friendly office staff [at OB/GYN Associates of WY] he works with because Dr. Todaro is great!...Dr. Todaro is compassionate and friendly. I feel completely at ease talking with Dr. Todaro, asking questions and during all exams and procedures. Dr. Todaro has been able to talk to me in language I understand throughout my fertility journey. My husband asked Dr. Todaro lots of questions and Dr. Todaro helped both of us understand what would take place during my surgery and recovery.
