Dr. Dominguez is different than the first two doctors I saw in that she approaches infertility holistically. There is definitely the traditional Western view on what kind of treatment (IVF, IUI) to pursue, but she also takes into consideration what is going on with your body in general, and how to heal it from the inside out. I have been a patient of Dr. Dominguez for about 5 months and I appreciate how honest she is with me. I've never felt like she was too busy to talk to me or answer my questions. She's so knowledgeable and I can tell that when she is seeing me, she is trying to figure out the best course of action for me; no one else.

Don't be intimidated! She's not a timid, quiet doctor. She says what is on her mind and what she thinks will be best for you. Don't get me wrong, she is very compassionate, but her main goal is to figure out what the issue is and fix it.

So far, I have done a cycle with injectable meds in order to trigger ovulation. This would have been an IUI cycle, but she wanted to do a test called the Receptiva first. This test needs to be done at a certain point after ovulation, and since I do not regularly ovulate, I had to use injectables. She suggested this test after I had a failed FET with another doctor with an excellent quality embryo and an ERA test that showed I was receptive at the correct time. This Receptiva test shows if there is inflammation of the lining which can cause pain and failure to implant. Unfortunately, my test came back super positive (1.4 is considered positive and I had a 3.9) but for once, I finally had an answer as to why the FET may have failed and what was causing me such severe pain during that time.

Currently, the cost has not been outrageous. Luckily for me, I have good insurance that covers most of the office visits (aside for a small copay) and some of the medication costs. We were quoted that an FET would run us around $5k plus the cost of meds due to the fact that that portion would not be covered under insurance.

We have not gotten to IVF yet, but because I do only have two frozen, I think we will only be doing one. Not sure on what her exact views on eSET are and how much input she takes from patients on this subject.

I was never treated like a number. Always treated with respect. I sometimes felt like I had to repeat my questions and still wasn't satisfied. He is smart, compassionate and very positive but sometimes a man of little words which sometimes left me with questions unanswered or adequately answered.

If you have any questions, ask. Don't be afraid to keep on asking.

I was prescribed heparin for my donor cycle. I became pregnant; however miscarried at 10 weeks. Doubled up on progesterone injections at 6 days past 5 day transfer due to bleeding.

$5,500 for FET (own eggs retrieved at another clinic and donor eggs) $15,500 for clinic fees associated with donor egg cycle

Dr. always pushed to transfer two embryos to increase odds.

He has great bedside manner and is compassionate. He didn't explain procedures to us, what to expect, etc. His descriptions were always very brief and not informative. Our course of treatments were never discussed in detail beforehand. For example, he mentioned trying IUI first with us, but did not explain why, possible statistics, etc.

Do research and come prepared with questions. We went in without researching what we should have been asking, expecting he would provide information first.

We had a long agonist protocol, first starting off with birth control and Lupron. Menopur and Follistim were added. They produced 12 follicles. There was no rationale nor explanation given to us for using them. We showed up to our injection lesson and were told what medications we would be on, how to administer, etc. This was never discussed prior, e.g. during the consultation.

As a patient you always want to feel welcome and and he definitely made me feel at ease as a new IVF patient. Also, will make sure all testing is complete for your specific concerns prior to a cycle.

They work as a team so you may not always see the same doctor. Ask any questions you may have. He is very knowledgable!

He was trustworthy with his diagnosis.

She is loyal, caring, and informative. She keeps up with up to date medical advances. She makes sure that you are comfortable and will hold your hand through it all. You can count on her all around. Dr. D is also funny. You go in scared but come out relieved.

You will be well taken care for.

She went through past records then went to a plan of the next steps. She was very thorough on what was next and made sure everything was up and running
