Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

Very clean facility [Ohio Reproductive Med] and everyone is courteous. All of my questions were always answered promptly. My embryos never made it past blastocyte stage.

[Dr. Brooke Rossi is] Very personalized service and willing to adjust treatment plans to my specific needs. She listen and responds with facts and empathy which allowed trust to be built faster and more efficiently. Dr. Rossi takes the time to research her patients issues and concerns as she comes across knowledgeable and realistic about the future.
Ohio Reproductive, medicine is a OK clinic whereas a lot of patients come through then in their services. It’s important to make sure as a patient you stay on top of communication and coordination with the nurses and doctor. Overall the clinic that was a fantastic job of keeping everyone updated and aligned on what should be mixed with your care.

Overall, I have been really pleased as [Dr. Elizabeth Kennard's] patient. The only thing I would say is I wish she performed every procedure and not who the doctor was on call that day. She makes sure that the patient is well informed and is taken care of. Very knowledgeable and compassionate...Because I already had a set of natural born twins Dr. Kennard would only let us transfer one embryo at a time instead of multiple embryos
[Ohio Reproductive Medicine] is a very clean, compassionate, respectful clinic that is very knowledgeable and what they do, I think they need a better front desk communication when patients call. You can never talk to a front desk person you have to leave a message...Their staff is friendly and kind and willing to always accommodate patients needs...Each transfer is 4-6,000 dollars and all the initial stuff was close to 25,000 dollars No including all the medications and blood draws and scans

How was your experience with Elizabeth Kennard at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic)?
Dr. Kennard has 20 years experience in this field. She keeps up with the latest evidence in reproductive medicine and offers the best. I specifically asked for her to do my egg retrieval because I knew she had much experience. She is kind, direct, and considered and discussed alternative plans when something wasn’t working. I truly think this was probably the single thing that lead to our success.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Elizabeth Kennard at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic)?
She may not always have a fuzzy bedside manner: but I learned that everything she said to me she said with a directness in order to ensure I understood all my options. During a time of high emotions and uncertainty that had lasted years, I welcomed her direct recommendations and calm presence.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Elizabeth Kennard at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic)?
I transferred to Dr. Kennard from another practice where I truly felt like just another number. From the initial consultation Dr. Kennard spoke to me with kindness and empathy as well as a directness that I really appreciated.
Describe the protocols Elizabeth Kennard used in your cycles at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic) and their degree of success.
Dr. Kennard was very direct after our first few IUI cycles failed that IUI was not going to be successful. I did one more IUI after that and realized She was correct. I needed time to process this and went back after some months. I was ready to start IVF. My first cycle for egg retrieval went well , but because I experienced ovarian hyperstimulation she recommended that we freeze the Embryos and await frozen cycles. I was grateful for this because I felt pretty symptomatic from that cycle. I then went through 2 frozen embryo cycles with the same protocol: suppressing ovulation and transferring. After both were unsuccessful, we scheduled a consultation with Dr. Kennard where she expressed surprise at our lack of success and laid out all the options. She did some more testing on me that came back normal, and also suggested trialing a newer Protocol that involved letting me Ovulate and transferring. She also described how to proceed Of this cycle was Still Not successful. Thankfully the third cycle worked.

I love the IVF nurses at this office. They knew what they were talking about, did a great job with medication education, held My hand and hugged me when I most needed it. Great experience.
Describe your experience with Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic).
Strengths: physicians, nursing staff, beautiful new building, professional. Weakness: billing department. My insurance company denied my fertility service coverage because they received an incorrect diagnosis. The billing department was extremely frustrating to work with when I asked For their help in sending over my updated paperwork to my insurance company. They talked to Me liked I had no idea what I was talking about (I am a physician). Very frustrating. Finally the doctor herself Wrote me a letter that was the reason why insurance reversed their decision.
Describe your experience with your monitoring appointments at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic).
Fast, efficient, I was never waiting long for my ultrasounds. Coordinated with lab work Well.
Describe Elizabeth Kennard's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic).
Dr. Kennard was clear that in my particular case she was unwilling to do multiple embryo transfer due to chance of success for Both..but explained that she does do so in certain circumstances. I was content with this approach for myself.

