Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

Dr Rossi has always been upfront with us. She always tries to give us as much information as she can about all of the different options available even if they aren’t the “traditional” route. We have went from IUI’s to IVF and back to IUI’s which is where we have had most of our success. It has wonderful that she has been there beside us and available to talk with each loss each time being an encouraging force...always takes time out to make sure that we are okay with everything that is going on and is willing to reach out if we need anything.
They [Ohio Reproductive Medicine] have been wonderful to work with. Their strength has been the ability to pivot in difficult situations. One of the great strengths is the years of experience this team has. They have also recently joined forces with more specialists which has been helpful...Dr Rossi always takes time out to make sure that we are okay with everything that is going on and is willing to reach out if we need anything.

Dr. Rossi's initial consultation with me was virtual because of COVID. She made sure she understood me as a person as well as my medical chart. She was always very kind and knowledgeable. She always made sure I understood the course of action and what was expected of myself and her and her staff as well...I could ask any questions at all and they would always have the answers and reassure me.
[the ORM nurse] allowed me to ask questions without feeling inadequate for asking those questions. She always asks how I was feeling and allowed to me learn more about my treatment...I only went to the clinic three times. Each time it was very clean and everyone was very nice. The front desk person was very nice and helpful. All the machinery was clean and working properly. I have complaints. I also feel that this clinic is very affordable and competent.

I have PCOS so the goal was to ovulate and make sure there was no other reason as to why I was not getting pregnant on my own. I was given Letrozole and had timed intercourse. I also went and got the procedure done where they shoot dye up into your tubes to ensure they are clear.

The first protocol [with Dr. Steven Williams] was the luteal lupron protocol, which only yielded one embryo. The second protocol was the microdose and it only yielded 2 embryos. He tried the microdose because the first protocol was not successful...He gave me the same speech during both miscarriages and didn't remember or have on file my precious miscarriage...Both cycles I went through with him he had the same lines to tell and the same reasons behind everything. He forgot he had talked to me about things previously and didn't remember my previous cycle with him. My last appointment he was going off someone else's chart.
The clinic [Ohio Reproductive Medicine] has it's own storage and freezing facility next door which is a bonus. It can get really busy in the mornings for bloodwork, but the clinic has it's own blood draw lab right in the building so you do not have to go to many different places...The nurses responded to messages quickly, but were not very caring...Several times I had to call in to get test results because they forgot to call. One of the appts I had with the Dr he was reading off a different patience notes and had my paperwork misplaced somewhere...It was around 8000 for the ivf cycle itself and around 2500 for the medications. The 2nd round insurance covered some. It was 1200 for ivf and 2000 for medications.
How was your experience with Steven Williams (retired) at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic)?
Every time I saw him he repeated the same thing. Both cycles I went through with him he had the same lines to tell and the same reasons behind everything. He [Dr. Schmidt] was kind but didn’t always seem to know my case specifically, or maybe didn’t remember. Didn’t see him very often for ultrasounds . Felt like he didn’t usually want to spend time answering questions....He is kind and initially makes you feel like he can help you . It just seems like he gives up on you fast and is in to the next one... It [Ohio Reproductive Med] is a very busy clinic and can make you feel like a heard of cattle
It [Ohio Reproductive Med] is a very busy clinic and can make you feel like a heard of cattle . The front desk always tells you you owe money but can’t tell you exactly what for which is frustrating....I have had prescriptions they said they called in not be there. I have showed up for IUI and they said I wasn’t scheduled. They didn’t end up fixing the IUI appointment but how stressful. I have called with pertinent questions and them not get back to me till it was too late. I have also had another doctor in the practice treat me very poorly

Love the doctor very kind and explained things well. I believe I was kind of underestimated on my infertility being only 23 and 24 when I had my first visits . I spend several months with different medicine and injections that did not lead to pregnancy. I over stimulated on my 1st and only round of injections and that was not explained to me neither was the morning monitoring . I feel like answers are even further away and I'm not sure where to go now
I didnt know I would see different doctors in the morning for ultrasounds [at OH Repro Med] and didnt know the process some weren't too kind or detailed and some were very detailed and explained. Very good about calls back if I had any questions loved the nursing staff. Wishing I could have a little bit more information about IUI but I was very conscious about money since most was out of pocket so I believe it really wasn't offered

