Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is on a 1 - 10 scale, and is scored based on the rate, and severity, of errors committed by the clinic according to the patients.

For example, a severe error might be failing to inform a patient of critical information, while a small error might be failing to call a patient with results.

CDC Success Rates

This is the most recent data from the CDC. The CDC cautions that it should not be used to compare doctors and clinics. This data represents the outcomes of IVF cycles when using a person's own eggs.

For more information please see our FAQs.

Where you see a “?” on the chart, a clinic has done fewer than 20 cycles in this category and age range, so the CDC says showing percentages from this small data set would be misleading and unreliable.

nursing staff [at Parkhill Women's Clinic] is wonderful. They are always so kind and helpful, both over the phone and in the office. We love the staff there...is an aboslutely beautiful clinic. The waiting room is always so inviting. They're always fully staffed and so friendly. With the virus going around, they have taken the precautionary measures necessary to keep all of their Dr's, staff and patients safe, and I really appreciate that.
How was your experience with Scott Bailey at Parkhill Women's Clinic?
Our previous Dr before coming to Dr. Bailey would always waste our time. I would wait hours after my scheduled appointment before he would actually see me, and Dr. Bailey has never made us wait more than 5-10 minutes. That's one of the top reasons I love him as our Dr. He's kind, compassionate, and he knows that everyone's time is just as valuable. Speaks volumes to me.
What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Scott Bailey at Parkhill Women's Clinic?

I'll forever be grateful for him, even if we never get our happy ending on this journey.
Describe the protocols Scott Bailey used in your cycles at Parkhill Women's Clinic and their degree of success.
Dr. Bailey started us by having us both tested. When my husband's SA came back perfect, we focused more on me. He started us on just medicated cycles, because he knew how important it was for us to try as "naturally" as we could to conceive. When that didn't work, he suggested doing IUI's. After 5 failed IUI's we became disheartned by it all, but he kept pushing us to not give up, because he had seen miracles happen. We proceeded with a little more blood work to see if there were anymore underlying issues. Blood work was all good, but then we discussed a laparoscopy. From that, we found a small amount of endometriosis and a cyst on my tubes, and both were removed. He had put a plan in motion from there, but with the virus we've had to move that around a little.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Scott Bailey at Parkhill Women's Clinic.
Unfortunately, our insurance doesn't cover anything "infertility related", so all medication and procedures are out of pocket. Dr. Bailey has done 3 out of 5 of our IUI procedures and has treated us like family through all of them and has gone out of his way to give us a "family discount" (I'll never be able to thank him enough for it either), with the other 2 IUI's performed by other Dr's we paid around $400-$700 (not including medication, which cost about $200 all together)

Success w/ Doc Too early to know
Dr. Hix's bedside manner is really great. He's informative, caring, understanding and never leads you astray. He explains details thoroughly and always seems to know what I might ask before I even get to it. Dr. Hix makes you feel like he wants that positive pregnancy result just as much as you do...We have done an HSG, 2 rounds of Clomid, ovarian cyst removal surgery, and multiple rounds of Femara with timed intercourse and IUI's. He has prescribed Metformin, Progesterone, Buspirone (for stress/anxiety), trigger shots for the IUI's. HSG: came back oridinary no blocked tubes Clomid: I did not respond well and developed cysts as a result.
Parkhill Clinic is a great place. They are very organized, always answer the phone in a timely matter and I have never had to wait too long. The office is very chic. It's clean, new and in a great location - connected to the hospital...Sheri and Dr. Hix's other 2 nurses are wonderful. When calling the office, they are the first to answer your call and answer your questions/fill prescriptions and schedule appointments. They are very knowledgeable and always seem to be available. They have also taken great care to get to know me and understand how frustrating this journey is.

During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Robert Hix at Parkhill Women's Clinic?
Dr. Hix made me feel welcome from day 1. He has eased my mind on many occasions and has always been positive with his delivery & bedside manner. When my husband was at an appointment, Dr. Hix would include him and make him feel comfortable. He answered our questions with great detail and took an active interest in not only our medical issues/history/treatments but our personal lives as well. He understands the frustrating wait and sometimes results during infertility because he personally went through it all.

Dr. Hix did his absolute best to ensure that we understood what the options were. He did thorough diagnostics, he offered options for treatment, he made sure that I had a choice. He was supportive at all times and positive. He had a plan and took us through it one step at a time. He is honest and forth coming, he has great bed side manner...not reproductive endocrinologists and this does create some limitations.
They [Parkhill Women's Clinic] have a strong support staff from the receptionists to the lab techs, the nurses, doctors and even the billing department. They offer a much needed service in the area, doing their best to help local women start their families. They coordinate via two offices in the area to make it convenient for their patients and work together to ensure a patient is always cared for. They are truly supportive of their patients throughout the entire process.

What's one piece of advice would you give a prospective patient of Robert Hix at Parkhill Women's Clinic?
I recommend speaking with Dr. Hix about his expertise with fertility patients. The clinic provides a service that is desperately in need in the area, the only clinic that treats fertility through IUI. But they are not reproductive endocrinologists and this does create some limitations.
During treatment, were you treated like a number or a human with Robert Hix at Parkhill Women's Clinic?
Dr. Hix walked into the room every time with the following statement: "Let's get you pregnant." His positive attitude and genuine desire to help us on our journey made me feel like he saw me as an individual. He took the time to explain in detail the process and his recommendations. He was always focused on us from the moment he walked into the room until I was ready to leave.
Describe the protocols Robert Hix used in your cycles at Parkhill Women's Clinic and their degree of success.
The first step was diagnosis, for both of us, HSG for me and sperm analysis for my husband. Once the results came back, his approach was to use fertility medications (chlomid, then femara) to ensure we could time intercourse to ovulation. He did ultrasounds and used trigger shots to ensure our timing was exact. After 3 rounds without success, he suggested moving to IUI. Over the course of 4 IUI cycles we switched from Chlomid to Femara, added estrogen and progesterone to the cycles. None resulted in a positive pregnancy test.
Describe your experience with your nurse at Parkhill Women's Clinic. (Assigned nurse: Sherri)
Sherri and the rest of Dr. Hix team are incredible. They are compassionate and caring. They are helpful and supportive. They answered all questions thoroughly and in a timely manner. They were willing to help with every need and if not available, they ensured that other nurses in the clinics had the background to answer my questions.

Describe the costs associated with your care under Robert Hix at Parkhill Women's Clinic.
Prescriptions were based on my Rx coverage. Scans were covered by my insurance, and were $120/scan. IUI was also covered by my insurance- the total cost was $340 per insemination