As a woman with PCOS, I'm far from unique — but Dr. Rossi treated me as an individual and worked to find the right "recipe" for me and my body...She treated me as an individual, was compassionate, understanding and thoughtful...She did inform me, however, that I'd likely need fertility treatment/intervention again should I want a 2nd child. In which case, I was to contact her when I was ready to start the process again!
There wasn't a great "onboarding" process [at Ohio Reproductive Medicine]; for example, I didn't know about or how to access the portal at first until I realized I was missing important communications from my nurse. The appointment booking process was simple enough; billing could be a challenge at times, but where isn't it? Bloodwork was always a breeze and straightforward as well...I had switched to her care after working with another provider at ORM and I'd switch again 100 times over. She treated me as an individual, was compassionate, understanding and thoughtful.

Describe the protocols Brooke Rossi used in your cycles at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic) and their degree of success.
My husband and I had our first consoltation with Dr. Rossi in June 2021 after a not-great, failed IVF attempt with another doctor at ORM. Dr. Rossi, knowing I have PCOS, put me on a low-sugar and low-card diet, along with Metformin. We tried ovulation medication and timed intercourse for 3 months, then when that did not result in a pregnancy, we stepped up to increased ovulation medication and IUI. We discussed trying IUI for more than the typical 3 months as she felt it was just starting to work, but after the 3rd bout we conceived and no need! Dr. Rossi did my first ultrasound at 7 weeks then released me to my OBGYN. She did inform me, however, that I'd likely need fertility treatment/intervention again should I want a 2nd child. In which case, I was to contact her when I was ready to start the process again!
Describe your experience with your nurse at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic). (Assigned nurse: Coryn)
Coryn was very responsive — to all my questions; small or otherwise. She was careful to communicate Dr. Rossi's treatment plan to me each time and was very helpful! She also showed great compassion throughout our communications.

How was your experience with Elizabeth Kennard at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic)?
She is a very direct woman. She is very kind, compassionate and informative. As someone that is a part of the LGBTQ+ community I always felt as though I was treated with the same respect that any other person would receive. Another thing that really meant something for me was that she was going to work with me if i needed extensive treatment but if I felt overwhelmed or just needed a break that was always an option as well. My experience with Dr. Kennard was 10/10.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Elizabeth Kennard at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic)?
She is very direct. Don't take that as a sign of rudeness. She is a very kind person and she has your best interest in mind always.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Elizabeth Kennard at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic)?
She was always very direct and I could tell that she sympathized with me and my situation. Before I came to her I had done 5 IUI's with Clomid. She right away changed my treatment because she knew it wasn't going to work for me. I also was given a direct phone number to communicate with her nurse Megan (such a sweetheart) in case I needed anything or had any questions. Doctor Kennard always included my wife and answered any and all questions we had. Overall great!
Describe the protocols Elizabeth Kennard used in your cycles at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic) and their degree of success.
The treatment that she provided for me was prescribing Letrozole and Metformin. Then I was prescribed a trigger shot and after she did the IUI. Later I took an at home pregnancy test and it was positive. I then had blood work and an ultrasound. I am only 8 weeks but am feeling hopeful as I didn't think I was even going to be able to get pregnant! So grateful!
Describe your experience with your nurse at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic). (Assigned nurse: Megan)
Megan was so sweet and handled everything very quickly. One of the other nurses in particular was NOT very kind/helpful. She wasn't even Dr. Kennard's second nurse. I wish I had a name to give you so that you could avoid her but sadly I do not.
Describe your experience with Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic).
The clinic's strengths I would say is that they got me in to see the doctor for a consult pretty fast. They are open everyday except for Christmas which is nice because you will never have to miss a cycle! I never had any problems with the clinic myself but it seemed like every time I was in there, someone was having problems with billing. Advice as a new patient would be don't be nervous and check out the website they have a whole page dedicated to your first visit.