Be your own advocate and know your treatment options before you speak to him [Dr. Grant Schmidt]...told us about alternate treatments after we had already used less effective method and spent a lot of money. He said he didn’t tell us about the more expensive treatments up front because of the cost. We would have preferred to use the most effective treatments right away, regardless of cost...He uses Femara instead of Clomid. We tried 3 cycles of Femara, trigger shots and timed intercourse before we tried 4 cycles of IUI. Finally he suggested we use a combination of Femara, trigger shots, Gonal-F, and IUI...
I would call and leave messages for the clinic [Ohio Reproductive Medicine] and they would respond through messages in their app. It felt like a disconnected way to communicate because I couldn’t ask them questions directly. I dealt with multiple nurses and at times they didn’t call us back with test results in a timely manner. I never truly had confidence that what we were doing was going to get me pregnant, and ultimately, I never did get pregnant with their assistance.

Twice they didn’t have us on the schedule for appointments they told us to come for. They did ultimately see us those days but only after we waited for over an hour. They also never called with results about my husband’s sperm when he was initially tested, and said it was because there was nothing wrong with his sample.

What I remember was 5 rounds of clomid with successful ovulation but unsuccessful fertilization. We moved on to Letrozole, and she [Dr. Laura Londra] allowed my husband and I to decide if we want to use IUI or not. We chose to do the trigger (hcg) shot at home and have IUI. We did this for a total of 5 rounds with one break in the middle. We finally conceived the 5th cycle.
I loved everything about ORM except their billing. We had a few descrepancies during the process (that were rectified) that were a little difficult to understand. But I don’t think their billing is much different than any other medical practice.... Sally was as compassionate as Dr. Londra. I felt as if she were as invested in this process as my husband and I were. She did a great job reiterating everything that Dr. Londra had determined as my plan of care and giving me specific dates.
How was your experience with Laura Londra at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic)?
Dr. Londra was very compassionate during the entire fertility process. When I finally received the positive pregnancy test she literally squeeled with excitement at my visit. I felt like she was as invested in this process as I was!

She’s very thorough, her bedside manner isn’t the best and she has a dry sense of humor. She [Dr. Kennard] did make us understand everything, my husband has a medical background and he felt she talked to us like we were a little bit dumb.... She wanted to do a semen analysis for my husband, several blood tests, laparoscopy and HCG. From there she wanted to do timed inter-course with clomid and a trigger....
They were great, very organized. I think HIPAA is an issue though.... Communication is a strength, timeliness in the waiting room, getting back to you and they [Ohio Reproductive Medicine] book pretty far out are all weaknesses. I did like that we were able to call with any questions we had without asking to come into the office every time. They were very good about communicating over the phone.... Very excessive, a semen analysis was well over $1,000 whereas it was covered 100% through our gynecologist.

She’s very thorough, her bedside manner isn’t the best and she has a dry sense of humor. She did make us understand everything, my husband has a medical background and he felt she talked to us like we were a little bit dumb.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Elizabeth Kennard at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic)?
She takes a while to get an appointment with, the clinic is incredibly expensive and they do not help with payment whatsoever. We chose to have as much testing done with our gynecologist as we could because it was covered under insurance.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Elizabeth Kennard at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic)?
She was very thorough and explained everything every step of the way.
Describe the protocols Elizabeth Kennard used in your cycles at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic) and their degree of success.
She wanted to do a semen analysis for my husband, several blood tests, laparoscopy and HCG. From there she wanted to do timed inter-course with clomid and a trigger.
Describe your experience with the nursing staff at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic).
They were great, very organized. I think HIPAA is an issue though.
Describe your experience with Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic).
Communication is a strength, timeliness in the waiting room, getting back to you and they book pretty far out are all weaknesses. I did like that we were able to call with any questions we had without asking to come into the office every time. They were very good about communicating over the phone.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Elizabeth Kennard at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic).
Very excessive, a semen analysis was well over $1,000 whereas it was covered 100% through our gynecologist. The procedures they wanted to do there were thousands of dollars and we were able to get a lot of them covered through my gynecologist and the results sent to Dr. Kennard.

Very considerate and knowledgeable. He [Dr. Steven Williams] always made me feel comfortable while in his care.... I do not remember which injections I did for IVF. My first cycle I inserted 2 embryos, 1 took and was successful. On my second cycle I inserted three eggs, one took but ended in a miscarriage due to a birth defect at seven weeks. Third cycle we inserted three eggs and none took.
All of the staff [at Ohio Reproductive Medicine- Columbus] are very friendly. The only weakness I would list is they keep raising their price.... Nancy and Mckenzie [nurses at OH reproductive med] were amazing. If I had a question I needed to call the office or send an email, they were very fast to respond... How was your experience with Steven Williams (retired) at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic)?
Very considerate and knowledgeable. He always made me feel comfortable while in his care. The only thing I did not like was on my second and third retrievals I had a different doctor. I just wish Dr. Williams was there to do those as well since he was my doctor.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Steven Williams (retired) at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic)?
You're an excellent care with Steve Williams.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Steven Williams (retired) at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic)?
Dr. Williams is amazing. Just wish on my following two cycles I would have seen him every time especially for retrieval and Insertion.

Describe your experience with Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic).
All of the staff are very friendly. The only weakness I would list is they keep raising their price. Other clinics in New York are half the cost. I just recently heard about a clinic in New York which I am considering. In my heart I would rather stay local with Dr. Williams instead of traveling eight hours away. Cost is a factor.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic).
I believe I have three ultrasounds for monitoring the embyo growth.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Steven Williams (retired) at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic).
I think the cost is a little pricey.

Dr. Williams never rushed me and always took time to answer my questions....Dr. Williams showed compassion. He was also realistic and honest. I went through 2 rounds of IVF with ICSI and got pregnant both times.... If he suggests different options, he is fine with you doing research before you make your decision. He wants you to be comfortable with your decision. Also, he gave us his honest opinion when we asked for it.
You don’t always see your doctor, but all of the doctors are great. They [Ohio Reproductive Med] have a lab right next door that they work with, which was very convenient for my husband. The only thing I don’t think we were prepared for the first time was how much of a toll it would take on my husband. He had a hard time giving me shots and seeing me hurt.... Each round was around $15,000. My insurance covered blood work and ultrasounds.
How was your experience with Steven Williams (retired) at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic)?
Dr. Williams showed compassion. He was also realistic and honest. I went through 2 rounds of IVF with ICSI and got pregnant both times. My first pregnancy ended with a miscarriage at 14 weeks due to an incompetent cervix. My second pregnancy gave us our beautiful, bubbly 3 year old girl. I would highly recommend him.

Dr Friedman was clearly experienced and successful with his practice. He was confident in his direction and made us (husband, surrogate, surrogate husband and myself) comfortable with the process. Some people may be uncomfortable with his at-times bluntness, but it worked for us! Don't expect a ton of hand-holding and "there, there's". But if you want a capable, trustworthy doctor who can get the job done, he's your guy. We really liked him a lot.
Everyone [at Ohio Reproductive Medicine] was great at communicating! Our nurse always promptly returned calls and fully explained what came next, timing, and expectations....This is a successful practice that knows what it is doing and runs like a well-oiled machine. Clean, friendly. We had multiple conversations with billing/insurance coverage. The in-house finance person is generous with her time and never made time for us whenever we had questions.

Don't recall the dosage and mine was different from my surrogate - a lot of moving parts and people. Whatever he did worked! We had a successful surrogate pregnancy with just one cycle and transferring one embryo.

Clomid cycles followed by femara cycles and IUIs [protocols with Dr. Williams]. 6th cycle I had a chemical pregnancy and he suggested I try IFV after completly healed...was professional, yet didn’t make you feel terribly comfortable. When you’re going through fertility treatments, having a doctor who doesn’t make you feel odd is a huge plus. I ended up switching facilities because I wasn’t 100% comfortable with him.
The clinic [Ohio Reproductive Medicine] was difficult to navigate. There were multiple waiting rooms and it was laid out in an awkward manner. Additionally, my husband found the men’s collection room to be uninviting and dirty...nurse was professional, however when I had my ectopic pregnancy she forgot that I needed a Rogam shot, so I had to drive back to the clinic the following day to have it administered.