Dr Kennard is kind, compassionate, and easy to talk with. I never feel rushed during appointments. She listens, shares information, and I feel like she really wants to help. I’ve only had a few appointments but I always leave with questions answered and knowing what’s next...She explains what’s happening and what to expect during procedures. She shared test results and next steps in a way that helped us be cautiously optimistic.
Everyone we’ve met [at Ohio Reproductive Medicine] is kind and helpful. The office is clean, welcoming, and organized. Someone is an expert about everything; if one person can’t answer a question, they will connect you with someone who can. We’ve always been greeted with smiles and have never had to wait long...The nurses are knowledgeable and always know what is going on...Dr Kennard is compassionate and kind as she shares information. She explains what’s happening and what to expect during procedures. She shared test results and next steps in a way that helped us be cautiously optimistic.

Dr. Londra was wonderful to us. She answered all our calls and made us feel important. We were confident with her. She was trustworthy, easy to understand, had a good bedside manner and was gentle. We contacted her with questions even after we conceived our daughter and she was happy to answer our questions.... She treated us like we mattered. We felt like she wanted to help us conceive and we look forward to having another cycle with her.
The facility [OH Reproductive Med-Columbus] is adequate for the procedures conducted within. They provide opportunity for every service needed including blood draws. We used a clinic closer to home as we had over an hour drive and they communicated with the clinic, even sent our information electronically in advance so we didn’t have to do anything but walk in.

The clinic [Ohio Reproductive Medicine] did a wonderful job of assessing my needs, understanding my issues and taking action. The office was clean, centrally located and the staff was very friendly...[nurses were] Organized, personable and knowledgeable...My insurance has covered the majority of the cost.

Dr. Schmidt is an amazing doctor. Very kind and caring, great bedside manner, and doesn’t do or recommend unnecessary testing and procedures. He is straight forward but compassionate at the same time...He is very intelligent in this field...Dr. Schmidt held my hand every step of the way. It would be easy for him to say forget it and that he couldn’t help me, but he never did. He knows the pain and devastation that comes from infertility, losses, and failed cycles, let alone the financial burden. He helped me every step of the way we are still working our way to our miracle baby. He is such an amazing human.
I absolutely love the [Ohio Reproductive Medicine] IVF nurses, as these ladies are the ones who have been with me through all of these ups and downs. How was your experience with Grant Schmidt at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic)?
I have been trying to conceive for almost 20 years now. No successful pregnancies prior to seeing Dr. Schmidt. I knew my medical diagnoses and he confirmed this, but was optimistic that we could still work around it. Each cycle was faced with twists and turns, but Dr. Schmidt held my hand every step of the way. It would be easy for him to say forget it and that he couldn’t help me, but he never did. He knows the pain and devastation that comes from infertility, losses, and failed cycles, let alone the financial burden. Describe the protocols Grant Schmidt used in your cycles at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic) and their degree of success.
I have PCOS - so no periods or very irregular. That was the first issue. The 2nd issue was no ovulation. After the first few medicated cycles we moved on to IUI. That did not result in a pregnancy. So we moved on to IVF. Dr. Schmidt very carefully monitored as he was concerned about Overian Hyperstimulation. The first cycle was a failed trigger shot so they did not get any eggs. The 2nd retrieval did not result in any eggs at my retrieval. The 3rd cycle ended up being cancelled because he wasnt seeing the numbers he wanted. 4th cycle we retrieved eggs but none fertilized, and the 5th and final cycle (decided to do ICSI here on this one) was 22 eggs retrieved, 15 matured, 15 fertilized and we ended up with 7 embryos. Dr. Schmidt made minor adjustments along the way as I would give dramatically different results using the some protocols. He was very careful not to change things too much but tweaking along the way to achieve desirable results. I opted not to do PGTA testing, but after a chemical pregnancy and 2 miscarriages after transfers we decided it was time. 4 embryos were tested and we have 3 PGTA normal embryos.

I have nothing but good things to say. Make the appointment, dont waste time thinking things will get better. If you are struggling trying to conceive, make the appointment! You will not regret it, and this clinic will give you more options and eduction than what your traditional OB-GYN office will have.
Describe the costs associated with your care under Grant Schmidt at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic).
I have no idea, and probably don’t want to know what I have paid.
Describe Grant Schmidt's approach to eSET (elective single embryo transfer) vs. multiple embryo transfer at Ohio Reproductive Medicine (Boston IVF Network clinic).
He only recommended 1 at a time, and I was perfectly fine with this.