Dr. Kennard was easy to talk to and receive feedback from. She was very “no-nonsense” which I appreciated. She didn’t over do hopefulness nor was she dismissive about my situation. I feel like I left every appointment with realistic expectations and goals...is going to give it to you straight, work toward your best course of action and keep you informed of the process, progress and options.
Some of the [Ohio Reproductive Medicine] clinic strengths are a great location, new facility, ease of parking, excellent staff. Because their facility is new and state of the art I feel that they can offer the most cutting edge practices. One weakness is no weekend hours...The nurses at my clinic were the best I’ve ever encountered. They were always available for questions and concerns. They were friendly, helpful and understanding. They put my nerves at ease and were responsive to my emotions.

Dr. Williams showed a lot of compassion for me, but I felt like he didn’t really know me as a patient. He used the wrong chart to go over further directions with me after a failed FET. He is a great doctor, I also just didn’t see him each time which bothered me. I know how the clinic works and it’s not possible every time, I just wish I could have seen him more often....mix of information was emotional...
[Ohio Reproductive Medicine clinic] are very organized and have an exact way to do everything. Everyone in the office is nice and efficient. They are more than willing to answer questions anytime you have them & respond timely. If you’re having bloodwork, be sure to get there early so you’re not stuck there for a long time...given a quote of around $12,000 - from egg retrieval to ultrasounds & the embryo transfer.

Dr. Londra is very kind and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain everything in detail. She answered all questions in an easy to understand manner. Her hours were flexible and accommodating even on the weekend...Started with timed intercourse and Letrozole x2. Increased Letrozole and added trigger shot x 2. Increased Letrozole with trigger shot and IUI x2. Second IUI resulted in miscarriage...
The clinic [Ohio Reproductive Medicine] is clean and organized. You must pay up front or you can not schedule further appointments which I was not made aware of prior to coming. My insurance changed but I was still required to pay even though the payment was processing with insurance...Nursing staff can be challenging to get ahold of but they always responded to my calls the same day. Prior to Dr. Londra having a primary nurse I spoke to various nurses who all had different answers for the same question which can be frustrating

Dr Steven was upfront about what we will be doing. After fail 3 iui he gave me an option to do surgery and it was the best decision ever made. Even after the follow up he straight told the truth IVF was the next thing to do. I was afraid cause I knew I couldn’t afford it and I ask him to do another iui but after my hsg test it wasn’t best to do cause my one of my tube was blocked. Overall he did what he can an as cheaply possible first!
The clinic [Ohio Repro Med] strength is that they will tell you upfront about the financial part. Weakness is that when I did the iui I felt like a number . It was crowded some days kinda felt awkward they I need some privacy ... They [nursing staff] was fine. I leave them a voicemail and they call right away. They demonstrate how to use a syringe that was helpful

He [Dr. Schmidt] was absolutely the sweetest man and made every step of this process so easy. At our first visit we knew a diagnosis and next steps. He made me feel like he cared about our success and we weren't just another number through the door....We were started first on the lowest dose of femara and then trigger shot to induce ovulation. We had the same protocol for the third round but we added in the IUI
There were no weaknesses, they [Ohio Reproductive Medicine] were one of the easiest offices to deal with. Never came in contact with anyone rude and everyone was very sweet. They office was always clean and when private matters were being delt with, they had the appropriate spaces available.... We paid for the visits, ultrasounds, medications, and IUI. The IUI was a flat fee of $380. The trigger shot was $110 and the femara pills were $2.40

He [Dr. Schmidt] is caring and takes time to sit and answer all my questions. ...Dr. Schmidt treated me with respect and i do feel he wanted me to have success. He was compassionate, but not blunt enough when it came to adjusting treatment plans or offering suggestions - i often has to push him for advice on next steps and i felt like he just did the same treatment and meds for everyone and didn’t individualize our needs. I feel like he would have me doing IUIs until the day I die.
The clinic [Ohio Reproductive Medicine] treated me well until I was upset about being pushed into IUI after IUI and questioned billing after being milked for money. Had numerous surprise bills pop up. The nurses do what they can but overall I feel the clinic just wants their money. ... [Nursing staff] Awesome and caring and compassionate! Fast call backs. ... IUI Was $256, ultrasounds $389, donor sperm $700 from cryobiology , injections were hundreds.

He [Dr. Steven Williams] was very personable and tried to really get to know me during our time together...He was really great. Gave lots of diagrams. The only negative was he didn’t really seem to want to see me before we had been TTC for two years because I was only 25 the first time I went into his office after we had been trying with no success for 13 months... gave me basic blood tests and told me he wasn’t worried about me because I was only 25 and had only been trying for 13 months. I tried to schedule an HSG for three months but couldn’t get a single appointment for it at the office.
I think the clinic [Ohio Reproductive Medicine] is very nice and very compassionate. I would certainly use them again if my current doctor that I’m seeing reaches the point where he can no longer help me in my fertility journey. The only weakness was that they didn’t take me seriously because I was “too young to worry about”, but I understand where they are coming from...I had a hard time getting my blood tests transferred and had to call a few times, but I think that’s just because they’re usually pretty busy.

During my 2nd round of IUI when Dr. Williams entered the room he asked me if I had ever had a vaginal ultrasound. Considering I had done my first round of IUI the month prior and had 2 previous ectopic pregnancies, anyone who would have read the chart before entering the room wouldn't ask that question. He also down played how serious my diminished ovarian reserve is and didn't inform me that IVF cycles would have a low success rate. He was ready to move forward without reviewing all the statistics and all my options. I'm just glad I got the 2nd opinion before moving forward. I would not recommend Dr. Williams to anyone who has diminished ovarian reserve or any other complex medical issue. They do not take outside factors into account before planning your treatment.
They [the nurses at Ohio Reproductive Medicine] were always very nice and informative...They are a very nice staff of people they have working for the doctors. If you have any serious hormone imbalance or any complex issue, I would recommend researching several different facilities first...During my 2nd round of IUI when Dr. Williams entered the room he asked me if I had ever had a vaginal ultrasound. Dr. Londra was always showed empathy through the process and took time to explain each step.... Dr. Linda cares about her patient and shows such thought the process. She was kind and yet straight forward with me. On top of being so great she listened to me on what has worked and didn’t work in the past.... We started letrozole with provera and did 1 IUI to check sperm counts. She let us decide is we wanted another IUI but didn’t feel it was necessary.
Good communication across the board. Easy to schedule appointment [Ohio Reproductive Medicine] and always returned phone calls in a timely manner. Two separate waiting rooms which was confusing at first. Very minimal wait. Take a notebook and a folder I feel like sometimes you forget what happens because it can be overwhelming.... Sally is a perfect communicator and shows such love for what she does. Easy to talk to explains things well.

Dr. Williams made the experience relaxing because he kept the atmosphere light-hearted. In such a heavy aspect of someone's life, that light-hearted nature really helped to feel at ease. He was honest but kind and hopeful.... We first checked for blocked tubes doing a dye test then doing 3 rounds of IUI. Next we checked for endometriosis with laparoscopy and also had my husband evaluated and subsequently treated. One last IUI the month after laparoscopy and it worked.
It's very nice-waiting areas and atmosphere. The staff [Ohio Reproductive Medicine] are kind and well organized. The location is somewhat hidden which can be good for privacy but harder to find for navigation. It's near many restaurants which resulted in us grabbing breakfast while waiting for our IUI to be ready to perform.... Pricing seemed to be on par with what I'd heard for other clinics.

Dr. Rossi was kind, compassionate, and we truly felt that she was invested in the outcome of our cycles. She was direct with us when we had less than favorable results during workup and during our losses. She is a very trustworthy physician...She would call with updates and after our loss she called to discuss next steps and how we would do things differently next time.
Billing [at ORM] is not transparent/unorganized. I've had good communication from the nursing staff. New facility is much nicer. Blood draw is quick and easy most of the time. Wish they had a patient portal to exchange non-urgent messages...Single transfer recommended, did not ask about multiples but I know they discourage it...

Dr. Schmidt is patient and he's transparent. We never had a bad visit with this office. We were warned up front that he was a busy doctor who was highly requested but never felt like we didn't matter...Be patient he's very popular and you might see the other doctors in the practice but he will still be over your care...He was truthful but still offered hope. No falsehoods and no promises just promised to help us get answers which he did.
This clinic [Ohio Reproductive Medicine] sees a high volume of patients and wait times can be lengthy. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. They are close to lab locations so blood work can be done same day as appointments with little travel...The nursing staff was friendly and wonderful! Describe your experience with Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic).
This clinic sees a high volume of patients and wait times can be lengthy. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. They are close to lab locations so blood work can be done same day as appointments with little travel.
